And truth be told, it's easier to just pretend that this man before him is not the same that told him all these horrible things, that did these horrible things. It's easier to just pretend that Ed was always the man he loved, not someone he feared, he hated.

Izzy shakes his head and only glances at Ed for a moment ❝It's hard to believe ya. That you think I deserve this... that you will wait for me.❞

It didn't feel right, he was used to this little angry fucker to be bursting with confidence.

"Take all the time ya need." He doesn't mean that, Edward wasn't sure how much longer he could last on this ship. Yet, he says what the other would want to hear, that there was indeed time. "I'll...I'll be here a little while longer." Edward lies with a smile.

Anything That CAN go wrong DID (aka Murphy's Law) AU--

[CW FOR, Torture, Drug use, Alcohol abuse]

An Au of Baby where, as the title implies, a lot of things went VERY wrong, starting with getting captured by imposters with the intent to torture and brainwash them into becoming one as well. Then, their Best Friend got captured as well in his attempts to find them, and things simply got worse.

Eventually, the both of them manage to escape planet side, and try to go into hiding, but the imposters won't let them go so easily, assassins, hitmen, and bounty hunters after then nigh constantly to try and get them back. Luckily, they have a friend who's able to help them get them set up with disguises. Baby is now Wasabi, a tired single father who works at the daycare his daughter goes to. He tries to keep his head down, be a good father, and stay out of trouble but... Trouble keeps finding him.

He picked up quite a few bad habits to try and cope, though he tries to keep that away from his daughter as much as possible. He's put on a tougher act to try and defend himself, a bit sharp and prickly, trying to push people away. If you can get past his walls, he's... Really lonely.

IDOL Au-

It starts the same as Murphy's Law Au, but instead of Wasabi being the disguise, Baby somehow ended up becoming a popstar! Going by the Alias Strawbaby, they're struggling to balance being a pop idol, a father, AND the constant threats on their life.

But hey, at least their performances have incredible security!

Propaganda AU-

Why did he ever pick up the phone...?

Briar was... Content, living in the safety of the city once he got out on his own. Sure, he felt off about some things, not everything said about magic made sense, but why would he deny what he's been taught his whole life? He's fine... Until one day he gets a mysterious package, and a call on the phone, explaining plainly everything is not as it seems, and he was right to feel off about it.

In the package? Spell books, coded of course, ways to learn magic. He was told he could simply hang up the phone, close the package and leave it outside, and he will be left be but... His curiousity got the better of him.

Now he's trying to hide what he knows from everyone, constantly peering over his shoulder, trying not to draw any attention to himself. He's in way to deep to simply be spared about this, surely...

The Vampire AU-

[CW For, Religion, and religious trauma, Blood, brief mentions of child endangerment in the backstory.]

The vampire au is an au I hold very special to my heart because it has so many of my hyperfixations in it. I have a LOT to say about it askdjhs

Briar is a half demon, born to a mortal man and a succubus. While he was out playing, his parents were found out and their home burned, killing the both of them. As a child, they hadn't grown any of their demon features yet, so they were assumed to just be a child the demoness had kidnapped to act as her own, and thus, they were sent to a small church to be raised and taught by the nuns there.

Their childhood was uneventful, the first head Nun of the church being kind, and knowing Briar was of kind heart, helping hide away his demonic features. She was well meaning, and tried her best. She passed away when Briar was a teenager, and the new head nun was much more strict. They never caught her ire, but had a feeling she didn't like them.

One day, the sole survivor of a terrible sickness was brought to the church for healing, a little girl by the name of Tobi. The church, unfortunately, didn't have the resources to care for her, and instead, were planning to make sure the poor girl had a favourable afterlife to go to, and try to poison her in her sleep so she wouldn't suffer.

Briar, objected to this, having been caring for Tobi, and hearing how hopeful the girl was that she was going to get better, and how much she wanted to live. Unfortunately, they were overruled.

So that night, he made up his mind to try and save the girl, to take her and run from the only home he'd known for most his life. He got caught, however, and his demonic nature was revealed, so now instead of willingly fleeing, he was being chased out, the threat of death being what awaited him if he got caught.

The only place he could flee was an old castle that was rumored to be inhabited by vampires, but was known to take in those rejected by humanity.

To make a long story short, the son of the Castle's owner allows them sanctuary, under the condition they work as a healer for the staff. They will be allowed to treat the child in their care, they will be allowed to stay. They accept in a heart beat, feeling as though they have no other choice. So now, they work for the very powerful vampire family, trying to avoid the ire of the patriarch.

High School au-

[CW Abuse, neglect ]

This is a au where Baby (Still Lenora in this AU) is still in Catholic school. This is also directly in the thick of their mistreatment by their twin. This will be tagged appropriately when it comes up, as well as be put under a read more. Probably the best place to get info on Baby's past considering they won't talk about it.

The Blind Oracle of The Over Grown Temple-

[CW, Implied Abuse, religion ]

Blinded at a young age and gifted with foresight and healing, many seek him out. Briar has been in the temple for as long as he can remember, granting visions, and healing the injured, trapped in it's walls during the night, the garden his only taste of the outside.

It's rumored he was blinded by seeing the true form of a god, and granted his visions as an apology. It's said his healing came from his own good nature, that he would even heal the most dangerous of beasts, no question asked, his kind heart soothing them... Or so the rumors go.

He will grant visions to those who ask with a kind smile, his voice soft and melodic...

Though there have been rumors of a Cockatrice in the area, it seen scaling the garden's walls, and the oracle has been seen speaking to someone out of sight. He says he doesn't know anything about the Cockatrice... Surely the oracle isn't hiding such a dangerous beast?

For the wip ask princess diaries 2 AU!

thanks, bud!! this one was a little bit of a rework of a royalty au wip that has literally been sitting in my docs since the end of 2021 askdjh so it's half princess diaries 2, half my original fic premise: basically eddie is in line to ascend the throne but Of Course helena and ramon want him to marry before he does. this leads to eddie being engaged to maddie through an arranged marriage orchestrated by the diaz/buckley parents.

buck, understandably worried about her sister's wellbeing and safety after her last relationship with doug, weasels his way into being a sort of 'chaperone' during maddie and eddie's courtship when maddie goes to stay at the palace and is ofc determined to find something wrong with eddie so maddie doesn't have to go through with the wedding

cue: buck and eddie falling stupidly in love with each other while maddie falls for eddie's personal security guard, chimney 😏

i'm currently a chapter into it but i have the next 3-4 chapters plotted out so i know where it's going! it'll be getting all my attention once my eddie vs romance fic is done but in the meantime here's a little snippet:

“So have you ever been to the palace before?” Chimney asks. He’s fallen into step with Maddie on their walk up the stairs, with Bobby, Hen and Athena bringing up the rear. Maddie’s brother walks alongside Eddie, their shoulders bumping every so often in a way that feels pointed. “Once,” Maddie says behind him. “For a ball a few years ago.” It was probably his twenty-fifth birthday party. His mother had invited just about the entire country in the hopes of finding him a potential suitor. “Must’ve been before I started working here,” Chimney says. “I’m sure I would’ve recognised you otherwise.” And Eddie knows what Chim actually means is that it’s his literal job to know every single person that ever steps foot through the palace doors. It just really sounds like he’s flirting with Eddie’s potential fiancée. Biting the inside of his cheek to conceal a smile, Eddie clears his throat and turns his attention to Maddie’s brother. He’s got the distinct feeling the guy already doesn’t like him. “And you, Buck? Did you attend the ball as well?” Buck doesn’t answer right away and when Eddie glances in his direction he looks like he swallowed a lemon. “Uh no. No, I- wasn’t in attendance.” Okay. So he definitely already doesn’t like Eddie. “Oh. Well, I’m sure you had much more exciting things to do than come to some high society ball-“ “Yep,” Buck interrupts, tone clipped. “I was- …travelling at the time.”
