Why do I still think Elise is my soulmate?

I can't turn it off. This isn't transference. This isn't obsession. This isn't some pathetic longing and idealization of her.

I've thought long and hard about it. I don't idealized her. Why? She's a mom. She has been Mia. When she did talk to me she didn't give me much of her time. I know if she was ever my girl, she would be busy. Her kids would always come first rightfully so and I'd never have an issue with it. I know that would mean she would only be able to spend limited time with me. She would have to cancel somewhat frequently. All that would have to happen is one of her kids has a stuffy nose. The school called one got sick or has lice. She can't make it to my party cause she had the kids this weekend. She was supposed to come over but her ex husband got sick and the girls had to stay at her house this weekend. I mean I can't idealize someone like that. I fully accept if she was ever my girl she would be absent to a certain degree until I met the girls they liked me and we eased me into the family slowly. I can't idealize you Elise. I want you to know that. If you were ever mine I expect your kids and your job to trump me. I expect limited time. And a lot of cancelations. I truly do not love the idealized version of you I created in my head. This is the version of you that lives in my head. You canceling and be unable to make things. It being a regular occurrence.. okay so now that that's out of the way.

Let's go into transference. We haven't been therapist/client in over a year... to be honest with you okay I found you attractive since day one. Feelings however Took time. I did have feeling for you when I was with Katie. I believe they developed around the last year before that it was attraction and a desire to know you personally as a friend.. the feelings I had for you when it could have been transference were there but were not deeply felt bc of the relationship we had. I felt them but I was able to turn them off. They existed but for the duration of our therapeutic relationship, they were basically blunted as I could not let it interfere with the relationship we had. Then we became not therapist and client, and everything that happened led to those feelings becoming very deep. By the time you asked me, "do you think someone can fall in love with someone over web cam?," I was in love with you. By June I was so in love with you I couldn't turn it off which is why things got weird... this rules out transference on my end for a reason.

Okay now let's go into obsession, obsession is defined as, "When someone is obsessed, they've lost control of their feelings about the object of their obsession. The adjective obsessed is often used to simply mean "very interested," but when someone is truly obsessed, their interest has become compulsive, and they've begun to lose control over it."

Or, obsessive love is defined as:

"1) Overwhelming attraction to one person.

2) Possessive thoughts and actions.

3) Intense preoccupation with a relationship.

4) Threatening the other person if they leave.

5) Extreme jealousy.

6) Repeated messaging via text, email, or phone calls.

7) Monitoring the other person's actions."

1) If we go over obsessive love for all intents and purposes, I wouldn't call my attraction to you overwhelming. I think you're the most beautiful woman I have ever seen... however, I find many other people attractive and if I could get any of them to swipe right on me and talk to me I'd move on and stop thinking about you romantically. I'd still think you're beautiful but it would turn off. For me attraction has facets, looks and personality.. personality is very important and I know your personality and that makes you even more beautiful than your outside appearance. Idk any other woman who I find attractive that I know as a person.

2) possessive thoughts and actions? That's laughable. I don't own you. I don't even get to know you. If you were ever my girl, I'd "let" you hang out with either of your ex husbands alone all hours of the night. I'd be okay with it which is why I put let in quotation marks. You're not mine and even if you were my girl you'd never be, "mine." Women are not possession. People are not possessions. You could be mine and do you. Hang out with whoever you want. Do whatever you want. I wouldn't be allowing you. I'd be okay with it bc I trust you.

3) preoccupation with the relationship-okay I can't say I'm not preoccupied with the idea of knowing you. We met eyes Elise. There was something special there and yea, I want to find out you genuinely meant everything you said.. until I get closure or meet someone else I'm going to be somewhat preoccupied with this relationship that doesn't exist.

4) threatening the person if they leave- I don't need to write anything here. I didn't threaten you ever and I never would. I want you to be happy if we were ever together and you weren't happy I'd want you to leave me so you could be happy. I mean that genuinely.

5) extreme jealously- I'm not even jealous that I'd have to spend time with your husband... I would play on xbox live with him and get to know him. I'd break bread with him. I want you to be happy that's all I care about.

6) repeated emails/texts/etc: okay I emailed you twice. Once at 6 months, once at a year, no texts. No phone calls. I messaged you on Instagram bc I wanted to reach out to you socially. You couldn't even get a harassment case on me with the amount of times I messaged you tbh. Not that you'd do that but my point is I reached out a normal amount of times considering the circumstances. If for example we talked socially and you said I don't want to talk to you ever again, I'd ask why, and I'd ask to talk it out and then bounce out of your life. Even if you were rude and didn't provide much of an answer.

7) monitoring the person's actions: okay I watched your Instagram as a ray of hope. I did look at your fb. I'm not going to tread and lie. This is an honesty post here. Why did I do those things? I thought you had feelings for me and you were going to show up for me. Your Instagram was a ray of hope, sunshine in my dark life to be able to see through your eyes. Also I have psychosis and I convinced myself we were empaths bc your Instagram and my tumblr aligned... I decided it was coincidental and to be fair, there were a lot of them but- when I originally followed you on Instagram. I did it to support you. I did it to stay connected to you. Then the coincidences started to happen and I developed psychosis. Forgive me for this one. There will never be any more coincidences considering you blocked my Instagram and I don't watch your social media pages. Sometimes I look you up, why?

I look into your eyes and remind myself you're professionally constrained. I remind myself that I think the girl across that Webcam meant what she said.

So I went over all the things that could explain my preoccupation with you.

The only real answer here is I'm in love with you. I fell in love with the girl across the Webcam. It's not obsession. It's not transference. It's not idealization..

It's true love. Of course it's unrequited. That's okay bc I want your happiness. Even if you'll only ever be happy without me in your life.

on creativity and grief

I haven’t shared a single personal thing on the internet in forever but I need to share some stuff so I don’t have to hold it inside anymore. Content warnings for death, miscarriage & sexual assault

I was a working musician for a long while; it was my dream to be able to have most of my income come in from my music, and it totally happened, and it did not at all make me feel the way I wanted to feel. It’s been confusing. This is the first dance/electronic music project I’ve ever done, despite wanting to for the better part of the past decade. Most of what I did in the BC (Before Covid) era was work as a lounge singer/pianist in gay or gay friendly spaces. It was a blast and I truly miss it.

I was groped by a drunk dude at a gig in early 2017, (not the first time, ha) literally right before I went on stage, and it sort of broke something in me. I wondered why I’d gone to any trouble to even leave the house for a show I was doing for free. and so I stopped wanting to perform, or even to exist in public. I laid back and worked on a bunch of other stuff and then endured a bunch of horrific life shit starting at the end of 2018 until 2019 including a major loss of a very important family member.

I really had never allowed myself to just be a “fan” of something until I became a part of the Star Trek community. It had always felt like a waste of time; like I should be sitting here making stuff 24/7 instead of ever just relaxing and enjoying a damn thing. Wow was I really wrong about that. I have really learned so much about the creative process in just enjoying the work that other people are doing, especially taking a moment to tell someone when I really appreciate or like something that I see.

I had a friend who I knew from online; their name was Jac. I’ve avoided talking about this anywhere because I felt weird about talking about someone’s death in conjunction with the creative process, but Jac was also an artist and I feel they would have understood this. We were friends in a few online groups and they were a really wonderful magical sparkly person; Jac called themselves a “mermaid” most of the time and they were constantly posting photos of themselves in gorgeous iridescent clothing and makeup. We were supposed to meet up at one point, and we never got to.

In 2019 I worked on a live jazz album with my spouse and a few good music friends. I didn’t really have a plan for it so much as I’ve pretty much released music consistently since 2007 and felt a bit weird not doing it. After the horribleness of that year it felt really good to go into the studio and perform it live and have it sound decent! I had no “promotion” plan or anything so much as just posting it on my main and sharing it with a few friends.

Jac at the time was pregnant with their first baby, a baby who was very much wanted as they had suffered a miscarriage the year before. I remember them telling me very excitedly in a message and I was really happy for them. Cut to December 2019, I “released” this album and my goodness, Jac loved it. They messaged me about it several times, just saying how much they loved it and enjoyed it. It made me really happy to think about Jac listening to the record with their baby in utero (I know babies can hear things in there and I think about it all the time). I continued to do nothing with the album because I was too depressed to do anything other than exist, but it made me very happy to know that one of my friends really enjoyed what I did.

In February 2020 I logged onto facebook and saw a desperate post from Jac’s husband; Jac had died instantly, of what I’m not even sure, and their baby was fighting for her life in the NICU. Jac’s baby passed away a few days later and it was one of the most devastating things I’ve witnessed, even as someone who didn’t know them very well. I could not stop thinking about them, how sparkly and magical they were and how much they wanted to have their first baby, and how fucking unfair it all was, really. I was and still am so furious that this wonderful lovely person is just gone, just like that. Then of course kicked off the massive waves of death from Covid that we’ve all been going through, and it just was all so much to think about.

From Jac, I learned the true lesson of what it means to touch one person with your art. It is so humbling to realize, to take a step back from social media and numbers and likes and statistics, and to think really deeply about what it means to touch one person’s life. The only thing that has given me comfort in processing Jac’s death is to know that they were happy, looking forward to something, and that my art was a part of that. Jac listened to something I did and it made them happy. Everything else doesn’t fucking matter. Many artists talk about being a part of the sacred, the divine, I feel this deeply, especially when it comes to inspiration and how it visits us. I just really needed somewhere to talk about Jac. I wish they were here and that they could hear what I’ve been working on. I think - no, actually I know - that Jac would absolutely love this. So you may see Jac’s name here and there. And that’s who they were. And I just needed to talk about it, because I think about Jac as I’m creating, constantly.

Grief is a major touchstone of this project, as I think grief is the only emotion that allows us to really be (acutely, painfully) aware of the non linear nature of time, in my opinion (and in the opinion of most physicists) the true nature of time. I think our story is ultimately uplifting, but with the amount of grief I’ve been processing for the past three years, it is interesting to me to see the way that grief has affected every part of my creative process. Anyways. I don’t know or really care if anyone reads this but I felt like people on tumblr would understand the situation of mourning a friend you only knew through the internet. sungjin had to basically pull you away from jae bc wonpil just stood there admiring how protective you were of him, not doing anything

during breaks in between song the boys won’t stop teasing you and dowoon about it despite wonpil’s failed attempts at making them stop

the boys will usually leave the both of you in the practice room to have “some time alone” but they have their ears against the door, they’re such nosy hyungs

dowoon would apologise for his hyungs once again and opens his arms wide for you

he’ll hug you really tight, pat your head and kiss you on the forehead

will try and teach you how to play the drums

he’ll giggle at how hard you try to coordinate you hand and legs but will praise you anyways

Audra McDonald

Audra Ann McDonald (born July 3, 1970) is an American actress and singer. She has appeared on the stage in both musicals and dramas such as Ragtime, A Raisin in the Sun and Porgy and Bess. With her full lyric soprano voice, she maintains an active concert and recording career performing song cycles and operas as well as in concerts throughout the U.S. She has won six Tony Awards, more performance wins than any other actor, and is the only person to win all four acting categories. She starred as Dr. Naomi Bennett on the ABC television drama Private Practice.

Early life and education

McDonald was born in West Berlin, Germany, the daughter of American parents, Anna Kathryn, a university administrator, and Stanley McDonald, Jr., a high school principal. At the time of her birth, her father was stationed with the U.S. Army. McDonald was raised in Fresno, California, the elder of two daughters. McDonald graduated from the Roosevelt School of the Arts program within Theodore Roosevelt High School in Fresno. She got her start in acting with Dan Pessano and Good Company Players, beginning in their junior company. "I knew I wanted to be involved in theater when I had my first chance to perform with the Good Company Players Junior Company." "The people who have had the most impact on my life: Good Company director Dan Pessano and my mother." She studied classical voice as an undergraduate under Ellen Faull at the Juilliard School, graduating in 1993.

Career

McDonald was a three-time Tony Award winner by age 28 for her performances in Carousel, Master Class, and Ragtime, placing her alongside Shirley Booth, Gwen Verdon and Zero Mostel by accomplishing this feat within five years. She was nominated for another Tony Award for her performance in Marie Christine before she won her fourth in 2004 for her role in A Raisin in the Sun, placing her in the company of then four-time winning actress Angela Lansbury. She reprised her Raisin role for a 2008 television adaptation, earning her a second Emmy Award nomination. On June 10, 2012, McDonald scored her fifth Tony Award win for her portrayal of Bess in Broadway's The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, thus tying Angela Lansbury and Julie Harris. Her 2014 performance as Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill earned McDonald her sixth Tony award and made her the first person to win all four acting categories.

McDonald appeared as Lizzie in the Roundabout Theatre Company's 2007 revival of 110 in the Shade, directed by Lonny Price at Studio 54, for which she shared the Drama Desk Award for Best Actress in a Musical with Donna Murphy. On April 29, 2007, while she was in previews for the show, her father was killed when an experimental aircraft he was flying crashed north of Sacramento, California.

McDonald is known for defying racial typecasting in her various Tony Award-winning and -nominated roles. Her performances as Carrie Pipperidge in Nicholas Hytner's 1996 revival of Carousel and Lizzie Curry in Lonny Price's 2007 revival of 110 in the Shade made her the first black woman to portray those (traditionally white) roles in a major Broadway production. Of her groundbreaking work in encouraging diversity in musical theatre casting, she said in an interview for The New York Times, "I refuse to be stereotyped. If I think I am right for a role I will go for it in whatever way I can. I refuse to say no to myself. I can't control what a producer will do or say but I can at least put myself out there." In a 'Talk of the Nation' interview on NPR, Asian-American actor Thom Sesma said McDonald's performance in Carousel "transcended any kind of type at all", proving her to be "more actress than African-American."

McDonald appeared in a revised version of Porgy and Bess, at the American Repertory Theatre (in Cambridge, Massachusetts) from August through September 2011, and recreated the role on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, which opened on January 12, 2012 and closed on September 23, 2012. For this role, McDonald won her fifth Tony Award and her first in a Leading Actress category. This American Repertory Theater production was "re-imagined by Suzan-Lori Parks and Diedre Murray as a musical for contemporary audiences."

She appeared at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Williamstown, Massachusetts, in Eugene O'Neill's play A Moon for the Misbegotten in August 2015, co-starring with her husband Will Swenson.

In 2016, McDonald starred on Broadway as the vaudeville performer Lottie Gee in a new musical titled Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed about the making of the 1921 musical Shuffle Along. McDonald left the show on July 24, 2016 to begin maternity leave. Shuffle Along closed on July 24, 2016.

Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill

McDonald played Billie Holiday on Broadway in the play Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill in a limited engagement that ended on August 10, 2014. After previews that began on March 25, 2014, the play opened at the Circle in the Square Theatre on April 13, 2014. Of the play, McDonald said in an interview:

It's about a woman trying to get through a concert performance, which I know something about, and she's doing it at a time when her liver was pickled and she was still doing heroin regularly...I might have been a little judgmental about Billie Holiday early on in my life, but what I’ve come to admire most about her – and what is fascinating in this show – is that there is never any self-pity. She's almost laughing at how horrible her life has been. I don’t think she sees herself as a victim. And she feels an incredible connection to her music – she can’t sing a song if she doesn’t have some emotional connection to it, which I really understand.

McDonald won the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play for this role, making her the first person to earn six Tony Award wins for acting (not counting honorary awards) and the first person to win a Tony Award in all four acting categories. In her acceptance speech, "she thanked her parents for encouraging her to pursue her interests as a child." She also thanked the "strong and brave and courageous" African-American women who came before her, saying in part, "I am standing on Lena Horne's shoulders. I am standing on Maya Angelou's shoulders. I am standing on Diahann Carroll and Ruby Dee, and most of all, Billie Holiday. You deserved so much more than you were given when you were on this planet. This is for you, Billie." This performance was filmed at Cafe Brasil in New Orleans and broadcast on HBO on March 12, 2016. McDonald received a 2016 Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her role in the broadcast.

McDonald had planned to make her West End debut as Holiday in Lady Day in June through September 2016, but after becoming pregnant she postponed these plans. She will perform in Lady Day in June 2017 through September 9, 2017 at the Wyndham’s Theatre in the West End.

Recordings and concerts

McDonald has maintained ties to her classical training and repertoire. She frequently performs in concert throughout the U.S. and has performed with musical organizations such as the New York Philharmonic and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Carnegie Hall commissioned the song cycle The Seven Deadly Sins: A Song Cycle for McDonald, and she performed it at Carnegie's Zankel Hall on June 2, 2004. She sang two solo one-act operas at the Houston Grand Opera in March 2006: Francis Poulenc's La voix humaine and the world premiere of Michael John LaChiusa's Send (who are you? I love you). On February 10, 2007, McDonald starred with Patti LuPone in the Los Angeles Opera production of Kurt Weill's opera Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny directed by John Doyle. The recording of this production of Mahagonny won two Grammy Awards, for Best Opera Recording and Best Classical Album in February 2009.

In September 2008, American composer Michael John LaChiusa was quoted in Opera News Online, as working on an adaptation of Bizet's Carmen with McDonald in mind.

McDonald has recorded five solo albums for Nonesuch Records. Her first, the 1998 Way Back to Paradise, featured songs written by a new generation of musical theatre composers who had achieved varying degrees of prominence in the 1990s, particularly LaChiusa, Adam Guettel and Jason Robert Brown.

Her next album, How Glory Goes (2000), combined both old and new works, and included composers Harold Arlen, Leonard Bernstein and Jerome Kern. Her third album, Happy Songs (2002), was big band music from the 1920s through the 1940s. Her fourth album, Build a Bridge (2006), features songs from jazz and pop.

In May 2013, Audra McDonald released her first solo album in seven years, Go Back Home, with a title track from the Kander & Ebb musical The Scottsboro Boys. To coincide with the album's release, McDonald performed a concert at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City that aired on the PBS series Live from Lincoln Center titled Audra McDonald In Concert: Go Back Home.

At the 2010 BCS National Championship Game on January 7, McDonald sang America the Beautiful for the sold-out stadium fans to celebrate the final game of the college football season.

In May 2000, Audra McDonald appeared as "The Beggar Woman" in Lonny Price's concert version of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, performed at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, New York, with the New York Philharmonic with George Hearn and Patti LuPone. She reprised the role in some performances of the March 2014 Lincoln Center concert production, again directed by Price, this time opposite Bryn Terfel and Emma Thompson. She performed three concerts, titled "Audra McDonald Sings Broadway", in the Sydney Opera House in November 2015, which also included "The Facebook Song" by Kate Miller-Heidke.

Television and film

McDonald has also made many television appearances, both musical and dramatic. In 2001, she received her first Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for the HBO film Wit, starring Emma Thompson and directed by Mike Nichols. She also has appeared on Homicide: Life on the Street (1999), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2000), Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years (1999), the short-lived Mister Sterling (2003), The Bedford Diaries (2006), and Kidnapped (2006–2007), and in the 1999 television remake of Annie as Daddy Warbucks' secretary & soon-to-be wife, Miss Farrell. She sang with the New York Philharmonic in the annual New Year's Eve gala concert on December 31, 2006, featuring music from the movies; it was televised on Live from Lincoln Center by PBS. In 2013, she appeared in the HBO documentary Six by Sondheim.

McDonald appeared as Naomi Bennett in Private Practice, a spinoff of Grey's Anatomy. She replaced Merrin Dungey, who played the role in the series pilot. McDonald left Private Practice at the end of season four, but returned for the series finale at the end of season six to bring closure to Naomi's storyline.

In films, McDonald has appeared in Beauty and the Beast (2017), Ricki and the Flash (2015), Best Thief in the World (2004), It Runs in the Family (2003), Cradle Will Rock (1999), The Object of My Affection (1998), and Seven Servants by Daryush Shokof which was her film acting debut in (1996).

McDonald played Mother Abbess in the 2013 NBC live television production of The Sound of Music Live!.

Since 2012, McDonald has served as host for the PBS series Live From Lincoln Center, for which she shared an Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class Program with the show's producers.

Personal life

McDonald married bassist Peter Donovan in September 2000. They have one daughter, Zoe Madeline Donovan, named after McDonald's close friend and Master Class co-star Zoe Caldwell. McDonald and Donovan divorced in 2009. She married Will Swenson on October 6, 2012. On October 19, 2016, they became parents to a girl, Sally James McDonald-Swenson.

McDonald attended Joan Rivers' funeral in New York on September 7, 2014, where she sang "Smile".

McDonald lives in Croton-on-Hudson, New York.

Late night ramblings:

I hate hanging out at my sister’s house bc it feels like it always plays out in the same boring way: we get there for some meal, the girls immediately want to go outside to play with neighborhood friends afterward and then it just turns into hanging out in the driveway watching her and her husband talk to their neighbors who I don’t really give a shit about and I’m just sitting there bored and feeling awkward bc I literally have nothing to say to them. Or if the adults in the neighborhood aren’t out they’ll sit out there for 30 mins with us then just abandon us to watch the kids while they go inside to hang out by themselves and my mom never says anything about it so I feel like I’m the only one taking that kind of personally. Or if we for some reason don’t all go outside it still ends up that after the bare minimum time spent with us they quietly disappear into their bedroom and literally close the door to hang out by themselves and we’re just supposed to play with the girls alone. The only time I feel like we’re all together is if we’re watching tv but I don’t understand why we can’t do anything fun like play a game or something. Then I just get pissed off and want to leave the whole time but my mom insists on staying for hours even tho it feels like a huge waste of time. I’d rather be bored at home. We were there for literally 8 hours and didn’t do a damn thing other than sit outside watching the girls play while they were inside basically ignoring us. And it was Mother’s Day so I feel like they could’ve put more effort into trying to play a game as a family or something but whatever.

The fact that this happens exactly the same way every single time makes me hate hanging out with my own family and I don’t like feeling like that but it feels like literally nothing is ever going to change. I can’t tell my mom to go over there without me bc that’ll just make everyone mad at me and then I’ll be the bad guy. I’ve already tried a couple of times just staying home during like 1 small event and it feels like it gets turned into a huge deal and I’m suddenly the worst person ever for wanting a tiny bit of time to myself. Like a couple of years ago during thanksgiving I decided to leave a little bit early to go home (after being there for literally 8 hours again and luckily I had my own car with me for once) and relax a bit before my mom and aunt and uncle came home after me bc my aunt is a giant pain in the butt to deal with and literally everyone looked at me like I was insane for leaving. My aunt was snippy and dramatic after they got home and my mom got all huffy and threw a ridiculous fit over some stupid thing and it was all just because I decided to leave 1 hour earlier than usual. Then when my aunt visits I try to send them off to do shopping by themselves and every time they act really fucking dramatic that I don’t want to go watch them try on clothes for 6 hours. Like why is it so important that I’m there when you aren’t even really including me in anything or making anything fun? But then my mom never says anything about my sister locking herself away in her bedroom and treating us like free babysitting every time we go over so it feels unfair that me trying to carve out a tiny sliver of time to myself is such a horrible thing to do.

I’ve just reached a breaking point after being stuck in a small house with my mother 24/7 last year bc of the pandemic. She works from home now and I lost my job and was avoiding applying anywhere so I wouldn’t catch COVID and give it to her. But now that we’re both fully vaccinated I’m ready to just find whatever I can take and get out of the house for a few hours a day, especially since my mom still isn’t going back to the office for the foreseeable future. And I’m honestly ready to move out to my own apartment and start trying to live my own life bc I feel so constricted by this expectation my family has that I be constantly available even tho we literally never do anything and I feel suffocated by the boredom. I’ve been daydreaming about moving to another state to get away from them for a while. I’ve never even lived on my own tho so I feel like that is drastic but then it feels like even if I get my own apartment here I’m still going to be expected to drop everything to hang out all the time or they’ll constantly find a way to have the girls sleepover at my apartment every other weekend. Then I tell myself to calm down, take it one step at a time. Get a job here first, get an apartment, live on my own for like a year, then start exploring ways to move to another state if I’m still miserable. And I’m so anxiety-riddled with the mere thought of having to apply for jobs and do interviews that it’s ridiculous I think I can move to a whole new state out of the blue. I need to start with a job.

I really needed to type all that out somewhere.

i dont really have any specific characters i like that aren’t mine so i will answer these for me, and for my babies farren greene (my beautiful drifty uncle dad character) and rory bc we are collectively the trifecta of cute

1. my favourite foods are pasta, shepherd’s pie and literally any watermelon hard candy, personally. greene lives entirely off of dried fruit and tea (someone please teach this man how to cook), and rory’s entire diet consists of coffee. how is he alive? we don’t know.

2. i can cook anything boxed! could i cook more things? probably, but turns out depression is a bitch so i never really have the energy for it dfjhgdf. greene can cook anything that’s breakfast, and rory would actually be good at cooking if, like, he wasn’t stuck in robot hell 24/7

3. i can mess up a kitchen in an instant. do not doubt me. greene is the messiest possible person and has broken many glass jars and tea cups during his attempts at cooking, and rory accidentally lit a portion of his apartment building on fire but, thankfully, the maintenance crew wasn’t too mad about it. nobody’s really asked.

4. god okay. i’d like. buy some actually nice clothes, a new binder (i lost my Good Binder and my backup is unsafe to wear so i guess im ??? not leaving the house ever again until i find it / can replace my good one), maybe some like ???? nice new tea?? im so tired of earl grey skjdfhgdg i drink so much of it it just kinda tastes like dirt now. i’d really like more house plants since my mom kills all of mine which is sad and just gosh i’d love to get something nice and new and pretty!!

greene just wants more guns. what do you mean he already has 15 guns and getting more is unreasonable? it’s a scary world out there.

rory would spend all of this theoretical fortune on his friends because they’re THE CUTEST and thEY DESERVE THE WORLD

5. i only get $200 to spend like, once a year from my dad and that’s all the money i physically get to own. so like, i budget what i’m getting with it the whole next year in advance. it’s usually dropped on new clothes and smaller things like boxers/socks since i never get those normally, and after the necessities (pants, socks, last winter i had to buy my own winter coat bc i straight up didnt have one and my mom refused, stuff like that), its like. tea cups, posters, etc and fun things.

greene’s money goes towards medical stuff first, and then the rest is literally whatever. his priorities are so broken dfghdfg

rory would be like. rent > his robot maintenance > food

6. i want to drown in plushies and day trips to cities in other states thats the dream. greene would pour so much into tea, and rory cares more about keeping his computer / bots up to date than he does himself. he just be like that.

uMMMM YES!! I love domestic!Peter!!!!

Alright so peter would have a table by the door where he had to put everything once he came home at night(so he didn’t lose his keys every single day) Peter would come home at different times every night because sometimes he’d come straight home from his job at Stark Industries, but often he’d take the time for a walk through your neighborhood to be the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, who had grown so much in maturity since high school.

Peter would always breathe a sigh of relief upon entering the door, and sometimes he’d see you sitting on the couch with a book, or watching tv, or typing away at your computer, other times, he’d know to be extra quiet, because you were most likely asleep.

You didn’t like sleeping without Peter, but with his schedule it was a necessary skill and the two of you knew that it was for the greater good. You worried, but Peter always came home without fail.

So Peter would take off the suit and put it away, and would pull on some boxers and climb into bed with you, which was always his favorite part of the day.

Don’t think about the cute pictures in frames all around the house of you two, and all of your family and friends smiling, or the DIY spider-man tie-blanket you made him for Christmas the Christmas after he told you his secret that he keeps on the bed year after year.

You and Peter would have a routine of waking up every morning, and talking for as long as possible before you had to leave the bed for one reason of another. If he got home late the night before, you’d catch up on how each other’s days.

Peter would probably be the type to run out for breakfast on Saturdays even if it was just from a drive through, or rolls from the corner shop or take-out. And the two of you would sit around in your pajamas and talk, and don’t tell me your apartment wouldn’t have a balcony with a little table with two chairs where you guys would sit when the weather was nice, with a radio always turned to the pop-music station, and you two may or may not have to turn it up, and go back inside, leaving the screen door open so you can hear the music to dance. And when a slow song comes on the radio, do not think about how quickly peter would grab your hand and probably press a kiss to your knuckles and say: “can I have this dance?”

Having a chore chart that never gets followed on the side of the fridge surrounded by magnets with cheesy jokes on them.

Peter is now a full time superhero technically, so he’s on call, which sucks. But he’s around so often and it means you really don’t have to work much unless you want to because being on Mr. “dad” Stark’s payroll is not a bad place to be.

Peter would like being the little spoon don’t @ me please!!!

He would want a pet so bad but you both knew that you were going to be able to adequately care for a pet with your chaotic schedules, so you settles for a fish. The fish may or not be named Einstein.

Movie nights with Ned, MJ and Flash (sometimes) as often as possible now that you guys are all in college and doing your own things.

Peter always pointing at ugly decorations while the Twix of you are shopping together and just say “we need that. Einstein would love that,”

“Peter, that will not be entering my house”

“Oh, so it’s your house now? I think Einstein would object-“

“Why do I like you, Peter, please tell me where I went so, so wrong,”

“Because I’m charming, funny, sweet, and cute, and fit,”

“Wow, all that and humble too” “You can’t tell me I’m not fit,”

And you couldn’t bc ever since senior year, Peter has been training hard and it looks hot as hell 24/7 and he is aware of that fact.

Don’t think about how peter probably would set you in the counter in the kitchen or bathroom when you made out.

Doing dishes and having fights with the soap bubbles or making food and tossing around ingredients a little too much (which lets be real you guys just order take out).

Peter loves 0 things more than coming home to you every day wow I love this when do I get boyfriend! or even better husband!peter!?!?

Okay I saw This and went "Let's Do This"

This is for Logicality bc bitch ya'll know I love them too much (Human AU bc otherwise that wouldn't make sense)

1. Acts like they're dying when they have a cold; Logan. He's most definitely the type to go "why am I stricken with such awful bodily functions? Oh, what am I to do??" and is just,,, super worried since he n e v e r gets sick.

2. Gets mad at the TV and throws the remote: Logan. His temper when there's a falsehood stated in the news is just... unrivaled. Logan is now only allowed to view the news on his phone, with one of those indestructible cases.

3. Gets the worst road rage: Logan. Again, he hates idiots who can't drive for shit and his patience is as thin as paper as it is. He's had a hard day of work and now he has this shit to deal with??

4. Spends too much time in the bathroom on their phone: Patton. Once he was in there for two hours binging The Office. Logan had to pick the lock to get him out.

5. Packs the whole closet for an overnight trip: Logan. It's not so much anxiety as it is "well, fuck, who knows?" and he can't resist Patton's puppy eyes.

6. Hates the In-Laws: Logan. He only sighed up to marry the love of his life, he did n o t sign up to deal with Patton's family. One Patton was enough.

7. Hits the snooze button... 11 times: Patton. Logan has become his new alarm clock with a kiss to his nose and breakfast, and that surely wakes him up.

8. Makes the other late for work: Patton. Oops, they got into another morning makeout session bc Pat didn't want to say goodbye to Logan and well,,, it works.

9. Uses the television as a babysitter: Logan. Has no fricken clue how to handle kids and when he's on his wits end he just shoves them in front of Barney and calls it a day.

10. Takes in the stray dog: Patton. You all know he's gonna see that poor, old dog on the streets, soaked in dirt and chilled to the bone and skinnier than he needs to be and just... looks around, then snatches him. Two days later he's fat as a pig and cuddling between the two and Logan is just... not surprised.

11. Suggests a 3 am trip to McDonalds: Patton. He does it just to mess with Logan and to hear him mumble, "I can't believe I actually love this cryptid..."

12. Leaves their shoes for the other to trip on: Logan. It's payback for the McDonalds.

13. Can't make up their mind when it comes to dinner: Patton. He thinks it all looks great, but their wallets disagree with buying everything so,, it's just very stressful for him.

14. Needs to be reminded of all their appointments: Patton. He always forgets and Logan is like a fricken computer, so he doesn't really need to remember anyway.

15. Bribes the other to do the chores, get out of the house... take a shower: Patton. Those puppy eyes and kisses get Logan every time, and tbh he doesn't really mind doing them anyway.

16. Picks the movies: Patton. He knows Logan enough so he won't do anything too drastic, but he also doesn't just let Logan pick bc he knows that if he did they'd watch documentaries on some boring shit. So he usually goes with horror movies with strong sci-fi themes so that they're both entertained and Patton can cuddle into his side when scared.

17. Takes the safety steps when building a fort: Logan. He doesn't want his husband to die somehow, and if they're going to build a fort, they're going to build a good fort.

18. Kisses the other's injuries better: Patton. He doesn't care that he's near blood and shit, he'll make sure Logan is happy and safe before anything else. He's just a sweet bab that doesn't really know what else to do ;;

19. Is addicted to mobile games: Patton. Logan has tried everything; parental locks, app security, and grounding him, but somehow he still manages to get on without Logan's noticing. It's strangely brilliant and Logan is a little impressed.

20. Kills the spiders: Logan. Patton cannot bring himself to be in the room, let alone actually hurt the poor creature. He's not that heartless towards the poor smol arachnids.

21. Hogs the blankets: Patton. Patton is constantly cold and wants all the blankets, and I mean,, Logan isn't complaining. That just gives him reason to snuggle up as close as possible.

22. Takes pranks too far: Logan. He doesn't exactly know how the art of pranking works, so he just sort of,,, takes it a bit too far and overly complicated. That's why he never pranks.

23. Makes the dirty jokes: P A T T O N. I cannot stress just how many jokes Patton makes just to make Logan start coughing wildly and check his ears to see if he heard right. He loves making Logan flustered and he'll be damned that it's funny when Logan tries to explain that Patton has made these jokes a lot and no one believes him. Patton makes up for it with some kisses tho.

24. Keeps a piggy bank: Logan. He likes keeping all the money made from precious memories in the piggy bank to remind him of Patton, since it's so childlike and adorable.

25. Has no problem having ice cream for breakfast: Patton. Doesn't give a shit. Logan will tell him that's unhealthy just as Patton goes to finish another tub.

26. Gets a tattoo when they're drunk: Logan. He went to a co-worker party and, when one of his more annoying co-workers dared him to down a bottle of whiskey, he just couldn't refuse. So now he's waiting on the curb for a bus home when he spots a tattoo parlor and, in his drunk mind, decides it's a good idea to get Patton's name on his neck in nice letters. It turns out surprisingly okay and when Patton found it that morning, he almost cried of happiness and anger because HOW MUCH DID THAT COST WERE DID YOU GET IT WHAT HAPPENED--

27. Trips over their own feet: Patton. One time Logan caught him princess style, all suave and shit, and Patton made a pun so Logan dropped him. It was a nice memory.

28. Makes the other go on a walk: Logan. He's very restless after work and, when Patton gets home, he'll walk with Patton to catch up and calm down. Patton doesn't really mind, he thinks it's cute as hell.

29. Whines until they get what they want: Patton. Patton will most certainly beg and scream like a little child, especially when Logan is being stubborn. Which is every time. Logan usually shuts him up with a kiss and begrudgingly agrees.

30. Tries to act tough but really isn't: Logan. He's a big softy, but doesn't really know how to show that since he's never really been romantically involved before Patton, so this is all new to him and he built up a few walls. Patton quickly knocked them down with kindness though.
