💖 Day 3.5 is now available! 💖

For the last couple of months, only Server Boosters had access to the 3.5 update... Buuuuut now it's available for everyone to play in the 14DWY Discord — and soon itch.io once I'm happy with the QA and state of the game — so please don't feel pressured to join unless you want to!!

What's been added to the 3.5 version?

📺 Streamer Mode!

I've been told that it's difficult to stream and monetise age-restricted videos on YouTube and Twitch, so I added an option to remove the sexual content and strong language used in the demo.

Now y'all can invite Ren into your bed for cuddles without putting your streamer career on the line /silly /lh

This won't affect the 18+ rating or dark themes/elements of the game, however! Although Streamer Mode will prevent you from seeing any "gruesome" CGs in the future, most of the core elements of the game will still be tied to the choices and decisions you make. So you won't miss out on the overall experience by using streamer mode!!

⚙️ Custom Pronouns!

It only took me one entire year to get around to it, but you can finally choose your own preferred pronouns (or use a set of pronouns instead)... At the cost of being able to change them mid-game ^^;

Since the original pronoun screen wouldn't update until a new scene was displayed, I temporarily disabled the feature. But once I find a workaround, I'll bring it back!

💗 Choose how others perceive you!

You can now choose how the cast and narration perceive you! Originally, the narration was kept strictly gender-neutral (outside of pronouns and genitalia picked by the player), but this will soon change in future updates.

For more clarity: you don't get to choose the words specifically, but you can choose between masculine, feminine, and androgynous terms!

📋 Separate top and bottom genitalia!

You can now choose your tatas and pps separately! >:3

Alongside that, you can also choose your preferred body type!

I removed the "both" genitalia option because a few players still assumed it was an obscure version of "intersex". That wasn't my intention and I don't want to mislead anyone, so I took it out for now ^^;

I also didn't want to include a screenshot of the new genitalia choices in action (because it's NSFW), so y'all get the same character menu screen for the nth time instead lmao

📱 Relationship Screen Overhaul!

You can now change your own status for more immersion, and long-term Server Boosters will eventually be able to submit and use their own icon within the game as well!

Stalking finding your friends has now become easier by using "Buddy Maps"; a new app that allows you to see the location of all the cast members!

I want to offer players more incentive to check the relationship screen since they tend to miss the status updates, so hopefully this might help ;v;

It also says it "updates every few hours" so folks don't go overboard and check every 5 seconds to see where Ren is gdsghf (also keep in mind that he's a hacker lol)

🖤 Additional Scenes Update!

Day 2 received a brand new CG!!!!! Originally, I planned on only adding a few CGs sporadically throughout the game, but it didn't feel right to leave Day 2 so... empty... so I added a brand new CG to (hopefully) make things feel more balanced and natural!

If you decline Teo's offer on Day 3, Leon will now call and try to convince you to reconsider. However, players are still allowed to decline, and if they do, they'll reach a dead end.

After listening to feedback on itch, I changed some of the dialogue during Days 1-3 to make it seem more consistent! They're only small changes though, so it's honestly not worth looking for sdgjssga

🎶 Updated BGM and SFX!

I wanted to try out a different style of music to see if it fits the vibe of 14DWY more! The BGM features more acoustics to suit the "beachy" theme of Corland Bay, though I made a conscious effort to include piano elements as well to stay true to the original!!

I figured it'd be better to give players a live example before I make a poll (to see if they prefer the change or not) and publish it to Itch.

Some new SFX have also been added, though it's very minimal and honestly not that noticeable.

How to download and play the update?

(warning: clicking on the following links will open Discord!!) To download the Day 3.5 update, simply join the 14DWY Discord server, verify your age, and visit the "14dwy-updates" channel!

Alternatively, you can also wait until the update is publicly released on Itch to play it as well!! (It normally gets released shortly after a round of QA testing/getting feedback from the server, though I may release it earlier if I feel like it hehe ^^)

For starters, op claims they've witnessed the main cell personally, but if you actually check the prison's rules, visits have been banned for several months now [x]. The prison is armed with state of the art security measures, including lava, barriers, and numerous manual searches, to name just a few [x]. Speaking as an authority on the prison myself [x], I can safely confirm that these security measures, as well as the prisoner, are in perfect condition. Don't be so quick to buy into conspiracy theories.

Satoru feels his face heat up a fraction, knowing Getou notices from the way he smirks.

''Your hair has grown longer.”

''You told me you fancy men with long hair." Satoru chips.

Getou hums, reaching to stroke a few strands between his fingers. ''So I did."

''You also said my hair looks good in any style. But you like this one more."

''Did I?'' Getou seems to be humoring him at this point, his face still with lazy contentment. ''I can't seem to remember," he laughs, though it's short.

''You also said it matches my eyes and skin,'' Satoru continues on. He leans downward this time, pressing closer to Getou so their noses are a mere inch apart. 

Getou arches his brow. ''Do you remember every word I say?''

''Every word,'' Satoru's voice clicks as he repeats. ''Every move. Every twitch. I watch you Suguru. You just aren't looking at me hard enough.''

Getou's breath hitches a bit at the sound of his other name slipping past his lips. It's rare for Satoru to say it, usually calling him by his family name. But he favors saying Getou's first name sometimes, and he likes that the tone he uses does all the right things he wants to it's owner. 

"Tell me something Satoru," Getou's lips twitches as he presses on. "What would you do once you do own me?'' 

Satoru answers without missing a beat. "I'll make you mine and mine alone."

"You're too possessive. I don't remember training you like that," Getou sighs, shaking his head as he mutters something about bad company before he looks back up at him.

Satoru stares at his Master. Getou stares right back, a knowing look in his eyes.

"No, you trained me to always go for what I want," Satoru says, his fangs peeking out. The hunger is back with a vengeance. He steps forward and Getou inches back until his legs hit the edge of the bench causing him to fall into the seat.

Satoru smiles a bit predatory, a hand reaching out to wrap around Getou's wrist. He holds it in place when the other moves to drop it, earning him a frown. The temptation is too much now, and his fangs elongate more until he feels the tips nearly touching his bottom lip.

Getou doesn't pull away, in fact he seems elated by Satoru's forwardness. "What if I don't want you?"

Satoru hisses low and threatening, squeezing Getou's wrist tighter before releasing it to grab at the back of the bench, caging Getou between his arms. He quickly calms himself. What use is it getting angry? Getou would only take his anger and frustration as a personal victory.

''You will. I assure you,'' Satoru whispers, his face hovering over Getou's. He smiles at his Master's widening pupils. "And when you do. I'll devour you completely.''

I know what you did to me, Finn. It was a cycle. We'd get into an argument. You'd tell me I was an asshole and a horrible person. Then, eventually, you'd beg for me to come back.

You made sure I knew how much you were struggling right off the bat. Our first ever out of character conversation was you venting to me. You talked about wanting to die. You mentioned how you couldn't lose anyone else. You told me that I was your best friend.

With how much I trusted you and all the shit I let slip, don't act like you didn't know how old I was when we met.

I was 13. You were 18. You convinced me that you were emotionally dependent on me. I was scared to leave because I was convinced that you would hurt yourself if I did.

Now, let me address something that surprised me a bit. I must confess that the part about you disagreeing with me on "many things" shocked me, lightly. Despite our completely different upbringing in two different worlds and thousands of miles apart backgrounds, the way I perceived our 'relationship' was more optimistic than yours.

I completely understand that, given that you've doxxed yourself and it is not a part of your nature to use verbal explosives in rebuttals, you would want to distance yourself from my care-free expressions. (Trust me, I have written worse.)

Anyway, I thought we agreed on far more than we didn't. Clearly, I was wrong. Not the first time, I see, lately.

Too much confrontation at times instead of a civil discourse. Never with you but you already know that. I admit my part where applicable. Then again, I'm not afraid to state my opinion, risking a shower of opposing opinions, as we've all had the pleasure to witness every now and then.

I appreciate that you consider my leaving a loss for the community. Well, the community has to understand that I have three books to write. And finish. And publish. And market. Community will be fine without me in a day or two. Perhaps, it already is.

I honestly might leave the fandom, I'm REALLY tempted to at this point. Because, I don't know how much more of this toxicity, the behavior of Envy and V stans (NOT ALL, BTW) and the Nuzi hatedom, I can take..especially knowing that Envy and V stans are doing the same thing they did back when episode 6 released, attacking and harassing Liam Vickers + sending death threats...it's absolutely disgusting and unacceptable and shouldn't be normalized, AT ALL. These individuals who are doing this aren't real fans of the show and don't care about it, they don't give a shit about the love, dedication and care that goes into Murder Drones or all the hard work that goes into the show. They only care about wether their ship becomes canon or not and if they don't get what they want, they start harassing and shitting on the crew behind the show, especially the creator (Liam) and say they don't wanna watch the show anymore and it just proves they were probably NEVER fans in the first place and only cared about shipping and that's just so damn sad, it's especially pathetic and childish how some of these fans act..

i have a gif aesthetic side blog and in my main blog i post media edits. i posted a gifset from each hh on my main, and reblogged some of them to my aes blog bc i have more followers there.

anyways RUH sent my over 50 death threats that i decided not to acknowledge at all. i did delete them so i have no evidence. many of them felt ai generated, just generic 'your edits are ugly, no one likes you, kill yourself' messages. nothing really outside that, i didnt receive any doxxing/rape threats

anyways i DID answer one ask, and then she proceeded to claim i somehow edited the ask???? that is literally not possible, and more concerning people believed it???

BUT ALSO before ultimatehater was deleted, if you went back enough to her blog, you can see her original url was a bunch of numbers. before getting to hazbin discourse she baited scott vs the world fans, calling them pedophiles. it seems she just wants drama and rn she's making some bold statements in her new blog, that i'll be completely honest and also is just my opinion, i think she is lying.

I feel the same thing ngl.. i don't like to discredit someone's trauma but shes been copy pasting the things she's said to me and then sending them to other people unedited. I genuinely think shes a troll, and attacking random people with fandom blogs hoping to lure in and harm a child. It seems that way from the types of media she obsesses over (hazbin hotel/helluva boss, she ra) ive never heard of scot vs the world but id guess it's probably in that same category tbh. Im really not worried about her claiming to doxx people, claiming to add people to a hit list, i dont believe it. What i do worry about is children interacting with her and thinking she is legitimate. Thats what i mean by luring children. Shes goading people into responding to her and hoping they take her seriously. Children online who watch shows like hazbin hotel (most likely with unrestricted access to the Internet) are EXACTLY the type of "im more emotionally mature than my peers" type of kid that gets pushed into these harmful and frankly predatory groomer esque situations. Even if she's a troll and this is all fake, traumatizing children isnt. She's trying to perform a power play on these kids who are just beginning to understand themes like rape or abuse or racism or brutality and care about them so emotionally as children do, and trying to use it against them. Trying to hurt them

ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?: Nope. My birth name was top of the baby name lists the year I was born, so at least it wasn't something I felt attached to. I picked Dan because it's simple and insignificant, not something I'll come to regret. (I did have a first draft chosen name that was just. so predictable lol, glad I didn't stick with it).

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?: Couple of days ago. At a bit of a low point in life right now, clawing my way back up.

DO YOU HAVE KIDS?: Nope, never ever wanted them.

WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED?: Baseball, I was a catcher.

DO YOU USE SARCASM?: Sometimes, but I'm trying to be more earnest.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?: I'm a plant dad. I also like fibre crafts and leatherworking (I am a beginner, don't get excited, although I really want to start making cuffs and harnesses). And I guess music, I've been making a specific effort to broaden my music tastes and go to as many shows as I can.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?: Not at the moment, but I plan to get some rats later this year, and two dogs when my living situation permits. They will be named Beverly and Babka.

DREAM JOB?: Not gonna dox myself so I'll be a little vague, but I've already had my dream job, and I stepped back from it a little while ago due to burnout. It involved organising, and one day I'd love to return to it.

I don't know how to say this but... I feel like the internet is no longer safe. Which may sound a little silly because of the developing data protection technologies and the culture of adding trigger warnings and all that. And this is cool don't get me wrong but thats not what I mean.

I mean that some time ago the internet for me felt like an escape from the authorities. A place where you can do whatever you want and the government probably won't get you. I know I probably romanticizing but back then I really did feel safer. Now I don't

Now I don't because I can be doxxed for any little thing. Because people can be cancelled without any real proofs. Because of the censorship. Because the government can put me in jail for like or repost or a single comment on smth the authorities don't like (it happens a lot in my country). Because someone can get ONE photo of me and generate AI p0rn. Because all art platforms (and not art too) will if not already sold all of us to AI companies to steal not only our work but our thoughts our opinion our personality and feed it to the machine.

The internet is my home, my friend, my 3rd parent in some sense. But I will never feel safe here. I'll never feel safe around technology, around cameras, around any government officials. Only in the deepest forests you could hear me speaking the truth

The internet may be not dead yet but it's surely dying.
