To almost quote Dr. Malcolm, life, uh, got in the way. I'll review a cookie on Saturday to catch up. My anzac biscuits arrived in the mail, so they're up today. I went with Bakers' Finest anzac biscuits for these.
These are crunchy with an oat and coconut flavor. The flavor is mostly oat at first, with a more subtle coconut flavor that presents itself later. I don't dislike this as much as some of the other coconut cookies, but I'm still not a fan.

Think about the time I was at my then girlfriend places and the neighbour had made ANZAC biscuit (cookies) and left them on the door step of each unit. Three things to know, 1) I can't handle spice 2) the girlfriend was gluton free so no cookies for her 3) ANZAC biscuits are sweet.
So i am keen for cookies and then I have one and it's spicy. And I am trying to explain no this is not a bit, it just is and it is spicy. I can not work out why and the girlfriend can not verify. I feel like i'm mad, the girlfriend is trying to work out if I'm having an allergic reaction or if I just don't know what the word spicy means.
Anyway went to the dawn service and two weeks later the neighbour confirms there was chill flakes in his family recipe. 🤷♀️
