Day 62!! Officially Starting Month 3!!

the dynamic of the tav I'm playing and Minthara is gonna be SO fun because like imagine the scrawniest little half-drow girl anyone's ever seen who is drow on her father's side (disgusting) and was mostly raised by her human side so she hasn't been around many drow in general and has never met a female drow. and like all she'd hear about female drow from the people around her is like, bad terrible things probably so she's just living her whole life like "ok I have to be extra good all the time forever then" and then she does the absolute worst job she can conforming to drow gender norms (possibly on purpose) and becomes a wizard of all fucking things and she's just gonna be a scrawny little good girl wizard forever so that no one thinks she's scary

and then brainworms happen and she's gotta go save all these people from the goblins like a good little girl and uh oh she finds out that there's a drow lady meeting these goblins and she's like 👀 despite it all and Minthara ends up being the first female drow she's ever met in her entire life and when she meets her, uh oh, she IS being scary and mean and threatening to mutilate and torture people uh oh every story she's ever heard is right

and the second Minthara notices her, its like

like "uh oh, the scary mean (and hot) drow lady you just met immediately notices you and grabs you by the brain and caresses it, then shows you a psychosexual interaction she had with the most deranged person in the world" all before Minthara even verbally acknowledged her and she's just like

and uh oh, now the scary drow lady she just met is immediately after that telling her they're going to slaughter the tieflings together and you know what, maybe if Karlach wasn't behind her and she wasn't at a terminal stage of "gotta be a good girl" syndrome, then she would because the thing she's been scared of her entire life is actually very hot and also instead of being scary at her, tried to take her by the hand (brain) and lead her to glory without hesitation. maybe she could have been convinced or strong armed into it

but you know, I'm not being evil yet and now Halsin is telling this very confused little half drow that she has to kill all the goblin leaders, including Minthara and you know what, maybe she did think she did it, or maybe she noticed Minthara was still breathing and just kept her mouth shut and was like "Yup, they're all definitely dead" and time passes and she continues her adventures and all and is just wondering what happened to that drow lady who she left unconscious in a pile of dead goblins after having the most confusing interaction with in her entire life.

and then she finds that scary mean (and hot) drow lady again several days or even weeks later, after having some time to process her confused feelings and probable attraction, but resigning herself to it not being something that's gonna come up again

and when she meets Minthara again, who lived up to being all the terrifying things that she was supposed to be the first time meeting, Minthara's looking like

Doing a Shadowheart run and romancing Lae'zel is fun and games until I get to act two and Lae beats the everloving shit out of me

god. okay. i've been looking for an excuse to talk about istorros. so i'm gonna take this as my sign to talk a little about him.

the real answer is sort of funny, because in my current file, he's romancing gale, so the last person he's technically kissed is gale. but story-wise, astarion, because of a bunch of funny shenanigans that happened behind the scenes.

It's been long enough so I decided I was finally ready to dip back into bg3 and yes I HAVE started another playthrough too but I'm also trying to finish my second campaign first bc I haven't actually finished the game more than once yet lol

i just played bg3 for like 2 hours and the fight in front of balthazar's door was so..... underwhelming??? 😭 i remember struggling so much w it and this time im doing tactician and it was like. i didnt even struggle in fact i intentionally skipped some turns just to give the undead a little chance for fun

Kinda wish that dlc where you play as sksw Zelda actually got made. Imagine it had the memory recovery system of Breath of the Wild. That would be so freaking sick, but Nintendo doesn't have the balls. The implications of what happened during the war between Hylia and Demise is honestly horrific. In the opening cutscene with the cave paintings, it showed a LOT of people just being straight up BURNED. Hylia definitely saw a lot of that. So... in theory, Zelda was ALSO subjected to that, AGAIN. SKSW ZELDA HAS WAR PTSD. IM TELLING Y'ALL. And to relive all of that at the ripe ol age of seventeenish... is not good for the psyche. Nobody talks about her trauma enough, and it makes me big sad. ALSO. If I'm remembering correctly, Zelda's way of speaking sorta changed? Like... uhhmmmdjdj...

You can't convince me something didn't fundamentally change in her brain. Is this a stretch??? WHY IS SHE TALKING LIKE THATT??? gosh, the agnst potential here is CRAZY. Like. Be Link. Save the world or whatever, and now your girlfriend is suddenly spitting out philosophy and talking like a poet out of nowhere. That'd be kinda disorienting. Even more disorienting is having the memories of a past life along with your own. Like, uh... what if she asked Link about something she thinks happened, and he's just like... "Huh?" And she'd just be like, "Oh, that happened when I was Hylia, nvm."

ALSO IMPA!??!?!? like she DEFINITELY had a close relationship with her as Hylia maybe, I headcanon she saw Impa as a daughter, and then the roles got swapped when she became Zelda. Or... oh God PLEASE DONT MAKE THIS A PEARL AND ROSE QUARTS SITUATION PLEAAAHAHEEESEEEE 🙏🙏

Anyways. During that journey, she definitely grew attached to Impa, especially because she already knew her in a past life, which is kind of a special connection my dudes. And then BOOM she disappears. Bye bye warrior woman you will be missed dearly.

You'd met Terry on a random Friday after your long shift at the hospital, at the coffee shop across the street from court, where you'd accidentally taken his tall black coffee, thinking it was your tall extra vanilla latte. One sip from the drink, and your face screwed into that of disgust and disappointment, until you turned the cup and saw it wasn't your name scribbled on it.

"I think that was my drink, darling." He'd commented, and you nearly dropped the cup at the sight of him. A brown henley shirt on, worn jeans, curls half slicked back to keep tame for a day of work. The gun on his hip that had made you nervous until your eyes locked on his badge.

"I'm so sorry, officer! I've been at the hospital for the past 24 hours, just needed a pick me up before heading home...", you tried to explain, but he just waved it off, giving you a reassuring smile.

"Please don't worry, it's an honest mistake. Although I should probably ask, you're not driving home are you?" At your nod, he let out a small sigh. "Please, don't do that, let me order you an Uber or something, so you'll get home safe."

You blushed at this stranger's worry for you. "I'll be fine, officer, thank you though. Grabbing your coffee, you apologized again and made your way out.

The next time you'd met Terry was at your place of work. SVU had been called in for a young woman, and they'd sent Terry, you recognized him instantly and blushed. But at first he didn't seem to notice you, probably wrapped up in whatever the case was.

On his way out with his colleague, Captain Curry, he stopped at the nurses station where you were stood, writing in the shart of another patient you'd been visiting.

"Dr. y/l/n?" You turned your head to look in the direction of where your name had been called from.

"Officer, what can I help you with?"

"It's detective, actually. Anyway, I'm happy to see you managed to get home last week. I was a bit worried when you said you'd drive."

You blushed again, looking at the floor in embarrassment as he told his colleague he'd be right behind her. Then you felt his finger lift your chin up to look at him.

"If you're not working too late tonight, I'd love to take you out on a date." He confessed.

"I'd love to. Why don't we meet here, and we can go out for dinner?"

Pulling out a card from the inside of his jacket, scribbling his personal number on the back before handing it to you. "Call me when you're done, doctor," he said, leaning over to kiss your cheek before he walked out.

Yeah, you were officially down bad for this man.

Mom Plays BG3: Ep.4 - “Uh, hello? We have Cheese?”

Today was a pretty chill day. We both had the day off and I went with her to the store. Since in-game she found a bunch of sausage and cheese we decided to put together a little makeshift charcuterie board for when we play. We also just finished episode 15 of New Girl.

Anyway.

Today’s accomplishments:

She took down Anders and the other fake paladins.

She literally has the weirdest luck. Like, she had a +2 advantage to read Aradin’s body language and failed that intelligence check because she had to roll a 10 and got a 3… but she succeeded to detect his thoughts with a -1 disadvantage and rolled a 16.

Mom: (after failing the first check) “What? Oh… the other option doesn’t look good for me… BUT I HAVE TO TRY!”

She has gotten down the whole taking turns thing pretty well. Only thing is she doesn’t use anything but her weapons. She’d rather use her crossbow instead of any spells. And I don’t think she really understands bonus actions yet… but she’s been winning all of the battles on her own, so whatever works.

She learned about Wyll’s pact with Mizora 😬

She was pretty quiet throughout that whole interaction. She talked to the other companions before talking to Karlach or Wyll.

Shadowheart: “Although I must admit his new look is rather… dashing.”

Mom: 😏

Went over and talked with Wyll. She got 3 approvals from him!!

Wyll: “Mizora would have to let me out of the pact willingly… We would have to out-bargain her, but we have nothing but the clothes on our backs and the tadpoles in our heads.”

Mom: “Um, hello? We have Sausages and cheese?! And wine?!”

Me: “Wine and dine Mizora?”

Mom: “Uh, yeah!?”

Called Wyll a handsome devil lol

A big fan of Karlach’s dance moves. Just giggles whenever she sees it

I asked her what she thought of Mizora.

Mom: “She reminds me of that one girl in Ouran Highschool Host Club. She just pops up out of the ground… ruins everybody’s day.”

We went and talked to Dammon.

And that’s where we left off so far :)

I did ask her what she thought of the characters. She really likes all of the girlies and Wyll.

Mom: “Shart, I feel, has the most sense of urgency. She just wants us to focus and get the tadpoles out. Lae’zel is also very no nonsense, gets things done, very determined, and I feel like Karlach is going to be that way, too. Wyll is a really good guy in the same way I felt about Captain America in the first movie. Any movie, really. He’s just a really good guy and does the right thing. But with Gale, he doesn’t have that same sense of urgency about the tadpoles. He’s just here because we invited him. Astarion… I don’t know much about him… yeah, I don’t know much about him.”

She doesn’t understand that Gale is just a chill guy 😔
