The fact that Akutagawa was exactly there when Atsushi needed him is both sweet, and funny. How long has he been tailing Atsushi? Did he watch Atsushi seemingly rob a bank? Did Akutagawa infiltrate the Sky Casino? Was he panicking when Atsushi would disappear to Anne's Room, and he lost him? And most importantly: how did Atsushi “tiger senses make me spot an enemy in a fifty meters radius” not realize? Could it be that the tiger doesn't consider Akutagawa an enemy?

one thing i noticed (form personal experience and by observing other artists) is that the longer you draw and create, the more boring it gets to simply replicate references, especially when it comes to characers' fashion choices.
with bnha, i keep mine pretty simple and basic because teens ARE very trend-loyal, but mainly im just lazy lol, but when i AM motivated, i love to think about characters' personal style, what could influence them, but also more trivial things such as budget into account, which is why i love to draw Deku in basic tees or clothes provided by his school (while bakugo gets to wear ed hardy and shoto wears arcteryx). i also love to limit the items like its just more realistic to me when someone as ordinary as deku wears the same 5 crewnecks all the time
which brings me to my actual point, namely that the more frequently you draw, the more you learn to do research andto combine your findings into sth new rather than staying faithful to one reference, and i think that's what makes good art so good, being able to draw inspiratioin from all kinds of niches and creating something that feels very authentic and suspends the spectator's disbelief. sometimes i see art and i know exactly which fashion editorial or which kpop idol was referenced, and I'm not insinuating these are bad things i do that too (less frequently now but i sure did!), my point is it's kind of nice to see how ALL artist start out with rather derivative art but eventually move on to create more authentic art that is less about drawing beautiful and perfect people and more about trying to individualize them and that ALSO means giving them weird clothes, scars, asymmetric eyes, a receding hairline etc. like drawing the same beautiful character 200 times gets so boring and it's just more fun to try and make them a bit more human

Aww something cute. I saw an interview clip where the line "when were you this happy?" was mentioned to Apo, Mile, Bible and Jeff, and Apo said he took it from his personal life. Aww I hope Apo has someone special in his personal life to make him feel happy and smiley like he was with Kinn xx *pity he didn't say from our personal life and looked at Mile* 💀
Kinn: When was the last time you felt happy?
Porsche: Moments ago..
Apo: That dialogue came from my personal life.
💖💖💖.

Being a nerd about Latin and also fandoms is so fun because it means I get to say things like "no that can't be an ablative of motion away from, unless the moon counts as a town or island"

saw a summary of an article about how the author hates those sentences that start with an appositive phrase, like "having set the mail aside, ey moved to the table" or whatever, & was instantly filled with peevishness. that's the ablative absolute! i love the ablative absolute almost as much as i love the passive periphrastic! in some broader sense it's probably not great that so much of written english rhetoric was intended to follow the patterns of classical latin, but i still like many of those features, especially when they're tools rather than restrictions (e.g., split infinitives). so much of the texture of latin is difficult or impossible to translate, but the constructions that we can use are fun, their historical echoes are interesting

For all there is negative to say about the spin-off and Berlin I at least have the comfort to know that Pina would never mischaracterize and misrepresent Berlin as the fandom did when everyone just decided to shut their eyes and ears in the Viking Gold scene and instead assumed the exact opposite of what happened. Just completely ignoring what Andrés literally said in the scene so just they would have a "at core Martín and Berlin are actually the opposite uwu and Martin is so much better" when the scenes were literal direct parallels of each other and where Andrés and Martín said the exact same things just about different cultures and different groups of people
#i'm awake at night thinking about this shit every night#there's a lot of blatand mischaracterization of both characters in this fandom that annoy me to no end#but literally nothing infuriates me as much as this#just the inability to hear the clear simple words he said out loud in the clearest terms possible just to prove that somehow Martín#is better than him at heart#it's so annoying#Andrés LITERALLY in the scene criticizes the vikings for pillaging iconic art pieces from other cultures and melting it to make their own#shit; which he doesn’t think of as art just because it's old#this is a direct parallel to Martín's “the Spanish stole it from South American indigenous tribes” not an apposite wtf#in WHAT WORLD do you think anyone would compare the vikings to south american indigenous tribes???#There are some things Andrés is worse about than Martin and vice versa#this is NOT one of them#literally both of them showed the same position???#you cannot be glamorizing the vikings so much in your head that you can't hear direct criticism of them when it happens#it wasn’t even subtle#how could anyone mishear this#Martin didn’t want to steal it (which makes no sense in its own right) because it's ancient art that belongs to those tribes (Spain had it#so again makes no sense. but anyway)#Andres wanted to steal the vikings gold because he didn’t think it was art and it was made by melting actual ancient art pieces#that belonged to the greeks and romans and Phoenicians and he didn’t think the 'wine goblets and plates' the vikings made with their#their pillaged gold was worth being in a muesum#thats literally his own words to Rafael#how does that make him worse than Martín. sure no one views the greeks and romans etc as victims the same way those tribes were#but the point still stands that they WERE pillaged of the artwork they made#literally absolutely nothing bothers me more than the interpretation of this scene#i don't care about both scenes in their own right but the shook I went through when I read what people on here thought. man

I fully blame you for the fact I don’t have a tiny kitten. You have 5? You only have 2 hands even. Gross blocked and unfollowed (unless u send me a kitten)
Sigh, tbh i deserve it, five small kittens is scandalous, I apologize for my actions, I'd seriously let you adopt one, I'm waiting for them to grow up and their mum be sick of them and find them proper homes dhdhhd

it seemed that searching three words allows you to find all posts containing those three words
with two words, it seemed that both words have to be in tags, or else it doesn't work. maybe unless the post is popular
but what if i write a really long tag? the maximum limit is 139 characters per tag
i did this experiment in this post
i concluded that if your search contains common words, for example "what write really", it only retrieves certain posts where those words are in the text
for uncommon/nonexisting words in the text of your post such as "brasput yabet mituarb", you can find your post by searching just 1 word
for two words in any of the tags, it retrieves the post, even if the words are common. for example "eat above"

I started Blood Meridian today. I can't tell if I love it or if I think Cormac McCarthy was extremely pretentious. They're not mutually exclusive, it may be both.
