Miche Zacharias

Most intense eye contact you will ever see, he’s the kind of person to keep direct eye contact when speaking and his gaze tends to intimidate almost everyone.

Talks with Erwin a lot, they have been friends for a long time and is usually one of the few people who can stand Erwin when he starts rambling about the outside and why is it important to lead humanity towards it.

Speaking of his long-time friendship with Erwin, he is the one who introduced Erwin to cigarettes years ago when they were just simple scouts.

The night before they went to the underground to get Levi, Miche questioned Erwin several times to make sure he was aware of the dangers they would encounter and even tried to persuade him to not go.

Will use almost anything he finds as a toothpick.

Has the most insane work out routine, not even Erwin is able to do it without exhausting himself. Only Levi can keep up with him when training and it’s only because he’s an Ackerman.

Has the highest body count in the scouts. I have no proof but no doubts either.

Another whistler, he’s also known for his constant humming and whistling but you can distinguish him from Erwin by the tunes they make.

Refuses to do paperwork, even if Erwin himself orders him to do some reports he will just say no and change the topic. Erwin no longer tries to make him do it.

When he forced Levi to kneel before Erwin in the underground, he was truly surprised by how much strength he had to use in order to push Levi down, he couldn’t understand how someone so small could be that strong.

Pushes his hair back and ties it in a small ponytail when it gets in the way.

Smirks a lot. Has the sassiest smirk ever.

Loves to trash talk people when drunk, especially those in the military police.

When Erwin and him used to go out he was always ready to be Erwin’s wingman.

Whenever Levi is brewing tea he’s always nearby, he isn’t much of a tea person but the smell is comforting and helps him get rid of any nasty smell that may be lingering in his nose.

Once tried to convince Erwin to keep his beard and moustache just like him but ended up asking him to shave because “not everyone can pull that combo”. Truth is he knew Erwin was hot with facial hair and decided to play safe.

Most of the time he doesn’t understand what Hange tends to ramble about but will listen nonetheless and even throw some questions from time to time.

(This one is so nasty sorry) Has a tendency to spit on the floor anytime he feels like it, Levi punches him whenever he sees him do it.

Snores a lot when sleeping. Like, a lot.

Loves to eat bread and will always try to get an extra piece when having dinner.

Nanaba

Loves to read romance novels. Used to believe she was a princess when she was a little girl.

Deals with imposter syndrome and used to doubt herself a lot before Miche gave her a reality check and told her that if she wanted to keep doubting herself then she could do it in another team, this helped her to stop being so self-conscious and focus on her strengths.

Loves flowers and will try to gather some when they’re outside the walls during expeditions.

Never knew how to socialize or make friends so when Miche requested her to be on his team she felt very happy to know someone acknowledged her even when she wasn’t too vocal.

Has beautiful hands, her nails are always neat and polished.

One-time Hange joked about her being the female version of Levi because their hairstyle is similar and she felt really awkward, Miche then said the hairstyle suited her better and she thanked him once more for always having her back.

Her love language is acts of service.

Really likes to spend time with Moblit or Levi, mostly because both are as quiet and reserved as her but also because the three shared the common factor of having a noisier counterpart who exhausted their social battery and knew what it was to need some quiet time.

Used to sleep in as much as she could when she had the chance, if it was a rest day for the scouts she was never seen up until midday.

Knows how to make flower crowns and will make them whenever she has the chance.

Has the sweetest and most adorable laugh ever.

Her nervous stims are shaking her legs when sitting or tapping her fingers rhythmically on whatever surface is nearby.

Owns a pretty decent number of dresses and jewelry, she also owns a single perfume she cherishes a lot because it was brought all the way from Mitras.

Has a sweet tooth, loves candied apples and apple pies.

Moblit Berner

Has the neatest, prettiest handwriting among all the scouts.

Has photographic memory, this is why he’s very good at drawing and at tracking down all the stuff Hange misplaces throughout the day.

The attention to detail he has is incredible, he’s able to catch up with things faster than anyone thanks to this.

Doesn’t know when or how he ended up being Hange’s nanny, but doesn’t mind it because he finds Hange’s mind very fascinating.

Rolls his eyes a lot, he can’t control his facial expressions no matter how much he tries either.

Before Hange even tries to show Erwin a plan, it has to be pre approved by Moblit, 8 out of 10 plans never make it outside their office.

Makes the most hurtful and snarky remarks when mad and makes it seem as if it was just a comment so you can’t complain about his attitude.

Gifted Nanaba a book about floriography and helps her collect flowers when outside the walls, he also likes to draw them before they wilt so she can add them to her collection.

Isn’t too fond of gossip but knows everyone’s secrets because people tend to vent with him because he is so serious and calm.

Admires Erwin a lot and is sometimes intimidated by him.

Loves to hang out with Miche and Erwin, and it’s only after a couple drinks when he can start being chatty with Erwin.

Is the only person who has seen Hange crying more than once.

One time he came across Levi at the kitchen when he was making some tea and to make things less awkward asked him for a cup, now he has to pretend he also likes that bitter tea because whenever Levi makes tea, he makes sure to bring him a cup as well.

Was once asked by Erwin if he could draw someone just by hearing their description, they then worked for weeks to make a drawing of who turned out to be Erwin’s dad.

Cares so much about Hange, not only as his superior but also as his friend, he believes there is no one who could be as brilliant and smart as them.

Levi once asked him to draw a dog and he couldn’t understand why, it wasn’t until Levi named the dog “Sniffer” and placed the drawing on Miche’s office door that he understood what it was for.

Even knowing that they would come to help you almost made the pain seem worth it. The concern plastered across their faces was so heart touching so how could you not call their name when in need of tender love.

ANYWAYS here's a lil sneak peak under the cut (not of y/n absolutely devouring Levi, sadly) of a cute/funny interaction between y/n, hange, and moblit that I just wrote... enjoyyyy

Y/N continues her trek to the front door and upon her arrival, finds Hange and Moblit waiting for her. Hearing her footsteps, Hange turns to face her.

“Wow!” She grins, “Y/N this is perfect!”

“Thank you,” Y/N gives a playful curtsy in response, mood already lifting, “You two look nice as well. Though, I didn’t know you were coming Moblit.”

“Ah, well Hange is dragging me along.” He chuckles.

“That’s a lie!” Hange denies, “You know that my dear Moblit loves me sooooo much! He can’t bear to be without me for too long. He begged to come.”

Y/N looks between the two, amused, “Oh, did he?”

Moblit sighs, “She said drinks are on Erwin. It was totally a bribe.”

“Mhm, sure.” Y/N laughs, “So are we waiting on Erwin or what?”

“Nope!” Hange says popping the ‘p’, “It’s going to take some convincing on Erwins part to get Levi to the bar, so he’s just gonna meet us there.”

“I wonder if he’ll be able to pull it off…” Y/N muses, “Anyways, lets hit the road! I’m ready for a drink!”

Hange links arms with Y/N skipping out the door, “Good, cause Moblit’s buying!”

“H-hey! That’s not what you said before!” The door slams as Moblit chases after them.

Headcanon: after they had lost Moblit and became the new commander, they got insomnia and often hallucinated hearing him / seeing him in nightmares

Story i wrote inspired by the heacanon:

The first few nights after reaclaiming Shiganshina were sleepless for them. They never were the type to feel guilty for something, but this was different. The guilt they felt for Moblit's death was there. They told themselves it wasn't their fault, even Levi explained that to them after noticing them sobbing in the corner of their room one night, but it was difficult to believe in that, knowing Moblit had sacrificed his life for theirs, and that he'd died such a terrible death too.

Their new role in the survey corps wasn't really helping as well. Or maybe it was? They couldn't tell. But, it did keep them up at night. Always signing important documents, going on meetings, and everything Erwin used to do before them. They did all the boring things if it kept their mind occupied, their thoughts away from their feelings.

Yet the feelings were still there.

The moment they closed their eyes, they'd start seeing it all over again. Any loud noise reminded them of Bertholdt's transformation, any campfire they passed by reminded them of how it must've felt for Moblit. How it must've felt to burn alive. They couldn't even imagine how painful it must've been. Or maybe it wasn't? Maybe it was quick? They knew they'd never know how it felt.

The third day going with no sleep must've been too noticable. They fell asleep during a meeting, where they were woken up immediately afterwards, in the end getting no things done.

They went back to their new office. Everything there reminded them of the past, and they hated it. They hated it so much.

They sat down on the chair, looking around the empty room, resting their head on the desk, which was followed by a loud sigh showing how tired they were, as well as silence after that.

The floor creaked as they heard a bunch of slow footsteps.

"Hange! Please, get some sleep!"

A voice said.

"Hm...?"

They tiredly responded, not recognising the voice at first.

"You're not getting enough sleep."

"...mhh....okay.."

They felt their heavy eyes close, the voice was soothing. They felt themselves relax, and eventually fall asleep.

However, they were soon disturbed by someone placing a hand on their shoulder.

"....hhhhhh.."

They groaned, waking up.

"....Mobliiit.."

"Eh..?"

"....not now.."

They sighed.

"Hange, wake up.."

"..ughhhh"

They let out another groan, lifting their head and opening their eyes, finally looking at the person infront of them.

"..heh?..."

They let out a confused sound, before their mind caught up.

"...it's dark you know."

"..Oh- ..yeah....

yeah."

Levi must've noticed, it's not the first time they've accidentally sleeptalked or have called someone a different name. Ever since the last mission, it's happened a lot more often.

They stood up, barely able to stand, their legs trembling.

"Shit, for how long have you not slept four eyes?"

"..."

They looked at their friend with a sad expression. Something that nobody, not even their beloved Moblit saw.

"What about you?"

"..."

Levi didn't reply to their question.

"Go take a bath and go to sleep, you'll need it."

"...."

"..sure."

Hange had changed.

They've gone from being their always smiling, always happy and silly self, to whatever they were now. They were tired, too tired. Yet they kept on going, they couldn't abandon everything just yet.

They really tried to enjoy the time they had left, but really, how could anyone do so after all that. Their new rank as the commander of the survey corps made it even worse.

That might've been the reason they were the one to go, the one to go and save what was now the alliance. They left so quickly, willingly sacrificing their life for the cause, like they all had. Like Moblit had too.

They did feel a bit selfish, and they might've been, leaving their last friend, Levi, all alone. Atleast he understood they couldn't continue going anymore. And this was a golden oportunity. A chance to feel what Moblit had.

Now they knew how the fire felt. It was hot, too hot, burning their skin. It hurt. Was that how Moblit felt too? They wondered in their last moments, when what was left of their body turned into ashes.

You and Moblit shared glances across the silent office while Hanji, Levi, and Erwin were planning a new mission. A small smile made its way on his face and you nod in response as you smile too.

The sneaky glances, tiptoeing around in the kitchen at 3am thinking nobody was there. The quiet whispers, giggling as you struggled to stay quiet in those training exercises. Carrying Hanji to bed together and closing the door like a pair of parents.

Erwin definitely knew. He’s always the fast one to catch onto something. May it be a prank by the 104th or love. So did Levi. Or he caught on after a few weeks. Levi and Erwin shared knowing glances as they stared at the so of you trying to figure a task out for Hanji. Moblit’s hand on the small of your back, or your thigh… maybe your shoulder? Nonetheless they never asked or spoke about it.

The two of you had a special connection. Not even officially dating before he just grabbed your jaw and kissed you. Very obviously you kissed back and ended up tangled in the sheets, peacefully embracing each other from the dangerous world you lived in. It was wonderful… until one of the 104th scouts found you….. oh you guys were to be teased for eternity.

When Moblit sacrificed himself you didn’t know where you were gonna put yourself. Locking yourself into your room, staring at the drawings he filled your books, room and desk with. You trace your finger against the old pencil strokes.

Tears stain the paper and that burning sensation fills your nose once more. Sobbing as you clenched his old uniforms patch.

Atleast you had Erwin and Hanji to comfort you…🥶

Marleyan Hange au

I've wanted to try my hand at a Marley au for ages and well I have been doing it for ages too because this got way out of hand lmao, like this is part one out of at least three (that's how far I've drawn), probably more if I follow my plan to go over the whole canon in little vignettes like these.

There's a bit (a lot) of yapping about the au itself under the cut if you want some context:

First of all disclaimer this isn't like super thought out in the logic sense and when you spot plot holes just uh ignore them ig xD this whole thing started from me just wanting to draw a few specific scenes

So basically Hange is born and raised in Marley, trained into a warrior and sent to scout out Paradis a few years before the Marley kids in canon do. In the pic there's a little bit of their childhood, they and Zeke are friends and I gave them a little sister for reasons:)

Hange's parents are fanatically loyal to Marley and so were they before they actually were sent out to war as a warrior candidate and saw how Marley uses eldians as disposable weapons, which caused them to question how things were and become kind of disillusioned. They kept their true feelings to themself and continued going along with it, feeling that gaining honorary status for their family is the best thing they could do for them and it would give their sister Essie a peaceful life.

After they come back from the war they and Zeke are promoted to warriors, Zeke gets the beast titan and Hanged gets... Also the beast titan?? Or maybe jaw I really don't know XD (here's kinda the biggest plothole so if you're super attached to the canon lore and rules I'm sorry idgaf I'm just here to draw freaky titan and put blorbo in situations so there's an extra titan now) anyway it's based on a hyena, I also thought about a kangaroo but that felt too powerful, imagine that thing jumping super high and slamming down to cause an earthquake or something.

Anyway Hange is sent to Paradis to look for the coordinate. They immediately fall in love with odm-gear the minute they see it since they're still their ever curious scientist self. This leads them to join the military, though they justify it to themself by researching what the enemy can do. They find that they actually really like life on Paradis, not the least because they can be their true self and most people accept them as they are, whereas in Marley they had to assimilate to stricter gender roles.

Eventually a certain Levi is scouted into joining the survey corps and Hange's immediately interested in him (totally for research purposes, yeah) and it takes a while but suddenly they realise Levi is their closest friend and maybe not just a friend anymore, which seems mutual but they dance around the subject until Levi's had enough and just straight up kisses them. They get together and on the other hand Hange is the happiest they've ever been but on the other they're panicking inside cause they know this can't last and the guilt is eating them up

Canon happens pretty much as it does, Reiner & co are sent to Paradis cause Hange has taken too long without presenting results. Once the kids are in the military Hange makes sure they don't blow Hange's cover even when the kids are revealed to be titans. The Marley kids are shocked when they realise Hange is in a relationship with Levi and have differing opinions on it, but Hange can be scary when they want to to shut their questions down

Shit has been going down, it's the night before they'll leave for Shiganshina and Hange knows this is the last peaceful time they're going to spend with Levi, because tomorrow they're going to have to go back to their old life and fulfill their mission.
