✮⋆˙ a/n i have been thinking about these 2 an unhealthy amount so pls enjoy my brainrot

dan heng - the healer

the healer of the village was sort of an enigma, at least according to the townspeople

dan heng rarely makes his presence known to the public, opting to remain secluded in his cottage tucked deep within the trees

his business is mainly run through the way of doves—the townspeople write their troubles down and leave them, along with the payment, outside their homes, his doves bring the letters to him, he fulfills their requests and sends them back whatever treatment he deems is necessary

since visitors are so rare, whenever someone comes by, dan heng does his best to remember their names and faces because, even though refuses to admit it, it can get quite lonely

there have only been three people so far who've come to visit his cottage—one of them being you

however the difference between you and the other two is that you're the only one who's come back

not once, not twice, not even three times but five

dan heng didn't bat an eye the first two times you came by, but he started becoming curious (and concerned) the third and fourth time you've visited

during your fifth visit, he finds out that you work at an orphanage right at the edge of town and a lot of the children are starting to become sick and requiring more medicine

dan heng frowns when he hears this—he may choose to not interact with other people that often but that doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't care about others

so instead of handing you a pack of vials like he had before, he fills his satchel with a number of elixirs and ingredients from his worktable and proposes he returns to the village with you, much to your surprise

"you're taking care of more than fifty children, there's no way you'll be able to heal them all on your own. let me help."

and you weren't one to refuse his offer, so the two of you set out for town, arriving at the orphanage just before sunset

he sets up his own little clinic inside the building, administering medicine to any sick child and recording their symptoms and response to the treatment

by nightfall, all of the children are back in bed and you and dan heng remain downstairs, cleaning up

"thank you for your help," you tell him. "you should return home before it gets late."

dan heng furrows his brow and shakes his head lightly. "no, i can't leave just yet. i want to see if any of the treatments worked overnight. would it be all right if i stayed until morning, just to see if the children are okay?"

once again, you were taken by surprise but it went away quickly, replaced by a smile. "of course, i'll have a bed made for you—just give me a moment—"

you turn around to leave but a gentle hand on your shoulder stops you

you turn back around and see dan heng holding out a small vial filled with blue liquid

confused, you reach out and take the vial, turning it over in your hand "is this for one of the children? do you want me to give it to—"

"no, it's for you," he interjects, eyes flickering downwards. "i noticed the cuts and bruises on your leg earlier. i assume it's from you traveling from here to my cottage multiple times. you just have to rub the medicine on the wounds and wrap them with a bandage. they should be gone in a few days."

your eyes widened at his response, and you'd be lying if you said you didn't feel your heart stop beating for a few seconds

tucking the vial safely into your pocket, you sheepishly thank him before turning and almost sprinting down the hall, eager to be out of his sight

in your haste, you failed to notice the soft smile that graced the healer's lips as he watched you scurry away

blade - the marauder

as marauder, you both usually worked alone—it was easier that way

but ever since the capitol started cracking down on criminals and outlaws, even going so far as to hang up wanted posters around the major cities and towns, it became more and more difficult to pickpocket unnoticed

your little agreement with blade first began when you were strolling through the marketplace, fingers ready to snatch anything that catches your eye

you caught a glimpse of a gold keychain dangling from a young lady's satchel and you nonchalantly made your way over, pretending to survey the stall of fruits next to you

and like clockwork, your hand swiftly takes hold of the chain, silently ripping it away

just as you were about to slither away into the alley nearby, you feel someone grip your arm, yanking you back

immediately a man's face is taking up your vision and the only thing you could see was the vicious scowl on his face

"don't think i didn't see you steal from my wife you little thief." he seethes, grip tightening on your upper arm, causing you to wince

but before he has the chance to alert the guards, a ball of dirt comes flying through the air, seemingly out of nowhere, and lands directly on the man's face

he lets out a shout and stumbles back, releasing your arm

you barely had time to fully process what happened when you feel another hand wrap around your wrist

a masked stranger comes into view "why are you just standing there? run!"

he tugs you forward into a sprint and you almost trip over your feet, trying to keep up with him

he leads you out of the market and through the gates separating you from the city, stopping when you're both far enough from the guards

leaning against a tree, you bend forward to catch your breath, muttering out a thanks

your savior snorts and pulls off his mask, and once you see who it is, you scowl, stepping back

"blade," you say through gritted teeth, causing him to smirk

"aw come on, that's the response i get after i practically saved you back there? i'm hurt."

"i didn't ask for your help," you snap back and he scoffs

"please, you and i both know you wouldn't have made it out on your own. your wanted posters are plastered all over the city. i'm surprised you didn't try to conceal yourself."

"it's never been a problem until now," you mumbled. "but that doesn't matter, why did you help me?"

"i wasn't going to originally," blade starts, "but it's like you said. it's never been a problem until now. trust me, you're not the only one who's been having trouble pickpocketing recently. i almost got my hand cut off stealing from a blacksmith the other day. doing what we do can't be a solo thing anymore."

you raise your eyebrows and blade continues, offering you a proposal to work together—each of you taking turns acting as a distraction while the other goes around and pickpockets

you mull over it for a moment, but you're still hesitant

blade is known for being quite ruthless and you weren't sure you wanted to surround yourself with that, but you couldn't deny that it's become harder for you to work alone

"why should i agree?" you ask, moving closer. "and how do i know you won't just betray me?"

blade smirks once more "if i wanted to betray you, i would've let that guy report you earlier. and besides, how do i know you won't betray me?"

he pushes himself off the tree he was leaning on and begins to walk by you, stopping just close enough so your shoulders brush against each other

his hand touches your own just briefly and you shiver when you feel a cool sensation around your fingers

"think about it and let me know your answer. you know where to find me." with a wink, blade sets off in the opposite direction, leaving you standing there

you glance down at your hand, eyes widening when you open your palm and see the gold keychain

Omg ok so it’s peak squirrel brain hours for me rn so lemme try to tell you about this brainrot I’ve been having.

I literally have no idea where it came from but modern au, you’re a patron at thatch’s bar, you go there often and are friendly with thatch bc he’s a nice guy. Friends with Luffy. You go to said bar, having a great time with your friends, whitebeard crew shows up bc it’s thatch’s place obvi, but some other crew busts in trying to pick a fight. Somehow you get yoinked as a hostage bc the other crew wants to fight somewhere else (a trap duh) and it’s not a situation where they can get you out safe so they’re like yes we’ll fight you at this location but Marco is like I wanna come too, prolly cause he feels responsible maybe you were by the whitebeard crew bc you were luffy’s friend or you were flirting with Marco and that’s why you got snatched

And the baddies they’re like fine fine but it’s seastone cuffs. They got beef with him or something so they were down, plus having one of their fighters tapped out seemed smart

So you go off with them and both of you are just subconsciously trying to protect the other Marco even has you come sit on his lap bc the sketchy van you’re put in has stuff all over the floor and you’re wearing shorts/skirt and it’s conveniently freezing in the van so like, y’all can warm eachother up

And the baddies are like oh wait is it the Phoenix’s gf is that why he wanted to come and they’re taunting like oh the things we could do to your little gf and Marco is like just remember the cuffs won’t be on forever

Anyways they drive y’all around until the meeting time maybe taunting or roughing poor Marco up a little and finally they all meet up at this trap location except obvi the whitebeard pirates are gonna kick ass and come to the rescue and they take you back with them to heal any injuries/make sure you ok

BUT

Oh no one of the baddies gets away and starts posting all over the dark web about the phoenix’s weakness and everyone is like oh you’re in danger guess you gotta stay with us for awhile

And Marco was so nice so you just have a huge crush but he somewhat avoids you bc he feels responsible so you’re like oh he does not like me back oh ok

And idk they’re loosely mafia ish so some shenanigans ensue of people coming after you but Marco is always there to protect you and the tension is off the charts

….

That’s kinda as far as my brain got bc I keep starting over lmao

Ugh I wish I was better at making that a cute little story I’m so good at coming up with things in my head but typing them out is so hard T_T

But I hope you enjoyed my brainrot I’m about to head to bed and will most likely be thinking of it more <3

An Author friend of mine - far more successful and suited to the job than I am - said something once that really sticks with me.

The ideas are the easy part, writing is the hard part.

Some people will come to her with ideas, and want some sort of 50/50 deal for doing "half" the work, and honestly, no matter how well fleshed out the idea is, it's barely going to be 5% of the process at best.

I don't share that to put your idea down, not even a little, but I do mention it to highlight that you're not wrong. Turning ideas into stories is the hard part, and honestly I always love seeing that truth understood too. (Real fun is when you apply that to other things and realize that certain types who have "great ideas" are rarely the ones who make them reality, but they really want to continually tell you how great their ideas are changing the world >.> )

Moving on from my little rant, I have to say I LOVE THIS - KAZIEAI OMFG I AM FOAMING AT THE FUCKING MOUTH YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS IS ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITIESTS SITUATIONS EVER!

So - I have to admit I have a Mafia AU Marco story I'm slowly working on. It's pretty complex so far, intended as a slowburn anyway, and I really want to incorporate this idea into it. I just love the vibes.

AND - lol - one of the points I wanted to sort out for it was specifically having the reader end up in the Main House for the Whitebeard Mafia family. This idea is PERFECT, a few adjustments for the reader type and the AU itself, and the vibes are there. It's a Devil Fruit AU too, so >.>

the reader as a hostage gets Marco as a "hostage", they're supposed to let her go at that point, but someone gets the brilliant idea that the girl keeps the bird inline, and Pops' prize bird keeps the other boys inline, so they're keeping both.

The idea of the doomed kidnappers thinking the two are together works, it'll be the 2nd or 3rd time they've met and yeah, there's been flirting, but nothing committal. So her staying at the Main House for protection still leave Marco with a sour taste - he does like her, but this situation isn't fair. He's too laid back and experienced to blatantly avoid her, but he makes sure there's always someone else around, excusing himself before his brothers can "leave the two of them alone" or anything.

In this particular story the reader is an adopted kid of Big Mom's, trying to get away from the mafia life to some degree, and more than that to avoid being married off for whatever reason by Big Mom in the first place. (this is grumbled about in the first chapter, so it's not some big reveal). That certainly adds another layer to things, especially if Lin-Lin sees it as an in to tie the two families together.

Ah, sweet Kazieai <3 I would love to utilize this wonderful idea you've blessed my morning with. Just because the idea part is easier than the writing part doesn't mean it isn't worth due credit ❤️Especially when it's just the scenario I was trying to come up with.

As someone who also headcanons Childe to be cuddly af as well, this hurts me to my core😭 Like I just know this man would not give you a break you'd be trying to do literally anything and his arms would be snug around your waist, and he would not let go for anything 💀

As such, you are very correct when you say he'd have a hard time with a nontouchy lover. Childe's pretty disheartened at first. But is there a specific reason you don't like being touched? Maybe he can get you to explain? Maybe you can at least link pinkies with him? He's starving over here. Of course, he would 100% respect your boundaries, but he'd be very sad :( Boy would have to get real creative with his love otherwise he might explode.

More seriously though, this idea has a lot of cute fluffy potential, thinking about how this would be nice in maybe an olden times AU (pls idk the names) 💓 I'm thinking that they hid their true identity from you for a long time - you looked so fragile and helpless, and lived all alone - perhaps they were eyeing you up because your blood seemed so sweet, more than the average person even.

But even though they have much opportunities to take you, they don't. It seems that they have fallen in love with you somehow, and they can't bear to reveal their true form to you now. Until you somehow stumble upon them dizzy, completely needy for your blood. No matter how much they feasted on others, their throats still burned for your blood. Some would be more resistant and tell you to get away from them now. But all of them in the end, are clinging desperately to your shoulders, begging you for your blood and love otherwise they may go mad. If you accept, well... you'll belong to them forever👀

(Would they turn you into a vampire?? Some of them definitely would I think, like Scaramouche and Dottore who want you to be with them for all eternity. Others would be conflicted over you keeping your precious humanity vs wanting to claim you as theirs.. :()

PLEASE I love this! At first you have no idea whether Capitano is unamused or unaffected by you cuz all you can see is the pitch darkness of his helmet covering his face so you end up dying a little inside cuz you don't really know how to act now. But little do you know internally he's wondering how it's possible for one person to be so sweet and cute. Poor man doesn't know how to express his feelings in any other way besides unintentionally staring at you menacingly and then patting you awkwardly.

This is fiction, anytime is possible 🛐🛐 He gets embarrassed when his kid makes fun of him for his first meeting with you 😭 (Would he let his kid meet Ei?😭 She would probably feed them sweets behind his back </3 Yae teaches his kid how to be mischievous)

Ngl, Scara as a dad is very interesting :( I feel as though he'd want to give his kid a lot of attention due to how much he suffered from feeling as though he was abandoned by his creator, but at the same time the only person who taught him how to love is reader so he isn't sure how to properly express his feelings to his kid and might end up staying away for a bit :( </3

Scara fic is on the backburner for now, I think I will wait until 3.2/3.3 to finish it, or when I have a long slot of free time💀 But I love my boy sm <33

I've been avoiding the haitham's story quest because of how much it got spoiled and breed so much discourse😂 so I waited until now to complete it. And tbh its one of my favorites! Tighnari's is still at the top but Alhaitham's is right behind it.

I think its because parts of alhaitham's character either I relate to or remind me of my best friend, but also the npcs didn't felt like annoying as much as the other story quests. Like I know what they are doing by using npcs so we get to know the character a little better, but like in nilou's and cyno's case it felt kinda? lacking? idk maybe I'll need to rewatch those.

I have more to say but I'll leave it under a read more!

One thing I wish they would've added was Tighnari, since we were already in gandharva ville and I want those two to interact. But I appreciate Cyno being part of it🥰

About the discourse, I think people either didn't paid attention to the quest or they are emotionally weak im JOKING😂 Kaveh was the one provoking and alhaitham responded to his comments, but hthm didn't had to go so hard on that smile from a client comment that hurt ME😂

But then again Kaveh being like this must be only because of alhaitham, kinda like how Diluc is nasty around Kaeya so much that people jump off of a dragon to avoid their fighting🤷‍♀️, I HOPE bc i do like Kaveh, he was great in hthm's character teaser and I want to see that side of him again. Also kinda hurt he sees us on the same light as alhaitham now😪 Since he is a 4 star (as far as leaks say) hopefully he gets a hangout and there we can know more about him.

Ok. Now the brainrot. The last part of the story quest is called "Pride and Prejudice" and I said on twitter a few weeks before this story quest that alhaitham is like Mr Darcy YOU CAN'T DENY IT AND LOOK AT IT NOW!! its in his story quest hyv agrees with me!!😂😂

Cyno is lizzie like pls, who can go toe to toe with alhaitham's dry comments if not Cyno?? For some reason my dumbass decided that Quackity, Karl, Wilbur, and for some reason Dream, all needed to be background drivers to this story which is most likely why I hit 7K. I only wanted to write a short little 1K bullshittery and be on my way, a little bit of crumbs for the SNF enjoyers, but uh, that didn't turn out how I wanted it too.

So I'm sitting there, staring at the 5K word mark and going, 'you know what this needs? a piercing scene' and then not waiting for an answer. I added it purely on a whim because Wilbur didn't have enough screen time and I wanted to make sure he got some form of banter with Quackity (who makes fun of him for getting a piercing). I wrote this like, four months ago so I don't entirely remember the thought process aside from the fact that I wanted one SNF tattoo scene to exist referencing a very specific post.

Also I never explicitly mentioned it in the fic but George works at a flower shop with Fundy, I think I was saving that for a part two. But it's been four months and I've yet to start a part two, so unless something happened George and Fundy working at a flower shop is VIP knowledge for anyone bold enough to click the read more. I do remember wanting Sapnap to give Dream the 'fuck you' bouquet with the help of Georges flower expertise-

Not only is it the worlds first Kenikari fic, it is also the worlds first angsty Kenikari fic, and the first multichapter Kenikari fic. This one is a lot smaller, a lot simpler at that, basically I fucking hate the rolling rock sequence and took that out on Detah. He's my favorite he really is, and if you were around for my Danny Phantom era, you may or may not know that it changed me on an atomic level and I show I love characters by putting them through it.

I also saw Detah looking dead as fuck on the ground after the rolling stone puzzle and decided I should just, angst it up a little bit. Give him a broken ankle, it builds character, a bit of blood, heavy anxiety and minor gore never hurt. Don't worry though! He gets fixed up a little bit in chapter two :)

This fucking fic. I had so many WIPs going on when I wrote this, I had homework due when I wrote this, I had a family meeting the day after the night I wrote this. And guess what? I fucking dropped everything to write this, a moderately fucked up Hanahaki SNF fic where Dream is an unforgivable cunt cause thats how we do in this household. This shit pulled the E-brake on my return to Undertale brainrot, this shit pushed a rest button in my brain and threw me back into the SNF pool full force.

I have no clue how it did so, or why it decided to have an adverse effect on me, the author, but it did. It's been like, a month since I posted it, and I ended up deciding to write a part two for it as well, a part three waiting to be started. Since the release of it I've also hit 50K words of SNF cause it just, pushed me back into the deep end which really isn't that deep considering it's a moderately rarepair.

AND I BLAME ALL OF IT ON @sobredunia SHE CAUSED THIS. She dropped into my inbox and went 'hey Ace, what if you put mushrooms in someones lungs instead of flowers?' and then I did exactly that. So in this world George had mushrooms in his lungs (luminescent ones), has hollow bones, turns into a glowstick if he cracks his back, and he can purr also because of dunia.

Grounding

I was sad that they didn't animate the taser torture scene, or ever go in depth on the trauma that he would've left with upon being tasered half to death while tied up in an abandoned warehouse. And before you go wondering what fandom this is for, it's Yugioh, it's a fic about Yugioh, specifically the manga. I would heavily suggest giving the mangas a read actually, it's full of Yami giving out junior Saw Traps to anyone who hurts his friends and family.

More or less I threw Jounouchi into a brand new situation that goes over the past trauma of getting electrocuted half to death in a brand new form because sometimes a girl needs to write about her favorite dude getting tortured. Another prime example of how the phandom has left me forever changed- also they literally tied him up like this in one panel mere moments before the taser part.

Behold, the fluffiest fic I've ever written, not a whole lot is behind this one and all the props go to daydreamdnn's works for giving me a heady dose of inspiration. I just, the SNF brainrot man, it got me good, and then the notions of giving them a cat? Amazing, beautiful even, perfection in short fluffy oneshots with a sprinkling of suggestive themes underneath it all.

The only behind the scenes bit is that they probably fuck off screen, I don't know what else there is too it than that. I also like to imagine that they go back and get a dog too, said dog and cat mix like oil and water. Connie is always so sweet, funny, respectful, both in and out of the bedroom so it wasn't long before you started wanting to stay in his arms a bit more after a good session

Connie never treated you any differently, but there were times when things just felt different

The moment you knew you had feelings for him was when he fucked you differently compared to your previous sessions

Sure he would blow your back out every now and then, but there were also more mellow times with him when you both were feeling lazy and needy

But THIS was a new experience. He fucked you slowly, but intensely. His hands were all over you but his touches were more gentle and soft. His kisses were a little bit sweeter and the caresses on your face lingered just a bit longer.

You snuggled into his chest a little more after that and you swore he held you a bit tighter, pulling your body just a bit closer to his. When you became aware of his heart beating under your ear, and found yourself being lulled to sleep by it, you knew you were fucked both literally and figuratively

Your feelings for him weighed you down more and more until you decided you were playing a dangerous game and you had to get out before you reached the point of no return

it sucked having to break things off with Connie but it was the first rule of any fwb relationship and you broke it more and more everyday.

As you sat up and rolled out of bed, ready to get dressed and leave, you felt Connie's arms come up behind you and rested his chin against your shoulder.

"Hey, why don't you stay the night?" he asked, placing a quick kiss on the junction between your neck and shoulder.

You exhale heavily, dreading what was coming next. You didn't plan on breaking it off so soon, but you knew staying the night would only be the wrong choice to make - for your sake and your heart's.

"I don't think that's a good idea."

"C'mon, this isn't the first time you've stayed the night. Please?" You wanted to give in. You wanted to roll around, kiss his pretty face and spend the night in his arms. But knowing he didn't feel the same way as you did, knowing you'd leave with a heart that would break a little bit more if you stayed over, is what made you say no.

"It's not a good idea, Connie." you take a deep breath. "Actually, I think we aren't a good idea anymore."

You felt him withdraw his arms from your torso, the areas where he held you instantly feeling cold and empty. You hold on tighter to the sheets, partly to cover yourself up but mostly to keep you from breaking down in front of him.

"What?! Why not? Did I do something wrong? Was I too rough?"

Connie desperately racked his brain for what could have gone wrong from when you were saying his name like a prayer to now. He didn't want to mess it up with you, he really didn't. You slowly became someone he felt safe with. You became the one he wanted to see first thing in the morning, that's why he wanted you to stay over. He was falling for you, but he didn't want to admit it just yet. Maybe you caught on and didn't feel the same way? He knew he'd have to tell you eventually, but he wanted to be selfish a little bit longer. He wanted to enjoy what you guys had before going back to being just friends with no 'benefits'.

"I know we agreed to being just friends but I think I'm starting to feel something more than that and it's really stupid. But I don't think I can do this anymore without falling for you more than I already have." The tension in the air is palpable. In the time it takes for what you said to finally sink in Connie's mind, you decided his silence was his final answer.

When Connie saw your figure quietly get up from the edge of the bed, he knew this was his chance.

He quickly made his way over to your side, sitting on the edge. He reached out and gently wrapped his arms around your waist.

"Don't go, please." He whispered into the skin of your back.

You turn to look at him, keeping your tears at bay, trying to pry his arms off of you. God, with the way he was looking at you, that was almost all the convincing you need to stay just last night with him

"Connie, don't make this harder on me. You don't understa-"

"No, [y/n]" he cuts you off, now moving his hands to hold yours. "you don't understand." he delicately presses a kiss to your fingertips before kissing the back of your hand. "I want you. I want you to stay."

The meaning behind his words lit a spark in you that erupted into a passionate flame in your chest.

Connie wanted you. He wanted you just as much as you wanted him.

You cup his face, one of his hands coming up to rest over yours. You lean down and place the sweetest, softest kiss you can on his lips. It's not much but you hope he can feel all you've wanted to tell him in that one kiss.

"Okay, Connie, okay" you whisper as your lips pulled away from his own, a small smile forming when he whined at the loss of contact.

You committed the image of Connie Springer pouting at you because he wanted a kiss to your memory. You would tease him about it soon enough, you just wanted cherish the fact that he wanted kisses - your kisses.

You had more nights to share, more kisses to give him, but for now you just wanted to enjoy the feeling of having Connie in your arms, knowing you had each other as long as your hearts wanted.

You wanted to enjoy the feeling of Connie simply being there, finally being yours. He wasn't going anywhere, and neither were you.

"I'll stay."
