So if you watch this scene izuku and kacchan are sitting on both ends of the couch and what makes this scene so sweet and kinda sad is that izuku consciously or maybe unconsciously brings himself closer to his kacchan with the Manga version you can actively see him scooting closer (HE WANTS TO BE CLOSE TO HIM) and be able to actually talk with him Normally ;A; which we find out later he feels blessed being able to be near him and ya know talk and katsuki didn't push him away THEIR INSANE YA'LL!

Katsuki is kinda disgusted with himself. He hates all that lovey dovey bullshit and he always told himself he wouldn’t end up falling in love like the shitty old hag, but here he is being a lovesick moron. Katsuki is not known for being subtle, you’d have to be a special kind of moron to not notice he’s totally head over heels. Even if he wouldn’t describe it in those words, he totally is. He has very complicated feelings about the fact he likes you, wanting to focus on his hero training but you make it so difficult for him with your stupid smile that he loves hates so much. However he’s aware of how happy you make him feel, so he’s willing to set it aside, it must be a good thing you make him feel so good, right? It’s strange, but he will find himself showing off more when your around, trying to prove to you specifically he’s gonna be the best hero. In training he works extra hard if you happen to be around or happen to even be watching, he may even start competitions with class 1A just to prove himself to you. Whether it’s dumb competitions like racing in the pool or even school related competitions such as, who’s got the best grades, this nerd absolutely shows off around you. He wants you to think he’s cool, that he will one day be the best. But he also tries to leave subtle … hints he likes you. Even though it’s obvious already, he’s been given the impression that he isn’t totally obvious. He shows his interest in you in other ways, but I will mention he has an extreme jealousy problem even before you are even dating. This is typically of people that are “stronger” than him, so todoroki and deku. However he might get that jealousy if say, kaminari flirted with you. Other ways of actually showing interest though is that he’s actually nice to you, though he shows it in ways that can go unnoticed. If your forgetful he always makes sure he has an extra water bottle with him, or anything else you may need he just says he happens to have. Or perhaps you need help studying or even with homework, he just says kirishima happened to pick a different study buddy that day, so you and him can study together. And kirishima, as the ultimate wingman, insists you two should study more often… alone… and the main thing that gives him away! Blushing! Oh man, if he isn’t the most obvious guy in the universe because of that red face! He can blame it on the cold, he can blame it on how hot it is out, he can blame it on his quirk, or that he’s angry, he is always red faced when you’re too close. If you’ve ever seen amity blight blush, it’s exactly like that. He stares at you in class with this soft expression that is almost never seen on his face, and if he is to ever be caught he simply turns away as fast as possible, wide eyed and blushing. You’ll find that bakugou believes in your strength, so he’s protective in battle a reasonable amount, only if you’re truly in deep shit. When he’s more comfortable with being your friend, he takes you out on hiking trips and just hanging out with you, and sometimes kirishima. The entire class of 1A knows about his little crush though so it makes it extremely hard for him to keep it a secret lol, he’s constantly paranoid somebody told you.

Oh man if you thought katsuki was bad, izuku is on another level of being obvious with his feelings. The boy truly wears his heart on his sleeve. It’s not even something he’s aware of at first, he just thinks your good looking like … wow way more attractive than anyone he’s ever met! You’re a good friend, with an interesting quirk and yes his notes on you are a lot longer than even kacchans and maybe he draws you a lot, maybe he draws moments where you looked really breathtaking and maybe he thinks about you before he goes to bed and when he wakes up in the morning and yes maybe he dreams about you too and overthinks everything you say to him and maybe he rambles about you an unreasonable amount to his friends but… oh man he… he likes you doesn’t he? And once he realizes, it gets even worse because now he’s just blushing at you and he looks like he’s gonna pass out everytime ochako mentions the fact he hasn’t confessed yet and he’s just dying on the spot. Boy talks faster than Eminem can rap whenever she mentions him having a crush especially if you happen to be there for the conversation. Tends to ramble around you a lot, just about random things and everyone is just like “oh god not this again” you have to be oblivious to not notice. Izuku tends to worry about you a lot, so he always checks up on you after training to make sure you didn’t get too hurt, and don’t even get him started when it comes to you going on missions, he worries so much when you’re fighting villains. Now he knows how his mother feels. Izuku tends to be clingy around his crush, so he tends to ask you to hang out quite often, whether it’s hanging out or even studying or even fighting together against some villain he likes being around you and likes making sure that you’re safe when it comes down to it. He tends to have very obvious slip ups that he likes you, voice cracks then correcting himself or perhaps coughing way too loudly when he tries to do an ahem cough, bumping into you and tripping, he’s so clumsy around you. Probably accidentally calls you pretty. He’s just… such a mess man.

Hawks is not experienced with romance, while many can agree he’s a good looking guy that has many people flocking towards him, he was never that interested in dating until you showed around. Honestly, could’ve seen him being aromantic before meeting you, lol. So since he’s never experienced romantic feelings, it’s going to take him a little longer than it should to realize his feelings. However he does show signs of taking a special liking to you beforehand, that even he doesn’t understand at the time. He hates the idea of people looking at you the wrong way, perhaps to court you. He assumes this is because he senses they’re potentially dangerous and as a good friend of yours, he’s just looking out for you. After all, he’s naturally protective of you in battles with villains, even if you can protect yourself. Sure he’s not protective especially of endeavor or miruko, but that’s just because he’s not as close with them as he is with you! He doesn’t feel his heart beat faster around his other friends, but he assumes it must be something else, maybe there’s something making him nervous, or maybe he’s just simply excited to be around you! Sure he doesn’t blush around anyone else when they compliment him, but that’s because it means a lot knowing a close friend thinks about him in such a way! For awhile, keigo comes up with many reasons to justify his feelings towards you until miruko and endeavor make him realize he’s being a total moron right now. Upon realizing his feelings, he’s not completely sure how to go about it, but he starts by trying to make it known he likes you. He’s subtle with his flirts, but once he puts his toes in the water to see if your comfortable with him flirting, he dips his whole foot in. At that point, people just think you two are dating with how casual he is with his newfound flirtatious personality when you enter the picture. Upon realizing his feelings he becomes 10x more protective and kinda already acts like a boyfriend by bringing you lunch to work and taking you to cafes and literal dates and stupid shit like that, lmao.

Aizawa I imagine having very few crushes in his lifetime, and has dates with even less people than that. Because of this inexperience even in his age, he’s not quite sure how to go about his feelings initially. Mic and midnight are extremely annoying about how obvious he is, as well. Aizawa is extremely protective of you, given his experience with his students, it’s only natural he grows protective of you and worries for your safety. Whether you’re a hero or not, he’s going to worry for you. Other than that, the way he shows he cares for you is different with you than it is with his friends. He’s good at listening to you and remembers very small things about you that maybe he wouldn’t remember with other people, he remembers very small details. Perhaps something as small as your favorite coffee even if you don’t like coffee that much. I imagine him fearing if his students ever found out he liked you, what kinda hell that would be. Dealing with them teasing him and potentially telling you, but he truly can’t help but be obvious at times. He stares at you longer than he should, even smiles at you longingly when he thinks you aren’t looking. He looks like a lovesick kitty. Generally reserved in his attraction to you, keeping to himself and hoping he can find some hints you return the feelings before initiating anything. However, he’s always been relatively stupid with romance so this takes awhile for him to even figure out and he has a habit of overthinking everything you say to him and is often left wondering what your intentions truly are with him. When you two spend time together, he likes doing things with you he’d never do with anyone else. Likes you playing and doing his hair, and watching movies and such, your hangouts often feel like dates even when you aren’t dating. So when the time does come you two date, it feels as though nothing has changed. He with trust you whole heartedly, if you aren’t a teacher at UA he is introducing his students to you, his co workers, and especially Eri, all the people who are important in his life but does it in such a way that feels casual and natural. He has a way of not making his crush known if your oblivious enough. However, a part of him that feels like he shouldn’t tell you how he feels come from a place of worrying for your safety and the people that may come after you. He will learn to trust you and your strength, he’s just a worried dad.

Miruko is a bold and brave lady, however even she’s never had much experience with love. Being way too determined to become a hero, it hasn’t given her much time to really experience romance aside from hookups. She decided it was a waste of time, but as one of the top heroes, she understands she can have both things in her life. If she cares to, anyway. And upon meeting you had come to the conclusion she would love to have both things. Miruko is a very confident woman so you will find she wastes no time in approaching you with her feelings. This is, when she realizes them. Due to her being new to it, it takes her a bit to realize it. But after a couple months of knowing you she figure it out. The way she feels compelled to buy you stuff despite not knowing you for that long, the need to protect you from danger even when you can protect yourself just fine, the strange need to wrap her strong arms around you, it all connects to her eventually. Upon realizing the feelings she’s gained she is very flirtatious and makes her intentions with you very clear. She doesn’t like wasting time. You will find though that despite how bold she is, if you flirt back she gets a little shy sometimes. This is a rare occurrence, but it happens! She can be a softie too yknow? She is physically affectionate with you, casually wrapping an arm around your shoulder when you two are talking, whispering in your ear a lot and getting close and personal when she really doesn’t have to. She loves inviting you over to hang with her for games and such, it already feels like you two are a couple even when you aren’t. It’s only a matter of time before she officially asks you out. You may find that during your hangouts she tries to impress you with her strength and tends to brags about her accomplishments. You’ll also find she dresses nicer and even wears makeup occasionally. Her flirtations with you are different than with her hookups too, compliments on how cute you are rather than how hot you are. She wants you to know you mean something to her as well, so on occasion she tells you that you mean the world to her.

Dabi has not experienced romance, ever. Hookups aren’t in his life either. Dabi had been set on one thing and one thing only, revenge. You’d have to be a real special one for him to be attracted to you, but no matter how special you are it will not deter him from his original plan. He didn’t plan on pursuing you in anyway, but he’s selfish at heart and can’t help himself. He may not try to pursue you romantically but he will try his absolute hardest to form a strong bond between you two. It may take awhile to be vulnerable with you but it will absolutely happen while you two are friends, he will be extremely open with you. He’s open about being touya early in your friendship to show he trusts you whole heartedly, to show he thinks you’re like nobody else he’s met. He would know his feelings, despite the complete lack of experience in dating. He just knows. He looks at you and thinks, you’re the one for him. Out of everyone on this list, he’s one of the more protective ones. I’d say the most if it wasn’t for toga, tbh. You will find he’s around you a lot, like just because he’s so protective but also because he likes to be around you. He cares for you and likes your company. You remind him of the good parts of home, you bring back his humanity. Dabi makes no moves on you, despite how strong his feelings are for you and how aware he is of his feelings. He’s scared to form a relationship, in fear it will go to shit and knowing he’d hurt you, knowing his plan of revenge will end in his death. He’d never want to put you through that. He spends much of his time hanging out with you and it feels like the two of you have been best friends forever. He tends to joke with you and be sarcastic, but always being one that’s there for you when you need it and even give you advice. He’s a true friend but he’s scared to be something more.

Toga is truly the most obsessive and protective, the closest you get to a yandere. She grows feelings almost automatically, because she feels as though she sees you for who you are right away. She feels like she’s known you forever, she knows she likes you the more she wants to steal some of your blood and become you. If you’re okay with an overbearing insane girl on your side, she’s the lady for you! She acts like she’s known you forever, even if you’re complete strangers. There is no filter with toga, and she acts like you’re already best friends when you aren’t. And when her romantic feelings become apparent, she makes those feelings very apparent and that she wants something more with you. She tends to get up in your face a lot when talking, with a blush on her cheeks, it’s just because she loves being so close to you! Flirting with you and calling you her darling or her love is a common occurrence, even when you two aren’t even a couple yet. She worries for you a lot and is very protective, and after twices demise this protective nature becomes 10x worse. She’s clingy and constantly cuddling to your side, holding your arm or your hand. She has no shame in you knowing her feelings, she just hopes you will stop being so shy and tell her how you feel too! She will absolutely murder for you too just to add onto her yanderish tendencies, not that I don’t think every villain would do that for you though, lol. Also, the moment you meet her she’s inviting you to the league of villains without a doubt. You’re a part of her little weird family now, no questions asked. You become extremely important to her and how she approaches life from then on. (You could actually help her become a decent person if you were aiming to be a hero. You hold so much power by being the object of her affection, lol).

Shigaraki is determined to destroy the entire world and everyone in it, but even he has feelings. He has feelings towards the league, secretly (or not so secretly) seeing them as his found family. And you, well, in his eyes you are also family but you’re also special to him even in comparison to the league. He isn’t aware of what his feelings towards you are for the longest time, even after the advice kurogiri had given him. He now relies on spinner to give him proper advice, who tells him he feels romantically towards you. Shigaraki is naturally a protective person when it comes to you, not liking anyone getting too close and personal with you, even spinner and toga sometimes. He’s lost a lot and he’s not willing to lose you too especially to some loser that doesn’t deserve you. He’s easily jealous and he’s also easily paranoid you could find somebody else. In his mind, he knows you deserve more than him and the possibility of you ending up with anyone that isn’t him is almost too much to bare. Even if he knows you deserve more, he’s selfish to his core. He likes to play games with you and treats you like a longtime friend, he consistently works on your relationship to make sure he keeps your bond going at all times. He enjoys being close to you and would like to keep it that way and maintaining your relationship. He could talk to you for hours about anything while playing video games with you (Nintendo gamer tingz). As time goes by, he tries to trust you more and grows less protective and obsessive, especially as he becomes much more powerful and much more confident he can protect you if need be. He isn’t bold about his feelings, an occasional shy blush coming from him is the closest you get to him letting his feelings be known. He may eventually approach you, though.

BnHA Chapter 408: Orphaned Cryptid to Billionaire Supervillain

Today on BnHA: Horikoshi decides he’s going to cover the rest of the AFO/OFA saga in the span of just seven pages, the majority of which are mostly just filled with lovingly detailed closeups of AFO and Kudou’s eyes. Back in the present day, Kid For One takes a couple of seconds to trample the last of the “Kacchan is OFA II or is related to OFA II” theories into the dust, and is then all “fuck it, I’ll just take him out with one last spectacularly grotesque supermove.” Kacchan is all “lol you fucking dipshit”, and he says it with such confidence that it truly makes me believe he can defeat AFO’s “ALL THE QUIRKS EVER!!” attack with his piddly little exploding bloodsweat quirk. AND IT WILL BE A SIGHT TO SEE.

Yoichi’s name btw is written with the kanji 与 which means “bestow” or “give”, and 一 which means “one.” so basically “one who gives”, which is fitting as the creator of OFA, but also fits in with this new context of being the first “possession” bestowed upon AFO

oh yes and also AFO I guess has just torn his brother to shreds or something too. idk. A/N: first my hero academia fic??? neeed!!!! angry boy need tickled sometimes. god help whoever does it tho.

Summary: Bakugo is all three things: loud, angry, and ticklish. One of them is less obvious than the others, and he wants to keep it that way.

Loud, angry, and ticklish — these were among the many words that could describe Bakugo Katsuki. Like his quirk, he was often explosive with his voice and his temper. Ticklish, though? That was a pretty well-hidden feature, and one that not many would be willing to try with him! Not that anyone had in a long time. 

Until today. 

The sound of tittering laughter and chatter, much too loud and too cheery to be school-related, drew an already grumpy Bakugo toward the common room of the dorms. It seemed to be the place to be, he realized, when he walked in and saw most of his classmates relaxing around the couch, laughing and talking.

“What the hell are you all laughing about in here?” Bakugo barged in, asking loudly.

“Bakugo! Come on, Sero was just telling us the funniest story about—” Ochaco waved him over.

Bakugo cut her off. “Why don’t you losers stop sitting around laughing and wasting all day and get some goddamn work done! Ugh, Icy Hot and I have been working twice as hard as the rest of you because of our extra classes, and now you’re all slacking off?! It’s gonna be way too easy for me to surpass you! Where’s the challenge in that!? Now get off your asses and stop slacking!!!” 

Everyone stared back at him, their giggling long gone.

“It’s Sunday afternoon Bakugo…” Momo sighed.

Bakugo turned to look at him, glaring with fuming rage. 

“We’re not even doing anything to bother you, Bakubro, come on!” Kaminari bargained. “If you want to keep studying then go back to your room, you don’t have to sit here watching us relax if you don’t want to join us.” 

“I WANT YOU TO TAKE YOUR STUDIES SERIOUSLY SO THAT IT MEANS SOMETHING WHEN I KICK YOUR ASS!!!” Katsuki yelled back.

“Seriously, come on…” Kirishima sighed. “You know we’ve all been working hard, we deserve some chill time!” If he squinted, it almost looked like Bakugo was steaming with anger.

In the dorms, with his guard down, focused on arguing with his friends and surrounded by his classmates, Bakugo didn’t sense the approach of his childhood friend from behind until it was too late. 

With a wide grin on his face, Midoriya had managed to creep up behind the grumpy, yapping dog that was Bakugo. He remembered something about his friend from a long time ago, and though he hadn’t tried it in many, many years, he was sure it would help here.

It was a matter of moments between when Bakugo was yelling back at Kirishima and Kaminari and when he finally felt the presence of someone approaching from behind. He ignored it for a second too long. Midoriya’s voice was friendly as it chided. “Kacchan, why are you being so mean?” And suddenly there were accompanying fingers pinching along Bakugo’s sides. 

“—GET BACK TO WO-AHHIIHHH!” His rant cut off into a very un-hero-like squeal at the unexpected tickle. Bakugo’s face, which was already red with anger, ripened further as he slowly spun his head to look behind him at Midoriya. “What. The FUCK!!!” 

“What just happened!?” Kaminari asked, smirking.

“Was that you Bakubro?” Kirishima said in disbelief.

“Deku, what did you just do?” Ochaco laughed.

“Oh my gosh! Bakugo are you ticklish?” Mina grinned, wiggling in her seat.

“That’s so cute!” Tsu agreed.

“Wait what? I missed it!” Sero turned to face him better.

Bakugo growled. “Deku…” 

Midoriya’s eyes widened as he saw Kacchan shift his weight to launch an offensive his direction. “Wait! Kacchan, I’m sorry don’t kill meEE—” He quickly sped off with a squeal out of the common room and into the hall as Bakugo bolted after him as fast as he could without shooting out explosions.

“I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU, DEKU!”

“I’m sorry! I didn’t know you would react so much!” Izuku laughed as he raced ahead of his rival and old friend. 

“SHUT UP AND PREPARE TO DIE!”

The rest of the class left them to it, not wanting to incur the wrath of a furious Bakugo as Midoriya just had. They were grateful to their classmate for allowing them to continue relaxing for a few more hours without having criticisms screamed at them. Bakugo had a point, but so did they. They would have to work hard but still relax hard, play hard. 

Down the hall, Shoji picked up the sound of a scuffle before everyone heard crash and tumble followed by the familiar sound of Midoriya’s laughter… though this time it sounded much more frantic than it usually did after a good story or funny joke. 

… 

Izuku didn’t know what he had been thinking when he’d tried to tickle Kacchan for a brief second in the common room of their dorm… He had been yelling at everyone and looked so angry, Izuku just wanted to distract him for a moment and maybe get him to relax or smile a little. He remembered having tickle fights with Kacchan when they were kids. It had been a long, long time. This time, he got the jump on him, just for a moment. It was in front of their classmates, so other people now knew Kacchan was ticklish. It made sense that he was so angry, he was angry a lot. But, it had been nice to catch a hint of his smile. Even if he had embarrassed him a little. 

Now that he’d done it, though, he realized too late the wrath he had provoked. 

Izuku sped down the hall as fast as he could, trying to race back to his dorm room in time to try to lock himself inside—though… Katsuki seemed mad enough that he might just activate his quirk and blow the door down. He didn’t make it far enough to find out, though. Bakugo crashed into him, shouting obscenities as he knocked them both to the ground. 

“Wait! Kacchan don’t! Not out here!” Midoriya yelped as Bakugo landed on him. He knew he was caught.

“Stupid Deku, see how you fucking like it!!” Bakugo growled, pushing Midoriya into the floor and kneeling over his thighs. He reached down, jabbing harsh, tickling fingers ruthlessly into Izuku’s sides. They squeezed up along his ribs and down to his hips. Izuku screeched out a laugh before flailing helplessly where he was already pinned. He tried to reach back behind him to grab or block a hand. 

“KACCHAHAHAN— I’M SORRYHEHEHE!” Izuku shrieked through his laughter. “IHIHIHI- I CAHAHAN’T BREHEHEATHE!” He cried, kicking into the floor. 

“Good! Die!!!” Bakugo answered, loud and angry, as he made a grab for Izuku’s wrist and hauled it up over his head. 

“NOHOHOHO— STAHAHAHAHOP!” Izuku cackled. 

Bakugo drilled fingers into his exposed armpit, and Midoriya felt tears welling in his eyes. Bakugo was ticklish, certainly, but Midoriya was… well neither of them had ever met anyone else so sensitive. How strange a trait for one determined to be the number one hero — to crumple and fall apart in the face of some simple tickling. Though, he wouldn’t call what Bakugo was putting him through ‘simple’. 

The way Bakugo saw it, the others may have seen that he was ticklish, but if he could make enough of an example out of Midoriya, no one else would dare try it again. He hoped. 

Midoriya’s other arm flailed and tapped out helplessly on the ground as Bakugo took advantage of every ticklish spot he could remember. The tickling hand even snuck down beneath him to claw against his stomach. “PL-PLHEEHEHEHEASE KACCHAN IHIHIHIHIHI CAN’T! CAHAHAN’T TAKE IT! AHAHA-STAHAHAHAHAHA—” 

Katsuki leaned in closer, still tickling viciously. “Never. Ever. Fucking. Do that again.” He paused for a second, his hand freezing against Izuku’s sides. “Understand me?” 

Izuku breathed in a few times, panting for air and giggling each breath out. After a few seconds, he spoke up. “Y-You mean like in front of people or just in general?” 

Bakugo’s face went red as he shouted, “IDIOT!” and started tickling anew.

TodoBakuDeku where Bakugou is like the leading Dom of the relationship, Todoroki is a dom as well, but Midoriya is their sub.

To start off, i wasn’t always a bkdk shipper.

I shipped izu*cha at first (not saying it’s a bad ship btw; it’s actually quite cute. im just afraid people’ll be mad if I accidentally invade their tag lol), primarily because I assumed that would be the ship that became canon.

But also, my veryyyyy leasttttt favorite character… was Bakugou Katsuki.

When I tell you that I would’ve loved nothing more than to somehow spawn into the bnha universe and punch that brat in the face— AGHHHHHHHHHH

Now this wasn’t all his fault: A) I watched the dub first lol, and B) he reminded me of someone that i was not in a place to stand up to at the time, and his constant anger, yelling, and harsh treatment of Izuku—who i began to relate to—made me hateeee him.

There was a time when I literally said “if he died, I wouldn’t miss him.” <- this was later proven false lol

So, I was watching the anime dub with an absolute animosity for our resident deuteragonist, but on top of that…

I was watching it with a friend with a crunchyroll account who lived in another state that I was visiting and staying with for two weeks, so by the time i had to go back home, we’d only gotten up to the part where All Might was getting Inko’s permission to let Izuku stay at the UA dorms.

Anddddddd in my drive to consume more bnha once I got home, i somehow stumbled across an Instagram account that posted bnha sub episodes divided into parts,

but they only had season four and onwards.

Sooooo I never saw the second half of season three… more importantly,

At this point in time, I’d been exposed to a lot of the fandom. My fyp on both IG and Pinterest were filled to the brim with all things bnha (because this is what happens when one has a hyperfixation), so I saw a lot of stuff.

Especially fanart.

This is where I started learning about the different ships.

I saw a lot of the side character ships and thought they were adorable (kamijirou, todomomo, even kiribaku), but then I saw some with Izuku.

Izu*cha was a given for me. I didn’t think there was a single person that didn’t ship it. But then I started seeing fanart of ships like tododeku, shindeku, and bakudeku.

And my first reaction to finding out that people shipped my beautiful baby sunshine boi with the person who bullied him for years?????

HELLLLLLLLLLL NO

So with my (unknowingly) limited knowledge of their relationship, i was very much an anti (i never spoke out or anything, i just reallyyyy didn’t like the ship lol)

(And then, you know, I started to see all the bkdk hate online and kinda went “okay not touching that”)

But that began to change…

…after I saw a manga leak for the first time.

I was scrolling thru my feed and all of a sudden. BOOM!

I was like 😧

IS THAT IZUKU?????

And i looked in the comments and yes it was.

I checked out the page and found that they had an entire account of manga leaks and was so happy.

I quickly began to read from the very bottom of that account, and it started from right about where Izuku first began his vigilante arc (i had no idea how much was in between then and where I left off on the anime, but I was willing to read it lol)

And so I waited diligently for the leaks every week (a practice I have continued to uphold lol), until one day, i came across an untranslated series of panels from the latest chapter. I looked at it and it was of Katsuki and Izuku, facing each other in the rain (you know the one). I knew the leaks would be coming a day later, but I wanted to look through them anyways, so I did.

I didn’t understand a word they said, but the pictures and imagery of them as kids then middle schoolers then where they were now seemed so touching…

And then I came across a pair of kanji that I recognized.

I was like “wait WHAT???”

I zoomed in and went “that— isn’t that—? That’s part of Midoriya’s name, right???”

And then I was like “wait a second… omg that’s Izuku, isn’t it. That’s the freaking kanji for Izuku.”

And it was!!!!!

So inside I’m having a mini freakout cuz—

Bakugou just called him IZUKU

Fast forward to the next day, and I looked at the translated version, and found out that not only did he call him Izuku,

He

Freaking

APOLOGIZED

And I was like “huhhhhhhh”

What happened between now and the most recent anime episodes for this to occur???? For Bakugou to do a complete 180 and apologize????????

Well, I finally got my answers…

…when I started reading the manga.

I started from the beginning, cuz I wanted to see Horikoshi’s art style and the extra drawings and all the other stuff…

And when I tell you that Katsuki became a whole new character to me—

First, I read everything about early-on Bakugou— without hearing him yell in his dub voice—and realized “oh wow he really is just a kid with issues and a worldview that he’s now having to change.”

Then, I finally read what happened in that space between moving into the dorms and the beginning of season four (most importantly, DvK2).

Cried.

Then, oh then, I got up to where season five ended and the rest of the manga began.

. . .

Funny thing: back when I read the leaks to ch322, I remember thinking to myself, “huh. what did Bakugou mean by Shigaraki making swiss cheese outta him?”

THE WAY I GASPED

AND THEN CRIED

OH MY FREAKING GOD

That was the moment where i truly ceased to hate Katsuki cuz holy character development batman

Then, of course, we see them in recovery

And then the vigilante arc and apology scene *sobs*

And then I was caught up.

(Btw I finished the entire manga up ‘til ch334 in just over a week. I read for nine days straight. During the school year. My emotions were all over the place goodness gracious I could barely concentrate.)

So that’s how I went from being a Bakugou hater to going “you know what he’s a complex character and he’s slowly becoming a better person” and realizing that he was now one of my fav characters and therefore cursed to die but I’ll talk about that later

Was I now a bakudeku shipper?

Hah nope.

I began my dive into the true essence of any fandom: fanfiction.

Over the course of winter break, I had started off with fics that had no romantic pairing (I just wanted to see my boi Izuku), but then somehow stumbled across Mastermind: Strategist for Hire and then read the entirety of the For Want of a Nail series (shoutout to Clouds btw ❤️) cuz I was like “ok whew no bkdk fics” which was my mindset at the time.

But somehow (I can’t even remember how I found it) I came across a bkdk fic. It was called For Want of Izuku’s Toe Joint by Talavin (okay now that I think about it there’s probably a simple explanation lol).

I don’t quite know what compelled me to start reading it, but I did.

And I really liked it.

But not in the “I’ve been converted” kinda way.

It was like an “I shouldn’t be enjoying this why am I enjoying this?” kinda feeling. Like my head says no but my heart says yeah.

A really really really really guilty pleasure.

So, from that day on, whenever I came across any form of bkdk media, I would simultaneously feel discomfort and yet an odd sense of satisfaction.

A snippet of my daily life:

Me: eww

Also me: *stares at it for like five minutes straight*

Me: who even likes this?

Also me: *saves pin to my mha board*

Bit of a timeskip, but nothing of note really happened in those last six months so here we go.

We’ve gotten to the point in the manga where the final arc is underway and Bakugou is about to KICK SOME BUTT

He’s revealed his Panser Strafe support item and I’m gushing about it to my friend (she kinda fell out of the fandom but still tolerated my rants bless her)

Oh, side note: it was then that I also expressed my concern for Bakugou’s “alive” status

Utterly gobsmacked. Cried. Disbelief. Horrified. Confusion. Anger. Went through the five stages of grief and then some.

Sometimes I hate being right 🥲

But the good thing that came from this was that my positive view of Katsuki only grew after seeing his utter faith in Izuku (and his thoughts being on him in his final moments???? 🥺🥺🥺)

And it was at this point in time where I could admit to myself “you know what? i see it. i see the appeal. i wouldn’t mind this actually becoming canon.”

Did I think that it would actually become canon?? No.

Everything was downhill from here folks.

In the best possible way.

I came across some analyses of what was going on with togachako, and consequently led me to some bakudeku analyses. I read them and my goodness they made so much sense.

Like not even just personality-wise!! Those metas brought in actual things Horikoshi said about wanting to go outside the norms of shounen (and about not liking the Naruto ending 💀), and compared bkdk to tropes in different works of fiction, and even discussed how bkdk made sense narratively. They properly convinced me of the ship.

And then for good measure, I reread the manga in its entirety thru a bkdk filter, and lo and behold things took on new meanings and my eyes were opened.

I totally and irrevocably shipped them! And I actually thought they had a chance at being canon!!

(And then I binged so much bkdk fanfiction omg you wouldn’t BELIEVE like I read the ones with the highest kudos first and then just picked the biggest collections I could find and read down the line

It was like being on drugs like each fic gave me more dopamine than the last I was so happy oh my god)

The answer to “is bakugou alive yet?” became a yes.

We screamed. We cried. We jumped for joy. We told bakugou antis to suck it. But most of all, our bkdk hearts soared to see our boys make eye contact with each other for the first time in over a year 🥹

And from that moment on, I truly began to believe that bkdk would indeed become canon.

so this year he had the bright idea of leaving the wrapped gift in his office drawer until the big day. midoriya is often up and out of the house by 5am for his morning jog and workout, with his bestfriend kacchan, while shoto sleeps in. however, since it's a "holiday" deku would forgo the gym sesh and drive over to their joined agency like a sneaky little elf.

it's honestly the perfect plan and he doesn't know why he didn't think of it sooner.

izuku was proudly mumbling to himself as he stepped off the elevator and into the office space when he noticed you sitting at your desk in the lobby. you'd been his and shoto's assistant for about a year now; a quirkless college grad with great references and eager to please. both men would describe you as a literal godsend-- single handedly organizing and restructuring the business aspects of their very chaotic agency.

"are you okay? i hope you didn't burn yourself".

you sighed, defeated, allowing yourself to glance at the annoying intruder only to be met with sparkling gemstone eyes and a soft smile. time has been well on midoriya. even with the slight crinkles by his eye and streaks of gray peppering his emerald green mop, he still looked as youthful as ever. the same deku that stole the hearts of many all those years ago- just a few more scars on his warlorn body and a softer layer to his midsection. but he looked great! if anything that extra thickness on his tummy only emphasized his mouthwatering biceps and juicy juicy thighs. he could probably crack your head open with those things.

"hey, sweetheart. are you okay?" he was closer now, the minty aroma of his cologne flowing into your space. your cheeks burned. here you were lusting over one of your very taken bosses, yet again.

"why aren't you at home with your family? i could've sworn we gave all the administrative staff the day off".

"well i don't really have a family or anybody waiting for me, so i figured that i could get some work done. crime doesn't stop on the weekends" you shrugged. that didn't sit well with deku. he couldn't imagine you spending the day holed up in his agency.

"why don't you come home with me"?

it was hard not to laugh at the way your eyes widened. your mouth opening and closing in shock. it was so easy to fluster you. deku didn't know if it was due to your age or if you were just that innocent. he liked that. its perverted, he knows, but the thought of you on your knees staring up at him all doe eyed lived rent free in his mind.

"ouch, i didnt know that i was such bad company" he teased, just to get a rise out of you. and of course you took the bait. rushing to apologize. clarifying that you didn't want to be a bother. insisting that he haad much better things to do than babysit you. but deku wouldn't be deku if he took "no" for an answer, and that's how you wound up in your employer's kitchen watching him struggle to decide what he'd be preparing for his lover's birthday brunch. it was something that his friends did every year for eachother and he offered to host this time but there was one small problem…

sure he has the funds to hire a catering service but that seemed so impersonal. he wanted something that came from the heart! but after a couple tik tok videos and several pancakes on the floor- he started to rethink that decision. he then heard the little giggles coming from your direction. he turned towards you with a raised brow and you quickly put both hands on your mouth in response.

"what's so funny, little girl ?" he pointed his batter covered spatula towards you, only to get some on his freckled cheek. you laughed even harder this time, grabbing for your phone to take a picture. he liked seeing you like this, all free and relaxed.

after about two hours of cooking, with deku insisting on "mandatory snack breaks", the two of you had accomplished decenrt brunch spread with a fusion of japanese and american cuisine.

the two of were giggling over a pot of kenchinjiru when shoto sleepily shuffled into the kitchen. it was a welcomed sight to wake up to you and izuku being so cozy. he leaned against the wall, arms crossed over his chest, just admiring how well you fit with his partner, how comfortable you both seemed. he could've watched you all morning, had izuku not looked over his shoulder.

"oh! hey, sho. look at what i found" izuku chirped, happily petting you on top of the head. "izuku--" you whined shyly, glancing at the heterochromatic hero.

even fresh out of bed, shoto looked absolutely stunning. his silky strands were parted down the middle, falling loosely against his tailbone. his beautifull sculpted face held no imperfections, save for his iconic scar. however, his body told a different story. standing bare, in only his boxers, you could see battle scars littered against his pale flesh-- weaving against one another like the intricate lines of a tattoo. he'd always maintained a slimmer physique than deku, showcasing a smaller waist and chiseled abs lightly dusted with a bicolored happy trail that led to his scantily clad lower regions. the sight of shoto todoroki in nothing but his skin tight boxer briefs was mouth-watered. you eyes wandered a bit longer and lower than thet should've and the icy hot hero definitely took notice.

notes: i tried my best to get his (and midoriya's) personality right, for a little after that one fight. i hope i really get it right and it's still bakugou and midoriya in the end. it was fun to (try to) write tho. extra note: petty couple fights. please do not take this fic too seriously because i certainly did not.

Whenever Katsuki and you fight, Izuku always suffers.

Such was the rule of the universe—or so his classmates said. Shouto pat his back, Ochako tried to cheer him up, and Iida… tried his best. But, in the end, Izuku couldn’t exactly refute those words.

Though, recently, whenever the two of you fought, it became a whole dorm crisis.

“I hate him,” you said, sobbing into your knees as you curled up on top of the lounge sofa. Izuku wished there were others with him and you at the moment. Unfortunately, like traitors all of them were conveniently away and busy.

Izuku stuttered your name. “He-hey, don’t say it like that,” he managed a smile that ended up more as a grimace more than anything. With a patience of someone who had handled this sort of issue since the three of you were in kindergarten, Izuku continued, “I’m sure Kacchan didn’t mean any of the words he said.”

“He called me weak! A deadweight!” you screamed before throwing yourself to the green haired boy. Seasoned and trained, Izuku caught you and returned your hug with a sympathetic pat to the back. A part of him noted that Katsuki had called you worse things back in your youth, but he supposed ‘childhood friends’ status that had changed to ‘romantic partners’ would change things too. So, wisely, he didn’t comment.

“There, there,” was the only he thing he could said. If only ‘Kacchan’ was better at this whole dating thing…

“Hey.”

Izuku’s head did a sharp turn to his right. Talk about the devil and he shall appear, they say. Think about Bakugou Katsuki and he will appear like a ghost haunting the dorm, he says.

From his hug, Izuku felt you tried to discretely peaked at your boyfriend. Without seeing it, Izuku knew you were failing miserably. Katsuki, too, seemed to notice your stare and immediately met your eyes with his permanent glare. In response, you immediately hid your face on Izuku’s chest and hug him tigther.

If Izuku noticed Katsuki shifting that glare into a genuine one at him—no, he didn’t.

As Izuku tried to think what should he do now, that he was stuck in this unpleasant confrontation, Katsuki spoke, “Have you eaten yet?”

You, unsurprisingly, refused to reply. Instead, you hugged Izuku tighter as if such action would make Katsuki step away. It didn’t, it only got the two of your an even nastier glare.

Izuku, like a saint, answered in your stead. “Uh, she haven’t,” Izuku said, omitting the fact that you were skipping meals since yesterday because ‘Katsuki called you a deadweight in the middle of a training’. Your tantrum was as complicated as it was already and he would not at anything to that.

Katsuki stayed silent as he gave your form a once over. Izuku suddenly felt like a parent. Perhaps, this was where he should nudge the blond to apologize to you?

“You are not a deadweight,” Katsuki stated, suddenly but confidently. You suddenly stiffened like a stone in his arms. “There I said it, so hurry up, the fuck you want to eat?”

Izuku tried not to outwardly grimaced once again at that. He knew that you are a tough girl, but considering the circumstances at the moment since this argument started, he really wished Katsuki could be a bit gentler. You just complained at him for three hours about Katsuki’s ‘cute bastard’ way of talking while crying and Izuku really really didn’t want a sequel of that to enfold in front of the related person.

Luckily, this time, you responded to Katsuki. Slowly, you raised your head away from Izuku as your hold on him loosened. You still glared at the sofa, not meeting Katsuki’s gaze. Silently, you sent a side glance to the source of your irritation.

“Katsudon,” you answered, quick and hoarse after crying, before promptly returning to hug Izuku tightly. Izuku regretted not bringing a pillow or something else to avoid this fate.

At your answer, Katsuki made a sour face. Of course. That answer either came from your mind that was filled of curses ready to be hurled at Katsuki or because you simply wanted to jab at him through his name. Nonetheless, with a sigh, Katsuki dutifully turned away and walked towards the kitchen, “Fine.”

As he walked away, Izuku once again wished that the two of you could discuss this just so this fiasco could end faster. He held back a sigh and returned to patting you in the back.

“Izuku,” you mumbled to his clothes.

“Hm?” Izuku responded patiently.

“I don’t like arguing with Katsuki,” you said, your voice just above a whisper.

Izuku sagely nodded, having heard this for hundred times already each time the two of you fought, “I know, I know.”

“I will…” you trailed off, gently prying yourself away from Izuku. Your reddened eyes blinked a few times, before you finished your sentence. “…I will help Katsuki. He must be hungry too.”

Izuku didn’t have the chance to reply before you walked away, going to the kitchen. He stared at your direction, wondering if he should follow. Then, he remembered how it had always been—since you were little and since the three of you reconciled.

Learning from experience, Izuku chose to return to his room.

Second chances

It's been a couple of weeks since Izuku ran into his childhood friend Bakugo Katsuki; he's a pro hero now and judging by the fact that he's the number one at the moment, it seems he's excellent at his job.

However, that's not the thing Izuku found more interesting about him; back when they both were kids, after they realized Izuku was never going to manifest any sort of quirk, Katsuki started acting strangely around Izuku. He didn't want Izuku to hang out with any other kid but him and when the little green bean said he wanted to make more friends, Katsuki got really angry and stopped talking to him at all.

Izuku felt bad about it and tried to patch things up, but Katsuki refused to listen to him; he became aggressive towards other kids and since they were afraid of him, no one approached Izuku again.

But now... after a little bit more than twenty years, they have chosen to start over again, they're friends now. It was Katsuki's idea, he ran into Izuku again the first time he walked into the coffee shop he's currently working at.

Before he could tell him anything, Katsuki apologized... It was a quiet morning, but there were still a couple of people around and the pro hero didn't care if they were watching the whole thing, he needed to apologize.

Izuku had decided to move on and forgive him a long time ago, but he told Katsuki he forgave him anyway because it seems he needed to heart it.

And now pro hero Dynamight goes to that small coffee shop every single day to see his friend.

Because they're friends now and Izuku is really happy about it.

"Nerd, get ready... We're watching All Might movies tonight, I'll make dinner!"

Usually, Izuku would get really excited about something like that, but right now he's a little bit distracted by all the scratches he can see on Katsuki's face and arms.

"Long day at work, I presume..." Izuku comments, trying to sound casual, not wanting to look too worried because there are customers around. The place has become quite popular lately, but he suspects it's because most of them want to see the pro hero in person.

"It's really nothing... Stop pouting, nerd!" Katsuki says, almost rolling his eyes at his friend.

"Why didn't you go to the paramedics, Kacchan?"

"Tch!" He huffs, crossing his arms over his broad chest. "It'd be a waste of time!"

"Nothing related to health and safety is a waste of time," Izuku argues, narrowing his eyes. "Please go back so they can patch you up... I'll have to close the shop today anyway..."

"It's really nothing, Izuku."

"Kacchan–"

"I wanted to see you!" The pro hero blurts out, blushing. He seems really flustered. "I didn't want to waste any more time doing that; I was desperate to see you, besides, this is nothing to worry about..."

Izuku feels his cheeks turning red, but he refuses to look away from Katsuki.

"Sit there, I'll bring you coffee and you'll let me patch you up."

"Izuku, I'm–"

"Kacchan," the green haired barista scolds him, putting both hands over his own hips. He looks adorable, even though he's trying his best to be intimidating.

"Fine!"

They usually watch movies at Katsuki's place; not only his apartment is better than Izuku's, it's in a nice part of the city. The pro hero doesn't like Izuku's place at all, mostly because he says the neighborhood he lives in is dangerous.

"You should move in with me," he blurts out as he sits on the couch next to Izuku with two bowls of noddles in his hands; he hands one of them to his friend.

"I can take care of myself, Kacchan," Izuku assures him and he realizes right before chuckling that his friend is the one pouting now.

"Move in with me anyway," the pro hero insists as his cheeks turn slightly pink. "I know you can protect yourself and you have so far, but... I want to be with you."

"You mean like your roommate?"

"Well... Yeah, in a way, but actually..."

"That doesn't sound bad," Izuku beams. Katsuki is his friend and he's the number one hero so of course he'd like the idea of being his roommate. "I'll pay you rent."

"You don't have to," Katsuki mumbles; he's clearly a little bit flustered and yet he gets even closer to Izuku.

"Then I won't–"

"Alright, you can pay me rent, nerd."

"Great!"

Katsuki looks happier than before, he's constantly talking about the things he's changing in the apartment before Izuku moves in; he's a very good friend, Izuku is so glad they patched things up after a long time.

He'll be paying as much as he did for his old apartment, which Izuku knows it'll be like robbing the pro hero, but Katsuki refuses to let him pay more.

Sometimes Katsuki talks about the other pro heroes who work for the same agency as he works at and it usually gets Izuku all excited because he's a hero fanboy after all.

"I'd love to meet your friends! I hope you can bring them here someday!" Izuku beams, eyes glimmering with enthusiasm as he makes a macchiato for the woman who just walked into the shop.

"Tch! Fine!"

The very next day, Izuku meets Pinky, Red Riot and Chargebolt; he can't quite believe it.

"Finally!" Pro hero Pinky says, grinning from ear to ear. "I thought I'd never meet the man who has Blasty wrapped around his little finger!"

"SHUT UP, PINKY!" Katsuki growls, but turns as red as Izuku in seconds.

It seems his friends have a wrong impression of their relationship.

"That's not the case at all," he says, feeling flustered. "We're friends! I don't have anyone–"

"You are truly adorable!" Pinky squeaks, cutting him off, before leaning over the counter to pinch his cheek.

"OI, HANDS OFF!"

"I'm Kirishima Eijiro," Red Riot introduces himself, before Katsuki has the opportunity to growl at Pinky again. It seems he's used to these kind of situations. "It's a pleasure!"

"Midoriya Izuku!"

"This is Kaminari Denki and the other pro hero is Ashido Mina."

"You're too pretty for our gremlin," Kaminari comments then, right before Katsuki hits him on the back of the head. "Ouch!"

Izuku can tell Katsuki doesn't actually hurt him, no matter how much he glares at him. It's more than obvious that he actually considers them his friends.

"So who's your favorite hero, cutie?" Ashido asks with a smirk on her face; for some reason she always looks like she has a mischievous plan in mind.

"All Might!" He answers without hesitation, prompting Katsuki to pout.

"Bro, it's alright!" Kirishima pats his friend's back gently. "I'm sure you're the second! Right, Midoriya?"

"Of course!" He answers immediately, growing nervous. He's not sure, but it looks like those three are planning something.

Katsuki seems happier after that, although it looks like he expected Izuku to say he was the favorite.

"What about the third?"

Izuku turns bright red under Ashido's mischievous glance.

"Just... Wait a minute I have to serve the tables..." He's never been happier to have customers in the shop.

"Don't think I have forgotten, cutie. Tell us who's the third..."

There's a very good reason he gets flustered by that question, however, he also doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

"Hey, Midoriya," Kirishima says sincerely. "It's okay if it's not any of us."

"So?" Now even Kaminari seems intrigued. Katsuki is already narrowing his eyes.

"It's pro hero Shoto."

"He's our friend too! I can bring him here so you can meet him!"

Izuku looks away from Ashido, feeling his face like it's on fire.

"I don't think it's a good–I mean It'd be awkward... I'll make it awkward because I used to have a crush on him and I'll be too nervous around him..." Izuku mumbles, scratching his left cheek nervously.

"He's going to kill him," Kaminari whispers, although it's loud enough for Izuku to hear.

"What?" He's confused, especially when he notices that Katsuki is grimacing like he's in pain.

"I'll bring Todoroki tomorrow."

"NO, YOU WON'T, PINKY!"

"Relax, Blasty... He doesn't have a crush on him anymore. Right, Midoriya?"

"Yeah, it was just a small crush anyway... Nothing serious," Izuku stammers, feeling watched. Why is that so important? He shouldn't have said anything.

Even as they're watching a movie, Izuku feels like something is different. Katsuki is strangely quiet and Izuku can feel him staring at him instead of watching the movie.

"What is it, Kacchan?"

The pro hero scoots closer, Izuku's cheeks turn slightly pink and he knows it's the worst possible moment to remember that, but his mind kindly reminds him he also used to have a crush on Katsuki. But it's okay now because they're friends...

"Screw it!"

"Wha–cchan!" Izuku squeaks as soon as Katsuki grabs him by the waist and sits him on his lap.

"Would you go on a date with me, nerd?"

For a second, Izuku thinks he's joking, but he knows Katsuki doesn't joke about things like that... He looks up, meeting red eyes as he feels Katsuki's hand cradling his face.

"I'd l-love to," he whispers and loves the way Katsuki smirks with triumph, but also relief.

He kisses Izuku without a second thought; the kiss is sweet, but turns into something more desperate that makes Izuku realize something...

"Wait," he pushes the pro hero away, trying not to chuckle when the blond pouts. "Is this why you wanted me to move in with you?"

At the question, Katsuki turns almost as red as his beautiful eyes.

"Yes... I wanted to tell you then that I'd be happy to start a formal relationship with you, Izuku... Because I'm in love with you."

Feeling a little bit overwhelmed, Izuku buries his face in the curve of Katsuki's neck; he listens to the pro hero chuckle.

[ Hello my dear followers and or fans, I present to you a Katsuki Bakugou headcanon request. The lovely @ladycoleigh and I technically devised this plot together, but I hope you enjoy it. This is super long, I apologize. Don't say I don't feed you well. Happy Pride! ]

[ Headcanons Summary: Male!Reader is a Shiketsu High School intern at Best Jeanist's office and upon meeting Katsuki things don't go so well between the two of you. As time passes, Katsuki finds himself drawn to you and you to him which causes some internal questions to rise regarding sexuality. Happy Pride y'all! ]

It was easy to recognize him from the Provisional Licensing Exam and the Sports Festival. He was an angry but powerful hero student who focused on one thing. Victory. When he didn't get it, or something didn't work his way he got a little...explosive.

"Talk to him," Best Jeanist ordered, pushing you past his agency's doors, and ignoring your panicking. Katsuki was pissed about something, and it was your job to fix it. But how were you supposed to do that? "A-are you sure about this?" Best Jeanist nodded, believing that Katsuki would relate more to a male his own age.

The first thing he said to you when confronted was, "Get away from me or I'll blast your damn face off!" You trembled, trying to break the ice. "Um, your hair looks gorgeous! Uh, you look h-handsome! B-Best Jeanist does a great job," you murmured. "Eh?" Katsuki immediately stood up and towered over you. "What the hell do you mean handsome!?" he screamed before unleashing his quirk.

"I'm sorry!" you bowed in front of Best Jeanist's desk with smoke still seeping from your ripped and tattered clothes. Your skin and hair were also burned. "Maybe he doesn't like being complimented by another man?" you suggested, glancing away. "Hm...I see," Best Jeanist replied, standing up with his hands behind his back. "Keep trying," he ordered. It would take a lot of effort to break Katsuki's stubborn nature.

To help or make things more difficult, Best Jeanist assigned Katsuki and you to patrol together. During said patrol Katsuki didn't say a word to you and wandered off alone, leaving you to your own devices. You wanted to tell Best Jeanist you refused to work with him anymore, but a small part of you felt drawn to him. You didn't know what the reason was yet.

"You acted reckless!" you screamed after Katsuki apprehended a villain. "Yeah!? And who the hell do you think you are?!" he said with a snarl. You swallowed hard when he loomed over you and stared at him longer than you should have before answering. "I'm Y/n from Shiketsu High School, I s-saw you at the Provisional Licensing Exam but, uh, we didn't talk to each other," he rolled his eyes. "Yeah, there's a reason for that!" he snapped in reply.

"I just don't get it!" You groaned and leaned over the table with your hands tangled in your hair. "Like don't get what?" Camie replied. She was one of your closest friends. "He's such a jerk but I...I think I might be attracted to him?" Camie's eyes lit up. "O.M.G. You have the hots for a guy!? Who is he?" she asked, as open or absent-minded as usual. But you weren't ready to tell her more.

"Uh, K-Kacchan, are you okay? You seem distracted an-" Izuku stumbled back when Katsuki glared at him. "I'm fine, dumbass! Leave me the hell alone!" he screamed, before turning back to his desk and trying to concentrate, but damned thoughts of you kept invading his mind.

Was it strange to think another boy was handsome? Because Katsuki was! From his striking red eyes to that wild hair and those beautiful teeth that made you melt whenever he smirked. You groaned before slamming your head against the table. Best Jeanist was walking by and noticed your strange behavior. "Hm..." He had his suspicions but couldn't confirm anything now.

"I don't think I've ever had a crush before! But..." Camie shook her head and placed her hands on your shoulders. "Like that's why we're here at the mall! Just tell me who you think is hot and like who is not!" she explained, and while you were reluctant you followed through. "So that's another guy you find totes attractive and-" she paused when you sniffled. "Huh, what's wrong?" she asked, and you shook your head internally denying your homosexuality.

"I'd like to ask what is going on between you and Y/n," Katsuki stiffened his posture in response to the question, his jaw also clenched, and his hands curled into fists. "Just what the hell is that supposed to mean?" he demanded. "Nothing is going on between us damn it!" Despite his words, Best Jeanist picked up on the slight flush across Katsuki's cheeks. "Hm, I understand. Carry on with your routine," he replied, shooing him away.

"What!?" Camie screamed, snatching your phone out of your hand to get a better look at the pictures of Katsuki you had taken, as creepy as that sounded. But you couldn't help but take pictures of him. There was something so...amazing about him. "That's the angry guy from the licensing exam! I mean he's totes hot if you like him!" she commented. "I..." you sighed. "I think I do like him...I still don't know what's wrong with me, but I don't think he likes me back and-" You paused when Camie laid a reassuring hand on your shoulder.

"What the hell is your problem!?" Katsuki growled, pinning you against the wall with his hand around your throat. You had no idea what you did, but he was clearly angry about something and taking it out on you. Still, being this close to the one you liked made your heart race. "W-what are you talking about?" you replied with misty eyes, feeling his grip loosen and that look of anger fade momentarily.

After pulling Katsuki's hand from your throat and dragging him back to his office, Best Jeanist said, "I am trying to run a clean and proper organization, Bakugou. Whatever personal bias you have against Y/n won't be tolerated and-" Katsuki frowned, and Best Jeanist noticed an expression he had never seen before glistening in the boy's eye. "It's not biased I..." Katsuki growled. "Damn it, I don't know, I like them or something, okay!" Best Jeanist frowned. "And this is how you show you have feelings for another?" he questioned, angering Katsuki even more.

"You totally have to make a move!" she demanded, and your cheeks flushed. "W-what!? How am I supposed to do that? I can't do that at the agency. Best Jeanist would kill me and-"she waved her hands around. "Okay, okay," she said, tapping her chin. "Like maybe we can think of something else," she suggested.

It all started when Deku told her this

What Izuku really says (at least in the anime) is: “He’s amazing. He may be a disagreeable guy, but his ambition, confidence, physical strength and quirk are all vastly superior to mine.”

which must have been so confusing to her? The whole class, who barely even know each other, quickly figured out that Kacchan has it in for Deku... and Deku-kun says THIS ?!!?!!?!! ?!WTF 

Yes. That’s quite the interesting paradox you’ve stumbled upon.

And Ochaco clearly thought about it some, because this doozie came out of her mouth to Kacchan when Kacchan wanted to yell at Izuku for daring to save him during their practical exam against All Might. 

She gets an immediate enraged reaction out of Kacchan, but that’s because she STRUCK a sensitive nerve. He yells the most when he’s put in uncomfortable positions and doesn’t want to think about how he really feels, on top of those knee-jerk explosive reactions to anything Deku related. Classic tsundere.

She just wanted all the inexplicable raging to stop... and to an extent, these words helped him re-assess a little.

Because after Ochaco called him out on pushing Deku away ‘cause he’s afraid (afraid of what? getting close to him perhaps, for reasons explained in this post but the gist is that Kacchan has always been scared of loving and losing Izuku), this was the turning point where he really began to look at Izuku and piece together the secret of OFA. 

One other person pointed out this same thing, All Might... “and you young Bakugou, you fear his heart.” and because All Might is someone Kacchan respects so much, when AM mentioned it, he thought... well shit, if All Might is also saying it, maybe there is some truth to this, after all?

Ochaco was also there to see this heart wrenching breakdown of Izuku’s: 

I think anyone who saw this was really hit by something they didn’t fully comprehend: Izuku has some incredibly deep feelings for Kacchan. Because this? This is Izuku being hysterically inconsolable that he couldn’t protect him. Couldn’t save him. You wouldn’t act like this over somebody that isn’t important to you, whose presence isn’t critical to your livelihood. There may have been some realisation by the class that Kacchan is just that for Deku.

After this point, by association of Class 1-A and watching Deku, she’s probably started to notice after DvK2 that Kacchan and Izuku are getting along much better than before, not from positive interactions, as their growing friendship is mostly done in secret, but by a distinct lack of the usual negative ones. The whole class likely shares the feeling that Kacchan’s personality has been tamed a bit. This sentiment is expressed in one of the school briefs by Kirishima to Fat Gum and Sun Eater.

If they started getting along it would be THE TALK OF CLASS A for days. No one had truly noticed it yet and they’d make a big deal if they did. 

Later on there were fragments of their renewing friendship that did get picked up on, though. A gold star goes to Kaminari, who noticed Kacchan had stayed up waiting for everyone, but most importantly, waited for Deku to return home safely. This was why he called him Kacchan, the nuance was Kaminari encouraging Kacchan to, rather than sitting alone, go seek Deku and the others out after they came back from their big mission, since he had been waiting and worrying about them all with the rest of the class. (full breakdown of this moment in this post)

Sero also gets one with his “The house arrest boys are late again.” Given that this is still their nickname, it must have been a recurring thing for them since the house arrest. The class knows the most unusual suspects have been doing something together. Sussy.

It’s also very importantly noted by Kirishima that “Even those with seemingly rocky relationships might get on better than the rest of the world knew” ... This line was purposefully placed here because the reader will know this fits BkDk to a T.

Bakudeku’s Kizuna*: exists  and the clueless world = Ochaco

(*Kizuna is a deep connection between two people unable to be severed)

Ochaco thought that Kacchan and Deku were never going to get along. Her words influenced Deku to doubt himself about Kacchan taking his hand, because she believed Kacchan would never give help to or receive help from Deku. She thought she understood them and she had their relationship pinned down to the aggressor and his victim who takes it willingly because he’s so kind. She thought wrong.

And this mistake became more clear to her during Izuku’s special quirk training when she was asked for advice in how to float and saw Kacchan was also there blowing Deku up (at his behest) and she reprimanded Kacchan, believing him to be bullying Deku again, all because she follows the assumption that they aren’t close and that they don’t hang out. Wrong and wrong once again, Ochaco...

Anyone observing Kacchan’s quieter, more reserved behaviour along with seeing him and Deku spend more and more time alone together surely feels:

Hmm. There seems to be a correlation here.

Increase in relationship with Izuku => Decrease in Kacchan’s anger

Whatever could it mean?

Later on Ochaco has a very specific moment of noticing Deku and Kacchan’s closeness when she saw them splitting off from the group together.

Horikoshi drew a panel only of her staring after them in bewilderment.

By now, she’s probably thinking... what is going on with these two that they are going off together by themselves (again)? And I think this is where she begins to notice that she’s not as close to Izuku as she thought, that she is not in the loop with whatever is going on with him, while most unexpectedly, Kacchan is.

And what the entire class witnessed on the next one, was completely shocking to them because from their POV: Kacchan, someone who very vocally doesn’t like people touching him, often complains about people being too close, can’t stand people even walking ahead of him and most of all, usually yells about or at DEKU...

jumps in first to save Izuku from falling, embracing him in his arms after a beautifully heartfelt apology and plea for him to return back to UA... back home to him. With all the humility and all the comfort he could muster, Kacchan treats Izuku so very gently and compassionately. “I know.” Kacchan was the one who saw Izuku and had his back. He had him back.

And Class 1-A had all witnessed it.  Katsuki “I know Deku best” Bakugou.

But Ochaco saw a glimpse of something beyond the dark and angsty relationship everyone thought they had. A glimpse of Kacchan’s hidden feelings that must have been there this whole time, lying underneath his skin, deep inside his bones and swimming around with the marrow.

Kacchan sacrificed himself for Deku and had gotten hurt and Deku had run away, taking the danger with him. Kacchan had been struggling with Deku’s absence the most and Kacchan spearheaded the retrieve Deku operation. Deku had strayed too far from them and Kacchan was the one to find him and convince him to come back. Deku had fallen, and without anymore hesitation, Kacchan had jumped in to pick him up. Kacchan’s barriers were down, making his dedication to Izuku all the more transparent. They have this constant push and pull of each other. An inescapable gravity. And she pieced it all together. Kacchan, the one who has always been with Deku, is the one who saves him.

Ochaco realised she was seeing the kizuna, clear as day. She saw

And while this was all going on, you can see everyone else is running over to Deku, but strangely, not Ochaco. She is standing in the distance, watching Deku being held in Kacchan’s arms, unmoving. Class 1-A didn’t know what any of it meant, but I think Ochaco knew. She realised that she wasn’t the person who Deku needed most. That if she were the folds of the origami, then Katsuki Bakugou was Izuku Midoriya’s paper.

Uraraka Ochaco finally understood.

he was the one who had the unhealthy thoughts and is NEVER allowed to front because god knows what he would do to bakugo.

the second would be the izuku we see when he’s fighting. i feel like this guy fronts when he gets all fired up and ready to protect people.

the third would be the one who’s super insecure and because of all this trauma he has, is incredibly depressed. i feel like this third alter would be reminiscent of child izuku, but like incredibly depressed.

this third alter would have those thoughts of ‘im not good enough’ and ‘why am i here?’. ‘i’ll never be good enough’ ‘i deserved what kacchan did to me’

izuku’s fourth alter would be the pervert. he would be the one that has izuku’s search history all fucked up. this alter is love obsessed and searching for a lover and is desperate for someone to love him.

now onto yandere! deku system

i feel like the deku system would become obsessed with the reader because of their caring and brave nature. or maybe you’re shy and clumsy. either way, it makes them feel like they have to protect you.

host!izuku would obsess over you in very gentle and doting ways. he’s the kind to give you a back massage and make you food and fold your clothes. he’s the malewife gentlest one with you.

protector!alter would be sadistic and bloodthirsty, so he would be obsessed with you because you’re weak to him. he doesn’t want to see you hurt by bakugo katsuki so he has to protect you.

protector!alter would be the most violent and temperamental. please follow his orders. he will force his way to front and break your bones.

child!alter is the only platonic yandere here. he likes how you treat eri and he wants you to treat him that way too. don’t treat anyone else that way though! that’s reserved for him!

child!alter might be a child, but is very manipulative and still has host!izuku’s quirk and strength. he can and will lock you away. he’s a brat and the personified ‘hurt people, hurt people’ along with protector!alter ofc.

-Getting back to you to give the products, Seiya will be asking you questions related to his inquiries, what makes you choose the brand, do you not use another, etc

-Seiya might not be the one using it, but your comfort, both of you need to be prepared -is what he thinks. He's knowledged enough to know basic things and cares for this stuff, the cramps, the tendency for females negative emotions will often take place during the cycle, the changes in appetite, etc.

-He will personally searches for things that could comfort and put the pain at ease, not really depending on the thoughts of making you dependant to medications -teas, chocolates, hot packs.

"I've checked reviews online, about 70% of them agrees that brand X's product shares the same comfort as the brand that you're using, want to try that out later?"

"It appears in studies that chocolates could help with the cramps, make sure you eat these later okay?"

Kisaragi Nanao

-Obviously, unquestionably won't bat an eye on your request. Nanao grew up with two younger sisters, the opposite of Kaito but surely enough he had faced same situation as Kacchan did without being forced  and will completely understand the heavyness, desperation and his sisters' feelings that leads him to sometimes volunteer to restock them.

"Oi~" His voice ringing inside of the house calling for his sisters. "Nii-chan will be going to get groceries, do you need to restock your stuffs?"

-Nanao won't feel an ounce of awkwardness or embarrassment going to the store straight to the feminine hygiene aisle and browse around, sometimes staying for too long in curiousity of those wings, non-wings, liners and stuff.

Looking at the endless rows of feminine products that his eyes started to hurts due to the bright packaging as he whispered to himself, "Does the wings and non-wings type makes that much of a difference when you wear it? Hmmmm, why is that one so small?"

-He also strikes me as the type of boyfriend who keeps pads on him, literally like in all the bags that he uses will have one of your favourite brand.

It was on your date after the training camp, the both of you went to the mall, having fun until you felt the dampness on your underwear that you excused yourself. Nanao was waiting outside the toilet for you when he got the LINE text from you.

"My cycle starts, I'm sorry but could you grab me some pads? I'm really sorry! >-<;;"

"Just pads are you sure? I could grab some new undergarments too 🐸"

"Just pads is fine!"

A second after Nanao grabs a female stranger that just came out of the toilet asking if he could get inside to assist you, which melt the older female's heart. She announced it in the toilet and the occupants doesn't seem to mind, the elders looking closely at him making sure he's not doing anything funny.

"(Y/N) which stall are you using?"

A meek voice came out one of the stall, Nanao went infront of it and opens his small sling bag getting a pad out handing it to you. "How is it? Do you need my jacket?"

-Nanao will, without a doubt, assure you that it is a small matter, one that you shouldn't feel burdened nor be embarrassed to ask him for his help.

Narumiya Minato

-Will most probably be shy at first when you asks for his help but since it can't be helped -emergency request, the most important thing would be his s/o's comfort rather than his embarrassment right?

- Minato are the one who took care of things back at his home since his father most of the time were busy working, ever since his mother passed away, he took the reign to take care of things at home. He's the one who cleans the house and cooks the meals, it is only natural that he is also the one taking care of groceries.

- Hence him knowing the time for their local markets' sales schedule -date and time. For Minato who probably remembers the store like the back of his hand, in all likelihood has been avoiding the feminine care aisle all his life.

-Getting to the store he will know where to go right away without wasting any time, though upon reaching the aisle he is very likely to feel really awkward as his eyes wanders around to find said products that you asked for -brands, size, types and all.

-To presume that he might gets confused and everything, Minato won't wont let anything deters him from asking the staff or any female customer down the aisle.

'Sixteen pads for each small package for this brand, if I buy two of this... It's ten cent cheaper than the bigger package of 24...'

'What else would someone on their cycle would need other than this, hmmm...'

I've been catching up on finishing one work in progress that has been collecting dust since October last year, it's currently 70% done I'd say.
