3: What’s something you learned about yourself as a writer?

Mostly that writing angst is super easy for me lol. Also figured out I can write relationships, love & stuff like that but for me personally? Nah, I don’t have any feelings or the want. (Heyyy figuring out your own sexuality is crazy)

Definitely this one Feels Like the World's Gonna End (But I'll Get You Through) I got it all done within like a few hours of coming up with the idea.

OH MY GOD THIS BOYS CAPACITY TO LOVE. Like Steve's ability to open up his heart and the way he cares SO FUCKING MUCH. Like he stays in the hospital in s1 after the house scene, he loves Nancy enough to absolve her of guilt before she even has any, S3 he sacrifices himself so easily s4??? I'm just so. He really just opens up to everyone and isn't afraid to be open, which in a show full of repressed nerds is so refreshing. Steve has so many emotions!!!! (That's why he and Eddie work together lol)

Steve's Italian heritage!!!! Steve's Nonna helped to raise him (part of why he's such an absolute sweetheart) and she taught him all her recipes! He still has her recipe book with her hard to read cursive. He can't really read it (because dyslexia makes it hard enough to read regular print) but Eddie knows about it and he reads the recipes out loud for Steve

I think that Steve in season one was not that bad. People treat him live he was like the devil and he said some really unforgivable things but he also immediately regretted it and bought Jonathan a new camera and did so much to try and make up for the things he did that he knew were wrong!!! Eh I just season one Steve was not a villain he was just a guy!!!

I did get this one already, but I have another, because I believe obnoxious tourists can be a pet peeve. I live in a small city that gets a lot of tourists in the summer and for the most part it's fine, but jfc, the ones that stand out really stand out. I have so many stories about tourists from the gift shop I used to work at...

33: If money was no object, what would your wardrobe be like?

This is actually a little hard to answer right now! Currently going through some Gender Things so it's a bit up in the air, but I do like my all black, cut-up tees, ripped jeans, patch jacket look right now. Though that's all easily doable with little money anyway xD

4. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?

AT LAST COUNT i had 100+ fics in the actual oven cooking and more wip ideas aside. That was a month ago. So probably like. Double that or some shit.

and sure i'll share one. I'm working on a barely-a-fic-mostly-a-game fic wherein you play Vortex in a choice based novel running around deliberately trying to get on Motormaster's nerves. This is all for the sake of it being really funny to get on Motormaster's nerves.

Motormaster is the leader of a team of Decepticons known as the Stunticons. All five of them are loose-cannon losers who talk so big they could never possibly hope to live up to what they claim. Motormaster in particular has a temper on him like a stick of dynamite someone left in a furnace-- explosive, dangerous, and liable to go off basically without provocation. It is really fucking funny to set him off, because it's so easy and you can do it so often without him getting wise. Trouble is that he will then beat you up. That objectively just makes it funnier as long as there's something wrong with you. Your name is Vortex. This is the best thing that's ever happened to you.

11. Is writing your passion or just a fun hobby?

I don't actually know how to answer this. Yes and no? I can't not write, but writing isn't going to be my life and I'm not making it be so. I don't want to live off my writing, I want to have a job that pays real money so I can eat. You know? It's a fun hobby because I will force it to stay that way by beating it back with a baseball bat if needs be. It is never graduating from its position as thing that I do for fun.

But like, no, I can't not write, it's not just a hobby any more than art is for me. But it's still a fun hobby. I don't know. I'm not really sure what the definition for "my passion" is, either- I'm passionate about everything.

20. Describe your perfect writing conditions.

I am not expected to do anything for the day

It is warm enough that I can sit still without my feet getting cold

I have easy access to sugary drinks, caffienated or not doesn't matter, and they are warm (ie: tea, coffee, hot cocoa)

I have an idea I like and I've slept well enough to think words with my brain

I have music I like that I can listen to as opposed to music I find boring as fuck to listen to (this only happens like once every three days because I get bored of music so fast lately)

Something is happening in my house but I am not obligated to care, so that if I get bored I can go get up and say hi to someone in the kitchen and then go back to writing

There's easily-made food in the house

My computer is okay with being moved from room to room and i have more than one room to go hang out in

Someone is online on the internet that I can send snippets to without having to talk to them for more than 20 minutes and lose The Juice

my hands don't hurt and i don't have a headache

I know these are the ideal conditions because these are the conditions under which i can write 5000+ words and 10+ stories in one sitting and not feel drained at the end. Do you know how difficult that is? It is not easy lmfao. I've genuinely optimized that shit. this is why i write so much more during the summer even barring school- discomfort makes it way harder for me to write and the cold is always discomfortable for me lmfao

16. Do you write by hand, on your phone, or on your laptop?

Because I am Poor™ and couldn't afford to buy a laptop, I used to write almost exclusively on my phone. The entirety of Behind Closed Doors, which is close to 90K words from what I remember, was written on mobile. It was mostly for lack of other options, to be honest. After saving up for a while, I've bought myself a little writing laptop a few weeks ago and it's a godsend. I can't believe I used to get by without this.

24. How do you choose whose POV to write in?

Ooh, this is a good one! For one-shots, it just happens. I start writing and then it's just a matter of keeping the same POV throughout the story. For longer fics, where I switch the POVs a lot, I try to think whose emotions and inner thoughts would be most interesting in this particular scene and then write that character.

56. Are there any fics that you would change or rewrite if given the chance?

I've recently put down a fic that had a good premise but a terrible execution. It was resting on three huge plot holes and the way it was written, from a purely technical standpoint, made me cringe. I wish I could write that one again someday.

It would also be nice to fix my Shepard Twins fic. AKA rewrite it completely.

74. Do you have a fic you wish got a bit more love?

Honestly, who doesn't wish all their fics got a bit more love? As for me, I'm just slightly anxious that everything I've been posting lately hasn't received almost any feedback. My newest fics seen to have gone largely unnoticed and that scares me.

Actually you know what I just filtered my works by kudos and what the fuck my Kryterius fic deserves more love! I know I'm primarily a Shakarian writer, but that is one of the fics I'm most proud of!

“Shit, shit, shit, shit.” Eddie runs his hands through his hair in frustration.

He’s anxiously pacing around his bedroom, questioning every life choice he’s ever made.

“You ok, boy?” Wayne pops his head into Eddie’s doorway.

“I fucked up. I fucked up soooooo bad. He’s never gonna talk to me again. Why did I do that? I’m such an idiot.” 

Wayne saunters into Eddie’s room and sits on the edge of his mattress. He pats the space beside him, motioning for Eddie to join him.

“What happened?”

Eddie huffs and sits next to Wayne before falling back on the mattress, his hair flopping around him. “Steve. I lied to Steve. Perfect, gorgeous, beautiful, Steve. I’m an idiot.” Eddie covers his eyes with his arm and groans. “I just…he’s so perfect, and I didn’t think there was any way…what do I do, Wayne?”

“What was the lie?”

“That I had a date this weekend.”

“Wasn’t your D&D thing this weekend?”

“Yeeeesss,” Eddie kicks his legs like a frustrated toddler. “I’m an idiot. I didn’t think it through. I just didn’t want him to regret what happened and not make him nervous or freak out or whatever. I didn’t think about it. I just said it to take the pressure off us, off of him.”

“Did somethin’ happen between you two?”

“Yeah…” Eddie trails off, remembering the feel of Steve’s body against his. “It was good…perfect. Best day of my life, and I fucked it up.” He chuckles with a lack of humor.

“Why’d you tell him you had a date if you didn’t and had such a nice time?”

“I was nervous. I didn’t want him to hate me. I thought he’d freak out and regret it.”

“Did he seem like he was upset?”

Eddie sat up, leaning back against his palms. “N-no, I didn’t want him to get upset, so preventative, more or less.”

“Had he made it clear you two were only friends? Didn’t want more?”

“No, not exactly. Steve’s never…I was…He doesn’t want that.” Wayne has always supported Eddie but doesn’t want to cross a line for Steve and share too much.

“I’ve seen you two together. Has he said that outright? Or are you making decisions for the boy?”

“No…it’s just…” Eddie sits up and leans his elbows on his knees.

“You two should talk. And stop making assumptions and let him tell you what he wants.” Wayne lays his palm against Eddie’s upper back and rubs in comforting circles.

“I didn’t want to lose him,” Eddie says quietly.

“And you won’t if you’re honest and talk to him, but if you keep trying to trick him, boy, you will.”

“Fuck, what if he doesn’t want to talk to me?”

“I’m gonna guess he wants some answers. Sure, he’s probably mad, but he’s also probably confused. He doesn’t know why you did it, so who knows what he’s thinking instead.”

“Oh god,” Eddie lets his head fall, his hair shielding his face. “So stupid.”

“Well, I gotta head to work, but good luck, ok? We can talk tomorrow if you want.”

“Thanks. Hopefully, I won’t have a black eye the next time you see me.”

“You won’t.” Wayne gently pushes Eddie’s shoulder, then stands and heads out of the room.

Eddie falls back onto the mattress with a huff, dreading the idea of facing Steve.

6. Good song for writing

Personally I don't always use music for writing, but when I do, it needs to not have any lyrics on it, because I'll start singing along and I won't write anything. I usually go for original soundtracks to evoke a particular feeling.

I like the soundtrack of Your Name (Kimi no Nawa) of the band Radwimps if I'm going for soft or angst (Mitsuha's theme is spectacular).

If I want to go for some intense build up, I'll definitely go with Closing Credits: Bolero (Moulin Rouge). This one is perfect for a climatic moment.

If I'm writing something calm, but I need a dark feeling, Erik Satie's Gnossienne No. 1 is absolutely perfect. Even for reading dark shit.

And I'm gonna go with the next question, because this could become easily a neverending list.

She fell in love with Vetra! What first drew Jaciel to Vetra was her swagger, confidence and smooth moves on the battlefield. Also that Vetra was a bit mysterious at the time.

Finding out about Vetras past and her sister, it became clear to Jazz that Vetra is a very caring person, dependable and has a great personality. Which made Jazz really start to fall for her. 

James would approve of the relationship because Jaciel is happy and Vetra’s trustworthy which is what he cares about most. Doesn’t matter about that fact that Vetra’s not human, he’s not judgemental and doesn’t discriminate.
