Stolen Art

Found someone here on Tumblr who was reposting art. I believe they were reposting art from Hunter X Hunter and perhaps other pieces of media, but I will be focusing on the Total Drama pieces they reposted.

I do not support harassment, and while I also do not support reposting art- without credit or permission- I do not want any harm to come to the reposter's way. I'm only here to give credit to the stolen art. Instead of spreading negativity, we will be spreading love by going to the original pieces in question.

I don't trust this site.

And that's it! Minus a couple of memes, that's all of the art I found on the Total Drama tag of this person's account. They have posted, saying they will be deleting their account soon, so I'm not very worried about their account being leaked. However, I have cropped their name just in case.

Others have commented on their account- mostly on their more recent total drama posts- telling them to stop stealing art, which has gone ignored by this person. Some pieces, however, have been mistaken to be the art reposter's work, such as the sallychan Aleheather rain animation. I only made this post to give credit to those with their art stolen.

Again, do not go and harass this person. Don't even comment on their posts if you somehow find them. The only reason I found this person in the first place was because I had liked their post with @/homkamiro's work. Please go follow the original artists and like the original pieces. Thank you!

If you're worried about your work being stolen, please put watermarks on your stuff. I know it can be annoying, and I have avoided doing so myself, but it does help if someone happens to take your work without permission and doesn't credit you.

hi i just watched the art theft episode of the monkees and i like to headcanon that after that peter just stuck to hand drawings (its a lot safer lol) and he finds that drawing helps him convey his emotions better. and he draws for the guys when they're upset too! and the other boys treasure them! like mike will be in one of his stressed out moods and peter will just sit down and draw him something and then later he excitedly shows mike like a crayon drawing of them all holding hands in a field of flowers. "look mike i made you a picture!" mike is visibly moved by this and is holding back tears. "this is going on the fridge."

literally everything about ai art is shady and evil, but it's COMICALLY so when they keep going behind artists' backs to pay the sites that host their art for permission to steal it, rather than just asking artists openly to give it to them. they KNOW going about it above-board would get them nowhere because nowhere NEAR enough artists to be in any way useful would ever actually agree to let them tear their work apart and then resell it for their own profit.

and both deviantart and tumblr have taken the bribe, selling their users' content to these monsters. twitter probably too, based on its ownership.

Something that confuses me is when people in art communities say stuff like “please do not get inspired by my characters” like…. We do not voluntarily do that sort of thing? If I’m inspired then I’m inspired, oh well. Can’t turn it off.

I understand “Don’t copy/heavily reference my characters” but that’s different than, for example, seeing a character with horns like a glitter shaker charm and getting the idea to make a completely different character with a different gender and color scheme who also has glitter shaker charm horns/body parts. Or seeing a black cat furry and also making a black cat furry. Or seeing a neon colored lizard and deciding to make a neon colored dragon. Stuff like that isn’t up to you to control, don’t act like it is. As long as it’s not a blatant copy then its fine. Its not like you’ll ever know unless you’re told.

wow cool got my art stolen.

so uh. weird things happening over here. my art got stolen without my credit on twitter, which sucks :( big thank you to @Alter_Ego262 on twitter for notifying me about this. anyway i left a comment saying that this was stolen art, and went onto the twitter's discord server (apparently its some furry group thing?) and tried to ask them for credit. got instantly blocked, so that sucks. but after a closer look this group, Furry Valley, looked a little familiar? and yeah they are familiar because i remember seeing exposees on them because theyre an actual honest to god furry cult. like genuinely, i know the word cult is thrown around a lot but like an actual cult. the leader is well known for blackmailing people into staying, and also all of their socials are super suspicious. they hide any comments about them that are negative. its so fucking creepy. OH AND ALSO THE LEADER SIMBA WAS INVOLVED IN THE KEROTHEWOLF CONTROVERSY. i am not going to discuss that but it is actually one of the most fucked up things to ever happen in the furry community. and the leader was in on that. this is actually fucking horrifying. christ.

dont look into furry valley, all their art is stolen (even from really popular artists? like ones you can recognize on style alone?) and the controversy around them is fucking nightmarish. thats all. fuck these guys lol. at least i have a story about it now. happy pride month.

Found a random Total Drama post on TikTok where someone was ranking various TDI work. None of the work was credited, because of course. I already do not like the video based on the ranking stuff, and I think that's just plain rude to do to people's art, regardless if they are just beginning. Either way, I do not support harassment, so please do not go out of your way to look for this user. Please and thank you.
