sharing ideas i’ve toyed with for so long but i’m beginning to accept i prolly won’t ever write, thus i’m taking a chance some of these will bewitch someone out there body and soul, and i’ll be able to scratch the itch a little… the more the merrier after all !

The Last of Us : either a romantic version of Joel & Ellie’s dynamic (obv. with the ages adjusted) /OR/ episode 3 AU 🥲 [any ship] {EDIT: i KNOW it’s been done already once, twice, but i *need* more! not just with Andreil! let’s be explorers of possibilities, cmon!!}

Detroit: Become Human : this one i’m really only thinking of Andreil, with either as android and the other as human… i don’t necessarily see them conforming to a specific plot line from the game, i think the android/human dynamic is interesting enough and fits them perfectly, but go off i guess !

Brokeback Mountain : i don’t really need to explain this one do i? happy ending vs. canon character death, that is the true question… [any ship]

Titanic : it’s got so many options and tropes, it’s like a buffet for fic writers ! could be used as setting only, or follow Jack & Rose’s tragic (or not!) love story. [any ship]

The Haunting of Bly Manor : Jamie & Dani haunt me still. great opportunity for Renison, Lailalvarez or Kathea, or perhaps a gender swap on mlm ship? or not, leave them boys as is. haunt me, it’s all i ask. [any ship]

BBC Johnlock : don’t shoot the messenger alright? sorry for the ptsd flashbacks btw. i just think their dynamic and crime/detective AU are great opportunities. i’m personally partial to Jeanaaron for this one, as they were my og idea bc the similarities are??? amazing??? Sherlock!Jean & Watson!Aaron, and the Reichenbach Fall??? so neat. but really, [any ship]

The Maze Runner : Thominewt // Kandreil !?!?!? it’s right there! [any ship] tho.

SKAM : ofc Robbe & Sander from WtFock are physically the perfect Andreil which leads to a great adaptation opportunity here, but Élu from SkamFr are also a great blueprint for a Kevaaron story. honestly any S3 Skam + [any ship]

Dune : listen, i don’t have all the answers. idk how that would even work. but surely you can figure smth out ! [any ship]

Inception : i love the movie. i love hans zimmer. i love Arthur x Eames. NORA SAKAVIC LOVES ARTHUR x EAMES. they’ve got such Andreil vibes, but so do Jerejean, even Renison. and the Foxes as dream crew??? so perf it’s insane. give me and Miss Sakavic what we really want. [any ship]

Did anyone asked for more titanic au?? Nope. Did I wrote this even tho no one asked do it??? Damn right I did. So here’s another titanic au because I have this idea so I have to write it out so yes here’s another

Neil is Jack and Andrew is Rose

Neil met Andrew on the decks, when Andrew was standing out on the rails, staring ahead stoically

Neil thought Andrew would jump and try to stop him

“I am not suicidal, I’m not going to jump,”

“Then why are you standing out like that?”

Andrew didn’t answer, when Neil wouldn’t leave him alone, he finally said, “to feel,”

“Well, can you feel behind the rails?”

“It’s different,”

“How?”

Andrew didn’t answer again and Neil waited for him, until Andrew gave in and explained, “there’s no fear of falling behind the rails, because I am safe. But here, I’m not, so I can finally feel the pounding of my heart and rushing of my blood,”

“Well if you continue to stay out there like that my heart is definitely going to beat itself out of my chest, please climb back inside,”

“Do not say please,” Andrew said it so venomously, Neil was taken back

“Okay, then just, climb back inside, or I guess I will have to climb out and my hands are really slippery and I might fall, unlike you,”

Andrew didn’t move, but when Neil actually began to climb, Andrew growled, “all right,”

Andrew went back inside without a word, Neil, curious and intrigued by the beautiful blonde, followed him

“What more do you want?” Andrew growled at him

“For you to promise that you will never do that again,”

“I don’t even fucking know you,”

“I’m Neil, Neil Josten,”

When Andrew said nothing, Neil asked, “what’s your name?”

.... “Andrew, Andrew Minyard,” the blonde finally replied

“Well Andrew, can you promise me that you will never stand out on the rails like that?”

“If I do will you leave me alone?”

“Yes,” Neil lied

“Fine, I promise you,”

“Thank you,”

“This is my room you can leave me alone now,” the blonde crossed his arms over his chest, Neil nodded and left.

The next day, Neil, curious as he was, went by Andrew’s room, hoping to catch the blonde, but he caught something different entirely. He heard noises, horrible noises and he knew what was happening, he banged on the door furiously and a scowling man opened the door, pushing aside the too startled man, Neil went into the room and found Andrew on the bed. He made a strangled noise, “Andrew,” he helped Andrew up, he knew it wasn’t the first time, Neil had never been so furious.

“Who the fuck are you, what the fuck are you doing in here,” the man barked

“I’m Neil Josten and I’m here to report you sick fuck,”

The man laughed, “do you know who I am? I am Drake Spears, no one will believe you, what are you doing? He is mine,” Drake tried to snatch Andrew from Neil’s hands but Neil was a lot stronger than he looks.

“And do I look like I give a fuck? You do not know who I am and you will not want to cross me, especially my father,” Neil voice had a dangerous undertone to it and he smiled coldly, “the butcher”

The man scowled but stepped back, silently fuming he called out to them as they left his room, “have fun with that whore,”

Andrew pushed Neil away once the door closed, “what are you doing here?”

“I was hoping to catch you and passed by the door and then I hear it,”

“I thought you said you would leave me alone,”

“I lied,”

“Is your father really the butcher?”

“That’s true, but my father disowned me,”

Andrew finally understood why Neil was so scarred and he understood that the threat Neil made was useless

“He will find out once we get off this ship,” Andrew said

“Then at least you will be safe while we are on this ship, and we will do something once we get off,”

“There’s nothing you can do,” Andrew began to walk away,

“Where are you going? You don’t have anywhere to go,” Neil followed Andrew. Andrew didn’t answer

“You can stay in my room, there’s an empty bed,”

“Why are you doing this?” Andrew demanded, he could not understand why this stranger was doing so much for him

Neil shrugged, “maybe I understand how it feels like to be abused too, and maybe I want to help you,” Neil didn’t say save, because Neil really understood.

“Where’s your room?”

Neil smiled, and it transformed his whole face, “follow me,”

Andrew stayed in Neil’s room, the following day, they went out, avoiding the first class places, they talked about everything and nothing, Neil doing most of the talking. That night they went to a party and afterwards they went out onto the deck to smoke

“You can go with me,” Neil said suddenly, into the cold silent air

Andrew looked at him, waiting for him to elaborate

“When we arrive, I know you have nowhere to go and so do I, we can go anywhere and everywhere” Neil hesitated, “together.”

“You don’t have to decide now, just know that the offer is on the table,” Neil took another long drag of his cigarette

When the cigarettes had burned to the filter, Andrew turned towards Neil, “yes or no?”

Neil, dumbfounded looked at Andrew. The intensity in those burning hazel eyes were overwhelming and Neil was drowning in them, but he understood.

“Yes,”

“Hands in your pockets,” Neil pocketed them quickly, Andrew grabbed Neil’s neck and pulled him down.

Andrew kissed him like this was a fight with their lives on the line, like his world stopped and started with Neil’s mouth. Neil’s heart stuttered to a stop at the first hard press of lips against his and returned it just as vicious

Breathlessly, Andrew pulled away first, Neil didn’t stop him, only asked again, “yes or no?”

“No,” and Andrew walked off, Neil wordlessly followed him but careful to keep a distance so they wouldn’t brush against each other accidentally

The next night, they went out onto the decks again, and Andrew asked, “yes or no?”

“Yes,”

And they kissed again, this time when Andrew pulled away and Neil asked, Andrew said yes,

“You can put your hands on my hair, only”

Neil buried his hands in Andrew’s soft curls and didn’t touch anywhere else. They kissed and stayed there until dawn slowly broke out

Every night was the same, they asked, they answered yes, and they kissed

The night titanic hit the ice berg, Andrew and Neil was sleeping on the same bed, with Andrew spooning Neil. They woke up to frantic passengers screaming in hysteria and from the bits and pieces, they understood what was happening. They ran up onto the decks, on the way, they bumped into Drake. Drake scowling at their linked hands, pushed Andrew when the ship had just began to tilt, Andrew’s head banged against the walls, ears ringing, he could not hear what Neil said and only saw Drake’s body flew overboard, but in the chaos of everything, no one cared.

They continued to ran for the decks, Andrew’s spinning head slowing them down but Neil never let go and stayed with Andrew. When the ship broke and everything finally sank, Neil found a piece of wood and threw the concussed Andrew on it, who was too dizzy to fight back

“Neil, get on,” Andrew had never sounded so distressed

“It can only fit one, it will sink otherwise, and do not get off I’ll let go before you can,”

Andrew never hated himself so much, cursing his stupid useless head, he was too weak to fight with Neil, “no one likes a martyr,”

Neil smiled ruefully, “yes or no?”

“Yes,” cold lips clashed ferociously

“Promise me you will do whatever you have to to live, promise me”

Andrew didn’t answer, he didn’t want to answer, Neil gasped out, “if you don’t promise me right now I will let go,”

“I promise,” Andrew hated himself for answering, but whatever small chances they had for Neil to live he would take it.

“Thank you, you were amazing,” despite the freezing condition Neil was in, his eyes were blazing and he could not have sounded happier

Tears fell down Andrew’s face, he hadn’t cried when Drake bought him from his mother, he didn’t cry when Drake first pushed him onto the bed, he thought he lost his ability to cry, and yet.

“Can I?” Neil’s shivering hand hovered over Andrew’s face, Andrew nodded and Neil wiped Andrew’s tears, his hand on Andrew’s face was freezing but Andrew could only feel the heat of them. Andrew closed his eyes, his cheeks leaning against Neil’s freezing hand

When Andrew opened them again, he heard whistles in the distance, he screamed for help and as the boat rowed closer, Andrew tried knowing the results, “Neil,”

“Neil,”

“Neil Josten,”

Andrew removed Neil’s hand from his cheeks and Neil sank, his frozen auburn hair disappeared under the waters. Andrew pulled himself onto the boat, ignoring the hands held out to him.

When they asked for his name, he said, “Josten, Andrew Minyard Josten”

Andrew lived, just as he had promised Neil, but he never hated the promise more. He found his cousins in America, Nicky and Aaron. He stayed with them, worked in a bar, drank everyday but never drunk enough to lose control. Finally, in his late thirties, his liver and lungs began to fail from the smoke and alcohol, his cousins tried to get him to stop his habits and get him treated, Andrew refused.

“Promise me you will throw my ashes into the Atlantic Ocean,”

“We will, we promise” Nicky said, he was crying by Andrew’s death bed.

“You know I meant for you to live a fulfilling life, not a half-assed one,” Neil hands him a cigarette.

“You never specify,” Andrew doesn’t look at him, he stares out at the horizon and takes a long drag of his cigarette

“I guess next time I will be more specific,”

“No next time,” Andrew growls

Neil laughs, a sound that Andrew can never forget

“Yes or no?” Andrew asks

“Yes,”

So yes did I cry again while writing this? Maybe, but honestly you can’t tell me that if it’s Andrew who lives he will actaully live happily like that’s completely impossible so yeah but well hope you enjoyed this as much as I did writing it hahahahahaha

Titanic au

Here’s the titanic andreil au that no one asks for but is here because I just watched titanic for the first time (don’t judge me i know it’s a classic that’s why in quarantine I finally watched it but anyways) and I ofc keep thinking about andreil so here yall go

Andrew is Jack and Neil is Rose

After a really bad night, where Nathaniel’s father Nathan had burned and cut his arms, Nathaneil was finally going to end it but of course Andrew found him just before he jumped and saved him

“I will make a promise to you, I will be the man who will protect you okay? At least until this ship docks”

“What do you want in return?” Nathaniel asked wary of the stranger that just saved him

“Your time, meet here tomorrow same time. Without the you almost suiciding part,” the man said it in such a nonchalant tone Nathaniel was still suspicious

“I don’t even know your name,”

“Andrew, Andrew Minyard.”

“Na-Neil Josten,” Neil did not want to be Nathaniel with Andrew

“See you tomorrow Neil,”

The next day, Neil almost did not go to the decks again, but hope was a dangerous, disquieting thing, but he thought perhaps he liked it so he went

Andrew was there and handed him a cigarette without a word

When their cigarettes had burned to the filter, Neil finally told Andrew why he had wanted to jump that night. Not only had he been abused since a child, his father was now also going to married him off to a woman called Lola who had a thing for knives and could not wait to experiment it on Neil

Andrew listened without saying a single word, his expression remained passive

“Sorry to dump this all on you, but I guess you deserve an explanation,” Neil said at last.

“I was abused too,” Andrew said it so quietly that Neil almost didn’t hear him

Neil said nothing, he didn’t know what to say

“But it’s in the past and I have escaped, you can too. Stop being the rabbit,”

Neil said nothing, he didn’t think it was possible, but Andrew’s stare on him, was not full of hope, but understanding. Complete understanding of what he had been through, and steel under it, steel formed from the hell he had been through, and survived.

“I will meet you here tomorrow again, same time” Andrew walked away without waiting for an answer, they both already knew the answer

The next night, Andrew was there, ready with a cigarette for him. Without looking at him, Andrew said, “this is the moment you stop being the rabbit”

Neil took a last drag of the cigarette before letting it tumbled out of his hands, watching it fell into the sea without a sound. He turned to Andrew, “okay then, come with me,”

Andrew said nothing and followed him

They went below decks and partied hard, harder than they both ever had in their lives, and it was the best time of their lives

They didn’t get drunk, just tipsy, but while leaving, Andrew kissed Neil, and Neil kissed him back. Before Neil could went in for a second one Andrew pushed him away, “tomorrow same time” and walked away once again, leaving a flustered Neil behind

His father burned his face that night because Neil went back late. Nathaniel screamed in pain for the last time.

The next night, Neil met Andrew in the decks again, without taking the cigarette offered to him, words stumbled out of Neil, “I want to stay with you when we arrive to amercia, that is if you will let me, but if I go with you, we have to be in the run for the first few years, until my father stops trying to find us. I understand if you don’t want me to come with you, it’s a huge risk and we just met a few days ago.”

Andrew just threw a key at him, which Neil caught in mid-air, “my apartment’s spare key,”

Neil’s breath caught in his lungs

“Yes or no,” Andrew asked, resting his intense hazel eyes on Neil

“Yes,” Neil said breathlessly, and then they were kissing, and kissing, and kissing.

Neil didn’t return to his room that night and stayed with Andrew

That was the night the titanic hit the ice berg

They had fallen alseep in Andrew’s room and woken up to alarms screaming and people panicking everywhere

From the bits and pieces from those hysterical passengers, they figured out what was going on. They ran for the decks, the life boats were already all gone, they climbed onto the rails and clung on until the boat sank and they were both in water. Somehow they found each other in the sea of drowning people and Andrew found a piece of wood that floated and could only fit one person

“Get on,” Andrew growled at him

Neil, despite being taller than Andrew, was not strong enough to fight him, and ended up being flung onto the wood

“No! We can both try to use this to stay afloat until someone comes back for us, or you can fit too or-“ Neil said frantically

“This wood is not big enough, if we both use it it will sink, if you don’t stay on it you will freeze to death and if you even think of getting off for me I will let go right now.” Andrew’s voice left no room for arguement and Neil could only watch Andrew shivered and shivered helplessly

“Yes or no?” Neil whispered

“Yes,” they kissed for the last time

“Promise me you will stay alive, and live the life you wanted and do not go back to your father, promise me”

“I- I promise,” Neil was crying at this point, he hadn’t cried when his father burn and cut his arms, he didn’t cry when he was told the news that he would marry Lola, he didn’t cry when his father burned his face, but he cried now, it was the first time he cried in a decade, not since his mother’s death

Neil woke up to someone calling out, asking if anyone was alive, “Help, help!” Neil shouted as loud as he could, and miraculously they heard him and began to row their boat towards him

Andrew’s hands in his was freezing cold, “Andrew,”

Neil knew that it was useless, he pressed his cold lips on Andrew’s freezing knuckles gently, and finally let go and got into the boat, pulled up by the crew

When he was rescued and people asked for his name, “Minyard, Neil Josten Minyard”

Neil found the key still in his pocket after everything

Neil found the apartment and stayed there for the rest of his life, his father was in too much debts and was killed by his debtors, Lola was arrested for stabbing people, he was finally safe.

Neil worked in The Exy Ltd company, and made friends with people there, the foxes, and his boss, Wymack who was kind enough to hire him

Neil had a good life and never got married or dated

When he knew his death was near, he told the foxes to threw his ashes into the Atlantic Ocean, the place where the titanic sank. The foxes all knew the story and agreed to do it.

And they did.

Neil walks onto the titanic’s deck and meets Andrew, who hands him a cigarette wordlessly.

“Yes or no?” Neil asks,

“Yes,” Andrew answers,

Hi yes so like I’m totally not crying right now and yes I know it’s not too in character but like if Andrew is rose let me tell you Andrew will let go with Neil like I’m not even kidding so yup rose has to be Neil

I was thinking of writing a andrew is rose and Neil is Jack one but then this one put me through so much pain writing it I can’t so idk will I do it but we all know I love agony so who knows
