Chloe update (it's not grim, it's just not entirely happy)
She's doing okayish
She's struggling to walk at the moment. This all started back in the first week of August when we noticed her walking strangely, and she went downhill fast initially with not eating and not sleeping. Then we found the eye infection and we thought, great, that's probably the problem! It's affecting her balance which probably accounts for the funny walk, and an infection means her body is out of whack which explained the not eating and the not sleeping, so she had surgery and lost the eye
She was recovering okay, she's an old lady after all so she wasn't going to bounce back immediately. Sleeping better and eating better, and she started to gain weight back
But then she was clearly still limping, and she started not wanting to put weight on the back right foot at all. Didn't react with pain, didn't flinch or recoil or bite or try to get us to stop prodding and stretching it. Still reacts to stimulus so it's not paralysed. The limp got more pronounced
Then Barney died
She stopped using the leg altogether, she tries to keep it tucked up under her belly all the time. She stopped eating again, the vet said grief response to missing Barney. She stopped pooping, we thought maybe it was all the pain medications cause god knows that happens to me when I'm having bad pain flares
Yesterday she couldn't use the other back leg either. Couldn't stand up, she fell out of her little bed and onto her back and she just lay there like a turtle with her limbs flailing in the air, couldn't get back onto her tummy
The vet got her to poop yesterday, and she was ravenous for dinner AND snacks AND breakfast. She's struggling to use the leg today but she's trying! She's very clearly got energy and she's also very clearly frustrated and angry that she can't mobilise. She wants to walk around! She doesn't want to lie down and wait for death!
But I don't know if I'm just being selfish with her. Yesterday we went to the vet with the full expectation that the vet would look at us and say "I'm really sorry, but there's nothing else we can do. It's time" and so leaving with her in my arms still alive threw my emotional balance right out of whack. I'd spent the drive prepping myself for the conversation. I burst into tears the moment the vet took us into the room.
I don't know what I'm doing! I don't know if, maybe if Barney hadn't left us so abruptly and so painfully, maybe it would've been a different conversation! But I don't know how to cope with the idea of losing both of them so I don't know. I don't know if I'm being selfish. I look at her and I see my little fighter, who never backed down from anything bigger than her, and I see her spirit fighting. Barney was so quiet at the end. I can't believe the vets would send me on a wild goose chase to other specialists if they didn't think it was worth it and it was just prolonging her misery
Anyway. She's got an abdominal scan next Wednesday. If she's safe after that for more extensive sedation we might consider leg and spine x-rays but even if we find something causing her limp, she probably can't handle another extensive surgery. And what would that surgery get her? Another six months of life? Would that be worth it if she's in pain from recovery the whole time? She's so skinny from all the weight she's lost, I can feel her spine and her hips and I hate it
This got long. I'm sorry if you read this far, I needed to get it out and I can't say any of it out loud without immediately bursting into tears

Tumblr media
yourusername THANK YOU TO MY TEAM, ALL THE REDBULL FANS AND MY TEAMMATE MAX (sorry to beat ur ass lol) MY FIRST VICTORY IN FORMULA 1 I LOVE YOU GUYS
view all comments
username1 Chill girlie, it's just a sprint race win
username2 And people were shitting on Redbull for dropping Checo for a rookie 😭 you showed them, been on the podium almost every weekend and got the first win so quick
carlossainz55 Congrats 👏 🥇
↳yourusername THANK YOU 💪
↳username3 Carlos and Y/n are literally the only drivers who managed to beat Max this season and may I add she's a rookie
username4 Redbull knew what they were doing
redbullracing Our golden girl🏆
↳yourusername 💙💙
maxverstappen1 It was my pleasure to see you win💪
↳yourusername Get ready to see it more often
username5 I wonder how Lando feels knowing that a girl rookie got a win before him
↳username6 same thing happened last year when Oscar won sprint 😭 guess he won't do anything about it
↳username4 He's crying probably lmao
username7 📞God's calling he says we should have more girls in Formula 1
charles_leclerc A victory in your rookie year is always special🥳🥳
↳yourusername I love it 😭
oscarpiastri Party when?
↳yourusername After I win the race tomorrow 😇 unless you can tell Lando to get his shit together and try to beat me
username5 I love the fact that Y/n and Oscar are friends, Oscar is friends with Lando, and for some reason Y/n and Lando seem to hate each other
username8 I've heard there's some story behind the whole Y/n Lando thing 😭
username6 WHAAAAAT?
username8 So apparently when they were kids, like 15 or smth, one of them had a crush on the other one, but it didn't work out hence enemies now
username6 I'll assume Lando had a crush on Y/n cuz there's no way one could have a crush on a 15yo Lando Norris lmao
username9 And here I was thinking Y/n was just angry about how Lando almost crashed into her a few races ago
username10 sameeee lmao it was so funny to see them argue in the paddock
username9 Yeah and seeing them the weekends after this incident I was like miss girl just likes to hold grudges over things that happen in F1 from time to time lmao

landonorris do better next time then lol
username3 LANDO HAHAHAAH
username4 His villain era starts
yourusername Anyway I'm glad to be your motivation
username5 No cuz I'd also love to see Y/n and Lando on the podium together
↳username6 Y'all talk about the podium together but I'd love to see them in the cool down room together lmao
username5 That'd be gold man, I'd pay millions to be a fly in the room if it ever happened
username7 @/yourusername stop pretending you're not in love with Lando
username7 Actually guys stop pretending you're not in love with each other @/yourusername @/landonorris
↳username8 THIS FEELS SO PERSONAL LMAO
Tumblr media
username1 I love a good enemies to lovers story
username2 ARE THEY OKAY?
username3 I saw a video of Max being at the party so I assumed Y/n was there also BUT THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED
username4 Nah cuz why's the kiss so passionate 😭
username5 girl is living the Wattpad life
username6 now she isn't rejecting him 👀
↳username7 you mean HE isn't rejecting HER now
username8 Do you know something we don't? 🤨
username7 actually yes, Max as in Lando's Max (not Y/n's Max) went live on Twitch yesterday and he said something along the lines of young Lando rejecting young Y/n
username8 Nahhhh this is even better now
username9 I just know that other drivers will make fun of them after this
username10 I wonder how will they act now? Will they pretend the video doesn't exist?
↳username11 I feel like nothing will change, same hatred, same rivalry (even more now after both of their wins)
username12 I assume it was just a moment of weakness induced by the emotions
username11 And alcohol
username13 there's no way it didn't end in the hotel bed lol
username14 I'm tired of pretending I wasn't waiting for this to happen
username15 it feels like a fever dream lmao

username3 Ladies and gentlemen, Lando 'I don't wanna mature' Norris has matured
username4 God my brain can't comprehend what the hell happened
carlossainz55 The IT couple 👏🏆
↳landonorris of course
↳username5 Seems like they've been teaching Carlos the gen z expressions 😭
username6 I will miss the rivalry between them
↳username2 you really think it'll end?
username6 Yeah they'll go soft on each other
username2 Y/n is the second most competitive on the grid after Max, I don't think the rivalry between her and Lando will end 😂
maxfewtrell Finally
↳yourusername My 15yo self would say the same if she ever knew
maxverstappen1 @/landonorris pls don't affect her performance

yourusername How could you betray me like this!!
maxverstappen1 I like maccas, it convinced me
maxverstappen1 But we're all very happy for you if that makes it any better
yourusername Let's say it does...
landonorris i say we should beat his ass on the next race
yourusername I agree, it's settled 🏁 Max Emilian Verstappen, get ready to from now on forever be behind a mclaren and your fellow redbull

❥ remus lupin x fem!reader
❥ summary; you and remus can't be left alone.
❥ warnings; celebrity!au & soc. media!au
❥ a/n; inspired by taylor swift's "slut!". this is short af and it sucks, i'm sorry. but i wanted to finish it so badly......... hope u enjoy it anyway, ily yallll
Tumblr media
the sun shone bright, its rays gently falling on your wet skin as you watched him swimming in your pool.
it was the first time remus came to visit you to los angeles as you've been in london thousand of times and wanted to show him the beauty your state has to offer. he seemed to like it so far, taking some rest from rainy england in sunny california.
the golden liquid you poured into two wine glasses almost matched the color of his hair as he swam from one end of the pool to another — to you. you handed him one of the glasses and he took it from you with a smile on his face. your fingers brushed with his, sending electricity through your entire body.
"to being young," said remus.
you nodded. "to being young."
clink, clink.
all you needed was him.
——————————————————————
later that day, remus took you out for dinner. you believed you've been in every single restaurant in l.a. but your boyfriend proved you wrong.
the moment you walked in, you felt almost everyone's eyes on you. anxiety rushed through your body. almost as if remus could feel it, he gave you a reassuring squeeze and the weight on your shoulders suddenly dropped.
he lead you to an empty table by the window and pulled out your chair. you sent him a smile before sitting down and he took a seat opposite to you.
that was when you made the mistake to look around, locking eyes with numerous people who weren't very excited to see you and remus together.
"ignore them, dove," remus spoke, reading the menu. "they're just jealous of how beautiful you look tonight."
you knew that wasn't the truth but you appreciated him trying enough not to say anything about it anymore. you nodded and picked up the menu and did your best to ignore the glares.

@celebrityupdates well, who would've thought! actress y/n y/l/n and "the marauders" bassist remus lupin were spotted together yesterday on a date and then left together hand in hand.

@user6346873 wasn't she literally dating sirius black like a week ago? bffr girl 💀
-> @siriusblack no, you bffr, she wasn't.
@remuslupinsgf NOO REMUS WHY. she'll cheat on you like she did on everyone else.
-> @user2578584 name one person she cheated and give me a proof
-> @remuslupinsgf whatever. her movies suck anyway
@user742795853 slut.
okay, maybe reading the comments of this post wasn't the best idea, you thought to yourself as if it wasn't completely obvious.
it was the morning after your date with remus and you couldn't understand how these pictures were up already. doesn't the media have better things to do instead of not respecting your privacy and talking about whos hand you're holding?
what also made you angry was that none of the comments seemed to be mentioming the fact that remus recently broke up with someone. you, on the other hand, hadn't been in a relationship for six months.
not that you wanted everyone to attack your boyfriend but you'll be the one to pay the price for the things you two have been doing together. it wasn't fair.
"what got you upset like that?" you jumped at the sound of remus's deep voice from his spot beside you. you glanced at him, your eyes softening at how beautiful he looked lying in your bed with his hair all messy.
"nothing," you mumbled, turned off your phone and placed it at your bedside table. you sighed and got up from the warmth of your covers (and remus's body) before saying, "i'm gonna go grocery shopping. there's absolutely nothing in here. you want something?"
"i'll go with you."
"i'd rather go alone. i'll be right back."
and then you left him there, in your bedroom with confusion written all over his pretty features.
——————————————————————
there was no point in keeping your relationship a secret. everyone knew. the picture of your and remus's faces were plastered on the front page of every magazine in north america and united kingdom (remus's friend james said so). still, you tried your best to spend as little time as possible with your boyfriend in public.
unfortunately, as soon as you left the gates of your property to meet remus, you were blinded by the harsh flashes of the cameras. it took your brain a second to register what was going on. remus was waiting there. his two bodyguards were trying to keep the paparazzi away from the two of you.
"y/n!"
"y/n! over here!"
"y/n, what's your message to the haters?"
"y/n, did you hear—"
"i'm sorry," remus spoke loudly so you could hear him well through the voices of the yelling men. "they followed me all the way from hollywood boulevard to here," he reached for your hand and interlinked his fingers with yours. "we couldn't shake them off."
before you could even open your mouth to reply, you were interrupted.
"remus! there's a rumour y/n has been hooking up with sirius black. what do you have to say to that? is it true?"
he completely ignored the question. he knew it wasn't true. you knew he knew.
remus got the door of the car for you and waited for you to get in before shutting it close. when he took a seat next to you and kissed you a "hello" before saying, "you look beautiful tonight", it was easy to forget all about the reality.
——————————————————————
you both were invited to the met gala which took place the very next week. the theme this year was victorian england so you were wearing a pink-white dress with poofy skirt, holding an umbrella of the same colors in your right hand and remus's hand in your left. your eyes were practically glued to him. he looked so handsome in his white shirt, which he had a vest suit over, and dark grey pants. everyone seemed to think so.
while posing for photos on the stairs, remus suddenly turned into you. his face was, out of the blue, too close to yours. you could see it in his eyes, feeling like you could read his mind.
"it's a big mistake," you said, though your smile said otherwise. "it might blow up in your pretty face."
the voice in your head was screaming at him.
do it anyway!
and he's going to.

Everything you said about the Sonic movies is true and you're so real for it. I remember getting to that one part in the Knuckles show and turning it off right after because... what the hell LMFAO??
And like, I'm sure we all expect Sonic and his friends to not be 100% themselves in the movies, and I know he's supposed to be more of a kid, but them removing the core part of anti-authority is just... boring. Where is the sauce. Where is the Sonic?!
That's a part I like about your comic so far btw. Like, yes, G.U.N. SEEMED "friendly" at first, but secretly having inhibitor cuffs ready for Shadow? How these G.U.N. soldiers arresting them are totally okay with insulting him, and likely represent many more in the organization? Chef's kiss. Amazing work. BRAVO! So much shared with so little effort. I hope you're already proud of what you've written because it's so refreshing (and also just thank you for speaking up about the problematic aspects of the filmverse because its hard to find sometimes)! ❤️
You're speaking to my heart you know that? Thank you very much for this ask. Was too wiped out after work yesterday to answer it, but now that I am, I'd like to give you a big ol "YAAAAAAY" because goddamn, you're right. Where IS the sauce. Where IS the Sonic.
I think what you said at the end, "thank you for speaking up about the problematic aspects of the filmverse because its hard to find sometimes," is pretty sad. It makes me sad to think about the reasons why that might be besides general fandom nonsense.
I think that, because of that era older Sonic fans have been through in which there were a ton of youtubers and game journalists and stuff dumping a buncha bad faith criticisms into the internet about Sonic and influencing Sega/Sonic Team to change Sonic for THEIR sake, we've kinda collectively become this terrified, shaking little dog when it comes to actual GENUINE criticism regarding anything to do with this series. The Sonic fandom, from what I've seen since being here (2003) has this slight toxic positivity aspect to it. Slight.
This is pretty apparent when it comes to the Sonic movies, which are okay at best, but if anyone says this then a bunch of people are going to come marching into your inbox or comments making up a bunch of excuses as to why it's actually totally fine that there's no fleshed out women in three movies and a tv show. As one person once said to me: "Enjoy the boys and stop complaining about the girls"
Stop complaining? We complain all the time about games, why do the movies get a pass?
Well! Anyway! Thank you for reading Infested! Sonic the Hedgehog is braver than any G.U.N. soldier! Sorry for rambling!

Yui sighed and tossed her uneaten apple on to the tray with a scoff. Her appetite had been long gone after the sight of the pitiful people entering the cafeteria. people entering the cafeteria.
Pathetic
Yui knew she wasn't being mean, she was just being honest. Most people took it the wrong way, almost as if they are too fragile and delicate to accept the truth. So what if she called a random girl's outfit ugly? She was just helping her; she needed to know how she looked before walking around the school like that. You got in her way? Well, you shouldn't have.
If you say something bad about her, or even try to argue back when she calls you out for something, that's when the real trouble starts. She'll make sure you regret it. She doesn't care what people think of her, as long as they know who's in charge and who's in the right.
"Yui Soobin is throwing a party, we should go" her friend interrupted her thoughts
"Sure" was all Yui replied, her tone still indifferent and uncaring.
Chaeyoung groaned as she saw some girls sitting at her boyfriend's table. "Look at those bitches, flirting with him knowing damn well I'm dating him. How could they flirt with a taken man?"
At that, Yui rolled her eyes. The cherry on top was seeing Wonyoung agree with Chaeyoung's assessment of the situation.
"It's not the girls fault Chaeyoung but your boyfriend's. He's enjoying this because if he didn't he would be sitting here smiling at you, not them" Yui said, her tone bored. Then she turned her attention to Wonyoung, who immediately turned away. "And if I were you, I'd be more worried about the people you call friends rather than those girls."
Chaeyoung furrowed her eyebrows she was clearly confused. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Yui just gave her a fake smile "Ask your boyfriend, not me"
Chaeyoung turned to Wonyoung, her eyebrows furrowed "What did she mean by that?"
Wonyoung shied away from Chaeyoung's gaze and simply shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know, maybe she didn't mean it. You know how Yui is"
The brunette girl shook her head amused, the nerve of this girl
"What are you gonna do about this whole Bada situation" Wonyoung changed the topic
"I explained everything yesterday" Yui said with a smirk as she admired her new manicure. "Sieun is hopelessly in love with her. Lately, she's been pissing me off, so what's better than to completely destroy her?"
Wonyoung and Chaeyoung continued to smirk and laugh, their friend was truly something different
"Imagine seeing the girl you hate the most with your girl you love. Hope she enjoys her sad tragic ending" Yui pouted, her tone dripping with bitterness and hatred.
Her eyes scanned the room, searching for a certain tall girl, but she was nowhere to be found. "Where is she anyway?" she wondered out loud, only to be interrupted by a big slam on the table. The trio looked up towards the girl in front of them, their expressions now scowling and full of irritation.
Wonyoung stood up and went closer to the girl, who was a crying mess "Yah what the fuck do you think you're doing"
The girl didn't spare a glance at her, keeping her focus firmly on Yui. "You're gonna pay for this"
"Who the hell are you?" Yui barked, her patience was running slow
The girl felt all eyes on her as everyone in the room watched the drama unfold. She generally liked this kind of attention, but with this girl yelling at her like a psycho, no.
"I know you did that to Eunbi" she sniffled, unable to control her emotions. "Because of you, she is now expelled" she added through clenched teeth.
The three girls burst into laughter, but Yui suddenly stopped and gave her a sympathetic look as she tried her best not to laugh again. "I'm so sorry to hear that, but babe, I didn't do it" she said as she pointed at Chaeyoung.
Chaeyoung smirked and blew the girl a kiss "I did it, did she like it?"
The girl shook her head, shocked and unable to comprehend how they could enjoy this sort of thing. "You three are crazy. How do you enjoy making people suffer? Spreading rumors and lies about them. She got fucking expelled"
Wonyoung rolled her eyes as she sat down next to Yui. "We heard you the first time. We just don't care. She'll find another school, another teacher to mess with"
The girl pointed at Yui angrily, her eyes glowing with fury. "It's all your fucking fault, you stupid bitch."
Yui's expression darkened "If you don't want to get expelled as well, I suggest you remove your finger from my face right now."
The girl slowly lowered her hand, looking at the three girls one last time as she left the cafeteria. Yui's eyes never left the girl's silhouette as she departed, she would make sure to finish the job.
"What a crazy bitch" Chaeyoung scoffed "Who does she think she is to tell us what to do?"
Wonyoung snickered "The way I don't even know who she is, that's how much she matters"
"She made me really mad" Yui said clenching her jaw, she noticed that her hand began to shake from how angry she was "Someone needs to teach her a lesson"
"Do you want me to do something" the blonde suggested "I can see if anyone has any dirt on her"
"No need" she shook her head. She could easily order her friends to get this done but where's the satisfaction in that. This was her problem she had to take care of
Yui suddenly stood up and grabbed her bag "I need to do something" she them a kiss in the process in which they returned
"Where are you going?" Chaeyoung asked
"I'll tell you later, Wonyoung I'll see you in english" she replied and then headed towards the hallway.
She tightened her pace, her blood boiling with rage. The atmosphere was so tense that she could feel others sensing her anger and making way for her, as if they knew what was coming.
She looked around the hallway, not seeing her anywhere. Yui groaned, how did she lose her so fast. Thinking where she could've gone, she saw her two friends at the lockers. Yui approached Minnie and Somin who were engrossed in conversation "Did you two see a loser crying around here?" she asked, but when she saw their confused expressions, she groaned and added "black hair, not that tall, she was wearing an ugly yellow hoodie."
Minnie nodded immediately. "Oh Jinsol, yeah she went to the bathroom-"
Yui didn't wait for her to finish and sped off to the bathroom, she needed to get this done. She entered the empty bathroom and closed the door behind her, the sound of it slamming echoing through the room. Taking slow steps towards the corner of the counter, she thought about sitting down, but after seeing the wet surface, her mind changed.
She leaned against the wall with her arms crossed, waiting for the girl to come out. Her patience had reached its limit. She wanted to make her pay for her actions. However, she had no intention of causing any physical harm to the girl, that wasn't her style. But a little reminder and warning how she should behave wouldn't hurt her
The girl finally came out, her head hanging low, not noticing that Yui was there. She threw something in the trash and went to the sink. When she looked at herself in the mirror she flinched when she saw Yui standing right by her side.
"L-leave me a-alone" Jinsol stuttered, turning on the faucet, hoping that the running water would help hide her trembling voice.
Yui's response was nothing short of cruel. She smiled and said "Now, why would I do that?"
She came closer to her side "You had fun screaming at me and my friends didn't you huh? In front of everyone you acted real brave, but now that we're alone you're stuttering like a pathetic bitch that you are"
Then, not giving her time for a response, she smacked her bag which was left on the counter, and everything fell into the sink. "Look at me when I'm talking to you" Yui commanded, grabbing her arm and turning Jinsol towards her
“What the hell? Are you out of your mind?” She yelled back, grabbing the now wet things and stuffing them into her bag.
Yui’s eyes followed the movements of her, but something caught her attention, an opened pink package with two test sticks inside
Pregnancy test, god must be on her side today
Smirking, Yui tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear, Jinsol could only watch, afraid of her next move. She sighed as she cupped Jinsol's cheeks. "I feel bad for you, I really do" she said in a soft, gentle tone that completely contradicted her usual persona "The way you crave for so much attention, it's so sad honestly"
She flinched when taller girl put her hands on her shoulders, her grip tightening "Don't let this take control over you again Jinsol, because if you do this shit again I will literally end you. Do you understand?"
Jinsol didnt speak, she didnt trust herself enough to say something afraid she'll break down
"Do you understand?"
"Yes" she mumbled, but Yui's expression didn't change. Her head remained tilted, as if urging Jinsol to continue
"Im sorry, it will never happen again" Yui smiled and took a step back
"Good girl, you can leave now don't waste my time" Jinsol nervously rushed to the door. She was gone in a flash, and Yui was alone again, or so she thought
When the door closed, she turned to the trash bin and saw, what she assumed the stick wrapped with toilet papers. Idiot. Yui scrunched her nose in disgust as she grabbed more toilet paper and took the pregnancy test. She unfolded the test and immediately saw two lines appearing on the stick.
"Baby on the way" she huffed a laugh, wrapping the pregnancy test with more toilet paper and tossing it into her bag. She looked in the mirror fixing her hair, fuck her friends for not telling her that she looked a mess.
A a tall girl got out of one of the stalls, making Yui pause. The girl gave her a small smile as she went to the sink. Yui held back and didn't make a move just yet, observing her from afar.
When she opened her bag to grab something Yui saw a familiar book "You read 'These violent delights'?"
The girl's eyes widened not expecting Yui to talk to her "Uhm yes- I just finished, so far it's my favorite romance"
Yui hummed, applying some lipgloss "Same" she already regrets for opening her mouth because now this girl won't stop talking
The younger girl smiled "My sister Bada loves to tease me about it, she's not a big fan of romance fantasy books"
At the name being mentioned Yui her regretment is long gone "You're Bada's sister?"
She nodded "Yes Im Eunchae, first year"
Yui smiled an idea popping in her head making this whole plan a lot easier "Well nice to meet you Eunchae, if you want I can give you the sequel, I have the book"
"Really?" Eunchae said in awe "Yes please, if you don't mind"
Yui chuckled, nodding. Poor girl "I'll give it to Bada she can give it to you"
Eunchae nodded excitedly, she didn't expect her to be this nice. Her friends were kinda wrong about her "Thank you- wait are you two friends?"
"Not yet" Yui mumbled zipping her bag, taking one last look at herself in the mirror, she added "See you around Eunchae"
Tumblr media
"Walk faster Wonyoung, you have long legs for a reason" Yui said, her tone annoyed. Currently they were sprinting to make it to english class. They would be right in time if Wonyoung didn't decide last minute to change her bow because she got the wrong shade of pink, stupid thing if you asked Yui, and she made sure Wonyoung knew. No one is paying attention to her dumb bow
Wonyoung pouted "My shoes are hurting me, you never cared if you're late, why now?"
Yui is 100% sure the reason she's gonna get a migraine is gonna be because of her friends stupidity "Use your fucking brain for once Wonyoung, I need to sit next to Bada and if I see that dumb blonde bitch sitting next to her start hiding your bow collection because I'll burn them"
Wonyoung gasped and covered the pink accessory with one hand. “You wouldn’t dare!”
She gave her a steely-eyed glare. “Don’t test me" she warned. Without waiting for her friend, she pushed the door open and stepped inside the class
All eyes were on her, but she couldn't care less. Her eyes darted around the class and finally landed on the captain sitting at the back of the room, busy with writing something, completely focused on that, unaware of the noise everyone else was making in the classroom.
The smug look on Yui’s face immediately fell when she saw the blonde girl she despises approaching Bada. With a snap of her fingers, she quickly caught Wonyoung’s attention and motioned her head towards Sieun. Wonyoung immediately understood the message and followed Sieun bumping hard into her, her body collapsing with a girl
Yui rushed to the back of the classroom and instantly sat next to Bada. Taking a deep breath, she exhaled sharply, that was close. She couldn't help but snicker when she saw Sieun’s face turn bright red as she realized who was sitting next to her crush. Yui gave her an apologetic, yet also mischievous smile
Bada groaned as her desk was nudged, causing her to make another mistake. She tilted her head expecting to see Sieun, who was usually seated there, but instead, she was surprised by the famous brunette girl smiling at her. This completely threw her off guard
"Hi, I'm Yui" she greeted her with a smile as she stretched out her hand.
The basketball player looked at the hand, then up at her, with a slight annoyance on her face. "...I know."
"Oh you've heard about me? That's cute" she tucked her hair with her hanging hand, her smile remained there, but inside she was fuming, leaving her hand open just like that who does she think she is
"Deep breaths, Yui... you've got this. Just don't let your anger take over" she reminded herself silently. The two girls couldn't have looked more opposite. Yui was dressed sharply, with a neatly matched uniform and perfectly styled hair. Bada was all sloppy, with loose buttons on her shirt and a messy ponytail.
It was like night and day.
Very hot, in her opinion, but that's for another time
"Not good things," Bada mumbled loudly enough for Yui to hear, hoping that will shut her up. But boy how wrong she was
"Aw, you know how to make a girl's heart flutter" Yui said with a mock offended tone and placed her hand on her chest. "Well, you know people like to talk" she said, "aren't you gonna introduce yourself?"
Bada dropped her pen with an exasperated sigh as she leaned her head towards her hand and rubbed her eyes. If she thought finishing her homework was hard, the parrot next to her was making it definitely harder "I don't think it's necessary considering you know me from twitter" she finally replied.
"Ah you got me there." Yui leaned closer, her expensive perfume filling Bada's senses. She smirked, noticing the girl's mistakes.
"Considering the multiple mistakes you're making, you really should have accepted my help." She said, her tone full with confidence
At that moment, the teacher stepped into the room, causing an immediate silence among the whole class. Some students suddenly rushed to their seats, others took their time
Wonyoung let out a cry when she noticed she has to sit with Sieun "Keep your distance please"
"Mistakes? Where?" Bada argued defensively, she kept a close eye on the teacher's movements.
"I literally just copied everything from Google"
Yui pointed out one of the answers. "Hamlet is a revenge tragedy drama, not a fantasy drama, Bada."
The way her name rolled from her lips sent a shiver down Bada’s spine. Yui's attention had shifted towards the class and the teacher as she began explaining, but Bada found herself unable to focus. You would have to be utterly foolish not to see that Yui is incredibly attractive. Even though she disliked her, she couldn't deny that she was one of the prettiest girls in school. Her elegance was undeniable, her back held straight, head up. It was hard to find even a single flaw in her. Well outside, because if you look inside she is the most evil person you'll ever meet
Bada didn't hate her, she just disliked the girl. She saw her actions to almost everyone
Yui sighed. "Your friends are staring... just like you" she said, keeping her face forward. "Well, they're glaring, but you're the only one keeping an eye on me."
She turned to face Bada, but the older girl didn't move "So what? Are you gonna spread rumors about me too"
As much as it annoyed her she was kinda enjoying this little game they were playing. "You're fun" she admitted with a grin. "I like you, so I will not spread rumors about you.
"However, if your friends continue to keep throwing glares my way, then I can't promise the same about them" she added, letting her tone get slightly louder to get them to stop. At these words, Bada's friends went to their phones
The lesson continued, Mrs. Park going on to explain more about Shakespeare's writing style and overall works. Yui yawned purposefully showing her growing boredom, while Bada found herself slowly and gradually spacing out, letting her mind wander to other places.
Yui glanced towards Bada, who had placed her hand on her chin and was staring intently in the direction of the windows. As she observed her, she began to notice how beautiful she actually is. Even better for her
"Alright, class, even though we have now learned about who William Shakespeare is, we must still do in-depth research and do projects about his works if we are to fully appreciate and understand them. You'll do them in pairs just how you're seated" Mrs. Park explained calmly.
Yui's eyes lit up at the mention of this task, and she began to grin smugly. This was going perfectly but Bada was not as happy about this news. She disliked the idea of being partnered with Yui, but she didn't have many other choices. The thought of spending more time with someone she didn't like was not something she looked forward to.
Ms. Park continued to address the class "You will need to delve thoroughly into the characters and their roles in the play and write your opinions and interpretations on their actions. Additionally, you must consider the plot progression and whether or not you agree with how the play ended,” she suggested. “The more information and details you include, the higher the chances are that you will receive a higher mark.”
Bada looked over at her best friend, Minah, and tried to convey her deep frustration by making a teary-eyed expression. Minah saw this and let out a small snicker while mouthing the words "good luck" to her.
She really needs it
Her attention returned to Yui who was telling her she was good with whatever, which prompted Bada to shrug. She eyed the list of plays which was written down on the board and quickly perused them.
"How about that one, Twelfth Night?" Bada asked, hesitantly, awaiting Yui's approval.
"Sure, that works for me." she replied, seeming satisfied with her choice
The teacher completed her rounds around the room, stopping at each desk to collect information regarding each individual's choice of play. Finally, she made her way over to Bada and Yui. "Bada, Yui, did you agree on any play"
Bada smiled "Uh yes, twelfth night"
Ms. Park's mouth became a thin line "Well, someone has already selected Twelfth Night. You need to choose a different play"
"Twelfth Night" Yui repeated giving her a sweet smile
Mrs Park being the nice teacher she is returned the smile "Im sure you heard me the first time Yui, your classmates already chose that one-"
Yui replied sharply to the teacher without a hint of hesitation "Yes, I heard you but I don't think you did. My partner and I have decided on Twelfth Night and we will have that one"
The girl stared at the teacher as if challenging her. If she wanted a quiet peaceful year, she should know what to do next. Everyone stopped their conversations and turned to the two girls and Mrs. Park. She attempted to force on a smile, but her displeasure was palpable.
"We don't mind changing it-"
"It's okay, Bada you girls can have Twelfth Night. Minah and Haechan can choose a different play" she suggested with a fake smile. She then looked at the other two students waiting for them to agree.
"What no, we got it first" Minah argued back, sendinf death glares to Yui
Mrs. Park clapped her hands together moving to the front "It's settled then. You two will complete your project on Julius Caesar, and we're all done here. Class dismissed."
"Can you believe that bitch, she stole our play, that fake ass-" Haechan covered Minah's mouth dragging her away. Knowing she's ready to fight Haechan chose peace for his mind today
"Let's go"
Yui got up from her seat, collecting her things and preparing to leave. Wonyoung was already waiting for her outside the classroom door.
Bada was slow to follow, but she quickly caught up and grabbed her arm. "Why did you do that" she hissed slightly towering over her
The shorter girl liked that
"I didn't do anything. I got the play that you wanted."
"It wasn't that serious" Bada said gritting her teeth "We could've changed it, Minah would get the one she wanted"
"Awh poor girl" Yui gave her a small, coy grin in response "Tell her Im not sorry"
She then took out a small letter from her bag and handed it to Bada. “Text me for the project, when you're free. We will then talk where we can study. I need to go now…”
She then fixed her skirt with a flirtatious grin. “Kisses.”
She left the class and walked away, leaving Bada all alone. She looked at the letter Yui had written for her, noticing her name written with a heart on the I. Her phone number below her name
"Man I can't wait to go home"
Tumblr media
Yui slammed her locker close after she grabbed what she needed. She leaned back, eyeing the principal's office. "Come on" she whispered to herself
"If she's pregnant, where's the bump?"
Yui was close to hitting her head against the lockers, she doesn't deserve this. Well either hers or Wonyoungs if she keeps asking dumb questions
Chaeyoung replied "And then you said you're going to apply for a scholarship," causing Yui to snicker.
"Come on, can they just get out already? I can't wait all day" Yui said, checking the time on her phone again.
Her plan was to go home and immediately go to sleep, but when she saw Jinsol with an older woman entering the principals office, she stayed, sleep can wait
Chaeyoung smirked eagerly "Now this is some juicy drama, I can't wait to see what happens to her."
Yui nodded in agreement, smiling mischievously. "Yeah, she had it coming after what she said to us."
She watched students go by in a monotonous manner. She received many greetings but paid little attention to them, not even returning the greetings back.
Then, a familiar voice called out, "Hi, sexies" wrapping her arm around Wonyoung's shoulder and leaning against her.
"So, Yui, I heard about your little plan with Bada," the girl smirked, nudging her
"Never do that again," she then threatened, making Somin roll her eyes. "And Chaeyoung, try to keep your mouth shut for once"
"Im sorry it slipped"
The three girls engaged in a conversation about Chaeyoung's boyfriend, to which Yui immediately became uninterested. She hoped her friend would open ner eyes and see the way he mistreated her, which was clear by the fact that he was openly cheating for everyone to see.
Her ears perked up when she heard the principals door open, the familiar black haired girl leaving the office with her annoyed mom behind her. Yui snapped her fingers making the girls stop their talking and look at her
"Girls it's my time to congratulate Jinsols mom on becoming a grandma" opening her bag, the japanese girl took the plastic bag, which in it was the pregnancy test
Somin gasped "Oooh nice, tell her to invite us to her gender reveal party"
The girl put on her angelic face and rushed over to Jinsol, appearing like a concerned friend who genuinely wants what was best for her. "Jinsol," she kept saying, "slow down- Jinsol."
Jinsol slowed her pace, allowing the girl to catch up. She looked at her with a confused expression as her mother followed.
"What do you want?" she asked, sounding surprised and slightly annoyed.
Yui nearly cursed the girl out for speaking to her that way. She had to keep up her act, though. "I've been looking for you all day," she spoke softly, hiding the contempt in her voice.
"If this is about what happened earlier, let it go please" Jinsol exhaled, hoping it had nothing to do with what she did.
Yui shoved the stick towards her, making sure both Jinsol and her mother could see the two lines, clearly visible.
"Are you crazy?" she demanded. "Why would you leave this here for everyone to see? You're lucky I'm a good friend and grabbed it before anyone else saw it."
Jinsol's face was as pale as a ghost as she saw the pregnancy test in Yui's hands. She felt her stomach churn inside, as if she was about to vomit everything she'd eaten for lunch. Those two lines had suddenly multiplied into four, then eight... she felt dizzy and like she would pass out at any moment.
She looked over at her mother, who was already staring at the test stick. Her mouth was so dry her lips felt like they were cracking. Her mind raced with thoughts and panic as she struggled to find an explanation. She could barely breathe, the pressure of the situation starting to feel like it was crushing her.
"Mom-" she reached for her hand but was rejected immediately. The older woman didn't even let her begin to speak and yanked her hand away with disgust.
"That's your mothe," Yui pretended to be shocked "Shit- I'm sorry, I thought you told her that you were pregnant!"
The older woman immediately looked at Jinsol, who was already crying "Mom please"
"Jinsol what is she saying? What is that pregnancy test" her mother's voice was cold as an ice and Jinsol felt like her knees will give up at any moment
Jinsol shook her head her tears falling "D-don't listen to her please I can-"
"You're going to be a grandma, Jinsol wanted to surprise you and tell you today, but..." Yui paused and narrowed her lips, attempting to gain sympathy for her actions. "The secret is already out! My apologies for ruining the surprise."
Yui grabbed Jinsol's hand, keeping a tight grasp. She wouldn't let go, despite the girl's attempts to pull it away.
"Congratulations, Jinsol," her mouth curled into a devilish smile "You are going to be an amazing mother"
Jinsol couldn't believe how cruel Yui could be. She looked as if she were going to jump at her and rip her head off.
Yui finally released her hand and gave her a sly wink before turning around to her friends. They were all in a fit of laughter
Behind her, she could hear the furious screams of Jinsol attempting to explain herself to her mother, who obviously refused to listen.
You can never win against Takahashi Yui. She should've known that

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BESTIE!!!

Summary:
Billy apologizes, Robin helps Steve with something, then she helps Billy with something.
Steve was standing against his car when he spotted Hargrove walking towards him. He planted his feet, crossing his arms over his chest and waited. It had been a couple of months since the fight at the Byers’ and they’d both done a good job avoiding each other.
He’d heard from Dustin that Max had told the gang Billy was sticking to his word and staying out of her way. The guy didn’t seem to hang around Tommy and his clique anymore and Steve wondered who he was hanging out with. He wasn’t sure why he wondered, but he did.
Hargrove stopped a couple of feet away, taking a deep drag on his cigarette before dropping it on the ground and crushing it with his boot. “Harrington.”
“Hargrove,” Steve said, his face showing none of the turmoil he was feeling inside. He wondered what had compelled him to press a finger to Billy’s chest that night, but he couldn’t get out of his head how warm and soft Billy’s skin had been.
“I took it too far that night, and for that I am sorry. My dad, um, my dad made it very clear that I needed to bring Maxine home and when you lied to me about it and wouldn’t let me take her with me, I saw red. That wasn’t your fault, but you have to agree that a thirteen-year-old girl had no business being alone with a bunch of boys at night in a house in the middle of nowhere.”
Steve felt his face heat up. “That’s not… I mean… I don’t…” he sputtered. What the fuck ?
“Yeah, I know that now, but you gotta admit it looked dodgy as hell. Anyway, you don’t have to forgive me or anything, but I wanted to say I’m sorry I made your face my punching bag.”
“Oh, um, okay.” Steve was having a hard time processing.
Billy nodded. “See ya.”
A car door slamming shut snapped Steve out of his trance and he realized Hargrove had left while he was staring into space. He heard the bell and swore under his breath, grabbing his bag out of his car before running towards the school.
The day passed in a daze and last period found Steve in the library for his tutoring session. His English teacher had arranged for someone from his AP class to help Steve with his college essays. Steve couldn’t ask Nancy anymore, obviously, things were too awkward. Part of him hoped it would be Billy Hargrove, though he doubted the new King of Hawkins High would want to spend more time with a washed out loser like Steve…
“Steve Harrington?” a decidedly female voice said next to him and he sat up, blinking.
“Yes?”
“Hi. I’m Robin Buckley. Mr. Crowder asked me to help you with your college essays.” Robin sat in the chair next to him, dumping her backpack in the chair next to her. She pulled out a purple pencil case that was bursting at the seams and turned to him expectantly. “Well?”
“Well, what?” Steve had no idea what was going on and he was sure it showed on his face. This girl would no doubt tell everyone he was an idiot.
“Show me. Your essay.”
“Oh, right.” Steve reached in his bag and pulled out a slightly mangled sheet of paper. He passed it to Robin and tried to ignore the face she made as she flattened the sheet with her hand. “Sorry,” he mumbled, looking down at his hands on the table.
“It’s okay.”
Steve felt her shrug then she started reading, a red pen at the ready. She read it slowly, clearly taking her time, and rereading it a few times as well. The amount of red marks on his essay made Steve wonder why he’d bothered at all.
Once she was done, she put her pen down and looked at Steve, an apologetic look on her face. “Okay, Steve. Um, it’s not all bad. You have some good ideas in there, but the execution is, um, shall we say, clunky.”
Letting out a groan that earned him a glare from the librarian, Steve crossed his arms on the table and hid his head in them. “I suck, I know.”
“Do you even want to go to college?” Robin asked, her voice muffled.
Steve shrugged. He was tired of his father yelling at him about his shit grades, his lack of prospects if he didn’t get into college, even how short-sighted he had been breaking it off with the Wheeler girl. Life sucked, and now he was kinda maybe having daydreams about what it would feel like to kiss Billy Hargrove.
“Ugh,” was the answer he gave Robin, lifting his head to peer at her. “My dad won’t shut up about it, threatens to cut me off if I don’t get in somewhere. But this study thing? Not sure it’s for me, yanno. Senior year is hard enough. From what all my teachers are saying, I’ll be lucky to graduate.”
“What are you going to do then? Work for your dad?”
“Ha!” Steve scoffed. “As if the great Richard Harrington, Jr. would stoop so low as to give his dumbass son a job in his successful empire.”
“Wow, okay… well, I work at Melvald’s on the weekend and they’re looking for a delivery boy. You have a car, you should apply. Don’t tell your dad and earn your own money.”
“Why are you helping me? I mean, you seem great, don’t get me wrong, but we don’t even know each other…”
“Everyone in the school knows who you are, Steve… but I don’t know.” Robin shrugged. “You don’t seem to have many friends and you look sad a lot.”
Steve had nothing to say to that. Her assessment was almost spot on. “I have friends…” he mumbled, embarrassed.
“Middle schoolers do not count, Steve, I don’t care what they tell you to get rides everywhere.”
“How do you know about that?” Steve sat back in his chair, staring. What the hell? Who was this girl and how did she know so much about him?
“I’m in the school band, dingus. I’m as good as invisible. And I’m very observant. For example, I saw you and Billy Hargrove have a chat this morning.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah. It surprised me because, last I’d heard, he was leaving you alone after he bashed your head in, last November.”
“He, um, he came to apologize for that, actually.”
“Nice. So… are you going to see him again?”
“What? What are you—no!” Steve looked around, checking to see if anyone was paying attention to them. Thankfully, the few students in the library seemed busy with their own things and they were far enough away that they wouldn’t have heard Robin. “No, it’s not like that,” he whispered furiously, inwardly shushing the little voice in his head saying that he would like it to be.
“Awww, you’re blushing… Your secret is safe with me.” Robin leaned closer and whispered, “I love a good enemies to lovers romance.”
Steve couldn’t make words, he could barely breathe, his mind stuck on a loop of ‘ whatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuck ’ until the bell rang, moments later, snapping him out of it. He heard someone walk in, the stomping of boots familiar as hell, and he whipped his head to look, even if he already knew. Throwing Robin a small smile, he grabbed his essay from the table and shoved it in his bag. “I have to go.”
He forced himself to walk past Hargrove on his way to the exit, nodding back when Hargrove nodded, and managed to stop himself from running all the way to his car. He sat in his BMW, shaking like a leaf, trying to get his breathing under control before the kids showed up.
*****
“What was that about, Bird?” Billy asked Robin as he sat in the chair Harrington had just vacated. He tried not to react to the residual warmth of the plastic, considering who had been sitting on it. He failed.
“Not sure yet, my sweet. Crowder asked me to help Harrington with his college essay, and, hoo boy, he needs all the help he can get.” She smiled at him. “How was your day since your little chat with our former king this morning?”
Billy groaned, low enough that the librarian didn’t hear, leaning back in the chair. “Ugh. Of course, you know about that.”
“I was literally in the parking lot, and watched the painfully awkward encounter with my own eyes when I was chaining my bike.”
“Painful is accurate.” Billy rubbed both hands over his face then looked at Robin. He knew he was lucky they’d found each other. The two resident queer secret besties.
The basketball team had had an away game a couple of weeks after Billy had arrived in Hawkins. Unlike the cheerleaders, the band traveled with them. As the new guy on the team, Billy’d been assigned the last bed available, sharing a room with the member of the marching band that no one wanted to room with.
Robin had told him as soon as the door had closed that she knew about his crush and that he needed to be more careful. Once Billy had recovered from the shock, they’d spend the night talking, exchanging stories and tips on how to appear less queer than they actually were. On the bus back to Hawkins, they’d gone into details about their current crushes, vowing to help each other. Billy had agreed to pose as Robin’s boyfriend in front of her parents, so they’d stop asking her about gross boys, and he was able to drop Robin’s name and keep Neil off his back—about the queer thing at least.
“I asked him what you said to him, and he said you had apologized.”
“I did.” Didn’t Robin say she had witnessed the interaction?
“Uh huh, that’s great, I’m proud of you, but wha—”
“Wow, you don’t have to sound so enthusiastic…” Billy deadpanned, hearing Robin’s complete lack of interest.
“Shut up. I asked him if he was going to see you again, and he blushed. He turned bright red, in front of my eyes, my sweet.”
“And?” Billy said, confused. What was Robin getting at?
“He didn’t deny it, he looked so flustered then you walked in and he ran off.”
“Again, and?”
“I think you should go to his house and, and, do that thing you do, you know, with your eyelashes and your mouth.”
“Flirting?”
“Yes, that. Go now, while he’s still all in a state. It’s your best chance.”
“Bird…”
“Fly, my pretty, go get your love,” Robin said, and she honest to god giggled.
Billy rolled his eyes but had no choice but to do what she said because she started shoo-ing him and the librarian was now looking in their direction.
He parked a couple of houses down from the Harringtons’ fancy mansion and made his way to the front door, ringing the bell and waiting. No matter what Robin had said, he really didn’t think Steve would open the door. He took a slow spin, taking in the surroundings, noticing the overwhelming amount of greenery in this part of town, especially compared to Cherry Lane.
“Billy?” Steve’s shocked voice said behind him. “What, um, what are you doing here?”
Billy turned around, taking in the soft looking sweater and joggers Steve was now wearing. “I came to see you, pretty boy. Robin said you needed some help and, well, here I am.”
“You… Come in already, it’s freezing out.”
Steve moved to let Billy in and closed the door behind him. “ You want to help me ?” His tone was saying one thing but the way his eyes swept over Billy were saying another.
Billy took the two steps separating them, crowding Steve, but not quite touching him.
“You bet, pretty boy,” he whispered in the gap between them. “In any way I can…” He let his eyes drop to Steve’s mouth before making eye contact again. This close, he could see the flakes of gold in the brown. He wondered what Steve’s chocolate eyes would look like in the early morning sunlight.
Steve’s hands were on his jaw before Billy could react as Steve pulled Billy to him, slanting their mouths together. The surprised gasp that breached Billy’s lips was all Steve needed to slide his tongue in Billy’s mouth.
The shock of Steve making the first move only lasted a moment. Billy wasted no time pressing Steve’s body against the door, his hands reaching under the hem of his sweater. His fingers encountered warm naked skin and Billy moaned.
“Fuck, Steve…”
“Not on the first date,” Steve said with a smile, burying his hands in Billy’s hair and pressing their foreheads together.
“Could be a date,” Billy replied, sliding a thigh between Steve’s legs, his heart rate picking up speed when he felt Steve grow hard against him.
“Billy…”
Billy never thought that hearing a guy whine his name would get him hot under the collar, but today was fraught with new and unexpected experiences.
“Yeah, baby, I’m here. I’ve got you. What do you need?” he asked Steve, nibbling along Steve’s jaw, before mouthing at the column of his neck.
“You. Me. Naked. My bed.”
*****
“Billy?” Steve asked, his head resting on Billy’s chest, fingers drawing patterns along his barely visible treasure trail. Billy had gone down on him then Steve had given his first every blow job and he was pretty sure Billy had enjoyed it. He hoped Billy would let him do it again.
“Yeah?” Billy’s hand on Steve’s back didn’t stop; Steve took comfort in that.
“I… Robin said something earlier, about enemies to lovers romance and I want you to know, this isn’t an experiment for me.”
“No?” Billy’s voice was devoid of emotion and Steve didn’t like it.
“I really like you, Billy. I know what happened in November happened, but I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you.”
“Steve…”
“What I’m saying is, I know we can’t go out on dates, because it’s dangerous for people like us, but if you wanted, we could hang out here. Order in. Make out in the hot pool my parents installed last year.”
“I like your idea, Stevie, a lot.”
“So you’ll stay?”
Instead of answering with words, Billy flipped them over so he was on top, his hands in Steve’s hair holding him still as he licked into Steve’s mouth. Steve’s hands found Billy’s hips, helping the rolling rhythm that made them both groan and gasp. They never stopped kissing, moving against each other until they both reached their peak.
The ensuing shower to clean the mess that covered them both took so long that they ran out of hot water but they didn’t care.
With the help of a little birdie, they’d found each other, and, well, that was worth all the cold showers in the world.

Exposed || Kenny McCormick x Reader
note: characters are aged up
Another uneventful day in South Park. Minutes ago, your friend had called and asked you to come over again. You agreed, naturally. Why would you pass up the opportunity to hang out with Kenny?
The walk to his house didn't take long considering you only lived down the street from him, so you were already here. You knocked on the door and waited, before hearing various bangs from the other side. You would be concerned, but this was normal. Well, you are concerned... but you were used to this sort of thing and you knew what happened when you aren't around.
After a couple minutes, Kenny's mom opened the door and smiled at you. "Come in, Y/N. It's nice to see you again."
She couldn't deny the fact you were making Kenny and his siblings happier by being around, she even caught herself feeling relieved as they tended to argue less (if at all) when you were here.
"Nice to see you too, Mrs. McCormick." You smiled back at her.
"Please, you don't need to be formal with me." She waved her hand in dismissal of the formality, "you know you can call me Carol."
"I know—" you were enjoying the meaningless conversation, but you were interrupted by a voice from the hallway.
"Y/N's here!" Karen yelled joyfully and ran over to you.
"Hi, Karen." You smiled down at her.
"C'mon, Kenny was just talking about you!"
She began dragging you to his room at the end of the hallway, where he had music on full volume, so he didn't realise you had arrived yet.
Karen didn't bother knocking as she swung the door open, startling her older brother, and dragging you in behind her.
"Karen! Jesus..." he jumped slightly from where he laid on his bed.
"What?"
"Hey, Y/N." He momentarily ignored her as he greeted you. As he got up, he lowered the volume on the radio and walked over to you. "It's good to see you again."
Laughing at his endearment, you remarked, "you saw me yesterday Ken."
"What can I say?" He shrugged. "I just like hanging out with you."
"Yeah, he likes you a whole lot." Karen snickered from where she stood next to you, and you smiled down at her again. You didn't notice him glaring at his younger sister.
"Does he really?" You asked, deciding to play it cool.
"He has a name." Kenny muttered, "whatever."
"Yeah, he said how he likes it when you—"
"Anyways!" He covered her mouth with his hand, knowing she wasn't strong enough to force it off, so she just shouted. Even if her shouts were muffled.
Raising an eyebrow, you looked up at him and noticed his face had gotten considerably more red than before. You'd be lying if you said you didn't find it cute.
"How about we go get some fresh air, Y/N?" He suggested, changing the subject.
"Sure."
The two of you made your way to the front door when his mom called from the sofa, "take your sister with you!"
"But, mom—" he turned around to argue, only to see Karen swinging on her feet behind you.
"Bring her or you're grounded, Kenny!"
Kenny felt guilty for wanting to leave Karen at home, considering how horrible their home life, but he also didn't want his chance with you to be ruined. On the other hand, if he got grounded it meant he couldn't see you at all for a while.
"C'mon, we can go to the park." He grumbled.
"Yay!" She grabbed her coat and dashed out the door.
"Sorry, Y/N."
"Sorry?" You echoed, making him look over at you while you walked side-by-side. "I love having her around." A soft smile on your face.
Adoration was all Kenny could feel in this moment. The way you cared for his younger sister as if she was one of your own. How could he not fall in love with you?
"He loves having you around too, Y/N!" Karen shouted back from in front of you. "He always tells me about how much he misses you after you leave."
"Oh my god."
"I'd sure hope so," you laughed in response. What was that supposed to mean?
"Do you ever keep to yourself?" He asked, the question clearly directed at Karen.
"It's not my fault you won't make a move on the girl you say you lo-"
"Karen!"
"What!?"
Getting caught in the middle of an argument between the McCormicks was one thing, having the argument partially involve you was another.
Karen was trying so hard to wing-woman for her older brother that was too awkward to just make a move on you already. So she decided to take it into her own hands.
"Kenny's in love with you, Y/N. Do what you want with that information, I'm going home." That was the last thing she said, before turning around in the direction of their run-down house and walking away.
"Karen. Karen! For fuck sake." He considered running after her, or even going home as well, but thought against it when he noticed you stood still in the corner of his eye.
Refusing to look at you, he kicked a nearby stone and internally panicked. Why weren't you saying anything? But what could you possibly say in this situation? How have you just stood there the whole time?
You were stood in shock.
"Uh," you took a deep breath and prepared for the heavy conversation you were about to have. "Were all those things your sister said true?"
"Possibly." He turned his body to face you, but his eyes could have burned holes into the pavement with the way he was staring intensely, still refusing to look at you.
"Just give me a straight answer." You groaned and his head snapped up to look at you. Why were you so persistent.
"Karen doesn't like lying because it gets her in trouble. Does that help?"
You didn't know what to do. He was avoiding the answer, but his response and body language all screamed the fact she was telling the truth.
"Kenny."
The way you said his name was enough to make his heart skip a beat, as if it wasn't already drumming intensely in his chest.
"Look at me." It was a command, but you said it so gently that he complied.
Terrified eyes met yours. Both of you were too afraid to now break that eye contact, in fear of what could possibly happen next.
"Y/N..." he began, but he was unable to find words. What was there to say?
"Kenny, you do like me, don't you?" You asked softly, slowly stepping closer to him.
He wanted to stay silent, he's never felt so embarrassed in his life, but he couldn't stop his emotions pouring out of his heart. "Yeah, and I have for what feels like forever."
He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "I feel like I've been exposed. I hope this doesn't change anything between us, I mean I can't imagine how awkward you feel as well, Y/N, so I'm sorry—"
"Kenny."
"I understand if—" he kept going, not hearing the utterance of his name.
"Kenny!" You raised your voice, making him jump a little.
"Huh?"
"Shut up for a second," you laughed.
"What's so funny?"
"I like you too, dumbass."

Could I ask for a reader x Sirius where Sirius James and reader share a house because like reader is James sibling and it’s just James finding them being really couply and everything and him over reacting?
Yes, ofc bbg
Sirius Black x gn!Reader
Warnings: mention of bad home life, sort of suggestive in literally one sentence
A/n: GUYS I'M SORRY FOR TAKING THESE LONG ASS BREAKS 💀 I really need to start writing on a computer instead of my shitty phone lol. Anyways, requests are open
Tumblr media
A few summers ago, you and your brother made the decision to get Sirius Black out of his abusive household. It was seriously one of the best decisions both you and James had ever made. Sirius seemed so much happier now that he actually lived with people who cared about him. And he seemed especially happy about getting to live with his significant other.
It was a hot summer day at the house, and no matter how high the AC was turned up, it didn't seem to help very much.
In an attempt to battle the heat, you and Sirius had resorted to sitting on the floor of your room in front of a fan that was turned up to its maximum setting. Two large glasses of ice water were sat next to the both of you and both glasses were half empty.
Sirius groaned as he slid down the wall that he was leaning against, moving to lay on his back.
"It's hot." He whined as he threw an arm over his face.
"Yeah," You agreed. "I noticed."
"I don't understand. It felt so nice yesterday and now it's absolutely scolding." He continued to complain.
You looked over at your boyfriend and chuckled. "I know why."
"Why?"
"It's cause yesterday you were going on and on about how nice the weather had been lately and-"
"Don't blame this on me!" He cut you off, sitting up and giving you a grin.
"I'll blame whoever I want!" You giggled.
"I'll turn this fan off." Sirius threatened.
"No, you won't."
"Yeah, I won't."
The two of you smiled at each other for a moment before Sirius moved to sit next to you and leaned his head on your shoulder.
"Seriously?" You asked, looking down at him. "Isn't it too hot for cuddling?"
"Never." He replied.
You couldn't argue with that. You rested your head on top of his and grabbed his hand, intertwining your fingers with his.
It was nice despite the fact that the both of you were sticky with sweat. You closed your eyes, enjoying the peaceful moment when your door opened.
"Y/n, do you know where the fan is-" James began to ask as he walked in. "Oh my God, of course you two are using it."
"We were hot." You told James.
"You'd both probably be less hot if you weren't laying on top of each other." He said as he leaned against your doorframe.
Sirius hummed as if he was considering what James said. "Nah, I think I feel much cooler right here."
"Yeah, I've gotta agree." You said as Sirius wrapped his arm around you and kissed your cheek.
James gagged. "Oh, get a room."
"Great idea." Replied Sirius.
James couldn't help but chuckle. "You're both gross. I don't even want the fan anymore."
"Then you should probably leave." Sirius suggested.
"Yeah, before we start making out in front of you." You added with a mischievous grin.
"You don't have to tell me twice." James said as he turned and left the room.
You and Sirius exchanged a look before both giggling.
"He hates us." You said.
"But, he loves us." Sirius added.
"And I love you." You leaned down to kiss him softly.
After the short kiss Sirius chuckled. "No wonder he hates us. Look at how cheesy we're being."
"There's no one I'd rather be cheesy with." You told him as you kissed the bridge of his nose.
Just then James reentered the room. "I've changed my mind, I'm taking the fan."
"NO!"

Buckingham, 1,760 words, for @thefreakandthehair’s Spicy Six Winter Challenge, with the prompt; snowball fight.
Winter, and Christmas especially, has always been Robins favorite time of year.
Or, more accurately, it used to be.
With the heavy snow, December of '85 is starting to become the worst month of Robins year. She can't even bring herself to enjoy the snow. Nothing her parents usually do to cheer her up works either.
"Until the roads are cleared, I've got to walk," Steve repeats. "I'm sorry, Robs. Maybe the snow will clear tomorrow."
"Maybe," she reluctantly agrees, ignoring the fact that he'd said the same thing yesterday... and the day before that... and the day before that. "At least we're on shift tonight, right?"
"Oh..."
Steve's tone only fills her with more dread.
"What?"
"Keith called me before you," Steve says. "Family Video is closed for the day. Something about the snow being too much and no one shopping in this weather anyway."
"So, hey, maybe school will be cancelled too," Robin tries, though they both know school won't cancel.
"I'll walk you home from school," Steve offers. "Or we can go back to my house. I still have that cake we made."
"Yeah, alright, whatever. I'll call you at lunch, yeah?"
"Ok. Missing you already, Robs."
"Love you too, Dingus."
Hanging up, she drops her head against the wall with a soft 'thud', grumbling complaints under her breath.
"No Steve today?" Her mother asks.
Robin turns, glaring when she sees the teasing smirk. "No, no Steve today. By the time he clears his driveway, I could have already walked to school and waiting... whatever. It's not a big deal."
"Mhm," her mom hums, chuckling. "Sure it isn't, sweetie."
"It isn't! It's not like we need to be together all the time. We can go one day."
"Your uncle and I used to use those same excuses, you know. We weren't any more convincing than you two. Now, come on, get ready. You'll be late if you don't leave soon."
Reluctant, and groaning, Robin takes the coat her mom holds out for her. She picks her bag up, sat by the door, and sitting on the stairs so she can pull on her boots.
"Don't rush, there's a lot of ice," her mom warns. "And keep your coat zipped up. And-"
"I know, I know. I love you, too. I'll see you later!"
"Bye sweetheart! Be careful!"
The air outside is freezing. It hits Robin like a brick wall when she steps out and, despite her mom's warning, the idea of spending longer is the cold than she needs to is horrifying.
She jogs, careful to avoid patches of roads and sidewalks that look icy.
She makes it most of the way with only a few stumbles before, inevitably, she slips over.
"Oh my god," someone yelps. "Are you ok?!"
Robin flushes, muttering curses, when she realises that, not only did someone see her fall over and eat shit- Chrissy Cunningham saw her fall over.
"I'm- yeah, fine, totally," she chokes out, forcing a laugh.
"Here," Chrissy pants a little, having ran over to her, offering a hand.
Robin takes her hand, a little surprised at how easily Chrissy pulls her up.
"Thanks," she says, trying to smile.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Chrissy frowns, looking her over. "We have a first aid kit if-"
"Oh, no, that's not... I am ok, really."
"if you're sure." Chrissy shifts, glancing back to the drive. "I'd over to drive you the rest of the way, but..."
Robin leans to look around her, wincing when she sees the drive.
The snow is piled high in the driveway and, despite how much has been cleared, there's no way that Chrissy is going to clear the rest in time.
"Why don't we walk together instead?" Robin suggests.
She almost takes it back, wincing at her own boldness, but Chrissy lights up.
"Yeah? I mean, yeah, let's! Lemme grab my bag, ok?"
"Ok, yeah, that's fine."
Robin wraps her arms around herself, starting to step side to side in an attempt to keep warm while she waits.
Luckily, it doesn't take Chrissy long.
"Ok, I'm ready!" She smiles. She pulls the strap to her back a little further onto her shoulder, the polite smile faltering. "Oh, are you cold?"
"Uh, yeah, but I'm fine, really, it-"
"No, don't worry," Chrissy twists so she can root through her bag. "I've got a spare... aha!"
She pulls out a scarf that's mostly green and white. She wraps it around Robins neck before she can protest.
"You can give it back later," Chrissy easily dismisses, starting to walk down the street. She raises an eyebrow when she glances back at Robin. "Come on!"
Robin stumbles a little in her rush to catch up.
"Careful," Chrissy says, taking hold of Robins right arm and cradling it in both of hers. She glances down at her boots. "Do you have enough grip with those?"
"What? I mean, yeah, these are great, they're sturdy and build for ice- mom got them specifically because they have great grip. The problem is with me, I'm not good at running. Like, I have terrible co-ordination- Steve is always joking about how I run like a windmill and, yeah, I do, but he learnt to walk slower than I did so really, he's the weird one here- I mean, what type of baby tries to crawl backwards, right?"
Robin finally pauses for breath. She glances at Chrissy, who is struggling to stiffle her giggles.
"Steve Harrington?" Chrissy asks, when she finally realizes that Robin isn't going to continue.
"Uh... yeah... don't tell anyone I told you that."
"My lips are sealed."
"No, really, that's- I think he told me that in confidence or something, I shouldn't have told you that, I just can't stop rambling when I get nervous around- and you're- oh god. I'm shutting up now. No more conversations. We're just... having a nice- silent- walk to school together. Just... me and Chrissy Cunningham. Jesus."
"You say that like I'm scary."
"Well, I mean..."
That only makes Chrissy giggle harder. "You think I'm scary? Really?"
She leans heavily into Robins side, one of her hands curling up around Robins bicep. She's looking up at Robin with an expression that's painfully familiar.
It's the same expression she's seen girls pull out when they're hitting on Steve. The same moves too.
But what would Steve do? Robin thinks, panicking.
She's grown so used to old conversations with Steve repeating in her head, his bad jokes and questionable advice a constant and welcome companion.
But, now that she actually needs him, he's nowhere to be found.
After a few seconds of panicking, Robin is desperate to break the tension that is quickly turning from flirty to awkward.
She ducks down, grabbing a handfull of snow, and throwing it against Chrissys coat.
Robin jerks up, standing stiff upright, frozen and stunned at herself, whilst Chrissy is equally frozen, staring at Robin with her mouth agape.
It doesn't take long for the shock and confusion to vanish though, and soon Chrissys grin turns wicked, a dangerous glint in her eyes.
"I'm sorry?" Robin tries.
"Are you?"
'That means she's flirting, just... in a more playful way', Steve voice finally rings in her head. That day had been confusing for Robin- she hadn't known if the girl had been flirting with him or bullying him. 'I kinda prefer it. It's nice to know you can roughhouse a little with a girl, you know? It can be fun. Sexy'.
That had been one of his more successful dates, Robin remembers. He'd gushed about her for the entire week between their first and second date. She can't remember what went wrong, but he was confident that-
Chrissy ducks down, quick, scooping up a pile of snow with both hands.
Nope.
She takes off running, barely darting out of the way of the snowball in time.
"Hey!" Chrissy yells after her. "Get back here!"
But she's laughing as she says it.
So, almost tripping onto her face as she ducks down, she scoops up another ball of snow. She turns, aim going a little wild with how fast she keeps running.
She yelps, stumbling a little heavier when the snowball sent back in return smacks directly in the back of her head.
"Careful!" Chrissy yells.
"Then don't aim for my head!"
"It's not my fault it's an easy target!"
"Hey!"
Robin scoops more snow, turning and sliding to a stop. Chrissy doesn't have enough time to stop, but she does duck out of the way so it hits the side of her head instead of directly in her face.
She realizes her mistake a second too late.
Chrissy, unable to slow her momentum on the same patch of ice that Robin had slid across, slams straight into Robin.
Robin winces when her back slams into the ground, the snow doing nothing to cushion the fall. She feels lucky that her head didn't also slam into the ground.
"Oops?" Chrissy says, pushing herself up slightly but making no move to get off her.
"No, it's ok, that's on me."
"Yeah..." Chrissy trails off, voice weak- distracted.
Robin holds as still as she can, irrationally worried that if she moves then she'll startle Chrissy out of whatever moment she's having that has her looking down at Robins lips, cheeks flushing.
For a moment, Robin is sure that Chrissy is going to kiss her. Her eyes flutter, shifting up so her face is above Robins, tilting her head and starting lean down, to-
Someone wolf whistles, loud.
Chrissy jerks back, throwing herself off of Robin- but she is immediately glaring at the two boys, laughing and leering at them.
"Fuck off!" Chrissy yells. "Jerks!"
She ignores them when they try yelling back, instead focusing on Robin and helping her to her feet.
"Ignore them," Chrissy mumbles, grabbing hold of her hand and gently dragging her along, walking fast. She glances back, seeming to relax. "What assholes."
Robin glances back, relieved when she realizes that they're turned around and started walking in the opposite direction.
"Yeah," she agrees, turning back to stare at Chrissy, awed. "You're so brave."
"What? Oh, no, I'm not."
"Yeah, you are! Scary, too."
"I am not!"
"Scared those two."
Chrissy huffs, leaning in so their shoulders bump together.
"You're something else," Robin continues, emboldened. "It's impressive. You're, like, actually cool. Not just popular kid cool, but... truly, really, awesome."
"Shut up." She's mumbling, but she's smiling. She's blushing. She's looking up at Robin through her eyelashes.
"Nope," Robin grins.

my au my rules. this au is literally called Chucker Spiderverse AU in the archived discord thread so be warned oooOoOOoooOo . gay men OoooooOo
writing out the backstory that me and my friend Donut have been working on for the better part of a year, most of it was inspired by the new itsv movie that was released then. and because I don't plan on writing anything huge for this I'd like my brainstorming to have a wider audience.
All art posted is most likely @franklindonuts , aka Donut the cocreator of this shit,,,hey buddy😆 go show him some love pleeeease
you can see my art of this au here
this will 100% be somewhat incomprehensive but hey I'm just a fag having fun and I was born yesterday🧚‍♀️
**
Tucker is the spiderman in his universe with Church as his "guy in the chair". (Putting it out there that this Church is Alpha, which is significant later on.)
They both share an apartment, I don't think I ever specified why but probably for school reasons. They're both young adults, I want to say around 19-21, similar to their Blood Gulch years.
Tucker loves being spiderman. He loves helping people, being almost an idol for people- a lot of jokes were thrown around about that:
Tumblr media
Imagine Tucker after he got his sword. He has a genuine purpose now and he's going to be good at it.
but goddd Tucker is Tucker and is stupid and reckless. being spiderman doesn't make him invincible but he loves to think otherwise. he pushes himself too far too often because he knows if he doesn't he wouldn't be able to sleep at night if someone got hurt when he was taking it "easy". Church knows this but he's still pissed off when Tucker comes back bloodied and bruised from a Villain of the Week that he shouldn't have taken on :/
(Donut art)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
mental illness
Tumblr media
It's literally just the Spiderman Effect. No one will Ever be able to understand what it's like to be spiderman but other spiders, regardless of how much you tell them or show them, they won't get it. and Church doesn't Get it. He's not stupid, he understands WiTh GrEaT PoWeR y'know but there's a mental toll that can't be communicated in a way that makes sense :/
regardless, Church hates it but he also hates how much he cares about Tucker. Cocreator said that he figured they were both close and willing to become A Thing but the time was never right, and Tucker was scared of liking a dude, etc. Normal stuff between these two. But they're insanely close, I'd like to think even moreso after Tucker's whole spiderman thing and the fact that Church also has to realize that Tucker is not invincible.
(despite them not being A Thing, Donut art of The Spiderman kiss and other gay shit)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now this is the kicker of why I said to take note of the fact this is Alpha Church specifically.
Now I'm aware of the clowning on the whole "canon event" thing and some people's opinion on it (mostly that it's dumb and cliche), but I find it a very unique and convenient way to give a character a significant plot boost.
That being said, Tucker's "canon event" is Church's death.
I don't ever think I solidified how/why he dies, moreso that it's just a wrong-place wrong-time type of thing. Some brainstorming from Donut about it:
Tumblr media
but i never asked him for elaboration so I don't know what the fuck he's talking about. anyway
Tucker finds Church similar to how Miles found Peter in the first Spiderverse movie. He doesn't know what to do. He's frantic and scared and horrified that his best friend is coughing up blood with raspy breaths.
Tumblr media
(Alpha s10 parallel with tex lalalala)
Obviously. Obbbviousllyy Tucker is distraught and inconsolable. Something something he has the Worst depression of his life. He doesn't know what to do with himself, the one person who knew about everything is gone, and I'm sorry (not) lol but it's not like in rvb where Church revives 8 times before dying like a normal person.
Church was always there for Tucker and he's at a loss of what to do now because, despite the threat of it, he should've never died. It wasn't even a concern in his head ever because it seemed so unlikely.
Tucker doesn't know what to do with himself, he wouldn't have gotten this far without Church. But really, it was All Tucker. All Church did was give him little tech bits to help him function better but it was All Tucker. But he isn't able to realize that through everything and it ruins him.
I will have to make a continuation post because I love adding images and Just hit the mobile limit🧚‍♀️
thanks for reading if you got this far

Sup bro, fartsnifferpro here.
I really love your fics and u said it was ok to make requests so I really hope I'm not bothering.. I usually have several ideas for fanfics but I don't trust my writing enough to put them into practice and laziness usually gets in the way. I was thinking about something related to a Micah Bell dating a reader very, but VERY emotional, like crying very easily (me). I really don't care the way you will write this (like headcanons, fanfic, whatever) I'll will love it anyway your writing is amazing.
(IF YOU DONT WANT TO ITS OKAY)
Hehe welcome to the blog Fartsnifferpro! I most definitely DO want to write a sad reader fic !! You caught me at a very melancholy time so this was pretty cathartic to write tbh. I hope you like it ❣️

The small stable in this god forsaken camp had quickly become my favorite place. Being around all those people, sick, sad, broken… It was tearing me apart. I hadn’t been with them for very long, had only just gotten to know those that we lost only days ago. Jenny, Davey, Mac…
I felt like I had no right to mourn them, not when the others were so devastated by the loss. Not with John still missing and Abigail worried sick. Or the heartbreaking cries of the widow we picked up just yesterday cutting through even the most violent howling winds of the blizzard that hounded our crude shelters.
So, just as I had the last two nights, I spent my evening tending to the horses while the others huddled for warmth in the decrepit cabins across camp. It was barely any warmer in the stable than it was out in the snow but I'd been so numb the past few days the cold barely registered anymore. I was brushing Baylock, humming some old lullaby I'd long forgotten the words to, when the doors of the stable swung open.
“Well ain’t you a sight for sore eyes…” a familiar gravelly voice said behind me. I didn’t have time to put my brush down before Micah’s arms were around my waist, his wind chilled face nuzzling into my neck as he kissed me, his warm breath sending shivers down my spine as he spoke, “Why you out here?”
I turned in his grasp to snake my hands beneath the thick leather jacket he wore and wrap my arms around his back, snuggling into his warmth.
“Goddamn darlin’ you’re freezing.” His body shuttered against my cold touch. Pulling me tighter against him, his strong hands began rubbing my back in an attempt to warm me up. “Shit, how long you been out here?”
“I don’t know…” I murmured against his shoulder, squeezing him tighter.
“I would have come found ya sooner,” He sighed, “Dutch’s been talkin’ our ears off about… well, it don’t matter.” He let out a low hum, peppering gentle kisses atop my head.
His comforting hold, his soft voice, the sweet, feather light kisses… It broke something open in me that I'd been pushing down since we fled here. A muffled cry escaped my lips as I buried my head into the crook of his neck. Micah froze at the sound. When the cries didn’t stop, his grip on me tightened.
“What- what is it? What’s wrong?” His tender, soothing voice just fueled whatever pain had broken free inside me. I collapsed against him. Unable to speak, barely able to breath as I choked up sob after pained sob, gripping onto him so tightly my muscles ached.
“Hey… Hey, shhh” He hushed, whispered curses escaping his lips as I shook in his arms. I knew he wasn’t used to comforting people, that emotional outbursts of any kind weren't a part of his wheelhouse. In all the time we’d been together I’d purposefully hid my breakdowns from him… afraid he’d see me as weak.
“I- I’m sorry…” I finally choked out, knowing I was putting him in an uncomfortable position.
“Don't apologize, darlin'. You got nothin’ to be sorry for…” He whispered into my ear. His sweet words just cracked me open even deeper. A hand came up to gently rake through my hair as he continued to shush me like a frightened horse. Which, I realized, was probably the only living thing he’d ever attempted to comfort until now.
“Just let it out honey, I gotcha.” He said, his grip on me tightening.
“I can't take being stuck up here Micah…” I admitted, the words finally spilling out of me, “It- it's suffocating me… And I'm not asking you to do anything about it. I know it's just how things are with the damn storm and the money... I just…” I trailed off, my breath still stuttering with sobs.
He let out a long sigh, pulling away from my grip on him just enough to cradle my face in his hands. His bright blue eyes met mine, a foreign, aching sadness welling up in them as he examined me.
“I know…” He finally said, stroking the streaming tears away from my cheeks. The pained look he gave me had my eyes welling up once more, cursing under his breath he pulled me back into his embrace. Holding my head in his hand he kept me pressed firmly against his chest, like he was afraid I'd break into pieces if he let go. “God darlin’ I- I hate seein’ you like this.”
His deep voice rumbling against my ear was like music. I hugged him tighter, feeling every breath, listening to it whoosh through him like wind. “Can you… talk.” I murmured into his chest, “About anything… just, talk to me”
“Um… Sure.” He said, though he went quiet for a long moment as he thought of what to say. “My… My momma used to tell me this story, about a boar… If you wanna hear it.” I hummed in acknowledgement, waiting for him to continue.
“It was a menace, darlin’, this boar. A real nasty fucker. Killed livestock, ripped up crops, tore people apart… The whole country feared the damn thing. The king offered up his own daughter as the reward for the man who killed it.”
“So these two brothers decided hell, they had nothin' to lose and gave it a try. The older one, a cocky bastard, spent the first day of the hunt getting piss drunk. Figuring his brother didn’t stand a chance.” He ran his hands through my hair, idly twisting strands around his fingers as he got lost in the retelling.
“That night, his little brother came out of the forest with the beast on his back. Fuckin’ furious, he walked up and shot him dead. Took the boar for himself and brought it back to the king. Told everyone the boar had killed his brother, tore him up and ate the pieces. And they believed him, ‘cause that boar was a menace.” His whispered words were fierce in my ear, he'd always been such a good storyteller. My sobs had ceased by now, my breathing settling into a calm rhythm as I listened intently.
“He married the king's daughter the next day. Had a huge party outside the castle to celebrate. Even had the boar roasting on a spit for the feast. They was so drunk and happy, the whole place filled with music.” He hummed in my ear, taking my hand in his and swaying us softly to the tune.
“Until a boar, one twice the size of the one the brother had killed, went chargin' for the king's daughter!" He said with a roar, gripping me closer into his chest as if he were the beast coming to devour me. I couldn't help but giggle at his theatrical retelling.
"It ripped her apart while everyone watched...." He bit playfully at my neck in emphasis, coaxing a surprised yelp out of me. Though he didn't miss a beat.
"The brother, the damn coward, ran off, back to the castle. Let the boar feast on everyone that had come to celebrate his wedding. Let it tear up the fields, rip through the livestock. Until there was nothin' left…” he drifted off into silence, kissing softly at the spot at my neck where he'd bitten. I waited for some happy resolution but it never came.
“Your momma told you that story?” I asked, a shocked laugh escaping my lips at the gorey tale I could only presume he heard as a small child. His chest vibrated with a deep laugh of his own, “What, not the bedtime story you were expecting?” He raised my chin to look at him, his expression softened now that my tears had stopped.
“What happened to the brother?” I asked. Micah shrugged, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips, “Died alone in that castle with piles of money to wipe his ass with, probably.”
I laughed, "What made ya think of that story?"
Humming in thought he said, "I don't know... always found it funny." "Funny?" I said, incredulous.
"Well you laughed, didn't ya!"
"At you, ya big weirdo..." I said, playfully hitting him on the chest. My sorrows and worries forgotten as I looked up at him, a beaming smile on his face.
His thumb brushed over my chin as he pulled me up to place a soft kiss to my lips. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I held him close, keeping his lips on mine as we melted into each other with palpable relief. As if all the tension, guilt and grief that had weighed me down the past few days just needed his warm breath to be set free, evaporating around us now lighter than air.
With his strong arms hooked around my waist Micah picked me up. His mouth never left mine as he carried me out of the stable, intent on keeping me warm and in his arms for the rest of the night.

join luveline's halloween party ♡
thank you!!! friends to lovers fluff with rockstar!james x fem!reader
Being friends with a rockstar is hardwork. It feels ridiculous to voice it aloud, how James' fame, his new influence, new money, new house makes your life hard — how could any of that be hard?
James' life has elevated to a different kind of worrying, a more peaceful life for sure if you can behave and reap the benefits.
But James Potter cannot behave.
"Stop telling people I'm your girlfriend," you demand.
James laughs. It's a crackly sound over the speaker. You know he can't see you but you glare at the sound anyway.
"Now who's said that?" James asks.
"Today Magazine."
There's a silence, long and full of your rage, and then the buzzer sounds to let you in. "Dickhead," you grumble.
The stairs up to his flat are familiar. You know every door along the way and every rug outside of them. Your eyes skip over the skid marks on the second floor, the scorch mark on the fifth.
James' door is propped open by a leaning tower of brown moving boxes. You weave past them and find the boy in question leaning back against his countertop with a cup of coffee. You're super mad at him for spreading untruths about you over the Internet but he's a good friend who gives great hugs, so when he quickly puts down his mug and opens his arms you let him wrap them around you.
You squeeze until he winces.
"What's wrong with you?" you grumble, less mad and more desperate. Why does he keep telling people you're together? Doesn't he know people don't understand sarcasm?
"I can't help myself."
You peel away from him and take his mug as punishment. Your tongue melts in your mouth at the heat but you refuse to wince, lest he think he's beaten you in any way today.
"Start to help yourself!" You kick a random throw cushion on the ground.
"You try saying no to them!"
"I do," you say, scowling. "I was apprehended," — he giggles like an idiot — "outside of Tesco's yesterday morning. I was wearing a pajama top."
"By who?"
"Is that important?"
James' expression says no. "...Maybe."
"It was some girl for her blog trying to get an 'inside scoop' on our relationship, Jamie. She pushed her phone in my face and kept asking me all these questions and she wouldn't leave me alone."
This catches his attention, a more serious look overtaking his humorous grin. "What?"
You squeeze his coffee cup between two hands.
"Why didn't you call me?" he asks worriedly.
His hair curls under his ears like two tiny hooks. You don't know why you notice it or why now of all times, but you do, and you can't stop looking at them.
James steps forward and curls his hands over the crooks of your elbows. "Shortcake, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for that to happen."
"What did you think was gonna happen, Jamie?" You're not especially annoyed or upset or anything like that, more genuinely curious as to what his motives are. Your stress ticks down to a mild annoyance, his hands on your skin like two warm tethers. "You're famous now."
"I'm not famous," he says with a laugh.
"You're not exactly playing at weddings anymore."
"I could play at weddings."
You shake your head at him and sigh. "Here," you say, offering his coffee back.
He takes the mug from your hands, your forgiveness far from lost on him. "I really am sorry, about the supermarket. I can- I can get you security-"
"Security."
"-if you like. Yeah, like a bodyguard. Or..." He puts his coffee on the counter. It all but sinks into the clutter, neatly hidden away by tea towels and cutlery in seconds. "I could be your bodyguard."
You snort. "Yeah, I'm sure."
"Seriously! I could follow you around all day with an earpiece and a radio clipped to my shoulder. You'd barely know I was there, 'cause I'd be stealthy, and I'd beat off all your suitors with a baton."
"There are so many things wrong with that sentence."
"Like what?"
"Like what, huh? Let's see. Firstly, you've never been stealthy a day in your life, I think your mam's telling the truth when she says you were born with a drum stick in hand. And as for suitors, they aren't suitors at all. They're your fans. Because you're not a bodyguard, you're-"
You shriek as James rugby tackles you. Arms around your waist, your elbow digging into his neck as he tries to force you to the floor. You're compelled to laugh even as you lose, grabbing uselessly at his legs as you're torn swiftly away from them and lain out flat on your back, your head shy of his coffee table.
"Get off of me!" you demand.
James pins your thighs with one calf and holds your hands above your head on the floor. "See? I could totally be your bodyguard. What was that, three seconds?"
His hair tickles your forehead as he leans close, his curls deceptively long.
You try not to think about his weight all over you.
"You cheated."
"How?" he asks incredulously.
"I wasn't ready."
"I don't think that changes much."
You flex your hands in his grip experimentally. "God, I forget how strong you are sometimes."
James laughs giddily and drops his nose until it touches yours. "Charmer," he murmurs, exhale warm over your lips.
"Jamie, get off. My legs are going dead."
He pulls back with a very affronted gawp, sliding his leg back onto the floor and loosening his grip on your arms. You pull yourself into a sitting position beside his kneeling figure and huff exaggeratedly, arms to your chest. "Ow..." you moan half-heartedly. "You've maimed me."
"They were like that before, I swear."
You hum a happy sound and crawl up, stopping to dot a kiss on his warm cheek as you do. "Stop telling people I'm your girlfriend," you say, brushing your fingers through the ends of his hair lightly before standing properly.
You focus your sights on his messy kitchen, intending on cleaning his awful mess.
"I'll think about it," James says.
You snort. "You do that, loverboy."

Go Get Your Man - Ross Macdonald One Shot
A/n: welcome to something that randomly got stuck in my head after watching that Livestream... Now I'm not going to talk about Finsbury too much because it hurts too much because I really wanted to be there but the tickets should out in like seconds.... Buttttt I wrote this (not to do with Finsbury but that show just had ideas boiling, mainly because I realised I love Matty but like NEEEED Ross). I mainly wrote this as it perfectly describes how I feel about Matty and Ross. Anyway rant over, enjoy or not. Love you regardless - L p.s I have not proofread this so heads up
The house is loud, far too loud for her liking and despite the demands from her friend for people to smoke outside, a cloud drifted through the room, smoke visible in the air. The music was still audible over the voices of everyone in the room.
She's sporting the same glass of champagne as when she arrived, constantly being pulled left right and centre by people who wanted to talk to her.
The party was thrown on her behalf by her good friend Amber. They were celebrating the release of her new album (which she found a bit silly considering Japanese house had just released their own album too).
She was insistent at first "why can't we celebrate you too amber?" She asks and she remembers the eye roll her friend gave her before she went on about how "you know id hate that... That's not me... Besides I want to celebrate you".
She was worried at first when she arrived, knowing a certain someone would be here. She wasn't worried about seeing him, more worried about what he would say, afraid of upsetting him or making him angry.
She felt overwhelmed at one point, excusing herself from the conversation and walking outside, lighting a cigarette as soon as she steps through the doors.
"Still smoking I see?" She hears behind her, recognising the voice and almost immediately turning around and seeing a tall man, hair tied back in a bun, adorning a pair of black slacks, a black button up shirt, of which the top two were undone and a jacket.
"Ross... You came" she says, smiling a huge wide smile. She drops her cigarette instantly, walking over to the tall man, wrapping her arms around him and sighing into his chest.
"Wouldn't miss celebrating you for the world" he says, smiling a wide one which matches his. He missed having her in his arms. Now I know what you're probably thinking, but they were not in fact together. She pulls back, smiling up at him before her face drops.
"Weren't you guys at Finsbury... Like literally yesterday... And then Sweden before that?" She asks and he nods down at her.
"You must be shattered..." He doesn't let go of her just yet, still holding her in his arms.
"As I said... Wouldn't miss celebrating you for the world" he says, making her heart flutter, her eyes glinting with sheer happiness.
"sorry I wasn't there yesterday... I wanted to be... To support you... And g... And Hann and amber and everyone... Just didn't know if I'd be welcomed you know?" She asks and Ross nods, understanding completely.
"He would've been fine y'know?" Ross asks, the pin finally dropping.
"Really? I haven't seen him... At all to be honest since everything went down" she says and Ross sighs.
"You didn't do anything wrong..." He says and she nods.
"I know... But... We broke up a long time ago but... I promised I'd still see him and then I didn't... And then I still saw you and G and the rest and .... I dunno, just kind felt like a bitch" she admits and Ross nods.
"Well he came tonight... So you can't be that much of a bitch" he says and she laughs.
"oh thanks" she jokes making him chuckle. They finally pull away from each other (much to his dismay).
Ross' hand presses against her lower back, leading her back into the room and she immediately spots him, his curls tamed by gel, dressed in black suit trousers and a white button down shirt, standing with their friends. George smiles and waves at her as she sees her, drawing Matty's attention to her too. She's surprised to see that he smiles widely too, the conversation the group were having, immediately halted.
"There's the woman we've all been waiting for" George says as she draws closer. Ross' hand drops and she feels sad that it does, it leaves a tingly sensation in it's wake and that alone makes her breath falter and her head turn to check he was still there.
"Hello G" she says as she turns back to the group, the tall man pulling her into a tight hug.
"Oh I missed you" he says, squeezing her, her face being squished into his chest. She mumbles a "missed you too" before they pull away.
Hann is next to hug her saying a simple "really good to see you. Missed you. Congrats on the album" before Carly hugs her and then Charli and then she's face to face with Matty.
"Hello stranger" he says, but she smiles when there's no sense of bitterness in his words. He pulls her towards him and the two hug tightly. She thought it would feel weird to be in his embrace again but she just feels comfortable.
"Missed you" he admits and she smiles, closing her eyes she breathes him in for the first time in years.
"Yeah... Missed you too" she admits. They pull away and she feels herself get teary.
"seriously guys you really didn't have to come... You must all be so tired" she says, referring to the events of the previous days.
"We wouldn't miss it" she hears Matty say and she smiles at him. The group then get talking, catching up on everything that had been going on in each other lives. Of course she knew about parts of it, having still been seeing the guys and their partners when she could.
She goes for another cigarette at some point, leaning against the balcony, she hears the door open behind her and once again Ross is at her side.
"You look beautiful tonight by the way" he says as he stands next to her, placing a hand at her lower back again. She turns her body slightly so she's open to him, her waist pressing against his side.
"Thank you Macdonald..." She adorns a black dress which has a criss cross back and a cowl neck front, she wears boots as always. His hand is pressed against the crosses, the warmth of it radiating her bare skin making her shiver, realising how cold she was. His hand disappears for a moment and he shrugs off his jacket, draping it over her shoulders. She leans her head into him, which with the height difference leaves her leaning against his arm.
"Really missed you, you know" he says and she lifts her head slightly, eyes finding his soft brown ones. She sees immediately that he's sincere.
During the time Matty and her dated, her and Ross became very close, the closest out of any of Matty's friends, which was saying something because they all adored her. Ross was her go to person when Matty was being a bit mean or withdrawn. Looking back everyone is aware of why that was but at the time no one quite understood.
Ross found himself often angry at his friend for treating her the way he did, he knew Matty was fighting his own demons but Ross believed she deserved better, better than even he could give her.
"I really missed you too... When was the last time we saw each other... Seems like ages ago now" she says, trying to think back to when it was.
"the week of the London show? We went for ice cream and looked in that hidden record shop" he says and she smiles at the memory.
"oh yeah, you bought my album... 4 months is an awfully long time to go without you macdonald" she says and he smiles down at her.
"Won't happen again, I promise" she feels hopeful at that.
They then begin talking about all sorts, laughing at old memories. She jokes with him and teases him about this and that.
"The ross girlies were going absolutely feral for you yesterday... Finally giving them what they wanted when you let that hair loose" she says, they had somehow gotten even closer, her back was against the railing of the balcony and he had his hands either side of her. Her hands were resting against his collar. They didn't know how they got themselves into this position and she wishes she could pull herself away from it, not because she wanted to but because she felt guilty. He was her ex boyfriend's best friend, but he was also more than that, he was her best friend too, her go to person, her safety net, her comfort blanket, the person who in recent years had been the reson her soul was alight and she secretly wanted him to become ever more.
"You're ridiculous" he laughs, shaking his head down at her.
"Dunno Ross... I'd have to agree with them on this one... You looked good" she admits and he smirks down at her, one hand leaving the balcony to rest against her waist. His eyes scan her features, a shit eating smile pulling at his lips, cheeks and eyes creasing and the dimple she had missed a little too much making an appearance.
"I'm interested in you" he admits, and her smile drops. She scans his features now, trying to make sure he was deadly serious. She thinks it's an odd way to word it but it's appropriate for the circumstances. Saying he liked her would be too obvious, saying he loved her (although the truth) would be telling too much too soon and he truly couldn't think of another way to say it.
"Ross... We can't" she says, hands dropping from his collar , her stomach and heart sinking.
"Matty knows...." He says, the words leaving his mouth before he even had time to process them.
"Know what exactly? What is there to know?" She asks and it was a genuine question. Sure they flirted, spoke for hours on end after shoes, shared things that couples shared but neither of them had made their intentions obvious or clear.
"That I like you... That I've always liked you" he admits and she opens her mouth at the confession, lost for words for a second.
"liked you before he did... Before you even got together" he says. Amber had known Matty for years and she had introduced her to the group several years ago, she then became friends with the group so this piece of news was particularly shocking for her.
Matty was always flirty but at the beginning they were just friends, she did actually fancy Ross but she didn't think he liked her back. Matty started showing interest and she found herself falling for him, one thing led to another and they started dating. Never did she know that Ross had a thing for her.
"And Matty knew that?" She asks and Ross nods.
"That prick" she chuckles, hands finding his shoulders again.
"Yeah what a prick..." Ross says making both of them laugh "Na I'm joking... Wouldn't have changed anything if he didn't try with you and would you have wanted it to?" He asks and she ponders his question.
"Na you're right... I loved him" she says, no sadness, no reminiscence to her words, just the truth.
"Exactly..." Ross says.
"I did fancy you though" she says and he laughs.
"Fuck off... As if" he says, pulling away slightly before she pulls him back.
"I did!" She says raising her eyebrows at him "ask Amber if you don't believe me"
"Na I don't need to... I believe you" he says and they stare at each other for a bit, neither knowing what to say or do.
"Always wondered why it didn't work out with Matty.... Don't get me wrong, it was amazing, I loved that man so much... something always felt off though" she admits and Ross nods.
"Matty said the same thing... Sorry if that's a dick thing to say" he says and she shakes her head.
"Na don't worry... He told me" she says and that makes Ross raise his eyebrows.
"He called me once, last year... Drunk... Said he was sorry that he couldn't love me the way I deserved back then but he did love me... Said that it never felt quite right and that I was meant for someone else" she explains and Ross nods.
"So Matty knows you like me huh?" She asks and Ross nods.
"How did that conversation come about?" She asks and Ross chuckles, sighs and then begins to speak.
"Remember that night you called me on tour... Think we were in... America? Somewhere in America. You called and you just started singing these lyrics and i was thinking... Why is she calling me and singing? And then I realised that you were running the lyrics by me and I thought... You know what? I always wanna be the person you run lyrics by" he admits and she smiles at that, heart fluttering.
"I got off the phone to you and we were about to go on stage and I had this huge smile on my face... And Matty knew we were still friends at this point but he asked me why I was smiling so much and for some reason I couldn't tell him" he sighs, her grip on his shoulders tightens slightly before she eases her hold.
"And then this really good mood was just ruined and I was in a shit mood the whole show and then the next day and I was being so grumpy and tetchy with everyone and Matty just sat me down at one point and was just like man what the fuck is up with you and I just... I spilled. Everything" he explains. She could listen to him talk for hours and often did. He'd call her on tour or she's call him on the road or in a studio somewhere and they'd talk for hours until eventually they'd have to go to bed.
"What did Matty say?" She asks, but as she does, the door is opening and Ambers face is peering round the corner.
"sorry to interrupt... We want you back in here if that's okay... Your manager wants to say a few words" she says, not before raising her eyebrows at the two of them. Ross peels himself away from her, entering to room, leaving amber and her on the balcony.
"You look good together" Amber says before she leaves too.
She sighs before following behind them, everyone in the room cheers as she enters and her manager does a speech, everyone raising their glasses.
"Thank you... And don't forget to stream the album" she says making everyone laugh.
She drinks with a few of her friends, eyes always managing to find Ross'. She's back on the balcony soon enough, this time the door opens and Matty is revealed.
"You've been out here a lot today" he observes as he comes to stand next to her and she nods.
"Feeling a bit overwhelmed?" He asks and she nods again, taking a puff of her cigarette.
"But also look at that view" she says, gesturing Infront of her. They can see most of London from where they stand, the lights twinkling as the sun sets, casting hewes of orange and pink over the skyline.
"You always loved a good view" he says and she smiles at him. After all this time, he still managed to see right through her.
"I did... I do, that hasn't changed" She says, looking back out over the skyline. His eyes hover over her features, her eyes, the beautiful green ones that used to make his heart flutter were glistening in the sunlight, her lips turned up into a smile, painted a nude colour, different from when they were together. Her hair was longer and was in loose curls, she had her nose pierced now, that was new. She had a fair new more tattoos, and he smiles as he slots her box tattoo, directly opposite his. He remembers the day the band begged her to get it. She had changed in some ways: she was more confident, happier. But in some ways she was exactly the same.
"You look lovely" he says and she smiles, not look at him.
"I'm really proud of you" he says, noticing that she's wearing Ross' jacket, something that makes him smile.
"Thank you matty... I'm proud of you too, you guys are smashing it still"
They're silent for a few moments, the both of them staring at the view.
"So Ross tells me he had a thing for me before you" she says, thinking it's better to just come out with it rather than tip toe around it.
"Yeah... Still feel awful for that... Didn't mean for it to happen... You kind of just captivated me" he admits and she can't help but blush. Matty always had a way with words and although they don't make her heart flutter anymore, she still feels privileged that they're directed towards her.
"Wouldn't change it though right?" She asks, properly looking at him now. His hair had sprouted some grey's and he looked more mature than when they were together but he was still the same old Matty.
"Never" he says and it makes her smile.
"Only thing I'd change is the way I treated you..." He says, fiddling with his thumbs.
"I wouldn't" she admits and it confuses him.
"You were an arsehole sometimes sure.... But you were also the best boyfriend I had ever had... I broke up with you not because of the way you treated me when you were going through hell but because it wasn't right... For either of us" she admits and he nods agreeing with her.
"Think Ross is right for you?" He asks and she shrugs.
"I don't know... But I want to see" she says "would you be alright with that? Won't hate me for it?" She asks, turning her body so she's fully facing him. She looks sad and scared she'll hurt him and it reminds him of the days when they used to fight.
"Of course not. Could never hate you' he says and he can't help but pull her towards him.
"I think he's right for you... That man will love you exactly the way you deserve that's for sure" he says as he hugs her. She pulls back to look at him and her hand finds his face. It doesn't tingle like it used to, electricity doesn't strike as she holds him, her hand is soft and instead he feels a dull buzz, not completely fizzled out (both of them knew it never fully would). He can't deny it feels nostalgic and comfortable though.
"Thank you Matty. Really... Thank you" she says and he smiles.
"I'll always love you. You know that right?" He asks and she nods. She would always love him too, not in the way they once did, but they'd always have a piece of there souls entertwined.
"Now go get your man" he says making her chuckle. They share a look and Matty leans down to place a gentle kiss against her lips. A farewell, a thank you, an "Ive missed you", a platonic kiss. They wouldn't ever be able to describe why they needed it, maybe it was years of not seeing each other, maybe it was closure.
She leaves him to finish his cigarette, a huge smile resting against her face as she finds Ross, who smiles down at her as she comes to stand next to him.
His hand finds her waist as she tugs him towards her, making him tumble into her hold.
"You okay?" He asks and she nods. The people who he was having a conversation with were looking at the pair of them, almost expecting something to happen.
"Kiss me" she says and he smirks down at her.
"Right here? In front of everyone?" He asks, looking around the room, but he knew as soon as she said, he'd be leaning down to her.
"right here" she confirms, sighing a blissful sigh when his strong hand grasps her jaw lightly, leaning down towards her slowly. His lips hover over hers and she closes the gap by standing on her tip toes ,lips now flush against each other. His were soft and full against hers, the kiss was firm but undeniably soft, she felt him against every fiber of her being. The whole room seemed to be silent and all she could focus on was him.
She didn't notice their friends cheering them on, or the fact Matty was smiling at the two of them. She just felt Ross pull her closer to him, his hand holding her face gently as his other hand hooked around her waist, practically pulling her off the ground. She notices the way his lips move against hers, taking in her bottom lip, tongue peeking out to run across it before he's fully pulling away, their foreheads touching.
"I've been wanting to do that ever since I met you" Ross says, pressing another peck against her mouth.
"Me too"
"What changed?" He asks and she pulls away, turning to find Matty. Ross sees him, sees the way he smiles at them, raising his glass towards them.
"Thank you" Ross mouths to him before she turns back to him and she's caught his attention again.
"What did he say?" Ross asks and she smiles.
"Nothing I didn't already know" she says, pulling him back to her, their lips meeting again in another passionate kiss.
Note: I'm well aware this will probably get 0 notes but I dunno... This fic makes my soul happy and I love it so please reblog if you love it too, it would mean the world to me.

Omg that cowboy!eddie angst!! Now we need a makeup blurb (only if you feel inclined)
I've let you suffer long enough (24 hours) I will be merciful just this once (I can not stand that they're sad either so this is mainly for me lmao) this is the og blurb that is angsty
The knock on your door came two days later. Long enough that your tears had dried, but eyes still puffy. You didn't expect to see him there; band tee tucked into his wranglers loosely, under his buckle. He wore his nice boots, you noted. The ones he wore when he took you out, not his work ones.
Eddie was leaning against the door, his own dark bags under his eyes that even in his shaded profile from his hat, you could see clearly. He hadn't slept much either.
"Can we talk?" Eddie rasped, eyes rounding softly when they met yours. "Please?"
You relented letting him in to your tiny town house. It felt weird staying here for the last few nights. You'd nearly moved to the ranch after the first month of dating. Eddie had begged you to not renew your lease next month, come stay with him instead, you were there so much anyways.
You sat across from him, your dining room table that he'd helped you fix when the leg got loose. Eddie's knee bounced, nervous and overwhelmed. You looked at him, arms crossed over your chest. You were angry, of course you were. Hurt and angry and overwhelmed still.
"I'm sorry." Eddie said, fingers tracing the pattern of the wood, but his eyes stayed on you. "I-I'm sorry."
"Yeah?" You raised a brow, swallowing back the familiar burn of tears. "For what part?"
Eddie flinched at your tone. He knew he deserved it but it still hurt. "All of it, baby." Eddie sighed lowly, defeated and a little sad. It made your heart lurch. "I just... I didn't think that you'd be jeal- mad about Lola."
"Why wouldn't I be?" You snapped, narrowing your eyes at him. "Seriously, Ed, she was all over you!"
Eddie took a deep breath, regulating and calming. "Because," He sighed, knee bouncing a little harder. "I don't like Lola like that. I don't give a shit about her or-or really anyone else for that matter, honey. They're not you, and I only care about you."
Your lip wobbled, tears pricking the back of your eyes. You thought you'd ran out of tears, surely, after crying yourself to sleep the night you left and most of the day yesterday. "She was all over you, Ed." You pouted, voice wobbling around the words. "She was in my seat when I got back, and she was all over you, and you were letting her."
"I know." Eddie sighed slowly. "And I'm sorry, baby, I really am. I just... My mind wasn't on her like that, and-and I shouldn't have gotten mad that you were upset, because honestly? If that was some guy talkin' to you like that and sittin' in my seat... I'd be pretty pissed off too."
Your lips curled lightly, trying to hide your warm, smug grin. Eddie caught it anyways, moving to make his way around the table, crouching next to your chair. "'m sorry, honey." He muttered, hands rubbing up and down the soft fabric of your pajama pants. "I'm real sorry."
"I'm sorry too." Your lip wobbled. "For being so... jealous." You muttered, blushing at the admission. You felt silly, really. A little juvenile for getting so worked up.
Eddie shook his head, a small smile that had his dimples creasing gently. "Don't be sorry." He muttered, cupping your cheek. "Didn't do nothing wrong, baby."
"But I did." You whimpered, lip wobbling. "I shouldn't have been so mean, and-and I'm not like that usually. I don't want you to think I'm like a controlling bitch, I just-"
"Hey, easy, darlin'." Eddie cooed, thumb gliding over your cheek bone. "I know, alright? Let's just put it to rest. I don't wanna fight anymore."
"Me either." You sighed, heavy but relaxed, like a weight had been lifted off your shoulders. "I missed you."
"I missed you." Eddie muttered, pulling you closer to him. "Sleep like shit when you're not with me, you know that?" He hummed.
You nodded, your lips barely brushing his before his mouth enveloped yours fully, kissing you hard and slow. Hands roaming each others, feet shuffling and scuffing the floor all the way back to your bedroom. Eddie collapsed on top of you gently, the bed groaning with the squeak of the springs, his hands under your shirt, his boots back under your bed.

Yessss!!! I love love love the newest chapter with Jeff! I feel like he was the perfect one to approach Steve, I’m so glad that Steve knows that he wasn’t the only one seeing that he and Eddie were dating.
Melvald’s was the perfect neutral territory for it to happen, too. Steve wouldn’t retreat in public so that was the perfect place for Jeff to sneak up on him. I hope they have a little baseball/hockey date with the rest of the Corroded Coffin boys sans Eddie, I just want them to also be friends with Steve.
Also, even if Robin doesn’t feature in the chapters I’d love to know how she reacts in your mind to first, Steve’s conversation with Eddie and second, the Melvald’s conversation. I’m sure she has so many opinions on both!
The best parts of my days are when I get the notification that you’ve posted a new chapter, thank you so much! 💖💖
Okay, sorry, I've been sitting on this until posting today's update (and also because I was thinking), but see-
Robin's been at work for maybe two hours when Steve pulls up. When he comes into the store, she tries to joke that she knows he said he'd be back to pick her up, but her shift doesn't end for another six hours, and he gives her a little smile, but she can tell he's upset
(Not as upset as the last few days, but definitely a bit shaken up)
He says he's just going to sit in the break room for a bit. He doesn't really want to bother her, he just wants to know she's nearby. Of course, there's a zero percent chance Robin isn't going to abandon the counter to check on Steve (it's a weekday morning, who the hell is going to come rent a movie now?), and she follows him back to ask what happened
(She's spent the last two days with him, in spite of his insistence yesterday that he was fine. She thinks they were supposed to be having "space" today, but she doesn't feel like she needs it. She's fine being attached at the hip if Steve is)
Steve tells her that he'd gone to pick up his stuff from Eddie's place, and after her flurry of offended questions about why he hadn't waited for her, she demands to know what Eddie's done now
Apparently, he wants to make things up to Steve. Wants a second chance if Steve is willing. Wants to romance Steve (Robin snorts at that, and Steve cracks a smile, too). Robin insists that isn't good enough. It's too little, too late. But Steve-
She knows that look on his face. She knows Steve
"You're considering it," she says
Steve shrugs. "It's not like he did this on purpose. He wasn't trying to, like... hurt me, or whatever."
"He wasn't not trying, either." Robin scowls
Steve shrugs again. "I can't make him suffer forever."
"It's been two days, Steve."
"I asked him to think about it for a couple of weeks. Just... be sure about it, y'know?"
Robin sighs. She guesses that's better than immediately folding and saying yes. She knows boundaries are hard for Steve, especially when it comes to the people he cares about; giving them deadlines is easier than giving them hard limits. It's... an improvement, even if she doesn't like it
"You don't have to give him a second chance, you know. I know you feel like you screwed up, too, but you don't owe him anything," Robin reminds him
"I know," Steve says, but she wonders if he really does. "Anyway, I'd feel like a hypocrite if I didn't hear him out, y'know?"
"What do you mean?" Robin asks
Steve gives her a tired little smile. "You guys all gave me a second chance. It would kind of suck if I didn't do the same for someone else."
Robin knows then that Steve is going to say yes to Eddie. She won't be able to talk him out of it; she can only hope she won't have to pick up the pieces again at the end
