OMG FLOW IS ON HBO-MAX!!!
I've been wanting to watch this movie so bad, and I'm glad I finally got to watch it! Not going to tell spoilers but I've been hearing nothing but a lot of praise for this film from a lot of animation fans and they were RIGHT! 😍💕

The animators of the new Castlevania really put their whole pussy into those bite scenes. Every time a vampire goes for the neck I don't just blush, I straight up gush. Everybody start taking notes cuz this is how real art is made.

The Ahsoka series should have been animated
Personally I am of the belief that the Ahsoka series should have been animated. It sucks that there is still a belief that animation is just for kids, and live action would draw in a larger audience. Animation brings more range and opportunities that live action just can't capture, and the fact that something is animated does not even slightly mean it is solely for kids. And honestly, viewers of Ahsoka would have had to watch both Clone Wars and Rebels to even understand who half the characters were and why Ezra and Thrawn were important.
There would be a much better range for fight scenes, and the actors apart from a few, like Eman Esfandi, David Tenant (even as a voice actor) and Lars Mikkelsen were very wooden and didn't really bring the characters to life. And that scene in the finale where they're deflecting the shots from the stormtroopers inside the fortress was choreographed horribly. Animation would have allowed for more of the action filled fight scenes we saw in Rebels and Clone Wars.
They also put to much focus on Sabine becoming a jedi, I didn't really see any hints of that in Rebels, and I think it would have been really cool to see her use some of her mandalorian gadgets. and animation would have provided much better opportunities for them to be used like we were able to see in Rebels.
The show was also essentially Rebels season 5. I think that was actually confirmed somewhere (don't remember where though). I think they should have named it differently, like Specter Crew or something. and animation would allow them to include characters like Zeb and Kallus. But unfortunately, much like the Kenobi series Ahsoka ended up being turned into a side character in her own show.
Animation would also provide more opportunities for continuation, as well as making effects like nightsister magic (the way they used this in the show made no sense at all) and explosions fit in better with the setting. Animation also means that you can get acrobatics and fluid movement from the characters you expect them from like Ahsoka, without actors having to worry about prosthetics.

The “Paramount+: Home of Star Trek” marketing is especially nonsensical here in the UK (where this billboard was photographed!) not only because Prodigy has been removed, but Lower Decks still hasn’t been added, and won’t be added until season 4 starts. Until then, its an Amazon Prime exclusive.

Oh, and look, we don’t have TAS on there either. “Home of Star Trek unless its in any way animated”, I guess...

If mainstream media is gonna insist on constantly remaking shit, I propose they at least stop making shitty "live action" versions of animated stories and start making beautifully animated versions of live action stories instead.

Steven Universe is such a beautiful show, it is a legitimate tragedy that it's considered a kids show. Between it, the movie, and Steven Universe Future, it has covered so many topics that I've fought so hard with in my life, including PTSD, growth and loving myself, superior orders, generational trauma, friendships and abandonment and moving on from that abandonment, being abused and being an abuser in the same relationship as two sides of a relationship. These are such challenging topics, and so rarely touched upon in any form of visual media, even in stuff made for adults, that the fact that this is made to be understandable by people of all ages, even younger kids, is ASTOUNDING and runs along Shakespearean levels of brilliance.

Remember to advocate for better work environments for animators and artists even if you like the content, both can coexist.
Also, abuse in the industry is not why things come out “so good”. It’s the exact opposite: I guarantee your fav movie would’ve been 10x better if the artists involved were not exploited and rushed, thanks.

Viva as animações!!♡
(English) - I used a translator, I still have very basic English lol
I will never forget Guilhermo Del Toro's speech at the Oscars, animation is not a genre, it is cinema, a medium. A medium that allows us to tell stories beyond our imagination, just like films and theater, it has never had limitations, the entertainment industry (I'm looking at you Hollywood!!) that really puts this small idea into practice. Long live the animations!!♡
my biggest issue with the httyd live action-and just about any live action reboot is that it seems that the live action adaptations are being made to make the original “better”? like, so many people talk about a live action spiderverse, a live action hercules, a live action PRINCE OF EGYPT (dont piss me OFF.)-like animation is a beautiful work of art, and for some reason putting real people and cgi in it is supposed to be an “upgrade”? im probably being that friend that’s too woke or whatever, but i just think it’s so disrespectful to act like something that takes so much time and effort and energy is immediately considered as lower because it is animated. animation is beautiful, and it is one of the most heartfelt art forms there are, and erasing that for the sake of a cash grab is downright degrading to animation as a medium.

One of the coolest things to remember is that because prey animals have eyes on the side of their head, they can still see in front of them but they are focused on something when in profile!
