lately i have just been so obsessed with like apocalypse byler so here is apocalypse Will in a GREEN !!! coat..

as you can see, i absolutely love drawing backrounds…

mike is going to get hurt and hopper is going to make him a homemade cast and say, "it's not much but it's enough for now kiddo" and mike will smile and will is going to draw on his cast and he's gonna do it so gently and hold mike like he's something precious and look at him so reverently that something in mike's chest tugs and it's like years worth of feelings and repression and holding something deep inside that it's made a cavity of it's own to live in unraveling all at once and their voices are breathless and breathy at the same time and mike thanks him for the drawing of mike the paladin on the cast and says he'll cherish it forever in a jokey voice except he thinks it might not be a joke at all and he looks at the heart on the design for the shield a little too long and moves to ask will something he doesnt know when they get interrupted. the duffers told me themselves.

st5 final battle scenario where dustin has to physically drag mike away from a seemingly dead Will because Mike’s injured and can’t carry Will himself and the world’s collapsing around them. Mike, screaming and sobbing while dustin tries to stay strong and comfort him but also not let him go because he’s already lost eddie, and now seemingly lost will, and they don’t know if max is gonna make it, so he can’t lose anyone else. Lucas, making a run for it towards Will and hauling the arm of a terrifying still and silent Will across his shoulders and dragging him towards a hysterical mike, towards the portal.

they get through the portal and all Lucas and Dustin can do is watch as mike immediately grabs Will and holds him and begs him to wake up. it’s not safe to go outside yet, even outside of the upside-down, they’re not sure if vecna is truly defeated or if all the creatures are still roaming hawkins, waiting to kill them. all they can do is watch while mike and will sit there, on the ground, and Will doesn’t move a muscle. All they can do is watch when pulling Will through the portal was painfully familiar to watching his body be pulled out of the water. All they can do is watch while mike sobs and tells will he loves him and how sorry he is, and how he can’t lose him.

vecna’s words ring in lucas and dustin’s ears: “I want you to watch.”

Will raises his eyebrows. “Is that why you came in here?” he repeats, looking back down at the blue flannel. “To ask me about the weather in Lenora?”

“Kind of,” Mike says, and then, “well no, not about the weather specifically. I just– I wanted to talk to you.”

“Oh.” And Will looks a lot more surprised at this, actually, than the idea that Mike might have just wanted to come to his room to make small talk about unseasonably frigid California winters. “Okay. What about?”

“Anything.” The response is embarrassingly immediate. “Everything. I don’t know. I missed you.”

Hawkins, 1986. The world is ending, there are too many people in Mike's house, and, to top it all off, he and Will have some things to talk through.

byler stuck in the UD alone scenario where will shows mike how he contacted joyce through the lights. when they start playing with it, theres closeups of their faces then mike looks at will with so much yearning on how the lights illuminate his face perfectly and tender, emotional music starts playing in the background. can i get an amen

Apocalypse byler head canons because I need it to happen in season 5:

-Mike wears is hair in a ponytail or half up half down hairstyle a lot because it’s hard to mange and take care of with everything going on (the first couple times he sees it Will gets flustered by how good Mike looks)

-Mike and Will sleep tangled up and clinging to each other because they’re scared that if they close their eyes for to long the other will disappear

-desperate forehead touches whenever there’s a close call

-Flustered Mike when Will tells him to get behind him while he shoots at at an attacking demo-dog

-Mike praising Will and telling him how cool he is and Will having to use all his self control to keep calm

-They would sit by the fire they built to keep warm and quietly talk about old times and make little jokes while they are pressed close together trying to ignore how they both flinch whenever they hear a noise

-Mike wakes up sobbing from a nightmare where he loses Will again and Will comforts him telling Mike he’s not going to leave and they are in this together all while holding him tightly to his chest and running a hand through his hair

-Will covered in upside down goo and spores tending to Mike’s wounds and a potentially concussed Mike jut gazes lovingly at Will and tells him he’s Beautiful while reaching a hand up to cup his cheek

-Will grabs Mikes hand to lead him away from danger and they just don’t let go

-to calm Will down to if he starts to panic or have flashbacks Mike will hold him while humming Wills favourite song
