Neve's outfit just has such a great design!! the silhouette it has - iconic, delightfully Tevene. Neve's piece really reminds me of the feel and vibe of her DA: The Missing cover. In the background are the towers and streets of Minrathous, the city that is her home - including the iconic floating castle. with its white/pale blue light, shimmer and the impression of ice crystals the magic she is casting has, it looks like she's using one of her ice mage abilities. It's cool, even the chair she is sitting on has that diamond, rhombus (not sure if I'm describing this right, but hopefully you know what I mean ^^) kinda design Tevinter things tend to have. you can see it in like their doorways and windows and stuff. I love the unique design of her staff/wand, and in this painting it reminds me of a cane. as in like, you know, didn't Sherlock Holmes sometimes carry a stick or cane? like Hercule Poirot? that kind of vibe. fitting for a detective and private investigator. :) in one of the past trailers they talked about "hard-boiled detective stories", which on reflection now I feel can surely only be in reference to Neve! a lil touch of film noir.
In the background, spotlighted (as if by one of the spotlights from the floating castle) against the wall and looming over her, is the ominous shadow of another person, or entity. the staff they carry implies they are a mage. A random Venatori? A Venatori leader? she has had dealings with them in the past, they don't like her and in the gameplay reveal we can see that they basically want to kill her and her allies; as someone affiliated with the Shadow Dragons, she's opposed to them. this could represent that opposition (Venatori/Neve) and the threat that they pose.
there's something off-looking about the shadow though - Tevinter magisters and Venatori etc wearing robes and getups that give them startling outlines is nothing new, but still. their arms are too long (unsettling), and the one without the staff, though it could just be the fancy trailing sleeves and embellishments on the person's robe itself, is drawn in such a way as to resemble a claw or talon. something demonic-y. their arms are all spiky, the waist over-narrow and waspish. A corrupt[ed] magister? An ancient magister? A demon? some combination thereof? ^^ There is something about it which reminds me of the designs of figures like the Architect and Cory, and they were not the only members of their group. the demonic vibe and recent Venatori plot stuff in general also makes me think of the trapped demon sealed in the Catacombs beneath the city of Minrathous, as detailed in The Streets of Minrathous in Tevinter Nights, in which Neve appears. in that short, she prevents the Venatori from releasing the demon, but it's not dead or defeated. Also, the way in which it was described in that short was 😀 extremely worrying. whatever it is, it feels like Neve's art piece is giving a glimpse at what her storyline in the game might involve.

72 Seasons album opinion + my experience at M72 Tour in Madrid
72 Seasons is the eleventh studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica, released on April 14, 2023. This album marks the band's first full-length release since 2016's "Hardwired... to Self-Destruct," as a collaborative effort between the band members and producer Greg Fidelman, who also worked on their previous album.
In this album we can observe a great growth in the band's music production, as we can appreciate Metallica's signature sound, blending thrash metal with elements of hard rock and progressive metal. It features heavy riffs, complex arrangements and powerful vocals, which show a vast development and maturity of their musical skills. From the first track, titled as the album, to the last one, Inamorata, we can notice the great energy transmitted with their powerful intros.
This album also has a meaning. The title "72 Seasons" refers to the first 18 years of a person's life, a period that significantly shapes who they become. The album delves into themes of childhood, personal growth, and the lasting impact of early experiences. I believe this also has a symbolic meaning that shows the transformation Metallica has had through the years.
The album generally received positive reviews from critics, who mostly praised James Hetfield's lyrics and vocal performance but criticized the album's song length and some repetitive song parts.
72 Seasons received three nominations at the 66th Grammy Awards, winning Best Metal Performance for the title track 72 Seasons.
In my view, 72 Seasons had influence from their previous album mentioned before, because they already have a firm model of song structure, with similar riffs, rhythms and vocals.
My favorite songs in this album are 72 Seasons, Screaming Suicide and Shadows Follow. Overall I enjoy this album because of their mature and perfect technique when playing their instruments and vocals, they have great harmony and strength. I would give this album a 9, only because of the repetitive parts in some songs. However in live these songs don't feel long at all, on contrary, they feel short.
On November 28, 2022, Metallica announced the album's title, release date, tracklist and a promotional tour of North America and Europe, featuring Pantera, Five Finger Death Punch and Architects among others, titled the M72 World Tour, and I had the honor to assist the M72 Tour in Madrid, at the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium. The concert lasted 3 hours divided on two days, 12th and 14th July 2024.
Both concerts had amazing visuals on stage screens for those who couldn’t see the members close enough, but even so I felt so close to them, because they really were playing for the crowd, giving a very comfortable and friendly environment. I’d like to highlight that both events started with the song The Ecstasy of Gold from the film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, a moment that reminded me of Enter Sandman live in Moscow in 1991, the first video I saw from Metallica when I was 7 and moreover the largest concert in metal history. But we must not forget that the most important thing is how beautifully and dedicatedly they performed both concerts, which consisted in five songs from  72 Seasons, Ride the Lighting and Metallica, four songs from the Master of Puppets album, two songs from Reload, …And Justice for All, Kill ‘Em All and Death Magnetic, the unexpected song King of Nothing from the Load album and my personal favorite of the night, Moth Into Flame from Hardwired… To Self-Destruct.
This concert is something I'll never experience again, and I must say, 12th and 14th July 2024 will be forever the happiest days of my life, that’s why I’m writing this.
I hope you guys enjoyed my article and I’ll look forward to bring some more :) Also don’t forget to like and follow me on my socials.
much love xoxo
pd: photos aren't mine because my phone camera is shitty :( they're from their official Instagram (@metallica).

Moreland Theater Building
11810-11824 Buckeye Rd.
Cleveland, OH
The Moreland Theater Building is located at 11810-11824 Buckeye Road in Cleveland, Ohio. Built in 1927 by Braverman and Havermaet and once a major part of the heavily Hungarian neighborhood, it served multiple uses in Cleveland's Hungarian community and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Moreland Theater building was opened on January 12, 1928, with the film The Cat and the Canary; Larry Jean Fisher, "The Texas Organist," at the Kimball organ; and George Williams and his Music Box Merrymakers on stage. The Universal-Variety theater chain operated the theater which was used initially for Vaudeville performances and a movie theater. It included a small orchestra pit, a shallow stage with a fly loft, and dressing rooms in the rear. The building also housed tenant space on its second floor and along the front facade. The theater is located in Cleveland’s Buckeye neighborhood at East 119th Street and Buckeye Road, which, for a time in the first half of the 20th century, was boasted the largest population of Hungarian immigrants in the United States.
Real estate entrepreneur A. T. (Adolph) Wallach (1881-1959) was at the head of the Buckeye-E. 119th Street Company that built and owned the Moreland. Born in Austria, Wallach came to Cleveland in 1907. His real estate investments included both new buildings and old. Among his holdings was the Hoyt Block (1875) at W. 6th St. and St. Clair Avenue. His office was in the Society for Savings Building on Public Square. Architects Braverman and Havermaet designed the building in the baroque style that was popular for theaters at that time. The theater was designed for both vaudeville and motion pictures. The below-stage area was equipped with an orchestra pit and organ chamber, which housed a $40,000 Kimball organ. There were three dressing rooms for stage performers. The plans show the auditorium seating capacity at 1,296, about average for a neighborhood theater at that time. In a press release for the new theater, the management boasted "the most modern system of indirect side lighting, air purifying systems, newest type of projection machines, in a fireproof booth, and every facility and resource to contribute to the complete enjoyment of its patrons." The air purifying system relied on two huge fans at each end of the theater's upper level. One of the fans is still in place, as are the ornate hanging lamps on the auditorium side walls, presumably part of the modern side lighting. In addition to the theater, the building contained four stores on the first floor, five office suites, and two residential apartments on the second floor. The construction cost of the building was reportedly $300,000.
The G&P Amusement Company of Cleveland acquired the lease to the Moreland in 1937. They remodeled the theater, adding a new RCA sound system, and began showing daily double features of Hollywood films. The Moreland opened, closed, and reopened throughout the 1950s and early 1960s. It was remodeled into a musical dinner theater in 1963 by Gerard Gentile, William Boehm, and Eugene Woods. The trio had experience in theaters in the Cleveland area and were determined to revitalize the Moreland. It opened as Players Theatre Café in January 1964. Once again, the reopening was short lived and the theater closed in April 1964. It reopened again as the Beach Party Room in July 1967, with three inches of sand and artificial palm trees in the auditorium to help give the illusion that patrons were attending a party on the beach. This venture only lasted four months, after which it was turned into a dance club called “Second Shadow Lounge” in October 1967. This too did not last very long, and the theater became a Hungarian playhouse in June 1969.
By 1975 the theater was closed again, and three years later it was sold to the Church of God in Christ (CGC). CGC became the theater’s longest tenant, using the building as a worship space for almost thirty years. The CGC sold the theater in 2007 to the Buckeye Area Development Corporation (BADC), a not-for-profit community development corporation serving the area. BADC planned to restore the theater as a cultural center, but have yet to raise the estimated $6.1 million needed to renovate the building. The Moreland Theater Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 15, 2011.

The Crossroads Part 1
Tumblr media
I've decided to transcribe the entirety of esteemed Egon Cholakian's speech from his landmark video address, "The Crossroads"
So, here it is:
“Hello! My name is Egon Cholakian. The impetus for my address today is the release of the highly impactful documentary film "Impact."
Tumblr media
My keen interest in this film is well-founded, as it turns out to be based on materials from our 10-year investigation, some of the results of which I publicly disclosed in April of this year. This film reveals the detailed plans of the force I have mentioned in my previous speeches, known by various monikers such as the architects of consciousness, the secret KGB department that has maintained its activity and influence to this day, and the Hydra, which seeks to destroy the United States and establish a totalitarian regime of its power worldwide.
Tumblr media
"The IMPACT" (actfiles.org) sheds light on how this destructive shadow force operates today, shaping international geopolitical trends, orchestrating global conflicts and terrorist attacks, manipulating entire peoples and nations, and sowing hatred and division among them. The documentary's creators have named this hidden force "global anti-cultism."
This investigative film has already sparked serious discussions in high political circles, the diplomatic corps, and government structures, which is not surprising. It should be noted that for many influential figures who consider themselves architects of global politics and international relations, such a turn of events was unexpected.
Currently, all the facts and data presented in this investigation are undergoing meticulous analysis and verification by competent authorities. It is important to emphasize that a significant portion of the information has already been corroborated by an extensive evidentiary base. This means that from this moment onward, the discourse surrounding this film will inexorably escalate and inevitably translate into actions—actions that this film has prematurely instigated.
Allow me to clarify my stance. Yes, freedom of speech and independent journalism are foundational values of our democracy, and the emergence of such fundamental journalistic endeavors represents the exercise of the right to free speech and opinion. At first glance, the release of "The Impact" appears to be good news, as the truth has come to light through the efforts of free journalists. However, I must express my primary concern: humanity is not yet ready for this truth.
We, particularly my colleagues and I, are well aware of who stands behind the creation of this documentary, who its authors are, and how they acquired the materials from our investigation, some of which they recklessly and prematurely disclosed in the film. I wish to address these evidently courageous but exceedingly impatient individuals who brought this film to fruition.
Esteemed creators of the film "Impact," do you realize what you have done? We understand that you were driven by noble motives—love of humanity, altruism, patriotism. And this is undoubtedly commendable. However, allow me to confront you with the reality that you have outpaced the times! You have in turn publicly disclosed data and materials that were not yet ready to be revealed to the world at large!
Yes, I agree that people have the right to know the truth. Yes, you have accomplished an impressive feat. But you cannot fathom the additional complexities you have introduced to our work through these actions. Understand that when dealing with global matters, patience is paramount. Your impatience, in this instance, has complicated the investigative process.
Had this information been made public, say, a year from now, the outcomes would have been far less dramatic. However, you have prematurely triggered certain consequences. You have publicly disclosed specific methods employed by both anti-cult organizations and the force you termed as the "global anti-cult." You excessively detailed their schemes and overly elaborated on their plans. You have revealed what should have remained concealed for at least another year.
Now, authorities in any country where anti-cult organizations operate have no legal right to ignore and must hold accountable, to the fullest extent of the law, all individuals mentioned in the film. Especially considering the existence of an extensive base of incontrovertible facts and evidence of their criminal terrorist activities. Thus, not only from a moral standpoint but also in accordance with current legislation, the lack of an appropriate response from the authorities to the disclosed facts could be construed as complicity in terrorist activities.
This applies to top-tier politicians and intelligence agencies. Should they fail to respond and hold the guilty accountable, if they do not oppose them, then according to the law, they become not just accomplices in criminal activities but also enablers of the resurgence of Nazism and the establishment of a Fourth Reich. Authors of "Impact," do you comprehend what you have done? You have provoked actions prematurely. This now provides the deep-seated ideologues of world disorder, the representatives of the "global anti-cult," with an opportunity to further conceal themselves.”
Please support this vital information with likes, shares, comments, and applause!

Checkpoint Charlie Reverie: A Student’s Encounter with Modernist Legacy
In Berlin’s heart, where histories collide,
Stands the Checkpoint Charlie apartments, a modernist pride.
By Koolhaas and Sauerbruch, its structure unfolds,
A narrative of past and present, intricately told.
Seven stories rise with twenty-one homes,
An elevated skeleton where legacy roams.
Once customs and allied forces held their sway,
Now homes and memories in layers play.
The entrance hall, vast, a Le Corbusier baton,
Echoes grand, with whispers of times bygone.
No lightbulbs shine, yet ACME’s glow I recall,
A magical orb, illuminating a student’s thrall.
Through halls of camouflage, the urban tapestry weaves,
Spaces where function and form interleave.
Balconies and porticos, a dance in the sky,
An architectural dialogue that catches the eye.
Walking through history, a film on rewind,
My tutor Matthias, REM’s genius combined.
Faces of fame, yet a lightbulb within,
A spark of ambition, where dreams begin.
Caught in the grandeur, the scale so immense,
A cinematic moment, intense and dense.
In the shadows of masters, a student’s quest,
To surpass, to shine, to be the very best.
Checkpoint Charlie, a monument to strive,
A beacon of design where past lives thrive.
In its corridors, I found my path,
Guided by architects’ wisdom, a light in the aftermath.

In our visually driven world, mastering the art of architectural videography for your marketing needs has become non-negotiable for professionals. Every design professional understands the compelling influence of well-devised visuals in expressing their unique style, attention to detail, and meticulous execution. And architects are no exception! Before we delve into the specificities, let's breathe life into an all-encompassing SEO keyword: Architectural Videography. This phrase essentially informs search engines and prospective clients about the artistic capture of the architectural design process or an architectural accomplishment on camera. For architects, the value of architectural videography lies in its ability to encapsulate time, space, design, creativity, and functionality into an appeal that transcends words. It enables architects to construct an immersive narrative that offers potential clients a sneak preview into their design aesthetics, their architectural ethos, and what they bring to the drafting table. Now, let's explore the fundamental aspects one needs to master in the architectural videography realm. # The Pre-eminent Combination of Lighting and Composition When it comes to architectural videography, lighting and composition often make or break the visual narrative. The play of light and shadow can significantly enhance architectural features, highlighting the textures, forms, and the symmetry (or asymmetry) of a structure. Further, following the Rule of thirds, golden ratio, and incorporating leading lines could elevate the visual storytelling aspect, making the film far more engaging. # The Invaluable Mastery over Camera Movements Architectural videography is not just about static shots. The magic unfolds when the camera starts moving, unveiling aspects of architecture that might go unnoticed otherwise. Techniques such as tracking, panning, tilting, and aerial shots, when applied with finesse, offer a perspective that can drastically transform a viewer's perception of architectural spaces. # Seamless Integration of Drone Footage In architectural videography, drone technology has opened new frontiers. Drone footage offers an elevated perspective, capturing the grandeur of a structure within its ambiance. It lets viewers grasp the magnitude of an architectural marvel and its harmony with its surroundings, a visual impact that traditional ground-level shots might fail to deliver. # Crafting an Engaging Narrative More than a display of clips, architectural videography communicates a story, whether it is the progress of a high-stakes architectural project or a home's cozy corner. Chalk out clear storyboards, focus on the strong points of the structure, showcase how light interacts with spaces, and how human life thrives within it. Remember, an engaging narrative always leaves a lasting impact. # Post Production and Finishing Touches Lastly, the real artistry is in post-production, where professionals get to manipulate footage, enhancing details that would capture the audience's imagination. The right color grading, addition of sound effects, and appropriate music synchronicities vitalize the whole narrative, etching it deeper into the viewers' psyche. Architectural videography, hence, is a potent tool for architects reaching out to navigate through a fiercely competitive ecosystem. It gives them a captivating medium to articulate their innovative vision, imprinting their individuality in the minds of potential clients and the wider architectural community. Much like architecture itself, architectural videography is essentially a craft, requiring a nuanced understanding, skilled execution, and an innate creative instinct to create an imprint that endures. Perception
As the hands of the clock incessantly marked the passage of time, heralding yet another dismal psychology class, a lethargic figure slouched into the seat, scarcely veiling a yawn behind a weary hand. The allure of the subject had always eluded them, and Mr. Thompson's fervent lectures did naught to amend such disinterest.
Mr. Thompson, the towering pedagogue with an inclination towards gravity, commenced the class in his customary manner, extinguishing the lights to engulf the room in obscurity. An air of collective expectation permeated the space as the film, purported to delve into the intricacies of human behavior, commenced its projection.
Alas, the film failed to ensnare interest, its characters and narratives receding into the background as minds wandered aimlessly. Mr. Thompson's sporadic interjections to dissect the characters' motives only served to exacerbate the ennui, his zealousness for the subject lost upon the audience.
Then, almost as an afterthought, the mention of perceiving ultraviolet rays elicited mirth from some and skepticism from others. The amusement failed to captivate, as thoughts had already wandered far from the conversation.
Weeks bled into months, and yet Mr. Thompson's absence persisted. His nonattendance scarcely registered, preoccupations precluding much contemplation. Time meandered forth with a peculiar sense of inertia. Initially, there was some chatter amongst the students regarding Mr. Thompson's vanishing act, but soon even that dissolved into the cacophony of quotidian existence. The lie detector tests, once anticipated with fervor, now seemed a distant memory, overshadowed by the enigma encircling our absent teacher.
As days stretched into weeks, and weeks into months, the enigma surrounding Mr. Thompson's disappearance deepened. From the students' perspective, he had simply evaporated without a trace, leaving behind an emptiness in the psychology class and unanswered queries.
Yet, unbeknownst to all, Mr. Thompson's absence was not a mere matter of fortuity or circumstance. Deep within the recesses of his psyche, a darkness had begun to fester, nourished by the very subject matter he had devoted his life to expounding upon.
Within the labyrinth of his consciousness, Mr. Thompson grappled with the shadows of perception, haunted by the specters of delusions and paranoid afflictions he had once lectured upon with fervidness. What commenced as an intellectual pursuit had gradually metamorphosed into something far more malevolent—a descent into madness kindled by his own teachings.
Day by day, the demarcations between reality and illusion blurred for Mr. Thompson, his mind ensnared within the labyrinthine machinations of his thoughts. The world around him transmuted into a fractured tableau, where truth and fallacy intertwined in a disorienting phantasmagoria.
Despite endeavors to preserve a semblance of normalcy, the fractures in Mr. Thompson's psyche became increasingly apparent. His erstwhile articulate lectures devolved into disjointed soliloquies, and his comportment grew ever more erratic as the clutches of his delusions tightened.
Yet, amidst the tumult of his unraveling psyche, one verity remained immutable: Mr. Thompson was the architect of his own downfall, a casualty of the very subject matter he had committed his life to elucidating. And as he plummeted deeper into the abyss of his own madness, the boundaries between instructor and pupil dissolved, leaving behind naught but the reverberations of a vanishing act cloaked in the shadows of perception.

What is Narrative Design & Visual Storytelling?
In a landscape inundated with stories vying for our attention, what distinguishes certain narratives, causing them to linger in our minds long after we've consumed them? The answer lies in the powerful combination of narrative design and visual storytelling. Let's explore how these two elements collaborate to create truly unforgettable stories.
Tumblr media
Unveiling the Depth of Narrative Design
Think of narrative design as the architect of a story, the mastermind behind every aspect – from the characters to the plot and the world they inhabit. It breathes life into these fictional realms, whether they're fantastical kingdoms or gritty urban landscapes. Yet, it's not just about constructing worlds; it's about sculpting characters that resonate with us, ones we can laugh, cry, and empathize with.
Exceptional narrative design transcends conventional storytelling. It intricately weaves together plots and subplots, keeping us captivated until the very end. It thrives on surprises, defying expectations, and taking us on an emotional rollercoaster ride we won't soon forget.
Consider George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series, famously adapted into the television phenomenon "Game of Thrones." Martin's narrative design crafts a richly layered world filled with warring factions, political intrigue, and morally ambiguous characters. The evolution of figures like Tyrion Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen throughout the series serves as a testament to the depth of his narrative design.
Visual Storytelling: Bringing Stories to Life
Visual storytelling is akin to painting with light and color. It utilizes elements such as camera angles, settings, and hues to narrate a tale without relying on words. Whether it's the sweeping landscapes of a fantastical realm or the bustling streets of a futuristic metropolis, every detail is meticulously selected to convey meaning and evoke emotion.
However, visual storytelling is more than just aesthetic appeal; it's about communicating with us on a deeper level, sans words. It's about the expressions etched on characters' faces, the interplay of light and shadow, and the arrangement of a scene that communicates what words cannot.
A prime example of this is Pixar's animated masterpiece "Up." In its opening sequence, we are immersed in the lifelong love story of Carl and Ellie through a montage of imagery, devoid of any dialogue. Through deft editing, emotive music, and poignant visuals, we are taken on a heartfelt journey, experiencing the highs and lows of their relationship in a profoundly moving manner.
The Perfect Harmony of Narrative and Visuals
What truly elevates storytelling is when narrative design and visual storytelling collaborate harmoniously. Like a symphony orchestra, they blend seamlessly to craft an unforgettable experience. In mediums like film, visuals breathe life into the narrative, transcending mere words on a page. Each shot, color choice, and detail serves to deepen the story and immerse us in its world.
In the realm of video games, narrative design sets the stage while visual storytelling transports us into the game world. It's akin to stepping into a storybook and becoming an integral part of the adventure.
Crafting Stories That Resonate

Disrupt 23/11: Cardboard sculpture photography and film
I ended up taking the cardboard sculpture to the photography room and hanging it up, with the help of a lecturer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I took these photographs, using a slow shutter speed, taking advantage of the cardboards ability to move.
The blurry affects gives the appearance of movement, almost as if it is vibrating, which us a nice reference to the science of sound waves.
For the filmography, I was assisted by the lecturer with some of the light work. I really enjoyed how the shadows and light were erratic. This also reminded me of vibrations.
I did research on a series of sculptures that stood out to me. The Singing Ringing Tree, made by architects Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu. There are 4 sculptures in this series, placed in England.
Based on a German show by the same name, it set out to capture the uncanny feeling that many British children felt when watching the show: Singing Ringing Tree.
The pipes would make an uneasy sound on a windy day, which I wanted to capture with my filmography.
youtube
Tumblr media
I recorded audio of silence, and audio of noise in one of the stairways in the school, as the echo was interesting, and could be used to create an uncanny and uneasy atmosphere.
