Me encontré.
Espero haberte soltado. Te amo. No vuelvas.

additional + background info!
the name of their show is ‘affluenza’. it’s a slasher/drama/mystery/thriller. think gossip girl meets scream mtv series and pll: the perfectionists!
Tumblr media
jeno started acting in minor roles when he was 9. his breakout role was playing the son of the seasoned actor, arthur kim, in the movie “written in the stars” when he was 12
percy grew up exposed to show business kasi marami syang kamag-anak sa industriya (the most prominent ones being her parents — her mother is a singer and actress while her dad is the famous actor-turned-director, arthur kim), pero she didn’t start acting until she was 13, after getting casted in the series “something great” kung saan niya nakilala si haechan
jeno and percy are known for being box office royalties. madalang gumawa ng series projects si jeno and is mostly known as a movie actor, while percy does both
percy and haechan are not a loveteam, pero dahil tatlong beses na sila nagkaproject together (two movies, one teleserye) maraming nagshiship sa kanila
most of them are artists under the same company (sm ent din pangalan kasi i’m unoriginal and could not be bothered to think of a new name 💀)
pinsan ni jeno si wonwoo at half-brother ni haechan si mingyu… this is kinda irrelevant info gusto ko lang ilagay HAHAHAHAHA
jeno has an older sister named arden while percy is an only child
light mode = percy’s pov, dark mode = jeno’s pov!

TIMING: November 2022 LOCATION: Scribes Headquarters PARTIES: @phoenixleah & @stainedglasstruth SUMMARY: While at the Scribes Headquarters, Leah is surprised to run into her old friend Arden. CONTENT WARNINGS: Mentions of parental death
Most people that knew Leah knew that she was always writing things down.  It was a habit she’d picked up from her grandfather, one that had lent itself to their respective scribe notebooks long before they made it into the official journals over at Scribe HQ.  Any time she even suspected something supernatural, Leah’s notebook was out, jotting observations and studying her surroundings.  She would never admit it was too much writing; the thought wouldn’t even cross her mind, at least not until she forced herself to spend hours in the headquarters, categorizing pages and pages of scribbles; figuring out which notes fit where, or if her observations matched those before her.  It was fascinating work, but with a high volume of notes, it was time consuming.
That day she had been integrating her notes for a particularly long time, which is why she didn’t look up right away when someone was introducing a newcomer to their group.  It wasn’t until she heard a name that her head shot up.  “Arden?” she called, standing up from her table.  She couldn’t believe it.  One of her good friends from high school, someone she hadn’t seen in years, was here in person in Scribe HQ!  She leaned forward to get a better look, her grin widening.  “Is that you?  How long have you been back in town?  And what are you doing…here?”  The questions were pouring out of her almost as fast as the excitement was, and by the time she finished talking, she and Arden were face to face.
To say that Arden was anxious would have been a bit of an understatement. She hid it well– she always had– and after several years spent working in her field of study she had become even more skilled at putting up a facade. Still, she wasn’t sure how well she was masking her emotions at that moment.
After about six years away, she had finally returned to Wicked’s Rest only a few days ago. She’d spent most of that time dealing with all the logistics of moving into a new place from out of state, unpacking, and getting Hobbes settled. She had also met her boss and gotten a tour of the Something Wicked offices. What she had not done during that time, however, was see her mother.
If she were to be honest with herself, she had been putting it off. But that truth made her feel sick to her stomach with guilt and shame, and honesty was a virtue that both Arden and her mother had a tenuous relationship with anyway. So, she tried her best to ignore the thoughts of how she was a terrible daughter and a terrible human being in general, steeled herself, and headed down to the Scribe Headquarters. She could have waited for a time she was sure her mother would be at home, but she needed to stop by there to let them know she was back in town anyway. Or something. She wasn’t entirely sure about the protocol vis-à-vis moving away and coming back.
Thankfully, whatever protocol there was tended to be much more lax with legacy members like her, not to mention having someone working at the paper to keep the public from learning the truth and stay informed on what was going on in town was pretty beneficial to the organization. So, after a chat with one of the stewards, she was led into the main area, where she was hit with the familiar smell of old paper.
She took a deep breath, the smell transporting her back to countless days spent curled up in a corner pouring over tome after tome. Of all the things she had missed after leaving town, the Scribes archive was at the top. She was an awful daughter.
Speaking of, she had begun to glance around nervously as the steward introduced her when she heard her name. Arden looked over to find a woman standing up from her seat. A rather familiar looking woman who was coming toward her.
“Leah?” she asked, surprised but delighted to see the other. “Oh my god, hi!” She grinned, pulling the woman into a quick hug. “I just got back a few days ago, I wanted to see if my mom was here.”
Leah’s words had taken a moment to fully sink in, but Arden paused as they did. “Wait, what are you doing here? You’re a Scribe?”
Leah wasn’t going to stop herself from giving Arden a hug, so she was pleased and filled with glee when her friend pulled into one of her own, squeezing tight before pulling away quickly.  She held Arden at arms length grinning as she looked her over.  “God, it’s been ages!”, she said, pulling her into another hug for good measure.  As she pulled back for a second time, she tried to read Arden’s face- unable to pick up a specific emotion there.  She couldn’t remember if it was Arden or another of her friends who had had an iffy relationship with their mother, and she thought it was far too early into their reunion to pry.  At least on relationship statuses.  “Any luck there?”, she queried, hopeful that it might give her at least some insight.
She chuckled, leaning back a little bit and held her arms out with a shrug.  “I was invited a few years ago, after… I don’t know if you remember all those notes I used to take, back in high school?”  She pulled a small notepad out of her pocket for good measure, waving it a bit before putting it back as she continued to explain.  “A habit I picked up from my grandfather, I suppose, but the notes I was taking were way less to do with people watching than I let everyone assume.  Much more supernatural watching.”
“But what about you”, Leah started, intrigued.  “Were you involved with the Scribes before you left?”
A surge of warmth flooded her chest as Arden let herself be pulled into another hug. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d been hugged. Since her ex maybe? And that had been a short relationship. She quashed down the ache of disappointment and longing when Leah pulled back once again.
Shaking her head, she brought herself back to the moment– standing in front of an old friend in the middle of the secret headquarters of her secret society. An old friend she hadn’t spoken to in years and had actively pushed away, along with anyone else she had been remotely close to, before ultimately leaving town. She’d been so caught up in the moment, she had momentarily forgotten herself. And yet, Leah still seemed happy to see her, was hugging her and asking her about her mother.
Swallowing down another wave of emotions that had amassed in her throat, Arden gave her a faint smile. “Seems like I should’ve checked the house first. I know the organization is happy to see me, at least. Especially now that I’m a useful asset and not just a mess of a teenager ransacking their archives.”
She blinked at the woman’s explanation, head tilting to the side. “No shit?” Now that she mentioned it, she did recall Leah’s note-taking habits, but she had just assumed the girl was writing things she noticed about the people around her. She figured the other had been teaching herself to read people better or practice her writing skills or something, but, no, apparently all that time, she’d been taking note of the abnormal aspects of their town.
“So, wait, you knew about all of this back then? Or did you figure it out through the people watching? Was it something you found out about because of your grandfather?” The questions seeped out of her, her mind whirring with this new information. Could she have been discussing the supernatural with Leah this whole time? Could she have had a friend to confide in with all the bullshit secrets that she had struggled to keep to herself? The entire time???
She realized she was throwing a lot at Leah, though. “Sorry, I know that’s a lot of questions, I just had no idea you were aware of any of this. But, I imagine you’re probably feeling the same,” she added at the other’s question. “Yeah, I was… sort of.” Arden shrugged. “My parents were– or I guess are?– members. They were doing research on all of the-” She waved her hand, searching for a way to say it that wasn’t ‘supernatural bullshit.’ “-odd creatures here in Wicked’s Rest. I never got all the specifics, though I know my dad was slightly more into the field work aspect– he was a biologist, he loved plants and animals and all that– while my mom was, or is, I suppose, more into math/lab work kind of stuff. Not that I found out about any of this or even knew about the supernatural until after my dad died.”
She ran a hand through her hair, pushing it to one side, before realizing what she was doing and shoved her hands in the pockets of her pants. Stupid anxious habits. “I got legacied into the club, and basically lived in the library for a while,” she grinned. “Kept everyone up to date on whatever weird shit was going on at UMWR while I was doing the student paper.”
Leah wasn’t sure if it was their time apart or if Arden presented herself differently as an adult, but there were waves of emotion playing on her friend’s face that Leah couldn’t quite place.  She wished she could freeze time or jot down a note to come back later; an effective way to study the supernatural, but maybe not the most polite way to go about figuring out what your friend was feeling.  For the time being, she decided to chalk it up to a mix of nerves and emotion about being back in Wicked’s Rest.  If they were teenagers before Arden closed herself off, Leah would have pressed, but she was worried about the fragility of the situation, and so instead she did her best to keep her own expression neutral.  “God, I would have destroyed this place as a teenager”, she exclaimed, thinking back to her excitement when she first came.  “I almost did on my first visit, honestly”.
Arden had presented Leah with a sort of ‘chicken or the egg question’, and she hesitated before answering.  What came first?  Her knowledge of her own status as supernatural, or her hyperfixation on the subject altogether?  She wasn’t sure she could answer, because either possibility was entirely true.  Abuelo, her role model, with all his quirks and oddness, had lit her up with the flame and joys of research, so clearly she was interested, right?  Or, was she interested solely because learning more about the supernatural opened the door to learning more about herself?   She didn’t know.  She didn’t know if she cared to know, either.
But Arden gave her an out with her follow-up question, and she jumped on it.  “Before I was adopted, most of my family assumed my grandfather was off his rocker, but for some reason his bedtime stories were more fascinating than anyone else’s to me, and the obsession just sort of… stuck.  But I saw how much he was ridiculed about it, you know?  So I sort of kept that knowledge to myself, mostly.  He had been keeping some journals of his own, just based on his own observations, which is where I picked up the habit myself”, she explained, a wistful grin playing on her lips.  It wasn’t a lie, but there was a flicker of guilt playing in her belly at the omission of her being a siren and a phoenix- the one fact that had convinced her family her grandfather hadn’t been crazy after all.
“No kidding!” she said, trying her best to picture what her parents looked like.  She remembered the devastation when Arden’s father had passed, never quite knowing the truth behind his mysterious death.  But at the time, it felt like so many other deaths in Wicked’s Rest- quick, mysterious, and rapidly forgotten about.  If he was a scribe, maybe there was an explanation for his death after all.
“That is so cool”, she said earnestly, wondering what the odds were of them both ending up there.  Suddenly, she realized something from earlier.  “So that’s why you thought you’d find your mom here, I understand!  Does she… not know you’re back?”
“Oh, trust me, I know. I did destroy it,” Arden laughed. “There was one librarian– archivist?– who got so sick of me because I just wanted to read everything, so I’d end up pulling out huge stacks of books whenever I came in, and I’d take up a whole table just surrounding myself in books while I took notes.” She shook her head, smiling at the memory. “What an absolute menace.”
Leah did seem a little overwhelmed by the barrage of questions. There was something in her expression that made Arden feel like she shouldn’t have asked, though her response was sweet. It was clear how much Leah had cared for her grandfather. It made her think of her father.  He had loved to talk about fantasy and cryptids, had grown up regaling her with stories of magic and adventure. She just hadn’t realized at the time that he had actually believed, had known that a lot of it was real. She’d never given it a lot of thought, the research he had been working on. It was something her mother hadn’t elaborated on, and she had been too caught up in grief and her thirst for knowledge. Maybe he had notebooks of his own? He must have…
She pressed pause of that line of thought, looking to her friend with a smile. “I feel like your grandpa and my dad would’ve gotten along really well. That must’ve been so fascinating and exciting to discover.” It was sad to hear that he had been ridiculed. It made sense that Leah would’ve learned to keep everything a secret; it did still make her feel just a little insane to talk about the supernatural, and she had known the truth for over a decade now.
It had always been endearing to see Leah get excited about nerdy things, even more so because they had similar tastes, so she usually mirrored her enthusiasm, just less outwardly. It reminded her of old times, made her wonder if she should broach the topic of how she had left things. Eventually, she would have to– she felt too guilty not to. She needed to apologize, she just didn’t want to make things weird between them. Not right now, when it felt so good to be speaking again.
Arden knew she was scared, she was always scared. Scared to talk about it, scared Leah would be angry or hurt or disappointed in her, scared to potentially lose her again before they could even have the opportunity to rekindle a friendship. And, god, that idea scared her, too. Friendship. She was terrified of letting anyone in, of hurting anyone else. She had ruined all of her relationships out of fear and grief, and she had had to live with her guilt and shame and misery for years. At this point, she wasn’t even sure she could let herself be entirely vulnerable with anyone, but a small part of her begged for her to try. It whispered in the back of her mind, told her things could be different, especially now that Leah knew. There wouldn’t have to be secrets anymore, she didn’t have to be alone anymore.
She opened her mouth, not sure what she was going to say, when Leah spoke.
Does she… not know you’re back?
Ah, shit, right. Her mom. Arden grimaced. “Not exactly, no.” She felt incredibly guilty admitting to it. She was a terrible daughter. “I figured it’d just be easier to tell her once I got here.” The last thing she had wanted was her mother trying to get involved, being judgy and questioning her choices at every step of the process. She could get passive-aggressive about the fact that she hadn’t been informed, but all the important shit was already taken care of. Arden had a job and a place to live, and she had taken care of the move, it was done.
“That sounds endearing, not annoying”, Leah quipped with a grin, relating to Arden’s experience even more than she realized she would.  “Maybe that archivist had a misplaced distrust of passion.”  Her own first days in the Library felt like a whirlwind; like it had been both just the day before and decades ago at the same time.  “I would spend whole days in here, thinking only a few hours passed.  It was wild- but now I sort of miss when it all felt new, you know?  Well… as new as a bunch of dusty books can feel, anyway”.
The thought that their families could have been good friends sent a surge of warmth through Leah.  “Hey, there’s always a chance they knew each other, somehow.  It’s a small town- and we’re proof that nerds tend to gravitate toward each other.  Like weird nerd magnets. “
At her question, a blanket of guilt washed over Arden’s features, gentle and longing and incredibly sad.  It was odd, sure, that she had come back without notifying her mother but Leah knew there was so much she wasn’t aware of.  And hell, most days in Wicked’s Rest, Leah had seen things twice as odd before breakfast.  It wasn’t her job to pass judgment on a family situation, all though the gossip in her was dying to know more details and dig.  Perhaps in due time she would feel more comfortable doing just as much, but for then, Leah pressed her lips together gently.  “You’re probably right.  She’ll be thrilled to see you either way, I bet.  Most people love surprises!”
Inwardly, Leah chided herself, wondering if she had spoiled it and made their interaction awkward.  She sighed, looking down at her shoes and back up toward Arden.  “Do you think maybe she could wait a little longer?  I’m just about ready for lunch-  and I’ve been desperate for a lunch buddy these days.  I could show you everything around town that’s changed, if you’d like?”
_
She laughed at the other coming to the defense of her dorky 15 year old self. “He was just a grump.” She couldn’t help but smile as Leah basically described a feeling she was all too familiar. The thought of her sitting in the archives, pouring over the same books Arden had years earlier, made something bittersweet bloom in her chest. “I definitely get that feeling.” It had been so exciting and invigorating, learning so much back then. She wished it hadn’t been so intrinsically linked to one of the worst periods of her life. It had certainly helped get her through that time, but she hadn’t been able to fully enjoy anything back then.
Weird nerd magnets also got a laugh out of her. “Yeah, maybe they did.” She hoped they did.
She had been caught off guard by Leah asking about her mom, and hadn’t exactly tempered her reaction, but she doubted it would’ve helped even if she had. Leah had always been an observant person, good at reading people. It was clear from her expression that she was curious– that was something they had always shared, that hunger for knowledge– but Arden was grateful that she was willing to drop it. “Yeah,” she smiled, hoping she sounded convincing. Her mother had never been a fan of surprises.
At Leah’s invitation, she did perk up. The fact that she wanted to get lunch with her and show her around had a wave of emotions crashing against her chest. Since making the decision to move, Arden had been going back and forth, wondering whether it was a good idea or if she would just regret it all in the end. There was a reason she had left after all, this town had taken a lot from her. Not everything, though.
Maybe this time things could be different. She would make sure that things would be different, and she would repair the bridges she had tried to burn on her way out.
Arden smiled at her old friend, a warm feeling in her chest. “Yeah, that sounds really nice.”

NAME & TITLE/ROLE: William Shakespeare, Bard
EPITHET: the bard
AGE: 27
FACECLAIM: Diego Calva
THREE POSITIVE TRAITS: gifted, charming, ambitious
THREE NEGATIVE TRAITS: self-serving, arrogant, brash
sidenote: ofc since he's entirely au, i'm taking some liberties and changing things - namely he's not yet married, the order in which some of his plays were writte, personality and vices etc!!!!
Shakespeare was the son of John Shakespeare, an alderman and a successful glover (glove-maker) originally from Snitterfield in Warwickshire, and Mary Arden, the daughter of an affluent landowning family. Educated at a free schiik and prodigious in his studies, William's ambitions and artistic always exceeded his social standing. A bright but mischevious child, William quickly became known as a man who spoke with candour and grace, but failed to mince words, or keep harsh opinions to himself.
At twenty set off for London, in the hopes of coming playwright - a rough draft of Richard III, tucked under his arm. His talent earned him renowned, and ire from local critics; their poor reviews of his work, did not deter audiences, nor Wiliam himself. A lover of history, he drew from the lives of the past monarchs - slightly to the ire, of the late King.
Currently, William has completed three plays and is penning a fourth; Richard III, Taming of the Shrew, and Henry VI - although the late King did not always appreciate Wiliam's creative choices, his plays were sought to reifnorce the legitimacy and justification, for Tudor rule. Currently, he seeks to finish A Midsummer Night's Dream; a romantic, magical tale, with the levity fit for a new and romantic Tudor King.
(sorry not sorry for the Hamilton reference) William writes like he's running out of time; he'll write for a day straight, if inspiration strikes. Otherwise, he enjoys the life of a famous playwright - feasts, pubs, drinks, fine art and a bevy of lovers, those he is most fond of, serving as inspiration. He believes he shall marry one day - but certainly not anytime soon.
He's charming, brash, and will not fail to offer his opinion, even when it is neither desired nor required - a habit that either endears him to people, or adds to his growing list of enemies. Also he's a bi king as I believe Shakesy P was in my heart
wanted connections
art lovers - theatre goers, patrons, those who love art works, lovers of poetry, anyone with similar intersts he can speak to about his passions
enemies - he's got a lot of them and for good reason !!!
friends, collegues - those he's known for a while, keeps in correspondance with
past lovers - to be plotted out so it works !! but former lovers/current muses, etc!!

"Ven, mi pequeña, vamos a jugar,
