i got to play my first session of a dnd campaign im in 2 weeks ago and it was so fun,, so i drew this scene from it with my character Asenath being carried by Artemis Entreri through the sewers :D (the goat @ghostoforpheus is the DM and plays Artemis in this so thanks to him so much for giving my brain more things to feast on!!!)

Odd October #1

A bit of story: Asenath, the feathery female bird thing, is not only the wife of Rodan, she also loves pranks. And being an idol whose powers are smoke and mirrors, she thought it would be funny to scare her husband and his other two bigshot god friends,Mothra and Godzilla. So she convinced Ghidorah to allow her to disguise him as Destroyah, who is currently in a deep sleep.

Now Mothra and Rodan are scared of him, but Godzilla, who is younger than Rodan, could care less. Until it's revealed that this is Ghidorah. His ex. He's so scared by his ugliness that he screams.

This of course shocks and offends Ghidorah.

Context: This was originally for September but it got moved to this month and probably will be lined and colored next month.

Asenath's and Anjya's first meeting! Asenath never seen Repentias before, so she is confused why a scantly clad fit woman with a giant sword rushed her. Remembering that Imperium is an extremely barbaric state, having nurtured her planet's human population for millennia now, the Phaerakh figured out that this has to be some sort of courting ritual of a concubine that was sent to her as a peace offering. And while she no longer can indulge in pleasures of the flesh, who is she to decline such a generous offer?

Roberta "Robin" Howard, most of the way through her metamorphosis into a fish-man. She was a foundling, so she wasn't prepared for when her body started gaining aquatic traits in her late teens. The prescription on those glasses is super high, and she's legally blind without them because her eyes are fully adapted to seeing underwater.

She has an alter ego (of a sort; memories are shared, and the dissociative aspect of her psyche is a side effect of her heritage rather than a result of trauma) who's taken to calling herself "Asenath."

One day I'll design a character with normal-looking eyes, but today is not that day.

Home Sweet Home

It's been ages since I made a proper picture of Asenath as a child (since 2022 in fact), so I decided to rectify that by drawing her in her hometown of Mesquite, in the state of Nevada, with the Virgin Mountains standing in the background. Her town was located near the border of Arizona, making it the easternmost territory of the NCR, from which Mesquite had officially been a part of since 2250 (in my story, anyway).

Asenath was nine years old when this photo was taken (she was born in September 2261) and she actually had a very happy childhood, though unfortunately that wouldn't last when the town got attacked by Caesar's Legion in late 2271. Her family survived with only minor injuries, and although the NCR came out victorous by a thread, the lives lost in the battle were simply too great. Despite the traumatic event, the survivors of Mesquite had no choice but to move on, including Asenath's family, even when her father got exiled soon after.
