She snuggles her face further into matt the bright shining sun too much for her tired eyes to handle.

Matt brings a hand up to place it on the back of her head as her face snuggles into his chest further. “Morning sweetheart” he whispers quietly his eyes looking down at her lovingly.She squirms slightly in his grasp lifting herself up completely sitting infant of matt as she stretch’s her arms out riding her body of the sleepy feeling. He chuckles “having trouble waking yourself up sleepyhead?” He says chuckling again watching her as she stretches and turns clearly trying to full wake her self up. She finishes stretching falling back into matts arms.”good morning matt” she smiles up at him taking in his tired face and raspy voice. “There she is” he says smiling at the love of his life infront of him. He reaches to her grabbing her up effortlessly and bringing her into a warm hug “how’d you sleep baby?” He says to her still holding her tightly rubbing his hands onto her waist soothing her. “ I slept very well matt, how about you my love?”she ask wondering how he had slept knowing he sleeps better with people around hoping she brought him a sense of serenity.“I always sleep well with my girl in my arms” she giggles lovingly agreeing with the man without words. She sighs quietly getting matts attention.

”we have to get up pretty soon matt” She says pouting and groaning not wanting to leave matt for even a second “I have to get home soon I have sooo much work to do” she groans again rolling her eyes remembering the work the is waiting for her in her lonely apartment.

He looks down at her sadly remembering she has to leave him and he’ll be alone. “Speaking of home..” He says instantly grabbing the girls attention her confused expression looking at him.”mhm?” She says confused. “What if we…Moved in together? I mean we already practically live together already as is.. but why not make it official get our own place settle down..?” He asks softly, his eyes immediately lock onto your face his eyes searching for a reaction. her head pops up from his chest staring deeply into his eyes “Oh matt.. are you serious?!” Matts looks at you still trying to read your expression his eyes filled with sincerity. “Yea baby I’m serious. I mean if your not ready than that’s okay of course…I just thought-, is it too soon..?” he looks down from your face for a moment looking back up pleading to himself that you don’t say no.

She looks up at him a certain shine in her eyes almost as if there’s hearts in them. “Oh no baby not at all.. I’d love to more than anything ” his face immediately lights up at this. she pounces forward onto Matt squeezing him tight as if she’s scared this isn’t real. “oh my love you scared me for a second there. I thought you were gonna say no” he says clutching onto her body that now against his again. He kisses you shoulder softly an act of love from him. “I love you Matt so much.. I love us” she sits up on her knees her hands resting on Matt’s chest. He meets her gaze noticing her glossy eyes as slow tears start to stream down her face. He sits up concern on his expression.“hey, hey.. baby why are you crying..what’s wrong?” his voice is soft as he notices her tears. He quickly wipes her tears with his thumbs. His heart completely aching feeling like he’s done something wrong. She looks up at him her eyes full with glossy tears as she smiles at him.” Ive never loved someone the way I love you matt…never, and I-i just can’t wait to start a life with you.” She says as she can’t pull the bug smile that’s plastered on her face off she searches his face for his expression, waiting. he looks up at her and smiles just as big as the smile that’s on her own. “I love you more than anything sweet girl” he says pulling her into a warm embrace, his hands finding her back to rub and soothe her as she lets her emotions take her over. They stay like that tangled, tears, laughs and smiles the only thing that can be heard echoing in the room. together.

since you're a cass fan, what makes you think dick is the fav? i love them both ofc but just tryna improve my understanding of the dynamics between the family. i've heard that cass and damian are the favorites? and jason? though apparently jason is only in fanon and ahh im just kinda confused im so sorry for the stupid questions

Trust me, no question about comics is stupid!! It's impossible to know everything (and I'm relatively new myself haha), so don't feel bad about asking anything. Plus I love answering asks :)).

The question of 'who is Bruce's favourite?' is always subject to personal interpretation, though. Lots of factors - what a person has read, which character they like, what interpretation they have of Bruce - go into who someone thinks is Bruce's fav. Sometimes it's not even a question of pure canon, but a question of theme. Which character being Bruce's fav is the most narratively compelling? To me, that's Dick - their relationship has the most history, the most depth, and frankly I prefer one of Batman's successors (who to me is Dick or Cass only) being his favourite.

Cass being the fav is compelling too, but not as compelling to me as her not being the fav. Her story, her quest to break free from White men's expectations (both David and Bruce's), makes me not want her to be tied to Bruce's love too much. So while there are great canon reasons for her being the fav, I don't think it's a necessary or even particularly interesting angle for Bruce-Cass.

I actually haven't heard many people argue for Damian being Bruce's fav (it's usually Dick or Cass in my circles), which goes to show how much opinions vary haha. Damian has great reasons too - his entire death/resurrection has strong Bruce-Damian moments - but this is the least interesting fav kid pick to me. He's been raised to think of himself as Bruce's fav, and his arc is about undoing that belief in legacy, being the heir, etc. So being Bruce's fav doesn't do much for him. Having the only bio kid be the fav isn't that interesting either.

Jason definitely is the most fanon-y pick, though Jay being Bruce's fav is genuinely interesting. It's just that Bruce's love for Jason is a lot about the dead kid he used to be, and also half of why Jason is so obsessed with Dick is because he knows Bruce is obsessed with him. So in a roundabout way my preferred Jason-Dick dynamic hinges on Jason not being Bruce's fav. But I'm not well-read on Jason, I think some Jason fans might have good reasons for him being the fav.

These are all my interpretations of these characters, and the fun about reading comics is growing to develop your own opinion about questions like this! To me Bruce's fav isn't a strict right/wrong answer, I'm like one well-written meta away from changing my mind. But I hope this clarified my thoughts on the question!

So hard to be a Lalonde liker in a Strilondes society. Not even as a jab at people who enjoy fun family stuff (same) but the way people will talk about Rose being So Dirkcore and conveniently ignore that Rose by design has more in common with Roxy. The fact that there's mountains of analysis for Dirk and Rose and like none for the Lalonde's pains me. What do you mean you hate tragic mother/daughter narratives?

Like Rose and Roxy revolve around each other Literally from the beginning of the story. Act 6 Rose and Roxy spend a great bulk of their time thinking about each other and looking forward to seeing each other. Their addiction narratives mirror each other!!! The way that Roxy encapsulates everything Rose hated about her mother (the wizards, the drinking, the enthusiasm!) while entirely recontextualizing her mother's existence for Rose. There's something about Rose drinking in an attempt to understand her at the same time that Roxy is going sober that gets to me a little. I think there's stuff too about how Rose can come to cope with her and understand her own childhood neglect via spending time with Roxy, in the same way that Roxy can learn that her mom is like. A flawed human being. I don't know. I think there's stuff there that goes so gravely underappreciated By The Masses. They're so interesting *shakes you* love the Lalonde's with me

Luo Binghe leaned over the desk, examining the mess of ink and papers, scrolls from the library rolled out haphazardly across the edges of the desk, stacks of prose and poetry copied in Shen Yuan’s shaky handwriting. The topmost stacks were already a bit neater, with Shen Yuan staring with single-minded focus as he moved the brush, trying to imitate the graceful strokes of the original texts. His own work was a mess of ink, not even bothering to let the ink dry properly before he would throw new pages on top. He gripped the bowl of ink in his right hand, held close to his work, both hands stained with the stuff, and Luo Binghe could see smudged black hand prints on the sleeves of his dark robes, a smear of ink across one cheek.

He took a moment to marvel at the fact that, despite the mess on himself and his work, Shen Yuan somehow managed to keep the scrolls he was copying from getting dirty. The amazement was short-lived, though, quickly overtaken by notice of just how tired he looked.
