Hi when you chose ns instead of sn what made you choose the top/bottom dynamic between them? Personality or physical appearance or something else? Since sn is the more popular one would it have been better since there is more content or would you still prefer ns?

Their CANON personality. Cause top/bottom imo isn't just a se/xual thing, is an extention of their whole personalities.

The fact that kishi portrayed them as yin (=assertive, sun, N*ruto) and yang (=passive, moon, Sasuke), not the opposite.

N*ruto is very assertive, very dominant, with every character, especially with Sas. The whole bringing him back to the village even if he has to break all his bones is quite self-explanatory. He's the one who chases after Sas, literally.

Sasuke is passive, but some ppl don't get this because they mistake his quick reactions to stuff happening for assertiveness...it's wrong and it shows how superficial some fans are, cause the whole time Sasuke has been reacting, not acting. It's different. He reacted quickly and energically because that's how their universe works, and especially him had be, strong enough to have his revenge and survive. But he always reacted, changing plans according to new situations happening, new truths falling upon him. Nevertheless in interactions with other characters he's passive. He doesn't chase anyone (except for Itachi, who had conditioned him to do so in order to give him a reason to keep on living), he doesn't impose his will on anyone, he lets others free to follow him or not (like Team Taka). Passive doesn't mean weak.

I don't even like SNS cause their canon personalities are not SNS-ish at all. But SN is really gross to me, just like SI. SN portrayals with hyper sex/ual dominant Sas are ridiculous, even the art is usually, the poses, the facial/body traits are altered to make them fit the stereotype, bonus points when N*ruto is girly or shy...all this is out of character. It's self-insert actually. And if someone ships that stuff because they like it good for them, but when they try to sell it as in character, omg no. So I don't care if there is more content, cause that content is out of character and gross to look at imo.

aside from the fact that everyone can't figure out the depth of naruto and sasuke's bond, it's genuinely so funny that on the surface, they know just how much those boys influence each other because kakashi openly says that naruto's driving force is sasuke then obito says that naruto was meant to be the pawn to test sasuke. it even came to the point that all you need to do is say their name and the other one would fucking react. orochimaru perfected that tactic and triggered feral naruto. they might not understand that bond but they know how it works on surface level. and they take advantage of it.

Many fans did though. Many men were complaining during part 2 manga on how Kishi made Naruto act too gay/thirsty for Sasuke. Currently KingChris makes funny anime shorts, including ones making fun of Sakura and Hinata marrying Sasuke and Naruto despite the fact the latters are attracted to each other and not them. They get millions of likes, and the comments are full of fans going “yeah this is the whole show”. There’s the Real Housewives of Konoha series where Sakura gets trolled all the time for marrying a gay man, and for being satisfied with a stupid poke, and there’s plenty of implications of Naruto and Sasuke having an affair behind their wives backs. One anime reviewer said when chapter 698 dropped he got angry messages in all of his social media from people saying they are sick of Kishimoto pushing gay agenda on them. There are countless memes about the gayness like this from user shikqmaru from instagram:

Only ss/nh/other people in denial deny it. They will go “there’s no proof that they are gay”, “they are brothers”, “Sasuke and Sakura looked at each other in that one panel, that means they are in love”, “Naruto was nice to Hinata couple times, that means he always loved her”, “Naruto and Sasuke being in love with each other is the most delusional thing ever”, “this is shonen, gay characters don’t exist in shonen except as jokes”. And so on and so on.

And yet, ss/nh can’t shake off the gay allegiations... it bothers many of them, maybe not the popular tumblr bloggers who only stay in their own echo chamber where they go “Sasuke poking Sakura’s head means she’s more important to him than Naruto!” while possibly not even being aware millions of people are laughing at Sakura for wasting her life being married to a disinterested man who loves another man and not her.

And knowing exactly what to answer. Answering with a word he doesn't have to explain to Naruto what it means, the same way Naruto doesn't have to explain what "friend" means to him. Naruto is Sasuke's usuratonkachi, his one and only friend, with who Sasuke shares his pain, who saved Sasuke.

At this point Sasuke asks this because he wants to hear the answer. The way people just like hearing "I love you", Sasuke just wants to hear Naruto say he is his friend, because of the meaning Naruto gives to this word.

At this point, I think Naruto sits on the floor because he knows Sasuke will offer his hand to help him get up.

See how the answer to that "what are you" question is still not "your brother"? This two have yet to adress each other as "brother", the same way Sasuke did with Itachi.

Obviously, anything BORUTO related is dismissed by me and this game is just redoing the final chapters of NARUTO but reversed and not as good, nothing new here. Also they know which characters pay the bills lmao. But it's nice to recognize Naruto and Sasuke's characters, seeing them act like themselves and see their real dynamic again.

why does sns exist? I saw your posts about their fandom and like why the ship sucks in general so why is it even shipped? Why is there so much of this horrible shit? When I go into my Pinterest that's supposed to be full of Sakura and sasusaku, all those sns stuff come on 😭🤬

honestly i have no idea what influenced people to start shipping sns when their relationship is entirely platonic/brotherly, and they are also quite literally the reincarnations of brothers. it may have to do with the lack of queer representation in naruto, but this show also came out in the early 2000s where the LGBTQ+ community was not nearly as supported as they are today (there are still plenty of issues, but society has progressed tremendously in the last 20 years). not to mention that naruto is not a romance anime, and the canon ships were very obviously implied back in the earliest parts of the series so idgi

other non canon gay ships like iruka x kakashi, kakashi x gai, kakashi x yamato, narugaa, etc etc make way more sense than narusasu. people can ship whoever they want, but sns stans can ship their ship without bashing ss and nh stans or crosstagging.

Sasuke is easily manipulated. does that mean he is quite naive?

Kishi said that Sasuke is pure. Through Itachi he also said that Sasuke is a blank slate that everyone can paint their color.

What we see is that Sasuke is an extremely honest person, that he's sincere and direct. He trusted his father, his clan and his brother, whom he kept on trusting (=believing his story) even when he wanted to kill him. So he can have some naivete in him, but he's not so naive that he doesn't know when someone is trying to manipulate him or obtain something from him.

He's easily manipulated by the ones he trusts. But when he doesn't trust someone he doesn't get manipulated, for example he knew/suspected that Orochimaru would turn him into his next vessel and was ok with it as long as he became stronger to have his revenge. He knew Akatsuki would use Team Taka but he accepted to carry on the mission they were assigned.

He's naive when it comes to feelings, cause he doesn't understand S*kura's manipulative attempts to make him get closer to her through pity, faking a submissive attitude and N*ruto (S*kura stans don't interact), in their final fight, not listening or objecting to any of his arguments, based on logic, instead hitting on emotions and pointing out Sasuke's loneliness and mentioning Itachi, Sasuke's most important person.
