ive been deep into the lore and shit for my oc Naielle and im drawing a big family portrait, which for the sake of them being there includes her brother-in-law Emile and his son Noa. which is fine and cool. good for them!

but then i like. looked at what i'd said about Emile? which is that while Naielle and her family are elves, with ~500yr lifespans, Emile is a human man. a human man in his mid-30s.

Naielle has never met Emile, because she left the country 19-20 yrs ago, when he was a teenager. he had, at that point, not met his future wife.

His wife who, incidentally, is like. 200yrs old? now within the scheme of things this puts them in a comparable age bracket, right. so its fine? but its also a little like. woah there. woooah.

thats not even to mention the fact that the context in which the two met - theyre both military officers - also has like. a dynamic. which is to say Aedelie is his superior in every possible metric. Aedelie is like. a fucking Major. I have Emile listed as a sergeant, which i'm going to upgrade to like, a Lieutenant or smth, but still. like man. the hell happened there

        it wasnt quite like earth ,, but it was still nice . being here with rung and introducing him to some customs from your world . and it had been a minute since you'd last gone on a picnic . air warm with a chill breeze rustling against the organic plants covering the ground . almost like grass ,, yet less itchy and more soft . not to mention the vibrant purple color . the sky was green ,, a contrast to the rest of the planets warm colored flora . almost reminding you of halloween in a way ,, with its greens ,, purples ,, and oranges . when was the last time you had celebrated halloween ? or been to a halloween party ? you couldnt even recall how long youve been aboard the lost light ,, with how much things have happened .

" this seems like a good spot ,," you muttered ,, setting the picnic basket and taking the blanket from rung . " its a sandwich . the outside is bread and inside is peanut butter and jelly . theres other kinds if you dont like that one ." you shrugged it off ,, biting into your own sandwich . rung examined it ,, lifting the top bread up a bit before putting it back down . he took a bite ,, letting out a hum at the taste . he's only had energon his whole life ,, or other versions of energon . there wasnt much of a flavor to it ,, but experiencing this was quite intriguing for him . it made him wonder what the other things youve brought along would taste like . would it taste sweet ,, like the sandwich he was eating ?

        you poured a cup of lemonade for him ,, holding it out so he can grab it . rung didnt waste a second ,, taking a small sip and taking in the different flavors . it made his 'tongue' tingle in a bizarre way ,, his eyes scrunching up . though the tang left and he was left with a sweet aftertaste . " too sour ?" you asked with a giggle ,, forgetting that sometimes lemonade doesnt suit everyone . " is that the word for it ? then yes ,, i suppose so ." rung set the drink down and continued to munch on his sandwich . you had already finished yours ,, munching on a couple of grapes that had been packed .

        " what are those ?" rung asked as he swallowed his bite ,, pointing towards the grapes in your fingers . " theyre grapes ,, a type of fruit . try one ,," you said and placed a plump grape into his open hand . " theyre not as sour as the lemonade ,, i promise ." he nodded ,, putting it in his mouth and chewing . it wasnt sour but its wasn't exactly sweet . the crunchiness soon turn into a mushy mess ,, swallowing the supposed grape . he soon finished his sandwich ,, and looked to where you laid on the blanket . " what are you doing now ?" he asked ,, setting down beside you . your hands found each other ,, entangling once more with each other . his hand warmed yours ,, a pleasant feeling with the breeze cooling your skin .

        " looking at the clouds and seeing what they look like ." you hummed ,, raising your free hand to point at one . " that one kinda looks like magnus's grumpy face ,," you snicker to yourself . rung nodded ,, smile placed lightly upon his lips . " that one sort of looks like those ,, what are they called ? ofu ?" he raised a brow in question . " its ufo ,, and yeah it does . what if it is ?" you looked over at him in surprise before laughing to yourself . So with pillarfam!Holly you've shown in a post that it took time for Kars to see her as her granddaughter because of how he sees her as all her mistakes but then grows to realize she is his granddaughter and fully (? not sure if he fully accepts her by that post) accepts it.

So does that mean by Jotaro's time Kars is more well handled with these things, like Jotaro being his great grandson, and treating him like that and not being so hesitant around him?

Kars and Holly have the most (mostly) unspoken issues between each other, and they go unspoken for the most park until Holly is well into her adult years.

Kars, as someone who has no choice in being in this family set up has mostly come to terms with it, he loves Holly. for the most part. He accepted that this is his granddaughter. but accepting her someone he cares about, not associating her with his failures its not an overnight task.

so in short, no. By the time Jotaros around, he's better. Less outburst, less letting his upsets be known. (mostly just not being around, Holly was too smart for her own good, she always could tell he didnt quiet see her when he looked at her with those cold eyes of his)

but damage is done, Jotaro does see most of his family beyond his mom, growing up. Especially Kars. When he does visit he likes Kars, and Kars is as 'kind' as he can be to the boy. Took awhile.

When learning Holly was having a child i think he had fingers crossed that that thing came out pure human or not at all. Yet here he it is, another half pillar man on the world. another thing to taunt his failings.

Damage is done, when growing up Jotaro who as a child gets along with his grandfather, likes many things Kars likes and in a way understands him when he prefers to stay away from others and be on his own with his research.

The damage is done when Jotaro, so young thinks he has a lot in common with his grandfather, but then hears the way his human family members talk about him. wonders if they think he's a monster to.

Jotaro has less of a constant bad rift with his grandfather, more of a rift with himself and the part of himself that is reflected in his grandfather. Rift between himself and his mom who never breaks a smile and never shows she's struggling to. Jotaro thinks he's alone in his feelings.

Kars kinda doesnt get over himself until P3.

When he's told Holly might die. When he has to see her laying there in that bed looking half dead. God... he realizes he can lose her. He thinks about how he though the lost Esidisi, Wham, even santana. Dear god, he could truly lose her and theres nothing he can do but sit by her and wait. He's spent so long wishing she was never born and now that she might be taken from him...

I think for the narrative of Pillar Fam, thats his breaking point. When he begins to think of Holly more as his families victory, their way of reaching the sun. Through Holly.

its not perfect, there is still lasting issues. I see both Jotaro and Holly as people who kinda are just kinda always a little bit sad forever.

Another thing about antagonists in general is that they aren't always inherently bad! They're just in opposition of the protagonist! (Who isn't always good either!!) Enstars is rlly fun bcs it switches those roles around between characters and reducing a character to Just that story role is a rlly reductive way to look at the material

YEAH! its all a matter of perspective; people tend to focus on only one perspective and forget that things aren't just as simple as this person evil this person good (in the case of enstars)

honestly any story with crazy:B involved with other units (main story, night club, SS Sudden death) shows this. theyre the unit that goes against the system, that breaks the seemingly perfect but actually fucked up system. they do things wild and their own way, and are portrayed initially negatively (we are given other persoectives to see this through! like every other unit, 2wink, knights etc. so it makes sense that people initially go. yeah. these people are bad. )

but then we get it from their perspective. we learn that theres reason behind this madness, behind all the wild and antagonistic acts that they do. we learn that they're so, so human. they have their own problems, have ideals that they're getting realized in their way, not going with the flow. nothing is black and white, sure, sometimes they may do some things that people don't agree with, but ultimately there's always reason behind that;

sorry to make this about him but i've gotta. all the posts that limit rinne to just a gambling addict alcoholic with no respect for anything that would be awful just to be awful make me want to hit stuff with a rock. i think theres this one convo in main story that basically explains it so well, that one where niki and mayoi are talking. the one where niki says yeah? rinne-kun is awful and stuff at times but he's human, just like me and you. that line hit me so hard you dont understand

(Note: I’m not sure if theres a better word for this, but the term that’s being used is Favoritism + Preferential Treatment. Ie. treating someone better than other people, because you like them. Like a positive bias thing.)

Reigen: Tomechan, we’ve.... lets leave it at that.   Tome: Huh?

-Narration- I don’t quite understand how these two relate to each other . If I had to describe it, theyre like bastard friends that still for some reason trust one another. 

-Narration- Bastard friend (This is kind of hard to describe, but it’s a bad friend that brings out the worst in you.) Friend Employee It doesn’t really matter what you call it. What ever it you call it, it ought to be preceded by the phrase “An Important”  Whether it’s giving importance to the other... or for you yourseld to be regarded held up as important.....they seem happier around each other because for it. It’s like the calming glow of single bulb at the dark core of them both. 

Tome: So then.... one would give preferential treatment to someone they’d assigned a special importance to. I guess an evil spirit would think in that manner.  Reigen: Please kill me Tome: Evil spirits are so difficult to analyze... Ekubo: I’m being analyzed?

-Narration- The evil spirit will be back at the consultation office tomorrow. Because he has a kind of affinity towards the boss

-Narration- No one is asking him to come, and he has not obligation to be there. He does so out of a kind of favoritism, bringing a kind of caring of his own accord.  Tome: Ah....So....do you know what he smells like? -Narration- I guess this is fine Reigen:You mean Ekubo? How would I know? Ekubo is sniffing his sleeve: Cigarettes. This guy smells like cigarettes, Im pretty sure.

-Narration- As for reason? It’s because he’s an evil spirit.  (Note: Im not sure who is speaking below:) Reigen: Can I take a whiff? 

Ekubo: Wha..This idea that people have their own unique smells to people isn’t a thing. This is ridiculous,

Tome: Guys? 

Reigen: I feel like he’d should smell like cucumbers

i kinda tried to like, merge my style a bit with the reference(? if thats understandable, dunno sorry im shit at explaining but i'll try my best, ok so, i wanted to keep the facial features, because my artstyle tends to be kinda simplified, especially in the face so it usually doesnt have much diversity in head form and stuff (im kinda trying to work on that), i think saying that i tried to adapt it to style would be more accurate? not sure, but if i try drawing this goober again i'll try ti adapt it better, because he kinda looks...off? to me

the only way that i had to describe it after finishing chap.1 was

"its written by a human yet it is so beyond my human comprehension i literally didnt understand anything at all yet i understood everything at the same time and i love it" i dunno its weird to put what i felt into words. i think kirby has a terrible time is so accurate, so much so i'd say its an understatement and terrible doesnt make it justice to what the silly goes trough

originally this were gonna be two drawings, this the first, and another one of fluff dissapointed, but uh, i fucked up the second one and i couldnt salvage it. so he died i guess, i was thinking about end of chap3 and beggining of chap4, basically "were going to be wed my darling fian- what do you mean by what."

also my first attempt was chap5 fluff, but i fucked up and it was followed by one of the weirdest intereactions i've ever had (it was 2am and i hadent gotten a good sleep in some days and i was watching a video talking about those "kid channels" that are definitly not for kids and weird (censored ofc) stuff appeared and i literally said "do u see this shit fluff" y'know the spider-man meme? yeah that one, and there's more but im going off the rails)

it's honestly one of my favorite scenes bc in my opinion despair expressed a tiny bit of emotion as if he actually,,, didn't want to kill mary,,,

oh man i meant to answer this earlier but then i Completely Forgot... BUT YEAH i think despair is a really interesting character and that scene is very interesting for his character!! i think hes very lonely in his immortality and while he has femt and aligura he still doesnt get to just. be an ordinary person. he doesnt get to have the kind of bond black and white have and he doesnt get to have the friendship leo and white have... hes Extremely Depressed and the thing he says about lingering attachment keeping him and white alive.... Very Interesting. ive said this a lot but i think white is a foil to pretty much Every Character shes so well written.... but anyway i think a lot about how she said she wouldnt be able to live without black and later on black says that without her theres no world at all. but she learns that even if shes gone its okay because black Wants to live and thats so important to her when her whole childhood she watched black barely ever stand up for himself,,, those two make me so emotional,, i think theres a whole religious aspect to it too but im still not quite sure what my thoughts on that are and what white is supposed to represent.. im very out of it today so forgive me if this doesnt make sense But i think despairs Lingering Attachment in a way is his love for humans. he likes that they can love despite their lives being so short and he wants to understand, and seeing how much the macbeths care about each other probably really affected him.... he doesnt really want either of them to die because he appreciates their humanity but. u know. hes the king of despair. gotta cause despair to literally everyone including himself <3

sorry guys im gay vampire posting again but hear me out

what if nandermo’s happy ending is in both of them choosing mortality and growing old together?? 

consider this; guillermo’s plan throughout the entire series is to become a vampire, its showed that he had a fixation on vampires since child hood, plus being nandors familiar for 15 years (and leaving him multiple times for anyone who promises to turn him faster), then as a last ditch effort going to someone he knows will do it (derek). he is so dedicated to this that even despite finding out he is genetically a vampire hunter, knowing his family hates vampires and he might not be able to see them again if he turns (which we know is gonna be hard for him considering he seems to be relatevely close with them at least enough to put together a dinner party and to give them money the second he gets some) so if guillermo comes back to the house as a vamp nandor- who had been kinda been keeping guillermo there by hanging the prospect of becoming a vampire over him like a cat- is going to freak the fuck out for 2 reasons:

1. he wanted to be the one to turn guillermo, on his home soil (though he will probably never admit it again)

2. guillermo doesnt need anything from him anymore

im sure theres also a few other things that the vamps would have an issue with like “who the FUCK turned him" and “vampires never turn familiars especially ones that arent their own” (since it seems like familiar poaching and taking familiars from their masters for consumption or otherwise is pretty taboo) but i think that derek being the one to do it makes both of those kinda obsolete (it also seems like the vamps are a lot less dedicated to vampire culture rules after their whole council arc and killing vampires thing in s3). but whats probably gonna throw nandor for a loop is that guillermo is gonna come back. we all know he will weather its to pick up his things or say goodbye or decide he wants to stick around after all at some point he will and nandor will open the door and have the most horrified look when he finds out. nandor has been on the pursuit of love and happiness for as long as we’ve seen him. hes tired of immortal life and misses the thrill of living. you see this with the human camp thing, with trying to find a wife and deciding that was too hard to he used jinn magic to resurect his old wives but then that wasn’t good enough so he enchanted the shit out of his chosen zombie wife to make her a shell of her former self and then seeing how happy guillermo and freddie are decides to turn marwa into a clone of freddie? this man is desprate. its clear that nandor doesn’t enjoy the vampire lifestyle anymore, its boring sitting in the house all day and hunting at night, enter guilliermo- van halen vampire hunter, beat the shit out of you in a fight multiple times, never know if hes gonna be there the next day, de la cruz. guilliermo makes immortality exciting to nandor, but now that guillermo has no use for nandor anymore he probably will leave right? do everything he wants to now that he’s a vampire. nandor is freaking the fuck out and has (1) jinn wish left... 

so every time this show has a path that i think “yeah that makes sense” the vampires tend to to the complete opposite path. nandor has a lack of understanding for other’s feelings but in recent seasons its gotten better, however it would still make perfect sense that nandor would use this wish incredibly selfishly- but hes gonna fuck up. It would make absolute sense for mr. the relentless to try and wish guillermo a human again so he could have him as a familiar and turn him the way he wanted to turn him but maybe hes going to wish for something a little less specific, maybe “i wish guillermo would stay and not leave” or something like that because this is the happiest hes seen guillermo! hes thriving as a vamp and its all hes wanted for as long as they’ve known eachother. Heres the thing, I think that the spell is going to make nandor a human- a human in need of a familiar. 

hijinks ensue: guillermo (who actually had no idea what to do now that he is a vampire, the whole dedicating your life to getting something and now that you have it what is there to do?) decides to take nandor as a familliar and effectively switches roles with him (i think collin is indifferent, lazlo is amused, and nadja is just confused- plus vampire rules they dont wanna turn him since he’s TECHNICALLY a familliar + its really fucking funny). he promises to make nandor a vampire again and he fully intends on it- but hes gonna have some revenge labor first. something happens and guillermo has to save nandor AGAIN from something or other (maybe nandor, sick of guillermo treating him the way he treated guillermo, decides to reverse uno on him and leaves, maybe he goes out to find a vamp who remembers and will turn him but gets himself into trouble with some creatures who probably want to eat him)- and i think this might be where they realize they kinda need eachother. guillermo asks nandor if he wants to be turned back, and nandor really thinks about it. on one hand he misses being powerful as a vampire, having the strength and skill to defeat anyone and his coffin and such- but he also tried a cheezeburger for the first time! he ran from monsters, cooked and cleaned, felt his heart beat and his brow sweat and he felt alive! on the other hand, guillermo is realizing that being a vampire isnt all that he thought it would be. he misses food and the sun more than he thought he would, he misses his family who would try to kill him the first time he saw them. he thought he would see the world or find a community but the thing thats made him the happiest is showing nandor how to be a human. nandor refuses, or at least asks to wait a bit longer so he can try more things as a human- and guillermo agrees, promising to wait eternity for him.

how long do you have cause i can be here all day....

hes just. wonderful. all around. never met a nicer, more realist and grounded man than he is. not to even mention how inclusive and respectful he is and he tries to make his spaces to be (and before anyone says anything, i know hes not perfect, he obviously has his flaws as he is still a stupid human being, but from multiple personal experiences i can tell he does his best). like fr hes just such a good bean, and ive never heard anyone say a bad word about him when someone has interacted with him

and then ofc his in character work is incredible. how he manages to build and tell compelling stories and keep developing himself and his character while hes at it. hes so talented on the mic and brings a really interesting flare into the ring and hes just a delight to watch, and ive especially been enjoying watching his recent heel work mocking his opponents in ridiculous ways. also the back arch but we dont have time to unpack that rn--

but uuuh yeah he plays like.. at this specific point in time im not sure about the character to be quite honest? he calls himself a 'pro wrestling artist' as he keeps weaving and telling stories through his work and arcs, but idk how thats currently working out for him (i blame lack of tv time which is such a fucking curse 😔). hes more or less alligned in a trios team(/stable) with butcher and blade atm, i think they are gonna use the deadly alliance name at least for now - apart from them being kips friends/hired guns i dont really know whats going on over there either storywise. again, the curse of lack of tv time ugh. but even with that said, they are a great team with an incredible connection with one another, and they play their designated roles so well. also they are just happy to work together which is more than enough for me to enjoy them c:

Supernatural Creature AU

“Can you tell him to stop?”

Robin hates it when Eddie wakes shows up at the apartment, hovers just outside their balcony window pulling a Salem’s Lot and if they weren’t in the part of town that was full of supes he’d had given someone a stroke by now-he almost did. Henrietta an old bridge troll is about a few hundred years old and prone to getting spooked by just about everything these days and when she saw Eddie though her own window across the street he waved and she had fallen in a scream on her behind. She reminds Robin about this daily when Robin is on her way to work. Anyway, it’s three thirty and Eddie is at her balcony…singing.

“Steve! Billy! Chrissy! GET. YOUR. MAN.”

But wait…

Shit, they aren’t home. Robin could kick herself for saying no to the invitation this months moon run but Robin can only run so far and so fast and honestly, if you’re not the one mated and dating a werewolf then is it really worth it? She hates it when Billy and Chrissy and the stupid flea ridden werewolves in Hawkins converge together and howl and hunt, it’s annoying to try and keep up and being reminded that…no no, little witch you can’t use magic you can’t use your broom.

Last month Billy had hunted them down and had tackled Chrissy into a rather large bush and when Robin had come upon that…well, lets just say that if she wasn’t a lesbian before she certainly was one after seeing Billy’s wolfed out junk and then seeing Steve dive bomb on the wolfy love fest.

‘You sure Robin? I think Nancy’s going this year.’

‘Oh yeah, because I want to see her chase after Byers…again. No thanks you guys have fun.’

She had forgotten that Eddie couldn’t go, forgot about Eddie all together. Of course he wouldn’t be permitted by the packs in Hawkins and, as it was, the werewolves and the other blood suckers were still trying to understand how Eddie had found himself mated and bedded and in love with two werewolves and a witch. Well, the witch part is more understandable, she thinks.

We do certainly get around, ha.

Theres singing, Robin can hear, singing with a bit of a slur to it like maybe Eddie’s drunk and she prays to everything that she’s wrong because a drunk Eddie is an even more annoying Eddie, a drunk Eddie is a hugger and unless you’re a beautiful woman or Steve then Robin would rather avoid hugging all together. She tries not to think about Vickie and her it’s not you it’s me, speech.

‘I wish it could work but you know, you’re going places, high places Robin.’

‘So are you!’

‘I mean literally, Robin. You’re literally always flying everywhere and you’re up so high and you can do all of these things and I just…I can’t. I’m just a squishy little normal human person. I really really like you but what happens when I start getting all wrinkled and old.’

‘I’ve told you theres a spell for that.’

‘That’s the problem I don’t want a spell I want a normal girlfriend who can grow old at the same time as me not infinitely slower.’

Vickie had hugged her and walked out of The Cheeky Whispers and Brew and hadn’t been back on Robin’s side of town since, though she did hear that Vickie was seen with some meat headed human jock who happened to very innocently get jock itch. Out of nowhere. Somehow.

‘Eh, I just sped up the process I bet the guy doesn’t even wash his ass because he thinks it’s gay.’ Steve said offhandedly as he handing Robin a root beer float.

“~if you like pina coladas~”

“Oh hell no.” Robin yanks the curtains opened so quickly that Eddie crashes into the balcony bellow. A cat screeches, a woman screams and Eddie, bashfully rises up with one hand behind his head as Robin watches him, annoyed. “Idiot.”

“You DRANK Vickie’s boyfriend?”

Robin stands corrected, Eddie isn’t an idiot he is a genius, a wonderful man, an excellent vampire, she says this as she tosses the blood bag into her microwave. “Did you kill him?”

“Don’t sound too concerned. I didn’t drain him I nibbled and the guy was so damn drunk off of his ass I couldn’t fly straight.” Eddie smiles dopey, still buzzed. “I don’t know how that human was able to stand up straight. Couldn’t see me for shit and thanked me for the hickey before he literally fell into a ditch.”

“Oh shit.” The timer goes off and Robin tosses the blood bag to Eddie. “You think he died?”

“I don’t kill humans so no and I’m starting to get a little,” He gestures at all of her. “bit of a murder kink out of you. Can I get a mug?”

“Do you want a mug? Steve’s not here and I wont tattle if you drink straight from the pouch.”

She does mind when he uses one of the metal straw to stab into the plastic and starts slurping up the blood like a Caprisun though. “You can keep the straw.”

“Okay.”

Gonna add onto this. I kinda like the idea of Robin and Eddie hanging out oh and Eddie being a vampire is pretty awesome too.

hey everyone! martha here! so as most of you know, im in college and have classes and a part-time job in the northwest laboratory, yeah? well, today was the most fucking INSANE project/lesson, im at a loss for words.

they took us (me and about 14 other students) down to the fucking *basement* of the school, which i didnt even know we had one, but anyway, they take us down to the basement and we go into a huge fucking room with i giant ass like, operation table. on that fucking table is mothman i am not joking. theres this seven foot one humanoid creature, laying on its stomach, thats covered in fur? fuzz? big ass antenna and giant ass moth wings chained to the fucking table. ill leave my sketch of it at the end. i almost fainted, one kid did. dr. roberts goes on to talk about how this creature was found actually WORKING AT THE LAB. and he says some other shit too, but i cant really remember it at the moment. the chains fucking lifted up taking the creature with it and it was flipped over onto its back. it had scars under its chest. top surgery??? its eyes were piercing red. weirdly beautiful. i think im going insane. i dont know how long it was but dr. roberts kept talking, he was describing details about its outer anatomy and theories he had, when he was done, he pushed the button to flip it over and then called on me. he asked me to remove its wings. to sever them. he said that if i didnt, he would kick me out of the college, fire me from the lab, and make sure that my mother is "lost." i didnt fuckinf understand what was happening but i fucking did it i was so scared. dr roberts is an awful fucking man. the creature screamed. it wasnt asleep, just put on enough drugs to where it couldnt move but very much cohld feel. this has to be illegal. its blood was red. like mine. like ours. it was so human..i am an awful person. i shouldve stopped it. im si sorry.

i do not feel like drawing even if i also kinda wanna draw... prolly more an energy thing to be honest. but also would very much like to doodle more hassan yk? speakin of which i still find it so fucking cool he knows how to speak orcish - but also not very surprising given where he came from, was like an even split between orcs and humans and half orcs and such. it's pretty chill honestly, it's like a tightknit little farming town in my head - or at least it WAS. hassan has a play in its gentrification. think i brought it up before, but does make me sad every single time. he shouldn't have played along with something so fucking awful, but also, shit man he does regret it. deeply. its a complicated thing. conversation veered badly but no yeah hassan knows orcish... i think he'd be a bit rusty, his pronunciation is off, and some of the words he'd use would be stiff and janky, but it's enough to get by. he tries i think, for somebody who speaks common way more. well english common. not quite sure if the existence of non-english common exists and whether or not more versions of 'common' exist - but to me, hassan's mother tongue is based in arabic. it's lonely to speak a language no one else might understand, not even yourself. it feels like there is no understanding without another to witness it, someone else to bare it with. it's a lot more raw, more organic to himself, truthful, while everything in english common is caked with formality and apprehension. yk. yadda yadad yayay idk but i do feel it would be even more isolating for him, not having spoken to anyone in such a raw way for a VERY long time. cuz theres no chance to, no one else can speak it, because as far as he knows, the language went with the time. maybe? there's really no saying

PLEASE ok im not tagging spoilers this games been out for like 5+ years already so. yeah.

Alright. I'm a bit fuzzy on story details since I haven't actually gotten that far so i might need to rewrite some aspects of this but my understanding is the country that attacked Noctis' home (Nilfheim??) is mostly interested in harnessing the power of the crystal which is 1) also the soul of the world/some kind of world crystal with a will of sorts 2) the conduit through which the astrals or gods or w/e the game calls the summons communicates with the oracle?? i think? and 3) is connected to the line of lucis which is why theres the whole king of kings prophecy w/e tf. And also theres the starscourge which is the big meanie mean sickness that only luna (and ardyn) could heal and no one knows where it came from but its nocts job to banish it once and for all or w/e. this is my understanding.

so like... knowing what i know about episode ardyn and the whole prophecy nonsense and the line of lucis, i kinda sorta have my suspicions about the 'benevolence' of the gods and the origin of the starscourge, ESPECIALLY since the crystal seems to be capable of just. healing the starscourge on a whim (ie it can grant the healing ability to?? anyone????). and its capable of affecting the gods as well (as iirc ardyn is able to kind of influence ifrit with it). WHICH kinda makes me sneakily suspect that this whole nonsense about prophecies and ardyn being the sacrificial lamb and noctis being doomed to end the line of lucis through his sacrifice is like. maybe its just the crystal doing a soft reset on the world of sorts to punish ardyn's brother for messing with its will. and after noct dies theres really no one left to commune with the crystal or gods anyway.

SO. my fix. because its just all so tragic and its my favorite when characters subvert prophecy expectations while still fulfilling the letter of a prophecy. Everything can kinda be the same up until the leviathan summon fight in.. whatever city that takes place in. I go back and forth on whether Luna really needs to die, but most of the time i say yes because it creates sort of a parallel origin for Noct as Ardyn (cuz his brother killed his bitch too so . ) and its fitting in a lot of ways like i think its an important catalyst for noct, as shitty as that is to reduce like the ONLY female character with plot relevance to that. And i do NOT have any idea what happens between that and noct getting sucked into the crystal to charge but whatever plot stuff in the middle there that needs to be altered gets altered such that when noct meets up with ardyn for that final fight its. the result is different. its more about like 'no man fuck this prophecy fuck the gods i'm gonna kill you and free you and im gonna end the starscourge by destroying the crystal and ending the puppeteering and we're gonna enter an age of humanity being fully independent which is what you wanted all along' and noct would STILL end the line of lucis because 1) without the crystal theres really no line of lucis powers anyway and 2) im a noct/ignis truther and 3) even if noct/ignis truthers cant win i still cant see him with anyone that isn't luna to carry on the stupid line like he'd recognize that sacrifice as a condition for getting around his death.

and of course ardyn will feel some kind of way about all that but i think he could be convinced to stick it one last time to the gods, and given he was a lucis i dont see any reason he couldnt kind of help noctis destroy himself... like sort of knights of round himself into oblivion. And noct still loses something for sure like i think i'd want him to lose an arm (the ring bearing arm) and he'd never be able to fight again because he'd lose that weird arsenal thing and he has to rebuild his kingdom but .. but he'd build a memorial for ardyn and luna and would finally right the wrong his ancestor committed against his great-great-whatever uncle. and the line of lucis ends noct commits to never having children and i suspect the kingdom might be weakened too without the crystal or gods kinda backing them but. its like. a bittersweet ending instead of bum city u know??

whatever i didnt explain it very well but the point is i see no reason noct couldnt kind of take advantage of the fine print in that prophecy there are lots of holes. but no he just has to die for... godly hubris or w/e. ok.
