One Week

Pairing: Kuroo Tetsuro x f!reader

Summary: You and Kuroo decide to spend the week leading up to your wedding sleeping apart. After all, it will make your wedding night feel that much more special, right?

A/N: Hopefully the text message format I used makes sense 😬 This is 100% inspired by an episode of How I Met Your Mother in which Marshall and Lily do this exact thing. Tbh it's my comfort show and this is like my 5th time watching it, and when the episode came around, the fic idea hit me like a truck. ALSO there is a small reference to one of my old past fics in here, and if you get it you're a real one.

By the time you get to your best friend and maid of honor's apartment, it's late. The whole day had been spent putting together all of the favors and décor for your wedding, now only one week away. You're so exhausted you feel like you could fall asleep on your feet right here in the entryway, but she pulls you the rest of the way inside, wrestling your bag through the door after you.

"Geez!" She huffs. "Why's this so heavy? You didn't pack Tetsurou in here, did you?"

You roll your eyes. "A week is a long time! I had to pack a lot of stuff. Besides, bringing him would kind of defeat the purpose, wouldn't it?" You raise an eyebrow. This had initially been your idea, after all. You thought that spending the week before your wedding away from each other would make the night of your wedding that much more special. Since you already live together, you figured some time apart would probably do you good, anyway.

"I suppose it would," She agrees, "But I know how you two are." You narrow your eyes at her, but before you can respond, she's already tugging you toward the living room.

"I've got the sofa bed all ready for you," She announces with a proud flourish, and you feel almost like you could collapse just at the sight of it. It's full of fluffy blankets and two giant pillows, and she's even generously loaned you one of her plushies.

"It looks like heaven," You groan, stifling a yawn. "I'm wiped."

"So am I," She agrees, fighting back a yawn of her own. "Guess we'll have to save the sleepover girl talk for tomorrow night," She shrugs. "It'll be just like middle school all over again!" She loops her arm through yours, and you can't help but giggle at the thought. The two of you sure did share some wild sleepovers back in the day. "Alright," She finally says, "I'll see you in the morning."

When you're finally ready for bed, you crawl under the covers happily. You snuggle into the pillows as you cocoon into the blankets, trying not to think about how strange it is to be lying in bed all alone for once. There's no warm body wrapped around yours, and not even your cat to curl up against you. "Guess it's you and me, Mr. Unicorn," You murmur as you tug the plush into your arms, giving in easily to the exhaustion pulling on you.

The next day is busy enough at work. You're only working for the first two days this week, having taken the rest of the week off to focus on the wedding prep. Between tying up all of your loose ends at work and the mental to-do list you keep adding tasks to, the day passes with very little thought of Tetsurou. It's not until you're laying in your sofa bed that night after a movie and snacks that it starts to hit you.

You hug the unicorn plush close again, but you're very aware of the absence of your fiancé. You're so used to his arms around you at night, his nose pressed into the nape of your neck.

Maybe it's silly, but with all of the stress starting to weigh down on you, you find yourself missing the comfort of his presence much more than you'd anticipated. With a sigh, you roll onto your back and reach for your phone. Your thumbs only hover for a moment before you hit send.

I miss you

It isn't long before your screen lights up with a reply.

You literally saw me yesterday you weirdo

Is it bad that even that teasing sentence brings you some sort of strange comfort? You're just about to type a reply when another message comes through.

Which is why it's so ridiculous that I miss you too

You can't help the smile that steals across your face at that. For some reason, the knowledge that he's feeling the same things you're feeling lessens the ache a bit.

It's dumb

You feel confident in saying it, now that you have this thread of connection with him.

You said it, not me

Comes his cheeky reply, quickly followed with,

Mittens won't leave me alone. I think he thinks I murdered you and disposed of the body.

You almost chuckle aloud at that.

Poor guy, he misses me too 🥺 and honestly, his fears are valid

You curl up on your side, holding your phone close.

Uncalled for

And then

I'm about to fall sleep, so I'd better go. I'll see you later this week

You try your best to ignore the disappointment sinking in your gut.

Me too. Goodnight, I love you

His reply comes almost immediately.

I love you too. Night

It's enough to satiate you, anyway. On Friday, only four days away, you'll see him for the rehearsal. That's not really so far away. As you lay there clutching your phone, you can feel your eyes growing heavier.

The next day is just as crazy, as you give your coworkers instructions for your absence and make sure all of your projects have been submitted. After work, you go straight to dinner with your bridesmaids, and the whole evening is spent talking and laughing together.

By the time you make it back to the apartment, you should be so exhausted that you all asleep immediately. You definitely feel it, but from the moment you lay down, the hollow feeling slowly returns to your middle. You hesitate when the thought first occurs to you, but it seems reasonable enough. You'll feel better if you can just hear his voice for a few moments.

"Hey Baby," He answers after two rings.

"Did I wake you up?" You blurt out quickly, instantly feeling guilty and wishing you had just tried to fall asleep.

"Nah," He assures you, "What's wrong?"

"N-nothing's wrong," You sputter. "I just-"

"Missed me?" He finishes for you, and the teasing lilt in his voice is almost enough to make you hang upon him on the spot.

"Maybe," You respond petulantly instead, and he laughs. The sound of it, even through the phone, is enough to set you more at ease.

"Who knew you were so clingy," He muses. "Just can't get enough of me, huh?"

"Maybe I'll just hang up," You huff.

"Wait," He says a little too quickly, and you smile to yourself. Gotcha. "Mittens wants to say hi, too. You can let him know you're not dead." Suddenly, the phone line is filled with the rumble of your cat's purr.

"Hi baby boy," You croon into the phone, "Dad isn't being nasty to you, is he?"

"You're on speaker," Tetsurou warns as Mittens lets out a small meow, and you laugh. "Plus I'm not his dad," he reminds you as he always does.

"Sure, whatever you want to tell yourself," You laugh again. You're feeling so much lighter, in a good way. As your laughter dies down, you try to hold in a yawn.

"Sounds like you're ready to fall asleep. I know you've got to get up early tomorrow to meet the florist."

"Hm, yeah." You acknowledge begrudgingly.

"It'll be here before you know it," He says softly.

"I know." You hold the phone to your ear for a few moments in silence. "I can't wait."

"Me neither. I love you so much." You can tell he's getting tired because he's getting sappier.

"I love you too, Tetsu."

"Say it again," He says it so low that you almost don't catch it.

"I love you," You repeat. "Good night, Tetsu."

"Good night," He echoes. "Love you, Baby." Even after the line goes dead, you can still feel the smile on your face and the warmth in your middle. As you fall asleep, you set an ultimatum for yourself. For the next two days, you won't contact him at all, just like you'd intended. Piece of cake.

The next day, you hold to your promise. After a busy day spent running here and there, the sofa bed has never felt more comfortable. You resolutely set your phone face down on the end table and close your eyes tight. Tonight, you're not going to break. You're a strong, independent woman. You tell yourself that until the long day finally gets the better of you and you drift off to sleep.

Finally, it's Thursday. One day until the dress rehearsal and you see Tetsurou again. You're proud of yourself. Sure, you'd only made it one night without contacting him, but technically, you haven't seen each other at all. You're going to count that as a win.

You actually have some time to relax before bed, and you and your friend pull out all the stops. She's got an array of face masks, fancy lotions, and even a foot spa she'd pulled out from somewhere. You're just laying out the last of the snacks when your phone dings. It's a message from Tetsurou.

You didn't call yesterday

Very interesting.

Sorry, I didn't know we had an appointment

His reply comes almost immediately.

I'm outside. Come out for a minute?

It's all you can do not to laugh out loud. Still, he came all this way. You shouldn't let it be for nothing. You glance at your friend, mind working quickly to think of a valid reason you'd need to leave the apartment at this time of the evening.

"I'm going to get in the shower," She suddenly announces. You can't believe your luck. Your stint as her roommate proved that she is notorious for taking long showers. "Don't eat all of the Takis before I'm back or else."

"Would I do that?" You ask, hand splayed across your chest indignantly. She shoots you a glare and heads for the bathroom. The moment you hear the shower turn on, you slip on a pair of shoes and you're out the door.

You practically run into Tetsurou the moment you step outside. "Hi," he says sheepishly, with his familiar crooked smile. You launch yourself into his arms, and he immediately holds on tight.

"Hi," You breathe back, finally pulling back enough to look into his face again. "We failed," You say solemnly, before breaking into a grin.

"We did," He agrees, pressing a kiss to your lips. "Spectacularly."

"She's in the shower," You explain quickly, "So I shouldn't really stay too long."

"Alright," He says absently, thumbs tracing a pattern against your hips.

"You didn't bring Mittens, did you?" You crane your neck around him to check for the cat backpack you'd purchased on a whim a few years back.

"Don't be ridiculous," He says drily. You pout, and he kisses it away.

"I missed you," You sigh against his lips despite yourself, and you feel his lips curving into a smile.

"I missed you too." He admits. He pulls back again, and you silently drink him in. "We're getting married in two days," He says candidly.

"We are," You agree, grin threatening to burst off of your face.

"And I'll see you tomorrow at the dress rehearsal," He adds.

"Mmhmm," You nod. You glance at the time. "I should get back inside," You say reluctantly. In response, he pulls you in for one last kiss.

"Goodnight. I love you. So much."

"I love you too. So so much." Before he can one-up you, you pull away and turn back inside. "Goodnight!" You call over your shoulder.

The moment you step through the apartment door, you freeze. Your friend is standing there, arms crossed. "How was Tetsurou?" She asks coolly, a smile playing at the edges of her lips.

You open your mouth, then close it. "I was just getting some fresh air?" You finally say weakly.

"And I'm Albert Einstein." She replies, turning for the couch. "Come on," She pats the cushion next to her, beckoning you forward. "You two are disgusting," She adds as an afterthought. She's shaking her head, but she's smiling.

The next 48 hours are a whirlwind, but at the end of it you find yourself at your wedding reception, seated next to your husband. You'd made it here, and now you feel like you can finally draw a breath.

"Wait, so did you guys actually last the entire week without seeing each other?" Kenma suddenly asks skeptically, looking between the two of you. You glance at Tetsurou. Clearly, he hadn't shared the truth with his best man. Your maid of honor opens her mouth beside you, but you nudge her under the table with the sharp toe of your shoe. Since it is your wedding day, she stays silent.

"Sure did," Tetsurou says, grinning broadly as he slides his arm around your shoulders, brushing his fingers against your skin affectionately. "It was worth it," He adds, pressing a kiss to your temple. You lean into the press of his lips. Yes, it certainly was.

"Senpai?" Mash calls out.

"Yeah?" And Ritsuka responds without looking up from her tablet. The report is due in a couple of hours. She'd really like to pass it on time and have time to kill before lunch starts.

Before her kouhai could respond, she already has an inkling as to what Mash was worried right now.

"Senpai, those... creatures hovering around you like a bee swarm... What are they?" There's great confusion in her tone. Totally understandable.

-Considering there's a bunch of flying bean plushies hovering around her and even making her hair and shoulders a place to rest on.

"They seem to resemble... Oberon-san?" Mash was genuinely confused and if Ritsuka could, she'd give her a reassuring pat on the back.

Unfortunately, these Obe-beans would immediately be the first to claim her hand for those 'pats'. As if the original wasn't already possessive.

She sighed. "Sorry, it's kind of a weird encounter. They basically were already on me when I woke up. Don't worry though. I'll find Oberon and give him a good beating."

As she says that, several of the flying beans started assaulting her face by bumping their soft bodies against her. "What the- Hey, quit it. I know you guys were the ones to eat the leftover chocolate I got from the other Servants!"

Mash left shoftly after that, presumably to call for help or find where a certain Pretender was to help her get rid of the creatures crawling around her body.

She really has never known peace. Still, since they were soft and cute (not that she'd admit that out loud and luckily, these didn't have Oberon's Fairy Eyes) she didn't mind their presence at all.

Her hand even started petting one while she was still focused on her report. There were three kinds of Obe-beans hovering around her, each representing his different outfits in all three ascensions.

The first one, the 'Fairy King Obe-beans' seemed content on resting on whatever available surface she had on her body. The same went to the second version and third version..

(And same as the original, some of them really attempted to wriggle inside her clothes, especially trying to get under her bra and underwear. Naturally, Ritsuka forced them out and sternly scolded them. It only worked just for a little bit before doing their attempts again, this time unsuccessful as she made sure they can't sneak in.)

There is one bean plush that had that permanent smirk though. It's part of the third ascension group, just creepily staring at her while it rested beside her laptop.

...The urge to flick this fly away was really strong.

Still, it was the only one that wasn't actively hogging for space on her lap or on her body for that matter.

The other beans were distracted.. so she decides to gently pick it up under her hand before bringing it to her cheek to nuzzle it quietly.

...No matter the version, it really was soft and squishy. She had this urge to bite him from cuteness and maybe... kiss it...

Now that the thought entered her mind, she kind of wanted to try it.

So, with both hands, Ritsuka cups the now-eager dark Obe plush, slowly bringing it to her lips-

She hears something drop from the floor at the entrance of her door.

Time freezes everything in place.

Oberon Vortigern stands dumbstruck with a mix of confusion, jealousy and anger, a bag of chips now scattered on the ground as soon as he saw her and his......creations(??).

"...What the fuck?" was the only thing the bastard could say.

Ritsuka felt a vein pop in her head. Wasn't he the one who summoned these things?

As revenge, she ordered the swarm crowding around her to attack Oberon, which wasn't really an attack but mostly annoying him to death.

Heh, serves him right.

In the end, in addition to the creatures that fought for space on her body, one extremely clingy and giant bug was the one to hog her personal space, but the beans and Oberon himself seemingly growled at each other over it.

Are they really one and the same? This is really going to get annoying...

And where was the insect repellant when she needs it?

okay! may i request a (short) hobie going to his girlfriend who is obsessed with my little pony's house for the first time? her house is pink and she had a fluffy pastel blue welcome mat on her front door and two cute calico cat statues. everything in her house is kawaii and pastel colored with more fluffy furniture and pictures she painted herself. her room is worse. mlp plushies everywhere and posters littered on her walls. and to top it off, a 93cm/35in tall princess celestia plushie sits on the middle of her pink canopy bed (bonus points if she has a cutie mark tattoo :3c)

That was the address you'd given him. As Hobie looked up at the house in front of him, with its bright pink walls and shiny white fence, he was debating whether he should call you and ask for your address again or not. He'd never seen such a...strange-looking house before, but then of course, it suited you.

Pastels and pinks, baby blues and fluffy yellows, those were the colors that you loved the most and those were what Hobie always saw around you whenever you were near him. A bright pink personality, a baby blue smile, a light yellow hug, they were all the colors that made you...well, you.

And he loved you for it.

He just wasn't expecting your home to be so...you.

Right on both sides of the wooden, pink porch were two calico cat statues, peering up at him. He stared at them for a moment, before he approached the fluffy sky-colored welcome mat situated on your doorstep and reached towards the doorbell, pressing it. A soft chiming noise played, like the one a wind-chime would make. He wasn't sure whether he should step on your mat or not, since his big, bulky combat boots would probably dirty it.

"Hi 'bie!" You exclaimed, pulling him into a hug as you opened the door. A smile immediately spread across his face. "Nice to see ya, sunshine." he said softly, kissing the top of your head gently. "Brought ya something. Think you'll like it." from behind his back he pulled out a bouquet of light purple irises, which you accepted, getting up on your tip-toes and giving him a kiss on the cheek as a thank you.

He was even more amused when he entered your house completely. Fluffy furniture, all matching the same colors as the outside of your house, with framed painting all over the walls. "Did you make these?" he asked you with a smile, arm hooked around your waist.

"Yeah...do you like them?" you asked him, having to crane your neck to look right up at him. "They're cute. Like you." he said with a laugh, approaching one of the paintings. He noticed it was slightly crooked and he attempted to move it, but it came falling down. "Shit." he muttered, catching it and trying to put it back on the wall.

"Oh, just leave it. I'll fix it later." You said, taking his hand and pulling him towards your room as he glanced back embarrassedly.

Entering your room was like entering a whole different world. Not an inch of drywall was visible, every square completely covered in posters and shelves. Even the ceiling was littered with glow-in-the-dark stars, with a small chandelier in the middle.

Your bed was fluffy and pink of course, with light yellow pillows and a darker pink canopy. Hobie stared in confusion at the giant plushie centered in the middle of it, staring right back at him. "What is that?" he asked holding it up by its neck. "Put Princess Celestia down!" You said with a laugh, taking it out of his hands and putting it back down on the bed.

Noticing how confused he looked, you started to feel a little awkward. Did he think it was too much?

"Is something wrong?" he asked, noticing your expression fall. "No, no..." you said softly, putting your hands behind your back and looking up at him. "Just, uh, what do you think?"

He chuckled under his breath, a wide smile spreading across his face. "I think you're the most adorable peng I've ever met." he said, hooking his arm around your waist and pulling you towards him. "Although I'm a bit jealous of Princess Celestia here. Seems she's spending more nights with you than I am."

Resting your head against his chest with a smile, you laughed softly, to which he promptly tilted your chin up, giving you the most gentle kiss, as though he was afraid he'd break you. "I might just have to decorate your room next. We can match?" you told him slyly.

His smile faltered before he laughed, hugging you a little tighter. "I'll pass." he said with a chuckle. "I think you're pink enough for the both of us, darling."

YES YOU CAN BE A NATURE GIRL!! Basically there was this youtube trend going around where people were like "Guess this twisted wonderland character's name / unique magic" but a lot of them were having their parents guess and so in one video this person had their mom and dad guess, one half of the cast was for their mom and the other for their dad, when it got to their dad's side he thought they were all girls

Jade is surrounded by mushrooms (She is a big fan of those) so with this knowledge he called her "Nature girl" so thank you to that very confused father because now I see Jade as transfem.

She ran away from octavinelle once because she was being very petty and so was Azul so she goes to pomefiore and tells Vil she's going be his faithful servant from now on. Vil is like.. okay.. interesting. So Vil bosses her around and turns her into an errand girl, after serving Vil for a while she's like. "Vil, I have decided I am going to work with Azul again. I am no longer mad at him. Peace!" AND I COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING THAT IS SO STUPID. SHE TRIED SO HARD TO PROVE HERSELF TO VIL JUST TO GET AWAY FROM AZUL. EVEN GOING THROUGH THE ACT OF TRYING TO CHANGE DORMS, and I can't exactly remember everything Vil asked Jade to do but it was getting to a point where Vil would ask Jade for the simplest of things that Vil was PERFECTLY capable of getting done on her own. Jade did this all with a smile. She is SO SILLY. My friends are very big leech twin enjoyers but one likes Floyd and the other likes Jade so I sat in a call with them while they argued about who was the superior twin. Fun times. ( I love both of them, Floyd was actually the final push I needed to start reading through the whole main story. So thank you for that buddy!!) Fun fact I actually have a Vil plushy.. she is big and I love her. I get into my room and look at her and I tell her how important she is to me. DEAR I AM RAMBLING ON. Scp erased Chapter 3: the boys are back

Summary: It's been awhile since we seen what giovanni and the boys are doing let's see.

Molly…was confused to say the least. One minute she was taking stock of plushies at her family’s toy shop and the next she was sitting on a couch next to Fred and Ben while a butler was playing guitar hero with flamethrower. Mr. Deeds got the high score as flamethrower signs in defeat.

“Aw man! I was so close.” He said as he wiped sweat from his brow “You did quite well master dante.” Mr. Deeds replies giving Flamethrower some water.

“It’s my turn!” Fred said

“No it’s mine!” Ben argues

Hearing her stomach growls she got off the couch and went to the kitchen as Ben and Fred fight for who gets to play against Mr. Deeds. She sees Giovanni and Crusher enjoying some pizza.

“Uh Boss?”

“Huh Oh hey Bear trap, ya hungry?” Giovanni asks Molly who was hesitant at first but her stomach growled as the smell of hot and ready pizza invaded her nose.

She nods as Giovanni gives her the pizza box, she was confused at first till she felt the weight and warmth of the pizza. Opening it reveals a plain cheese pizza making her eyes widen in surprise.

“Pretty cool huh.” Giovanni smirks

Molly takes a slice of the pizza and eats it, the taste was just amazing as she eats more of it. “Giovanni what is-”

“It’s one of my magical bounties, Bear trap.” He said finishing his slice “You’ve met mr. D already.” He points at the butler who was playing with Fred. Finishing her slice she looks at the butler and then Giovanni.

“Wait Magical?!” She said confused

He nods, taking her little hand to his bedroom. Once they were inside he showed her the treasure chest that was on his bed in all its glory.

“Now they may not look as cool at first glance,” he said, opening the chest, “but when used they can bring me to the top of villainy!” He digs in the chest and pulls out a nerf gun.

“Like this!” He holds it up grinning with joy “This baby can nerf stuff, Watch and be Amazed!” He goes to an open window and aims at an unsuspecting ferrari. Once targeted he shoots as the nerf dart flies towards the automobile and hits it, turning the once bright cherry red luxury ride into a dull brick lemon of a minivan.

“Wow boss, that's pretty impressive.”

“I know right? That’s not all!” He puts the gun away and shows her a dartboard, an old key, and some pictures.

The pictures include Fred driving a luxury car, Flamethrower on a white sandy beach, Spike playing in a rock band as lead guitarist, Crusher with Giovanni having a romantic dinner, and Ben eating a giant cheeseburger.

“Anyway we’re gonna do some crimes with this stuff, wanna join?” he asks her

Molly was worried, not about the crimes but for Giovanni’s safety.

“I don’t know boss…I still have work to do and-”

“Say no more, I can just get mr. deeds to do your job for you.” He said going into the closet to fish out something. “Just ring the bell and he’ll do the job.”

She was conflicted about Giovanni's idea, on one side she can take a well deserved break from the toy shop but on the other side she didn’t want to burden the butler with her problems. He pulls out a child sized banzai blaster outfit heavily modified with bear ears on the helmet. “Bingo” he gave Molly the costume

“You can change in the bathroom. If you need me I'll be in the living room telling the rest of my boys my brilliant plan!”

She looked at the costume amazed by the handy work, “Uhhh ok boss.” She said going to the bathroom to change.

A couple of minutes later Molly writes a small list of errands she needed to do, Giovanni was putting the last stuff in the trunk before calling out to her.

“Beartrap you ready yet?”

“Almost Boss.”

She looks at the list one last time before she rings the silver bell, Mr. Deed appears in front of her. Before he could speak she gave him the list.

“These are things that need to be done, Please and thank you.” she said politely

“Very well Miss Blyndeff.”

She went to Giovanni and the boys as they headed off to do some crime. As Fred was driving his friends to their target Molly looked at the map with slight confusion.

Something I've been thinking about since you dropped the characters height chart, how do you think the brothers (and side characters if you want) would react if Ik magically turned in to a younger kid( i am also weak for this trope) Like 4 or 5 years old, can you imagine their reaction that their little human friend is even littler.

anon i think you may be reading my mind because this is EXACTLY the setup i have planned for a future post-jtta bonus oneshot

but!! just because i also love this trope so much, i'll do some notes on a hypothetical version of this trope without the childhood trauma that's going to come up in the actual bonus ^^

right so first we'll lay out a few guidelines for this whole situation:

ik is the size of a five year old and basically has the mindset and emotional maturity of one, BUT she isn't the same way she was when SHE was five years old

so it's like a five year old ik who still has the emotional growth of our regular ik

(this is all post jtta by the way)

thus, she actually acts like a silly kid who just wants to have fun and is very affectionate with the people she loves (i.e. her demon family), and not like a really old world-weary woman in a child's body

and let's say the child situation lasts for about two and a half weeks

okay so! reactions!!

i'll just do the brothers for now but i might do the side characters in future ^^

okay so first things first mammon is losing his mind

he's just such a STAR of a big brother this entire time. he denies it but he absolutely is, he just cares so much about this tiny human under his wing

he disappears into town for a few hours and comes back with a bunch of toys and stuff

and he WILL sit there and play make-believe with ik and all their new plushies (+alatus) for as long as she wants to

he gets her this giant dragon plush that she can sit on and pretend to fly on, and he's perfectly happy to pretend to be a civilian in need of rescue from the hero on the dragon

(ik falls asleep on it at one point and falls off and mammon moves at like 999999mph to catch her before she lands on the floor)

and then first time mammon picks ik up he's just like [heart attack] HRNG

she's clinging to his sleeve to make sure she doesn't slip and he just. JDHKJHJH HER HAND'S SO TINY HE'S GONNA CRY

that settles it he's protecting this child with his life and if anything happens he's going to blow up the entire devildom

(not like he wasn't already like that lmao)

beel, meanwhile, is kinda scared of accidentally crushing ik, but his big brother instincts outweigh the elephant-scared-of-mice instincts, so instead he just makes sure he exercises extra caution around her

he spends a lot of time fussing about how little ik's eating and constantly piling snacks on her, which she can barely finish because five-year-olds don't exactly have much room for food

ik isn't scared of beel at all because she knows she's safe with him, even if he's worried she's not - even though he's GIANT, he's shaped like a friend :)

every now and then she creeps up on him and just starts clinging to his leg, and beel doesn't notice half the time because she's so light

he'll be walking along and hear some quiet giggling close by, then look down and realise that he's been unwittingly dragging ik around the house for the last few minutes

usually he just goes to pick her up when he notices this, and he'll just stand there and let ik scramble about on his shoulders/arms/head like some kind of jungle gym

five-year-old ik also has a lot more energy, but it comes in very short bursts

one minute she's vibrating at a frequency that could shatter glass, the next she's out like a light

ik usually uses the bursts of energy to, like, hyper focus on this one thing and get really really into it - but then after she gets tired and takes a nap or something, she'll be totally disinterested once she's up again

for example:

she comes into levi's room while he's gaming, so he puts in one of those cutesy cartoon games for them to play

it's got two sets of controls: the parent controls, and the kid controls

(he doesn't even know why he has this game, he just does)

so levi takes the parental controls and teaches ik the ropes

it's just a bunch of really simple puzzles, but ik LOVES IT

she's getting so excited over all the bright colours and funny sounds that she's just silently bouncing about like a little basketball

levi puts up with it because it's kinda cute and also ik doesn't even seem to notice she's doing it, so he'd feel bad for trying to get her to stop

eventually she just kind of. goes quiet. and then announces that she's done playing

levi is a bit more disappointed than he'd like to admit, but he just shrugs and switches back to the game he was playing before

ik watches him for a bit, then wanders off

she barely makes it twenty steps out of levi's room before she just gets too tired to keep going, so she curls up right there in the hallway and goes straight to sleep

belphie nearly trips over her on his way back from the bathroom, and like there's no way he's just gonna leave her there

so he takes her down to the common room, where he swaddles her in a blanket like a burrito and then settles down nearby to take a nice nap of his own

at some point during ik's nap, she wakes up, sees belphie, and decides to drag herself over and go back to sleep on his back (because he's sleeping face-first on the couch)

belphie barely even stirs, but subconsciously he must have noticed it because he doesn't toss or turn nearly as much as he usually does when he naps - so that ik doesn't get tossed off his back

beel comes in, takes in this scene, and dies on the spot because it's the cutest thing he's ever SEEN

(he takes a picture and it ends up being his D.D.D. lock screen for the foreseeable future)

after this little incident, belphie starts hanging about with an extra blanket and pillow for when ik falls asleep - because she consistently does so nearly time she uses up her little burst of manic child energy

and somehow belphie can kinda ~feel it~ whenever she conks out

speaking of ~feeling it~, lucifer ends up developing one heck of a 'THE CHILD IS IN DANGER' sense

he'll suddenly get this ominous feeling in the middle of the paperwork, and rush from his office to the kitchen just in time to stop ik from burning herself while attempting to use the kettle

oh and if you thought lucifer was a dad before, you ain't seen NOTHING yet

he makes ik sandwiches and instinctively cuts off the crusts every time, even though ik's fine with eating them

he puts her to bed at eight o clock sharp and WILL read her a bedtime story if she even implies she'd like one

he starts doing that thing where he walks into a room where a movie is on, and just stands there with his hands on his hips, watching in silence for a good half an hour

satan notices all of this and thinks it's hilarious, but also very valid

he's another one that'll read to ik, especially while she's coming down from an energy high and getting tired again

if he reads for long enough she'll like sleepily crawl into his lap, then slowly doze off there

and he just goes [nuclear explosion] on the inside bc HFKDJHGKSDJHG

(she does this at least once with each of the other brothers as well, and they all have similar internal reactions)

ik also does that child thing where she starts asking increasingly nonsensical questions

like "would a polar bear or a rhino win in a fight?" "can cows swim?" "why do you only have two legs? wouldn't three be better?"

and satan takes all of these questions extremely seriously

he gets out a whiteboard and starts drawing spider diagrams and everything

ik gets bored of this quickly, though, so soon enough he starts just doodling a whole ass cartoon strip and telling ik this little story about a cat who goes on adventure and she loves every minute of it

she keeps giving suggestions like "make him make friends with the monster!!" or "make him fly!" or "give him a REALLY REALLY big hat" and satan complies with every single one

even after all this is over everyone collectively decides never to erase this whiteboard, they just leave it hanging up in the common room. satan even signs it

okay that's enough about satan, let's talk about asmo

he's literally in TEARS over how teeny ik is

she comes up to him and asks him to paint her nails - very politely in that earnest kid kind of way - and asmo just about passes away on the spot

of course he agrees, and then ik holds out her hand for it to be painted and asmo just stares at it and how SMALL it is compared to his hand for like two minutes straight. he's about to cry hold on hold on hold o

at some point after this he's like WHOO YEAH TIME TO PLAY DRESS UP

so he gets so much cute little stuff for ik to try on, and for a bit he's having so much fun doing her hair and stuff to go with each outfit

but then he notices that ik herself doesn't seem to be having a great time

she looks really uncomfy in some of the outfits, actually....

at this point asmo realises that ik's having hella sensory issues with how a good deal of the outfits feel - like itchy lace, seams that kind of dig into her skin, too many things at once that make her overheat, etc.

y'know that little strip of fabric in the toe of the sock and how sometimes when you feel it it just makes you go EUGH NO. it's like that for ik but constant with nearly all of the stuff asmo's been putting her in

she's just been silent about it because she didn't want to upset him by throwing a tantrum or something

when he figures this out asmo's just like BBY NO NEVER LET ME PUT YOU IN CLOTHES YOU AREN'T COMFY IN

from then onwards he's very picky about what, if any, new outfits he gets ik to put on

she seems happiest and most comfy in a wide range of cosy onesies, but she's also fine with wearing something like this:

⮞ lunya, whitherliliesbloom's illya and mintdrop's mint. 744 words. ⮞ non-specific modern au. ⮞ three white-haired lalafells walk into an arcade. only two walk out because one of them got stuck in a claw machine.

crane (game): a claw machine is a vending machine which operates like an arcade game, introducing a note of challenge into the endeavor.

It'd been a very successful day, Lunya decided, slamming the trunk of G'raha's car down over the fruits of their shopping spree and giving Mint a high five. Her boyfriend was still trapped by the thrall of the book store, but she'd snagged the keys from him so they could drop off their bags. Illya still looked like she might faint over all the clothes they insisted on piling on the poor girl, but she would get over it with a well-timed double team pout-puppy eyes combo.

And now it was time for the best part of their monthly shopping trip. The arcade.

For half an hour, Lunya churned out prize tickets from her favourite games—she had beef with a giant Pikachu plushie they had in the prize exchange and this would finally be the month she got it, damn it. She was taking a break with a not-very-relaxing game of DDR when a small, familiar ummm sounded behind her.

"Need something, Liya?" Lunya asked Illya as she danced, eyes trained on the flashing arrows on the screen.

Illya pointed at the long line of crane machines behind them. "W-we might have a problem, Lunya…"

Lunya turned around.

"Totomi Tomi," she gasped, absolutely apoplectic. In the background, her game went forgotten, the DDR machine jeering miss! Miss! Miss! "Only toddlers get stuck in claw machines."

Amid her sea of Vocaloid plushies that probably weren't officially licensed, Mint's gasp was muffled by the wall of glass between them. She raised an offended hand to her heart. "I'm not stuck. I can get out of here whenever I want!"

Lunya scoffed, whipping out her phone as she and Illya walked over. "Yeah?" she demanded over the snap of her camera. "Then prove it."

The older girl turned away, tapping her pointer fingers together with a pout.

"Well, It's not my fault they designed the prize door to only open one way," she whined, wiggling helplessly in the plushie ocean. "It's such a safety hazard. What if a kid got stuck, or, like, a full grown woman with an idol career wanted to go inside for a funny pic to get clout on social media and didn't think the whole thing throooough?"

"Wow, that's oddly specific," Lunya said intensely. "So, how's the clout farm going, Peppermint?"

Mint giggled, holding her phone to the glass of the crane machine. Her last tweet boldly read I ACTUALLYGOT STUCK SOMEOBWNE ELLHPE??? and had already amassed a couple hundred likes and some replies varying between "mint what's wrong with you" and "omg get well soon queen" and "NEW TIKTOK CHALLENGE JUST DROPPED BABES #PEPPERMINTISSTUCKPARTY".

"I'll… I'll, um, call 911..." Illya said, looking at her own phone which certainly wasn't open to her friend group's Linkcord server. "And maybe find an employee, just in case they have a key." She paced over to the next row of crane games, phone to her ear as she went.

With a roll of her eyes, Lunya tapped on the glass of the machine Mint was in. "This is the second time I've had to do this this year, but at least my cousin had the excuse of being two. How're you gonna tell the firefighters you're twenty-eight?"

"Hey, hey, don't tap on the glass, you'll scare the fish. Me. You'll scare me AAAAAAAA—" Mint recoiled into the plushies with an overdramatic wail as Lunya slammed her palm on the glass. "Wait, you don't think it's actually illegal to get trapped in a claw machine, right?"

Huh. Good question. In the very likely event that whoever was working the prize counter didn't have the key for the machine, would having to get third party dismantlement for someone who wasn't a toddler be considered property damage?

"I'll pay your bail," Lunya promised, because she did love Mint and wasn't sure she could rock an orange jumpsuit.

"Oh, thank you! Anyway, while I'm here," Mint mused, holding a Hatsune Miku plushie over the drop chute contemplatively. Lunya hummed with a nod of approval. If they were going to get in trouble anyway they might as well tell capitalism to shove it.

Coming back around the corner with a very confused G'raha who'd finally come looking for them and some poor employee who probably didn't have any protocol for dealing with grown women trapped in a UFO catcher, Illya sighed. "Stealing is wrong, you two."

"Awwww," Lunya and Mint chimed in unison, and Mint put the plushie back down.

I had been so excited for this day! In the human realm, my hometown this time of year had a huge festival ending with a huge firework show. I had asked to go a week in advance but due to being in the Devildom for the exchange program, I couldn't go. It definitely was a disappointment. However Diavolo, seeing me upset and now curious about the tradition, asked all about it and he thought it sounded fun. Thanks to him always wanting to do anything new, he immediately decided to do the same here in the Devildom.

So through the long week, he asked about everything we would do at the event to make it much more fun and quickly get everything ready to make this last second festival. It somehow all came together and it feels almost exactly like the festival from the human realm. The food, sweets and all! Now it was the time to enjoy the festival!

The brothers couldn't understand why I was so excited for this. Though we all went to festivals and saw fireworks, It was just something that I would always look forward to this time of the year and it's just more special this time around. It kinda feels as if I'm sharing something that I love with everyone I care about in a place where I like to call my new home. Hopefully they'll come to enjoy this as much as I do.

"So, this is called an Elephant ear?“ Beel asked, drooling at the large fried sweet in front of him.

I laugh, as I grab a piece before he can scarf the treat whole, "Yeah, it's just fried dough with powdered sugar on it. They usually sell these at any carnival or festival." I pop the elephant ear in my mouth, savoring the amazing taste.

The brothers each had something to eat as we took a break from all the festival games littered around. We all take two picnic benches for the 8 of us, well, us and Beel's giant pile of food he got. Everyone had won something from the games…well everyone but me and Mammon. Mammon was determined to win a game, yet his luck seemed to be the worse for wear today and all the games we'd gone to all ended up with one of the other brothers winning the game. My luck honestly wasn't any better due to playing the same games that the others had won.

"I'm telling ya! Those games are rigged! The people runnin 'em are just a bunch of con artists!“ Mammon yells, clearly frustrated that he hasn't gotten anything.

"Or maybe you just suck lol" Levi says, holding a Ruri-chan plush to his chest.

"Honestly, you really shouldn't be surprised, you were pretty terrible at all those games since you had no choice but to play fair." Satan adds on, which all the brothers nod in agreement.

Asmo laughs, "Well, what do you expect from a scumbag?"

I start to get annoyed as the brothers all start to bash on Mammon. He seems fine on the surface but I've been around him long enough, with him basically living in my room and all, to see all his little ticks. Like when he's excited, his hand gestures are more dramatic, to emphasize his point or how his eyes light up when something catches his attention, like something to make a quick buck. However, right now, with the way his mouth slightly twitches and his hand shoved into his pockets, he's upset. He really only does this when the brothers throw insult after insult at him, like right now.

I sigh as they continue their assault on him. But an idea comes to mind and it'll be easy enough to pull off.

"Does...that all that stuff apply to me too? Since I didn't win anything either, after all..." I say, putting on my best pouting face and looking down at the ground.

Immediately, the brothers started to panic, trying to reassure me that it wasn't true, successfully drawing their attention away from Mammon. I slightly looked up, passed the frantic brothers to lock eyes with Mammon. He stood there for a moment, a bit confused by my sudden comment. I flash him a quick smirk before looking up at the brothers, accepting their apologies. The brothers seemed to relax and drop the topic after that, returning to the food they have. Mammon, who had seemingly understood what my intentions really were, looked at me, with his face slightly flushed, then stared down at his food.

In Mammon's mind, he honestly doesn't know what force sent Y/N here but, she is honestly the best thing that has ever happened to him. At first, he hated the idea of being her guardian due to all of the extra work he was given. But, as days turned to weeks, her treatment towards him was nothing but sweet and loving. It honestly was a huge adjustment for him, since everyone treated him like scum or useless, having her place so much faith in him, even defending him and doing little gestures like this, it makes his head spin. He honestly couldn't pinpoint when it happened, but, his feelings for her drastically changed, he couldn't deny it now, how he longed for her, wanted her all to himself. How he loved her unconditionally.

I smile, quickly finish eating my food then stand up, "Ok! Time to get back to the games!“ I say, excitedly.

"Y/N, I'm glad you are excited but some of us still need to eat." Lucifer says, glancing at Beel and his mountain of food.

"Awww, come on Lucifer, I wanna try to win something before the fireworks start." I plop down again, putting my chin in my hands.

"Well, I'm sure we'll have plenty of time." Lucifer tries to cheer me up, eating some fries.

Mammon looks up at Y/N, upon seeing her upset. He honestly hated seeing Y/N upset, even if for something so small as to wait for everyone to finish eating. He wanted nothing more than to see her smile everyday, it honestly was one of his favorite parts of the day to see her smile so sweetly. He'll do anything to make her happy. He sits up and scarfs down his food before standing up. "Ok, how 'bout this,' ' Mammon gets up and walks over to me, ' ' since I haven't won anythin', I'm gonna go play some more games and I'll meet ya guys later. Y/N, ya can come if ya want to." Mammon starts to walk away, at a slower pace than he usually would.

"Yeah! Ok!" Before any of the other brothers could protest, I quickly got up and hurried over to Mammon. I can hear the brothers stumbling to get up to follow us.

"Hey! Mammon is stealing Y/N!"

"That's not fair!“

"That scumbag..."

I hear some of the things they're saying as they seem to be trying to catch up.

I grab Mammon's hand and start to make a run for it. "Come on!" I glanced back at Mammon, who seemed shocked. He looks back to see the brothers in hot pursuit of us. Getting the hint, Mammon picks up the pace. We high tail it out of there, laughing like a bunch of kids all the while.

Me and Mammon finally stop and I flop on the floor, trying to catch my breath as Mammon puts his hands on his knees.

"I…I think we lost 'em" Mammon pants, out of breath from running around.

"I…I think so…jeez, how…how do you always do this when you get in trouble?“ I wheeze out, my human body not used to running as much as a demon. Especially if that demon is Mammon.

Mammon straightens up, finally catching his breath, "Well, I'm not usually running from ALL of my brothers, just Lucifer mostly."

Mammon reaches his hand to me and after a moment, I let him help me up. He helps me to my feet and when I look up, his face is very close to mine. We stare at each other for a moment before both of our faces turn more flushed than we already were.

His bright blue eyes that have a hint of that golden yellow has me in a trance. When I first met Mammon, it was the first thing that drew my attention, it's honestly something that I always find myself staring at all of the time. They are very beautiful to me and never fail to make me feel relaxed when I see them. But not only that, he is a very handsome man. His rich caramel skin with his pure white hair makes his face stand out even more. He is just so captivating to look at, however his personality is what truly makes him shine. Even if he tries, and fails, to hide his true feelings, he always has his heart on his sleeve, rather if he realizes that or not. He tries so hard to help me or to even make my day brighter when I'm not feeling my best. He even tries to protect his brothers and is always there for them. He honestly is the most caring person I've ever met and I can't help but fall for him because of that.

Mammon looked down at her face, he honestly couldn't help but stare. In his mind, she was more beautiful than anyone he's ever seen. Her beauty not only stopped at her looks but the person she was. She was a true wonder to him, too good to be true yet, here she was, defying all logic. All he wanted to do was look at every detail of her face, her eyes as they shine, her soft skin as the blush covers her face, her parted lips as her breath finally slows down. Mammon was the first to turn away, catching himself now staring at nothing but her lips.

He clears his throat. "W-Well since we're here, let's get to some games!" Mammon says, his fangs flash with his grin.

We made our way to the nearest game booth, both of us looking at the various prizes. The booth in question is a simple ring toss, the bottles are organized by colors which show what size prize you can get. There are the ridiculously large stuffed bears that are taller than me to the very small animal plushies. Scanning all the prizes, one catches my attention, a black plush crow with a yellow tag on it. It was big enough to hold in your arms, it's wings dangled at its sides. It had its beak opened slightly to look like a smile. I glance over at Mammon, who is currently eyeing a plushie of a grimm, that also has a yellow tag hanging off of it. I laugh, thinking of how that plush crow reminded me of him.

Mammon looks at me, slightly confused, "What are ya laughing at?"

"Oh nothing, though I know what prize I want." I smile, looking back at the crow plush.

Mammon follows my eyes over to the plush, he tilts his head at my choice, "Ya sure that's what ya want? There are plenty of things better than that ol' crow."

I nod enthusiastically, "Yeah, I think it's cute, like someone else I know." I playfully push him.

His ears turn a dark red but he laughs, "Well, I know what I want so, let's go and win some prizes!“

We pay the demon running the game and start trying to make the rings reach its mark. However, as in most carnaval games, the rings in question are only slightly bigger than the top of the bottles, making it much harder to win. Not to mention the bottles for the better prizes are further back, making it much harder. As we try a couple times, we don't get much luck and we're running out of grimms to play. However as we reach our last game, even though I end up with nothing, Mammon manages to sink a ring on a yellow bottle.

"We have a winner!“ the demon behind the booth says, walking over to grab the ring.

"Yeah! This was nothin' for the Great Mammon!" Mammon threw his hands in the air, and I cheered with him, "You did it! You won!“

The demon walks back over to us, "Alrighty, you can pick a prize with a yellow tag. Which will it be?"

Mammon's eyes flick to the plush he was eyeing earlier and he goes to speak, but an announcement rings through the speakers all around the festival, "The firework show will be starting in 15 minutes, marking the end of the festival! So hurry and grab a seat to enjoy the show!“ a cheery voice says before the music from before starts to play again. Mammon looks down at me for a moment before a small smile appears on his face.

Mammon looks at the demon and points at the plush crow, "I'll take that one."

I look up at Mammon, "But, I thought you wanted-“ I get cut off by the demon swift return, "Here you go." The demon hands him the crow plush.

Mammon takes the plush from the demon with his usual bright smile and starts walking off, I quickly follow, still confused. Once I catch up, he looks at me with a blush on his face and holds out the crow to me.

"W-well, there wasn't really anythin' I wanted, so I figured I'd get this ol' crow since ya seemed to want it so bad." He says with his usual bravado, yet it was a bit more shy than normal.

"But, you said…" I start to say as I take the plush but, cut my thought short.

Even though I know he wanted something, that much he's been saying all day, he still got me this crow plush. Knowing how he struggles to do these things and becoming a stuttering mess when it's pointed out, I choose to not question him. Yet, I can't help but love him even more, him knowing that I wanted something as well and that he'll be going back home later with nothing. I'll have to repay him later but for now, I'll just enjoy the rest of the festival with him.

I shake my head and give him a smile, one that shows how much I truly appreciate and love him, "Thank you so much, Mammon." I hold the crow close to myself.

Mammon feels all the air in his lungs escape him. Y/N's smile, the sparkle of joy and something more…intimate in her eyes. Honestly, for a split second, he found himself jealous of that crow, seeing Y/N holding it so lovingly. He wanted, no, needed to show her how much he loves her. If not tonight, it'll drive him insane.

After looking a bit, me and Mammon found a perfect spot to watch the fireworks. We sat on a hill that was a bit further away from the festival and luckily, we could still hear the music playing from one of the speakers nearby. We sat in a comfortable silence, waiting for the fireworks to begin. Which based on the amount of time it took to find this isolated spot, it should start at any moment.

Mammon is resting his arms on his knees as I sit with my legs crossed, the plush crow close to my chest. I watch all the demons in the distance hurrying to find a spot to watch the show as well. Thankfully, none of them seem to look in this direction. So right now, it's just us, alone.

After a few moments, Mammon looks over at me and shyly starts to speak, "H-hey, Y/N?"

I look back at Mammon, noticing his face slowly forming a blush, "Yes?"

"I…I wanted to tell ya-" Mammon gets cut off by the first firework going off.

We slightly jump, but my eyes widen as the firework show starts, "It's starting!"

I watch as the firework starts to make the usual dark Devildom sky shine bright with many different colors. All the while, a familiar song starts to play on the speakers, making this a moment that I want to treasure always. It was a song from the human realm and it was a song that made this moment feel more intimate. I honestly couldn't ask for a better day, I got to go to the festival with all my favorite people and I even had, dare I say it, a wonderful date with Mammon. The thought of going on a date with Mammon makes my cheeks burn but I truly wish that this day would never end.

Mammon's heart starts to pound in his chest, his gaze never leaving Y/N. He watches as her eyes glow with wonder, watching the fireworks as if it were the first time. She never looked more beautiful, more perfect than right now. If he was ever gonna make his move, it had to be now. Mammon opened his mouth to speak but he couldn't find it in himself to break her trance. However, his greed for her attention, her voice, her touch, for nothing but her, was growing. So, he closes his mouth and takes a deep breath. He leans closer to her as his shaky hand gently touches her cheek to turn her face towards him.

When I suddenly feel a light touch on my face, I snap back to reality. Before I can react, I feel my face being turned and suddenly, Mammon leans in, his eyes close and gently presses his lips on mine, like he's afraid that I'll break. My eyes widen, taking a moment to realize what is happening. Mammon, feeling me not move, starts to move away, most likely worried he did something wrong. But, not wanting to lose the moment, I quickly filled in the space he left, pressing my lips a bit harder than he did. Mammon tenses at my sudden movement but quickly melts into the kiss, holding my face with his hands. I place the plush to the side, momentarily forgotten, I place my hands on his chest for support.

The air stills, the world around us starts to disappear. The only thing to keep us from forgetting the world completely is the sound of fireworks and the song playing so sweetly.

I snake my arms around Mammon's neck, then he takes the chance to pull me in closer by my waist, closing the gap between us. Even though he was nervous at first, he seems to have relaxed, even nips at my bottom lip, causing me to gasp. He swiftly slips his tongue in my mouth, tangling it with mine, deepening the kiss. We held each other close, like we were afraid that the other would vanish.

Needing to breathe, we lean away slightly. I'm not sure when it happened, but I managed to end up on Mammon's lap. Mammon seems to also realize the position we're in and his breath hitches.

His hand comes up and holds my face, "I love ya, Y/N."

My heart flutters and I lean into his touch, "I love you too, Mammon. I…I always have."

"Y/N, I care about ya so much and I…I don't want anyone else trying to steal my most precious treasure from me. The thought of it kills me, because I'm yer first man." Mammon stops, becoming more shy, "I w-want ya to be mine and…I'll be yers…if ya want me."

I feel as though all of the butterflies in my stomach would explode out of me. I can't stop the big smile that appears on my face, "Mammon," I hold his face in my hands, "no one could ever take me away. And not only that but…" I bite my lip, feeling a bit bashful, "You already have me. Now and forever."

If Mammon could, his eyes would have hearts in them. He looked at me with such lovestruck eyes, his face is probably the most peaceful expression I've ever seen. I look back at him in awe, honestly have never seen him so happy, like he's on cloud nine.

A smile is plastered on his face, "I promise that I will be with ya till the end of time. I gotta be the luckiest demon in the whole festival, no, the Devildom. But, I guess I did win something at the festival after all." His smile suddenly turns into a smirk, "What do ya say we go somewhere more private and we can continue…this?"

My face turns red, but I nod. We stand up, I grab my plushie so that we can leave when I suddenly hear someone, or rather, some people, running this way.

"MAMMON!"

We spin around, both of us knowing too well who that voice belongs to. Lucifer and the rest of the brothers are running at full sprint in our direction.

"Oh shit!" Mammon yells out, quickly sweeping me off my feet, making a run for it.

Startled, I grabbed on to Mammon's jacket, making sure to not drop my crow plush, "Ah! M-Mammon!“

He looks down at me, " Well, I might get strung up later, but I'm yer man now. I want ya all to myself and I don't know about ya, but I'm not ready for tonight to end." He flashes his signature smile.

I can't help but laugh, as we make yet another escape from the brothers. This is truly the best day I could have asked for.

She took the pack of UNO cards and before handing out cards, shuffled them up until no one could know which card was which. Everyone was then handed 7 cards, while everyone was busy organizing their cards and planning out their strategies, she picked up a card from the pile.

"Yellow, nine!"

"CLOCK-WISE!"

Lorel yelled back all smug looking, to the left of Virtual sat Lorel with her cards, her legs crossed sitting like a queen would. To the right of her was Nobody who bursted out laughing at Andrew as he pouted with his arms crossed. "No fair!" Said Ava, who sat next to Andrew while Slime nodded beside her. "Don't worry buddy-" Virtual whispered as she counted, starting from Lorel:

Ava giggled and played a double 2, green and yellow before Slime who placed down a yellow five. It was now Shandy's turn, she looked Mori with a smirk on her face as she raise up a plus 2 for him to see, "Don't you DARE!" Mori gasped as she placed it down. Mori flipped her off as he drew two cards from the deck, the turn was now given to Blossom. "Hey PP, would you like a 2 or a 4?" Blossom said innocently, PP seeing as they had both a two and a four, "Any!" They said happily with a smile before it faded away as Blossom puts down a pair of double plus 2 cards, green and yellow. Everyone else gasped as Blossom laughed ominously, they've been hanging around Mori too much it seems. "But the r-"

"No one said we couldn't play a double plus in one turn!" Blossom cut them off immediately.

PP hesitatingly took four cards from the deck as they cried inside while Mori looked at Blossom impressed, who knew they could also be so evil?

As they had no other cards they could use, nobody placed down a green plus 2 onto the pile. Lorel stared them right in the eye as she picked up two cards from the deck, "I'll have my revenge just you wait!" She said as she sat back down with her arms crossed. Virtual sighed happily as they said-

“UNO!" Before placing down a triple eight, green, blue and red.

"What!?" Andrew said as he stared at his cool buddy while she hummed a song. He placed down a double two, red and blue before passing the turn off to Ava who quickly placed down a plus 4.

"N-No hesitant at all?" Slime said weakly as they looked at their friend, "No~" Ava replied.

Slime immediately smashed their head down onto their poor cards as Andrew took four cards from the deck and passed it onto the passed out Slime, "Yellow!". Shandy placed down double ones, yellow and green. Mori replied with a pair of double eights, green and red before Blossom then placed down a blue eight. "Phew!" Said PP as they placed down quarduple sevens, blue, green and two reds. Nobody placed down a yellow seven happily, Lorel peeked over Virtual's shoulder before placing down a plus 4.

"Oh no! I'm so sorry I TOTALLY didn't have any other card I could've played!"

"Lorel that's cheating!" Launch said from behind her, "You do have a card you can play! And she wouldn't win anyways!"

"Hey wait you're right! Oops sorry Virtual~"

Lorel took back her plus 4 and replaced it with a yellow skip. "You cheater!" She whined as her turn was skipped to Andrew, he comforted his cool buddy but laughed evilly inside, she'd skipped him too remember? He looked back at his cards and smirked, "Oh Ava~ Oh Slime~ Do you have any cards you can play?" Slime woke up from their smol coma.

"A lot!" They said in unison

"Whoops-" He said as he placed down a pair of skips, blue and green.

A sudden realization hit him, "Uh-"

"Uno? Too late!" Slime yelled out while laughing, "NoooooOOOOOO!" Andrew yelled in defeat, karma went back to get him real quick as he went to pick up two new cards from the deck. Ava and Slime laughed together while Shandy grumbled to herself as she reached out to grab a card from the deck. A sudden an idea hit Mori, he snapped his fingers behind his back as he summoned a 'WB' or otherwise known as 'Writer's block' right behind Virtual. "WATCH OUT!" Blossom yelled as Lorel turned to whack WB in the face with her wings, knocking it fifty feet away from them. "You alright?" Virtual was dumbfounded, what just happened? She thought as she looked at the hole in her hide out's wall. This, while everyone was distracted, gave Mori enough time to switch three of his cards with Slime, PP and Shandy. He switch a blue three for Shandy's blue reverse, blue nine for PP's blue skip and blue two for Slime's plus 2 with an additional of putting his blue one back into the shuffled deck.

They finally settled down and Mori placed down PP's blue skip which he stole, "Sorry Blossom." He whispered quietly to them, "No worries!" They replied as they smiled at their friend. PP looked at their cards and reached out to where her blue skip was to only find out a blue nine replaced it, 'Wait I thought I had a blue skip!?' They thought but shrugged it off, it's probably just their imagination as they placed down the nine already in their hand. Nobody the placed down their green nine, "Phew-" Lorel said as she placed down double nines, green and red. Virtual sighed as she picked up a card from the deck before passing the turn to her cool buddy Andrew. Andrew smiled and placed down double ones, red and yellow before yelling out "UNO!" really fast yet you could still hear the excitement in his voice.

Ava glanced over to Slime before deciding to place down her yellow seven instead of her yellow plus 2, let's just cut Slime some slack and let them play shall we? Slime squeaked excitingly before placing down one of their plus 4 and looked happily over to Shandy as they clapped their hands cutely while Shandy picked up four new cards from the deck sadly. Mori laughed as and happily placed down a yellow five onto the pile. Blossom let out a sigh and put down their 'Choose color' card, "Red..." They said as PP placed down their red four happily. Nobody groaned as they went to pick up a card from the perfectly shuffled deck while Lorel smirks as she placed down a red reverse.

"WHAT!? Are you kidding meeeeee!' Nobody whined as they went to pick up another card whole Lorel stuck her tongue out all smug at them while Virtual bonked her on the head.

PP happily placed down her red one before it turned over to Blossom, they then placed down a green reverse. "... no u" Said PP as they smacked Blossom in the face gently with another green reverse before placing it down also. Blossom groaned and picked up a card from the deck while Mori shrugged, "No complaints." They said as they set down a blue reverse onto the pile. "THANK YOU MORI I APPRECIATE THAT A LOT!!" Blossom said frustratingly as they picked up yet another card while Mori snickered quietly, it was funny to him when Blossom gets impatient. PP placed down a 'choose color' card, "Eh-"

Nobody whispered "Red~"

"Red? Sure thing then, red!"

"YES!" Nobody said as they slam down their red plus 2 onto the pile as they looked up with a smirk towards Lorel as she grumbled while she picked up two cards from the deck. Virtual sighed impatiently as she picked up another card from the deck while Andrew happily placed down their LAST DOUBLE GREEN AND BLUE THREE CARDS!?!?

"I WIN!!!" Andrew screamed as everyone clapped while groaning except for Slime who was now conveniently unconscious again, you see there was a catch to this Uno game as well.

Everyone had a special request IF they win first place and Andrew's request was that someone would have to buy him a giant Nightmare plushie. That 'someone' was Ava and Slime.

"Let's just continue, we'll get you your prize later buddy!" Virtual said while clapping their hands to get everyone's attention. Andrew sat back down, happily eating some chips while Ava sighed and placed down double fours, green and yellow, onto Andrew's winning cards. Virtual tapped Slime's head to wake them up, Slime looked at their cards and picked out a yellow eight then placed it down, Shandy followed in by placing down quarduple threes, blue, yellow, red and another blue. Mori decided to spare Blossom of his plus 2 and passed a blue five onto the pile instead. Blossom breathed in as they picked out another card from the deck and so did PP AND apparently so did Nobody! That chain of pain gave Lorel a happy feeling as she placed down a blue zero, Virtual smiled as she placed down a blue one. Ava with no hesitation, picked up a card from the deck before Slime placed slid a blue five onto the pile. Shandy played a pair of ones, blue and green, Mori frowned as they picked up a card from the shuffled deck but it faded as he as able to play the green six he'd gotten. Blossom squealed happily as they now get to play their yellow six! PP snickered, "Hey Nobody, what's your favorite thing to do outside?"

"Oh I like-"

"I really like skipping!" PP interrupted them as they placed down a yellow skip, Nobody was left speechless as the turn went on to Lorel.

Lorel was about to place down a plus 4 but noticed that she had another card and placed down a 'choose color' card instead, "Red," She smirked.

"Lucky~" She whispered to Virtual. She laughed nervously as she placed down her red four card onto the pile. "Uno!" Virtual said quickly while sweating. Ava glanced at her before picking up a card from the deck, Slime placed down their yellow four. "It's a fortune! (Four chain - Lmfao I'm sorry)" Shandy said while placing down her blue four, "Uno then." Said Mori as he placed down his plus 2, "Sorry Blossom~". Blossom sighed but picked up the two cards anyways, PP also had to pick up one from the shuffled deck and again the chain began as Nobody also picked up a card. "Ah I don't have a card! Whatever shall I do!?" Lorel said in a dramatic voice while she picked up her plus 4 and played it. "Red!"

"You-!" Lorel slapped a hand on Virtual's mouth, picking up four cards and handed it to her. "Shhhhh it's okay~"

Ava snickered and placed down her yellow plus 2 before bursting out laughing, "Here comes the chain!" She said while Slime picks up two more cards. "And you'd be right!" Said Shandy who played her blue plus 2 happily, "UNO!"

"GOD DA-" Blossom puts their hand over Mori's mouth before he could continue while picking up two cards for him and playing a blue four of their own. PP then played a blue six, allowing Nobody to finally play their double sixes, red and green. "Uno~!" Said Lorel happily as she placed down a green four. "Hmph well UNO as well!" Virtual said as she placed down triple nines, two green and a blue. "Ah I wish I could've continued the Uno train..." Ava said sadly as they picked up a card from the newly shuffled deck. Slime played a blue two leaving Shandy having to let go of her winning chance for now as she picked a card from the deck. Mori groaned as he picked another card from the deck again while Blossom played their red two. PP placed down a yellow two, "Two choo train!" Nobody laughed while placing down their green two. Lorel pouted and picked up a card as did Virtual. Ava played a green skip since it was all they had left. "Stop it Avaaaaaa!" Slime whined as their turn was skipped again, "Thanks Avaaaaaa!" Shandy said as she played a green one, "Uno!". Mori huffed and played his yellow one and Blossom played their yellow nine straight after. Those cards gave PP no chance to play, they drew a card from the deck as Nobody played a yellow eight, "Uno! Let's see who's winning second place huh?" They nudged Lorel's by the shoulder. She groaned and picked up a card from the deck, Virtual laughed, "And that person would be me!" She said as she placed down a pair of reverses, yellow and red, then immediately after she said "UNO!" She placed down her last card, a red eight. She turned to Andrew and gave him a high-five and sat back, took a plastic container that holds three pieces of churros and started munching on them.

"You were just lucky!" Said Nobody, "I'll be third for sure!"

"No I will!" Lorel replied

"Then try~"

"It's on!"

Ava sigh happily as she watch her friends goof around trying to see each other's cards as she took one from the deck. Slime played double nines, red and blue, forcing Shandy to pick up another card. Mori relaxed as he played his red nine card down onto the pile, Blossom played down double skips with a smirk on their face. "Uno~!" Said Lorel again, "Thanks Blossom!"

"Hmph-" Ava huffed while picking up another card, Slime happily placed down double sevens, blue and green, peacefully without any tricks. Too bad the trick has already been played. "Uno!!" Said Shandy excitingly, "Uno.' Said Mori as he placed his green eight down, looking directly at her. "No!" Blossom said as they sadly pick up a card from the deck but that sadness faded as they could play the card they'd just picked up, a green five "Uno!". "You guys are so lucky!!" PP said as they picked up another card from the deck, "Oh wait nevermind-" They play the green four as soon as they got it. "Ack come on Lady Luck!" Nobody prayed as they picked up their new card, "Lady luck wasn't on your side and neither was she on mine, sadly." Lorel said picking up a new card from the deck. "Oops actually she was on mine, Uno!" Lorel laughed while placing down her new green six as Nobody whined. "She's on mine too apparently!" Ava said as she played the card she'd just picked up, a yellow six. "Is she on yours as well?" Slime shrugged and played their yellow zero. "SHE'S SURE HELL IS ON MINE!!" Shandy yelled as she slammed her last card down on the pile, a yellow nine. "I'm with you this time." Mori said confidently as he played his last card as well, a yellow five.

"Lucky y- Oh hey she's on my side as well!" Blossom said as she picked up her new card and played it, a yellow skip. "Yeah she's not on mine anymore apparently..." PP said sadly while Nobody laughed, "Yeah, and she sure isn't on Lorel's side!" They said as they played a blue skip. "Awh no fair!" Lorel whined, "Don't worry Lorel you can do this!" Virtual patted Lorel on the back as Andrew sat beside her, fallen asleep, seems like it was too boring for him to handle. "Thank you lady luck~" Ava said as she played her newly picked 'choose color' card, "Red!".

"Uno! Thanks Ava!" Slime said as they placed down a red one, "I never thought I'd hear myself say that!"

"Me too." Andrew said sleepily

"Andrew!!!"

Blossom sighed as they picked up a card which lady luck didn't bless. PP happily played their red one as well, "Lady Luck abandoned you too?" Blossom nodded as PP pat their head. Mori scoffed. "She's not on my side anymore!!" Nobody said as they picked up a card they couldn't play, "Yeah, because she's on MY SIDE!" Lorel slammed her last card down onto the pile, on her face expressed a victory smile. "NoooOO!!" Nobody said in a dramatic defeat. "Meh." Ava said as they played a red three, "Meh? MEH!? HAH, MEH WON!" Said Slime who jumped in victory as Ava sighed when Slime put down their plus 4 card, "Yellow!". "Evil, just, evil." Said Blossom who had to draw four new cards. "Yeah, evil definitely but I'm gonna change that, red." PP said after placing a 'choose color' card they'd just picked up. "You're Evil PP!" Nobody said as they picked up a card but luck for them, lady Luck was back on their side, they played a red four down onto the pile. "LADY LUCK WAS ON MY SIDE!!" Ava exclaimed as she yelled out "UNO!" Before placing down a pair of reverses and then her last card, a yellow seven just like how Virtual won. Blossom managed to play their double yellow four, "Awh she's not here!" PP said as they picked up a card they couldn't play. "UNO!!" Screamed Nobody, "I'm not gonna be last!!".

"We'll see about that~!" Said Mori smuggly who sat on the opposite side of the table.

"Whatever!"

"Uno!" Said Blossom in the most adorable voice ever, even Mori's heart skipped a beat. Blossom sat back down happily, awaiting their victory. PP placed down a blue eight with hesitation while looking at Nobody. "I!!!! Don't have it..." Nobody started and went down hill as quickly as a athletic's heartbeat while running a race, they picked up a card, "I win!!" Blossom said happily as they hugged Mori, "D-Don't touch me!" Mori pushed them away quickly, "Awhh, UNO!" Said Nobody as they played a green reverse, "Hah Uno you!" PP replied back. It was now an intense battle between PP and Nobody! Nobody picked up a blue reverse and played it,

"Uno u!"

"UNO RED!" PP said as they placed down a 'color choose' card, "Heh there's no way you could-"

"Uno u." Said Nobody as they put down a red plus 2, "There IS a way~!"

"Oh my God how!?" Ava said while Slime gasped, they thought PP had it in the bag!

"No idea but it's gone now." Nobody picked up a card they couldn't play. "Uno u!" Said PP as they played a red zero card down onto the pile. Nobody concentrated and played the red seven they'd just picked up. Surprisingly PP also picked up the same card and played it down, Nobody picked up another card, a yellow seven and it was like faith failed them as they put down the card.

"I WIN!!" Yelled PP as they placed down a pair of yellow and blue skip.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Nobody yelled out as they placed their cards back down onto the table for everyone to see. "You'll be buying the ice creams then!" PP patted Nobody's back as they groaned.

"Slime, Ava don't forget about my plushie!!" Andrew yelled out happily, "Yeah yeah we got it!" Ava said as they dragged Slime out of the hideout to get Andrew his Nightmare plushie. "That was fun!" Blossom squealed as they hugged Mori, "For goodness sake Blossom!" Mori scoffed as Blossom laughed.

"What do you guys wanna do in next?”

Oh woah, that took longer than expected! Haha, I actually had to laid out ten pile of uno cards with each person’s name on it- It took hours to play AND write at the same time so this was as accurate as it could be, I have no idea how Andrew won because the discord suggested him finishing 9th out of 10 but yay you got yourself a NM plushie that Slime and Ava had to pay for! :D
