as funny as the tree law stuff is, the punishment for that is a fine
and a reminder: If the penalty for a crime is a fine, then that law only exists for the lower class
it's funny, but i doubt it'll amount to much beyond the strikers being subjected to heat stroke because do you really think that LA would side with the strikers?

Ok I have a question
So we all know how the link's meet the little cutie pie DEKU SCRUBS reader
But what if the reader got lost and they others saw her get grab by the bat Dragon and was flying away with the reader but is land on the light Dragon and see sage pulling a different sorwd and runs to him
And of course she falls off but gets her flowers Ready even tho she not that good
Mage saga quickly picks her up and is like your cute and mine now
And he the only one that don't fallow the link's and dose his own thing cuz of wild.
Image him being nice to the koroks when the Reader is looking but you know very well he not when she not.
As much as I hate saga sending the guts to space it also a trait I can see he uses and not wild.
And you know very well saga is keeping the little reader with him even making cute pots for her flowers so she can sleep and hide in peach and safety!
He would make so much stuff for her and also keep the links out of his way cuz his baby now
Even great great great Grandpa DEKU tree gabe him the ok cuz he knows she helping saga heal ! And is going to be the deku tree here. In the future.
JUST image the Case scenes the link are going to do
And wild not having the ability to TELEPORT cuz his shirns don't work but his other stuff dose
It didn't give much of a chase. The demon was gone before anyone could react, leaving through the portal it made the group surround the triangle that would lead to another version of Hyrule. Another land with its own sources of trouble. No one was in the mood to risk it. Knowing their luck it would loop back around before nightfall so no need to worry about saying goodbye yet.
Time was the closest. He was the leader and if he went through the rest would follow. There was no way he would lead them through that. Not in their condition. It had been one assault after another and none of them could keep going at this pace. If they made the wrong move theyd wind up at the other end of an ambush. Legend could hardly walk much less keep up with the rest- no. they would not go no matter what happened.
You were hiding between Time’s legs. As was your spot when things went wrong. He had told you and the others that you were not to stray from anyone in the group when a fight broke out. Iut was unacceptable for you to wander off or get lost and that was only more strictly enforced when a fight began.
Time turned around to address the group. It was the perfect opportunity. Surely he wouldn't even notice if you got away quickly. He didn't even note your disappearance until you had walked too far away. Hyrule sent out a shout of warning and Time turned around. He went into a roll, intending to tuck you under one of his arms but it didn't work. You were gone before anyone else could react.
“So when I was speaking did not a single one of you think to warn me?” Time barked out. Angry that no one had said anything sooner.
“Why would they have any reason to run off?” Sky commented. Legend rushed past him and looked into the portal.
“Oh Hylia no- Guys! It’s closing!” align with Legend the rest of the group moved forward. A few, Wild and Twilight fanned out just in case an attack hit as it would give the enemies a less tempting target. The portal was shrinking. A sign that the dark magic holding it together was fading. Each passing second took you farther away from them.
Timed turned around already yelling. He got to his feet quickly and would have gone through as well but he wasted precious seconds getting up off the ground. Legend and Warrior were already holding him back. At this point if he went through no one else would be able to follow. They couldn't split up no matter what. That was the rule.
“Give it up Time. I'm sure they're safe but who knows if you'd be. It's closing, just give it up mate.” Warrior tried to reassure the old man but his heart wasn't in it.
“The portals only open up to another Hyrule. That cuts down on the amount of places they could be. We’ll find them again I'm sure.” Legend said refusing to let go of Tiem until he stopped pulling. Sky in a moment of genius or stupidity did something random. He took off his water canteen and tossed it through the almost shut portal.
“Yeah, Like that will help. Wind asked.
“It won't help us but it'll be good for them. The portal cant carry us at this stage but our item smight make it through. If it does land with them then they'll now know we're looking for them. Plus they're a plant so I imagine they might need the water.” It was the last act any of them were able to take before the portal closed. Sky couldn't see his friend's eyes. Even if the looks were not judgmental he felt terrible at not being able to do more. It was a tough situation and none of them ever thought you might run away. Not after all you'd been through.
“That was your only water canteen. I can imagine you're assuming one of us will share.” Legend said. His tone was dry but as he finished talking Hyrule unclipped his own and offered it to Sky who refused.
“They're a plant so it would be good for them.” Sky was guessing on that part. They were all guessing when it came down to how to take care of you. You were good at communicating your needs when you were with them. The group got a kick at guessing what it was you were thinking about or trying to tell them.
“If they landed in a desert that would be helpful.” Wind meant the comment sincerely. Even if it was just a shoe at least he did something rather than stand around and watch. None of them could have gone through themselves but Sky had the right idea.
“There's no need for so much sass.” Warrior let go of Time and Legend followed suit. The old man was more attached to you than the others were. Time pushed his hand away. He wasn't in the mood. They lost one of their members and no one did a damn thing to help. You were with him. You had been right there in his umbrella of safety and he was the one who messed it all up. Even if everyone else was watching you dash away he should have caught you.
“For all of our sakes, let's hope they landed somewhere safe.” you would make your way back to them. Time knew you would. It was impossible for anyone to stand in their way. You would be back safe in tehri group or else the skies themselves would be torn apart as grievance.
“Where are we going?” Wind asked.
“The shadow won't help us any by opening the gate back up  and next time we approach it won't lead us to the same place they went. Our only way to find them again is to move on.” The traveller had a good point. Although no one wanted to get moving they all knew they had to. Their only way to ensure your safety was to move forward and find you as soon as possible. All they had to do was wait. You would ba back- they were sure of it.
. . .
“What the-” This was impossible. For a number of reasons you should not be here. How did someone smuggle a korok on top of a dragon? To be more correct it wasn't a korok. You didn't share the distinctive markings of one- missing both a mask and the tree bark blessing on top of your skin. Sage took a picture praying to all that was holy that something would appear in the compendium. Nothing.
“Why are you here?” You didn't greet him with a yippee or any other friendly sound he had grown accustomed to from the forest dwellers. Rather you just had a huge grin on your face. The wind was fierce and it was funny to watch the plant on top of your head whip back and forth from the gale.  Was this a good hiding spot for you? A puzzle on the dragons back? A shrub as large as a dog was going to bother him while he was running around collecting scales. How sweet.
The dragon's hair tangled around his feet as he walked over to pick you up. You made a sound. For all that is sane in this world don't yippee Sage didn't think he could handle one right now- he frowned. Just what were you? There was some relation to forest koroks somehow but it escaped him. He needed to get you back home. Teleporting wasn't an option. Checking the purahpah the map said they were above akala.
There was no way he was carrying you across half of Hyrule. You didn't have a bag full of rocks or anything heavy so he wouldn't have to use the arm but it wasnt looking like you'd be easy to carry. The route was either far too long or he'd have to swing by death mountain. No. no you two would be staying here until he could drop into the lost woods. He'd just have to figure out a way to hold you while falling through the sky.
“Speak- say do something!” his newest priority was getting you to safety. Keeping you here on top of the head of a giant dragon was not a safe bet. You'd likely fall or get swept off by the wind. Worse than that he had to get you back home. He couldn't leave you by the side of the road. Sometimes he'd pass by koroks and decide they'd have to be left to their fates but you were different. Leaving you by the road was not a choice.
Relinquishing control of the situation he sat down in front of you. You seemed to enjoy his defeat making some noise of joy-not a yippee- and bounced around him. Going from one side to the other around him until he managed to grab you. This wouldn't work. If you didnt settle down you'd bounce right off of the dragon and plummet. Sure he'd jump off to grab you but then the two of you would have to walk and he was going to make you walk! No being carried by the ultrahand.

I Trusted You
Neteyam x Female Reader
Reader is Tonowari and Ronal’s eldest daughter
So, it's somewhat inspired off of the scene in Avatar 1 where Neytiri get mad at Jake and the whole "I trusted you." When Jake revealed that the humans were going to attack Home tree.
If you have seen a fic with a similar idea to this, pls let me know! I don’t want it to seem as if I’m stealing, I just thought of this when I rewatched the movie a couple of days back.
Y/n stood in front of her mother and father, shock all over her face as they realized that the reason the Sky People were here, was to lure out Jake and his family. They killed a tulkun and her calf, Ronal's very own spirit sister, and the Sullys were now explaining why.
"They're hunting you?" Tsireya asked sadly. Ronal looked furious, as she had every right to be, but so did Tonowari, who was as angry as he was disappointed.
But the one who felt most pain was Y/n.
"Neteyam, you say you knew this would happen?" She asked, fear evident in her voice as she stared into his lime eyes, panic setting into her chest. He was the one she wanted to mate with, but if he knew...
"Y/n, my father, he said there was a chance-"
Y/n frowned, barely able to swallow down the lump in her throat as she felt her eyes gloss over with tears. Neteyam held her hands, trying to make eye contact as she looked at the ground. "Y/n, please listen I-"
"I trusted you," Y/n said, her voice breaking, ears going back, "I TRUSTED YOU!"
Neytiri felt a wave of deja vu from behind Jake, as he had a hand on her shoulder as everyone watched the exchange between both eldest children of important Na'vi. Neteyam had a look of desperation. "Y/n please-"
"SHUT IT! I trusted you and helped you learn our ways when you knew this would happen!" Y/n shrieked and sobbed as she pushed him away from her, but he still had a hold on her wrists. "You will never be one of the people!"
"Y/n-" Neteyam tried again, this time Lo'ak also entering the conversation. "Y/n listen to him-"
"Y/n," Kiri began, but watched as Y/n ripped her fingers out of Neteyam's grasp.
"KEHE! Kehe, I will not listen to you half-breeds!" She sobbed, walking away as she stepped behind her sister and mother, escaping from Neteyam's view. Tsireya looked at the Sully family before running after her sister, Ronal nodding at her youngest daughter.
Neteyam was about to go after his beloved, but Lo'ak caught his older brother before anything. Neteyam looked up to see Ao'nung glaring harshly at both. He never thought he'd hear her of all people actually call them half-breeds, and it hurt more than anything he had gone through physically and emotionally.
Meanwhile Neytiri looked at Jake with a look of sadness. They knew of a moment like this long ago, one of a similar case. Neytiri sympathized with Y/n, but seeing the look of sadness on her son's face broke her in more ways she could imagine. Jake rubbed a hand on her shoulder, and she felt a small sense of comfort, yet not enough to rid her of the sad feeling.
Tuk stayed beside Kiri as they walked towards Neteyam, putting a hand on his shoulder. Neteyam felt absolute sadness, as if Y/n just stole his heart and ran with it. He should've told her, but he had to follow his father's wishes. He felt as if it would've been childish if he blamed his father, besides that, he was the main one at fault.
Meanwhile Jake felt awful, and it didn't help when Ronal yelled at them. "So you brought the sky people here with you all to make us suffer as well?"
Jake felt his heart clench. He knew it might've been cowardly, but he truly believed running was the best option to keep his family safe. Yet, now he saw the only option to permanently rid himself and his family of Quaritch was to fight back, but he couldn't bring himself to risk putting his family in jeopardy.
He wasn't ready, but he could see the problems it was causing amongst Neteyam and Y/n. The amount of pain he himself felt because he knew what it was like as he was in Neteyam's position.
The only thing he could hope for, was that the love between Neteyam and Y/n would be strong enough that they would end up together again, happy, and that this wouldn't be the end.
Tuk began crying as she made her way beside Neytiri, who gently calmed the young na'vi. Things would be a lot harder from now on, but they would manage. It was clear Tuk was sad from hurting Y/n, as she had been welcoming and kind, yet this conversation had happened.
They would have to, but Neteyam wasn't able to keep his head focused on anything, except for Y/n. His beloved Y/n.
This very conversation shook every one from the tribe. Ao'nung got down and walked towards Neteyam. "If you ever touch her, I will not hold back. You broke her heart, so you will pay the price."
He then walked away, looking for his friends and not saying a word.
It took all the strength in Neteyam not to cry, but at the end, he succeeded, up until they were alone and he could cry freely. Jake and Neytiri tried to console the poor boy, but to no avail.
He was broken. Absolutely shattered. He would find a way to make it up to her, because he couldn’t live with her being angry at him for Eywa knows how long.

Of Battle Cries
I'm back baby!!! Sorry for the long wait, this one is a doozy, but y'all already know the gist! Have fun!!!
Kili's POV
Three days since we emerged from the Goblin tunnels, with barely anything to eat. Right now, we were camping in a hidden gully, and everyone was getting worried. Myrin and Bilbo had gone missing, and there was no sign of them. Right now, Balin was up top, keeping watch for Goblins, Wargs, Orcs, and anything that could kill us. None of us were seriously hurt, just a few bruises, maybe a cut, but we all were fine. Gandalf was leaning up against a tree, glaring at Thorin. Thorin had his head held in his hands, grumbling to himself, every now and then shaking his head. Then Gandalf stood up and shook his staff at Thorin.
"Why did you lose my hobbit," Gandalf snarled. Thorin stood up and glared back.
"Why did you bring him, he's been useless since he left the shire," He growled back. Gandalf took a step towards Thorin.
"I do not bring useless things, and he hasn't been useless! He saved you from the trolls, and might I remind you that he helped Myrin take care of you and Oin while we were staying in Bree?" Thorin growled and lowered his gaze. I glanced at Fili, who glanced at me and shrugged.
"What do you suggest we do then," Thorin growled.
"Return to the tunnels and look for your missing companions," Gandalf shouted like it was the most obvious thing in the world, and in a way it was.
"What about leaving nobody behind," I shouted. Thorin flinched and looked at me, a pained expression in his eyes.
"It's suicide going back in there," Dwalin growled back. "As much as I don't agree with the idea, we must venture on without Myrin or the hobbit."
"Why don't you agree, you hate them both," Fili snarled at Dwalin. Dwalin stood up and pointed at Fili.
"I don't hate them, I just don't trust them," He corrected. "There is a difference!"
"You wouldn't strike up a conversation with them, and I don't trust either one bit," Dori growled. As everyone started to yell, I had enough.
"STOP YELLING," I shouted. "This won't solve anything! Petty issues aside, preferences and dislikes aside, should we go back and find Myrin and Bilbo?"
"While you all are deciding, they could be getting mauled," Gandalf reminded.
"For all we know, they could be dead already," Bofur added. "Why risk our hides if they're already dead?"
"Because they deserve more," I shouted. "Think about it, you are running for your life, being chased by goblins and Durin knows what else down there, you're all alone, and you die. Wouldn't you want someone to find you and give you a proper burial?" As the company thought, the gully grew silent. "Bilbo did sign the contract, and it states that we would take care of his funeral if it happens," I added.
"I would hope that I won't need to have one," Bilbo said behind me. Oh, how he startled me. If he hadn't dodged, I would have run him through, and I didn't need a wizard against me! Everyone crowded around Bilbo, slapping his back and giving him brotherly hugs. Balin came down, absolutely puzzled at how the hobbit had gotten past him, but Bilbo wouldn't give him any answers. Thorin stayed back, he wasn't a hugger or anything of that sort.
"How did you get out of there," Dori asked. "There were guards and we heard Wargs on the way out!" Bilbo smirked and slid something into his pocket. Gandalf sniffed and leaned forward.
"What does it matter," THe wizard said. "He's back!" Thorin looked up and growled at the wizard.
"Something that does matter," Thorin snarled. He turned to Bilbo and his gaze softened from anger to confusion. "Why did you come back? Last I remember, you were going back to Rivendell." Bilbo shuffled his feet and looked around, a thoughtful look plastered on his face.
"Well, Thorin you are right, I miss my books, armchair, and not having to worry about whether or not I'll live another day, and because of that, I have been rather useless," Bilbo said. "I would like to go home, but then, I realized that you all don't have a home. Or maybe you have one, but it's just a house, not a home. That got me thinking, and I have decided to do anything within reason to help you get your home back." Bilbo's eyes landed on Thorin and pain crossed his face for a split second, I barely caught it.
"Did you see Myrin down there," I asked. Bilbo looked at me and opened his mouth. Then a howl split the air.
"Crap, how did they follow me," Bilbo shouted, looking behind him.
"This way, quickly," Gandalf shouted, running down, farther into the gully. I ran ahead of everyone, only to stop as I came to a large hill, covered with rocks. Fili ran into me, just about knocking me over the edge. Someone else ran into us, and then Bombur tumbled into us. The entire company tumbled down the rocky slopes, then it turned into an avalanche of little pebbles. We came to a stop at the bottom, my lower half was under the rocks, and I was almost certain that I had a few in my trousers and boots. Gandalf, who was the only one besides Bombur who had everything above ground, looked back up the slope and chuckled.
"I believe that will stump them for a while," He chuckled. Thorin pulled his foot out of the rubble and helped Fili out. When everyone was out of the rubble, we continued to run away from the Goblin tunnels, and away from the mountains. I looked over at Bilbo and felt my mouth open up.
"Stop, stop, The hobbit's injured," I shouted, pulling Bilbo to a stop.
"What," Gandalf, Thorin, and Bilbo shouted. I pointed to his shirt, which was covered in blood. Oin lifted the hobbit's shirt and grunted.
"It's not my blood," Bilbo shouted, pulling his shirt back down. He had been frowning two seconds ago, but now he was panicked.
"What hobbit," Oin asked.
"It's Myrin's-"
"Climb the trees," Balin shouted. Wargs burst into the clearing I stopped the company in. Everyone scrambled to the trees, swords and other various weapons drawn. Those who weren't climbing were fighting off the Wargs. Gandalf climbed the tree at the far end of the clearing, disappearing into the boughs. Dori reached down and pulled up the hobbit, who had his sword stuck in a Warg. Bilbo and sword came up as the rest of the Wargs sprinted into the clearing. They snapped at the lowest branches, tearing them off the trees and shaking them, the company, horribly. The Wargs circled the trees and sat under them so we couldn't escape. It was at times like these that I wished that I had my bow still. However, Gandalf came up with the next best thing, flaming pinecones of all different colors. He handed one to me and Fili, we snatched more off the tree, lit them up, and threw them at the Wargs. When it hit their pelt, it stuck and I felt a little sorry for the creatures as they went tearing back into the woods, howling. Then the Wargs got smart and started to dodge the pinecones. They hit the ground and started to burn the layers of pine needles and other things that lay on forest floors. Then Wargs with Orc riders came into the clearing. The Orcs were as fouler than the others that attacked us, not only in smell. They rode towards our trees staring into the boughs.
"Fifteen bird in five firtrees," One shouted. His voice sent chills down my back. Not only was he off-key, his voice sounded like knives on a chalkboard.
"Their feathers were fanned in a firey breeze," Another yelled, sing-songing too. "But, funny little birds, they had no wings! Oh, what shall we do with the funny little things? Roast 'em alive, or stew them in a pot; fry them, boil them, and eat them hot?" More Orcs had joined the first two by this point and were laughing at us.
"Fly away little birdies, while you still can," One shouted, his voice worse than the first.
"Go away, you naughty boys," Gandalf yelled. I couldn't help but be shocked! How could Gandalf not be afraid?! "Little boys who play with fire get punished," Gandalf added. The Orcs, as much as I wished they had, didn't mind Gandalf and continued to sing.
"Burn, burn tree and fern! Shrivel and scorch! A fizzling torch to light the night for our delight, Yo HEY!" At this point, I was quaking in my boots, they frightened me so!
"Bake and toast 'em, fry and roast 'em! Till beards blaze and eyes glaze, till hair smells and skin cracks, fat melts, and bones black, in cinders, lie beneath the sky! So the dwarves shall die and light the night for our delight! Ya hey, Ya harri hey, Ya HEY!" As their song finished, I was beyond terrified. Over twenty Orcs were around the trees, or just emerging from the tree line. One just coming into my view, however, looked just like an Orc that older children would describe to scare the younger dwarflings. Thorin lowered the branch in front of him and stared at the Orc. The Orc raised his head and sniffed the air. He turned to the rider next to him and said something in Orcish. They both smiled, sending chills down my back. Thorin lowered his head and growled at the two Orcs, shaking his head.
"It cannot be," He mumbled quietly. Azog said something more, and the Wargs launched at the base of the tree Bilbo and the Ri's were in. The tree started to fall over, it knocked into my tree and the company was forced to jump from tree to tree until we all were in the last tree. Wargs started to dig at its roots, and the tree lurched backward, over the edge of the cliff I hadn't noticed before. The tree was balanced on the edge of the cliff, almost horizontal, and we all were hanging from the boughs that didn't break when the tree landed. Thorin was on the trunk, the least dazed of us. He looked up at Azog, who was almost smiling back. It was a sight that I could never forget... Azog reached behind with his good hand and grabbed something that was on his saddle. The Pale Orc raised it high and glared at Thorin as a sack cut in half fell off whatever the orc was holding. I felt my eyes bug.
"MYRIN," Fili shouted. That's what Azog was holding, and I wanted to rip him a new one! Saying one thing, and doing another are two different things, I found out then. Terror and shock kept me frozen to my branch, where my feet were dangling over nothingness. Thorin looked back at Fili and I, determination crossed his face. He got to his feet and drew Orcrist. Azog smiled again and leaned forward on his Warg saddle, egging Thorin on. Thorin brought up his armguard and raced down the trunk. As he did so, Azog threw Myrin to the ground, she rolled near the cliff and stopped. I glanced back towards Thorin, fear pricked my heart again as I saw Azog bash Thorin's face with his four-bladed mace.
"THORIN," I yelled as he fell to the ground. I swung up onto my branch, only to have it snap under my weight. Fili grabbed my arm and heaved me up to the branch that was supporting him. We both turned back to the cliff, where Thorin was getting chewed on by the White Warg like a piece of meat. He yelled out and brought his sword down onto the Warg's muzzle. It yelped and threw him across the clearing. Thorin bounced on the rock and rolled to a stop, dazed. Azog pulled his jaw in and growled something to the other Orc. That Orc snarled/smiled and slid off the Warg, sword drawn. It crept over to Thorin and put his sword at his neck. He raised it up and Bilbo tumbled into the Orc, stabbed it a few times, and stood between Thorin and Azog. Thorin's head jerked as he slipped into unconsciousness. Azog growled and rode his Warg towards Thorin, but Bilbo wouldn't have any of it. He swung his sword a few times, and that was enough to make Azog hesitate. Fili and I took that chance to get up off the branch and attack the Orcs. Dwalin, Gloin, and Balin were with us in attacking. We slashed and hacked at the Wargs and Orcs, and then something grabbed my shoulders and lifted me into the air. I looked up and saw Lakita. Then she dropped me and I yelled. I landed on the back of a giant eagle, Fili landed seconds later. The eagle circled the blazing clearing for a while as others picked up the rest of the company. Lakita scooped up Myrin and flew away, the eagles seeming to fly another way. We flew away from the clearing, and Azog's howl of furry pierced the night.
"Thorin," Fili shouted a while later. The sun was just coming over the horizon, and we could barely see our uncle. He was in bad shape, and if it wasn't for the eagle's hold on him, well..... I'm not going to think about it. A few minutes later, we came to a bear-shaped rock and that's what the eagle set Thorin down on. Gandalf was next and he raced to Thorin. Fili and mine eagle landed and we scrambled off, racing over to Thorin. He took a shuddering breath and his eyes flung open.
"The half-ling," He mumbled. Gandalf sighed and leaned on his staff, getting up.
"It's alright, Bilbo is here, he's quite safe," He mumbled back. Thorin started to get up, so Dwalin and I helped him to his feet. He shoved us off rather rudely. Thorin glared at Bilbo, who was noticing the anger on Thorin's face.
"You," Thorin growled at the hobbit. "What were you doing, you nearly got killed!" Thorin took a few steps forward, still glaring at Bilbo. "Did I not say you would be a burden," He asked. "That you would not survive in the wild?! That you had no place among us?!" If Thorin kicked Bilbo off the rock, I would never forgive him! Thorin's gaze softened and he walked towards Bilbo. "I have never been so wrong in my life," He said, embracing the startled hobbit. I was beyond startled, and so was Fili. Thorin never hugged, unless you get lost for a few days..... Fili leaned on my shoulder and sighed.
"I thought he was going to kill him," Fili mumbled. I leaned over.
"So did I," I agreed. Thorin let go of the hobbit and looked him square in the face.
"I am sorry that I doubted you," Thorin said. Bilbo held up his hand and looked around as if the rock we stood on would give him words.
"No, I would have doubted me too," Bilbo said. "I'm not a hero or a warrior..." Bilbo looked up at Gandalf. "I'm not even a burglar." Everyone chuckled. The eagles screeched and returned to the west, back towards the mountains. Thorin looked beyond the hobbit and the smile on his face disappeared. Bilbo noticed and turned around.
"Is that what I think it is," He asked. Thorin didn't answer, he just walked beyond Bilbo, an even brighter smile starting to show on his face. I wondered what he was looking at, so I walked towards him, then I spotted it.
"Erebor," Gandalf said. Bilbo looked back at him, surprised. "The Lonely Mountain. The last of the great Dwarf Kingdoms of Middle Earth."
"Our home," Thorin added quietly. I looked at Fili and smiled, looping an arm around his shoulders. A bird twittered past and Oin pointed it out.
"A raven, the birds are returning to the Mountain," He shouted, holding up his flattened trumpet. Gandalf looked at the bird and shook his head slightly.
"That my dear Oin, is a thrush," Gandalf corrected. Thorin heard it twitter and the smile brightened. I could almost see the gears in his head working.
"But we'll take it as a sign, a good omen," He said softly. Bilbo and he shared a look and the hobbit nodded.
"I do believe that the worst is behind us," Bilbo said. I found myself nodding, agreeing to the hobbit's words.
"We can't stay up here all day," Thorin said loudly, turning around. He took a step forward and winced, but he continued. Dwalin stepped up and supported Thorin until we got to the stairs. Then Thorin leaned on the rock and made his way down.
About an hour later, we were almost down to the ground. Thorin was getting worse, now he was panting with every other step, but he wouldn't accept help from anyone. The injuries that I could see were numerous. He had a nasty cut above his left eye, his nose had another, his arm was held against his ribs, where I was sure a few were broken, and he was limping on his right foot. But he walked with a certain air around him that said he was on a mission, and nothing would stop it. That and the smile had brightened tenfold, I think he was doing great, despite his panting and limping. We came around the last corner and Thorin stopped. I could barely see him around the corner. Everyone else hesitated, then ran forward. Screeching came and I sprinted around the corner. Lakita was backed up against a spire of rock, wings raised offensively and trilling angrily. I ran towards her head and started to pet it. She lowered her wings and trilled at me as Fili went to the saddle and checked on Myrin, who somehow got on Lakita's back.
"Shhhh," I told Lakita as I rubbed her head. "Anything Fili," I asked, peeking around the griffon's head. Lakita trilled again as Fili pried off his glove and licked his finger. "Fee..." He looked back at me, tears in his eyes. Tears welled in my own and I raced to the saddle where Myrin was laid across. "No, she's alright, you just didn't check hard enough," I screamed as I reached for her. Fili grabbed my arms and held them at my sides. "NO, SHE ISN'T DEAD," I screamed. Fili held me tighter as I struggled against him. Tears fell off my face, she couldn't be dead! Fili lowered to the ground and turned me around, I buried my face into his shoulder, still sobbing. Then I remembered something. I turned towards Bilbo and looked him in the eye.
"Why is Myrin's blood on your shirt," I snarled at him. Bilbo looked up from staring at his feet and looked me in the eye.
"We ran into each other," Bilbo said. Anger started to boil.
"And you two didn't stay together," Dwalin asked. Bilbo nodded with a gulp. "Why would you two of stayed separate, there's strength in numbers!"
"She was leading away some Wargs," Bilbo said. "If I had known that she was going to get killed, or that she was injured, I would have gone with!"
"You sent her to her doom," I snarled at him. Bilbo looked at me, shocked. "She was injured and you knew it, yet you still let her go!"
"Kili, hold your tongue," Gloin shouted.
"NO! This hobbit has betrayed Myrin, and I refuse to travel any longer with him!"
"Kee, Bilbo didn't betray anyone," Fili said, putting a hand on my shoulder. "He just said he didn't know...." I stared at him, was he really doing this?! "You've had a stressful day, probably need some sleep-"
"I'm just fine," I shouted, wrenching my shoulder out of his grip. Before anyone could say anything, I ran into the woods to clear my head.
A few hours later, I was in a different clearing, and I was hearing sobbing, but it wasn't my own. Curious, and needing something to get my mind off of Myrin, I got up and crept towards the sobbing. I stopped just out of sight of a form hunched over, leaning up on a tree. I couldn't see his face, but I knew who the owner of Orcrist was.
"Kili," Bilbo called, stumbling into the clearing. Thorin's head shot up and looked at the hobbit. I backed farther into the bushes. "Oh, Thorin..... Sorry, but have you seen Kili?"
"No," Thorin croaked. He cleared his throat and looked up at the hobbit again. "I haven't seen him, did he run off or something?" Bilbo walked towards Thorin, rubbing his head.
"Yeah, he thinks I killed Myrin." Oh, right...... I kind of forgot about that........... Note to self, when Bilbo is alone, apologize to him. Apologizing in front of a crowd is very embarrassing.
"What," Thorin shouted.
"Myrin and I met each other in the tunnels, and she was injured at the time with Wargs on her tail. She told me to take one path, while she took another, and to not look back no matter what I heard. Her left shoulder touched my chest, and some blood got on-"
"That hair-brained idiot," Thorin mumbled. Bilbo stopped explaining and looked Thorin square in the eye.
"You talking about Myrin, me, or Kili?"
"Myrin," Thorin growled. He mumbled something quietly, I didn't hear what he said exactly. A tense and awkward silence followed.
"Did she have any family," Bilbo asked.
"No, just friends she thought family," Thorin said wistfully.
"What were you doing out here," Bilbo asked.
"Thinking, mourning, regretting, hurting-"
"Myrin's going to come back and kill you," Bilbo shouted. Thorin jumped. I must say that I did too, I hadn't heard that much reprimanding in the hobbit's voice. "You're injured, and here you are sitting in the dirt, getting mushroom spores and other things into those wounds! Back to camp, this second!" Bilbo was up and wagging a finger at Thorin. "Besides, when Fili and I went to search for that dim-wit, they were preparing Myrin's body. It would be an insult to miss her funeral."
"Now she's going to come back and kill you," Thorin chuckled. "Nobody can get away with calling Kili a dim-wit." Thorin looked around and frowned. He stumbled to his feet and stumbled back to camp.
"I know you're there Kili," Bilbo said, looking right at me. I stood up and walked out of the bushes.
"Bilbo, look I'm sorry about-" Bilbo held up his hand.
"Apology accepted Kili," Bilbo said.
We all were at the camp, crowded around a rock bed that everyone had made to rest Myrin's body on.
"I don't know about Dwarven traditions, but in the Shire, when a lady dies, those who knew her best would say something," Bilbo had said when Nori suggested that we just put her in the river, a true traveler's burial. Normally, we would put the dwarf in the ground, and then bury the coffin with molten gold. Seeing as we were short on gold, and shovels, we went with the Shire tradition. All eyes went to Thorin, he knew her best, even better than Fili and I, even though she had raised us. I turned my gaze to Thorin, tears welling in my eyes and blurring my vision.
"She deserved more than this," Thorin started. His face was still covered in blood, and you could see that he had been crying, thanks to the little clear spots running down his face. "Myrin deserved more than to be murdered by an Orc... She deserved more than to have her family killed... Myrin has been my friend since she was very small, and couldn't ask for a better friend, confident, or a warrior...... Fate has never been kind to her, not even in death. I had hoped she would have died in some lucky dwarrow's embrace, surrounded by her friends and family... At least now she will be...." Thorin nodded and Dori moved to pick her up, but Dwalin held up his hand.
"Might I say something," He asked. Thorin nodded again. "Like you said, you couldn't ask for a better confidence. There are so many things that I regret saying to her, and many more things I wanted to thank her for. Up until a few years ago, I wouldn't even think about her without getting a snarl, BALROG, I couldn't even talk to her without insulting her in some way or another. I know it's too late to get her apology, but I hope she can still hear me." Dwalin turned to Myrin's ashen face and folded his arms. "Myrin Flamebird, I am sorry for everything, for doubting you, but mostly for creating most of the chaos that affected you in Ered Luin."

Perhaps this won't sit well with you, but I think I gotta bring this up to you, someone who ACTUALLY acknowledged that Keiwa was in the wrong in ep. 8.
To sum it up, Keiwa was a good boi, but he's not actually an idealist. Just want to point out that idealism (worldview) isn't an inherent part of kindness (action).
He's actually cynical, shown in the very 1st episode, that his speech shows he's bitter regarding life, of how his life is going nowhere, and likely also about how life isn't always going like what he envisions, like there are people not contributing to peace, or screwing over others. Like to other DGP players when they have goals conflicting with his world peace one, lacking understanding of it (including why risking their lives for it), and guilt-tripping them when he's not going to win.
But what keeps him going is Sara, where as he said, he'd work creating a peaceful world so she can be safe there. And anytime his main motivation is put on danger, while it's natural to be protective of her, it also frequently brings his worst side.
And ep. 8 shows that he puts Sara's safety above anything else, including other Rider's wishes to guarantee it by having them act as baits, but after Ace's lecture, he still focuses on saving Sara even if it doesn't immediately defeat the boss, by attacking the tree, and he's ok that he can no longer continue as long as Sara is guaranteed safe.
That time Ace also asks him if he'd care about the world if he and Sara can be safe and happy together… and Keiwa had no response. In ep. 41 it's shown that world peace doesn't matter to him if Sara is gone. With Sara gone, as Bujin Sword he has less qualms being ruthless and creating bloodshed to achieve what he wants as Sara isn't a potential crossfire victim in this conflict.
This might be sad, but sometimes characters aren't archetypes that can only be fixed as one thing, but they're individuals that has various outcomes, including having a mix of positive and negative development.
Hmm... I don't necessarily see Keiwa being unhappy about his prospects at the beginning of the show as him being a cynic. Being upset about the reality of things doesn't mean that he no longer wants to do things by his own ideals. It just means that he's confronted by how difficult it is to actually execute in practice.
What I think is that people mistakenly assume that Keiwa's idealism has always been purely motivated by selflessness. The desire itself (i.e. his wish for a peaceful world/a world where the DGP victims were revived) is idealistic, and I do think part of it is Keiwa genuinely just wanting a better world for everyone. However, he also wants that ideal world because of Sara, especially after the reveal of how their parents really died.
His priorities shifted towards protecting her as the show goes on and she gets exposed to more and more danger. As he told Ace, while working for the greater good (i.e. making his wish of reviving the DGP victims) is still worthwhile, they also had to protect what they had left. And Sara was all he had left.
So when he lost her, he also lost a large part of the motivation he had towards his ideals.
It also doesn't help that Keiwa constantly has his altruism go unreciprocated (like Ace fooling him into giving up the Boost Buckle) or mocked ("bleeding heart Tycoon") or twisted by those he trusted (like Kekera). Even his idealistic wish to revive all the DGP victims ended up just being used against him anyway.
So yeah it's not really surprising he really went off the deep end now.

hi wolfie!! 🥰 how about numbers 10 or 14? 💖
#10: i want to tell you this story without having to confess anything. merthur, (~1030 words) 5x13 canon divergence au, magic reveal, angst, open ending ~~~
“merlin, what have you done?”
silence.
“talk to me. that’s an order.”
merlin stays quiet. the king’s eyes harden like ice in the dead of winter, his face a beacon of disappointment when he crosses his arms over his chainmail. it’s a look that merlin’s seen before, and one he wants to wiggle his way out of, just like before.
“there’s nothing i’ve done, my lord. that’s part of the problem, i think,” merlin jokes with a shaky grin and hopes it’s enough for arthur to begin the usual annoyance for his servant’s abilities, for his disappearance.
“well sometime between the last time i saw you and now, you’ve gone and learned sorcery for yourself, so what the fuck, merlin!?” the vein by arthur’s temple is throbbing in concealed rage that’s all gone straight to his face in redness.
and merlin knew that it would be a nightmare to deal with, but he didn’t have to waste his time explaining it, right? a disguise would only confuse arthur more, and he wouldn't be able to stop the tide of his anger, but at least merlin was able to appear beside arthur. merlin may have taken a bit of liberty in silencing arthur’s voice for the time, but he knew once and for all that he would get the chance to kill mordred, and so —
it was terrifying, one minute arthur was smiling and the next mordred had been ready to kill arthur. until merlin stopped it — stopped time again. even mordred’s eyes fought against him but merlin’s magic was stronger, and he held him still enough to throw the sword in his very tight grip far away.
and then arthur moved.
and mordred was gasping, excalibur’s blade shining and through his ribs and back, arthur’s eyes locked on mordred’s as he took his last breath.
he’s not sure how arthur moved, but there is hardly room to talk about it, for morgana is still out there and they had to leave immediately.
“just tell me what you’ve done,” arthur says again, this time softly, looking to the flint in merlin’s hands. “have you sold your soul? made some kind of deal? how far gone are you anyway?”
merlin can’t help but roll his eyes. arthur’s too much of an idiot to see clearly and merlin’s dreaded this day, but there was no way out. arthur looked at him directly when he stood on top of the cliff, when he commanded aithusa to leave without burning them. arthur saw him use magic.
“i haven’t sold my soul, and you know that’s not how the old religion works.”
“i know that it corrupts and kills the ones i love.”
“a person who has power can corrupt and kill. so kings can do so as well. do you?”
“merlin,” arthur sighs, shakes his head and his hair shakes, his face hidden by the shadows of the trees. “you lied to me, and i just... i don’t know you at all.”
his own hands falter with the flint, the piece of wood scrapes against his knuckles, and his heart thunders in his chest.
“i have magic, arthur,” merlin takes a breath, lights the fire without a word as his eyes flash golden, “i was born with it.” he looks at arthur and feels himself rattle at the fearful expression on his friend’s face, the look he’d never wanted to see. “i use it for you, only for you,” merlin pleads, hoping his loyalty shone like a badge unspoken but arthur frowns and he suddenly stands.
merlin’s terrified, knows arthur is going to leave, going to walk away so he won't have the added responsibility of chopping his traitorous manservant's head off.
and arthur turns and merlin’s faced with his tense shoulders and sees the way his head hangs low, like he’s considering something. at any rate, he holds still, and any step he could take makes merlin that much more afraid.
morgana is still out there. he would not risk arthur dying now that they're safe together.
“you stopped time,” arthur states, keeping his back turned, and merlin can’t tell how he means it, what he’s supposed to say to that. “you’re powerful, aren’t you?”
“um,” merlin stalls, not sure if he should answer until he hears arthur huff and can instantly picture him rolling his eyes even in this moment. “yes, i - some would say i am the greatest sorcerer to walk the earth.”
arthur finally turns around again to shoot him an incredulous look of disbelief.
merlin doesn’t even hide the breath he lets out, even if he’s being glared at as if he’s still lying. maybe he doesn’t want to dive into every little thing he’d done.
saving arthur’s life had been such a steady facet of his service, that he doesn't even know if he could remember all of it. especially here and now, when faced with the sudden reality, his mind feels blank, full of forgotten deeds. everything is up in the air from here on out, and it's all down to how arthur handles merlin having magic. but they can choose against destiny, that much merlin will make sure of.
and arthur had broken through his magic's hold like it was easy, such a curious thing that merlin couldn’t dare ask if arthur knew the magnitude of the act. but arthur looks at him, for a long time, with a weighted stare, like he was calculating merlin’s intentions along his betrayal of trust.
but merlin can't afford the time. “arthur, morgana is still out there and i am not leaving your side, no matter how you wish to punish me later.”
arthur doesn't bite the bait, and says, “someday...you’ll tell me, truly, what it is that you’ve done. until then, don’t expect this time spent as forgiveness, merlin.” but arthur sits then on the ground and rubs his hands by the fire, and keeps his eyes stern and heavy on the crackling flames. then he begins to argue that they need to return to camelot and merlin bickers that they shouldn’t travel in the night and should wait until sunrise. then, off-handedly, merlin suggests they should let morgana find them in the woods, far from the city and the battle, and take her down before anyone else has to die.
arthur looks at him again, “so you’re not an idiot. that was a lie too.”
merlin’s given everything he ever could to keep arthur alive, and if his soul has been tested and twisted from the things he’s done, then it’s a burden he’ll carry proudly. but what if arthur would never let him in again?
he hopes to have the chance to tell him, to weave the stories with time and compassion, a gentle hand and an expectant rage. arthur will find out his friend is a killer and a liar. but nothing is to come until morgana is gone once and for all. it could never be explained in one sentence, in one word, in the thing he can't admit is what his magic survives on daily. love.
“i’m still the same person,” he says. the same person that loves you, he thinks.

Hart and Hunter - Chapter 30 - Part 1
Tumblr media
*Warning Adult Content*
Julian Hart
"Gone?" Dane yells, his grasp on my arms tightens.
"Gone where?"
"I don't know," I say, wincing against the bruising pain of his grip.
"They were taking us to the standing stones."
"Who was taking you? Julian, where is my sister?" he asks, shaking me again, harder this time, as if he hopes he can rattle some coherent answers out of me.
Thankfully, Freya comes to my rescue.
"Hey, give him some space," she says, laying a restraining hand on Dane's shoulder.
"Let the man breathe. I'm sure he'll tell us everything as soon as he's able."
Dane's expression eases a little and he rubs my arms apologetically.
After spending so much time in his alternate form, he must still be thinking with his Wolf's mind... simple and direct... and lacking some human nuances.
I take a few rough gulps of air and cast Freya a thankful glance.
"There are other Fae here, a man and two women. Halloran's half-brother and cousins, apparently. They said they came to check on him and find out why he hadn't yet brought me home."
"Home?"
I wince, knowing this next part won't go over well.
"To Faerie. Halloran's father is a Fae king and he wants a 'leanan sidhe'. He sent Halloran here to... retrieve me."
"Fuck," Dane swears, his voice a low growl.
"I knew we shouldn't have trusted that guy."
"We didn't," I shoot back.
"I did and he risked his life to help me escape."
"And what about Ingrid?" Dane asks, turning his scowl on me.
"You just left her and saved yourself?"
A shock of electric ice goes through me at the cold accusation in his words and I scramble to my own defense.
"I had no choice. Darragh... the other Fae... threatened to kill Halloran or Ingrid if I didn't cooperate. Then Halloran attacked him and gave me the chance to get away. I was afraid if they caught me, Ingrid or Halloran would pay for it. Halloran may have paid for it already."
Dane shakes his head.
"If anything happens to her..."
"You'll never forgive me and I'll never forgive myself. You don't have to tell me, Dane."
He blinks as if just realizing where he is and who he's talking to and his expression shifts again towards apology but I cut him off before he can speak.
"What about her?" I ask, nodding towards my grandmother, who still stands in the shadows at the edge of the trees.
"What has she told you?"
"Who knows?" Dane says, turning to look.
"I don't understand Fae sign language."
"At least she's not running away," I murmur.
"Seems like she wants to help."
Moving away from Dane, I approach her.
"Rhiannon. Do you know who I am?"
She nods slowly and steps towards me, a sparkle of tears in her amethyst eyes.
She reaches a hand towards my face, as if she wants to touch me but withdraws it quickly.
"You still can't speak?" I ask.
She nods and makes a few swift, graceful gestures with her hands.
I shake my head.
"I'm sorry. I don't understand."
"I think it's a curse," Freya says, coming to stand at my side.
"I've seen something similar before, down in Louisiana. Different magic, same result. Some kinda silencing spell. Am I right?"
Rhiannon's eyes widen and she nods while making more rapid gestures in the air.
"Whoa, slow down," Freya says, raising her own hands.
"I don't understand any more than he does."
She nods at me.
"Can you write?"
The other woman shakes her head and makes a larger, slower gesture in the air... this time, one I recognize.
"Only in runes," I say, taking a guess.
Her gaze shifts to me and she nods eagerly.
"That tracks," says Freya.
"In the cases I've seen, it's almost as if the victims have had a 'magical stroke' like the curse affects the speech-processing parts of the brain. When they try to speak or write, it comes out all garbled but it seems like the runes bypass that... maybe they're more art than language."
"We can speculate later," Dane says gruffly.
"For now, we need to find Ingrid. Fuck..."
He bunches his hands in his hair and scowls as Rhiannon gestures unintelligibly.
"I wish Noah were here."
Freya frowns.
"Let's concentrate on what we do have. Maybe Rhiannon can't tell us the whole story but she can clearly show a 'yes' or 'no' and that's enough to get some answers."
She turns back to the Fae.
"You know the people who took our sister?"
Rhiannon nods, though confusion clouds her expression.
"Will they take her to Faerie?"
"Let's get to the standing stones," Dane says.
"Maybe we can still cut them off. If not, we'll go in after them. Can you open a doorway?" he asks, directing the question at Rhiannon.
She shakes her head while gesturing rapidly and backs away a few paces.
"Whatever. We'll figure it out when we get there. Freya... run ahead and get our clothes. We'll meet you at the car."
Freya nods and takes off into the trees, Shifting as she runs...a woman in one stride, a She-Wolf in the next and disappears.
Dane follows, remaining in human form but Rhiannon catches at my arm and holds me back, shaking her head.
"What is it?" I ask.
"You think they're not at the stones?"
She grimaces and shakes her head, gesturing incomprehensibly.
"Come with us," I say, reaching for her hand.
"We can talk on the way. Do you still have my Dad's book? Maybe you can teach me to read it and..."
Snatching her hand from my grasp, she backs away, beckoning for me to follow her.
"Julian, come on," Dane calls.
I glance over my shoulder and see Dane waiting for me.
When I turn back to Rhiannon, she's gone.

Forgotten Ties - Chapter 13 - Part 1
Tumblr media
*Warning Adult Content*
It was starting to get light by the time they made it to the clearing next to a stream that Nim had picked out for them.
"I know it's not anything special but the water's clear and the mountain on one side closes it in a bit," Nim said as he gently set the sleeping child he was carrying down on a blanket Marigold had laid out.
"We should try to get some rest first but we might be able to get a bit of a shelter started later today," Marigold said.
"And a fire and a rack to dry clothes after we wash them..."
Nim was a little selfishly glad he'd been so standoffish with the children until more recently because it was Marigold they turned their complaints and their tears to now.
She set about getting the ones who were already falling asleep settled down and then listened to the rest and gently guided them through taking care of their needs.
For some of them it was relieving themselves, washing in the stream or having a snack.
Others just needed to be held.
Despite how good Marigold was with the kids, Nim felt bad for her.
She was only fifteen herself but she had no space to have her own feelings or take care of her own needs.
Nim had been giving Skye space after that conversation they'd had about him not being in the mood to be touched but after Skye had spent a while hunched over, eating snacks out of his bag, he walked over to Nim and seemed determined to be in his personal space.
When Nim sat down, it became clear that Skye wanted to use him as a bed.
Well, that was fine.
Nim cleared away a spot on the ground, got a sweatshirt out of his bag to use as a pillow and lay down.
Skye immediately settled in, half draped across him.
There was something oddly comforting about it, especially after Skye started drifting off and stopped holding back his weight.
Nim could hear every breath Skye took and every beat of his heart, could smell his scent.
Last night had been the kind that changed a person but at least the humans hadn't taken anything from him.
Nothing that really mattered, anyway.
When Skye woke up, his head was pillowed on Nim's sweatshirt instead of Nim's nice, firm chest and that was unacceptable.
Skye rubbed his eye as he wandered over to Marigold to make his complaints but he didn't feel like talking so instead he just looked at her and frowned.
Marigold offered him a gentle smile.
"You slept a long time. It's well into the afternoon already."
"I'm a cat," Skye murmured around a yawn.
"Are you wondering where Nim is?"
"He's gone to scout around for anything we can use. He promised he'd be back before dark, though. He says there aren't any predatory animals or humans in the area but I still feel better when he's here. If something happened, what use would I be?"
"Yeah, that's true," Skye said.
"I'm hungry."
"We have some chips and cookies. Not very healthy, I know but they were the best I could do in terms of cheap, calorically dense foods. I told Nim to keep an eye out for edible fruits, though, so maybe we can have something a bit more balanced soon."
"Hmm," Skye said as she laid out the snacks for him.
He was pretty sure what they were going to have soon was starvation.
He had seen how many bags of groceries they carried in each week.
He could see how much stuff they had with them now and at least half of that wasn't food.
As someone who ate a lot and got hungry quickly, he was already worried.
"Can I help with... stuff?"
"I need leaves and long sticks to make things with. I've enlisted the help of the children but they're a bit distracted and I don't want them to leave my sight."
"Oh, I was just being nice but I actually can do that," Skye said.
"I climb trees, so I've seen a lot of sticks and leaves in my time."
"Good. Are you also good at not getting lost? If you follow the stream, you should be safe enough but I don't want you taking any risks."
"Nim would find me if I got lost but I won't anyway."
"You'd better not. Nim won't be happy if he comes back and I have to tell him I've lost you."
Skye shoved what was left of his snacks into his pockets.
"You won't. I will find you a good stick."
As Skye wandered down the bank of the stream, he felt some of the tension he'd been holding onto relax out of him.
Life had been hard recently.
Everyone would have agreed with that but he wasn't sure it was the same parts that were wearing on the others.
Working together in a group and thinking about others just wasn't in his nature.
It was a lot of work.
The rest, with the dead people and the soldiers and the tree battle, had also been stressful but not in the same way.
It was hard to even compare how he felt about them.
Obviously maybe almost getting genocide along with all of his friends was the worst thing but it wasn't the biggest driving force behind how fragile he was feeling.
It probably wasn't a good idea to tell anyone that, though.
People often didn't understand him and past experience had taught him that not feeling the same way as the rest of the group was frowned upon when it came to serious issues.
Skye bent down to pick up a stick and when he stood up straight again, he jolted in surprise.
A huge, black panther was watching him from the other side of the stream.
Skye stood frozen with his eyes locked on the panther for several long seconds but it didn't look like it was planning to eat him.
"Hello," Skye said.
The panther dipped its head in acknowledgement.
"I see. You're no ordinary panther," Skye said.
"Would you like to be my friend? I'm also a cat, you know."
The panther stared at him for another few seconds and then turned and walked away.
Skye leapt across the stream and ran after it.
"Wait. Look at my pointy cat teeth."
The panther turned and regarded him for a moment and then kept walking.
Skye jogged to catch up to it.
"Are you hiding from the humans as well? Obviously you're not a normal panther. Or... I guess maybe the humans would want to hunt you down even if you were? For zoo reasons?"
The panther kept walking.
"My name's Skye," Skye said.
"It's spelled with an 'E'. The 'E' goes at the end, not the beginning, though. Apparently that matters."

For Want of Common Sense
Chapter 8 Summary:
Wato leads the others back to Snark, all the while planning how to get the Duke to slip and reveal themselves.
Chapter 8: Getting to safety.
And just like promised, Wato found himself thoroughly questioned as he led them through safe passages. From how he had found them to the details of his deduction concerning the Quartering Duke, he answered everyone as much as he could. The only thing he refused to reveal, mostly because he was having too much fun with making them guess, was how he had snuck out.
Techie frowned, "Is that why we haven't come across any more of the SPXs?"
Wato shrugged "Maybe? I sent out the forced shut down about," He quickly checked the time, "4 hours ago."
" The girl demands to have a hint concerning the case of the escaped Incompetent Detective."
"The only people who could have used that way to escape are you and me." Wato paused a moment then added, "Maybe Posh but that's unlikely."
" 'That is not very helpful.' reproaches the girl with annoyance."
Wato and Mystic shared an amused look as Bookworm pouted.
-=-=-
"Why were you so sure that the black SPX wouldn't go after you?" Workaholic asked during a break.
"I wasn't sure of it at all." Wato smiled awkwardly, firmly ignoring how Seika had tensed up by his side. "It was a big machine, which meant it wouldn't be able to easily move through the forest. It likely had enough strength to cut down the trees, but that would take longer and make a lot of noise."
"Would you have returned to the manor if it had gone after you?" Gourmet asked, leaning forward.
Wato shook his head. "Not right away. I figured that if it went after me, then the noise would alert everyone, and you'd be able to use the opportunity to get out. I would have eventually made my way back once I started to get tired."
"And how is that having common sense?" Seika pointedly asked.
"I had a plan and a back up. I calculated the risks against the needs of the group, and figured out the best and safest way to do it." Wato replied with the same pointed tone.
-=-=-
They were near the hanger when Doleful hesitantly touched his shoulder. "Yes?" Wato slowed down to match Doleful's pace. "Do you need anything, Doleful?"
"Umm... I was just wondering... about the Quartering Duke. Do you know who they are?" Doleful asked carefully.
"I have my suspicions but nothing concrete yet. However, I do know about Invincible Detective." Wato caught Workaholic glancing over sharply. It was unlikely he had caught Doleful's question even if he had heard Wato's answer. He lowered his voice a bit. "The basement archives had a lot of files concerning the SP's experiments. I found a lot of interesting stuff in there while I was looking for the blueprints to the maze. Why do you ask?"
"Ah! You're so amazing, Incompetent! You managed to solve the Quartering Duke case! But.. Well... The truth is going to hurt a lot of people, right?" Doleful lowered his voice as he fiddled with his hands restlessly. "Right now, they're victims of a crime, pitied for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. But when everyone learns that it was all suicides then... That will change right?"
Wato didn't answer, just humming to say he was listening.
"And then there's Senior Detective and Downtown Detective." Doleful glanced over at the two. "What will happen to their family? Their friends? Especially Downtown, she's really popular and has a lot of friends. Once the news gets out that she helped people kill themselves, won't everyone turn on her friends?"
Wato stayed silent, knowing that Doleful was looking for a reaction but not giving it to him yet.
"The DA will have to explain about the Special Police, and what they did here. Even if they try to keep Workaholic Detective's name out of it, it.... it will come out eventually." Doleful paused, glancing around furtively then lowering his voice.  "His family will get mixed in... His daughter especially might end up in danger because of what he did within the SP." It was a slight, barely there, anxious shift in Doleful's tone that told Wato he had him.
With a kind smile, Wato reached out to clasp Doleful's shoulder. "You're very kind, aren't you Doleful?" That seemed to startle the young man, though whether it was his words or the touch was hard to determine. "And you are right. The next few years will be hard for everyone, maybe even harder on Workaholic and his family, yet it might not be."
"What?"
"Well, it's just common sense right?" Wato declared, fighting to keep his amusement out of his voice or body language. "You said it yourself, how information is presented affects how people will react to it. So yes, if all the DA does is state that the Duke's victims died from suicide then people aren't going to react all that well."
"But... What if it's presented in another light? The victims of the Quartering Duke were encouraged to commit suicide instead of being provided the help they needed? That changes things a lot." By now they had both stopped at the entrance of the hangar to talk.
"The same thing can be done to help Workaholic. Yes, he was part of the SP and took part in the experiments. However, if the fact that he helped dismantle the SP and has been working tirelessly since then to make amends is accentuated, then his story is no longer that of a villain but of a redeemed hero." Wato squeezed Doleful's shoulder gently as he finished. "It's all about perspective, and I'm sure the DA's public relations department can figure it out."
With that, Wato headed towards the rest of the group. It was up to Doleful now, though he was fairly certain of his reaction. Denouement hadn't shown him anything specific, just the steady image of everyone dying as it had since that first night, but he still hoped that they could end this nightmare without any more murder attempts. It was unlikely but still possible.
As they activated the helipad lift, Seika came to stand by him. "Well?" She asked softly. Wato nodded, glancing over to where Doleful was talking with Workaholic off to one side. He frowned at the sight, especially after what Doleful had just told him. He would have to go talk with Workaholic before they left, just to make sure the senior detective wasn't worrying too much. Seika elbowed him gently, "Don't worry about Workaholic. I already told him I'd take responsibility if people start asking questions about the SP."
He wasn't sure that would be enough but Seika knew Workaholic better than he did. "Alright." He glanced over at Mystic, whom Armor was half-supporting by now, before saying, "We should probably rest a bit before heading towards the boat if the rescue team isn't here yet."
"I've already told Gourmet and Rowdy to head towards the boat once we're above ground." Seika said with a smile before raising her voice to draw everyone's attention. "We'll head over to Snark and wait inside until we get news about the rescue team. Armor, please help Mystic."
"Leave it to me, Lady Ideal Detective! I shall see him to safety post-haste." Armor declared with his usual energy.
"Thank you, Armor. Gourmet, Rowdy, be careful on your way to the boat. Since Incompetent Detective has already called for help, there is no need for us to take any risk. Is that clear?"
"We will ~" Gourmet hummed as she looked at the approaching surface.
Rowdy was shifting her weight from one foot to the other, obviously gearing up for a fight. "Don't ya worry, Ideal! We're goin' ta be right back before ya know it."
As they got close enough to see the surface, Gourmet suddenly shouted. "Wait! There's something metallic up there!"
"Oy, oy! Is it that black SPX bastard?" Rowdy moved towards the front of the group, Armor only a moment behind after having handed Mystic to Posh, who was the closest.
"It's fine." Wato said quickly. "I shut down all the SPX this morning so it shouldn't be active"
"Then why is it here?" Doleful asked.
"I think the shut down order has them returning to their charging station." He explained. "It must be in one of the underground tunnels since the SPX wasn't close to Snark when we arrived a few days ago, right?" He glanced over at Bookworm, who quickly nodded a confirmation.
Armor, Gourmet, and Rowdy didn't let down their guard as the lift came to a stop. The black SPX stood motionless near the edge of the helipad lift, not reacting to any of them. Rowdy tilted her head to one side at this then walked over to knock on it. "Well, would ya look at that? Seem' like it's off after al'."
Reassured that the SPX wouldn't attack them, they wasted no more time to head towards Snark. Now, it was a matter of waiting. Either for the Duke to act or the rescue team to show up, and Wato had a feeling he knew which would happen first.
A/N: Wato and Seika are working together quite well against Doleful. But will that be enough? ;)

"Oh my.." Namjoon gasps as he lifts some of the dirty blankets inside what's left of the wreckage they've found- checking for anything else after having buried the others.
It's an omega- clearly so, he thinks to himself as he see's the bruises on your skin, dirt covering you from the dust and scrap falling onto you. "They never stand a chance, do they?" Namjoon sighs, as Jungkook squats down, shaking his head a little.
"They all become too reckless these days. Poor thing." He says, before he reaches over to at least get you out of the broken wood and dirt- when he notices that you're not as cold as the rest of your pack. "Namjoon." He says suddenly, eyes becoming serious as he gets closer, inspecting you a bit more thorough. A hand on your neck gives him the final answer. "She's still alive." He says, and it makes Hoseok who stands close perk up.
"I'll make space in the carriage for her. Jimin! Come help me!" The beta shouts, the other one quickly complying as they climb inside, preparing a spot for you to rest until they'd reach fresh water, informing the rest of the pack of what's happened. "Careful.." He muses, as Jungkook carries you over, giving you into Hoseoks awaiting arms before you're finally safe inside. He remembers your face from the last time they'd ran into your pack a year ago. Back then they'd warned them about listening to the Residents, to remember that they're not the same, and that there's a reason Nomads live the way they do- but they didn't want to listen, it seemed. Maybe it had been Lupus' cruel way of evening out the odds- finally granting them an omega of their own.
Maybe their journey had finally been blessed.
"Lets go." Namjoon says, everyone finally gathering to continue your way- this time however, taking a different route to find fresh water and a place for the night, sun already slowly descending. Jimin in the back already makes sure you're as comfortable as can be, a worried Jin checking for any major injuries or reasons to be very concerned.
"I think she just passed out from exhaustion." He explains after a moment. "She's just very weak right now. I believe they might've faced a drought before they were attacked." He hums out.
"That explains why they were such an easy target." Yoongi mumbles from the side, sitting across from you as he watches with a serious expression.
"Probably." Jin sighs out, as you slowly open your eyes, unfamiliar environment making you instantly nervous as Jin tries to keep you laid down. "It's okay, you're fine." He says, and you stay where you are- primarily so, because you don't want to agitate anyone.
"Is she awake?" Namjoon asks from the front, before Jungkook peeks into the back, eyes finding your scared one's. Not wanting to make you uncomfortable, he turns his back again, nodding towards Namjoon. "I was scared she might be too far gone." He mumbles out, a small river finally coming into view as he maneuvers the carriage into some bushes and trees for coverage.
"Maybe we've been blessed." Jungkook mumbles, before he jumps off.
Yes. Maybe they were.
----
A few days later, you've become more at ease with them.
Jin had finally deemed you ready to travel again, the carriage finally moving again while you look outside from the back. They're all a lot more peaceful; you haven't heard them fight amongst each other once ever since they picked you up. Everyone had their own job- while you still struggled to find your own.
"Do you know how to gut fish?" Jimin asks you as he watches you from his spot in the back, amused by the way Jungkook sits close to you- eyes watching over you like a hawk as if you're in danger of tumbling out the moving vehicle any second. Namjoon had noticed your favoritism to the alpha as well- he was the least intimidating to you out of the group, you've decided. And while you didn't talk much, he always tried his best to include you in conversations. You look over to Jimin, before you nod.
"That's great!" Hoseok beams at Seokjin, before he looks at you. "We'll be riding past a large riverbed soon- Namjoon!" He says, before he dissapears to talk to the lead alpha about his plans.
"We don't have to stop because of me." You say softly, and Jungkooks voice chimes up instantly from his side, arm reaching out to adjust the blanket over your shoulders.
"It's okay." He says. "Namjoon wouldn't make us stop if not for good reason. Hoseok just got a little too excited." He explains, and you nod, before you scoot back inside, making Jungkook visibly relax as you crawl between the furs they'll use for trading soon at the next Resident camp.
"Namjoon said we're too close to the next camp to stop now." Hoseok informs, as he sits down. "Can't be helped, I guess." He shrugs, before he lays down close to Jimin.
"I'm not very good at remembering paths." You say, before you turn towards Jungkook. "I hope that's not too much of a burden." You say- but everyone just smiles.
Seems like you've found your place, at last.
----
"Come." Jungkook simply says, holding out his arms before they help you jump down the back of the carriage. The Resident camp is bustling with life; people working, children running around, and the smell of food is in the air, while Jungkook leads you towards a small what seemed to be stall for jewlery and clothing. "We need to choose your gift." He explains, as you nod, before he speaks again. "And some clothes. We can't have you freeze." He says, as you're about to complain. "Don't even start." He playfully glares, as you simply nod, albeit reluctantly.
You can spot Namjoon with Yoongi standing close to what you assume are Resident leaders- probably discussing the trade. He seems like he fits right in; a picture-book lead alpha; determined, but not too confident either. Yoongi's eyes meet yours for a second before you're pulled a little by Jungkook- the younger alpha having spotted something of interest, it seems. "How about this?" He asks, pointing at a piece of jewlery hanging on the wall of a small sale stand. "You don't seem to have any jewlery on you, omega." He says, and you nod.
"My past pack didn't care much about offerings or traditions." You explain. "They believed in the Resident ways- trying to find a place to set up a new camp." You tell him, as Jungkook nods, carefully pushing you a bit out the way when a man walks through, seemingly eager to get to wherever he needs to be.
"And you?" He hums out, questioning as he browses different things, not looking at you as to not pressure an answer out.
"I've been raised to believe in Lupus' ways." You say. "And I still do, even though I've been told not to hold onto it." You mumble out, and Jungkook smiles at you from the side, looking at the store lady.
"Good." He tells you, before he looks over at the woman. "I'd like to make a purchase, please."
----
"He chose well." Yoongi comments from the side, as he spots the dangling ear piercing you now carry. "It looks nice." He says, before he goes back to eating.
You simply smile to yourself, happiness still fueling your veins with excitement over it. You've never been gifted an offering before, and to finally own one makes you feel like you finally are a true part of the pack. It's a little odd, considering you've just met merely a handful of days before- but the connection you're starting to feel towards them as a pack couldn't ever be compared to what you lived like in the past.
You tiredly lean against Jungkook next to you, closing your eyes at Jimin's gentle humming from the side, voice softly lulling you to sleep it seems, while the pack simply smiles at the sight. "I've picked up some medication." Jin says after a moment. "She might be up and walking, but just in case. She's not yet fully healed." He explains, and everyone seems to agree. "I also noticed you coming down with something as well." He says with a glance towards Jimin, who sheepishly shrugs his shoulders.
"Its going towards winter." Namjoon simply says. "He always gets sick a bit prior to snowfall." He reminds everyone, as Hoseok stuffs the last bites into his mouth.
"Better now than later." He says, coughing a bit which makes Yoongi hit his back- partially to help, and partially to scold. "When the snow falls again it'll be harder to get around as quick as we do now." He says, after having recovered.
"We'll be fine." Namjoon reassures the pack. "We're blessed now, after all." He says, as Jungkook smiles, looking down at you sleeping next to him.
----
Jungkook sighs out as the last body had been buried- the five Graves now finished, while you bring flowers and small offerings. He's quiet as you lay them out carefully, more occupied on being respectful and keeping his thoughts clear as to not interrupt their final passing.
But after a few moments of the pack gathering and praying, he lets himself calm down again; a gentle hand on your back enough to gain your attention. You couldn't stay forever; after all, it was bad luck to sleep near the dead- and the goal wasn't that far ahead anymore either.
"If we keep our pace now we might make it before sundown." Namjoon says, as he watches Jungkook help you back onto the cart, your strength still not up to what it should be. He's worried about it; it's getting colder after all, first snow only a breath away it seems.
He hopes that all those problems- Jimin's condition and yours combined together with the lowering temperatures, won't be as much of a danger to his pack as he fears it might become. He can't afford to leave anyone behind, especially no omega. Their journey as a pack would be over without Lupus' blessing.
"We'll be fine." Hoseok says from his spot next to Namjoon in the front, holding the rains of the horse tightly. "Dont worry." He says, and the alpha is unsure if he says it to himself, or not.
But as he looks into the back of the carriage, Jungkook making sure that you're warm underneath some furs while Taehyung keeps an eye on Jimin who smiles back encouragingly once he notices the alphas look, he can't help but believe it, even if it's just wishful thinking.
He wants to believe they'll be fine.
----
It's easy to see why some believe the great End had been more of a blessing than a curse to the earth.
Deer and wild boar cross your ways no matter where you go- even the old cities and streets full of animals and vegetation. With the way the buildings slowly tilt every year, green life growing on every corner seemingly putting old memories to rest underneath, it almost looks as if nature was simply reclaiming what had belonged to it in the first place.
Mankind had simply been allowed to start again, so to say.
For Nomads, it had always been considered bad luck to ask about anything before the great End- most even believing that the current year was all that counted.
And in a way, you understood them- having been raised with the same believes as well after all. And while you'd never open any of those books the Residents teach their children with, you couldn't deny that there was a tempting charm about learning how humanity lived before.
But your thoughts quickly disappeared as Jimin holds one half of a fruit towards you; stone inside already removed.
----
Jungkook mentions it for the first time after everyone's gone to sleep- leaving only the two of you awake at the small fire outside the carriage. "Do you see me.." He starts, before he moves around a bit, visibly nervous before he continues. "..do you see me as a potential partner?" He asks you, eyes fixed on the fire in front of him, honey-colored gaze unable to lift to look at your reaction it seems.
If he's saying it like that- it meant that he was serious about his own emotions towards you already, considering that he'd have to have spoken to the rest of the pack about this topic prior to talking to you about it. You certainly knew your own feelings for sure; he was a capable person, not hesitant in asking for help if he needed it in any way. He didn't shy away from problems either- his stubborn attitude balancing everyone else out, keeping them on moving forwards instead of staying in one spot for too long. It also didn't hurt that he was.. physically very attractive, rather tall for Nomad standards, although Namjoon still stood a good chunk higher than him. It cam with the position, you assumed. Lupus never decides without reason, after all.
So you simply scoot a bit closer to him, suddenly craving his presence closer to you as you simply laid your head against his shoulder like you've done so often in the past. "I don't see you as a potential partner." You eventually say, and he's a bit bitter about it- but appreciates the soft rejection, having been worried about making things complicated down the line for both of you- and admittedly the rest of the pack as well. But as your hand reaches out to rest over his larger one, his heart begins to stop at your next words.
"I see you as the only one I'd consider giving my heart to."

Being a big brother when you've never been a big brother (800 follower special)
Tumblr media
Synopsis: In which Levi's been dating you for a year and a half and gets the news that Kuchel is pregnant.
Introduction: In this Kuchel is 43. She had Levi as a teenager (17). Female reader and Levi haven't talked a lot about having babies yet. You two live together but haven't discussed it fully but you have told Levi you'd be open to the idea of having children while he was slightly on the fence.
• To say Levi is shocked is a monumentous understatement.
• When he gets the news that his mother was pregnant with his step father's baby he gets quiet.
• Doesn't say much.
• Well what would he say honestly?
• You on the other hand are spewing out baby names and bouncing in your seat while asking his mother about her plans for colors in the nursery.
• It's not surprising that he's distant. He's 26 and he just found out he's gonna be a big brother. He knows next to nothing about children as it is.
• Though eventually he warms to the idea and by warms I mean he becomes as helpful as possible in aiding his pregnant mother around. Buys her anything she wants/needs and goes on all the trips to buy clothes, toys etc for the baby's arrival.
• Even though he's still pretty quiet on his feelings about the whole situation.
"Babe?" You call to him one night as you're both getting ready for bed. He turns his head slightly to look at you. "Are you ok? I know this might take a lot more getting used to."
He sighs placing his tie on the dresser. "How would you feel?"
It's not said maliciously just curiously. Grey eyes fully scoping the lines of your face. "How would I-" You start and then stop, eyebrows raised and cheeks puffed. "Well.. I know you probably don't need to hear awkward."
He blinks turning his attention back to the mirror. "No! I'm sorry, Levi!" You gestured out to him with both hands and he sighs, walking over to you with light thumps on the carpet.
You laid back in bed and he slowly pulled himself over you. His hands on either sides of your shoulders, legs spread on either side of yours and head resting delicately on your chest. "It's gonna be ok. Look the first year of that kid's life is just them needing love and a bottle to suckle. Worry about the first year once they're born and everything else will fall perfectly into place."
Levi snorted against your skin, fingers lightly stroking the arms of your tee shirt. "Perfectly.."
"You know what I mean." You reply, pressing the smallest kiss against the top of his head. "I'll be by your side the entire time."
The only reply you get is a soft exhale. Levi's heart beat softly evens out and with your fingers curling through his gorgeous black hair he slowly falls asleep.
Finding out the baby's gender:
• When Levi finds out he's having a little brother he feels.. pretty much the same though apart of him is kinda sighing in relief at knowing he won't have to protect a little girl from nasty boys.
• You on the other hand are beaming, "Levi, you're gonna have a little brother! Isn't that great. Kuchel were you hoping for another little boy?"
• Kuchel smiles, "I wasn't too concerned with the gender just as long as they were healthy." She admitted "But I wouldn't have minded a girl, just to see what parenting the opposite gender would be like."
• Somehow the conversation of Levi's future baby brother turned into a conversation about you and Levi's possible future child and what you'd want your first kid to be.
• Levi didn't stay long when that started, promptly excusing himself and you found out almost three hours later that he'd taken a walk and ended up at home.
"Levi?" When you walked into your shared house he was laying on the couch with an arm over his face.
He slowly laid his arm out flat next to his body and you walked over to him cupping the hand closest to you.
"I was going to come back but.."
"You didn't?" You gave him a small smile running a finger over his cheek. He went quiet, eyes falling shut.
"Don't.." He sighs, eyebrows twitching on his forehead. "Don't start that thing you do.. you know when you worry about people.."
You scoff, "Well I am worried about you, I've never seen you look like this before."
His eyelids flutter open slightly, grey eyes flashing over to you through the slits. "You've thought about our future kid a lot?"
You blink, mouth hanging open, "I- well I.. wasn't ok I was it was just for Kuchel." You tried to laugh.
Levi's eyebrow raised, "No, you didn't tell me how much you really thought about it beyond our past conversations. You've thought about it more than you admitted so you might as well stop pretending."
He sits up on the couch, hands dangling between his spread legs. "Ok fine you win." You admit with a huff. "But with Kuchel and the baby and the baby shower and all it definitely wasn't the right time to revisit this conversation. I just couldn't help it."
His fingers come up to rest in your hair carding away any loose strands where they are on your face. "Looks like we have to discuss it again." He says
A couple weeks after the baby's actual birth:
• You and Levi had come over only a couple days after the birth of the youngest Ackerman.
• "I named him Chance." Kuchel had remarked, her eyes filled with light as she held one of the smallest things Levi had ever laid eyes on.
• "Chance?" You replied, slowly transferring the baby from her arms to yours.
• "Because he was a Chance baby. It was honestly a little worrisome having him since I'm getting up there you know. More of a risk." She laughed it off.
• You looked to her with a small smile. "He's gorgeous." Your smile only getting brighter as you held the small person in your arms. Watching as he softly sucked his pacifier.
• "Just like his big brother." You added, smirking in Levi's direction.
• "Tch." Was the only thing he could muster as he stared in any direction other than the one where his girlfriend was now holding his newborn brother.
• "Levi, don't you wanna hold him?" Kuchel asked her smile never fading.
• Now he felt himself look up. He looked first at Chance and then to you holding him so tight.
• "Come here." You whispered and like a startled deer Levi slowly surveyed the situation a little more before he was coming closer.
• He inched his way down right in front of you and Kuchel, plopping down on the coffee table. Eyes locked on Chance's currently closed eyelids.
• "Not yet right?" You said to him
• He looked up at you then back to baby Chance.
• "Yeah.. not yet." You confirmed
☆☆☆☆
• You'd been right about one thing all Chance needed was love and a bottle to suckle..
• It just for whatever reason wasn't allowed to come from Levi.
• He'd hold Chance, he'd cry.
• Kuchel would hand him his sleeping brother while she got his dinner ready. He'd wake up and scream bloody murder.
• And at this point Chance had successfully: Peed on, spit on and thrown up on Levi.
• And all with the same blissfully smug expression.
"Don't get discouraged, Levi." Kuchel said soothingly "He's just not comfortable with you yet." She explained as she rocked Chance in her arms.
"You did talk to him the least while Kuchel was pregnant. Maybe it has something to do with that?" You tried with a shrug.
"All I know is I'm sick of being covered in his different bodily fluids." Levi huffed
"Awwww. Barely a year old and the brothers are fighting already." You giggled, Kuchel quickly joining in on your laughter.
Levi just rolled his eyes. He felt a little pang in his chest as he looked at his sleeping brother. No one else got nearly as much shit from this kid as he did. But it couldn't possibly be a personal attack the kid was less than one year old what could he possibly know about fights with his brother?
You and Levi take one year old Chance to the park:
• It was comfort weather.
• The perfect kind of weather to take Chance to the park on a crisp Saturday when you both were off from work.
• And a part of Levi was sort of glad for this opportunity.
• Kuchel and his step dad had gone out for pizza and here he was with you and his brother.
• It was surprising to Levi how lively Chance was: trying to push the hood of his stroller up and messing with the buckle strapping him in.
• Felt like just yesterday he couldn't hold his own head up.
• "Alright Chance. Come here." You giggled, gently pulling him out of the stroller with Levi's help.
• You guys had a little set up going in the shade under a tree. Blanket, Chance's toys and his sippy cup all sprawled over the space.
• You handed Levi a red donut shaped toy and told him, "Hold it out for Chance, he loves this game."
• "Chance look." You said as Levi held the toy up to a distracted Chance.
• Unsurprisingly the first thing he did was cry.
• "Here let me try." You offered, pulling the toy from Levi's grasp.
• The second you took the toy and held it in front of Chance his smile practically touched his ears and he leaned forward trying to grab it with his hands and then his mouth.
"You're doing great." You praised, pulling Chance onto his legs.
Levi just sighed, "Anything else?"
You pointed to the ball with one finger, still bouncing Chance. "He loves that squeaky thing."
Levi looked in the direction of the small toy, yanking it up off the blanket. He held it up giving it a little squeeze in front of Chance. It drew his attention surprisingly fast and he watched Levi's hand as he squeezed it again.
He was so weirdly enamored by such a normal item it was honestly really cute. A warmth spread through Levi's chest as you smiled at him in his peripherals.
"You want this?" Levi asked, holding it out for Chance.
Your smile stretched over your face as Chance reached for it. Little legs working to get him closer to the ball in Levi's grasp.
"That's it." You cheered softly. "Good job."
It wasn't clear who the compliment was directed towards but Levi was too distracted by Chance's little hands trying desperately to pull the object from his grasp. You still had your hands around Chance to support him as he finally grabbed the ball at a weird angle. The object immediately meeting his mouth.
"Yay, you got it." You said, bouncing Chance lightly. "See now you guys are-"
Chance turned in your grasp, the ball plopping onto the grass with an almost inaudible thud. Unfortunately Levi didn't account for Chance to bend over at the same time as him trying to pick up the ball and his nail came down on Chance's forehead. Not hard enough to leave a mark but hard enough for Chance to scream at the top of his lungs as if he'd been stabbed instead.
"Wait no!" You gasped, picking up the ball.
"Shit." Levi sucked his teeth.
"Levi!"
Luckily Chance probably didn't hear either of that thanks to his loud screaming. You tried to give him back the ball only to have it smacked from your grasp. The tiny object tumbling down the hill as you tried and failed to coax Chance down.
Thankfully Levi reacted fast grabbing it before it could roll too far away.
"Is he alright?" Levi tried as you rocked him back and forth.
You giggled, "Yeah, he's a drama queen you know that." It didn't seem to really help though. Levi's features scrunched and his shoulders unnaturally hunched. "Let's take him for a little walk, maybe then he'll calm down."
☆☆☆☆
It took around thirty minutes of walking and rolling Chance's stroller through the once quiet park for him to finally tucker himself out.
Levi huffed as you and him plopped down on the nearest park bench. You rifled through the bag pushing the hood of Chance's stroller up before placing his blue bucket hat on his head. Which perfectly matched his blue overalls and blue socks.
"Sorry." You finally heard him mutter as you pushed pretty brown locks out of Chance's eyes.
"It's not your fault." You replied "I promise Chance is just being himself he probably would've cried that hard if I or anyone else had scratched him too."
Levi said nothing. Just watched as you pushed the brim of the hat up. With a little click you fastened it to the front of his hat. Chance's soft features in full view. The little froggy on his green shirt moving with every breath he took. But Levi could only watch.
"Hey, look here." Your cheeks were puffed out as you yanked Levi's face toward yours. "He's gonna warm to you." You said with softened features. "You're doing such a good job." You praise.
The edges of Levi's eyebrows slowly relax and he lets his chest flow with air like he hadn't done since he made Chance scream earlier. The corners of his lips lift a little and he sits back as you push the stroller back and forth with one arm.
Before he can even think about it he spills the awe flowing in his eyes, "You'd make a great mom."
When you smile at him it makes his heart sink. You slowly turn your attention back to a sleeping Chance and he moves in a little closer.
"If there's.. some future where I actually have a child. I want you to carry my babies."
Your eyes are blown a bit, mouth agape as you look back at him. "Levi.." You start but are immediately cut off by a soft aww from two passing women.
"He's adorable." One says, staring into the open stroller.
"You guys are the cutest parents." Says the other.
"O-oh.. I.. we're actually just babysitting him." You struggle
"Still he's cute." Says women number two bending down to have the same view as her friend.
"Thank you." You practically choke. Eventually they leave and you run a shaky hand through your surprisingly sweaty hair.
"Levi." You start before he can get the chance. "I want you to be sure. Ok, I mean we went from Chance being a drama queen to you saying you want me to have your kids?"
"I didn't mean to say it here." Levi admitted "I did mean it though. You weren't the only one thinking while Kuchel was pregnant."
You give him a little kiss on the nose, brushing your finger over the tip of his ear. "It would be a huge step. We're not even married."
Levi nods, "Someday.."
"Someday."
Family beach day? Family beach day:
• Mikasa had come cause this was her first time getting to meet Chance.
• There were lots of firsts actually. It was also Chance's first time on the beach.
• Chance instantly loved Mikasa the second she held him.
• Soft laughter and a bright smile flooding his face.
• Kuchel and Levi both spent as much time as possible under the beach umbrella.
• You spread sunscreen on Chance's body while Mikasa distracted him by showing him how to make a sandcastle.
• Cue you also trying to get some pictures for Kuchel to hang on the family wall she had back home only for Chance to turn away every time.
• Which he genuinely thought was the most hilarious thing ever.
• And in all the time you'd known Mikasa you'd never seen her smile so much.
• "Is it.. possible it's Chance?" You asked while Chance threw any and all the sand that could fit in his tiny fists.
• She just playfully rolled her eyes, handing Chance the shovel. Which he didn't know what to do with so he just resorted to shaking it around till it flew from his grasp.
• "That's such an Ackerman response." You chirped reaching for the discarded shovel.
• You were more than a little surprised when Levi's uncle Kenny showed up. Slamming the door of his kidnapper van closed.
• "Woah Kenny came?" You asked Levi as you sat on the edge of his beach chair.
• You, Mikasa and Chance had all decided to take a break from shell collecting to come up and eat lunch.
• Kuchel laughed at your surprise. "He hasn't met Chance yet." She explained
• "Ahh." You replied
• Chance seemed.. confused by Kenny.
• His only response to Kenny holding him being a blank stare.
• Kenny didn't seem to notice though as he yapped on about the time he accidentally put Levi in the washing machine.
• "You what?" Kuchel gasped
• "It wasn't on!" Kenny explained
• "If me and Levi aren't free to babysit please try Mikasa." You whispered to her.
• Chance spent most of his time after that resting in Mikasa's lap while she rubbed his back and hair.
• Cue Kuchel trying to get Levi to help her put a fussy Chance down for a small nap a couple hours later.
• Which unsurprisingly made Chance more fussy.
• Though the second Levi left, Chance drifted off on the towel in their tent.
• Mikasa made Chance a seashell crown 🥺
• It was a little big so it slipped off his head when he turned a certain way but he laughed whenever she'd place it back on his head.
• Mikasa had been a little on the fence about it but you had basically insisted on getting Levi to take Chance to the water.
• Unsurprisingly Mikasa wasn't the only one on the fence.
"He's having fun with you and Mikasa so you should be the ones that take him down there." Levi argued
"Oh come on Levi! It'll be fun."
Mikasa bounced a calm Chance in her arms as he played with the seashell crown she'd made for him. "He hasn't been with his big brother all day because you've been sitting here reading a book." Mikasa tried but it was only successful in getting Levi to suck his teeth.
"You know I don't wanna go anywhere near the water Y/N." He replied
Finally you got bored and peeled the book from Levi's grasp a cold stare greeting you when he looked up. "You can just go into the water for five minutes with Chance, please! Just so I can take a few pictures and he can get a feel of the water and then you can give him back to me and Mikasa and return to your book."
You could see the gears working in Levi's head as he looked over at a happy looking Chance. His red striped shirt covered in sand which Mikasa was happily dusting off. You already knew exactly what he was thinking but you didn't actually have to say anything because he was slowly rising from his chair:
"Mikasa give Chance to Levi." You said, holding your camera out as Levi reached for a distracted Chance.
Mikasa's arm came up to Chance's back, "Shouldn't I carry him to the water?" She tried
You tilted your head, "Mikasa.."
She finally relinquished Chance, handing him over as if she were fearful Levi would drop him. Levi looked down at the small boy in his arms mildly comforted in the fact that he didn't immediately cry, scream or pee on him.
"Come on guys let's get to the water." You called beckoning to them.
"I'm fine to carry him, I've done it before." Levi assured her as Chance looked behind him towards where they were headed.
"I'm not really worried about you." Mikasa replied, looking down at Chance who was now kicking his legs against Levi's sides.
When you'd all arrived near the water Chance was in awe. His bright grey eyes practically blown and his mouth hung open. He nearly dropped the seashell crown in his arms. Luckily Mikasa scooped it up before it fell.
"Look at this Chance." You cooed gesturing to the water. "Isn't it beautiful?"
Chance responded with glee reaching his arms out toward the huge body of water. He bounced up and down, hands out as he grasped onto nothing.
"He loves it!" You chuckled, carding your fingers through his gorgeous brown hair.
"Armin's gonna love him." Mikasa said, rubbing Chance's belly.
"Ok, quick get him over here while the water is calm." You gestured to the flowing sea and Levi placed him down, holding his waist awkwardly.
You lowered the camera in your grasp, "Come on big brother sit with him, make it look like you're really having fun at the beach with him." You gestured and Levi begrudgingly sat.
He looked back over to you and you gestured again to the water coaxing Levi into splashing water on Chance who was currently staring out over the huge body of water in delight.
Unlike Chance who was actually wearing water shorts Levi was not. He'd come to the beach in cargo shorts because he hadn't planned on sitting on anything but a beach chair or a towel. So now that he was wading uncomfortably in barely ankle deep water his shorts probably looked like he'd pissed or shit himself.
Though he still followed your advice, flicking a tiny bit of water in Chance's direction. It worked surprisingly well because Chance's attention immediately caught on to Levi sitting in front of him.
"Good job baby." You cooed as you snapped picture after picture. Meanwhile Mikasa crossed her arms as if she were waiting for Levi to mess up so she could jump in.
Chance's lips curved up slow and before Levi or anyone could react he lifted his legs slamming them down hard. Water flying all over Levi in the process. It made Chance guffaw and he did it again this time with his hands forcing Levi to shield his eyes from the assault.
"Chance stop it that's not nice." You called but Chance continued smacking and splashing every bit of sea water that flowed between his legs onto Levi.
And for someone who'd never played with water he was way too good at understanding how to get the most water with each scoop. Drenching Levi until Mikasa stepped in to stop it.
"Chance, that's not funny." She said, her features cold. "If you can't play nice in the water, you can't play in the water.
That seemed to strike a cord in him. His breath hitching as tears flowed down his little cheeks. He clung to Mikasa and sobbed until she reached up to rub his back.
"Are you ok?" You asked Levi as he spit ocean water. His hair clinging to his face.
"I just wanna take a shower." He admitted, though his jaw was locked as he spoke.
His hoodie was drenched and his shorts had turned dark brown all over. He walked a little bit faster than you and Mikasa as you both made it back to Kuchel and Kenny.
"Oh God what happened?" Kuchel asked immediately grabbing a towel while Kenny laughed.
"Chance happened." You answered for Levi as he dried his head first stripping his wet hoodie off to reveal his bare chest.
Kuchel looked to Chance who was now innocently sucking his thumb, his head laid on Mikasa's chest.
"I guess his first time in the water was interesting." She sighed
"I got some good pictures before things hit the fan. I'll send them to you." You said, showing her the first couple pictures you had pulled up of Levi and Chance sitting in the ocean together.
"Thank you so much Y/N."
Chance's first words:
• Chance had said his first words when he was 6 almost 7 months old.
• And barely anything else since.
• He really was an Ackerman.
• Every now and then he'd say little things: Ball, Mashed Potatoes (cause they're his favorite food) And TV.
• And of course names which he was pretty good at.
• But the only name he refused to say was Levi.
"Alright Chance you remember your big brother's name right?" Kuchel asked, Chance looked up from his block fort. Kuchel pointed to Levi who was calmly drinking tea and surveying the scene. "Levi." She said
Chance blinked then went back to his block fort. "He has to say it eventually right?" You asked Kuchel as you handed Chance another block.
"He's being stubborn and yes he has to." She replied squeezing Chance's waist.
Chance's eyes rolled to the sky as he placed the block you'd given him next to the tower of blocks that he'd already built.
"When did he learn that?" You huffed in surprise.
"Same time he learned the s-word probably." Kuchel sighed when you gasped she laughed a little. "Stupid." She explained still laughing.
"Oh! Oh."
The two of you continued to laugh as Chance rearranged the tower he'd built knocking it over in the process.
"Chance I believe a smart two year old like you can say a name like Levi I mean you got Mikasa down." You say
"He calls her Mika actually." Kuchel replied
You hum and Chance puffs, "Don't wanna."
He finally gets the block tower to look at least slightly how he wanted it seemingly. He slowly leans back like he's trying to get a better view.
"That's amazing Chance." Kuchel applauds with a soft gasp.
"Good job sweetie." You chime in
"It's not bad." Levi says to which Chance is rolling his eyes again.
"What are you gonna call it?" You ask hoping it'll cut the tension you can feel growing.
Chance peers at it then opens his mouth but before he can say anything he looks at Levi who's staring back. And slowly but surely that slow moving grin works its way onto his features.
"Stupid Levi!" He exclaims with a laugh before taking a block and smashing the whole thing in.
"Chance!" Kuchel huffs
"That's one stubborn kid.." You say with a sigh as Kuchel takes Chance to the punishment chair.
Emergency in babysitting (in which Levi gets high but Kuchel needs to drop off Chance because she has an emergency to take care of.):
{This is based off some headcanons I read for Levi when he's high. If I ever manage to find the post again I'll link it here.}
• You'd forgotten how clingy Levi got when he was high.
• He hummed into the fat of your waist as you sat still trying to watch TV on low volume.
• His leg shaking a little every couple minutes.
• Your fingers slowly carding through his head as his eyes stayed shut tight.
• At some point the doorbell rang and you tried to pull yourself out of Levi's grasp thinking he was sleeping.
• "Where are you going?" He almost whined, pulling himself up on his knees and crawling to you.
• "The doorbell baby. I promise I'm coming back." You said giving him a small kiss on the cheek.
• "W- OK.. I'll wait here." He sat on the edge of the bed, kicking his legs a little.
• You can't help how hard you smile, "I'll be back, I promise."
• The second you open the door you're bombarded with words and Levi's step-dad holding his nose.
• "Oh God what happened?" You asked
• "I need someone to watch Chance for a couple hours while we go to the hospital. He fell on one of Chance's toys while he was carrying some boxes and.." She gestured absently, handing Chance over
• "Sure, no problem." You replied "Hope you feel better." You said to Levi's step-dad.
• Kuchel quickly handed you a bag of Chance's stuff before hurrying off with Levi's step-dad.
• You shut the door with a sigh just as Levi came down the stairs, "You said you'd be back." He huffed
• "I'm sorry, listen your step-dad is going to the hospital so we have Chance for the night." You explained
• You honestly couldn't tell what Levi or Chance's faces meant but both boys seemed to be in silent agreement.
• "Are you hungry Chance?" You asked as he sucked his thumb laying his head on your chest.
• "Mashed Potatoes." He nodded
• "Yeah? OK let me get you some."
Levi followed you into the kitchen and watched you as you placed Chance in the high chair you guys had for when he visited.
"I know, you want to sleep off your high baby just give me a few minutes to get Chance fed and asleep." You offered
Levi nodded but he stayed by your side as you grabbed the box with mashed potato mix in it and got to work putting it in a pot with some water and butter.
"You don't want anything else babes? Just mashed potatoes?" You called to the small boy kicking his legs behind you.
He nodded, "mashed potatoes." He repeated with a kick of his legs.
You managed somehow to get the food cooking while Levi clung to you like a puppy. His gaze soft whenever you met his eyes. His hands in your shorts pockets and arms coming up to meet your waist.
"You know Chance, mashed potatoes are more of a side." You explained
Chance shook his head, he glanced over at Levi who was still holding onto you like he was worried you'd fly away or something. Which immediately sparked tears, he shoved at the tray in front of him screaming your name and reaching out for you.
"Ok, ok please don't cry Chance!" You shouted over his crying when you picked him up, he instantly stopped, yanking you closer to press a kiss to the side of your face before snuggling into your shoulder.
"Aww Chance." You patted his back giving him a kiss back on his forehead.
"I want kisses, please." Levi said bouncing on his tippy toes.
You quickly gave him a forehead kiss as well and he calmed down enough to rock against you, "I hope you're still this cute when you're holding my children." He sighs.
(Ok so I reached the post number limit. Might make a P2 of this let's see how this one does first.)

hello love! can i request erwin x fem reader smut where they're quite the opposite, and after a mission they're tired and just fuck (maybe in the woods or something) because they're so stressed but also because they've been wanting to do it long before? like everyone feels the tension between them except they don't wanted to admit it? thanks! i love your blog. 🥺✨
Hey babes, of course! Thanks for sending this one in, I love writing for Levi but I need to switch it up sometimes lol.
Warnings: lowkey hatefucking, intercourse obvi,  fucking in da woods, wrap it before u tap it!, unprotected sex.
Summary: Erwin is selfish, but it’s okay because you are too.
Word Count: 2.4K
__
Your breathing was uneven as you hunched over, chest rising erratically. Your blades were dull and gas was running low, you tapped on the cans ruefully, the dull din signaling how empty the canisters truly were. You were just starting to regain your senses when the sound of hoofbeats startled you. Hange tugged the reins of her horse, the beast turned its head and bared its teeth when she pulled so harshly on the bit.
“Excellent work! That was a clean cut.” Hange complimented as she smiled wryly down at you. You nodded and lifted your fingers to your lips and whistled for your own mount.
“Thanks, it was a big one too. I’ll have to find the supply wagons though, gas is almost gone.” You said as you tossed the dulled blades off to the side and slide the handles of the gear back into the scabbards.
“Ah you’ll have to work on that.” Hange said, her head swiveling to keep watch while you waited for your horse to return. A few moments passed before the sound of your horse trampling through the foliage alerted of its return. You caught it by the reins and threw yourself onto its back.
“Let’s return to the formation then.” Hange said, once again roughly jerking her horse into the right direction, you close on her heels. The two of you rode through the trees at break neck speed, trying to make up for lost time. You finally managed to make out the sight of Erwin and Levi, their own steeds galloping back in the direction of the wall.
“What’s going on!? I haven’t caught my titan yet!” Hange wailed when you reunited with the other pair.
“Too many casualties.” Levi quipped, expression sour and hands bloodied. You rolled your eyes and clutched the reins harder.
“We just need a few more minutes, let’s not call it off yet.” You insisted and Hange exclaimed excitedly at the shared sentiment.
“Won’t be possible, we can’t risk loosing more lives. There’s been enough bloodshed for one day.” Erwin’s voice was tense and his blue eyes were icy as he shot you and Hange down.
“I don’t see why it matters, if we already have lost most of our men...why not push onwards?” You weren’t sure if you really felt that way, or if you were looking for a fight. You were well aware of how Levi felt about losing his men, and how little Erwin truly cared about loosing lives. You knew that was what separated the two of them, Erwin only cared for his own selfish goals, although he hid it well. Levi on the other hand truly cared for the soldiers, and wanted victory for humanity.
“Shut your filthy fucking mouth.” Levi hissed, gunmetal eyes dark and jaw tense as he bit back his words, waiting for Erwin to tell you off.
“We simply don’t have the means at this time.” Erwin said simply, eyes trained forward. You glowered at him, you couldn’t deny that you held some malice towards him, for his seeming lack of empathy towards his men. But could you blame him? You had joined the scouts for your own selfish desires as well, he just had the power to ensure that his desires were acted upon.
“Very well.” You growled, leaning into your horse’s neck as the four of you picked up the pace. Erwin lifted a flare gun and fired the signal into the air for retreat.
__
The march into the gates and through Shiganshina was brutal as always. The citizens murmured of their wasted tax dollars and the waste of human life. You silently agreed with them, glaring at the back of Erwin’s perfect blonde head. You wanted nothing more than to scream at him, maybe even slap him, then you’d fuck- wait no. Not that last part, you shook your head in an attempt to rid the vulgar thoughts from your mind.
The castle was notably vacant when you arrived. Having lost so many men, the grounds were less busy than usual. You wandered around, having already put your horse away and assisted with the unloading of the excess supplies. You were grateful for the summer breeze, the last rays of light poking through the trees. You wandered off towards the thicket of trees that rested between the castle and the mountain range beyond.
The sounds of the forest seeped into your bones and reminded you of your home, your family, why you had originally agreed to this regiment. You were so caught up in your own thoughts, you almost didn’t hear the twig snapping off to your right. You whipped your head towards the noise, catching the flash of blonde hair and a stark white dress shirt.
“Following me?” You growled, turning to face him fully, Erwin’s cold blue eyes shone in the dim light.
“To an extent.” He shrugged nonchalantly and you bristled at the admission.
“Come to ravage me?” You pushed, wanting a reaction from the usually stoic man.
“Not exactly.”
“Then what? You men are simple creatures after all, only so many motives behind your dull eyes.” You bit, unable to keep the frustrations from your tone. Erwin’s thick brows pinched together at your words.
“I came to tell you that....I want you to be a squad leader.” Erwin’s jaw ticked as he waited for your response. You let out a scoff of disbelief, eyes shining with mirth.
“Why? Because I showed a fraction of the coldness that you display?” You hissed, marching across the small amount of space between you and attempted to get in his face. Although it was difficult seeing as how tall he stood.
“Precisely.” Erwin’s voice was a bit airy, eyes now seeming to shine with something besides the cunning that usually resided in them. You narrowed your own eyes and let loose a growl fisting the front of his shirt as you considered your options.
If you accepted the position, you would be no better than him. But then again were you really any better in the first place?
“I’ll do it.” You released him and took a step back, determination gleaming in your eyes.
“I knew that you would.” He smirked, lips curling into an annoying grin, making your stomach flip.
“Could this not have waited until morning?” You asked, eyes drifting to the last glimmers of sunlight that spotted the forest floor.
“I suppose it could have...but I wanted to see you before then.” You wrinkled your nose in disgust, earlier suspicions proving true.
“Oh really?” You huffed with a dramatic roll of your eyes. Erwin’s expression darkened, and he took. a step forward, invading your space. You stood as tall as you possibly could, not wanting to let on how nervous you really felt in his suffocating presence.
“I wanted to ask you...why you are so bent on challenging my authority.” It wasn’t a question, more of a statement, putting you on the ropes. You glowered at him, his chest bumping yours, prompting you to take a few healthy steps back. Which you did, until your back met the rough bark of an oak tree.
“Why should I listen to someone who holds no regard to human life?” You snarled in response, but it felt more like a yelp, your heartbeat picked up as his hand gripped the tree, trapping you between his towering figure and the large tree.
“I can’t help but wonder if it could have something to do with the way you stare at me….” His breath tickled your face as he craned his head down, your cheeks lit up as you blushed.
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You denied, although it was true, you had developed a bad habit of seeking out his form in the dining hall. Watching him too closely during meetings. He was attractive, that was an undeniable fact, but the resentment that you held for him had always prevented you from seeking out anything more than the professional relationship that had been established.
“I know you do, I’ll only offer this once and never again. I’ve had this on my mind for a while now, if you aren’t interested then we can pretend that this never happened.” He paused, gauging your reaction as you looked up at him in shock.
“I want to fuck you. Right here.” He pointed his finger towards the ground and his eyes flashed with an animosity you’d never seen before.
“H-Here?” You stammered, unsure of what to think, but the ache between your thighs was quickly overcoming your senses.
“Yes.” His other hand slid up your side and rested over the strap of your gear over your breasts.
“What will it be then squad leader?” He hummed as he toyed with the buckle. You swallowed thickly but managed to nod curtly, not wanting to verbally admit your attraction to your commander.
“Use your words.” He ordered, tugging harshly on the strap, pulling you flush against his chest. You gasped, head tilting up to meet his cold gaze.
“I….want you to fuck me commander.” You grew more confident with each word, and you could see the pleased smirk curling over Erwin’s features.
“Glad we finally agree on something.” He huffed, fingers easily unbuckling the strap and then deftly unbuttoning your blouse. As he did so he walked you back against the tree, he left your shirt on, instead favoring unbuttoning your trousers. You gripped his jacket as he slid his hand down to cup your pussy. He chuckled at how wet you were, his large fingers gathering your slickness before slipping into you. You let out another gasp and pushed his jacket off of his shoulders, he withdrew from you to help you undress him as well. You only got to undo his pants before he pressed his lips to yours, tongue pushing past your lips.
He leaned down and scooped you up, hands supporting the backs of your thighs as he used the tree to keep you steady. Your head hit the tree roughly as he continued to attack your mouth, you could do nothing but open your mouth to meet his lips. He slid one of his hands up and gripped the waistband of your pants, pulling them just below your knees, it was a bit of a struggle due to the position he had you in. But you got there eventually. The air felt cool against your exposed sex, and you found yourself blushing crimson as he pressed you harder into the tree so that he could free his cock. You bit your lip in anticipation as he finally managed to pull himself free of his pants.
He pulled away from your lips, eyes lidded and clearly focused on lining himself up to your entrance. You hissed when the head of his cock slid effortlessly along the length of your pussy. Finally he pressed the tip inside of you, pausing as he shifted to grip both of your thighs and gain better leverage.
“Erwin please.” You whimpered, rocking your hips in an attempt to get him to fully sheath himself.
“Beg for it.” He hissed, breath hot against the shell of your ear before his tongue darted out and licked a stripe up the side of your neck.
“I-I need you so bad, please I need you to fuck me.” Your hands clawed at his shoulders as you used your core to keep yourself upright and legs spread for him.
“Good girl.” He growled, finally snapping his hips and sheathing himself in one thrust. You groaned at the fullness, walls stretching to accommodate his size. His own breathing seemed to grow more erratic as he began to rock his hips back and forth. Your back burned from the friction of rubbing against the tree behind you. There was no doubt about you having some kind of scratch in the morning.
You threw your head back against the trunk of the tree as he picked up the speed, hands roaming up from your thighs to your ass, you clenched your legs to wrap around his waist. Your muscles burned but the coil that was building in your stomach kept you motivated, wanting nothing more than to cum over his cock.
He grunted as you twitched around him, his hips somehow seemed to gain more speed, nose burying between the space between your neck and shoulder. You felt him leave a wet kiss there before sucking harshly on the skin. You tilted your head in the opposite direction, giving him more room as he lapped his tongue along the newly exposed skin.
“E-Erwin I think that-”
“Wait.” He snarled against your throat, biting it a bit roughly, you moaned wantonly at the action and dug your heels into the small of his back. His cock stroked along the rigid spot inside of you and you nearly screamed, barely containing your orgasm as he had asked you to. He struck that spot relentlessly, hips meeting yours harshly as he pounded into you.
“Just like that.” He groaned as he pushed you flat against the tree, using all of his strength to keep you there as he drove into you.
“Please Erwin let me cum.” You sobbed as he bit your collarbone, his dick twitched inside of you at your plea, he pulled back, icy eyes locked on your wrecked face as tears rolled down your cheeks.
“Only since you’ve been such a good girl.” He growled, and reached down between your legs, you tightened your grip on his shoulders to make up for the lost support as he pressed his calloused finger to your throbbing clit and rubbed tight circles. Your legs twitched as you felt the coil snap and your cunt clamped down around his dick. He hissed at the sudden tightness and groaned as he came as well. You felt the warmth trickle out of you as he pulled away. He held you up as you shook, coming down from the high he had given you.
“See what we can do when we work together?” He chuckled darkly, hand toying with your bra as you clung to his neck.
“Keep dreaming eyebrows.” You huffed, pulling away from him and shakily pulling your pants up. He tucked himself back into his pants and picked up his jacket from the forest floor.
“See me in my office tomorrow and we will discuss your promotion.” He called after you as you marched back towards HQ, cheeks burning from the interaction you’d just had with your commander. You threw your hand up dismissively, trying to ignore the dark chuckle he let out when he saw how flustered you were.
Maybe he wasn’t all that bad after all….

does the cast have any hobbies or activities they like to do to chill or have fun?
Tommy usually draws and he's actually pretty good (becoming an illustrator for graphic novels/comic books is one of his dreams.) He also plays video games and though he's not very good at them he still enjoys it. Bike rides are also fun, but only with other people.
Dev loves riding/working on motorcycles but also enjoys going to random bars dozens of miles away and hustling drunk strangers at darts, pool, or poker. Xe has an eye for easy marks and, somehow, xe never loses.
EJ really loves to read, ideally in a field of wildflowers or at the base of a massive tree. They also enjoy crafty stuff like pottery and knitting. They even joined a quilting circle a few years back while back but quit after the group politics got too messy.
Adam/Eve genuinely enjoys exercise and yoga and they help them manage stress. They're also really good at knife throwing and will practice that in their backyard to blow off steam. They hang out at Nel's Diner a lot, sometimes with a group of friends or their cousin.
Ainsley is always doing some kind of home improvement project and carpentry is one of her big pastimes. She enjoys fishing, especially during salmon season, making fun soaps, and taking her dog, Caspian, for walks through town.
Lucía loves hiking, especially if it's a rainy day. If she's not outside (rare) then she enjoys baking, boxing, and watching shows beneath a mound of fuzzy blankets. She's also a drummer in a jazz band which plays Friday and some Saturday nights at a lounge in Vancouver.
Ciel enjoys taking risks and there's little they won't try. They love seeing live music and watching movies. Like Ainsley, they enjoy going for walks around town but prefer to do so at night. (They're also secretly a great baker and are really into GBBO.)
Rose loves just spending time with his daughter and supporting her interests. He likes to watch stand-up and is a talented guitarist. He also recently discovered a love for those painting classes where you drink wine and socialize and he's gone to a few with Adam/Eve.
And I won't say anything about The Celestial and Danny for now because (doing a River Song impression) spoilers.

The Rest Of Our Lives
Levi Ackerman x Reader
It had all finally came to an end, the world could finally try its best to heal from years upon years of death.
Speaking of healing, he had gone through the worst of it over the years. And finally, he has the rest of his life to heal.
But he can't do it alone...
(Spoiler Warning!!! This story contains spoilers for the end of the Attack on Titan manga!!!)
It had been three years since that fateful battle. So many lives had been lost that day, good and bad, friend and enemy. Even the majority of the human population, eighty percent to be specific, had been wiped out just for the slim chance of peace, and even then, it wasn't completely guaranteed. But for now, all was calm. That day, was the battle between titan and human, heaven and earth. The day the dreaded rumbling had began, and soon ended. It resulted in many deaths and plenty of injuries, the worst landed upon Levi Ackerman. Humanity's strongest soldier was nearly killed, but he wasn't given that title for nothing. He was still living today, though missing a few fingers, a working eye, and finally his permanently damaged leg. It wasn't too much of a problem, as there were no longer any titans to fight. Though, it was somewhat, shameful in his eyes. That after everything, a busted leg is what holds him down. He wasn't even elderly, and yet he needed constant help. He grateful for the help however, though he wished he didn't have to burden people with his problem so much.
But, it wasn't a burden or a problem to her.
She was there by his side for as long as he can remember. She fought by his side during expeditions, comforted him during his low points, and even risked her life over and over to keep him safe and alive. He can't say he's never done the same for her. Maybe it was her constant attention and care, that made him fall in love with her. At the time, it was horrible. He fell in love with someone he could so easily loose, but now in a world free of titans, he could love her as much as he wanted. And the same goes for her. They both confessed their love for each other shortly before the rumbling began, then he proposed to her after everything settled.
And so, here they were, in their own little cabin next to a beautiful lake, surrounded by tall pine trees. They both were outside today, rested on the bench that sat right before the lake. Hand in hand, her head leaning on his shoulder. Their gentle breaths in sync with one another. The calmness of the quiet air, aided to their ease. For once in their lives, they felt no need for worry or panic, or when the next attack from the titans would be. And they would never need for such worries again.
Her eyes slowly opened, she smiled as the first thing she saw, was her soon to be husband. Even with the scars, he was still as handsome as ever. Though, his eyes were distant and somewhat empty. Why? "Levi?" She spoke softly. "Are you ok?" Levi finally blinked, sighing softly he looked down at you. "I'm fine. Why do you ask?" She sits up to meet his gaze. "You seem, a little distant. Are you tired?" Levi shakes his head before placing his hand on his scar. "Just thinking." He muttered. Was that what this was about? This would happen every now and then, Levi would just stare at himself in the mirror. Well, less himself and more at his blinded eye, the two long scars that covered it. It started from the top of his eye down to his lip. He considered himself lucky, that explosion Zeke Yeager caused could have just killed him all together. But it only costed him an eye and a few fingers.
Still she wondered, did he hate how he looked now? He never commented on it before, so she just assumed he didn't care. But the way his overall expression would falter anytime he saw it, or tried to lifted his hand, or even when he tried to stand. "Levi? You know I didn't think less of you because of those scars." She placed her hand on top of his damaged one. "Or your hand. Or your leg. I still love you. I always have and I always will. This doesn't change a thing." Y/n say softly, trying to reassure him. "I...I know that Y/n. But....it's not that...not this time." Levi looks up at the sky. It was a soft orange, signifying the end of the day. "Every time I wake up, I wonder when it will happen." Y/n blinks a few times, not really understanding. "When what will happen?" She asks. "When they will come back. The titans. Before, at any moment, we could die at the hands of those giant bastards." Y/n would be lying if she said she hadn't felt the same at sometimes.
"But Levi, that was before. They're gone now. There are no more titans, we're safe." She explains to him.
"For how long?"
The panic in his voice was clear. Y/n took both of his hands and held them in her own. Her eyes full of sincerity as she spoke. "Levi, I know how you're feeling. But, you were there that day. We both were, the titans are gone. They died along with Eren." It still pained you to say it. Though in the end Eren was acting rash and out of hand, you still remembered him as the same young boy with hope in his heart that one day, the world would be a one without titans. It was a shame that he let it go to his head, and because of that, he was responsible for nearly exterminating all of humanity. Therefore, he had to face the consequences of his actions and pay the ultimate price. Poor kid...
"There are no trace of titans left. We're safe. You're safe. And you will never have to worry about stuff like that ever again." You bring his hands up and kiss them gently. Making sure he felt your love, even through his missing fingers. "And I won't ever leave your side. I'll always be here for you Levi. To care for you, to love you, for the rest of our lives."
A sudden wetness on your hands made you flinch. You look up to expecting to see rain, but instead, you saw Levi, crying. He sniffles a few times before leaning closer to you, until his head rested on your shoulder. You smiles and rub his back in a soothing manor. Through his sobs, you could make out a feint "thank you" from Levi.
You meant every word. You will always be there for him. And he in return would always be there for you. You two will always have each other, for the rest of your lives.
Another year has come to pass, Levi and Y/n had finally married, and proud to call themselves Mr and Mrs Ackerman. And Mrs Ackerman was expecting and due to deliver soon. There were congratulations given all around. From Armin, Jean, Connie, Annie, Reiner, even Falco and Gabi. Even Mikasa. It was a bit surprised that she came to visit. Mikasa had became distant ever since Eren died, she was the one that killed him after all. She had been by Eren side for many many years, and in the end, she was the one that put him to rest. It took quite a toll on her. But she was recovering, slowly but surely.
Y/n wished so desperately that Hanji and Erwin could have been here today. Though, she bet that Hanji would have been pretty sad without having anymore titans to experiment on. But deep down she knew, that they were still here, even if she couldn't see them. Levi knew it as well. They would both regularly visit their graves to pay respects and generally just talk about what's going on in their lives. Hanji would have been so thrilled to know that Levi and Y/n settled down to start a family. From the very beginning, Hanji had always hoped you two would get together. She even went as far as teasing her and Levi, which would normally result in a kick to the back from Levi. Not too hard though, he didn't want to break her spine. And Erwin, he would just be happy to see Levi happy with someone. And of course Levi's former squad would be happy that he was at peace with himself. They all would be so proud of him.
When it came time for Y/n to deliver, it was one of the most stressful and wonderful days of Levi's life. Fortunately, Y/n was just fine afterwards and gave birth to a healthy and beautiful little girl. She resembled Levi the most, with her black hair and her grey-blue eyes. She had some of Y/n's features as well, like her skin tone and her facial features.
"What should we name her?" Y/n spoke softly as she held her baby close. "We haven't came up with a name for her yet?" Levi mutters. They were spending more time preparing themselves for a new addition to their small family, that they hardly had time to think of one. Levi gently stroked his daughter's cheek, she gave a tiny smile in return before her face returned to a more sleepy one. It made Levi's heart race. This was his daughter, he made that! Well, really Y/n did, but it meant just as much to him. Never in his wildest dreams would he ever think that he would have children. Then again, he never thought he would meet someone like Y/n either. Levi's stone expression dropped, a smile of his own made it onto his face.
"Levi, I've actually had one in mind for a while. But, I wasn't sure if...you would be ok with it." Y/n spoke hesitantly. Levi held her hand, such a small gesture, made sure she knew she didn't have to keep anything from him. "I know how close you were to Farlan and Isabell." Levi's breathing halted for a second. "More specifically, how much Isabell looked up to you. I know she saw you as a brother, but...what I'm trying to say is, what if we named her, Isabell?" Y/n looked down at her baby, who was sleeping peacefully in her arms. It was true, Farlan and Isabell were like family to Levi, it was devastating the way they died. He wasn't there to help them, if he was, maybe they would be here today. He missed them dearly...
When Levi didn't respond, Y/n became worried. "I-I mean, we don't have to. I was just-"
"It's perfect." Levi cut her off. "Our little Isabell." He says with another warm smile. Y/n returned the smile before kissing her daughter's head. "Welcome to the world, Isabell." She whispers.
With this, Levi knew he was living for so much more. He had a woman who loved him with all her heart, despite how he looks now. And now, he had a child. Though this world was without titans, it doesn't mean there won't be another danger that was out there, just waiting to snatch his happiness away from him. But Levi wouldn't let it. Levi swore this very day, to protect his wife and daughter with everything he had. Despite injury, despite age, he would never let anything or anyone harm his family. Because for now on, it will be only them, together.
For the rest of their lives.

Prompt, Alec and a pet hellhound?
OH HELL YES, ALEC WITH A HELLHOUND?  OMG YAS!  HERE HAVE SOME RANDOM DOMESTICITY AND SHENANIGANS.
~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~
Alec dashed under the bridge, his bow in hand.
"Alec!" Isabelle shouted, diving under the swipe of claws coming towards her.  "Alec, hurry up!"
Alec grunted in annoyance and didn't bother answering, taking a running leap the second he hit the crest of the hill, loosing two arrows into the demons surging towards Isabelle and Jace before he hit the ground hard, rolling to his feet a second later.  "Wasn't going to risk hitting you!" he snapped, stepping in next to Jace, unsheathing his Seraph blade a moment later, swiping through the next demon that leaped for them both.
"We need to retreat!" Isabelle said.  "Or we need backup immediately.  We can't hold them back!"
"We also can't afford to let them run rampant through Central Park!" Alec snapped back at her, slicing another demon clean in half.
"Might be a good moment to call your friend, Alec!" Jace said, grunting as a demon shoved him back and he ducked under a slice of a poisonous tail, just barely.
Alec winced and looked at the battle.  Jace was right.  Fuck.  He pulled back and lifted two fingers to his mouth, letting out a piercing whistle.  "Come on, girl," he whispered.  "We need your help."
It took several seconds longer than usual, but the sound of barking echoed behind the demon horde.  Alec spared a few seconds to be terrified for her, but then the sound of snarling and demons exploding into ichor came.  He watched her claws sink into another shax demon as she bit into a ravener, flames licking at the corners of her mouth.
"Good girl," Alec panted, swinging his blade up and through the ravener, until it was gone.  "Such a good girl," he praised, even as she turned back to the rest of the demons.  With her help, they made quick work of the rest of the demons, all three of them sinking into an exhausted pile next to a tree.
"Next time," Jace managed, clearing off his blades.  "When someone says that there's probably nothing?  Please send two patrols, Alec."
"You got it," Alec said, huffing out a small laugh.  He reached out and pushed his fingers through Braeya’s fur and smiled down at her.  "You saved us tonight.  We owe you."
Isabelle lifted her head and scowled.  "Still can't see her."
Jace hummed in agreement, watching as Alec continued to pet the invisible dog in front of him.  "Still weird, too.  How big is she now?  She still growing?"
Alec looked to the hellhound that stood, at full height, her head in the middle of his chest and smiled.  "Very much still growing."
"And you still have no idea why she shows up?" Isabelle asked, narrowing her eyes at her brother.  "Somehow I figure that's not likely."
Alec didn't bother answering, leaning down to press his forehead against hers, breathing slowly, her fur warm with the fire that was inside her.  "Thank you for coming.  I know it's not as easy as it used to be."  At least, that was his guess, considering it took her a few seconds longer each time.
Braeya gave a huff and settled properly on top of her human, closing her eyes and relaxing.
Alec continued to pet her, smiling.  "The two of you head back and get your paperwork sorted."
"Alec, I think-"
"Come on, Izzy," Jace said, shaking his head at her before he started to force himself upright.  "I don't think that there's anything we can do right now to convince him to head back with us."
Izzy bit down on her lip and stared at her brother.  "Alec, you'll be careful, right?"
Alec smiled at her and looked down at Braeya.  "I will.  She'll keep an eye on me, promise."
Izzy frowned, but followed Jace out of the park.
Alec leaned back against the tree with a sigh.  "They're getting more and more suspicious, now.  Not sure there's anything we can do about it, but we need to be careful."
She whined and pushed at his leg.
"I know you want to follow me home, but it's not like you can step on hallowed ground.  We tried that, remember?"  When she gave another irritated huff, Alec closed his eyes and let him relax.  "Don't worry, I'll stay here as long as you want, I promise."
It would have to be enough, for now.
~!~
Keeping Braeya a secret was a nightmare most of the time, especially as he got older, but Alec, between help from his siblings and being able to set his own schedule at the Institute, made due.
Unfortunately, now he had an additional complication, and that complication came in the form of a boyfriend.  And while Braeya's glamour worked on other shadowhunters (though he wasn't sure why it didn't work on him, but it might have something to do with the bite mark on the back of his calf that he kept glamoured), it probably wouldn't work on someone like Magnus.  Alec chewed on his lip as he settled against a tree and whistled for Braeya.
It was nice not to have to call her for battle all of the time, and he knew that she appreciated it, though she was more than strong enough to survive any demons they were fighting.  It also helped, if he was right about his guess that certain poisons didn't affect her from the demons.  He wasn't positive about that, but it made sense, in some twisted way.
Braeya huffed and settled next to him, a rumbling growl of approval escaping her as Alec started to pet her head.
"I'm not sure what to do," Alec admitted, looking down at her.  "I love Magnus, so much, and I want him to meet you, but I'm also worried about what he might say." He closed his eyes.  "Jace and Izzy didn't care, because you've proved that you want to keep me safe.  Multiple times.  That's all they worry about.  But Magnus?  I don't know what he'll think."
Braeya huffed.
Alec turned his attention to her with a raised eyebrow and watched as her form shimmered and shifted.  In a blink, she was the size of a normal dog, rather than the size he'd gotten used to, the one almost as big as him in height.  He rubbed the spot behind her ears and watched her sag in relief and relaxation.  "Is that a hint that I should take you to visit Magnus?"
An echoing bark.
Alec laughed and pushed himself upright.  "Okay.  All right.  Let's head there.  I'm supposed to be spending the night tonight, so you need to be on your best behavior."  He turned and headed for Brooklyn, smiling down at the sight of Braeya trotting beside him, weaving in and out of people on the street with an ease born of magic.
He stopped at the base of the building and frowned, looking at the buzzer.  If he walked into the building with a hellhound, Magnus would likely not wait for him to explain.  Alec took a deep breath and hit the buzzer.
"Who calls upon the High Warlock of Brooklyn?" Magnus drawled.
"Hey Magnus," Alec said.  He kept his finger on the button and looked down at Braeya.  "Could you come downstairs?"  Alec heard a quick flurry of clothing over the intercom.
"Is everything all right, are you safe?"
Alec smiled.  "I'm fine.  I just...need to show you something.  I couldn't just bring her up."  He could feel the confusion from Magnus, but he lifted his finger off the button and turned to Braeya.  "All right, now, we need to make a good impression with Magnus, because I really love him and I don't want him to get scared away, okay?"
Braeya huffed at him and Alec knelt down and hugged her tight.
"Alexander?"  Magnus asked.
Alec stood up and smiled at Magnus.  "Hey!"  He stepped closer and kissed Magnus softly, before backing up a step and gesturing behind him.  "I have someone I want you to meet."
Magnus' eyes dropped from Alec down to the hellhound standing behind him and blinked.  "Alexander, you know that..."
"That Braeya is a hellhound?  Yeah.  I've known for years now.  I didn't want to bring her in yet in case she set off your wards," Alec said.  "But I promise she's of no danger to anyone.  I just, uh, wanted her to meet you."
"How..." Magnus took a second and shook his head.  "Alexander, why do you have a hellhound following you?  Why have you named her?"
Alec shrugged.  "The second or third time I saw her, she kept coming to my rescue, so I decided she needed a name.  The other shadowhunters can't see her, not Jace, Izzy, or Clary."
Magnus nodded, even though that was impossible.  "How, where does she live?"
"I don't quite know," Alec admitted, looking down at her.  When Braeya looked up at him, he pushed his fingers into her rough fir and scratched gently.  "She comes when I call, and she always walks me back to the Institute.  She's never underfed, and is healthy as far as I can tell."
"I can't believe you've befriended a Hellhound," Magnus muttered, pressing a hand to his face.  "How can you even see her?"
Alec shrugged again.  "I'm not entirely sure about that, either.  But she bit me, at one point, early on.  I've been able to see her ever since, so maybe it has something to do with that?"
Magnus took a few steps closer and knelt down in front of the Hellhound when she started to growl and held out his hand for her.  "She's not normally this size, is she?"
Alec laughed.  "No, she's normally much, much larger.  This is small for her," he admitted.  "I didn't...want to have to keep her a secret from you.  I have to keep her a secret from everyone else."
Magnus looked up at Alec and then back down to the Hellhound who was licking at his hand eagerly.  He could see she enjoyed the taste of his magic and smiled, letting a few sparks escape from his fingertips for her to chase the taste of.  "Thank you for telling me."  He looked down at her again.  "Would you both like to come up?"
Braeya let out a bark, her tail wagging eagerly.
Magnus laughed and stood up.  "Just make sure she doesn't eat any of the cats," he cautioned.  "And then we'll have to see if we can unwravel some of her mystery because she certainly is fascinating!"
Alec bit down on his lip.  "You don't mind?"
"Alexander," Magnus said, reaching out to take Alec's hand, giving it a slow squeeze.  "I am nothing but glad that you have had someone out there keeping an eye on you and protecting you when you needed it most.  I admit I do want to hear more about the story of how you found her, but she will always be welcome in my home."
Braeya gave a pleased bark and trotted closer to Magnus, nuzzling against him.
"Looks like you made a good first impression," Alec said, glancing up at Magnus with a smile.
"I tend to be good at those.  Now, come on.  Dinner for all of us, then we can have that story," Magnus said, opening the door to the apartment.

hello there, could you do smutty prompt 2 w/ Hunter where he and the reader get in a sticky situation and they both think they're going to die so he confesses his feelings and they make love like it's the end of the world
“you were always more than just a one-night stand to me”
------------------------ Hunter x GN!Reader - Smut - Fear to love ------------------------
Content Warning: 18+ Only below the cut
-----------------------------------
"I'm really hating this mission!" You yelled over the sound of blaster shots and droids falling to the ground.
"Really? I thought it was going pretty well." Hunter joked, trying to hide his concern as the droids forced the two of you deeper into the forest. The brush was too thick to get a comm signal through to the rest of the Bad Batch.
Luckily Hunter's skills and natural knack for this kind of terrain kept you both alive. Finding paths through the thick foliage and trees, sliding down muddy hillsides.
"These clankers just won't give up," you complained as they continued to follow you. They really didn't want you getting into that secret Separatist station. Not only were there regular droids but also commando droids, so far they were the only ones able to keep up. But you knew the others weren't far behind.
"Hopefully we'll at least act as a distraction, so the others can get in and out before the droids double back," Hunter said, continuing to forge a path.
"Let's hope."
You took turns between running and fighting, slowly thinning down the masses of droids following close behind. It doesn't take long before some commando droids thought about flanking the two of you. Using the forest and blaster fire to cover their movements as they circled behind you and Hunter.
Now blaster fire was coming from all sides, both of you knew this wouldn't end well if it continued. "Hunter, find a way outta here!"  "I'm trying!" He said frantically, searching, knowing there was no time to focus. His senses were already overloaded with all the sounds the droids were making.
"Here quick!" He shouted as he grabbed your wrist, pulling you behind him as he began running, taking some blaster fire as he charged through a small group of droids. - You heard a sound; it was loud, the closer you got the louder it became. It didn't take long to realize it was a waterfall.
"Jump," Hunter said, now holding your hand as he approached the edge.  "Are you crazy?! We could die!" "Well, it's either get killed by a bunch of clankers or risk jumping in some water. I'll make sure you're safe, okay? You just have to trust me." He said, looking over your shoulder to see the droids approaching quickly.
"I can't."  "Yes, yes you can," he reassured, but it wasn't helping. "No....no I - I can't."  Hunter pulled off his helmet and cupped your face, "You can... I love you, and I'm not going to let you die, trust me."
You were too occupied with panicking about the clankers and waterfall to really have his words register, so after a moment of hesitation and stepping closer to the edge before stepping back in panic, you finally nodded to him. "Fine, just promise we'll get out of there."
"I promise." He replied before the both of you jumped off into the water. Even with your suits on, it was freezing, chilling you to the bone. The water rushed all around you, pushing and pulling you in every direction, slamming you into things as you tried to fight against it. Luckily, as promised, Hunter was there to get you, pulling you up against his chest as he swam to the water's edge. Helping you up onto the rocky ground.
"I'm never doing that again!" You huffed, trying to keep yourself from shivering.
"Come on, we need to get to cover before they see us." He said taking your hand and leading you into the forest. It was already getting dark. Soon the warmth of the sun was gone, now replaced by a small fire he had made while you built a shelter. - It took a while, but it was finally finished.
"You know we could have died," you say with a sad expression.  "Remember, I'd never let you die," he reassured, placing his hand over yours to stop it from shivering. - Now you remember, and now you had time to process the words he said earlier, "You love me?" You questioned, unsure if he really meant it or just said it at the moment.
"Of course I do, I mean what I say," he replied with a smile on his face. Something came over you, and you leaned in, kissing him. It didn't take long for him to reciprocate and then deepen the kiss. Your fingers played with his long hair as he grabbed you to pull you close. Pulling away to catch some air, the both of you couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "We really should get off these clothes, it's freezing."
He smirked at your proposal and in no time the both of you had removed each other's uniforms and laid them by the fire to dry out. Ducking into the cover of the shelter, only taking the one blanket that was stuffed into Hunter's backpack.
You always assumed Hunter would be at an advantage with his abilities but instead your every touch silenced him as he couldn't help but take in every aspect of you. From your smell to the feeling of your skin against his, the warmth in you and himself.
To regain some control of his senses, he flipped you on your back, allowing you the time to enjoy the touch of his skin on yours. Pleasuring you in all your most desired places. His hot lips pressing against your neck as he left bite marks on your skin, the sounds from your mouth making him fall more in love with you. "Hunter! Ahhh!!" You groan as his lips move down your body, his hand quickening its pace. Soon you were pushed into ecstasy, crying out his name as his tongue dragged against your skin.
After recovering from your high, you told him to lie down. Now was his time to get some. Showing him the same dedication he gave you, overstimulating him with every jerk of your hand and body. Every pleasant sound imaginable came from him as he reached his peak, desperately kissing you between heavy breaths of air. Soon you collapsed on top of him, exhausted, hot, and sweaty. The two of you now tucked under the covers, escaping the cold air that crept in from the outside. It didn’t take long to drift to sleep. Your face snuggled in his chest.
----------
It had been a few weeks since you last had the chance to see Hunter, now that you came face to face with him again after when had happened you felt a little shy. Was that a mistake, was he avoiding you, or did missions just not line up? "Hey," he said, walking over to you with a smile on his face.  "Hi, — how are you?" "Better now that I've found you...I'm sorry we haven't been able to talk after everything that happened --" Before he finished your nervous brain reacted, hoping to get the pain done with quickly, unaware that he was searching for you to tell you that he really meant everything. That he loved you.
"Hunter, maybe it's better — that... it's just that... I know we did that in just the heat of the moment, so if... ugh I..." you huffed, unable to get out the words you wanted. To save you from further embarrassment, he interjected, "I've come to tell you that I do love you."
"What?"  "You were always more than just a one-night stand to me," he said, taking your hand in his.
"Uh, I... I don't know what to say?"  "You don't need to say anything," he said, kissing your cheek. "I do... I — I love you too," you say with a smile, “Are you free?” You asked with a small smirk on your face.  “Yes,” he said, smirking back, knowing exactly what you were implying. It was going to be a long night, but one the two of you were looking forward to.
