#and that does include trans women

editting to add that I'm kinda disagreeing with the post since ik most people would not read the tags.
in the past few months i’ve probably seen half a dozen different posts (rightfully) talking shit about those people who say “the way to tell how inclusive a queer space is is by seeing if there are any cishet men there” and instead saying, yknow, “what about trans women? do trans women feel comfortable/safe/included? surely that’s a better metric” and every single time the notes are full of people arguing that actually, the presence of cishet men IS important, somehow entirely ignoring that the topic at hand was, “actually, spaces that transfems don’t feel comfortable and safe in are inherently not inclusive environments”. because nobody actually cares about OUR inclusion, they care about the vague spectre of inclusion itself. fucking ridiculous
#yall gonna hate me on this one i guess#but my metric literally is if there's multiple black transfems who are clearly a part of it and not just there because they were invited#and/or black queers in general#truly have no idea what it is#but me as a “white” queer do not feel comfortable if theres an overwhelming majority of nb queers in the space#and that does include trans women#i dont care about “cismen” because for all i know those could be cracking eggs still exploring#or better gnc and/or multigender trans people#is the overwhelmingly white space that freaks me out

Conversations on here will basically be like
"Hey these new reproductive rights issues are affecting trans men too so let's make sure we include them in the conversation, instead of calling it women's health issues."
"Would you stop complaining? Trans women have it worse than trans men. TERFs want to kill us but only detransition you."
"If living as the gender you are not is so easy why would you transition in the first place? Obviously trans people transition because they can't live with existing as a gender they are not. Obviously "just going back" isn't an option because we often fail to behave the way we're expected to anyway. Forcing any trans person to detransition is a death sentence in and of itself."
"Why are you always speaking over transfems when we talk about transmisogynistic violence???"
#transandrophobia#its the conversation being about trans mascs to begin with that does it for me#yeah im sorry i interupted the beginning of your sentence with the middle of mine so rude of me#and the ultimate frustration is the topic has drifted so far off course#from including trans men in reproductive healthcare#and nobody cares#functionally i would just like access to reproductive healthcare#and you are the one pulling attention from that by turning it into a whataboutisms conversation#nothing that trans men want to acheive by being part of the conversation about reproductive health precludes trans women also getting rights#but telling trans men to shut up and listen to trans women because they have it worse#IS INTENTIONALLY LEAVING TRANS MEN BEHIND#not to mention arguing about who has it worse is what creates false dichotomies that leave out nonbinary people on top of it

the muddying up of language for the intent of inclusivity that only makes things worse has gotta be one of my biggest pet peeves ever just say what you mean and stop jumping through 20 hoops to say the same goddamn thing i'm gonna lose it

JUST SAY WOMEN#i promise trans women are included in that when u just say women we dont need to add the whole#'women and people who identify as women' you sound ridiculous get out of my face#do we ever do this to men btw like have you ever heard anyone say 'men and people who identify as men' im killing you with a hammer#like are we gonna be discussing people who possibly identified as women but may have been considered transmasc today?#no???? then ENOUGH W THAT KIND OF WEIRD WORDING#lord it's so aggravating bc it's in the name of progressiveness but like does anyone realize how dehumanizing it is to trans women#and cis women too like again we dont do this to mennnnn oh my god#rant over im at peace now i just get evil during the semester bc everyone pisses me off every day

the amount of love, admiration and respect I hold for imane khelif
#she is the first female boxer to represent algeria at the olympics#she’s loved sports and boxing since she was six years old#she is exceptionally skilled at what she does#she won a gold medal at the istanbul bosphorus 2021 international boxing tournament#she won a gold medal at the 2021 strandja memorial tournament#she was a finalist at the at the 2022 iba women's world boxing championships#later that year she won MORE gold medals at the gold medals at the mediterranean games and the african amateur boxing championships#and then of course she won gold again in the 2024 olympics#this woman is insane#and then someone had to throw a tantrum bc she was so strong and it ‘wasn’t fair’#and she’s like ok well I’m sorry I assumed you could also box??#so then right after her win she’s faced with intense online abuse and misinformation#over her eligibility to compete in the women's category cos how dare a woman be that strong and she could be trans right 🙄#which it should have been no one’s business if she was but ofc she has to prove she’s cis to ppl INCLUDING celebrities and world leaders.#and so now she’s filing a lawsuit for defamation against the majority of these dicks including j k rowling and elon musk#who accused her of abusing other women#imane khelif#what a fucking icon I adore her#olympics#2024 paris olympics#I would actually die for her I’m not kidding#mine

Of course there’s plenty of anti-intersex chauvinism in the trans community, but once again, many people in the intersex community are proving that they are incapable of talking about that without being extremely transmisogynistic scumbags.
#if you say tme and tma are a ‘false binary’ imposed by trans intersexism that means you are desperately in need of self-crit#why does your conception of intersex people not include trans women

i like jokingly calling myself a misandrist in my mind but i could never have a post including that because i literally have a special interest and blog theme based around a MAN... it would fall so flat
#i am predisposed against men yes it's true.#do i need a ''this includes trans men and not trans women. this is not bioessentialist but rather about social systems'' disclaimer#or does everyone know already

tumblr. shut the fuck up. stop recommending me this. i am a trans woman. how do you not understand this.
#it just never fucking stops.#why does every “trans positive” thing seem to have trans men as the “default” kind of trans person.#reminds me of how every transfem post or whatever inevitably gets made about trans men#like how every trans women (me included by my doctor of all fucking people) always gets mistaken for a trans man at least once#sigh#transfem#transgender

Okay, it's 2024 now, can we please please please stop making a big deal out of women with facial hair?! Pretty please?!
#rhys-ravenfeather signing on#pcos#polycystic ovarian syndrome#by which i mean pulling the 'ew women with facial hair are GROSS' and treating them like jokes#sincerely: a woman with pcos who has had her facial hair pointed out more times than she'd count#including BY HER OWN FAMILY#btw even though i wrote this from the point of view of a cis woman who does just so happen to have pcos 1/2#2/2 trans women are welcome to reblog this too#also newsflash: EVERYONE GETS FACIAL HAIR PEOPLE

#like i thought id hate everything abt going out but genuinely so much of it is fun and these encounters are fr heartwarming to me#i internalized that interactions w girls and women were horizontally hostile#but genuinely there are so many more girls girls than i expected to even casually encounter in adulthood#& its way more queer women than i internalized either#women just uplifting one another for its own sake#and this absolutely DOES include trans women and gnc folks in ladies restrooms#youre welcome and oh my GOSH your hair looks so GOOD what products do you use
