Upperside wings of male is black, unlike tannish female

Females have orange half moon shaped spots on their upperside of hindwings but males aren't have or very faint orange half moon shaped spots

Male smells like 'deer musk'

It's pretty easy to distinguish them to other Swallowtail butterflies family as they have red furs on their thorax and abdomen!
