NEED TO GO HOME AND WRITE SOOO BAD RAHHHHHH

#this will be worst last hour of work ever #i have nothing to do but im stressed bc theres still lots to DO just nothing urgent #and then i have to go home and do hw #and then i need to catch up on sleep bc they want me in the office at 4 am tomorrow #and ive been getting 4-5 hours of sleep consistently for like a week #which is NOT good for me #im a good noodle #i usually get 8-10 hours #so i literally feel dead #i feel like im in the mcdonalds playplace and im looking through the warped plastic bubble up at the top #and i have homework to do tonight 😭 fucking discussion posts #ive drafted a message for my editor to ask her to let me significantly reduce my hours next week #so hopefully she says yes #i need a few days off if shes gonna pull this 12 hour stunt on me 😭#im literally an intern #i make $15 which is like. good but still minimum wage in some places #and will be minimum wage HERE in 2026 #and i have CLASSES #cf is canceled for two days but ucf isnt soooo..#anyway i need to go home and write fanfic it will cure me #that theory that doing awful things to yourself on purpose makes you want to create more is true #bc it seems like a better alternative #rn i am YEARNING for an empty google doc #im hungry im gonna go take my (unofficial) lunch break #im allowed to eat at my desk #so i just bring lunch and sit at my desk and eat very slowly on purpose and do nothing for like 30 minutes #since im not allowed to have a real lunch break #this is my protest 🙏#i dont think my editor knows i dont get lunch breaks lol #shes proabbly gonna try to take us to lunch tomorrow and ill be like sorryy i cant

working full time with normal hours has convinced me more than ever that actually high school Could have been a sane & even enjoyable time for me if it weren't for the homework. sick & twisted tbh

#i spent all of high school continually behind on my work/desperately trying to make it up/getting ~4 hrs of sleep a night/full of #guilt over it/feeling like i was losing my mind/not eating properly/trying to do my hw at lunch/etc etc whatever #& now I'm waking up/going out about the same time as i was & getting home only a little later and i have None of that i have to do & I'm #eating regularly & sleeping like 8hrs a night I'm looking back on that like what the fuck. that was so fucked up & evil i had to go through #all that. what the hell.#<- i mean i sort of knew this but i genuinely thought getting up early/spending so long at school/etc was also a major contributer #but like. it's literally not. I can do all that just fine when i ferl like a normal sane healthy person. it was literally just the hw.#hw is evil fr. what are we doing to our kids etc etc #thoughts #I say regular hours bc i have worked full time before but it was w such weird hours I couldn't really make the comparison

In a fucking glorious turn of events, my weed pen is working again

#it has been. one fuck of a day #at least the ppl I work for at very kind and reasonable and understanding about my car having issues #the baby was very fussy and I am so exhausted from walking #it definitely is not tenable for me to take the bus entirely both ways from work #I'm gonna have to call a Lyft after the first bus bc Ho Lee Shit public transport needs better funding and more options #also I still need to buy groceries and pick up my meds AND finish my hw before I can even relax at home #I'm gonna do as much hw as I can on the bus but it's getting too dark out to do it at the stops #at least the immediately upcoming bus was comfy this morning #and also Rubie is back in business #hazard to my lungs tho she may be at least she doesn't carry nicotine #that's one of many addiction roads I definitely want to avoid going down. among like. literally everything else #1 chemical crutch is all I need to depend upon #also as fussy as he was towards the end the work baby was very cute and silly and cuddly today so that was nice #and I do enjoy the dark #lmao I can feel the dab kicking in

it's not even social mind games I just get lunch paid in exchange of unofficial tutoring (which half the time means I talk to people about like. Descartes or Dante's Inferno)

#I'm paying my lunch in infodumps about great literature or philosphers essentially. It only works when a test is coming up though #I used to do the same with architecture* hw because Im very good at blueprints and would do my class's own hw for 2 euros a drawing #which was enough for a focaccia at the school bar #[.asks]#anonymous #im not in any like. need of money but my parents refuse to ever pay for my lunches that aren't made with at-home ingredients #so. you know. At times I'd rather have udon than a moldy vegetable pie -> tutoring paid with lunch #I'll have to figure it out next year because the convent monastery thing im going to just covers dinner so #either I get a secret job to pay for my uni lunches and breakfasts or. Idk get friends that pay for my food?

a word of unsolicited advice....don't do two masters programs and two jobs all at the same time, bad idea

#at least not if you don't live with family or a partner that helps support you a lot with domestic affairs #this shit would be so much more manageable if i still lived at home. or even in a dorm on campus #and didn't have to worry about bills and groceries and cooking and cleaning everything all by myself every day...#i'm not really failing at anything at the moment. but i do really feel like i'm struggling to keep up with it all #and that i should be doing a better job. or at least that things should be easier. that i shouldn't feel so lost #or have to ask so many questions still #or feel so bad when there's food in the cupboard but i'm so exhausted and poorly planned my energy and time etc #that i end up ordering delivery once or twice a week just to keep myself fee after rehearsals. idk man #this would be so much easier if my dad still did the laundry and my mom always made me dinner...#i miss not being in charge of everything myself. it's a whole lot. it's more than i bargained for #but the only people i'm really comfortable enough with asking for that level of help and care from live two states away.....sigh #well. gotta write a paper tomorrow. and go to work at 6pm. and try to dig further in on assigned hw readings. wish me luck ig #i wanna talk about me

My shift today consisted entirely of pure conversation for the whole three hours 😂 My supervisor and I get talking and then we can't stop lol

We went from talking about sicknesses to the Catholic church to how churches should be operating to doubts and where people stand in their faith like soenkenwksn that went on for three hours. He did give me some recommendations for over the counter stuff my grandma and I can take for covid and even invited us to the church he goes to (and preaches at) if we want to go

I genuinely feel like God put me in the right place at the right time. Sometimes you just need a person to give you some encouragement or a push in the right direction. We haven't been happy with most of the churches we've been to, so maybe this will be a blessing for us

Came for a job, left with Biblical education 😂 I'm gonna have a stacked resume after I'm finished with college
