Grape kun was a penguin at Tobu Zoo in Miyashiro, Japan, who became attached to a cardboard cutout of an anime character placed in his pen as a partner.
The character is a picture of Hululu, an anthropomorphic penguin character from the Japanese anime series Kemono Friends.
The cut-out was originally placed in the penguin enclosure as part of a tie-in promotion with Kemono Friends. Grape spent long hours staring at Hululu and refusing to leave her side, and so staff decided to leave the cut-out in the penguin's enclosure, long after the promotion ended.

i think it's quite amusing how the dish was shown using namari's perspective. before tasting it, she thought it wouldn't taste good and even thought of eating the stew as a form of punishment. right after tasting it, only then did the stew become vibrant in her eyes.
