I love Beauyasha so much. I miss them so much.

The reunion gave me so much joy and now I'm in this weird happy but melancholy state. I love the Nein so much and I want more of them. And I especially want more of Beau and Yasha. If we get a Fjorester wedding one shot, I will be stoked. But then also give me the Beauyasha wedding too!

Maybe I’m latching on to this scene too emotionally as it is, but it really does speak to the lack of control Jean has with his own decisions. He needs everything to be green lighted, nothing he decides personally can ever be right. Before he had Riko, Tetsuji, Kevin, and everyone telling him what to do. So even now when he’s separating himself from the Ravens, there’s still a voice in his head telling himself he needs to double check his decisions with someone who has more authority than him.

Lately I’ve had to keep thinking about this scene and repeating what Cat said when I make my own decisions. There’s something about the way that Cat reassures him that is so comforting even if it barely feels enough to suppress the urge to check again. She’s a really good friend for phrasing it this way, and I feel like no matter how many times Jean needs to hear this, she’d repeat it.

I will forever be so upset that the Ice Chapter didn't give us a Kai VS Ice Emperor fight like come OOOON!

And I'm not even coming at this from an oppo angle. Like yeah, I love oppo, everyone knows that, but it just feels like such a missed opportunity to have Kai have to fight Zane and have him be the one to get him to snap out of it. But no, it has to be Lloyd because he's Lloyd.

And another thing that makes me so upset regarding the missed potential here is the fact that in the Fire Chapter, the big bad villain is Aspheera. And at the end of the Fire Chapter, Zane is the one who defeats her, you know, the master of ice. So then in the Ice Chapter, it would make sense that the one to defeat the big bad would be Kai since he's the master of fire and it would make for good parallels or whatever. But no we don't get that.

At the very least we get that awesome, badass scene where Kai defeats Boreal and saves the others. That scene was amazing, I just with we got a little more from Kai, you know?

Why are shounen male mangakas trying to write romance? Why did i go through naruto for years only to go through mha with the exact same thing??? Look at dandadan - m/f CAN BE WRITTEN WELL. But if you focus on your 'friendships' to SUCH degree and throw aside your romantic pair, are people supposed to be happy? You give Ochako good character arc that is completely detached from Izuku, focus on her with Toga while still focusing on Izuku and Katsuki, then decide to randomly pull back to your het bland romance?

But fine, okay, it annoyed me a lot but it's NOTHING next to my annoyance when it comes to katsuki's character. Look, i never expected horikoshi to make anything gay canon. It's fine. But when you tease the 'wonder duo', side by side, 'for the rest of our lives', win by saving and save by winning, then make Izuku REFUSE to join Katsuki's agency? The guy who spent 8 years working on getting your ass back on track and keeping your dream alive? The guy you always admired and considered the closest friend? Unlocked quirks with him in mind? Like what the fuck do you MEAN that Izuku brushed him aside and went to his not even half baked romance. What the hell was that. Why did he tease it all just to throw their hero duo away? This is literally not how Izuku would behave and I'm beyond annoyed with Katsuki's ending.

8 years of naruto, then 8 years of mha with a ship i grew with and really loved because of their developing and well written relationship, just happy at the prospect of them being this hero duo in the future and being best friends because I didn't expect more from shounen jump.

Well. My bad for hoping for something just decent. I hope this genre of shounen will really die and drop the romance entirely or learn to write it if they want to do m/f. Look at dandadan or fma. It can be done.
