The Ahsoka series should have been animated
Personally I am of the belief that the Ahsoka series should have been animated. It sucks that there is still a belief that animation is just for kids, and live action would draw in a larger audience. Animation brings more range and opportunities that live action just can't capture, and the fact that something is animated does not even slightly mean it is solely for kids. And honestly, viewers of Ahsoka would have had to watch both Clone Wars and Rebels to even understand who half the characters were and why Ezra and Thrawn were important.
There would be a much better range for fight scenes, and the actors apart from a few, like Eman Esfandi, David Tenant (even as a voice actor) and Lars Mikkelsen were very wooden and didn't really bring the characters to life. And that scene in the finale where they're deflecting the shots from the stormtroopers inside the fortress was choreographed horribly. Animation would have allowed for more of the action filled fight scenes we saw in Rebels and Clone Wars.
They also put to much focus on Sabine becoming a jedi, I didn't really see any hints of that in Rebels, and I think it would have been really cool to see her use some of her mandalorian gadgets. and animation would have provided much better opportunities for them to be used like we were able to see in Rebels.
The show was also essentially Rebels season 5. I think that was actually confirmed somewhere (don't remember where though). I think they should have named it differently, like Specter Crew or something. and animation would allow them to include characters like Zeb and Kallus. But unfortunately, much like the Kenobi series Ahsoka ended up being turned into a side character in her own show.
Animation would also provide more opportunities for continuation, as well as making effects like nightsister magic (the way they used this in the show made no sense at all) and explosions fit in better with the setting. Animation also means that you can get acrobatics and fluid movement from the characters you expect them from like Ahsoka, without actors having to worry about prosthetics.
Thoughts?

What is Hollywoods obsession with turning animated movies into live action remakes and claiming it's more mature
Its implying that animation is for kids again
What is America's stigma against animation and implying it's only for kids
If they watched fritz the cat they'd realize how fucking adult animation can be
I want to force people to watch good rated r animated movies and adult animes ( not hentai ) because people need to wake up and realize animation isn't just for children so we can expand our horizons
It's a medium not a genre. Once we realize that we can do so much more with the art form
We can make actually good adult animated shows that aren't adult rated Bec or cussing or violence, or things that edgy teens think is adult
Because rn animation aimed at children is more mature than these shows aimed at "adults" ever could be people just have their heads too deep inside of their ass to realize that
#i hate Live action remakes#i hate this stigma towards animation#animation#live action remake#i hate it#i hate this so much#ive finally snapped#httyd made me snap#why Hollywood#why are you do obsessed with this#Rant#animation rant#i hate this#i hate this obsession#animation is for everyone#not just for children#animation is a medium not a genre#fuck live action remakes#boycott disney#boycott live action remakes

The SUMMARY Of This Whole Current Debacles Of Animation Industry
Netflix Canceled Majority of their Original Animated Kids Content after the Realignment of their Animation Department and their Stocks Plummeted at NASDAQ e.g. City Of Ghosts!!
HBO Max (Now called Max, By Warner Bros. Discovery) Canceled and erased majority of Cartoon Network Content and their Kids Animated Original Content, e.g. Over The Garden Wall, Infinity Train, Final Space etc. To Cut Costs!!
The Walt Disney Company is just replacing Human Jobs with AI, for Art Creating and Script Writing Purposes, however there's no Animated Content in this year's massive Purged Content list of Disney+ had been announced, but who knows what will happen next!!
Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures are going to rely on Popular IP based Movies (SpongeBob, PAW Patrol, Avatar, Transformers) to be released in Theatres over the Original Ideas based Movies!!
Speaking of Nickelodeon and Paramount, their Streaming Service, Paramount+ removed several Animated Content from their Platform, after the Cancelation and Removal of Star Trek: Prodigy, e.g. Pig Goat Banana Cricket, Becca's Bunch, Digby Dragon, Monsters vs. Aliens and Most Notably, My Favourite Nick Jr. Show after Oswald ended, Peter Rabbit!! Also, Star Trek: Prodigy has been removed everywhere on Nickelodeon, including, Nickelodeon's Website, nick.com!!
As of August 2023, Cartoon Network Studios at Burbank, California, got officially Shut Down, as the Studio Operations merged with Warner Bros. Television Animation, just like Hanna-Barbera Studios!!
And Finally, when WGA and SAG-AFTRA Strikes are ongoing, The Unemployment Rate in The Animation Industry has gone at an Insane High!!
The Animation Fandom have gone way more Toxic than ever before!!
Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network are not interested to Greenlit any project for the better or worse!!
Ain't this Depressing, as an Ardent Animation Fan?? When Last Year, The Owl House got canceled, the fans protested on Twitter/X by using #SaveTheOwlHouse, and when this year, Star Trek: Prodigy got canceled and removed from existence, we are protesting by using #SaveStarTrekProdigy, I will ask you this question!!
"Will you Accept these Debacles in Animation World as The Future of Animation??"
Because, right now, it is true fact, that the Animation Fandom is not quiet ready to see the destruction of Animation in their bare eyes!!
But what shall we do?? The Fandom of This Miraculous Ladybug/PAW Patrol Duopoly and the Bootlickers of Egoistic Showrunners like Thomas Astruc, will still support the Duopoly, no matter how much we make them the noises that respect and give other shows a chance, don't sleep on them!! We will listen, we will see, we won't take any action, and we still be in Silence after all the Debacles, and the Freedom of Speech will be taken away from us!!
And in Next Year, when The Animation Guild (TAG) goes on Strike, we see more and more animated series gets the Cancelation and Purge from Streaming Services, like suppose at this rate of condition, if Next Year, Disney Channel's Series, Marvel's Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, cancels at Disney TVA, and the fans will again protest on Social media by Using #SaveMGADD, I will come back and ask the Question again!! And this cycle will go on and on and on!! Unless, we have to take action against the unfairness, this Corporate Studios and Money-hungry Showrunners have created!!
So, let me ask you this question one last time, Animation Fans all over the world!!
"Will You Accept these Debacles of this Animation World as The Future of Animation??"
We have to Take Action Right Now, Before it's too Late!!
But,
Is this one Tumblr Post enough, to Reach Out to Others, and Talk about this Issue???

I’m not really someone who wants to weigh in on what’s been going on with animation, but after the miracle of streaming came to be and Hollywood executives saw what they could do with their franchises and businesses, I realized I couldn’t remain silent any longer. I’ve had it with so many greedy executive producers acquiring film and animation studios that were never theirs to begin with, and shutting down various animation studios for the sake of corporate greed, as well as the cancellation of various projects for stupid bills to “keep their companies afloat”! Enough is enough! They are not only trying to steal our childhoods, but our futures as well as the futures of many children who aspire to become animators(even if the shows they watch are brainrot lol).
As you probably know already, the Animation Guild is holding a “Stand with animation” rally today in Burbank, and I thought to myself why not hold my own rally at my home, although being a thousand miles from where I’m from. So, I did hold my own protest but it was very hot outside so I had to come back inside but while the WGA and IATSE continue to defend for their professions and futures, I thought it would be wise to post some of the posters that I’ve made throughout 2024. I was originally wanting to protest on my own on March, I thought today was the right time to do it.
Notice that the 3rd sign, I made was featuring Kitty Bobo, who I would’ve loved to have gotten a chance to greenlight since it didn’t back in 2001. David Zaslav, I still haven’t not forgiven you for shutting down Cartoon Network Studios and Rooster Teeth for the sake of “money, money, money”, and I’m still mad that you closed down the Cartoon Network website for that aforementioned reason, and on behalf of many kids and NEETs right now who wanted to work there as well as other studios recently shut down unjustly, you will not get away with robots being your prized possessions! Time is up, Zaslav!!

Once again, this was a year full of great comebacks and new premieres. Both on the professional and independent side, Western artists have shown once again how much there is still to offer in this medium. Please, show your support to those productions that really deserve it!

i think most webtoons should be left alone and away from corporate executives, however IF they start making some more tv show adaptions of webtoons, they should all be animated shows because every time a live action adaption of a webtoon has been made, they all suck, and also because animation FUCKS HARD

The Fallen TV Animation Empire
Chapter 1: The Rise of Television Animation with Saturday Morning Block
On August 18th, 2023 - I made a Post titled "The Summary of this whole current Debacles of Animation Industry" on this very Tumblr Page, @aniketsanimationblog, and you, animation fans, have expressed the concerns about What is Going on in The Global Animation Industry as a Whole, I am glad by that!! I am so thankful to those who expressed this concerns and realised that Animation is in Danger. Because, what happened in the Last Year, When Nickelodeon and Paramount+ Canceled and Removed Star Trek: Prodigy from their platforms at that time, until Netflix saved it to stream the entire Season 2 in one-go, just paint a big picture in the Animation Community. Last Year, Star Trek: Prodigy's Cancelation and Removal was not just the omission or abandonment of a Star Trek Show set in their universe or the best Star Trek Show in the Alex Kurtzman's Era of New Star Trek Shows, but also a big Massive Shocker of a Serialised Animated Kids' Show, that had a chance to become Nickelodeon's Next Avatar: The Last Airbender, betrayed by their own original Network, is like committing a Seppuku.
And it happened at the same time or before that incident, when most of the great Animated Series at the same time were Canceled/Canceled + Removed/Sabotaged by their respective Broadcasters, showing the Dismays of Fandoms of their respective shows. Now either only a handful of Good shows are left or there is nothing to watch at all, because of Kids TV Broadcasters' Greed and most notably Animation Community's Biasness towards Shows that, nowadays, have become a Money Generator, and no longer serving any good quality things to the fans, whatsoever, once they had in their prime, in the first place.
Now depending on who you may ask, "How did this Happen? What Happened to the Kids Television, once we used to love since our Childhoods, have gone in their Worst Phases now?"
Well, to understand why this happened, we need to go to the history of how this Kids TV Animation had started to build its Large Empire.
To understand the history of Kids TV Animation, we need to go back to where it all started. Since, it's a long history, and for context, The Kids TV Animation first started in the United States of America, as Hollywood were the only film industry to create Animation Renaissance from the big screens, they are also responsible for creating Majority of their Animations in the Small screens, we have to go back all the way to 1928. This is the year, when Walter Elias Disney, as we all know him as the legendary Pioneer and The Father of Animation, released his iconic Cartoon Character, Mickey Mouse's First Short film, "Steamboat Willie". At that time, "Steamboat Willie" was released over on Hollywood Theatres. But at the same time, there was an experiment happened at the small screens, aka The Television, with some limited animation cartoons appeared on TV with one of the images of "Felix The Cat". And remember, at that time, TV was available to some people who could afford TV, when majority of people weren't ready to switch from Traditional Radio. So, a handful of People watched that experiment going on.
Then some Animated TV movies happened like, "Willie The Worm" by Chad Grothkopf. It was an Eight-minute experimental TV Movie in Animated form.
But all changed in 1950s when, TV Animation started to broadcast like, "Crusader Rabbit" and "Colonel Bleep" etc.
But the First TV Animated Series came along, consisting of Animated Shorts, "Captain Kangaroo", by the Terrytoons, which is often referred to as, "One of the Finest Cartoons to ever produce on TV".
But the Cartoons, at that time, was seen primarily as "Children's Entertainment" by some Movie Exhibitors.
In 1954, Walt Disney capitalized on the Medium of Animation to Showcase on TV, with his weekly show, "Disneyland", which was broadcasted by US Terrestrial Channel, ABC, which expanded later to "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color".
But as soon as Television popularized in the US, the people were slowly moving away from their traditional Radios and Movie Theatres, to the Compact form of Entertainment, Television. And thus, a new format was started to develop for TV Animation for Children, "The Saturday Morning Blocks", as the name suggests, the TV Animation would only be broadcasted on Saturday Mornings, because on Weekdays, The Kids are at their Schools, and on Sunday, With the American Football games clogging up the Sunday Schedules. At that time, there were no Cable systems, people were relying on Terrestrial Channels like ABC, CBS and NBC. And thus, American Children of that era were having a Ritual of watching Cartoons on Saturday Mornings.
And thus, some Television Animation Production Studios came afloat at the time. Such as, Filmation, Depatie-Freleng Enterprises, UPA Studios, Warner Brothers with their Merry Melodies, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (MGM) with their first classic iteration of Tom & Jerry until it's collapse in 1957, Disney Studios, and the leader of all Studios, Hanna-Barbera Studios, by the Creators of Tom & Jerry, William Hanna and Joseph Barbera.
For the Starters, 1960s era was the era, when TV Animation boomed with mostly H-B Studios, "The Ruff & Reddy Show", then "The Huckleberry Hound Show", "The Yogi Bear Show" and most notably, "The Flinstones", which was like an Half-an-hour Animated Sitcom series, aired on ABC, which was their biggest successful show on Studio History, running for 6 years, alongside The Jetsons and Top Cat.
Hanna-Barbera had the common Trope used in most of their series, featuring atleast an Anthropomorphic Animal and a Child Character, up until they created "Scooby-Doo! Where are you?" in 1969 for CBS. Many incarnations of Scooby-Doo spawned for 17 seasons on CBS and then ABC, uninterruptedly with their new formula of A Group of Teens solving Supernatural mysteries or Fighting Crime. And they are the ones, who started with their Limited Animation Technologies at that time for Artistic Reasons.
Disney Studios had their fair share of Animated Shows, showcased on TV, most notably The Mickey Mouse shorts including characters from the Mickey Mouse Universe, as we all know today, and also "Winnie The Pooh".
The Studio still had a decent amount of TV Animated Series, even after Walt Disney's Demise on 15th December 1966.
At the time of 1960s, there were several Animation Artists, mostly Animators, that are still called Legendary/Veteran Artists, like Walt Disney, William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, Tex Avery, Chuck Jones, Gene Deitch, David H. Depatie, Friz Freleng, Don Bluth, to name a few.
But as Time went on, the Kids TV Animation was changed for a new era, that is beyond just only for "Saturday Mornings".
To be continued...
Next Post, Chapter 2: The Fall of Saturday Morning Cartoons and Rise of American Cable Television for Kids TV Animation.
