Year 1625

TW/CW: Death, Infant Death, Child Death

Whatever good feelings the end of 1624 had brought with it was quickly replaced with worry and uncertainty as plague began to spread like wildfire. The only ones of the household who were unconcerned were the children who were far too young to understand what that would mean.

While family to the West were falling to the plague news first reached Francisco's ears that Frideswide had been in an accident on stage and had sadly died. Adrian couldn't believe that she had passed from an accident when the plague was ravaging the world.

The brothers did their best to move on from their dear elder sister's death by giving more attention to the children, Osana, in particular. Something about holding the small girl made it easier to just focus on the ones still with them. Especially as news of more deaths came in. Including that of Frideswide and Aurelio's son, Hector, that April.

Alexis focused on the older children and cheered up the family by noting that despite the deaths some people reported marriages in Talia's tome such as Gabriella Jaleel who married into the Soto family.

Though in May, Karmine received word that her step-father and step-grandfather had both passed in the plague. The fear of losing her grandmother, mother, or siblings after losing her unborn children tore at her heart and while the city was turning away new arrivals in fear of a new bout of plague, Francisco told Adrian that he and Karmine would move to Karmine's family home once they could travel there. Adrian lamented the idea of them leaving when so many were dying all around them with Parnell and Terric's deaths in the spring, but he also understood that the Carlisles weren't their only family.

Frideswide's twins grew up into young teenagers and while Ferdinando took more after his father, the two of them managed to avoid the plague while their neighbors, the Uptons, lost two daughters in the wake of the birth of a son.

Though the Plague did not spare the Carlisle family in Tartosa as July brought with it both Piero and Alexis catching it. Given Alexis's werewolf immune boost the family was confident that there was a chance for her to fight it off but when Piero died on July 19th, all the fight seemed to leave her following his quick funeral.

It was of little surprise when Alexis collapsed in front of the family graves just a few short days later, the biggest surprise in Adrian's eyes was that it hadn't happened sooner. Alexis died July 27th.

Giulia couldn't understand what had happened in a few short weeks her brother and mother had gone away. Her aunt and uncle tried to explain that they had gone to heaven to be with the Lord above but all that did was make her start asking when they'd be back to which they had no words to comfort her further only hugs.

Osana was blissfully unaware of the goings on in the home she did miss her mother and brother but her age made it hard for her to even think too much on it. She was happy to be held by the other adults in the home so while she fussed for her mother she determined that her aunt, uncle and father were reasonable substitutes.

Vincente was a wreck after his wife and son's passing. He barely ate and when he did come into the house from wandering God only knows where, he'd be filthy. One time even coming home singed from the storm outside. Francisco was more than concerned. Of course it was a tragedy to lose his wife and child, he had lost a child of his own but the two girls needed their father and Vincente just wasn't there.

That being said, Francisco was more than happy and willing to give his nieces the love and affections they deserved. After the consecutive losses and the plague, he and Karmine were done actively trying again for a while yet but both him and Karmine had love to give children and their nieces were in need of parental love.

In the midst of the losses the plague took from the world, Guglielma celebrated her thirteenth birthday. It was a muted affair what with her aunt and little brother's passing early in the year but it was a celebration in the family nonetheless. The Robles family hoped that it was a sign that their tragedy would be over for the time being.

With it now being months since Alexis and Piero's passing, Adrian and Francisco were tired of Vincente aimlessly disappearing into the forests for days on end. It was more than just concerning. It needed to stop. It was understandable that he was hurt but hearing Osana look to Francisco and call him 'papa' was proof enough of Vincente's absence. Francisco was honored that his niece would call him that but her true father was still with them and was missing out on his living children while he mourned the dead and gone. Adrian was shocked to hear that Osana didn't seem to know her own father after the four months since her mother died but it made sense that she wouldn't since she hadn't yet reached a year, to her it was a long time. Too long. They had to do something.

After confronting Vincente when he returned home by throwing him into the bath, Francisco and Adrian told him in no uncertain terms that it was time for Vincente to come home and stay home. He had responsibilities and it wasn't as if Francisco and Karmine were going to be around forever since they planned on moving to care for Karmine's family soon though just her grandmother as her mother remarried and left with her siblings to a new town. They couldn't leave Vincente and the girls without knowing they'd be marginally alright though. They could tell the message hadn't really sunk into Vincente but he mumbled vague promises about being home more frequently. Francisco hardly believed him but it wasn't as if he could force his brother to come back to his family. He could only hope that he'd keep his questionable dismissive word and time would mend his younger triplet's broken heart.

i love reading about your show experiences!! i’m seeing the tour in april with a couple friends, and your anecdotes have made me look forward to it so much more. i’ve noted that it’s a good idea to bring several sharpies for autographs, but do you recommend any certain color? i’ve gotten the default black ones for playbills in the past, but i’m worried regular ink won’t show up on the black and white pattern. are the metallic ones any good? just wanna be sure!

Metallic sharpies work really well. Gold stands out more on the black and white striped design, but I also used silver and it looks good. When my sharpie sh!t the bed (while Karmine Alers was gracious enough to sign my playbill--she only signed mine, btw, because no one else asked her to; she's an amazing actor and a super nice person so if you see her, talk to her!!) my backup was a green felt tip pen that worked nicely. To the point that maybe I would take something like that again versus a sharpie, tbh.

2 VALORANT Teams Have Already Sold Out Their Season Tickets for VCT EMEA International Split

The blue wall that supports Karmine Corp has shown up in droves to purchase season tickets for their favorite team, giving those VALORANT fans access to all KCorp matches throughout the regular season. But KCorp was the second team to sell out its tickets, meaning another European organization outsold them first. Fnatic, who are currently in the semifinals of the VCT LOCK//IN tournament, were the first team in the region to sell out their season ticket passes. The tickets began at 86.29 euros (around $92.05) to attend all of the matches for each respective pass. The season tickets, which are available to purchase from the Riot EMEA website, aren’t the only way to see your favorite team in action. General admission tickets will allow viewers to watch several matches across a week. The first day of competition on March 27, which will see Fnatic take on Giants and KOI facing off against Natus Vincere, has sold out. At time of writing, tickets remain available for the second day where Team Liquid will go up against Vitality and Heretics take on FUT Esports. On days with one match, such as April 5 with Vitality and FUT Esports, the price of a standard ticket is 6.88 euros ($7.33), while the price is almost doubled for two matches. (Grimm Hunter) During a cookout, Smoke sets a large watermelon in front of James.

“Hey boy, what’cha got there?” James gave the large wolfs fur a ruffle between his ears, making Smoke’s tail wag slightly before fixing the human with what was unmistakable puppy eyes, after setting the rather large watermelon on the picnic table right in front of him. “You want me to do the thing?”

Smoke gave an affirmative growl, his tail wagged a bit faster as James got to his feet and grabbed his katana. Auron was standing by the grill outside, a smile on his face as he was always impressed whenever James did this. And even Dusk managed to raise his head off of his front paws from where he was curled up in Shyla’s lap. 

James waited until Smoke had backed away, before slowly unsheathing his blade. With two quick motions, and a flick of the blade to remove the juice, James slowly sheathed his blade. The moment the cross guard made contact with the scabbard, the melon split into quarters, landing neatly next to one another.

Vanille, Holly, April, Star, and Shyla all clapped. Dusk was now padding a bit in Shyla’s lap, as the puggle loved watermelon just as much as Smoke did.

“Never gets old, seein’ you do that.” Auron let out a chuckle, while clapping James on the shoulder. He took one of the watermelon quarters, setting it on the ground for Smoke and Dusk to enjoy

Happy birthday, Hera! Here's a big bag of delicious jerky for you!

“Happy Birthday Hera!” 

Hera’s entire face lit up as she saw the bag being held up to her by April. She got even more excited when she started to smell what was inside it. Her entire butt wagged side to side with her tail. When she saw the nice lady shake the bag a little at her, Hera couldn’t control herself anymore!

Hera’s feet scrambled on the ground as she tried to find her footing. Once she did, she took off towards the bag. She ran as fast as she could! As she got closer, the pup jumped slightly and dove head first into the bag filled with delicious jerky treatos!

Hera’s back legs dangled from the bag as she started to chow down on her birthday gift. Hera was too busy enjoying herself to notice her Mama walking up behind her and laughing along with the nice lady.

Pyrrha covered her mouth with her gloved fingers to stifle her laughter. When she calmed down a little, she said to April, “Thank you so much April. I’d like to say this would last Hera a while, but I don’t think it will.”

April set the bag down, not bothering Hera a bit as she kept snacking away. She readjusted her hat on her head as she talked. “Ya welcome Pyrrha. I’m just happy we could help make the pup so happy.”

Pyrrha looked at her inquisitively. “We?”

“Oh! Yeah, my sis Holly helped me make all this jerky for Hera. So this is a gift from the Karmine’s. An’ Holly also says she’s still sorry for swearin’ in front of Hera.”

“Oh she’s fine. I’m sure Hera doesn’t even know what she said. Please tell her that she doesn’t have to feel bad about it.”

April laughed at that. “Yeah I keep tellin’ her that, but I’ll do it again.”

Pyrrha nodded in thanks and finally looked down again to check on Hera. She was in the same position in the bag, only the bag was noticeably smaller. “Ooookay Hera, that’s enough I think sweetie.” Pyrrha reached down and lifted up Hera by her stomach. “You��ll upset your tummy if you eat so much. You can have more la- pppffffffttt hahahahaha.” Pyrrha was interrupted by herself as she suddenly burst out laughing. Her melodic laughs were followed by April laughing too.

The reason that they had suddenly started laughing was Hera. The little Puggle Wuggle was now being cradled in her Mama’s arms, looking at them curiously. 

With almost a dozen pieces of jerky stuffed in her mouth. She kept chewing them too, making tons of pieces fall to the floor underneath her. This only made April and Pyrrha laugh more. Hera finished what was in her mouth and licked her chops clean. The only thing the little pup thought about was that she already wanted more! 

Those treatos were really tasty!

Hmmm... I've been thinking if something for a little while, and I think I'd like to try it. So, some of you may know about all the OCs I have on my other two blogs. I know I said this blog would just be for canon characters, but... I'm wanting to try some cheating stuff with the majority of my OCs. With that being said, here is a list of them all. Late Edit: Also, they don't just have to be OCs that are the ones on the outside of the relationships, if that makes sense. Like Mercury or someone could fuck Kairi, or futa Yang could fuck Aliah too.

Notes:

Nice 4K video of Dana from the orchestra, starts halfway through invisible. The video is on a slight angle and has some shakiness and blackouts but for less than a couple seconds at a time. Overall a nice video and definitely worth a watch due to the book falling into the hole.
