Gonna post an old Final Fantasy Tactics Advance fic to AO3 later....something I wrote all the way back in 2011....my Fic-o-Doom(TM).

#It's old #and has healing-dick #but I wrote over 37k worth of words in under two months for a Big Bang challenge #while i was in school and working retail bs full time #and I lost so much sleep over it and I'm proud of it damn it #it's mostly centered around OCs (what else is new)#but it needs to be archived *somewhere* since I deleted my FF.net fics #(and the Y!Gallery ver was lost in the BS that happened with that site)#and this is what ao3 is for sooooo....#(I'm planning on re-writing it but I'm gonna leave the old ver up)

another reason why I despise ML Salt and their stories is often they belittle Adrien for not being strong enough to get himself out of his own abusive circumstances

obviously different people say different things and you can support something existing while still complaining about things not being to your taste as long as you don't comment it on actual creationssss

but sometimes it does get mentally chaotic seeing posts saying you should be allowed to write whatever you want and bad art is okay etc etc and then i scroll down a little more to see people having incredibly high expectations for things that people make for fun and for free in fandom spaces and it's like...

i think there is a gap between seeing our tumblr peers tm as people and creatives having fun, but ourselves as consumers expecting perfect content. you are demanding perfection from those same people you claim to want to support.

#txt #i really wish fanfic dot net weren't dying because lowkey.#although the etiquette over there is abysmal i kinda feel like the expectations for fics posted to ao3 is weirdly high #obviously i have my own personal standards but it really does get on my nerves sometimes #to see such a clash between 'uwu two cakes theory!!!' posting and then 'god this trope in fic/this art style/this vidding style #etc etc is sooooo annoying/tired/overdone/bad/ETC'#again it's not always from the same people and we do contain multitudes or whatever i am sure im hypocritical too and #there are things that do deserve discussion and you can have your own preferences as long as you don't make it a creator's problem #and to be okay posting the things you make publicly anywhere you need to understand there #will be people coming at it from both angles i am just #mostly confused about how prevalent those clashy mindsets are within the same spheres i guess #support creators and reblog things etc but only if they're not being cringe haha #and what is cringe changes depending on the month instead of being grateful people are making things at all #as usual i need to remove myself from caring and start creating things #rather than scrolling through so much of these discussions i forget that oh right making things #is supposed to be fun actually and that's what outweighs those negatives #but alas i am here #making nothing and wishing fandom felt more like a community the way it used to for me #instead of finding ways to cultivate that myself lmao #at least having minimal free time excludes me from the content mill grind for now : )

if something tho, i have gotten better about writing just to share with one person and just enjoying creating that way so. thats very nice

#especially since ngl seeing how badly my clicks have tanked on both sites kinda unmotivates me a lot so. being able to do this helps #like said i wrote almost 20k words last month but only got 12k posted on ao3. even less here #sooooo liiiiike. idk what this means going forward #it just feels very nice to have a writer friend who cares about what i do and who i can share stuff with and throw ideas around and whatnot #it just feels nice. i havent had that in a long time and its honestly motivating me a lot more than thinking about posting shit anywhere atm #i get to share and i get shared with and yeah. just posting in private feels so much nicer #it has little to do with the stuff i write too tbh so. yeah #idk where this post was going im eepy #the point is i wrote 2.3k words tonight and they are enjoyed where they should and it makes me happier than posting them so ✌️#if you dont get fics much from me anymore you know what happened lol #night is an absolute mess on main

on one hand i know that realistically omega wouldnt have much of a personality outside of what weil made him for because thats kind of part of the point of his dynamic with zero, how zero grew into a hero beyond what he was made for and how omega is incapable of doing that

but on the other hand: this world is mine to do with as i please and if i want omega to have a hint of Silly Funny disease i shall do it. this may or may not be because some of my first exposure to omega beyond the man on the internet cover of cannonball is of this one ao3 fic called finders keepers by @tyrantchimera where omega adopts aile and watching him slowly start to care about her more and more... it does things to me. maybe im just a sucker for the trope of the Big Bad getting attached to Some Kid but i love this fic so fucking much. gurl help. so much of my omega characterization is based on that fic alone
