and just like that Oberyn delivers the killing blow and decapitates The Mountain.

Cersei screams bloody murder while Tyrion cackles like the Smiling Knight reborn

Oberyn impales Gregor's head with his spear and shows his trophy for all to see and grins at Lord Tywin as he declares Tyrion innocent in the eyes of gods and men.

Oberyn offers Tyrion to come to Dorne with him. Tyrion accepts because it's only a matter of time before Cersei has him killed.

Before he leaves, Tyrion says his goodbyes to Jaime. Perhaps Jaime's guilt like in the book is too great and tells him about Tysha and Tyrion pledges to kill him like he did in ASOS.

Tyrion, what feels like lifetimes is waiting for the Dornish Prince and in a fit of rage, Tyrion asks him "What kept you???" "I just had to see your father one last time before we left. He confessed." Tyrion was curious and asked more. "Let's just say the Red Keep is going to smell for a long time." hint to the Oberyn poisoned Tywin theory.

Trystane and Myrcella's betrothal stands and Arianne makes no attempt

I do believe that The Sand Snakes would not be so in demand of trying to crown Myrcella like they did in AFFC.

I do believe if there is an attempt on Myrcella's life by Darkstar, then Oberyn would've killed him. "You bring nothing but shame to Starfall."

Oberyn got what he wanted. The Mountain and Tywin's deaths and justice for Elia.

Tyrion would relish in this plan and all he would ask Prince Doran is the death of his sister and for Casterly Rock to fall to him because nothing would grant his father more misery from beyond the grave than for Tyrion to take his birthright as Lord of Casterly Rock.

Oberyn would work with Doran to fulfill the rest of his brother's long game. Include his daughters in on the plan. Obara, Tyene and Nymeria play their parts while Oberyn goes with Arianne to meet with Aegon and Jon Connington.

I'd like to see Oberyn kicking Joncon's ass for even daring to blame and insult Elia for Rhaegar's fall.

But getting Aegon and Arianne on the Iron Throne is more important than putting the trash in his place.

Aside from that, I don't know what role Oberyn can play.

Leading the ousting of the Lannisters from King's Landing?

But lets say for the sake of things.

Aegon is a real Targaryen or a Blackfyre. Aegon is crowned as King and Arianne as Queen. The Martells win and ultimately leads to the ruin of Tywin's legacy.

anyways this exists in my mind as like “asoiaf but more overtly subtextually gay” where aegon/jon is show!visaemon levels of intense but jonsa still happens. those two are straight up secret married in front of a weirwood and bran officiating as a crow, then jon gets sent as an envoy to treat with the hot new claimant to the iron throne and immediately falls ass deep into another identity crisis surrounding wanting to bang his sibling. enter sansa, who does not like aegon’s weird incest vibes bc HIS are rancid, hers are fine bc it’s not incest anymore thanks very much, just absolutely managing to third wheel this burgeoning targaryen mutually assured destruction spiral through the power of passive aggressive messages alone. becoming fond of each other solely bc of their relationship with jon (see “what you did for her is the only reason i’m not killing you” but apply it to sansa/aegon snarking at each other over jon). this will never happen tho so it only exists in my mind!!!!

Jal ->

* They aren't gonna be endgame. Val is kinda a blank slate, even Harry Hardyng has more personality and he only appeared in a sample chapter + Jon dreams of an idyllic life with Val, but based on his own tastes, in his own image of what Val should be, and this imagined future is shattered the moment Val declares that Shireen, an innocent child, should be killed. Jon is rightfully disgusted "this was a Val that Jon had never seen before", this Val is the real one, not the one he had imagined, and Jon isn't attracted to the real Val

* I kinda ship them. Listen Harry isn't perfect, far from it, but he isn't significantly older than Sansa, he didn't abuse her, he didn't sexualised her (guys she's 13), he geniunely admires her qualities (her intelligence and humor), he apologized for his classism (and he hates LF so it's no wonder he didn't want to marry LF's "bastard daughter")

He only thinks of Lyanna when he's triggered by traumatic events like Sansa pleading for Lady or when he's injured and anesthetized by the milk of the poppy and he barely thinks of his own father and brother so it wouldn't be surprising

Seventh Fairy Edmure tries to save the day but it doesn't work. Anyway. Robb was young, he made a ton of mistakes, especially towards his own family, but he didn't want any of this, he didn't want to be king, he wasn't ready, he wanted to save Jeyne's honor, he wanted to do the right thing (unlike the show version). I want Jeyne to make it at the end but I'm pessimistic. They deserved better. I kinda ship them

"Mother can I see Vermithor?" Derran asked as you held him in your arms.

"Perhaps on the morrow, I feel quite tired now." You answered kissing the top of his curly black hair.

"Because of baby?" He asked delicately patting your swollen belly.

"Yes my sweet boy... Where did you loose Aegon?" You asked, knowing that whenever Darren was Aegon was around.

"Eggie in lessons. Didn't interrupt." Your son mumbled playing with your silver hair.

"You did good, my love."

"What a sight to see." Qoren said entering your shared chambers. "Hello my love." He said and kneeled in front of you, pressing a kiss to your lips and to your son's forehead.

"Good morrow, Qoren." You answered.

"A letter arrived from the capitol." Your husband said and passed you the parchment, he took Darren into his arms and pressed kisses on his chubby cheeks. You read the letter carefully.

"Shall we prepare for travel?" You asked.

Rhaenyra's and Laenor's wedding has arrived.

"I would assume so."

"I love you." You murmured and pressed a kiss to your husbands lips.

"As I you. How is our little one doing?" He answered, caressing your cheek.

"Good, I would assume. I am tired without a reason." You answered rubbing your pregnant belly.

"She will be strong then, since she's taking yours."

"I would like a girl, it seems you do as well." You mused noticing that your husband oft referred to the babe as she.

"Could we name her after my grandmother? I think the name Arianne would suit her."

"And if it's a boy?" You questioned tangling your fingers in his curly, thick black hair.

"What do you think we should name our son?"

"I like Nymor, after Nymeria the warrior Queen."

"A fine name, princess." He looked fondly at your growing belly. Caressing the swell through your pale orange dress.

You were excited to go back to King's Landing, you missed your family terribly. After all it has been three years, six moons after your wedding you conceived and then bore a son, Derran. He was born strong, with violet eyes and black hair. Two years later you fell pregnant again.

You along with your son and Aegon would depart on dragon back. Nothing compared to the feeling of flying with your steed. Vermithor was not overly fond of the hot temperature of Dorne so he was excited to come back to the Crowlands.

Sunfyre was able to lift Aegon, and per his request he flew on his own, next to your mount. Vermithor took off, his wings threw shade at the city below. Derran was strapped to the saddle with leather belts while Nymor was tied to your chest.

The flight took a few hours, the bronze fury flew on his own remembering the path. Sunfyre flew circles the elder dragon. Vermithor screeched in dismay at the energetic young dragon. The bronze fury landed on the hills near the dragon pit, the dragon walked towards the gates to the caves he once called home.

The streets were clean and decorated with Targaryen sigils, the wedding of the crown heir was a huge ordeal and rightfully so. You smiled as you saw the familiar red bricks of the place you grew up in.

Rhaenyra along with the rest of your family awaited your arrival in the courtyard. You stepped out of the carriage, the stench of the city invaded your nostrils.

"y/n!" Rhaenyra smiled and ran up to you, she engulfed you in a bone crushing hug. You smiled and hugged her back, you heard the little footsteps of Haelaena and Aemond. They hugged your skirts smiling and laughing as you caressed their silver locks.

"Sister it has been far too long." Viserys smiled, you approached your brother and smiled sadly at his condition. You placed a kiss on his cheek and bowed your head at Alicent. Ever since you started taking an interest in her children she could not stand you. Even though you have done nothing wrong she knew how much her children loved you.

"There is someone I would like you to meet, brother." You mused and walked into the carriage picking Derran into your arms. "Brother this is my son Derran."

"Adorable babe." Viserys mused picking up Derran into his arms. "He looks like our father. The same brows, nose and eyes."

"I will take your word for it, then." You answered, servants approached taking your belongings to the chambers that once belonged to you.

"Mother!" Derran whined in his uncles grasp.

"This is your uncle Viserys, Derran." You answered, Rhaenyra fawned over her cousin and took him into her arms, he giggled in delight.

Soon enough your child was taken away from you, and you were left with Daemon.

"Brother" You said, the man smiled and kissed your cheek pressing his forehead against yours.

"Sister" He answered, his violet eyes stopped at your pregnant belly. His large hand rested upon the top he smiled gently as he felt the babe kick. "What will you name it?"

"Nymor if it's a boy and Arianne if it's a girl." You answered in common tongue.

"Dornish names." He responded taking you by your arm, the two of you walked to the gardens.

"They will be princelings of house Martell, it is only fitting." You mused and leaned on Daemon's shoulder.

"Do you love him?" Your brother suddenly asked. You took a deep breath and glanced at his violet eyes.

"I do." You whispered, you could see the evident anger in his orbs. The happy atmosphere soon soured, not wishing to spend another moment like that, you departed for your chambers.

...

You awoke feeling the babe press itself onto your spine, you sighed leaning towards your sleeping husband. A small smile graced your lips, you pressed a kiss to his dark curly hair.

"Is it the babe?" Qoren mumbled still half asleep, you smiled caressing his naked back.

"Don't worry it is nothing." You mused and left your shared bed to the chamber pot. "Your child however presses itself against my spine and bladder."

Qoren laughed.

"Our child are they not?"

"Of course but only one of us has to carry it for nine months and then push it out of my body."

"That is true and I am eternally thankful for your sacrifice." Your husband mused kneeling in front of you and pressed his ear against your belly. "Hello little dragon." He said and pressed a kiss.

"Could we stay here longer? As much as I and Aegon enjoy Sunspear I do miss my home" You asked your husband.

"As you wish dear wife." He answered "With having a flying beast there come some perks." You laughed at his jest a comfortable silence falling between the two of you. Your body leaned into his as you laid comfortably on the bed.

"I love you." Qoren muttered into your silver hair, you looked up at him kissing the bridge of his nose.

"As I you."

Your maids tied the red and silver dress as the others combed through your long silver locks.

"How do you feel your highness?" One of your maids a young girl of only four and ten asked.

"It is bearable, Annora. Though I cannot wait once it's out of me." You mussed caressing the swell of your belly.

"It is good the pregnancy is at its end." Annora smiled and tied the knots of your sleeves. "I pray to the gods everyday for a safe delivery."

"Thank you my dear." You thanked the red haired girl. "Come now I intend to visit my niece."

You watched as the maids helped Rhaenyra put on her dress, when they moved towards her silver locks you interrupted.

"Please leave us." The maids bowed and left the two princesses alone. "I always did your hair, I will do so as long as we're together." You caressed Rhaenyra's cheek and begun to brush her hair. 

"Thank you, y/n" The princess of Dragonstone mused caressing your palm. "I missed you so much."

You answered back and braided her hair in comfortable silence, embedding rubies and obsidian into the hairstyle. A Valyrian song leaving your lips.

Ser Steffon and Ser Criston escorted the two of you to the great hall where the celebration for Rhaenyra's wedding took place. Ser Harrold announced the two princesses.  

You smiled as you noticed your husband already seated at the high table you took your place next to him as Rhaenyra sat next to her father. The guests begun arriving, ser Harrold announcing their presences. You chuckled quietly as lord Lannister embarassed himself in front of Rhaenyra and Viserys

"Lord Corlys of house Velaryon, lord of the tides and master of Driftmark and his lady wife Princess Rhaenys Targaryen and their son and heir Ser Laenor Velaryon the future king consort!" Ser Harrold announced the powerful house. All of them dressed in gold and teal, a true Valyrian house. You smiled as you saw them enter, the crowd applauded their arrival. They bowed before the high table. Rhaenyra abandoned her seat and met with Laenor half way.

"My bethroded." She smiled, Laenor kissed the palm of her hand and the court once again applauded. The Velaryon's took their place on Viserys's left side of the table. But the peaceful moment has been interrupted by Daemon making his appearance soon after the Velaryon's.

He strode proudly through the great hall, the crowd whispered at this sight. He smirked as he approached the high table, an extra chair placed on the tail end of the table.

"Be welcome, as we join together in celebration. Tonight is only it's beginning we honour the crown's oldest and fiercest ally, House Velaryon. Reaching back to the days of Old Valyria and the Age of Dragons with House Targaryen and House-" Viserys stopped his speech mid word, he intensely gazed at the entrance to the great hall. The crowds eyes soon followed.

Queen Alicent dressed in Hightower green has arrived. The courtiers stood up to honour her grace. You exchanged a look with your husband, the green beacon of Hightower you thought.

"Congratulations stepdaughter. What blessing this is for you." She spoke the new way that she addressed Rhaenyra did not go unnoticed.

"Please be seated." Viserys asked once Alicent took her seat. "With House Targaryen and House Velaryon united, I hope to herald in a second Age of Dragons in Westeros." Viserys finished his speech the court applauded and banged their hands on the table cheering for his grace. "And after tonights small affair... Seven days of tournament and feasting. And at the end of it all, a royal wedding between my daughter, my heir, your future Queen and Ser Laenor Velaryon the heir to Driftmark." You clapped and smiled as Viserys confirmed Rhaenyra as heir.

The first dance was started by Rhaenyra and Laenor the two of them moved gracefully to the sound of music. An old Valyrian dance, to display the two houses origins. You watched with your husbands the two smiled and talked. Soon the rest of the courtiers decided to dance as is the custom in such celebrations. Alicent moved from the table to where house Hightower was sitting.

"Shall we dance, my dear?" Qoren proposed and you agreed taking his hand. From the corner of your eye you saw ser Gerald talk with Daemon. The tragic incident that befallen Rhea Royce was no accident. Laena skipped towards the dance floor and Daemon followed after her. The two seemed engaged in conversation, as your feet ached you walked to the table.

"Cousin I am so glad to see you in King's Landing." You said to Rhaenys.

"As am I. I believe congratulations are in order." She said and her husband Lord Corlys agreed.

"Thank you, it is rather tedious to be with child." You muttered and Rhaenys chuckled.

"It is, isn't it? I remember when I was pregnant with Laenor. I could not sleep for the death of me." Rhaenys told her memories.

Your pleasant conversation has been interrupted by various screams. You stood from your seat searching for Rhaenyra. She was carried by Ser Harwin breakbones. The crowd stilled and Ser Criston rose from the floor, his hands and armour bloody.

"The love of the seven is holy and eternal. The source of life and love. We stand here tonight in thanks and praise to join two souls as one." The septon spoke "Father, Mother, Warrior, Smith, Maiden, Crone, Stranger. Hear now their vows."

"I am yours and you are mine." Laenor spoke through tears "Whatever may come."

"I am yours and you are mine. Whatever may come." Rhaenyra held back her tears. You watched with sadness in your own your husband caressing your back in comfort.

"Here in the presence of gods and men, I proclaim Laenor of House Velaryon, Rhaenyra of House Targaryen, to be man and wife. One flesh, on heart, one soul now and forever." The high septon said the vows. Viserys fell to the ground, the crown of King Jaehaerys rolling on the stone floor.

"AHH!" You screeched crushing the bedpost with your hand as another contraction paralysed your body. Sweat drenched your cotton tunic, you could feel the anger and pain of your dragon. His roars shook the Red Keep.

"Princess-" One of the midwives approached your curled form.

"Don't touch me!" You seethed, baring your teeth. The servants watched as you suffered on your own.

"My wife! Where is my wife!?" Qoren burst into the room to see you scream and cry with pain. He stared in disbelief at the midwives who did nothing. "Why are you not helping the princess?!"

"S-She refuses our help." One of the maids whispered.

"Leave then!" He screamed and rushed to your side kneeling next to you. "My love, I'm here."

"Qoren..?" You asked absentmindedly "I can't-" You breathed, your face contorting in pain.

"Yes you can! You already did this once, our boy. He cannot be without you! I cannot be without you." Qoren cried as he helped you stand.

"Get it- Get it out of me." You pleaded leaning on your husband.

"No child should grow up without parents, remember?" He pleaded "Please, my love."

You stared up at his worried face, placing your palm against his cheek. You squatted taking your husbands hand the other leaned on the bed.

"Urghh!" You groaned and pushed, pushed and groaned. Qoren kneeled between you, his hands under your tunic helping you.

"The head..!" He whispered hopefully.

You placed your hand in between your legs to feel the babe make its way into the world. With a final push, it slid out of your body into your husbands arms. A loud cry pierced the silence that befallen the chamber.

"A boy" Your husband breathed in relief handing you the newborn, tears streamed down your cheeks. This time from happiness.

"Nymor, my son. Oh my sweet boy." You cried cradling the crying infant. One of the midwives walked in, helping you with the newborn. Swaddling him in cloth and cutting the cord.

"He's beautiful." Qoren mused pressing a kiss to your sweaty brow. The midwife placed him in your arms and you latched him to your breast. Wisps of blonde hair and eyes a light brown bordering on red.

The Grimm beginning of the union between Princess Rhaenyra and Lord Laenor became a subject of superstition. A bad omen for the future Queen and her royal Consort. But a fortnight after Princess y/n delivered a healthy son, lifting the sour mood.- From the dragon bringer by the feather and quill of Grand Maester Roland.

at its core what makes something a good adaptation vs bad? chabhes will be made from one medium to another but like what is the most important thing to keep in mind?

Honestly, I think it's very specific to a specific work, and there aren't hard and fast rules or a checklist.

Generally, I consider it to be one of two things:

Is it faithful to the spirit of the work?

Is it telling a good story?

I also think there are two other items to talk about that aren't as directly connected but still matter:

Did you enjoy it?

Spirit of the Work

I generally think The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy is one of the best adaptations, because while it reworks order of events and cuts certain parts, it gets the main themes and character arcs across. The spirit of the work holds firm even when they're adding battles. In fact, as someone who likes alchemical literature, I find it really cool how the films used alchemy too--but used different markers than the books.

Contrast this with Game of Thrones. The problem was there in the earlier seasons but didn't become as apparent until the ending. They kept the characters for the most part and combined some characters, namely characters fans generally don't care a ton about (Arianne, f!Aegon). However, in doing so they neglected to think of the purpose of Arianne and f!Aegon in the story, and by combining them with the characters whose arcs A&A literally exist to comment on (Dany and Jon), they created a disaster thematically. Plus, they took the likely events of the ending, but completely altered the order and thereby the framing, changing it from a romantic tragedy that gives hope to a confusing mess that lives in infamy.

A Good Story

Is it telling a good story? Is it well done, or when watching/reading an adaptation, are you left with people saying "well that doesn't make sense here, but it did make sense in the manga/book"?

House of the Dragon is kind of failing here, and the cracks are starting to show more and more... but this was the case with GoT too, and it honestly does revert to "spirit of the work" in a lot of ways, too. Someone, anyone, who loves Romanticism and is well-versed in it, please adapt GRRM's stories so that the poor man doesn't have to write things like this which he did about a month ago:

"Everywhere you look, there are more screenwriters and producers eager to take great stories and “make them their own.” It does not seem to matter whether the source material was written by Stan Lee ... Ian Fleming, Roald Dahl, Ursula K. Le Guin, J.R.R. Tolkien, Mark Twain ... Jane Austen, or… well, anyone.  No matter how major a writer it is, no matter how great the book, there always seems to be someone on hand who thinks he can do better, eager to take the story and “improve” on it.   “The book is the book, the film is the film,” they will tell you, as if they were saying something profound. Then they make the story their own. They never make it better, though. Nine hundred ninety-nine times out of a thousand, they make it worse."

Context

This is where the asterisk comes in for MDZS. I'm actually talking about The Untamed, not the donghua. And The Untamed fails a bit at a sensical story at times, and does change aspects of the novel that directly negate the main themes (and made fandom unbearable).

However, given the fact that it was made in China, where they can't show queer characters directly and cannot promote gray morality (central to the story) they did the best they could. They kept all the characters human, and even expanded on some of their roles in ways that felt very faithful to the spirit of the novel.

And? That is partially based on the next question.

Something doesn't have to be a good adaptation for you to enjoy it. You can really like something while acknowledging it's strong on its own, but is a different beast than the original work.

you're being held at gunpoint to make one asoiaf ship you HATE canon. which one are you picking and why

sigh. god. im not picking any of The Cursed Jon Triumvirate (rya/sa/erys) because having any of them win would make their fans so annoying. i dislike sansan on the basis of like how its fans disregard sansa's agency but purely based on text i think it can be done well. any other old man x sansa ships are evil and i could not even hypothetically make them canon. lucemond.... well it would be funny. it would certainly be very funny and while the stans would become radioactive and possibly worse than the triumvirate i think it would be a train wreck that i wouldn't be able to look away from. i haaaaate any aegon (young griff) ship cos its all speculative and idk speculative stuff does nothing for me it can never be canon to me. arya x aegon or arianne x aegon.... like girl thats nothing. thats nothing.

Send a 👫and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship ACCEPTING

1. Viserys is at first in their more canon relationships, trying to be perfect. The mindset he takes with Dany meeting Drogo is the same approach he takes with meeting Rhaenys. This is family after all and he doesn't want her to think ill of him. But after a while he realizes he can let himself go and he doesn't have to look after her like she's Dany 2.0. She's lived her life safe and protected in Dorne not on the run in Essos. This and that notion in general that he and Dany are finally safe and protected is one that hits him hard at some point when they are hanging out, maybe causing some mischief because Rhaenys insisted on it and Viserys cries in relief. He can pause and take a breath for once in his life and be in the moment with family.

2. For our Rhaegar rules verse, Viserys very much tries to live up to the expectations Rhaegar has and much like show Daemon at points feels like he will never amount to any of the expectations his brother, the king has of him and Viserys worries that Rhaegar thinks he will be like their father. But thats why he loves spending time with Rhaenys. He can be himself around her and not worry and he finds himself more and more drawn to her the older she gets. (Sounds so horrible I know but luckily a 4 year age gap between them is decent the older they get!) Viserys starts courting her when she's around 15-16 mainly trying to get a feel for her and if she's into him at all. Rhaegar has marriage alliances sent out, Rhaenys to Robb Stark. Viserys to Arianne Martell. Aegon and Dany to Tyrell family and back up plan, Cersei and Roberts children. Viserys doesn't care though the longer they flirt with one another and the attraction is clear between them and on one fateful night when Rhaegar and children visit Viserys at Dragonstone, Viserys finds himself on a midnight stroll by the beach with Rhaenys and thats when he proposes to her.

3. Being a ward of the usuper is not easy and it's even harder when you see your nice show up posing as her uncles bastard daughter. Viserys pleads with her and Oberyn to take him back with them despite knowing what danger it can put Dorne in. Cersei doesn't know how much longer she can keep two wards under house arrest in Kings Landing and Sansa is enough trouble. Viserys takes advantage of that when the purple wedding happens and Oberyn is to fight the Mountain. He thinks this is his chance to leave to a better place with family. (Not to mention Oberyn tells him of the marriage pact between him and Arianne. Though Vis sees a Martell he'd rather have) but disaster sticks and Rhaenys is nearly caught and put as a "ward" as well once Sansa has fled and Oberyn dead. Viserys though has a way out and he and Rhaenys flee to Dorne.

4. Being 4 years apart I can see them being more like siblings in any AU that they spend quality time in. Same goes for Aegon and Dany and this creates some interesting dynamics Rhaegar did not take into account. Mainly Viserys and Rhaenys ganging up on Rhaegar for things and to go do X Y and Z activities. They both convince Rhaegar to let all four of them go on a tour of the Seven Kingdoms with Viserys being the "responsible leader" (Arthur Dayne and William Darry are also in tow to keep them safe and in check. When they arrive in Winterfell, Viserys is pelted by numerous snowballs that Rhaenys learned to make from the Starks. Both Rhaenys and Viserys gossip the whole time when they arrive in Storms End, Rhaenys holding back a gangly but muscled Viserys from beating up a child. (Joffery. Joffery is an ass and Viserys has anger issues.)

Do you think Aegon is marrying Arianne?

I think that is extremely likely, yes.

Leaving aside all political considerations, I think GRRM is going for a metaphor here - one that will mirror Jon in the North - of Rhaegar's sons alligning themselves with their mothers over their father, both of whom hail from places with historically contentious relations with the dragons. The ensuing resistance against Daenerys (who heavily identifies with Rhaegar and the Conqueror both) is not just political, not pragmatic, it's emotional at the core. The legacy of the women Rhaegar wronged represents his ultimate defeat.

Jon was raised by the Starks and his choice is obvious (the drama there will have a different angle) but for Aegon the marriage to Arianne represents that commitment and allignment with resistance against conquest, against dragons. At the side of Dorne and Westeros as a whole, rather than as a dragon embracing the power to oppress them. The sun's son.

Not only does a marriage to Arianne put a big exclamation point to that choice, it also invites the possibility that Elia Martell's line will continue through a child by Arianne and Aegon, the future ruler of an independent Dorne, even if Aegon himself goes down fighting.

Ship: one I don’t see a lot of is Arianne/Theon. Their pre character development selves would be a lot of chaos and I’d love to see it. But for a more serious note, Arianne/Val. Although I’m not too a lie and say those are both not cracky AF

BrOTP: Elia Sand, really digging the big/little sister vibes

NOTP: Jon Snow. Between how much older she is to him making it vastly inappropriate (seven years isn’t a lot, but it sure as hell is for a teenager) and the fact the majority of them come from harem fics, I really just tend to avoid them

Random Headcannon: Even Doran’s patience was tested when Rhaenys was born and all Arianne would talk about was trying to meet her only other “princess” relative.

General Opinion: A vast underrated character and she is going to do more in the upcoming book then just marrying Aegon and becoming a consort.
