This question isn’t directly at you, but I’d really appreciate it if you shared your insight as well. I just wanted to reach an audience that has epilepsy or some kind of seizure disorder.

Does anyone else have a really low mood when taking lamotrigine? I was recently upped to 800 mg and my depression is taking over. I know different people have different reactions but does anyone else who may be or has been on lamotrigine experience this?

The question is very medication specific and I can not speak from a pharmacist perspective.

I did take lamotrigine in the first few years of my diagnosis and it didn't work for me personally. I don't remember if it affected my mood or caused me issues with depression etc., because a lot of that could also be chalked up to being an angsty teenager at age 13-16.

So I'm passing this one on to everyone else to share their experiences and opinions.

Please keep in mind that this is obviously very subjective and the side effects of medication can be hard to prove.

👀👀😬😬😲😲 so I just read the latest chapter of to kidnap a lotus flower and damn 👁️👄👁️ it really was a blood bath . The dark side of niko is so scary. With him stabbing remi, cutting Creighton's face and breaking Landon's leg... That too in front of Bran, I am convinced Bran will have the worst mental breakdown. Like with niko harming his family and then keeping him away for one whole year🥺 I don't even know how bran will cope with all these.

Not to mention Lan. He must be so devastated, niko giving him ultimatum like that. So this is why Lan goes into his dark mode

I am just so excited to see the whole king family coming together, especially protective Levi, Aiden and Johnathan 😁😁

Let me go through my communities tag without some dumbo thinking it’s okay to tag their potentially seizure inducing gifs not with a recognized content warning but instead with the name of the disorder.

My boyfriend made a great comparison. Imagine if you wanted to go into the tag about chronic migraines but when you did an audio autoplayed of people screaming.

And I always message or comment on this people’s posts informing them, they’re always quick to apologize and fix it. But that shows me that it’s like man are people that truly ignorant?

I feel you. The community has been making PSAs and info posts for years now but it never manages to reach everyone and it is highly frustrating. I almost wish that if you posted a gif, that you just could not physically tag it with epilepsy. or that the tag on that post would auto correct to flashing lights... I tag a lot of my posts with epilepsy, but I really recommend switching to browsing "actually epileptic" instead of the "epilepsy" tag if you're photosensitive.

It sometimes feels like people assume, because epilepsy is not openly talked about in public and real life, and usually more treated as a "hush hush"-subject that you want to avoid as best as possible, that the actual condition tag is not being used by people with epilepsy. Fact of the matter is, I think there is so much to talk about, flashing lights aside.
