Meanwhile Video game NPC or Opponent AIs are delightful little programs with set routines programmed by a person.

A creepily accurate portrayal of generational trauma in Appalachia.

Yes, I am a T. Kingfisher fanatic. Yes, I am from Appalachia. Yes, I am a witch. All to say… this iteration of the supernatural, Appalachian horror genre really spoke to me!

Even though Boone, NC was mentioned (I went to AppState), “A House With God Bones” doesn’t take first place as my favorite Kingfisher book. I wasn’t quite spooked in the way that “The Twisted Ones” and “The Hollow Places” got me. There was something about this one that felt… unsurprising. Not predictable per se but not entirely unexpected either.

I also thought 243 pages wasn’t enough! I wanted more from Gail and Phil (especially a romance between Sam and Phil). More build up could’ve come from Gran Mae’s rose ghost and the underground children.

That said, my praises far outweigh any qualms. T. Kingfisher effortlessly creates worlds with her writing style. The images formed in my mind made reading this more like watching a movie!

All the characters are so rich and creatively crafted, even side characters like Mr. Pressley and Brad. It was so easy to feel their stories as real.

These mountains are magic.

Vultures are good.

And the roses say… say your prayers.

- Upload a icon if you want, I just did the DF logo - Click "Test Run", it should load up Dwarf Fortress - Close out once it loads up. And close the Wineskin window. You can now search up your wrapper (whatever you named it) and it'll come up with the logo you provided

- Enjoy Fixing Double Click Issue - Open finder and search for your wrapper. Right click, press "Show Package Contents"

- Open the Wineskin application, navigate to the "Tools tab" - Click on "Config Utility (winecfg)"

- In the applications tab, within the new "Wine configuration menu" change the Windows version to Windows 10

- If that doesn't work, try enabling "Automatically capture the mouse in full-screen window"

It has been an exciting time on campus over the course of the past week or so. With the visit from ESPN's College GameDay, to the "Miracle on the Mountain" win in the football game, there's been a ton of energy displayed. Yet, although it's fun to watch, there is a certain element that causes one to get caught up in all the hoop-la and forget our course. A verse which is ever on my mind is Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Do you get overwhelmed with the world around you? Do you feel like you are losing your connection to God? We are reminded again, and again, in the God's word that this can happen. As Jesus told the Pharisees, "You are of this world, I am not of this world, you are from below, I am from above." When we find ourselves swimming along with the current of life, we should be careful to not get caught up in the rapids that will soon come. Yes, enjoy life, but be mindful that the farther you go into the joy of "This World," the farther you will find yourself from God. Seek Him with all your heart, and through the lens of faith, joy will come in the form of better Godly entertainment and adventure.
