what happens if Orca!Eclipse interacts with a mute y/n who cannot speak or sing? Would he still try to get them to sing with him or would he be understanding of their situation?

He would be greatly angered by your silence and keep coaxing (threatening) you to speak until it becomes clear that you're making a lot of frantic hand gestures. He reels it back enough to register that you're trying to communicate with him in this foreign manner. He's swift to pick up on the words and phrases and would communicate them back, however, he's all the more obsessive protective over you because a siren without a voice is a very vulnerable creature and he can only assume that a human without a voice would be in just as dire circumstances. He would mourn that he couldn't ever hear you sing, but he would understand that you're mute and thus, takes it upon himself to keep you safe from everything and everyone whether you want him to or not.

hey! omg, thank you for the ask ❤️I totally am, I have like, 95% of the next chapter written. I think I just was overwhelmed by the attention it got, because none of my other works have gotten this much. 😅

Therefore, I've been trying to get anyone to beta read it, talk about the plot with me, because I sort of got anxious that what I have so far isn't as good as the first chapter was.

Ultimately, too, I also don't know where exactly it'll go in the future past the third or fourth chapter (the third is already planned/written in snippets already) major plot wise, but yeah. So... if anyone would like to beta read it for me/discuss plots, I'd be totally up for that. I also might not find anyone, and that's fine. I just think it'll take longer bc I've been doubting myself when it comes to this series.

I would love to see Mark's POV of Mimicry. I know we probably aren't going to revisit it as if it were the present, but it just sounds so interesting. No wonder the plan worked for so long + he felt super manipulated. I didn't even think about his perspective when I read Mimicry, but a lot of the things that felt normal while reading the mimics POV are absolutely horrifying when reading Mark's POV, and I appreciate the parts we do get to see from Mark thinking about what happened like in part 2 or some parts in TGS. I like seeing both sides because you want to root for both of them, but they also can't really both win without a compromise.

Who knows? Maybe I'll write it as a little side project story someday after the main plot is all done and wrapped up! I think it would be really interesting, too, and people are always welcome to explore the idea themselves with art/writing, etc.! :)
