Many much a time later, an updated list of my npc designs I fished shared a bit back! Right now it's sitting at a whopping 40 characters, with 11 of them having first and second game half designs (something that I only plan on doing for the younger npcs, and most of them are done already!). I've been struggling for a hot minute about how to go about describing each of these characters in a quick and easy manner but there's no casual way to do so. The first version has most of them named and described already and if anyone has questions about who or what role a specific one is meant to be my in box is open, but by and large all of the new ones added probably fall under the umbrella categories of "small child you can babysit, occasionally with a noted augment" or "wormhole orphan".

I had a whole thing about the spreadsheet that accompanies this that isn't ready for public sharing yet but tumblr decided to eat that paragraph, so theres that :T. Anyways if anyone else has need for a full landing roster for both ships + about 20 years of theoretical/possible-dependent-on-timeline post-game kids (not even counting any of Sol's), keep your eyes peeled for that niche monstrosity.

"Home" in regards to "Intermission"

I'm writing this as an excuse to talk about lesser-known aspects of "Home", admittedly. So "Home" actually happens because the trio got together to watch the tape N found in "Cabin Fever". "Intermission" instead ends on Uzi suggesting that she poke around in their memories, which is what happens in "Home" but it's not for that reason. Uzi looking in their memories was an unintended thing. You can see the tape paused on Uzi's TV every time "Home" returns to Uzi's room.

The implications are that the trio were watching the tape when the Solver activated and began deleting N and V's memories, Uzi grabbing the hacking tools she used in episode 2 to save them. Look closely, it's the same head devices she uses on N and V in episode 5.

"Cabin Fever" ends on N looking at the tape, and "Home" opens on what is on the tape. The tape is the through-line between the episodes, and it is completely absent in "Intermission"s plot.

What's REALLY fun about this is that this was probably a "movie night" suggested by N if we take his manor counterpart suggesting the same.

That OR N suggested it was a sleepover, because Uzi is really annoyed by the idea that their gathering be called that. (Truthfully, doubtful on this because it being a straight-up movie night seems more likely and Uzi just doesn't want to call it a sleepover)

Which would be the first time any of them have ever gathered in her house if Khan is to be believed here. (Makes some of my own fanfics non-canon, but the man's said this, so that's the canon as far as I'm aware)

Girl had a sleepover/movie night because her crush wanted to see what the fuck was on this random tape he found on a campground, and the dude invited his former crush/friend(?) along for the ride. Then, the tape activated an eldritch cyber entity that deletes memories in the dude and his former gf, which the girl had to fix. Fun times.

I suppose this makes me extremely old but I keep seeing people say that ao3 has a non-intuitive interface and I don't know what y'all are talking about because I can't figure out shit on Instagram but AO3 is extremely straightforward??

Suppose I want to read some fanfic for a show called Ancient Forensic Nightmares (making up this name, afaik no such show exists). I open up ao3. There is a menu at the top that I don't have to click a button to make show up. In the top left is a button called fandoms.

Great! I click on it. The top left is the starting point for people who read left to right languages, which they teach you in every UI design class. I get a new menu!

Great! I'm looking for a TV show. When I click on that, I get an alphabetized list! So easy to find the one I want, right there under A for Ancient Forensic Nightmares. If I don't want to scroll I can just Ctrl+F.

Then I can start reading! If I find a ship I like I click on the name of the ship and get more fic about that ship! Why do people think this is unintuitive???

There are for sure some unintuitive features on AO3, specifically exchange signups and prompt memes. But the basic reading experience is super duper straightforward because you just look for the thing you want and voila! There it is!

adding a basement to a prebuilt home in the sims, a quick guide for @spidermansdeadgirlfriend :)

step one: use the basement tool (room) and start no less than one tile from the front or back of the stairs, drag along the side of the staircase (keeping an extra tile at the opposite end for functionality), and form a simple box.

step two: move whatever is in the way of where the landing for the new staircase will be.

step three: delete the wall backing the existing staircase and the walls/bottom of the staircase, then click to bring up the action block and copy the staircase. drop down to the basement (windows: page down / mac: fn + down arrow) and place your staircase directly below the existing one.

step four: now you have access from within the house, continue making your ideal basement :)

tip: – having one to two tiles max on each end when creating the basement will help you line up your lower staircase much easier than making a larger basement from the start.

*for the greenbrook house specifically: having the fridge at the column into the living room might hinder it nonfunctional/blocked. deleting the column(s, for balance/aesthetic) should solve that problem without any other issues.

The alternates (df who has stolen its user's body) are things created just to one purpose,to devour every single living thing on the earth, it (imu) has created them for that, so that's the only thing they are planning to do.

But, let's say there are some rebels (those who opened their eyes) , another rebel (nika) has given them a better purpose, so they decided to follow.

In this au, Nika and luffy share body and mindspace, luffy is completely aware of Nika's existence, but doesn't actually care and just calls him '𝘱𝘢𝘰' .The crew discovered his existence at their own ways, for example, usopp and Nami got jumpscared in the morning one day after saving nami's island, to be exact, the day Nami changed her tattoo , they were so scared that called zoro to explain, zoro all ready knew about his existence because luffy told him, but had never saw him himself until that moment, nami's and usopp's fear was delicious

The alternates can taste emotions, and they can taste the human meat soooo, sanji would be cooking for a cannibal.

This post is mostly for my moots who know me irl because you will know how ridiculous this is given the way I am as a person, but my job is so miserable right now that after juggling about 5 peoples' worth of work for 2 weeks with zero support from supervisors, one of my supervisors told me yesterday that someone at a lower pay grade than me complained about me, and that my speech to that person was "borderline abusive".
