Okay, I was going through some old drafts this morning and I might (might) go back to my "The Council sends Obi-wan to Serenno during the last months of the war under the pretense that he's betraying the Republic and wants to train as a Sith" story at some point over the next few weeks. It's been a very long, sun-hot minute since I've posted anything even remotely having to do with Star Wars in my writing, but this paragraph tickled me as I know where this story goes :D

Hello everybody! This time around, the art prompt's theme is "Travel" which made me think that drawing The Owl Express would be pretty neat! I did most of the sketch by memory (Somehow (I know how I like speedrunning Train Rush all the time dfgsdfd) but I used a screenshot from the modding tools to add the extra little details!

I think Hat Kid likes to sneak onto the train without a ticket, which annoys The Conductor but he surprisingly lets it slide! I don't think you should try it though, you might be thrown off the side of a moving train which might uhh... hurt a little.

Anyways! I hope you enjoy this art i've done for the art prompt! (Extra sketch under the cut) VvV

#ay. tomorrow might b the day i face the music #which is to say. i tell my advisor how fucked i am. i mean. ill spin it so it doesn't sound so bad #its just that ive told him like 2 weeks in a row that id send him my edited preproposal and i have not bc im too afraid to start reading #papers related to my project. which is frustrating. and like the thing is. and i kno ive said it before and i kno im not a fucking idiot #i can read papers and i can even understand what theyre broadly saying. but thats it.#zero critical thinking. zero insight. i use all my tiny fucking brain space to try to understand the words on the pages #and even then it only forms this broken fucking image of whats being said. like u dont understand. i used to struggle with writing papers bc #i couldnt fucking connect what i was saying from one paragraph to the next when i was the one doing the fucking writing.#what the fuck am i doing here? and again. im not stupid. i can follow the information if its fucking said out loud but thats not how this #works. and it just feels like sometimes there's a limit to what you're capable of and im at that fucking limit. the undergrads in my lab #have more ability to comment on papers than i do. its so fucking frustrating and i just have to live with knowing itll never get any easier #so what the fuck can i do other than drop out? theres no god damn way im gonna pass a comprehensive exam. not unless i buckel down and break #myself in half to try to retain all the information i need to. which requires that i read so many god damn papers that i cant fucking read.#just. why tf did i pick a career path where my suffering is inherent to a huge part of my job? i feel like ive consistently chosen to take #the hard path in life and ive finally stumbled too far from what is possible for me #so well see what comes out of my mouth tomorrow when i have my weekly meeting. i just feel like its my last semester #i feel like this is it. i just need someone to fucking hire me. bc everytime my lab mate mentions something abt #my project down the line or talks abt future conferences i should attend. im just like. its a nice idea but that's not happening. im just #at the end of the line and it sucks #unrelated

i'm sorry i will just never understand winter enjoyers. so you're telling me you either actively enjoy the sun setting at 4pm and having most of your free time (if you're working and/or in school) be in darkness, or you consider it a minor enough issue that you're willing to overlook it bc you don't like sweating and mosquitoes? and that's not even mentioning the freezing cold and the having to wake up in the dark if you start work or school early... sounds fake but ok

#i KNOW not everyone has seasonal depression but i simply cannot believe someone not being horribly unhappy with 4pm sunsets #it just makes me want to curl up in a ball and cry like i would rather endure sweat and mosquitoes forever #than have to deal with the sun setting any early than 6:30 i'm serious #<- can you tell i'm not coping well with the realization that it will be winter in like six weeks #and with the fact that my class schedule for next semester means i start at 8:30 and end at 5:30 4 days out of 5 #so i would be waking up at 6:30 in the dark #and leaving school at 5:30 in the dark as well #:)))))#soapbox

You know what? I give up on this paper once and for all. I'm not even ashamed anymore

#okay I'm a little ashamed #it's another 5 points i have to catch up with next semester #but it's making me want to kill myself and i don't even know if the professor would still accept it #(the original deadline was in October. i got an official extension until November. i guess it'd be just rude #to ask if it was still okay to send it #especially since i haven't done any substantial work on it #it's just bad. i hate the topic. i hate the way the professor views the subject 'language and emotion'#so that i cannot write what i want but would have to tailor it towards her views because otherwise I'd fail #and also i cannot write in german. i simply can not do it. )#it's better to move on and focus on my last paper for last semester (official deadline is end of March #so I'm not behind for once)#and i should do the assignments for a module i should have finished 1 year ago #so i don't have to do that next semester #and i should start studying korean again so i don't make a complete fool of myself next semester #I have my first day of work in 2 weeks so I'll also have to focus on working (for money) from there on #I've been paralyzed by the thought of having to write this paper for way too long #the professor is not my boss anymore (i still have to work off some hours though) and even if she was #I'm so done being ashamed of myself for not being able to do certain things #i wanna give it my best from now on but not for this paper. it's done.#void screams

i thought splatfest was next week (& only found out it was this week because i happened to check splatnet) so i missed half of it … really disappointing

#i probably would have known it was this week if i checked my dash but i haven't been on all week #because classes give me limited phone/computer time & lately I've been using that time to read comics or code #i'll probably be back soon but it's also nice to take a break for a few days. i literally only got on now because i wanted to complain abou #missing half of grand fest LOL. i wanted to see the performances while fighting against my joycon gyro #now i have to look them up instead… it's just not the same #i at least played for like an hour this evening tho. but tomorrow I'm out all day TT-TT they should have held it at a time convenient for m #such as next week. Oh well goodbye splatoon 3 #i guess it's better than missing it completely tho. that would have been extremely disappointing #it's also bittersweet that 3's already at end-of-life because it came out my first semester of college and now I'm graduating this semester #and then moving on to a different college next semester… life comes at you fast. and makes your game lifespan feel infinitely shorter #fiftytenpost #splatoon
