Title: “It's Late”

Irene hates how cold and dark her apartment is. The vacant living room reminds her to invest in a couch or a futon, but it’s all just a distraction in the form of empty promises. She chooses to live this life, yet she can’t help but hate the silence. 

The rookie actress opens the fridge only to see its contents are the same leftovers she’s eaten for the past 2 days. Wanting something else for a change, she looks to order something online. She’s about to order some malatang, but remembers how Chorong was craving it the last night they were together. It’s an obscure memory, but the emotions rise enough that Irene decides she will no longer get anything delivered. Ramen it is. 

As the water boils, she looks through her emails. Her agent had forwarded her various invitations to award show galas and movie release after-parties. Irene knows she should start attending them again, but she still doesn’t feel sure if she was ready. 

The celebrity knows she has a social status to upkeep and everyone’s waiting for her return to the spotlight. She’s lost track of how much time has passed, but regardless of how high that count is, she isn’t sure if she’s capable of attending such a high stakes event alone. 

Maybe she doesn’t have to go stag. She never did anyways. Changsub could carry a conversation when Irene needed to take a step back. Chorong always warned her that he might need to be supervised when he spots expensive bourbon. Byulyi is another safe option. Irene hasn’t really talked to her since the memorial. 

It’s not the same. Changsub won’t squeeze Irene’s hand after a reporter grills her. Byulyi won’t distract everyone around them with dolphin squeaks of a laugh. 

She aggressively snaps the ramen package in half. The sudden motion causes the plastic bag to open in the middle, allowing the blocks of dry noodles to fall. Irene hisses when the boiling water hits her skin.

The idea of “replacing” Yongsun and Chorong never sat well with her. The instant, internal denial makes Irene feel like she’s emotionally regressing, but she has to remember the baby steps she’s already taken, like settling their shared investments and moving out of their apartment. They were all hard decisions to make all by herself, but Irene did it. 

She still wishes she didn’t.

Irene wishes she could still come home to Yongsun working out in the living room and Chorong preparing dinner in the kitchen. Irene wishes she could complain to her roommates about forgetting to take out the trash. Yongsun will sweet talk her way out of Irene’s annoyance and Chorong will ask her about her day.

The two of them weren’t just people Irene lived with. It might've seemed like that more than 12 years ago when they shared a college dorm together. Their relationship evolved into a friendship with all the classes they shared. They became sisters when they cried about breakups and job rejections. 

That was all taken away from Irene after a phone call with the police and within the white walls of the funeral home. 

Irene has learned to stop blaming herself for what happened, but it’s never been easy for her to cope with her losses. 

She can afford new furniture and try new food and attend important events alone, but the lack of Chorong and Yongsun’s presence manifests into a discomfort she doesn't know how to battle just yet. 

When the ramen is done cooking, she grabs a bottle of soju from the fridge and settles down in her breakfast nook. Irene always thought that this table was too small for the three of them. Irene always thought that with less people, it would take longer for her to consume the leftover alcohol. At an alarming rate, empty bottles easily occupied the empty spaces.

As she waits for her meal to cool down, she browses through social media. She takes a swig out of her bottle before scrolling through comments. 

She doesn’t shine as much as she used to. 

Did she get plastic surgery? 

It’s amazing that she can smile after what has happened.

The actress is no stranger to criticism or hate comments. It comes with the job. Short comments can have different meanings and need context that she’ll never receive.    

People can hate on her as much as they want, but as long as she has a schedule, she couldn’t care less. 

That's what they reminded her then. That's what she tells herself now.

She’s half a bottle in until her emotions finally loosen up. Irene slams her phone on the table and stands up. She marches to her bedroom, disregarding her meal and her device. 

Who is she kidding?

No matter how many positive comments there were, no matter how many jobs she could take, they wouldn't be able to uplift her in the same way her friends once did. 

Irene tries her best to commemorate their support by recalling memories and the words of encouragement that they used. She knows Yongsun would be proud of her new project. She can imagine Chorong telling her to ignore the malicious comments. She'll remember them as much as she can, but falls back to the reality that she has to do this alone.

Nonetheless, she can’t always hold herself up, especially on a particularly low day. 

Fear and stress suddenly engulf her. The intensity of loneliness overwhelms her and it’s times like this when she dearly misses her best friends.  

She thinks about how her counselor tells her how “time will heal” and that “work will be a good distraction”. The accident happened last winter and it's nearing their birthdays. Clearly, it’s not enough time to mourn, yet Irene busies herself with this project since it's been penned in her calendar for nearly a year ago and she needs some income.

To an extent, her counselor is right. The pain from loss doesn’t hurt as much. Irene has stopped feeling guilty for something she can’t control. Nonetheless, it’s hard to cope with the idea of being alone again. Irene knows how to cook her own food and to clean the dishes, but forcing herself to do all these things has been mentally taxing when all she wants to do is curl up in a ball and cry.  

She unbuttons her shirt and shrugs it off. There’s probably a fresh set of pajamas in her closet, but the feeling of Yongsun’s old, plush blanket against her bare skin will ground her.

Irene looks down and smiles at the tattoo on her bicep. The ink was an impulse decision after the three of them landed their first jobs. Time had passed and the shading needed some retouching, but she won’t ever remove the panda or the dragon, even if it had cost her some roles. 

“Why are we getting it on our bicep again?” It’s ironic Chorong whines about it now, considering her tattoo artist is halfway done with the second animal of their piece.

Irene stares at the outline on her own arm. Although she’s pretty committed to the idea, seeing the stencil on her skin intimidated her. Thinking answering her question will rid her cold feet, she responds, “Isn’t it supposed to be the least painful area?” That’s what their tattoo artist advised them.  

Yongsun admires herself in the mirror and flexes her arms. “It’s on my bicep because you two are my strength.” 

Irene rolls her eyes at the corny comment, but smiles. Yongsun initially suggested that they placed their tattoos on the chest, presumably since it’s easy to hide. With that answer, Irene can imagine her actual reasoning is because she keeps them close to her heart. Her friends might be intolerably greasy, but she loved everything about them. 

Another tattoo artist calls Yongsun to the back so they can apply the skin film. With her absence, the room grows quiet, minus the rock music in the background. Considering how tense Chorong looked, Irene knew she should try to distract her.  

“How bad does it hurt?” Maybe she could’ve chosen a different topic, but she knows Chorong will ease up after talking about her feelings.

Chorong exhales and her eyebrows soften. She looks towards Irene and smiles. “It’s not bad, but being stabbed a million times is definitely uncomfortable. 

Irene walks over and grabs Chorong’s other hand. “You’ll get through this.” She looks down at Chorong’s tattoo-in-progress and smiles at the nearly completed dragon and panda. The tattoo artist was starting on the rabbit. “Yong’s dragon is already done!”

Chorong closes her eyes and squeezes Irene’s hand. “I know I will. Pain is just temporary.”

Tears fall down Irene’s cheeks. She’s too exhausted to bawl her eyes out, but she won’t hide the pain. 

Pain is temporary. Irene will be able to move past this. Irene knows that Chorong and Yongsun are still a pillar of strength for her. Nonetheless, she does wish she could be in their arms or hear words of comfort again.   

The positive reinforcement helps Irene’s sleep with less anxiety. The dread of tomorrow feels less intense. 

For now, she’ll seek comfort in the reminder that Chorong and Yongsun will always be with Irene, just like their permanent tattoo memorialized on her skin.

Inspiration: One of the things I do to inspire myself while writing is listen to music. I’ve always been musical (piano, viola, and singing) and music can really set my mood/make me think of a scenario. Occasionally when I’m just listening to music in my car, a song pops up and I’m like…"Oh that makes me think of (enter character here)!"

Genre: ?? I have absolutely no clue how to classify this?? Mood music??? Headcanon inspiration??

Category: I guess fluff, but some of these songs are indirectly or directly suggestive/explicit so 😬. But nothing explicit actually in this post.

in terms of bts contract renewals coming up.. i think bts will go in three directions.

1) first being that bts remain as a group but more heavily focused as individual/solo activities to the point where they pull a APINK where multiple members leave the label but remain the group. honestly could see tae/jin doing this and joining a acting company and etc.

2) bts remain in hybe and simply have contract changes and have them accommodate to their demands seeing how hybe really needs them.

3) bts completely leave the company and create their own label/join a different one.

or complete worst case scenario is that nothing changes and the boys remain the same. I leaning towards the first or third option i truly don’t want to see bts under hybe anymore but at the same time hybe has sm control on their legal rights as a group and possibly their masters and etc. it’d be really really messy and hybe definitely wouldn’t back down without a fight

Alright, let me go through each of the three scenarios.

Why would they pull a BPink? Their career trajectories are very different. There is no need theoretically to leave the group in order to focus on other solo projects, whatever those may be.

This is a more realistic scenario because it's similar to how other groups have managed when the members started releasing solo music. They can renegotiate their current contract in order to have their demands met. Given how they talk publicly about the company and the group, this seems like the highest possibility.

BTS don't have the money to buy themselves out. Yeah, they can make their own label, but without some serious money, they won't have all the music they released until now and a lot more other things that are trademarked by Hybe. Unless they want a clean slate, but it's highly unlikely. Having BTS under the BH label is still a important component for Hybe. Their stocks dropped a lot even when BTS only mentioned they're taking a hiatus. Leaving the company would be a disaster. It would be like dropping the bomb. I'm not saying it's absolutely impossible, but BTS and their company are way too connected. I mean, in a fictional world, it would be cool to see them pull a move like that, Succession style, but I wouldn't go that far.

2022 kpop recap

in light of the new year I've decided to talk all by favourite releases/groups that either came out this year ( I've also included songs i discovered  this year), i won’t be  including  any releases I've already reviewed. in no particular order.

catch & release-H1 KEY: i found this song like a couple months ago and i love it so much, the only way i can describe is if ITZY released flip a coin by BILLIE, it’s so good.

shakalaka - dal shabat: this song is sooo good i love the instrumental it  sounds glittery. i wish there were performance videos because i really wanna see the choreography.

forever 1 - SNSD: this song is so amazing, i already have a soft spot for group reunions but this song slaps, i feel like if you enjoyed queendom by red velvet or scientist and TTT by twice this song is right up your alley. also whoever was responsible for the final chorus deserves a raise for  the pure amount of emotion in her voice.

designer nct 127: i love this song so much it’s so nice, i love R&B so much anyway but SM’s producers  really understand the genre.

copycat - APINK CHOBOM: the vibes this song have are immaculate, there's something so nostalgic about it.

AOA: I've listened to AOA casually  but i recently decided to check out their Bsides and they have so many good ones, my recommendations are: cherry pop, super duper, 10 seconds and short hair(which isn’t a b side but still bangs)

F(X): similar to aoa I've always enjoyed their music but i’ve never really dived into their discography besides title tracks my recommendations are: love, chu ♡ , mr boogie, when  i’m alone and every bside off the pink tape album.

lovelyz: my recommendations are: obliviate, my little lover, babydoll and dream in a dream.

 chesire - itzy: this song slapped so hard in fact the entire album was fire.

baby i miss you - 2NE1:this song is so pretty, for some reason it reminds me of new jeans like if this song was released now it would go to new jeans.

tell me- wonder girls: she bangs idk what to tell you, i’ve started  listening  to this song every time i do my makeup and honestly  it’s changed my world view. 

onlyoneof:yeah so i just realised i haven’t mentioned how much i love  onlyoneof on this blog yet which is crazy because out of all the 4th gen boy groups i keep up with  onlyoneof have one of my favourite discographies, they remind of NCT and stray kids  because people kinda shit on them  because they have experimental title tracks which is so sad because they have some of the most back arching,toe curling, eye rolling Bsides known to mankind. anyway my recommendations are: coy, fragile, Dora maar, PicassO, instinct, tear of gOd, night flight, seamless mind, gaslighting, skinz, suit dance, sage, onlyoneof you, blossom, libido and savanna.

onf:nothing but bangers, i need all of tou to stop sleeping on them immediatley, my recommendations are: dry ice, beautiful beautiful, my genesis, belle epoque, we must love, summer poem, summer rain, the dreamer and the realist (the trabsition from the dreamer to the realist legit  made my draw drop) 

sf9: are you are hardcore fan of taemin ? have you been missing his music since his deptare to the milatery? are you a fan of wonho? do you love spider by hoshi, limbo by jun and pose by kino? then i have just the boy group for you, my recommendations are: fire, savour, trauma, good guy, scenario, now or never, summer breeze, tear drop(it sounds like a boy group version of panorama) and their cover of taemins move.

ciipher:are you a stay? are your favourite stray kid songs awkward silence,gone days and get cool? THEN STAN CIIPHER my recommendations are: i like you, solo, fire, blind, moon  night, fame, you and stay.

mirae: DO IT FOR DONGPYO but for real my recommendations are: drip drop,juice, killa,  snow prince and marvelous.

A/N: Honestly, I wasn’t sure what disease or condition could be associated with sight loss like this, but I did some research and there’s so many? I was pretty general with what was causing the eye loss in the story, since the prompt was rather vague, but I hope it’s still okay and not confusing. I also hope that everyone enjoys our very first Apink scenario!

It had been weeks that you’d been trying to tell her. Weeks of being cut off before you could say that you had something to tell her, weeks of being unable to really talk to her because she’d been too busy. You’d really only seen her a few times, and in those few times, there hadn’t been any time. Namjoo was just too busy, and you couldn’t tell her that every day that went by, your eyesight was getting worse. Your doctor had told you that you might end up loosing it completely, and just the idea had made you panic. But now it was happening, and you couldn’t confide in the one person you loved the most.

You chewed on your lip, staring at your phone through the thick glasses perched on your nose. It seemed like they got thicker every time you went to get your eyes checked, and now even this prescription was getting blurry. Still, you squinted at the phone screen, reading the messages from Namjoo.

You followed her to the table and sat down across from her, raising your eyebrows.

“Are you at least getting paid well?” She nodded.

“Thankfully. After all this is over, I’ll take you somewhere nice for a vacation or something.” A pain in your heart added to the pain in your head, but you just continued smiling. You really didn’t know if you’d be able to go anywhere with her. Not with how things were looking.

“I guess I’m lucky to have a wealthy girlfriend,” you said, prompting her to roll her eyes and shake her head, laughing.

“Oh, shut up. I’m hardly wealthy.”

“Sure,” you said, just as there was a knock at the door. Namjoo jumped up from her seat, looking towards the door.

“That should be the takeout, right? I’ll get it.”

“Thanks,” you said, and she shot you a grin before making her way over to the door. You let out a quiet sigh as she walked away and stood up yourself to head to the bathroom, mostly to wash your hands but also to see what other painkillers you could take, because the headache was getting worse by the moment. As you closed the door, looking at yourself in the little mirror, a sharp pain flashed through your head and everything went dark. For a moment, you wondered if the lights had gone out. And then it hit you with the next wave of pain, and you fell to the ground, screaming.

The world was black and spinning, but you could hear something clatter in the kitchen and footsteps running to the bathroom door.

“Oh my god, (Y/N), are you okay?” The door flew open, you could feel the air on your face as it opened, and you could feel tears on your cheeks. But you still sat in disbelief and pain, not accepting what was happening.

“I can’t see,” you choked out, beginning to shake. “Namjoo, I can’t see and my head hurts.” You heard her gasp and jumped when she touched your arm. You knew from the way her fingers fluttered across your skin and the hitch of her breath that she was panicking.

“Okay, I’m going to call an ambulance, just-. I’m right here. Don’t freak out.” You felt one of her hands close around yours, and you closed your eyes as the pain got worse, willing it all to be a dream. But it wasn’t. And as you felt yourself drifting in and out of consciousness, you could hear Namjoo beside you, pleading with you to stay awake as the phone rang.

When you came back to, you were in a hospital bed, the pain in your head subsided. Your eyes were still closed, and you could hear the humming of machines and the chatter of nurses in the halls. As you laid there listening, you remembered what had happened, and your heart dropped. There had been times that you’d momentarily lost sight with headaches, but never had it been that bad, or for that long.

Finally, you opened your eyes, and immediately squinted. The world wasn’t black like it had been, but blurry and bright. You could only make out a few colors, and looking hurt your eyes.

“(Y/N)?” You jumped a bit before you recognized Namjoo’s voice and turned towards her. You couldn’t really see anything but the outline of her head, even if you squinted. “Oh thank goodness, you’re awake.”

“Yep,” you rasped, closing your eyes again to avoid the strain. “Sorry that I scared you.” You heard her move beside you, and then her hand was squeezing yours.

“What’s going on, (Y/N)?” Her voice sounded scared and strained. “What just happened.” You took a deep breath, not knowing how to respond. How could you tell her that you’d been trying to tell her about your illness for weeks, but she’d just been too busy? Still, you couldn’t go around it.

“I’m... I have a disease that’s causing me to loose my sight.” You heard her suck in a surprised breath.

“How- How long have you known?”

“A little while now,” you said, voice quiet. The entire hospital seemed to stand still. “My eyes have been getting worse and worse. I was going to tell you, but. There was never time.” You didn’t have to see her face to know that she felt bad as she squeezed your hand again.

“I’m so sorry,” she whispered, and you felt her other hand on your arm. “I’m so sorry that I was too busy to listen. Had I known, I’d... I wouldn’t have made you go through this alone.”

“It’s okay,” you replied, feeling all too emotional. You really didn’t want to cry anymore.

“No, it’s really not. And I didn’t even notice. I’m so sorry.” You swallowed and wished that you could see her, wished that you could tell her that everything would be okay. Wished you could tell yourself that everything would be okay. “Is the sight loss permanent?”

“I don’t really know. My doctor said there’s a risky procedure that we could try, but that my eyes will never be the same.” She squeezed your hand again, and the air was tight. You wondered what face she had on right then, although you could imagine it from knowing her for so long. You knew that she was probably looking upset, nose wrinkled in a way she only did when she was trying not to cry.

“Well. Whatever it is. I’ll be here for you.” You heard her swallow and shift in her seat beside your bed. “I know I wasn’t the greatest girlfriend to you recently and I want to fix that. I love you a lot and I don’t want you to have to go through any of this alone.” There was that emotional feeling again, bubbling up in your chest.

“I love you too,” you said, a bit choked up. “Thank you. It’s really hard.”

“I can only imagine.” She moved her chair closer to the bed, the old plastic squeaking on the linoleum floor. “Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?”

“A hug would be nice.” You imagined that she was probably giving you a soft smile, and then her hands left yours and the chair squeaked again as she got up.

“Open your arms, then.” You did, and she filled them, hugging you tight with all the emotions that you knew had been overflowing since she got there. It felt nice and safe in her arms, and just the hug made you feel better. Then, as she pulled away, she pressed a gentle kiss to our forehead, sealing the deal as her hand slipped back into yours. “It’s just a little break.” That’s what she had said before you parted ways three months ago. It had been a time when you had both been stressed in your personal lives, the tension leading to arguments and causing you to spend less time together. You had doubted her love for you, and even though she had assured you she did still love you, nothing had hurt less than the simple apprehension. Especially, when she had requested to take time away from each other, until both of your lives had become less stressful and you had sorted out things for yourselves.

At first you hated the idea, but when the tension had continued, you realized it might not be so bad for your relationship. But now, three months later, you wished she had never even come up with the request. It hurt your heart whenever you saw her social media, hanging out with people you had never seen before. What if she met someone better than you? What if she forgot about you? Evil thoughts flooded your brain, and you pushed them away as much as you could.

You were on the way to a party of your friends’, and you couldn’t keep thinking about H/N when you were supposed to have fun. It would only ruin your night. So you shook your head, trying hard to think of other things. But little did you know, fate had other plans for you.

You spotted her the very second you had walked through the front door. There was a room full of people. But you saw her first, even though she stood outside by the pool, barely in your sight. How could you not have seen her, when her hair looked perfectly soft, and her fishnet tights hugged her legs under her black skirt and she was smiling like that? You felt a sting through your chest at how beautiful she was. 

“Y/N! You made it!” your friend pulled you out of your thoughts.

“I’m a little late, but yeah, I’m glad I made it!” you said. You were happy to see your friend, but you weren’t sure you would have come, had you known she would be there.

For a while you talked to people, but you couldn’t control your eyes from searching for her frame in the crowd now and then. What would you say if you encountered her? The mere thought of having to leave the party without her cut like splitters of glass through your heart.

Then, one second you were looking at her, standing outside, almost all by herself, the next her eyes met yours. There was no walking away now. Your heart wouldn’t have allowed it either way. So, you swallowed hard and walked towards the terrace door. The closer you got, the more beautiful she was, and the tighter your chest felt.

There were few people outside, and you were glad they weren’t standing close enough to hear anything you were going to say. If you ever had the courage to talk to her first. Of course you didn’t, and she spoke before you did.

“I didn’t know you were going to be here,” she said. She tucked her hair behind her ear, a sign of nervousness.

“It was a spontaneous decision,” you replied. “Are you here alone?”

“Of course I am,” she said.

“What do you mean ‘of course’?” you said. “I thought maybe you’ve found someone else already.”

You were surprised at how honest you were being. In fear of what she might answer, you hesitated to look into her eyes. When you finally did, they held a look of disbelief.

“Are you insane?” she asked, but not rudely. It was a rathe gentle tone, in fact. “Where would I find someone better than you?”

A smile spread on your face without you even noticing. She returned it, as if she had just told you a secret that would always stay only between the two of you. A sudden urge welled up inside of you. You wanted to hug her, be close to her, kiss her.

“Do you wanna go for a walk?” you asked instead. It was your thing, going for late night walks. She knew, and grinned whilst nodding. When she grabbed your hand and intertwined it with yours, your heart fluttered as if it was the first time you had held hands. It felt so insanely familiar, walking beside her, and yet after three months, it was so new to you.

The streets were almost empty at this late hour. A soft, warm breeze blew through the summer air and somewhere you heard the noises of an owl in a tree. But your favorite sound of the nighttime had always been her voice.

“I can’t believe it’s only been three months,” she spoke. “It felt like a year.”

“Those were the longest three months of my life,” you replied. For a while, you walked in comfortable silence. Now that both of you knew you felt the same way, there was no need to rush anything. Softly, she squeezed your hand and you returned the gesture.

“I saw the cutest dog today, it was your favorite breed,” you suddenly blurted out. She giggled happily at the thought. And suddenly it all came out like a waterfall. Only now you realized how much you had wanted to share with her while she was gone. Even the silliest and most uninteresting stories you told, they suddenly felt special and important when you told them to her. And she explained how her three months had gone, all the small details she had missed about being with you.

She wasn’t just your girlfriend, she was your best friend. Finally, you had her back, and there was no second you ever wanted to spend away from her anymore. She chuckled when she noticed you staring at her.

“What is it?” she asked.

“You look beautiful, that’s all,” you replied. When she grinned and blushed, you realized just how much you had missed making her feel pretty. Had anyone told her she was beautiful while you couldn’t? You hoped she knew every day.

“I’ve got a crazy idea,” she suddenly said, pulling you out of your thoughts. Your gaze followed hers and you knew instantly what she was talking about.

“That’s not just crazy, that’s illegal,” you said, matter-of-fact. In the direction she was looking stood a massive mansion, but it wasn’t the house she had been looking at. It was the gigantic pool in the garden.

“The lights are off, either they’re asleep or not at home,” she went on ignoring your worries. She had always been the impulsive one. Every part of you knew she was a bad influence but what could you do? You loved her.

“Is this gonna get us arrested?” you asked, while you were both already walking towards the fence. It was risky, but you were too high on love to care.

“I don’t think you can get arrested for having fun,” she said.

“You’re crazy,” you laughed, while you watched her climb the fence with ease and then followed her. Carefully, at first, you walked across the yard towards the dark water. At the edge, you sat down and let your feet hang in.

“Is this all you came here to do? You’re trespassing to refresh your feet?” she joked, making you laugh.

“Fine,” you said, slowly sliding your figure into the lukewarm water. “Are you coming in?”

You didn’t need to tell her twice. She pushed her hair back with wet hands, messing it up a little. But you thought it still looked perfect. Before you knew it, she was splashing water onto you, and you squealed, trying to cover your face with your hands. Knowing you had to get her back, you splashed the water back onto her and she quickly escaped to the other side of the pool, giggling.

When she was out of reach, you stopped and simply looked at her. The second she returned your gaze, you felt the wild urge to be closer to her. So you slowly swam over to her. In defense, she held up her hands.

“I’m not gonna splash you,” you laughed. “Promise.”

When you were right in front of her, she gently took your face into her hands. A bit of your mascara had washed off, and she used her fingers to wipe it away.

“You’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever met,” she said. “I love you.”

“I love you too,” you said. Then, you kissed her. If there had been fireworks exploding in the sky above you at that moment, you wouldn’t have noticed. If the house had been on fire, you would have never known. All there was was her, pulling your body flush against hers. She tasted like home and adventure all at once. Soon, you felt her tongue against yours, and her hands on your sides, wandering over your chest and playing with the hair at the nape of your neck.

You noticed her jumping and you caught her, so she could wrap her legs around your waist. Her warmth radiated onto you, and you felt overwhelmed. After you had missed her for so long, she was now all over you, and her kisses were so intense, and her boobs were pressing against yours tightly. When she moved to kiss your neck, you went to grab her shirt and pulled it over her head. By now her hair was drenched and you tasted the pool water on her skin when it ran down her face.

“Touch me,” she whispered into your ear, and you nodded, of course you did. You would have done anything for her. Just when your hands reached down to cup her ass, a loud voice startled you.

“Go home or I’ll call the police on you!” the voice of a lady called from the neighboring house and you instantly threw your hand over your mouth.

“Let’s get out of here, before she really calls the cops on us,” H/N said, but she wasn’t scared like you. She was giggling while she fished for her shirt and pulled it back over her head. You looked around but couldn’t see the person the voice had belonged too. Maybe it was better this way. You’d only be more embarrassed.

She took your hand when you both pulled yourself out of the pool.

“Thanks for not ratting us out!” she called when you two headed back toward the fence. The invisible voice spoke again.

“You’re glad I hate my neighbors!” she said. As if on cue, you both started to laugh, quietly. H/N only let go of your hand when you had to climb the fence. When you were a few minutes away from the mansion, that’s when you really laughed with her.

“I can’t believe we swam in some rich idiots pool and didn’t get the police called on us because she hated the owners,” you giggled, and she joined you.

“That’s fate being on our side,” she said. It didn’t matter whether you had already believed in fate or not, she now made you believe more than ever.

At a red light, you stopped. Even though the street was completely empty. She was holding both your hands and bending towards your ear.

“I got a new bed last week.” She said, her voice dripping like honey. “Want me to show you?”

“I think I would like that,” you smirked at her, pulling her after you, when the light had turned green.
