There is one!

It's right after Virginia tells Henry he needs to "stake his claim" (i.e. pick out his room in the Creel house) and kisses him on the cheek. Henry is immediately drawn to the attic, which has a spider infestation. Upon spotting one, he kneels down and scoops it up. After playing with it for a little, he decides to keep it as a pet and pulls a mason jar out of his suitcase to contain it. It's actually quite sweet, and it showcases how gentle he is by nature.

This scene feeds directly into his first connection with Patty, when he hears her praying to Wonder Woman over the radio after jarring the spider. She asks to be made invisible so her day will go smoothly and she can be normal, to which Henry responds "Amen". This comes through Patty's radio, they exchange bewildered hellos, and then Patty asks if she's speaking to Wonder Woman.

The actual dialogue goes like this:

Patty: Dear...Wonder Woman. I know this isn't technically canon, but if you could just make me invisible, yeah, just for today? Because I'm trying, I am, but it's...really hard. And I don't know what's wrong with me, but I'd really love to just be normal. Yeah. Because it's pretty— Henry and Patty, in unison: Lonely— Patty: I'm not asking for a miracle, I'm just asking for a sign. Henry: Amen. Henry (via Patty's radio): Amen. Patty: Hello? Henry: Hello? Patty: Wonder Woman???

A side note: I loved seeing Patty equate Henry to a woman in the context Lonnie's line about the drama club being lesbians, Karen scrambling for the chance to kiss Patty in auditions, and Patty yearning to be "pretty and normal" like the other girls in her choir. Smells like lesbianism...smells like comphet, equating the boy you "have a crush on" to a female superhero while calling girls in the choir/drama club "pretty", the same drama club girls who are labeled as lesbians. A Patty-Karen ship...when...it would be good for my soul...

Also funny that Patty later calls Henry and his gifts a miracle, which is supposedly a good thing, only to have this line about her "not asking for a miracle" before she even meets Henry. She's not asking for a miracle, folks. She's not asking for Henry.

Okay but can we talk about the fact that volume 2 is a literal assassination of the best season aka s2?

In s2 we got three major new characters - Bob, Billy and Max. Bob died in s2, Billy in s3 and ig they're now trying to get rid of Max in s4

Eleven's character development in s2 - absolutely destroyed by v2, she apparently has no self-worth and is codependent on Mike.

The main character of season 2 was Will - in v2 he has less time than anybody, and his character is used to bring up the toxic bullshit by making him the sad gay crushing his own heart for the worst

Beautiful Jancy line in s2 - in v2 they still lie to each other and never got through their issues.

Byler romantic or platonic - total destruction. It's about Mike, who was able to know how Will is feeling at one glance, who could identify Will by breathing, not noticing or not giving a single fuck when Will is having a breakdown right beside him.

Mike - complex and realistic character in season 2 was turned into just "El's boyfriend" no motivation, no growth(regression, actually). He is the worst character in the ST by far, and we had Billy. He is either struggling with internalized homophobia, which would give him depth and conflict, or just homophobic and hypocritical for no reason.

Mind Flayer in his Shadow Form was the best antagonist of the whole show, he was scary, unnerving, he was looming over and always watching, manipulating characters through Will and making complex schemes, we never knew what he was, or what he wants and it made him terrifying - not understanding it, like a demogorgon it was like a wild animal. And now well. Apparently it was this dumb looking Vecna, who has no motivation to be evil except to be evil i guess.

IYO, any red flags/deal breakers one should look out for when following larrie blogs here? already blocked the GIF making ones (cuz they're mostly blouies) and the big ones, who loves the drama.

hmmm... I mean there are loads of blogs on here that seem like cool people but who I don't follow cause they post lots of stuff that isn't what I personally want to have to scroll through, be it full on deal breakers or just stuff that's uninteresting to me and untagged- like there's just a whole spectrum going from eh not for me to holy shit I wish I could fucking delete that blog. But you're asking about the far end of that spectrum, so... um I guess for me: people who state their theories as facts/ don't seem to understand the difference between theories and fact. People who want to delete other peoples' blogs tbh, like who think that if someone disagrees with their theory they need to be Dealt With and Schooled, so I guess I wouldn't actually delete anyone's blogs. I just don't like cops be it the real kind or just people acting like them, like thinking some fanfic is Bad and needs to be censored, or believing that not thinking Louis and Harry are married is punishable, or insisting that their lyric analysis is CORRECT and the only possible one, or who think taking a job pretending to be someone's partner publicly is morally Wrong and they are Bad People. IDK though, I think I have distanced myself so far from the really nasty shit that I'm forgetting some bigger bad flags maybe? in any event my personal shit under the cut why not

My personal NOs are: if someone is super negative and hateful all the time, be it about someone in the 1D-sphere or other segments of fandom (I worry that I'm one of these kinds of blogs to someone but I do try not to be), or who publish anti anons spewing their gross hate and nasty theories, even if its to make fun of them: hate just depresses me, even directed at targets I also dislike. It truly lowers my mood in a way that is hard for me to shake. Likewise if someone's blog is all asks or posts with the worst takes I've ever seen, regardless of how thoughtful their counterpoints, it's just not my thing. You can be hilarious or very correct in replying, but I already had to read that shit and it genuinely depresses me to be reminded how terrible people (and their takes) can be. It's the same reason I blacklist Tr*mp and shit like that you know? So with fandom, like the news, I'll go looking sometimes to see what's being said or to track down something I see people referencing but I want to be able to scroll without being blindsided by it. But maybe what ruins your day is something different? I have pals who find anti trolls hilarious and seek them out to see what they're up to, but flat out blacklist totally different stuff that I might roll my eyes at but not really be bothered by. But also my YESes! When I come on here I know what I wanna see: 1) a bunch of pics of Louis cause he makes me happy 2) some funny takes and memes 3) the people I follow having funny or insightful commentary on new pics or whatever in their tags or telling me some bts type info, I love knowing all the details and gossip 4) intellectually stimulating but emotionally low stakes discourse that doesn't involve anyone spewing hate at anyone else 5) enough UA type content to know what everyone is up to 6) enough clues about what's going on with the fandom or in the non-UA type updates (like, what did people figure out from that official post) to figure out if I wanna go find the drama and roll my eyes or comment. So that's what I look for!
