So one of the most interesting (and well known) things about behind the scenes on King of The Hill is the do's and don'ts manual put together for the animators. Outside of providing a good basis for the designs of the characters, you can also see a lot of the personalities that would develop as the series went on (especially in Hank's don'ts). These are really interesting and there are a lot more in both the article linked and around the internet, so be sure to check them out if you haven't. I'm still trying to learn more about these so if anyone has any extra info lmk! (Also I am a massive fan of dog-Hank in the bottom right corner)

for how much i love to drag pngs around, it turns out that i actually don't know how to animate all too well

random note about king on that animation, i got really lucky with how simple his animation was and how clean my sketches were to begin with that i was able to do very minimal cleanup on what i had sketched (and add back. his horn. it's supposed to take place just after echoes of the past, Oops) and call it done that way instead of having to redraw the entire thing like i had to on his dad

first sketch > line cleanup > nearly final animation (i'd added slight eye movements last-second but otherwise that's the final)

Yes and yes! Technically I haven't made the yellow scenario canon to the au yet (the original plan upon drawing that was that no one would know King's intent but the mercenaries are not that stupid and also they have. idk cameras and stuff probably </3) but!
