So this is just a bit off my TxT ff from Wattpad I’m working on. Wondering if I should start txt smutt or ff in here.
Warnings:flirting, txt hybrids, transgender and maybe some cursing.
Different species Different love ….by me
——————————————————————————
Sypnosis: You’re part of TxTs friend group. You’re all in high school. You have a crush on your bff Beomgyu who is a bear. You’re a rabbit and your other bff is Yeonjun, a fox.
——————————————————————————
Well at least I'm not alone. I enjoy Yeonjun-hyung's company. I am very aware about our friendship but gosh he's so pretty. I hope he's ok since he is also very damped from the rain.  Oh my.
I look over to Yeonjun -hyung as we walk toward the coffee shop we both work at so we don't get more soaked. As I look at him I notice his shirt is unbuttoned a bit. I quickly look away as I start feeling my cheeks go red. Why does the rain pouring down his silky skin have to make it so hot?
{Yeonjun} " Chae-chie are you alright? Are you cold?" He asks as he flashes me a sweet smile.
My gosh I wonder where he got that nickname from. It's cute ,too cute it makes me blush more. He looks at me as I don't give any response to his questions.
I'm fully red and, oh did I say that I'm extremely weak when around guys especially when they are this close to me? No? Oh then now you know. Why am I crushing on my bff who is like my second big brother!??
{Yeonjun} "Chae-yi-ul. Hey are you ok? If you're cold you can have my jacket. It's a little damped but it should be fine since your shirt is very see-through." He says as he stops talking while he looks at my chest through the shirt.
Oh gosh he always says my name like that when I don't answer him. Wait- did he just say my shirt is very see-through?!? Oh no. Does that mean he can see my scars??
//Authors Note//
Chaeyiul is a transgender male born female. Therefore by "scars" he means top surgery scars. 😊 just wanted to explain a little.
//End of Authors Note //
{Chaeyiul} "Oh I'm sorry I um. I just am a little flustered right now, I apologize for not answering your questions. I'm ok, sorry you had to see my scars thanks to this dumb shirt."
I apologized while he just stood there confused as he looked at my shirt over again.
{Yeonjun} "Scars? Chae-chie, What do you mean by that? I don't see scars, I can see your nipples but I- oh gosh I'm sorry. I shouldn't be looking and I shouldn't be talking like this. Please don't tell your brother Soobin or else I'm a dead Fox."
♡For context, Yeonjun and Chaeyiul have been friends for a very long time since middle school. The thing is Chaeyiul always looked very masculine even way before coming out as transgender. Therefore Yeonjun never knew about his transition, also because Chaeyiul has never told him due to insecurities and embarrassment. ♡
He looks away covering his face with his shyness. He then bows to me as he apologizes more.
As he bows I grab his arm to stop him from bowing since there was no need.
{Chaeyiul} "Yeonjun-hyung. It's ok. I told you there's no need to treat me formally, we've been friends for so long and it should be the other way around anyways. And also it's ok, I won't tell Soobin-hyung, don't worry. I think you should keep your jacket since you easily get very sick. Let me go in the coffee shop and ask for an umbrella. Stay here hyung."  I say as I smile and try to button his shirt since his chest was very much showing.
I went in the coffee shop and asked if anyone had an umbrella I could borrow.  A nice lady gave me one as I exchanged it with money so she could buy another one. "Thank you ma'am." I said to her.
I could see at the end hall of the coffee shop a few girls who looked like high schoooler's. I noticed they were silently screaming as I walked in the shop. Did a celebrity visit my workplace or did Yeonjun-hyung enter the shop and he is the reason for their fan girling? Yeonjun has always been "Mr.Hot Fox and popular all ladies want him" so I wouldn't be surprised if he was the reason for their screams.
I turn around about to exit the shop as I hear a male voice call my name.
"Chae-chie. Would you like a coffee to warm yourself?" It was Yeonjun offering me a warm drink.
As the girls saw him they start screaming and one stands up to ask him for a photo as the other just looks at me in disgust. Wait? A photo?! Didn't know Jun Noona was that popular.
"Oh my god. Yeonjun oppa can we have a photo together?" One of the girls said with glazed eyes and fuck me eyes. She was a ginger cat. They're known for being very flirty and dramatic.
I watch as their eyes go wide and sparkle. The cat hybrid even starter purring next to Yeonjun. Noona Jun looks at me and awkwardly smiles as he mumbles "sorry" to me.
I shrug it off and say "its ok. I'll wait outside." I put a smile and head out the shop.
——————————————————————————
That’s all for now. Maybe I’ll update soon!😊😊

don’t wanna talk to you - Hyunjin
3k words, makeup sex, reader is mad that Hyunjin is neglecting her and ignores him. Reader is foreigner.
-----------------------------------
"It's like I sacrifice my precious vacation time to come all the way to Seoul and spend time with him but he's always busy with her" I complained to my best friend Juyeon who was over at my house along with Eric after I had called them, frustrated with my oblivious boyfriend.
"So you think he's cheating with you?" Eric asked as Juyeon ran his hands through my hair, my head sat in his lap as the TV played in the background, none of us really caring what was on anyways.
"It's not that. But he knows she likes him. She's always shown it. She tried kissing him at the JYP family event this year knowing he was with me and whenever she's around him she acts all flirty" I explained getting more and more riled up at the thought of Hyunjin hanging out with her.
"But why would he hang out with her then? That makes no sense?" Juyeon quirked an eyebrow as I sighed.
"JYP thought it was a good idea to make them do a collab dance stage so they're working on it. He could have said no though. He's supposed to be on a break but he accepted because he didn't want to let his boss down."
"Ok so if it's just work, why're you so riled up?" Eric asked.
"Because! He goes out to eat with her and they're always texting now ad it's just so fucking annoying" I replied.
"So did you tell him that its bothering you?" Juyeon inquired after listening to my mini rants.
"No. I'm just gonna ignore him. If he doesn't bother spending time with me or considering my feelings then I won't bother acknowledging him" I replied making Juyeon shake his head.
"Stop. I know it sounds petty but he really deserves it" I spoke up before Juyeon could say what was on his mind.
Hyunjin and this girl have known each other for a long time. She's liked him for a long time. She works in the same company as him and always gets to see him. She flirts with him all the time when I'm working and when I come to Seoul during my vacation, he still spends time with her.
"So how long have you been ignoring him for?" Eric grabs some pringles chips and stares at me through the lenses of his golden rimmed glasses, awaiting my response.
"Like 2 days" I answered truthfully. "And do you think he noticed?" Juyeon asks.
"I mean he sent me a message two nights ago and I ignored it, then he sent like three more the next day along with two calls and I ignored them. But I hung out with Chan and Jisung yesterday and texted them so I'm pretty sure he knows" I told them.
"Wow. I don't even know what to say. This is between you two and I'm sure you'll figure it out" Juyeon gave me a small smile that I returned.
"Okay but you hang out with so many guys though? Us and the rest of our members, the rest of stray kids, txt, ab6ix, nct, seventeen, too and so many more. Isn't it a little unfair for you to get mad at him" I lifted my head from Juyeon's lap to look at him after he tried to reason with me.
"All of these guys have never tried to kiss me and respect my relationship. If it were Yeji or Ryujin, I wouldn't worry but it's because it's her. On top of that, I always make time for him and he literally forgot I existed although I came here for him and my friends" I huffed.
After more talking and me basically venting my anger out, we decided to watch a movie before they had to go back to their dorms.
"Love you guys" I hugged them, waving goodnight and closing the door behind me. It was only 8pm but I was pretty sure I wasn't going to go anywhere tonight.
I decided on taking a shower. It was well needed as it gave me time to just think about anything I wanted to underneath the hot and powerful taps of the shower drops.
After showering I put on some body lotion and got dressed in an oversized shirt along with a pair of underwear as it was quite hot this night.
"What the fuck" I stopped scrolling through my phone as I heard the door to my house knock even though I wasn't expecting anyone at this time. It was already about 9pm.
I walked out of my room and towards the door, phone in hand. My house was one story but with several rooms.
As soon as I opened the door I groaned and closed it again. There stood my beautiful boyfriend whom I was very mad at dressed in ripped black jeans and a white button up.
The door was knocked again right as I closed it and I rolled my eyes opening it again.
"I don't want to talk to you" I huffed, trying to look tough despite the 12 cm difference between the two of us, glaring at him even though he towered over me.
"Well we're gonna talk whether you like it or not" He pushed himself inside the house, clearly as frustrated as I was before kicking the door close behind him.
"It's been two days. Two fucking days you're not talking to me and I don't even know why" Hyunjin runs as hand through his hair, staring at me as I stood in front of the front door watching his movements.
"I get that you're mad at me but can you at least tell me what I fucking did" he follows me into the living room as I start walking away from him.
"Why don't you fucking ask Yuna" I glared at him.
"What the fuck are you talking about" He asks, still oblivious to the issue.
"Are you fucking serious Hyunjin. I decide to come to Seoul and spend time with you during my break. And you fucking go on lunch dates with a girl who's clearly into you" I yelled, trying to hold back tears of frustration. I tend to cry when I'm angry or worked up.
"You know we're practicing together for the collab stage and that's it so I don't see the problem" He tells me.
"That's not the problem. The fact that you keep hanging out with her and always texting her, going to eat with her and so on, that's the problem. You haven't spent a minute with me in like a week and you're on a fucking break" I replied.
"I'm only going out to eat with her and hanging with her because even if she likes me, we're still friends and she's my partner. It's not my fault if you're jealous" He shoots back at me.
"Fine then I guess you don't mind me sleeping over at Sunghoon's place" I was purposefully trying to incite a reaction out of him. Sunghoon is a close friend of mine that used to like me.
"The hell you are" He glares at me.
"Who are you to stop me? I'm only hanging with him because even if he liked me, we're still friends. It's not my fault you're jealous" I used his words against him.
"I'm your fucking boyfriend. And I don't understand why you're being like this"
"Because I care about you and you don't act like you care at all about me. Its been a week you're hanging out with her all the time, only texting me as if we weren't in the same country. And you only come to me when I start ignoring you" I wanted to hit him with his own album that I saw resting in my bookshelf.
"You're acting like such a bitch right now. I don't have to spend every fucking minute with you. I have a life you know" He spat.
"You know what you're right. I guess I'm not as important in that life of yours I had thought." I couldn't help but let a tear fall at his words. I turned on my phone that was resting in my hand and quickly unlocked it.
"Babe? Baby are you crying? Fuck I didn't mean to make you cry. Shit I'm sorry" His tone immediately softens as he walks closer to me, cupping my face in his hands and wiping away the tears.
"Are you seriously looking up flights back to the US" He asked incredulously after glancing at my phone screen.
"I mean you clearly don't care if I'm here or not" I huffed, removing his hands from my face.
"Of course I care, so much. And I'm sorry I made it seem like I didn't. You know this project is important for me. Solo projects like these give more attention to the group. And I know you don't like her but trust me, nothing will happen." He began apologizing.
"It's not about trust Hyunjin, it's the fact that you don't even remember I exist and spend all your time with her" I huffed.
"I'm sorr-" "I mean what girlfriend wouldn't be fucking jealous if their boyfriend decided to spend every minute with a girl who likes him" I cut him off.
"Oh so you're jealous huh" He smirked as I glared at him.
"That's besides the point. You really fucking pissed me off" I rolled my eyes
"Okay I'm sorry baby. Ok? I promise tonight and all day tomorrow I'm all yours" He gave me a small peck and this time I didn't reject his actions.
"And you know I might've been spending time with her but it's you I'm always thinking about" he wrapped his arm around my waist, resting his forehead on mine, smiling.
"Cuz you're fucking mine, not hers" I replied, kissing him once again, my hands unconsciously moving to wrap themselves around his neck and pulling him slightly downwards so I didn't have to go on my tippy toes to reach his lips.
"Of course, I'm yours. I'll always be just yours" He whispered, his hands holding onto my waist, pulling me closer, closing the distance so there was not a millimeter of space between our two bodies.
His pink, plump, soft and addictive lips moved against mine and I almost forgot why I was mad at him to begin with. I smile into the kiss as I felt him tug at my bottom lip and smiled even wider when his tongue entered my mouth.
He moved his tongue in sync with my own as his hands travelled down, cupping my ass, rubbing on them and using them to bring me closer to him even if there was no distance between us.
"Fuck baby, jump" He pulled away as I looked at him with a smirk, my arms still hanging onto his neck, jumping slightly so he caught my thighs and wrapped them around his waist. Having a dancer and performer boyfriend came in really handy as he could easy carry me like this with no problem.
I began leaving small kisses and sucking on his neck as he carried me to my room. He obviously knew the way as he was accustomed to the house more than anyone else.
With no words said he used his back to close the door before laying me on the queen sized bed, giving me a small smile whole kicking off his shoes.
"You're so fucking beautiful" He easily slid off his shirt, moving between my legs and lowering his body to plant kisses on my neck.
His fingers trailed on my bare thighs as I realized my shirt definitely rose up so he had a perfect view of everything the underwear wasn't covering.
One of his hands slid under my oversized shirts, cupping a breast and rubbing on it while the other lazily rested at my waist as he continued to suck dark purple marks on my dark skin.
My legs wrapped around his torso, pulling him closer causing him to rut against me making both of us to let out different noises but for the same pleasurable reason.
I lifted my back a little and he immediately understood what I meant as his hands went to the hem of my shirt and in a swift action, he pulled it off, throwing it to the ground next to us.
He groaned, staring at my bare breasts, his lips immediately attaching to one as if it were a magnet. He teasingly held my nipple between his teeth ever so delicately making me whine before he placed his soft lips around the bud and began sucking on it, grinding his prominent bulge against my underwear covered core.
He tried to pull away and my hands instinctively went to the back of his head, keeping him in place as if to not lose the pleasure. I heard him chuckled lightly before slowly lifting his head, staring at me, my nipple still in his mouth, before he released it with a loud pop, moving to the next one.
He began sucking on the breast, already leaving dark purple marks before sucking on the dark and hard nipple that was patiently waiting for his mouth.
"Mm please" I didn't actually know what I was begging for but I was in too much pleasure not only from his lips but from the way his hips moved on me.
He let go of the nipple after a while, blowing onto it before standing up straight, unbuttoning his jeans ever so slowly. It's almost like he wanted to tease me however he was only making himself suffer by imprisoning his erection in those tight clothes for a while longer.
His lip stuck out of his mouth as his brows furrowed in concentration as he removed his jeans and underwear at the same time. He was quite impressive, not only blessed with good looks.
"You're soaked and we barely even started" He smirked, running a finger along my covered slit making me let out a small whine that didn't go by unnoticed by him.
He began chuckling before grabbing the hem of my white underwear and pulling them down, easily.
"As good as you look right now I really need you" He was referring to all the foreplay he wanted to skip and I was completely fine with that.
"You're still here tomorrow" I gave him a small smirk before sitting up, wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him back onto the bed with me, engaging a passionate kiss. I took the lead as Hyunjin focused on positioning himself.
"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck" I moaned out as the tip of his length slowly entered, already stretching my walls and he moved his head to rest at the crook of my neck.
"So fucking tight. Fuck" He mumbled, slowly pushing the rest of himself in until he was buried deep inside.
He placed both his hands on either side of my body and slowly began moving. His thrusts were slow and precise and had the both of us cursing and breathing heavily.
I stared at his sweat covered forehead with strands of hairs sticking to it all the way to his glorious lips that were swollen from the kissing to his abs that I could drool over for days.
"HO- FUCK" I might've reacted a tad bit too loudly as he hit a certain area that made the pool of heat in my stomach bubble and a certain knot form.
"You're so fucking hot. Look at you. Under me. So hot. You're gonna make me cum" He grabbed one of my thighs and moved my legs up to his shoulder, resting it there to give him better access.
He continued for a while before I stopped him and flipped us around.
I kissed all over his neck, sucking on a few areas on his chest, shoulders and collarbones and of course the nipples before I positioned myself.
I hovered over his waist, carefully grabbing his length and positioning it at my entrance before sliding on to him.
I began moving slowly as he watched me, jaw slightly parted, his eyes darting from my face to my breasts to his cock being buried deep inside of me.
"Mmm fuck babe c-can you speed up" I began moving faster at his words and he began matching ever bounce I made with a thrust upwards.
"Yeah who fucks you like this huh?" "Only you baby- fuckkk" I was pretty sure the neighbors could hear us considering how loud we were being.
"B-babe I'm coming" his voice for some reason dropped and came out a bit broken as he reached his high.
I felt his cock twitching inside of me and like he predicted, a few seconds later, he released, painting my inner walls white as I rode him until he was finished.
"Keep- keep going you didn't come yet" He looked out of breath when he grabbed my waist as I tried to slide off of him.
"It's fine you don't have too, it was great for me as well so don't worry" I reassured him but he shook his head no.
He gave weak thrusts and I smiled at his attempts to make me feel good as I began moving again, slowly.
It didn't take much time or effort after that for me to come and to get off of him roll over onto the other side of the bed
"I bet Yuna can't give it to you like that" I finally let out after recollecting my breathing.
"Would you let that go already" He chuckled, playfully rolling his eyes before grabbing me and pulling me closer to him.
"I love you. Really. I love you so fucking much. And I might not always show it but I do. And nobody could ever compare to you babe" He kissed my forehead as I tried to suppress the huge grin making way on my face.
"I love you more Hyunjin" I breathed out, moving closer to him as his grip around me tightened.

TXT: where the fuck are you guys it's already quarter past
After a few minutes, you got a ding.
M: idia doenst want t leave something about a person see you aftr he needs freind
Oh goddammit, it's so fucking hard to get him out and about. At least Mal was with him.
You looked to Grim at your feet. "Looks like it's just us, buddy."
~*~*~*~
It was just you and Grim browsing through the dollar store, when a boy in a ratty shop apron came up to you. "Ma'am?"
You turned to him, and he coughed. "Uh, Miss. You're not supposed to have pets in the store."
Grim bristled at him. "I'm not a pet!"
Poor kid, he looked so startled. And you decided to make it worse, because yanno, why not. "How dare you refer to my son as a pet! Does he look like a pet to you?"
He looked between your face and Grim's, confusion growing. "Wh-"
"I know the resemblance isn't the strongest, but honestly! How could you say such mean things about him!"
Grim, bless him, actually caught on and decided to play along for the chaos of it. "Why are you being so mean to me? My mom works hard to keep me happy! She said I could pick out a toy today!"
The confusion had turned to anger. "That's not your kid! You're too young and he's an animal!"
Grim looked up at you, mock tears in his eyes. "I'm your kid, right? I'm not adopted like the boys at school say?" He started sniffling. "I'm not adopted, right?"
You clapped your hands over Grim's ears and glared at the now horrified shopboy. "Look what you've done! I hadn't told him yet!"
He just fled in horror, and it was all you could do to keep from laughing.
~*~*~*~
The village on the island wasn't the worst appointed. Being equidistant between two prestigious magic schools, it had a few places worth going, and after hitting up your personal favourite, you went to a small park, settled down on a bench, and started unwrapping your prizes.
You have a love for gashapon machines that bordered on a serious problem. In your biweekly trips to buy snacks and supplies to stock up your miserable, beautiful dorm, you easily fed 3000 madol (which you think was about thirty-five dollars or so at home, but couldn't be sure) into the long rows of machines in the drug store, coming out with tiny keychains, figures, and various useless but wonderful little totchkes that you kept lined up in rows in your bedroom. The joys of tiny presents! And the containers were useful too; for a creature who heavily insisted he wasn't a cat, Grim lost his shit like one every time your rolled a ball with a bell inside across the floor.
You were marveling over a tiny, perfectly realistic jellyfish on a phone strap as someone sat down heavily beside you. "Is that," they pointed to Grim poking his way around the cattails by an ornamental pond, "yours?"
"... Yes?" You turned to examine your seatmate. Charmingly strange looking, they sat impeccably robed in forest green velvet and squinted at you from behind perfectly round sunglasses. Flat-faced and thin-lipped, they reminded you of a toad, with their roundness and severe expression.
"Ah, then you are the one I am looking for. You're the pet of the prince."
"I'm a friend of his. Is that a problem?" You decided to keep opening your prizes, and pulled out a heavy ball from the bottom of your bag.
"His Highness does not have human friends."
"And yet, I am." This one, unwrapped, was the chase in the set: a tiny cauldron the size of a thimble that seemed to be actual cast iron. The chill of it was pleasant in your hand, and instead of returning it to your bag, you left it in your lap.
This presumptive stranger leaned in. "You're a diversion. A distraction from what he should be learning. Instead he plays with mortals and lets them forget their place."
"If it was so important that he didn't play with mortals, then why was he allowed to attend here?" You got a cheap set of rings on a goldtone chain in this one. Boo. You'd wanted the miniature necklace of the set for your doll. "He's very happy with the company of us all."
"Too happy. He forgets his place." The toady eyed the glittering paste gems before looking away. "Above you. Instead he crawls into your lap and serves you like a dog."
You froze. "Now, where did you get that idea?"
"We have sources." They leaned in further, smiling. A barely perceptible line of triangular teeth, sparsely placed and translucent in tone. "Foul things happen to the unwanted lovers of heirs, don't you know?"
"I am a wanted friend."
"You're a parasite who should flee."
You realized something, and turned to face your strange benchmate. "Why are you threatened by me?"
They scoffed. "Why would we be threatened by you?"
"If you weren't," you said, dropping your voice as your leaned in, "then you wouldn't be here trying to put the fear into me." They leaned back, glasses slipping off their nose. The eyes in their face were exquisite, shining gold and black speckles with a ring of gold around an oval pupil. You could help but laugh. "Pretty eyes. You really are a toad. Who sent you? The Thorn Witch? Can't be, I'm not worth her time and if I was, she'd've sent a fucking letter."
"We're a concerned party, preventing our future king from making the mistake of dealing with filth."
Well, that one pissed you off. You grabbed their wrist, feeling bumps and warts on their skin through the fabric, and pressed the tiny cauldron to the back on their hand as they started screeching.
"You," you looked them dead in their impossibly lovely eyes, "You go back where you came from, tell them I'm not a threat to whatever stupid bullshit they're worried about, and never bother us again. Or I will make you swallow this and you'll beg the precious prince you're so damned worried about to burn you alive to stop the pain."
You'd never seen anyone run so fast in your life when you let them go.
"Hey, Grim! We gotta go."
~*~*~*~
TXT: MAL SOMEONE SENT ME A TOADY SAYING I CAN'T BE AROUND YOU ANYMORE
TXT: MIGHTA BEEN YOUR GMA BUT I DON'T THINK SO
~*~*~*~
"I'm gonna kill that fucker."
"Killing them might start an international incident. If one hasn't happened already. You burnt them with iron, Yuu."
"I should have done worse! Whoever the fuck they were, that's two friends they've tried to threaten to stay away from you! That we know of!"
It turns out that the mystery toady had been the person to scare the piss out of Idia the night before. Not that they'd gotten far into their leave-the-prince-alone spiel, Idia had simply kicked them square in the stomach and fled, assuming another kidnapping attempt.
"It wouldn't have been my grandmother. In the last letter I got from her, she said it was very nice that I was making friends. She said to keep making them, even."
"She'd probably care if she knew you were sleeping with said friends." Idia was curled into the corner of his bed, and from the looks of it hadn't slept since his own encounter.
"No she wouldn't."
"You sure about that?"
You'd said that that was only going to happen once. Everyone agreed. But when all three of you settled in to play a game or watch a movie, hands moved and bodies flushed and you all seemed to find yourself tangled and gasping. And it didn't seem to require all three of you - you no longer had the strength to say no to Mal's obvious advances, and you'd walked in on your boys more than once. At least you were still friends? Really, really close friends?
"She wouldn't."
"Could they be worried about heirs?" That seemed logical. Even if no accidents were happening, they might not know that.
"That's not possible."
You raised an eyebrow. Everything worked right, and you all knew it.
Mal looked back at you. "Yuu, I hatched from an egg. I could have you both five times a day for a decade and all there would be to show for it is you couldn't walk. I cannot have children with either of you without magical intervention."
Idia made a truly impressive death rattle before mumbling something about the end of his bloodline, and you just nodded. "Makes sense."
"It's quite interesting, really, it requires numerous spells and potions, that if not kept up on, the babe will-" Malleus placed his hands together, back to back, and mimed the motion of tearing something open.
You flinched. "That's awful, goddamn."
"I have a direct ancestor who took a great deal of human women as breeding stock and simply let them be eaten from the inside out. That's what started one of the earlier human/faerie wars."
"... Wow."
"I am not proud of her."
"Can we please talk about anything else?" Idia looked ready to be sick. "I don't want to think about any of this."
"Sure, let's grab one of your doujins."
~*~*~*~
"So you're already engaged?"
"As soon as it was clear I would survive to adulthood, yes. Idia, what is this series?"
"Nyan Neko Sugar Girls. It's not that great storywise, but it has great gags." He reached over and grabbed the next one in his pile. "It's not that unusual. My mother wanted Ortho to marry my cousin Alecto when they grew up, before..."
"Before he made a lifestyle change?" That seemed the politest way to put it.
"Before she went to the criminal ward."
You shut your book with a soft thump. "What?"
"I remember the trial." Mal sighed. "Strychnine in the sugar bowl at Sunday dinner. I made sure to get the newspapers sent to the palace."
"Mother was heartbroken over it, until she realized that the wealth of that entire Shroud branch defaulted back to us." Idia shrugged. "It's sad. She was just eleven. I still send her emails."
"Idia."
"Mm?"
"Why the fuck would an eleven year old poison someone?"
"My uncle said she couldn't get a puppy until her grades went up."
"What the fuck." You'd lie down if you weren't already doing so.
"It's the curse." He sighed. "We thought she might've been from an affair? But that proved it."
"My dearest Shroud, you can't guarantee it was from the curse." Malleus turned a page. "It might have been trauma from her mother's death."
You could see more bad history incoming. "Oh no."
"Alecto was from Uncle Jo's first marriage, to my dad's cousin Alita. She had a sister, but when her mother drowned herself, she only took-"
"Is this normal for your family? Or is that just some exceptional bad luck?"
He leaned in, lamplight eyes flashing. "Out of all the Shrouds of my generation that are still capable of inheriting, I'm the most mentally sound."
Both you and Mal had to stop and really consider the implications of that.
"So, Mal. Yours isn't that closely related?"
"Fifth cousins at most when they're finally born."
You sat up. "What?"
"I'm supposed to marry the third grandchild of the Hollyoak Baron. They're a well-respected family, and of snake fae descent so little aid will be needed for conception. His eldest child is in..." He had to think about what words to use. " I believe the term is 'middle school'?"
"They really planned it that far ahead?"
Mal shrugged, the movement rolling down his whole body. "I cannot complain. It gives me a very long time to learn how to be a husband before I have to be one."
"But what if you don't like them?"
"Marriage is chiefly a contract to produce heirs. I'll learn to like them, and ideally love them."
"And if you don't?"
"I'll still treat them as kindly as I can."
"And I suppose you'd take a lover."
"Maybe. They can too, as long as all the children are mine. For legal reasons," he added.
Idia, snapping out of his thoughts, tapped Mal's shoulder. "Does the Hollyoak Baron have any friends who are toad faeries?"
It was Mal's turn to sit up. "That... He could be worried that if I have favourites at school, I'll resent my betrothed for not being either of you. Or that I would attempt to break it off entirely."
"That still doesn't tell us how he found out about..." You gestured around the room.
Idia rolled his eyes. "All that would have to happen is any one student from the Valley of Thorns writing a letter home."
"But -"
"Malleus, you're not shy in your affections. At all."
"Yes I am," he bristled.
~*~*~*~
"Mal?"
"Mmph?"
"You have to put me down. I have class."
He made a slightly different mmph and shook his head.
You tried to pat his head, but your arms were securely pinned to your sides. "I know they're fantastic, but you have to stop."
He still refused to remove his face from your chest, making a noise that could have been purring if it cane from anyone who was a proper mammal.
"Mal, we're blocking traffic."
He still wasn't putting you down, instead swaying slightly in place.
A familiar long-fingered hand with dark nails reached from behind you and tugged at Mal's lapel. "Malleus, please stop, it's ten AM and everyone is staring."
Mal finally put you down - only to switch targets, wrapping his arms around Idia's waist and pulling him flush, fixing him with such a look of besotted fondness that you immediately felt like you were intruding.
"You look beautiful today."
Idia immediately burst into a ball of pink flame.
~*~*~*~
"... Perhaps I am a bit obvious."
Idia stared up at his ceiling. "You'd be at home in my otome games."
You chimed in. "What would be obvious, in your mind?"
"Very easy. I finish the paperwork declaring you Lord and Lady of the Bedchamber and have you officially ensconced as Court of Thorns royalty, ensuring you're both taken care of for the rest of your days."
"... Finish?"
"It seemed the easiest thing to do if either of you chose to visit my homeland."
You swatted his leg. "And you didn't think to ask us first?"
Mal was starting to clue in that he had once again overreached himself. "... Surprise?"
"I'm okay with it."
You glared over at Idia. "That's not the point."
"Look, if I ever get disinherited, I have a place to go. He won't make me go outside if I don't want to. I'll bring Ortho. It'll be great."
"They don't even have dial-up over there, Idia. Lilia told me he had to get all this stuff installed to play his MMOs."
Idia pointed at Mal, easy smile turned to outrage. "How dare you try and trap me!"
It honestly seemed like Mal and Idia had switched expressions, the look of worry on his face so strange. "It's a protective measure! If you're titled, people will get in trouble if they try and remove you!"
"That's still... wait." The gears were turning in your head. "If you finish that paperwork, whoever sent Mixter Toad is going to get in so much more trouble."
Everyone went silent as they considered this.
"... As soon as I get the official permission from my grandmother. She won't like it very much, but if I explain..."
Idia turned to Mal. "You were going to make your human fucktoys official members of the Court of Thorns without telling your grandmother, the queen. Who has a notable and often justified dislike of humans."
"No?"
"Mal."
"I simply prepared ahead."
"Mal."
"I - "
"Malleus." You leaned over and kissed his cheek. "You're so goddamned stupid. Love you."
He didn't say it back with words, but you got the message loud and clear.

choi yeonjun
Tumblr media
Yeonjun hadn’t been texting you much all day long. You knew he had a busy schedule today, preparing for their upcoming album, so this wasn’t anything out of the usual, but it still worried you. You kept wondering if he was eating and drinking well, if he could rest at least for a few minutes or if he was being careful when practicing their new dances, so that he wouldn’t hurt himself.
His band members often teased that you acted more like a mother than a girlfriend, but how can you not, when your boyfriend was working excessively for seven days a week straight? Everyone would be worried, right?
That’s what you told yourself when you arrived at the BigHit building with a bag of food in your hands. You didn’t do this often, because you didn’t want anyone to think you were babying him, but you were just going to drop this off and then leave again.
And thankfully, when you carefully pushed open the doors to the dance practice room, your boyfriend was in there stretching on his own.
“(Y/N)?” his eyes widened, but then he smiled, happy about the surprise visit, “What are you doing here?”
“I just wanted to give you this,” you handed him the bag and looked around the room while he rummaged through it, “Why are you alone?”
“The others needed a little more time so I went on ahead. They should be here soon, though.”
“Good. Eat up, I didn’t bring enough for all of them to eat,” you gently cupped his face and kissed him softly, “I’ll get going.”
He already grabbed a piece of Kimbap and pushed it into his mouth, giving you a thumbs up when you turned back around, muttering an: “Thank you, I love you,” which made you leave with a smile.
choi soobin

“What are you doing?” your boyfriend’s eyebrows furrowed as you walked into your bedroom with a bottle of lotion.
“Turn around,” he hesitated for a second, until you added with a chuckle, “Don’t worry. I’m not wearing a strap-on or anything. I just felt like you needed a massage today. You’ve been complaining about your back all day long.”
That made him let out a sigh of relief and them smile softly, before Soobin quickly took off his shirt and laid down on his stomach, turning up the volume of the YouTube video he was watching to get the full relaxation experience.
The stress had consumed him these last couple of days, so he needed a resting day at your apartment. But he continuously underestimated just how relaxed he always left in the morning, because you always did stuff like this. When he walked in through your front door, he could leave his busy life behind for a few hours and just be himself with you. He could be normal.
That feeling of peace was something he never wanted to lose ever again. And he vowed to himself that he wouldn’t.
choi beomgyu

“You know, I really didn’t expect any of this when I told you that I was feeling stressed,” your boyfriend opened up his arm and waited for you to cuddle against him, pulling you close when you did.
“I know how hard comeback time is for you. If I can give you just a few hours of peace and quiet, then my mission is accomplished.”
He wished he could spend more time with you these days, but a few hours, like you said, is all he could squeeze into his schedule. Yet, you two always made the most out of it.
Right now, for example, you were cuddling on the couch with a bowl of popcorn in Beomgyu’s lap and one of his favourite movies running on your TV screen after having had one of his favourite meals for dinner.
He’d have to leave after the movie, since he had to get up extremely early the next morning to go to a music show and if it were up to his managers, they’d have him spend even those few hours that he was at your place at his own, just to make sure his mind was where it was supposed to be.
But they didn’t realise that being here with you helped him focus the most the next day. If he didn’t get at least a few hours with his girlfriend, in which he could do nothing but relax, it would be hard for him to concentrate properly and perform to his best possible abilities.
“Thank you,” he whispered against the top of your head sometime during the movie, “Thank you for always doing this when I need it.”
You didn’t reply, just wrapped your arms tighter around his middle.
kang taehyun
Tumblr media
Everyone knew that Taehyun was a big fan of Jeongguk. That is how you and him actually met each other. You were Jeongguk’s friend before you were Taehyun’s, which eventually turned into you becoming his girlfriend. And even though they were in the same company, with BTS’ schedule, it wasn’t always easy for them to hang out, much to Taehyun’s despise.
Today, however, you had convinced Jeongguk to help your boyfriend with one of TXT’s new dances that he was struggling with. Why, you might ask? Because Jeongguk and Jimin were actually the one that came up with the choreography.
“Why are you here again?” Jeongguk asked as you two walked into the practice room, your boyfriend arriving in a few minutes.
“He’s been stressed about this for weeks now. I just want to make sure he’s okay.”
“I can do that too, you know? I’m not a monster,” he laughed.
“That’s not what I mean. Sometimes I feel like me being here and encouraging him is helping him. I’m not sure whether it helps him relax or focus more or maybe try to do better, maybe it’s even all of those things, but I just feel like it helps. So I want to be there for him when I can.”
Jeongguk smiled, even brighter when your boyfriend entered and beamed when he saw you, “Yeah, yeah, your girlfriend is the best. Let’s get to work.”

“You need a break, you know?” you said as you walked up to the stage, draping your coat over a seat.
“Just a few more minutes.”
You let out a heavy sigh and crossed your arms in front of your chest, “You always say that and you keep practicing until your legs basically give in. Is that the condition that you want to perform in tomorrow? Shouldn’t you rest now to be in the best shape tomorrow?”
At that, your boyfriend stopped for a second, his breathing heavy as he looked at you, “Why are you here anyways? We agreed we’d see each other on the weekend, right?”
“Right. I only came here to pick you up and drive you home, make sure you eat and then leave again. Like the good girlfriend that I am,” you batted your eyelashes in an overly sweet motion, which made him let out a snort.
But it helped.
He wiped the sweat off of his forehead, then grabbed his bag and water bottle, before jumping off the stage and giving you a kiss on the cheek, “Let’s go then, boss.”

a/n: have I gone insane and made two ocs at once? kind of. actually, I haven’t made up my mind about actually going forward with them yet but I’ve had this idea for about two months and my mind couldn’t rest unless I actually wrote it down. and since I already had it typed out, I might as well share it right? (awkwardly laughs and runs away).
also disclaimer, this is 100% focused on the ocs and not on their groups, you may be asking why since I never really cared this much about backstory before... I honestly don’t know, my brain thought of it like that and that’s how this turned out.

2011
Minkyung watched the teacher leave the room from the corner of the classroom and began packing up her things as the girls around her whispered between themselves. She didn’t blame them for talking, considering this was the first time in months she had made it through the first period without her mother showing up.
Actually, some days she wouldn’t even go to school due to her day packed with auditions and art-centered classes. But this time she had, and just for a moment, she allowed herself to think she would have a normal day. Until the teacher had to answer a knock.
Walking back inside, the middle-aged woman speared a pitied glance at the girl and nodded once she excused herself. The official routine of letting her know her mother had arrived was long gone after the fifth consecutive time it had happened.
Going outside as fast as she could, so she wouldn’t hear anyone talking about her. Minkyung met her mother near the school entrance.
“Let’s go, we can’t be late” The woman rushed her, picking up her backpack and throwing on the backseat before circling her car and sitting in the driver’s spot. She barely waited for her daughter to buckle up before driving away from the parking lot. Wheels scratching the pavement as she did so.
“What is it this time?” She asked with half the excitement of her mother, leaning her head on the window as she watched the school becoming small in the rearview mirror.
“Acting gig. You got this in the bag” The older woman spoke cheerfully and Minkyung hummed. Once they stopped at a red light, her mother turned to her and brushed her a strand of hair behind her ear “Hey. I know you’re growing tired but I think this one might be it. Just blow them away with your talent, alright baby?”
“Alright, mama”

Minji sat at the curb as she watched her friend jumping into the backseat of her parent’s car.
“Are you sure you don’t want a ride sweetie?” The friends’ mother asked her leaning out of the window “Eliza was telling me you usually wait quite a while, I can talk to you mother and arrange a carpooling system with her”
“No, it’s fine Ms.Smith” Minji hugged her lunch box and smiled sweetly, her small feet tapping the ground in a rhythm she had made up “Mom should be arriving soon, I don’t want her to worry if I’m not here”
“Well okay, be sure to mention that to her so next time you don’t have to wait” The blond woman smiled politely before driving off.
Minji waved at them and stared at the empty sidewalk in front of the school. Checking her pink watch for the fifth time, she noticed she only had to wait five more minutes before she gave up on waiting and walked home.
The girl knew there wasn’t a big chance of her mother remembering she had a younger daughter to pick up, but still, she allowed herself to wait for an hour every day. Just in case she would show up.
After the five minutes were up, the 10 year old grabbed her stuff and began her usual walk home. The neighborhood wasn’t too dangerous and she would only have to walk six blocks to arrive, but still, it felt too cruel for the teacher to see it happening constantly.
The woman had walked half of her way to get to the girl when she saw a tall man approaching, she sighed relieved as Minji gasped surprised.
“Dad” She jumped on the man’s arms and he laughed, waving at the teacher before picking her lunch box that had fallen on the ground.
“I came home from work earlier today, I figured you’d want some company on your walk home” He patted her on the head and the girl smiled brightly “I’m sorry for not being able to do this every day”
“It’s fine. Come, I’ll show you the pet store I walk by. Oh, and there’s this old lady resting on her porch every day, she always gives me a good afternoon” Minji smiled pulling him by the hand as they made their way back.

Minkyung quietly stood in the hallway as she heard her parents discussing. Earlier that day, her mother got an email confirming her acceptance into a trainee program in Korea, the multiple years of singing lessons and learning various instruments had finally given a bigger result than the acting route had.
The girl had never seen her mother more excited than after getting the news, but since she told her father about it they had been locked in the kitchen arguing about the changes this opportunity brought to the family.
“I don’t know about this, it sounds pretty expensive” Mr. Chung sighed walking back and forth.
“It’s an opportunity for our daughter to finally become someone. She worked so hard for it, we don’t know when the next one might come. This is her chance”
“She is someone already. She’s our daughter, a sister, and a student. What will happen with her studies after she’s gone?”
“She can keep them overseas, she’s homeschooled after all”
“Only because she couldn’t keep up with school and your obsession for making the girl famous”
“She wants this just as much as I do”
“What’s going on?” Minji showed up out of nowhere startling her sister, who whispered for her to keep quiet and listen.
“They’re discussing moving to Korea” Mikyung waved her off and returned to listen, but the younger slapped her arm and frowned. “Ouch, stop that dumbass”
“Why would we move to Korea?”
“I passed an audition there. Mom is convincing dad to accept it”
“No, absolutely not” Minji shook her head, walking determined downstairs only to be stopped by the older “Let me go. I’m not moving because of you”
“Minji don’t, let them discuss this, mom almost has him”
“I’m not moving. I don’t care what you want. Different from you I have friends here, I have a life. I’m not going because of you”
“Hey, stop that” Their father opened the kitchen door to stop the two arguing girls.
“No, I’m not stopping. You’ve always given Minkyung the fancy tutors and expensive courses without thinking twice. She can go on her own, I don’t want to leave our home”
“We are a family, if one of us is going, the rest is too” Her mom spoke up pointing a finger at her “And this might be your home, but Seoul is your dad’s and mine. We’d be going back to our family. No more trips during holidays and all of that. Think about it, it would benefit us all”
“No, it wouldn’t. Dad would have to leave work, and I have school and my friends. We built a life here” Minji cried out looking between the two of them. In the back, her sister leaned on the wall and watched them ultimately deciding her future.
“And you’ll build a new one in Korea too. Think about all the work your sister has done for us to have this chance”
“This is her chance. Not ours”
“Minkyung” The man spoke, shutting the two up and getting the girl’s attention. “Do you honestly want this? We would be investing a lot once you sign with them”
“Yes, I’m sure of it” She answered, it was honest. But considering that was the only thing she had worked for her entire life, there was no way it wouldn’t have been.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to go in there with you?” Minkyung’s mom asked her again as they made it in front of the building.
“Yes, mom” The girl rolled her eyes fixing the big duffel bag under her arm “Most people leave their families for this. I don’t want to brag that mine follows me no matter where I go”
“They deserve to know we support you” The woman cupped her face in adoration and she laughed.
“It isn’t a matter of support, some people just can't afford to move around”
“Okay, but I’ll come by your accommodations later to bring the rest of your stuff and you’ll tell me everything then”
“Fine. Oh, and mom. Can you give Minji my guitar, she might have a better use for it than leaving it untouched”
“You don’t want to have at least one of your instruments with you?” The woman frowned, reluctant in passing by her daughter’s belongings to the younger.
“I’m sure they’ll have a bunch I can practice on” The girl shrugged moving around on her feet.
“If you say so. Don’t forget not to let the boys mess with you okay. And don’t stress if you don’t get along, remember this is only one phase for you to become the star you were born to be”
“Uh, okay. I have to go” Minkyung gave her a hug and walked inside the building, blushing furiously as her mother screamed good luck to her.
Walking to where a receptionist was, she noticed a boy, a little older than her, getting some credentials with her. Standing behind him, she waited until the woman asked for her name.
“Chung Minkyung” The girl said and she nodded.
“Right, the girl from Australia. I have your stuff here too”  The woman said and the boy, who was puzzly looking through his papers, looked up at the mention of the Country and quickly stared at her, wondering if he should introduce himself or wait a little more “You’re both going the same way, press two in the elevator down the hallway and go to the room on the far left”
Thanking her, Minkyung picked up her things and nodded for the boy, giving him a tight-lipped smile as they walked together.
“I’m sorry, I think I overheard you’re from Australia. I’m from Canada, and my Korean is a little rusty. Do you speak English?” He smiled embarrassed and the girl nodded.
“Yeah, no problem. Mine would be too, but my mom made me take lessons as a child because speaking both languages would be good for the resume” She told him as they entered the elevator “A little TMI, I’m sorry. I’m bad at making friends”
“It’s fine” He laughed nervously and looked around before hitting him that he hadn’t introduced himself “I’m Jacob, sorry for not saying my name”
“I’m Minkyung but I guess you can call me Mae if you want to” She smiled generously at him and he nodded. The elevator’s doors opened up for them to step out.
Walking inside the room they were told, several heads turned around to stare at them and a buzzing boy came straight to greet them.
“Hi, nice to meet you, I’m Youngjae. Where are you guys from?”
“Uh- My name is Jacob, I’m from Canada”
“Oh, you came from the international auditions, right? In that case you can call me Eric, I used to live in LA” Eric smiled and looked expectantly at the girl.
“I’m Mae, I came from Australia” She smiled nervously and he gasped.
“Oh wow, we’re all from different places”
“Yeah um could you show us around, I’m kind of lost right now” Mae said and Jacob nodded from her side making Eric laugh.
“It’s my first day too actually” He said making both their eyes widen “But everyone seems nice, let’s introduce you to them and they’ll help us figure things out”
“How are you so comfortable?” The girl asked on a whim and cleaned her throat embarrassed after realizing what she had done “Sorry, I’m sorry. I- I suck at meeting new people”
“It’s fine” Eric laughed, intertwining his arm with hers “We’ll get along, all of us. Let’s talk to the others because they’ve been staring for a while”

“Your sister is debuting today?” One of Minji’s friends, Yoojung, gasped on her left as they stood in the food court at the mall. The three of them wearing their school uniforms while deciding what to eat.
“Yeah, and my mom is a mixture of excitement and annoyance at home, that’s why I’ll stay in this place until her and dad leave for the stage”
“Annoyance?” Jisoo, her other friend asked while looking at the ice cream store “Let’s go to the parlour”
“Sure. And yes, her original plan was for Minkyung, I guess Mae now, to go solo after a while. But last month she came home exclusively to tell her she wasn’t going to leave her group” The girl said nonchalantly as if it were old news for her.
“Wow, that’s so cool” Jisoo gasped, making Minji roll her eyes.
“Why are you not going to the debut showcase?” Yoojung asked again, making her shrug.
“We were never that close, since she became a trainee we haven't talked at all. I’m sure she won’t miss me that much”
“Still, you would meet a bunch of good looking idols, I’d give everything to be there” Jisoo said in a dreamy tone and both of the girls laughed at her expression.
The three of them were slowly walking to get their sweets when a couple stopped them in the middle of the aisle, quickly handing a card to each of them and introducing themselves as scouts from an idol company.
“We’re holding auditions tomorrow and it would be lovely if you could attend, I’ll make sure to remember each of your faces” The lady smiled politely, her gaze sticking a little more on Minji than on the other girls.
They gave some more information to them and gave a quick goodbye. Looking at the card and back at the girls, Minji tried to sound as casual as possible while asking if they would show up for the process.
“Nah” Yoojung said making Jisoo nod along “But you should, they seemed more interested in you than us”
Humming along, Minji stuck the piece of paper on her pocket in the promises of deciding that night.

“Hey, what are you doing?” Mae asked after coming out of her room and seeing Kevin, Changmin, and Haknyeon huddled up around a computer.
“A new group just debuted” Kevin mumbled, scrolling down what seemed to be an article and she snorted.
“So what, rookie groups show up literally every day” She rolled her eyes standing behind them and reading some of the words flying by “Tomorrow X Together, isn’t that Bighit’s new group? Wait, why are they talking about us there?”
“Because there’s a rumor that one of the members is your sister” Haknyeon said and as if on clue Kevin stopped in a picture of Minji.
Feeling like time had frozen, Mae widened her eyes and gasped, pulling Kevin away and scrolling down herself to check if she wasn’t having a fever dream.
“You never said you had a sister” Q noticed casually as she freaked out in front of the computer.
“She never came to visit us either” Kevin complained for a second and then gasped “Wait, was she missing? Did you just find your missing sister?”
As the boys began sharing conspiracy theories as to why they didn’t know about the existence of Minji, Mae turned to them with a shocked expression and waited until they fell silent to quietly mumble
“That little devil never told me she wanted to become an idol”

Sleep has always been an escape for you, especially from reality.
Everybody has those days, feeling lost and depressed no matter what happened -- could be out of nowhere, could be from exhaustion -- but today? Today is just too much, and you don’t know why. You feel heavy, drained both emotionally and physically, and want only to sleep the day or maybe the rest of the year or more away. Honestly, that doesn’t sound too bad -- an eternal sleep. In your dreams, you can do anything without a worry. An eternal dream would be heavenly, doing whatever you want with no pressure and stress from the world, doing whatever at your own pace instead of being pressured to keep up with the rapidly moving public.
So that’s what you do, or that’s what you try to do. It’s nearing sundown and you stay curled up under your bed on your phone while scrolling through social media, you only get up to get food and water and to use the bathroom. Anything else? That’s it. You look through every single platform you’re on underneath the blanket while cuddling RJ stolen from Seokjin’s bed.
Speaking of Seokjin…
You’ve been living with him as roommates for the past three years, and you have known him since high school when you were a freshman and him a sophomore. Whenever you two hang out together, some could easily mistake you as siblings, sometimes as lovers. You, however, don’t consider him a lover -- he’s just your best friend who agreed to live in this apartment together. Yep, just friends. Nothing more. Just friends. You don’t pay attention to his cute stupid grin whenever he makes a cheesy dad joke, nor his squishy cheeks that puffs up whenever he smiles. You also don’t pay attention to how he’s humming little melodies you’ve memorized overtime while he cooks, and you don’t pay attention to how he gets all giggly and happy whenever he gets excited. Though you do acknowledge how safe you feel around him, how comfortable it is to be around him.
He’s out today, working late as a recently hired producer and artist for Namjoon’s also recently opened company, MONO Entertainment, leaving your lonesome self the entire day. Speaking of loneliness, it feels more suffocating than usual. Music quietly plays through your phone’s speaker, you pull the sheets closer to your body as you try to dig deeper into the warmth of your safety. This duvet can’t keep you safe and warm, you’re well aware of that, you’ll have to eventually leave and rejoin the overwhelming society you know as reality.
Growing up, you always believed reality is perfect, a place where it has so many possibilities for you to strive for a better future -- or better yet, a better self. Oh, has the world proved you wrong.
The security alarm echoes throughout the apartment, accompanied by the sound of the door unlocking and opening. He's already home? Nevertheless, you stay in your bed, sliding even deeper into the duvet. Your name is called from the entrance, but you shut your eyes as you attempt to sneak in a nap. Today's pretty much not a social day, you just want to keep the talking to a minimum. Especially with your roommate. The door shuts, keys jingling in the distance followed by shoes thumping.
Soft padded footsteps nears your doorway, a crack between the frame and the door peeking into and out of your somewhat messy room. Seokjin, still wearing his fuzzy orange hoodie, gently pushes the door as he tries not to disturb you. Upon spotting the you-sized lump protruding from the blanket, he sighs with a small smile on his face. He walks to the nearest side of your bed, closest to the door, which surprisingly you left space for your full sized bed.
Once more, he calls your name, but you still don't respond. At least verbally. You just shuffle in place and push yourself even more deeper into the duvet. A light chuckle grabs onto your ears. Your friend sits on said empty spot of your bed and gently rests a hand on the lump, landing on your left arm.
"Hey bub," he says while gently rubbing your arm in small strokes. Seokjin moves his hands towards the edge of the covers to pull it down, but you whine as you feel the sudden shift in air once he moves it down at least an inch. A frown dons his face, "C'mon, you can't breathe if you stay down there."
You shake your head. "Come back in 2-3 business days," you mumble.
Surprised by your sudden remark, he lets out an airy laugh a moment sooner. You feel shifting behind you, the heavy duvet being moved around. A warm presence slides into your cocoon, inching closer to you. If you're not getting out, might as well get in.
"Jin," you whine pathetically, "get out."
"Aw, c'mon, can't I at least get a hug?"
You blink your eyes, practically rolling them at the end. He's pouting, you know he is. In fact, if you turn around right now, you'd see his pouty lips especially in the dark. With a straight face, you slowly flop over to your right to face exactly what you expected. A pouty Seokjin with -- oh no -- how dare he use those puppy eyes against you out of all people! Without even realizing it, you hold your breath as you two stare each other for a long, long time. At each passing second, you feel the effects of the forbidden Seokjinnie Pout™ dealing blows at your already rapid beating heart. Your face grows redder and redder as you continue staring directly at his face.
When your ears starts to burn enough, you release your breath and surrender, "Fine, you can hug." His eyes brightens at your words, his cheeks rounding up as a smile pushes through the pout. Has he always been this close before? Just inches away from your faces touching. You blink thrice then stammer, "Just... just once."
An arm suddenly reaches for your curled up body, Seokjin pushes himself towards you with his other arm on the bed. His warmth right against yours as he snakes his limbs around you, pulling you into his embrace. Out of habit, your arms wrap around his torso as you lean further into him and squishing RJ in between.
A hand reaches for your head, gently stroking it. His chest rumbles against your forehead while he asks, "Bad day?" Of course he'd notice, so you nod your head. He hums, still continuing his petting, "Thought so. Did you get up at all?"
"Only to go to the bathroom and eat," you reply back, subconsciously nuzzling into his fuzzy clad chest which steadily moves up and down with his breathing.
"Haven't gone out at all, hm?" This time you shake your head. He lets out a huff, patting your head twice before looking down at you, "What's wrong? You can tell me."
Your lips puckers into a pout, you smush your face closer into him as you mumble, "'s just -- I dunno -- just unmotivated I guess. Like there's nothin' I can do even though I know I can do it but -- yeah. That and just... lonely."
"Lonely? I'm right here, y'know," he lightly jokes as an attempt to lighten the mood.
"I know but like, the different type of lonely. Y'know, the type of lonely where you feel like you're just awkwardly standing in place of somewhere where you clearly don't belong. The type where you feel like you've been left out from everything that's happening no matter how fast or slow time goes by, even getting to the point where you feel like you’re lost." You swallow shortly afterwards, continuing with another mumble. Your arms tighten, "The type where you don't feel like you're alive."
He quietly stares at you, watching you breathe in his arms. Suddenly, you felt yourself being pulled up and out of the covers, being placed on the pillows while still in his embrace. You lift your head and look at him with an exhausted yet confused gaze. Both of you stare right into each others' eyes for a while, the slightly audible music still playing on the other side of yourself on the bed. "How about now? Do you feel alive?"
His sudden question caught you off guard, not even letting you respond with a suitable answer. Seeing your bewildered eyes, he repositions yourselves on the bed -- lying on his back and you resting your cheek on his chest, allowing you hear the faint thumps of his heartbeat. Right when you open your mouth, he immediately cuts you off, "What am I saying, it's much more easier said than done. Alive... It's a strange concept if you think about it. It all depends on how you live it, but how we live it is always the big question."
Leaning his head back onto the pillow, gazing up onto the ceiling, he subconsciously continues stroking his head as he too continues his train, "Sometimes I feel like I'm alive, finally getting a head start on my music career thanks to Namjoon, but sometimes? Sometimes I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know if I enjoy what I'm doing, I don't know if I am doing what I'm capable of doing in this life. I don't know if I'm living a life that I want to live, a life where I feel alive." He slightly tips his head towards your side, lowering just a bit to look back at you. "Even though I'm familiar with the loneliness, I don't mind it. Sure it sucks, but it helps you even when you don't think it would. Gives you time to reflect, gives you time to think, and most importantly, it gives you time to rest."
Turning towards the window, he faces the sky at the blue hour after the sun has set. The faint sound of vehicles moving throughout the streets muffles against the wall and the window. "Yeah, the world's fast, a lot of us are moving fast -- moving onwards without looking back. Whenever I look at those people, I always think to myself, 'Wow, these guys... I can't keep up.' I still think of it to this day. Whatever they did in their day, no matter how big or small, they're always moving at their own pace to keep up with the world. I don't doubt it though, feeling the same loss and loneliness we feel every now and then. It catches us off guard, especially to them at least once in their lives. Just like today." Once more, his gaze falls back onto you. You , who stares with wide eyes as you listen to his philosophy.
His lips curls up into a small smile, warm enough to comfort you. "No matter how many times you feel this way -- everyday or every other day -- you're still you. The loneliness isn't always there to torment you, it's there to guide you, help you. Don't ever try to force it out, like misery, it loves company. Company that it can be useful to. No matter where or what you're doing in the world, you will seek that life again. The life you believe that you will fulfill to the end, the life that will make you feel alive even just by a smidge."
Loneliness. You never thought of it that way, honestly. You'd always think of it as an obstacle, something annoyingly in your way. Something which seems to be impossible to overcome. Shuffling up, moving into a more comfortable position, you rest your ear onto his chest. Hearing Seokjin’s voice say your name, you look up again.
In just a split second, he places a light feathery kiss on your forehead, immediately burning your ears red. "Take a break," he murmurs against your skin, "I mean it."
Underneath your head, you feel him shuffle as he starts to make his way out of the bed. "Seokjin," you instantly call. He pauses, a leg sticking out of the duvet and bare foot planted on the floor, then he looks back. Without even realizing, you ask him, "Can you stay here with me? Please?"
Blinking once then twice, his Adam's apple bobs as he swallows and slowly nod. Zipping off the hoodie, letting it fall onto the floor, he crawls back into bed and repositions himself in the same spot he was in.
You reach for your phone, turning off the music then placing back behind you in its original spot. Climbing up to him, you readjust yourself into your position from earlier, curling up against his warm body. Shutting your eyes, you whisper, "Thank you."
You didn't elaborate nor was there a need to. Seokjin watches you breathe, his gaze soft at the sight. Wrapping his arms back around you, he places another kiss on your head, "You're welcome. Have a nice sleep, love."
Love? Your heart stutters at the word, a grin threatening to burst out.
Tomorrow will be another day, the day where you'll put yourself back on track and pick up where you left off. While the world doesn't wait for no one, the only one waiting for you is yourself and maybe a specific somebody keeping you close to his heart.

YinYin did not enjoy award shows.
It too often involved short skirts, extended periods of sitting with nothing to do, the screaming of crowds, and, given the size of NCT, they were often split up in seating.
Which was how she found herself now. Sitting on the row of benches in front of the rest of NCT, struggling to keep her legs together and prevent her skirt from riding up. There were fans standing everywhere below the artists’ platform, and one slip up from her and they’d see everything.
“Yin?” Someone hissed.
She turned, finding Mark and Taeyong, the two closest members, leaning down to talk to her.
“Are you okay?” Mark asked, patting his legs to symbolize her skirt.
She nodded with a tight smile. “Yeah, it’s all good. We’re only here until our performance, anyways.”
“You want my jacket?” Taeyong offered, already starting to shrug out of it. Given that they were in the male artists section, there was a shortage of resources to cover her legs.
It was chilly in the venue, so she shook her head. “I’m fine, really.”
“If you’re sure.” He looked unconvinced. “Let us know if you need anything.”
“Will do.” She turned back to the stage as Twice’s performance began to set up.
She was so focused on watching Twice try not to wipe out on the slippery stage that she almost didn’t notice when a figure plopped down next to her.
“There we go, that should cover both of us.” Someone spread a blanket across her lap, scooting close to share.
YinYin turned, finding herself face to face with the only female member of Stray Kids, Tori.
“Hi.” She said, a little shocked at how close she was.
“Hi!” Tori beamed. “Sorry, I saw Mark freaking out so I made Jisung switch seats with me because I think I - Oh my gosh Momo almost slipped - I think I have the only blanket on this side of the venue. It’s so inconsiderate to not have them everywhere, don’t you think? Male idols get cold to and I really don’t feel like showing everyone what I have under this skirt, you feel me?”
“Ummm...” YinYin blinked.
“Oh right,” Tori shook her head and extended her hand in for a greeting. “Sorry, I’m Tori. I sometimes forget that I don’t already know people when I’ve seen so many of their videos. You’re YinYin, yeah?”
“Uh, yes.” YinYin carefully shook her hand. “Nice to meet you.”
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to talk to Tori, it was just that she was so incredibly disarmed by the situation.
Tori was incredibly pretty, not in a supermodel type of way, but like the friendliest girl next door that every male idol would have a crush on. Her face was spread into a bright smile, her kind eyes sparkling, and a spattering of freckles across her nose that were barely concealed by her makeup. She was wearing a strapless black dress, with the hemline hidden under the blanket that they shared. YinYin realized that she was mixed, and somehow recalled Mark saying that Tori was Canadian. Not that you could tell, because she babbled in Korean like someone who had spoken the language for years.
“Nice to meet you too.” Tori turned back to the stage. “Sorry if this is weird. I just thought I could share. I can switch back if you-”
“No.” YinYin smiled. “It’s kind of nice to have some company.”
“I know, right?” Tori smiled, happy to have finally found common ground. “They always make us sit in the guys section. And I mean, I love my boys but sometime I want to talk to other girls.”
“I know what you mean.” YinYin laughed. “I can only sit next to Lucas for so long, so it’s nice to be with someone else.”
“Lucas...the tall one?” Tori held a hand up to fully illustrate that he was, in fact, tall.
“Yeah. He’s very chatty.”
“Oh, but I am too!” Tori held a hand to her chest. “Do you not like that?”
“No, no! It’s nice coming from someone else.” YinYin promised.
“Thank goodness.” Tori sighed. “I have to be honest, I’m not the best at making friends.”
“What?” YinYin blinked. “That can’t be true.”
“It is! Most of the time it’s chance. Like right now, because I wanted to share my blanket.” She gave a firm nod. “Solidarity, or whatever.”
“I really do appreciate it, I was sure I’d slip up and show everyone my - jeez did they grease the stage or something?” YinYin gasped as Dahyun’s feet scrambled for balance.
“They’re wearing heels too.” Tori shook her head. “I can barely walk in these things.” She kicked her leg forward, showing off a pair of black stilettos.
“Tell me about it.” YinYin laughed, showing off her own silver heels. “At least they don’t make me dance in them. I have way too many flips for that.”
“Flips.” Tori blinked once, before her face lit up into a grin. “You guys are performing later, right? Will we get to see- “ Almost as quickly as she’d smiled, a frown graced her face. “But it’s so slippery, you could fall and hurt yourself.”
“We might change up the routine.” YinYin reassured her. “I had one really bad fall on a slippery stage so now we take out my flips if it’s dangerous.”
“Oh, good.” Tori sighed in relief. “I was nervous. I-”
“You guys okay down there?”
They both turned around to face Mark and Taeyong.
“Hi, guys!” Tori gave a friendly wave.
YinYin’s mouth dropped as both boys actually blushed.
“Hey, Tori.” Mark gave a small smile. “Having fun?”
“Oh yeah.” Tori linked arms with YinYin. “I’ve replaced you.”
“What? I thought we were bros for life.” He complained.
Yinnie laughed, leaning closer to Tori and deciding to play along. “Well, now we’re bros for life.”
“But we-”
“Shhh...” YinYin hushed them. “Watch the show.”
They girls turned away, giggling to themselves as they left the boys speechless.
“I miss hanging out with other girls.” YinYin sighed, gesturing to where Twice was beginning to perform Feel Special, “I totally should’ve been in a girl group. Good conversation, nice outfits, not falling into the toilet because -”
“Someone forgot to put the seat down!” Tori exclaimed. “Is that like a universal thing? Urgh, last time it happened I threw Seungmin’s toothbrush in the toilet as punishment.”
“Boys are the worst.” YinYin sighed.
“Yeah.” Tori sighed too.
Still, both of them were fully aware that they wouldn’t change anything about their groups.
“We should hang out sometime.” Tori suggested. “You could teach me one of your flips.”
“Sure. You’re a dancer, right? It shouldn’t be too hard.”
“It’s a date then.” Tori smiled.
“I’ve got all of the free time,” YinYin added. “None of my groups are promoting right now.
“None of your-” Tori trailed off, blinking rapidly. Her mouth parted just a little bit, before she looked at YinYin, excitement on her face.
“You’d fit so well, but you’re already in SuperM, but you’d get along so well with Zo and it’d be so-”
“Um, Tori?” YinYin waved her hand in front of the other girl’s face. “Are you okay?”
Tori ignored her, reaching down to pat TXT’s Soobin on the shoulder.
“Soobin, can you switch seats with Sara?” Tori asked when he turned to look at her.
“Uh, sure.” He stood, shuffling to the other end of their bench. Sara looked confused, until she spotted Tori, and stood to switch. Another girl who was unfairly beautiful, Sara had luckily been dressed in a long skirt with a tight long-sleeve top, making her look effortlessly elegant as she lowered herself into the seat in front of them. “Hey, Tor.” She smiled. “YinYin, right?”
“Yeah, it’s nice to-”
“Soo-ji, I think I found our girl.” Tori exclaimed.
“What?”
“For...” She looked around, before talking through her teeth in an effort to be discreet. “Zoey’s little project.”
“What project?” YinYin asked.
The other girls ignored her.
Sara studied her. “She is a good dancer, and could balance out Sumi and I.”
“Sumi? Why is Sumi-”
“And she’s super nice too.” Tori grinned. “And we were told to make our own friend and I did it.”
Sara thought for a long moment, before nodding. “We should run it by Zoey and Sumi, but I think it’ll be fine.”
“Can someone tell me what’s going on?” YinYin begged.
“Did you not tell her?” Sara gave Tori a scolding look, before turning back to YinYin. “We’re kind of in the process of making a girls’ supergroup. And due to...unforeseen circumstances we need a new member. And Tori just found you.
“Found me?”
“Like an abandoned kitten.” Tori hugged YinYin’s arm. “Please, please please? Just come out and talk to the others. They’ll love you and then we can all be in a group together.”
“A group.” YinYin swallowed. On one hand, she was already in a super group, but on the other hand, she’d never really had a chance to promote with other girls before. And Zoey was one of Kpop’s most legendary performers.
Plus, Tori didn’t really seem like she planned on taking no for an answer.
“Sure.” She said finally. “What’s the harm in meeting with them?”
“Yay!” Tori clapped her hands. “This is going to be awesome. Do you like bubble tea?”
“Wha- I...yes?”
“Great.” Tori gave Sara a little kick with her foot. “I hope you like fun flavours because Soo-ji is boring.”
“I like simple flavours.” Sara protested. “Your drinks are confusing.”
“Fun.” Tori corrected. “YinYin, what kind of bubble tea do you like?”
This felt like a test.
“Um, I like the green tea ones.”
Tori grimaced, and Sara smiled.
“I like her.” Sara decided. “We can keep her.”

Hello :3 I saw your blog answering anons on the timeline, so a random A.C.E rant from a somewhat new Choice is coming if you’re ready. I’m not actually mad typing this all down but I’m frustrated and trying to find ways out to make A.C.E bigger with my social media managing/marketing/business lectures I’ve had in the past lol. Sorry if this is long but I need to hear opinions other than mine </3
I’m also an ARMY and saw a thread called “Jimin Being Tiny” and it was a bunch of pics him being cute and I enjoyed it so much. Now if I wanted to do the same for Byeongkwan for example, I know more than the half of the Choice fandom will literally be threatening me just because I called him small (FOR THE REASONS OF AN IDOL ACTING CUTE FOR THE FANS AND NOT THAT I DON’T RECOGNISE HIS STRENGTH). A populer choice on twitter would say “don’t call byeongkwan tiny he doesn’t like it” and others literally will be okay with it like they know as if byeongkwan is their cousin. I just know for a fact this fandom is so focused on attacking others AMONGST THE FANDOM and that is exactly why we can’t grow. It’s almost like popular choice accounts are gatekeeping A.C.E. Everyone is afraid of being cancelled and don’t talk about A.C.E on social media other than saying they are “talented” and “underrated”. They are very talented indeed, but Choice needs to understand that could be the least of marketing in the Kpop industry- especially if you don’t have a bigger company. Beat Ceo-nim is not doing the best job to promote them already, they almost never get a use of social media, when it basically is where everyone is into now. TXT for example, got so much attention just from several Tiktoks, promoting their music or hopping onto trends. They ain’t showing titties or anything, just some dances and songs. I mean A.C.E are already showing tits with this comeback lmao. I believe they have such hidden gems and would make a great use of them on the social media entering the trends. I know it’s not up to them, but it would’ve been so much better reaching out to new people. Another thing. I love their music, but as a BL lover, i first got into them with Wowkwan. Then, on a q&a their manager(?) says “Wowkwan is a fantasy, not real” (*screams* what was the reasonnnnn) and everyone in the fandom suddenly was against wowkwan and was “protecting boys” from the “rumors.” They won’t understand no one ships idols romantically already like it’s all about cute interactions and being close and the rest is up to imagination as any fan would do. For instance I can’t think anything like this happening to Woo/San from Ateez or Chan/Lix from Skz. I’m so upset about this lol. I love A.C.E and i’m an OT5, but we almost never get unit or OT5 interactions (the hotel room and the Christmas vlive were exceptions). For BTS, you could find millions of moments they give us as friendship moments or emotional moments with each other as a team, but I feel like A.C.E falls more into the individualistic category, where it’s important for every each of them to shine, rather than as a team. I’m not saying they don’t care about the team, they care about each other a lot and you can feel this from the letters they wrote each other or on that Sehyoon birthday vlive, I just don’t think they have enough interactions or moments that they showed a lot of emotions. It makes me question if they are not fully comfortable with each other or rather, stopping themselves from acting too much in front of the camera. Are they friends, or a team that was formed for a job? Junhee often talks about how being an idol is a job, but people on social media are on the social media just because they want to see the emotions they haven’t had the chance to feel irl. We already have struggles as international fans with A.C.E cause of the language barrier, unlike for example SKZ or NCT, we just need to understand as a fandom that this is a competition for A.C.E in the industry, and gatekeeping content or constantly fighting each other isn’t helping. For a win, we need to be promoting a bit more out of our comfort zone (also Beat Ceo-nim please hear me out) and stop being mad to each other for things like calling members positive adjectives, for liking an interaction between members or even for not streaming.
I'm pretty new to the fandom myself and haven't encountered any toxicity yet, but I've also only talked to Tumblr CHOICE. I know all the toxic stans play on the Twitter playground because it's a more popular platform and they'll have a greater chance of being seen to spread their negativity.
I feel like if you want to make a soft Byeongkwan thread on the bird app then by all means please do. There's going to be antis on the platform no matter what kind of thread you make. It doesn't matter how you word it, it's gonna offend someone. The antis are loud on Twitter on purpose. Their job is to push down the positive and bring up the negative.
I also don't really know how promos go for A.C.E. This was my very first comeback for them so I didn't know what to expect, and since they're from a small company it wouldn't have been fair of me to compare the quality to a group from the Big 3 or BigHit.
I mean they did a pretty great job with promotions prior to dropping the album and title, but I do know they they did a trash job of preparing CHOICE for when the actual song would drop. I remember seeing a lot of upset stans in the tag. Also I didn't know that they would only drop the MV on 1theK and not their own channel. Usually with MVs they're posted on 1theK as well as their own channel so there is dual exposure and more views. So that was pretty negligent too. IDK if A.C.E will be promoting a full month on music shows or just a couple of weeks.
I agree that TikTok would be a good platform for A.C.E as well as any kpop idol to promote on just because it's literally the most popular platform right now and they could be working on making one or maybe the members don't want a TikTok, honestly there's no real way of knowing about anything like that.
As far as interactions. I know nothing of the ships except maybe DongJun because they hang out a lot together. Also fans being mad about certain member interactions in a group is a toxic tale that's old as time. It happens in every fandom so I'm not surprised but what I've learned is that fans don't really dictate who interacts with whom, though it may seem that way to some stans. A.C.E spends most of their time with each other so they're not just going to stop interacting with a member because some immature and spoiled fan said it's messing with their ship.
I never really noticed a lack of ot5 content, but then again I don't really watch any lives of any idols because I don't have the time. I do know that both Byeongkwan and Sehyoon have taken personal hiatuses to work on their mental health so that could be a reason for lack of ot5 content. This job is stressful if not overwhelming most times, maybe some alone time is just something they really need to keep going. It doesn't matter if they're real friends or not (it's not really my place to say. Tho I think they are actual friends). Maybe one or more members is too tired to do a group live or maybe they're doing something else that they rarely have time to do. A lot of factors could go into why there may be a lack of ot5 content. That also could be a reason why they don't have personal IG/Twitter accounts. I could go on and on about possible reasons.
I'm sorry I'm not much help in these matters, my judgment is very impartial these days. I try not to be where any of the negativity is because it ruins things for me.

Warnings: Angst, mentions of drug abuse/addiction, mentions of suicidal thoughts, depression, abuse, sexual assault, violence.
A/N: This is a request! Requested by @deereadeer Sorry this took so long!
~ (reader discretion is recommended) ~
Betraying the darkest parts of your heart to strangers was definitely something you wouldn’t recommend. Heart in your throat, you looked across at the judges. The founder of the company had his eyebrow raised, as if asking if you were going to do anything.
Taking a deep breath, you summoned every ounce of your courage and opened your mouth.
As you begin to sing, you feel everyone’s eyes fixed on you. You don’t pay attention to that, only to the thumping feeling of your racing heart.
You close your eyes, putting all the emotion you can manage without breaking down, into your voice.
Suddenly the room around you faded, you saw your darkest fears, the ones you could never talk to someone about. Your worst memories.
Walking through the lush park that you could no longer stomach to see, the gentle air playing with locks of your hair. The three men, strangers to you, who now haunted your nightmares regardless, had come out of nowhere, the darkness around them betraying the darkness of their hearts. And when it was over, they slunk back to nowhere.
You had only been two blocks away from your house.
You were almost home.
But you weren’t.
The frightful attack was just the start of your mentally declining slope. Drugs, alcohol. They became your only comforts. The only thing helping you cope. The shame surrounding your use of them was apparent to only you. No one else knew of your pain. Not even your best friends.
The real saving light to your turmoil came, maybe not when you desperately wanted it to, but it came nonetheless.
Your parents.
Of course you knew that your trusting, caring parents would have never imagined the spiral you had fallen into.
But they tried their best to comfort you regardless. You saw the shame in their eyes though, they couldn’t hide that. Their shame didn’t change the fact they loved you.
You knew that they loved you.
So when they told you to go to rehab, you went willingly. They had to know what was best for you. Because you sure as hell didn’t.
Your eyes slowly trailed up to the judges, resisting the urge to wipe your eyes, unsure of if there were even tears in them.
The judges all had straight faces. For a second your heart sunk.
Maybe you just weren’t good enough.
Was your best not good enough?
The female judge was the first to crack. She turned away and her shoulders began shaking, her hands shooting up to her face. Sobs were torn from her mouth, none too quietly.
The CEO, Bang Shi Hyuk or better known as PD Nim, wasn’t crying or staring almost blankly at you. He was smiling.
“Thank you for auditioning, we’ll get back to you if you’ve made it through.” He stated, voice a little quieter than normal. “You remind me of someone.”
You blinked.
He sighed, realising that you wanted to know who he meant. “You remind me of RM, from BTS. You both speak well and have heartfelt lyrics.”
It was your turn to smile, a sense of pride washing over you. “He’s my brother.”
The judges gasped quietly, the crying woman’s eyes widening. “Why didn’t you tell us beforehand? We would’ve marked you better!”
You shuffled on your feet, fingers playing with each other. “Well…I guess… I..”
“I think Kim Y/n means that she didn’t want to use her brother to make it through the auditions.” Bang Shi Hyuk said, smiling kindly at you.
You nodded vigorously. “Yeah. I want to do it for myself. Not cheat my way through…”
The woman stood up, face contorted somewhere between disbelief and anger. “What if you don’t make it through? Wouldn’t that be worse on your reputation? It wouldn’t even be cheating, it would just be an advantage!”
“I want to do this myself. I’m sure I can.”
Bang Shi Hyuk nodded. “We have your details and contact information. The period of call backs is one to two weeks. Thank you. Goodbye.”
-✥-
“Namjoon’s really good at rapping.”
You were lying on the floor of the practice room at Big Hit Entertainment with five other girls. Not just any girls. These girls were insanely talented— and also the only female idol trainees signed under the same company as the Kpop sensation, BTS, the band your brother was in. You six girls were kind of special in that sense.
“Yeah I know.” You replied, not trying to hide the pride in your voice.
“How come you aren’t good at rapping then?” Aiko asked, her dark eyes fixated on the tv mounted on the wall. You rolled your eyes when you saw that her eyes were solely on your brother. You still weren’t used to the whole ‘worldwide famous brother’ thing.
“Just because my brother is a good rapper doesn’t mean I am too.”
Heeyoung laughed. “Yeah but how can you not even drop a beat?”
Heeyoung was the main rapper in the group, so you weren’t surprised to hear this from her.
“I’m a singer, not a rapper.” You replied.
Ji-Eun smiled softly. Her smile was a welcoming thing to you. She normally was quiet, didn’t smile much and wasn’t very opinionated— a real peacekeeper. When she spoke, she spoke with pure honesty. You had never seen her lie before, at least, not successfully.
“You’re the best singer I’ve ever heard. Better than all those professional singers out there.”
You went red. “J-Ji! You can’t say that!”
Aiko shook her head. “No, she’s right. You’re a real natural talent. Probably even better than Jungkook.”
Your eyes widened. “J-Jungkook? He’s a senior to us! You can’t insult him like that!”
“Y/n, it’s a compliment to you.” Aiko scoffed, no malice in her voice.
“B-but-!”
A tinkling laugh filled the room and you turned to the source. The lead dancer of your group was grinning up from her phone. “Y/n, you really can’t accept compliments can you?”
“I can accept compliments just fine Luna.” You pouted.
Luna shrugged. “Maybe. Maybe just not in front of us.”
“Baram has no problem accepting compliments. I guess she should do our acceptance speeches.” Aiko stated.
Baram looked up from her phones. Baram smirked instantly. “No, that won’t work. Our modest leader shall accept everything.”
“Accept what?” Luna laughed. “We haven’t even debuted yet!”
Aiko jumped up, thrusting her fist into the air. “Yeah, but I know we’ll do well! Just like BTS! Just like TXT!”
“Yeah but BTS is mainly vocalists. We have two vocals.”
Everyone’s eyes drifted to Baram. She was a known overthinker. Ji-Eun quickly came to the rescue though. “Doesn’t matter. We’ve got some of the best dancers I’ve ever known! We’ll rock the industry to their core.”
You grinned. If anyone could energise your group, it was definitely Ji-Eun. “On three! UT-Opia!”
“UT-Opia!”
-✥-
You sat down in your dormitory, ignoring the fact that Aiko was sleeping, quite loudly, in your own bed. You rolled your eyes, throwing a blanket over her and turning on your camera.
You smiled warmly into the camera. “Welcome back, Blisses! I’m Y/n, the leader and main singer of UT-Opia! Today I’ll be talking about the song writing process! First I think of what the song will be about. Normally two themes: Love or sadness. I’m feeling pretty happy right now, so I’ll write about love.”
You talked for maybe five minutes before signing off and turning off the camera. You sighed in relief. Now all you had to do was your afternoon workout, and you would be done for the day.
Aiko stirred from under the blanket. “Oh. Hey Y/n.”
Walking over to her, you smiled lovingly. As much as you loved all the girls equally, you had a soft spot for the maknae, Aiko.
“Hey Aiko.”
She looked over at where your camera was set up, sheets of music and note paper discarded messily. Her brow creased. “Were you filming a daily vlog?”
You nodded.
“Don’t overwork yourself.” She warned.
You laughed unintentionally at this. Here she was, so exhausted from her daily life that she had collapsed into your bed, and slept for who knows how long. And she was telling you to take a break.
“I’m fine Aiko. You, however, look tired. Please sleep well. I’ll wake you when we need to practice.”
Her head immediately fell into the blanket again. “Thanks Y/n.”
You shared a room with Ji-Eun, which you never used. Really, it was more a gesture than anything useful.
You carefully pried open the front door to your actual dorm, being as silent as possible.
“Y/n! You’re back!”
Your brother greeted you with a hug and you couldn’t help but fall into his warm embrace. He smiled at you.
“Where were you? I hope you weren’t practicing all day..”
You grinned and pulled him into another quick hug. “No more than I need to.”
Namjoon sighed. He rustled his short blue hair and eyed your own dyed hair. “Honestly, at this point do we even look like siblings?”
“The price of fame.” You quipped. He laughed slightly.
“The price of keeping your fans happy.”
You turned to him, setting down the cup of coffee you had just begun to make. You studied him with care, studying him for any of his normal nervous habits. But no, he was standing calm and still.
“Don’t you enjoy making your fans happy anymore?”
He looked up from his own cup. He shook his head. “I do. I love making them happy. In fact, they make me happy.”
“I wonder if I’ll be as happy.”
The words came out without any intention to. Your thoughts had somehow managed to scramble themselves and now your older brother was looking at you, bright eyes unable to mask their sympathy.
“I’m sure you’ll be just as successful—if not more. And I’ll always make sure you’re happy.”
You sucked in a breath. “Always?”
“When have I ever not been here for you?”
You didn’t answer his question, knowing if you lied he may be able to tell, somehow. Instead you just nodded, smiled slightly awkwardly.
A gush of breeze raced past you, so fast you couldn’t even see what it was. Well, not really. As sneaky as Taehyung thought himself, the young man from your brother's group was actually not very good at unnoticed movements. In fact it had only taken two days of living with him to know his lying habits, exactly how fake his smile was, and what he did when he was tired. A lot of the time, it was the latter. He never seemed to get a full night's sleep. Often he would knock on your door and you would get out of bed and follow him out onto the deck. Together you would sit in silence, just gazing at the stars.
“Y/n! You hard worker! I’m glad you’re back!”
You smiled at the younger man and brought him in to you for a brief hug. “Ah, I should be saying that to you guys. Promoting a new album is making your schedules busy, eh?”
Namjoon sighed loudly. “It’s hard.” He saw your slightly disappointed face and hurried to correct himself. “It’s always worth it though.”
“Mm. I’ll wait until I see the worth.”
You breath hitched. Min Yoongi, the second oldest in your brothers group, had entered the room. He scratched his neck slowly, eyes trailing to each person's present face. He looked away before he got to you though.
“Oh Yoongi give her some hope.” Taehyung complained.
Yoongi shrugged. “It’s true. I’m just tired right now. Where’s the cereal?”
“Grandpa, it’s 10 at night.” Namjoon groaned.
Yoongi’s upper lip curled downwards in something that resembled disgust. “What’s wrong with cereal at night?” His frown deepened. “And don’t call me grandpa.”
Namjoon rolled his eyes. “Whatever. How’s your practice going anyway?”
Realising this was directed at you, you looked up into your brothers strong eyes. “I think we’re pretty good! Almost as good as you guys!” You teased.
Namjoon laughed. “I wouldn’t be surprised. You girls are very talented. All we have really is years of work and a massive fan base backing our every move.”
Your eyebrows fell. “We haven’t even debuted yet. Of course we aren’t that successful.”
“You guys still do daily vlogs right?” Taehyung asked.
“Yeah Y/n did one this morning.”
Turning to Yoongi, your heart caught slightly. “D-did you watch it?”
He nodded. “It was good. I like the way you write your music. It’s very deep.”
Your heart began pounding, not because of the butterflies catching at the fact that he had been watching you, but now because he had seen you so invested in your music. It almost felt as if you were ripping out pages of a diary you had kept for years and giving it to him to read through.
“Too bad you didn’t do any singing though.”
“I haven’t heard you sing— really sing, I’m so long Y/n.” Namjoon jumped in. “Do you think you could sing for me at some point.”
“Me too!” Taehyung jumped in, reminding you that he was still there.
“Maybe later?” You squeaked.
Namjoon’s eyes narrowed. “That’s fine. I think you should go to bed.”
You sighed. Of course Namjoon had noticed the sleep bags under your eyes. He was too perceptible for his own good sometimes.
“I will. I just need to talk with Jungkook first.”
The three boys nodded. It had become a regular thing, you talking to each of the boys in private every few days. They just assumed that it was for some type of mentoring purposes, as the things you asked about were always vague. But your conversations always turned to a more emotional route.
Because you weren’t there only for their tutoring and mentoring.

“Jungkook sunbae?”
“Come in.”
You slowly opened his door, walking in quietly. He was slouched on the floor against his wall, phone in hand. He looked up at you and grinned.
“Hey Y/n. Nice to see you. And for the hundredth time, just call me Jungkook. You’re older than me for goodness sake.”
You laughed, sliding down next to him. “But you have so much more experience than me. It doesn’t feel right addressing you so casually.”
“You’ve been living here for two whole years now. I think we’re pretty good friends at this point.”
“You guys have really blown up over two years.”
He turned off his phone, throwing it and landing it perfectly onto his bed. “And you guys have gotten a lot better at dancing— which to be honest, is astounding seeing how good you were to start with.”
“And your mental health has gotten so much better.”
“It’s only thanks to you.”
You smiled. “I’m glad I can do anything to help you. You didn’t need much helping really, just a gentle push in the right direction. You’ve been strong since I’ve known you.”
“You as well.” Jungkook responded earnestly. “You were really reluctant to move in with us at first.”
A laugh filled the room. “Well you should expect that— A 23 year old moving in with a bunch of men.”
Jungkook shrugged. “I moved in with a bunch of teenagers and young men when I was only young. I guess I had very different experiences to other people.” He looked down at the tattoos running all along the skin of his hands. The word ‘ARMY’ spelt out of his group members' names. “I guess some of those experiences were good though.”
A warm smile washed over your face, lighting up your eyes.
Jungkook was right.
Some experiences were different— and they weren’t all enjoyable.
But some of them were good.
“I’m really glad I came here. Even if I didn’t really want to at first. I’ve learnt so much from you guys. I think I’ve grown a lot more too.”
Jungkook chuckled, ready to poke fun at you after your shared emotional moment. “I hope you don’t mean in height, because that certainly isn’t true.”
You rolled your eyes, shoving him slightly as you got up.
He looked slightly crestfallen as you began to exit his room. “Wait I didn’t mean to offend you!”
You giggled. “And you didn’t. I just need to go to bed. I’m tired, Kook.”
A bright grin washed over his face, white teeth popping out in a bunny like expression. “You called me Kook!”
You paused in his doorway. “No..”
Bolting towards, and before you could react he had his arms wrapped around you tightly.
This felt sickeningly similar.
The feeling of being deprived of air.
The world turned to pure black.
“Y/n?”
You blinked.
Right. That was just your memories. This was the present.
And there was no reason for you to be afraid.
Grabbing at Jungkook’s back you found your chin resting on his shoulder. He fidgeted, clearly surprised that you had returned his gesture.
“Yeah I called you Kook. Goodnight, Jungkook. Sleep well.”
He pulled back, even though you were his noona, a few years older than him even, he still stood a large majority taller than yourself. He leant down to press a light kiss onto your forehead. A brotherly action.
You pulled him into another hug quickly before running out of his room, trying in vain to hide your beaming face.

“They’re coming over here? Them!” Aiko squealed, not even trying to conceal her inner fangirl.
“Yeah. And one of ‘them’ is my older brother.” You eyed up Aiko’s bouncy stage. “Don’t make it weird.”
Aiko huffed, placing her hands onto her hips, staring at you with a sassy pout. “I've never made things weird.”
Luna jumped up, feeding off Aiko’s overexcited energy. “We can introduce ourselves as a group right? That’ll be so cool! Using our stage names too!”
“You don’t even have a stage name.” Heeyoung pointed out.
Luna thrust a hand at herself dramatically. “My name is so beautiful I need no stage name.”
“Girls! Get ready, they’ve just arrived.” Your manager said offhandedly, obviously not grasping the weight of the rest of your group getting to perform in front of the most famous band in the world.
You all jumped up, standing in a line in front of the door, a few metres back so as to not scare the poor boys.
The door clicked open and a bodyguard stepped inside. He looked around, then stepping forwards and aside, he cleared the way for the tall man behind him to enter.
Your brother smiled softly at you as the rest of the group filed inside slowly. You could hear Aiko practically buzzing when Jimin stepped inside.
“2! 3! Bangtan. Hello, we’re BTS!”
“We know.” Ji-Eun muttered and you had to bite your tongue to suppress a laugh.
You stepped forward, taking in a breath. “Hello! We are UT-Opia!”
At the end for UT-Opia, the other girls joined in so it came out as a chorus.
Your manager waved his hand as if this wasn’t necessary at all. It probably wasn’t, but it made you feel professional.
“Introduce yourselves girls. I’m sure the boys don’t need to.”
Ji-Eun raised her hand. “Manager, I’m sure I’ve told you, I don’t know BTS well at all.”
You giggled. Ji-Eun was ever blunt and honest. Your manager didn’t see this as a virtue though, and hung his face in his hands.
“It’s fine. Hi! I’m RM, rapper and leader of BTS.”
The following six members introduced themselves, to which Ji-Eun noticeably didn’t pay much attention to. Realising it was finally your turn, you took a deep breath, mustering your fleeting courage.
“I’m Y/n of UT-Opia. I'm the main vocalist and the leader.”
“I’m K.” Ji-Eun tried dismally to put any emotion into saying her stage name. “I'm the lead rapper and the oldest.”
“Hey! I’m Luna, lead dancer!” Luna accentuated the words ‘lead dancer’ with a flip of her dyed blonde hair.
“I’m Gem and I’m a main dancer.” Baram looked almost starstruck to be talking to BTS. She was normally overly confident and self certain, but right now she looked quite awed.
“I’m Cinnamon, it’s a stage name do not worry, and I’m a main dancer but I prefer the title of-”
Manager tapped his watch. Heeyoung smiled sympathetically at him, but regardless continued her speech. “I’m main dancer but I prefer the title of main rapper.” She looked down at her purple button up shirt and dark tracksuits that somehow looked fashionable. “I’m not as good at dancing as I am at styling.”
You could’ve sworn you heard Manager groan at her final wordings.
“I’m Aiko. I’m the youngest and I’m a sub vocal and also a dancer and sub rapper!”
Manager breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank goodness that’s over. Girls do you have a song you could perform, you know, to show what you can do? The boys can give some pointers or something.”
He looked down hurriedly at his watch. “I’m late to a meeting. Thank you BTS for coming. Please take care of them.”
As soon as the uptight man rushed from the room, Yoongi dropped onto the ground along with Jimin, and on the other end of the room, Heeyoung.
“Let’s get rid of the formalities, alright?” Yoongi asked.
You nodded. “Ji-Eun, their names are Namjoon, Seokjin, Hoseok, Yoongi, Taehyung and Jungkook, alright?”
She frowned. “I would’ve addressed them by their hair colours if I didn’t know.”
“But unnie-” You began.
Hoseok cut you off with a laugh. “Sorry Y/n for interrupting. Just K has such a lack of care. It’s quite honestly refreshing when everyone treats you like kings of some kind.”
“My name isn’t actually K.” Ji-Eun pointed out. “It’s Ji-Eun. Call me Ji.”
“I’m Baram.” Gem added.
You noticed the boy's eyes trail to Heeyoung. She didn’t comply.
“I’m just Cinnamon. It’s my birth name.”
“Her name is Heeyoung.” You said, grinning at her.
She rolled her eyes. “And the air of mystery is gone.”
“So what are you guys gonna perform?” Yoongi asked, eager to hear you sing.
You fiddled with your fingers. “We’re a mainly dance focused group, should we dance?”
“I want to hear you sing though.” Yoongi replied, not enforcing, but softly so he sounded as if he were reassuring you.
“Well.. I-” You begun.
Heeyoung leapt to her feet. “Well? Cmon! Let’s do that song!”
“Heeyoung and Aiko dragged you to your feet. “It’s a good song too!”
“I dunno.” You whispered.
Ji-Eun looked deep into your eyes. “There’s no harm in trying.”
And with that, you were in the middle of the room, a microphone in hand and the rest of your group spread around you.
Aiko pressed the player, turning on a quiet piano track you could remember sitting down and playing to record. It had been emotional by yourself, how would it be with people with you?
You took a deep breath.
No harm in trying.
Focusing on your voice instead of their reactions, you closed your eyes. As the words to your song left your lips, your mind wasn’t in the practice room. You were racing through all your bad memories.
And there was a light at the end of the foggy tunnel of pain.
A way out.
The last time Namjoon had heard you sing was before he went to audition for Bighit Entertainment. A long time ago. You had been just goofing around with him, he was rapping to the song and you were singing. He had showered you with compliments over your voice after that.
Would he still like your voice?
Your eyelids fluttered open. Ji-Eun, Heeyoung, Aiko and Baram were all moving rhythmically around you, moving with the music. Luna was dancing beside you in a smooth flowing form of actions. It wasn’t the normal hip hop or pop dancing she normally did. This was a more sorrow filled format. Her movements were lucid. She noticed you watching and made her way over to you. Her palm drew across your face, sliding your eyelids shut.
Only when you felt the moisture on her palm slide across your face did you realise you were crying. So much emotion was being poured into your voice that you hadn’t kept a tight enough lid on how you were acting physically.
You didn’t make the motion to wipe off your tears though.
The tears, the pain— they were part of your song.
Part of your life.
As the song drew to a close, your eyes opened again to see the astounded faces of the members of BTS. Yoongi’s eyes were wide and it seemed as if there was a slight sheen to them, a small amount of moisture. Hoseok, Jimin and Jin all looked amazed, and slightly guilty that you were crying. Jungkook and Taehyung were both blinking back tears. They had needed you a lot more than the others in your years of helping them with their mental health and hated seeing you upset.
The boys all had the same look of adoration and amazement plastered onto their faces. They were blown away by your voice, your emotion. By you.
Your brother was astounded though. A wave of emotions seemed to be rippling through his expressions all at once. It was a relief to hear your sweet voice once again, lifting and filling up the room as you sing your heart out. Pride overwhelmed him.
He was proud of you, of your voice. Of your emotions.
You fetched some drink bottles and took the chance to dry your eyes, handing a bottle to each member of your group.
“That was a really good song.” Yoongi noted. “The piano was superb as well. The lyrics.. they were really deep and heartfelt.
Aiko smiled. “That’s our Y/n writing and playing that song!”
Namjoon blinked slowly. “You wrote that song?”
“Y-yeah.” You gulped. Maybe he didn’t like it after all. “It’s not very good but-“
“Are you kidding me?” Namjoon yelped. “It was so good! The lyrics were so deep as Yoongi said! I can’t believe you’re such a good writer!”
You flushed a shade of crimson. “I-I-I thank you.”
“What is…” Yoongi’s voice trailed off. He peered at the moisture still in your reddened eyes. “Never mind.”
You flashed an okay-then smile at him and turned back to listen to how Hoseok and Jimin were critiquing their dancing— even though they would be the first to admit there was hardly anything to criticize. Jungkook began talking to you about some singing tips and you immersed yourself back into real life again. Pulling your mind out of your over active imagination.
-✥-
A nock came on your door when it was already late at night. In fact, if you stuck to your schedule you would already be in bed. But you found yourself sitting in your room, writing out lyrics to a song that you didn’t even need to write. You slowly opened the door, shutting off your light first so it looked as if you were about to go to bed, and not ignoring your schedule.
“Sorry Y/n. I know it’s a bit late.”
Yoongi stood in the hallway, shifting awkwardly, his eyes in contrast shon with a determination.
You felt your stomach fill with butterflies and you tried to quench the feeling. “No, it’s fine. What’s wrong?”
“Nothings wrong. I just...I wanted to ask a question.”
“Fire away.”
He shook his head slightly. “Well it’s not just a casual question. And I want to make sure I’m not invading your privacy. But it’s about the song you sung earlier.”
You felt your heart drop, blood running cold while simultaneously goosebumps spiked onto your skin.
“You seemed very emotional.. not even seemed. You cried and I really want to know why. I just feel that if I wait any longer to ask you, it’ll be too late. Now feels like the right time.”
Sighing, you knew he was right. You couldn’t hide your demons forever. Even though you had talked to your therapist a bit about the incident, you had never gone into depth about it with your parents. You had never even told Namjoon. Your brother had no idea that it had happened.
And it was time that he knew.
“Can you go get Namjoon? I’m not ready to tell the others yet.”
You were really close to Yoongi, the time that you had spent in their housing really grew you close to him. He had picked up on your main reason for being there almost the third time you had talked to him. He didn't mind that you were partially there just to help their mental health.
When you first moved in he hadn’t been at his best, stressed over the band’s popularity and success. His OCD was worse than ever.
More upset than the others, you were eager to help him get back on his feet. At first however, Yoongi was cold to you. He didn’t think he needed your help. He could fix it himself.
And he thought you were stuck up and arrogant to think that you could help him. After all, you were only 25 years old. Who were you to help him?
But slowly and surely with your help, he managed to get a hand on his health. He accepted that you could help him. It came to a time when he was happy to talk to you, and looked forward to it even.
Telling them was hard, but it felt freeing. Like a weight you had been carrying for the past eight years was lifted. As if you had been chained to your trauma and couldn’t get free, and now the locks were opened.
“You were attacked?” Namjoon almost yelled. You shushed him, nodding. Even though Yoongi had told the other boys not to enter the recording studio, you didn’t want to run any risks of them hearing regardless.
“The place is sound proofed Y/n, don’t worry.” Namjoon looked apologetic, as if by yelling he had upset you somehow. “But you were attacked? When was this?!”
“When I was seventeen…”
He immediately let out a cry. “You never told me? I could’ve helped you! Did the person ever get caught? Held accountable?”
You shook your head. “It wasn’t a person… it was three men.”
Namjoon swore loudly. “Multiple people? Attacking a fucking teenager? Who the fuck do they think they are? Who are they Y/n?”
You felt someone’s warm hand slip into yours, giving your own a tight reassuring squeeze. You noticed you were trembling slightly. It wasn’t from Namjoon raising his voice. It was from realising the weight of what had happened to you, that had suddenly come crashing down onto your mind.
You kept your gaze focused on Yoongi’s hand grasping yours, trying not to look at your astonished brother's face.
“I… I don’t know. They.. weren’t found.”
Namjoon let out a loud growl. “So the authorities can’t even do their job and find these degenerates? Fuck them.”
“N-Namjoon they’re trying their best! It’s not their fault…”
A wave of sympathy and guilt washed over his face. “It’s not your fault either Y/n! It’s those stupid bastards fault!”
You held your free hand up to quiet him. “Namjoon, I know it’s not my fault.”
His eyes narrowed, staring deep beyond your skin. “You’re so different Y/n… I shouldn’t have left you. You’ve changed so much from the little girl I left in Ilsan.”
You shook your head. “I changed at first after the attack. When I miscarried my child,”
You heard the boys intake of breath when they heard miscarriage. Namjoon didn’t know that you had been pregnant. YOUR PARENTS DIDN'T KNOW. How could you talk about this without crying? Without breaking down?
It was so hard to think about let alone talk to someone else about. But it was your brother. He had a right to know. And you wanted him to know.
“I-it really changed me. I thought.. maybe I was to blame for my child’s death. After all, I was the mother.. I was meant to take care of my baby. And I didn’t.”
“Y-your child..?” Namjoon whispered.
The present had faded into a fog. It was if you were standing in the dark, pure silence enveloping you. All you could hear was your thoughts, booming louder than you could control.
Your child.
Yoongi softly touched your arm. “Y/n? You were.. pregnant when you were attacked?”
You shook your head slowly. “The attack.. I got pregnant after..”
The words clicked inside Yoongi and Namjoon’s minds, sudden rage boiling through them.
The child you had carried inside you. The innocent victim of ruthless men, who you were just as bad as. It wasn’t the child’s fault. You had decided to keep it after you were found to be pregnant, hoping that you would be able to provide the child a life better than it’s conception.
You found out only months later that due to complications of your physical and mental health sustained after the attack— the poor infant had died before even reaching half term.
You had failed them.
“Y/n.. it’s not your fault.” Yoongi murmured. “You couldn’t stop them from attacking you, you weren’t to know… it’s in no way your fault. It’s so brave that you kept the baby...”
You shook your head, hands coming up to wipe tears from your eyes. “I was the mother! How could I fail my baby? It wasn’t their fault that their father was a c-criminal! It wasn’t their fault that they were conceived from an assault! They were innocent! T-There’s always a way to save someone!”
Namjoon grabbed your hands in his. “Y/n, it isn’t your fault. I’m really sorry you had to go through that, that you still feel guilt. You were so brave to try and give them a life anyway, even if it hurt you. You shouldn’t feel any guilt. It wasn’t your fault. Don’t blame yourself. I love you, Y/n. And I’m here for you.”
You sniffled softly, glad for your brother's presence.
He was right.
You knew that.
You had known that for years. But it took someone else saying that for you to finally realise it was true.
It wasn’t your fault.
“Do you feel alright to continue, Y/n?” Yoongi murmured, an empathetic expression washing over his face. “We can take a break if you want…”
“No.” You smiled slightly, Yoongi’s caring side more than enough to reassure that you were safe. “I’m alright.”
Taking a deep breath, you continued your story. “I-I got addicted to drugs. I was completely off the rails, trying my best to cope with something I couldn’t handle. It was destroying me from the inside out. Eating away at my physical health as well as my mental state. My-... our parents, found out a little while after. I didn’t last that long before they discovered what happened.”
“They knew?” Namjoon cried, his choice cracking. “Why did no one tell me? I should’ve known! I would’ve helped you!”
You shook your head, tears filling your eyes. “You don’t understand Namjoon! If I would’ve told you you would’ve left BTS! You would’ve come back home!”
“Well yes! Of course!” Namjoon replied.
“I couldn't let you give up your dreams for me! I couldn’t be responsible for ruining my brother's life! Not when our parents were already so shocked and upset to hear the news! Mum was always so supportive to both of us! She tried her best to make me happy and comfortable! But it got to the point where they couldn’t handle it anymore.. they sent me to rehab.”
“Rehab?” Yoongi asked, his voice quieter than usual.
You nodded. “It really helped me. The people there were so kind. It took me a while, but I finally recovered.”
Namjoon’s heart had been thumping in his chest for the past ten minutes. He couldn’t bear the thought that anyone had dared to hurt his little sister. By all accounts, to him she was perfect. He couldn’t fathom why anyone would want to hurt her.
“I should’ve been there for you! I’m your older brother and I didn’t even get to support you! I didn’t get the chance.”
You felt your heart shaking within you. “N-Namjoon? I have to tell you something else too.”
Namjoon and Yoongi looked at you, nervous for whatever you were going to say. You took a deep, shaky breath.
“You know the people you were in a rap group with back at Ilsan?”
Namjoon’s heart stopped.
“T-they were the ones who attacked me.”
Anger flared inside Namjoon’s eyes. “My former friends?! Attacked you?”
You nodded reluctantly.
His head fell into his hands. “I can’t believe this.”
“I’ll kill them.”
You both turned to Yoongi, whose jaw was set in determination. “I’ll kill them.” He repeated, his eyes focused solely on you.
Namjoon quickly jumped in. “Me too. Those sick bastards think they can get away with hurting my sister? I-I-”
“No.” You whispered. “I’m fine.”
“Fine?” Namjoon snapped. “I never knew that you were this hurt! How could you be fine?”
“Rehab really cleared my head.. I finally got a chance to step back and for the first time in possibly years, think about what I wanted.”
“Y/n…”
Yoongi’s soft eyes were focused solely on you, in a way that would normally cause your heart to do somersaults. But not right now. The tension in the room was thick, the atmosphere that of a depressing one.
“You’re a fighter.”
You hadn't expected this response. You had expected some form of criticism, for him to tell you on for subbumcing so easily to the quick way to no pain.
You get your heart squeezing. You had never talked in depth about your feelings to your parents, but right now you would be willing to open your heart to Yoongi.
“You’re one of the strongest people I’ve ever met. Sure, when you first got here I thought you were a snob, someone stuck up and ready to have the world handed to them simply for Namjoon’s achievements.”
Namjoon’s brow creased. “Watch how you talk about my sister hyung-”
“It’s alright.” You reassured him. “I trust his words mean no harm.”
Yoongi nodded instantly. “My views on you quickly changed. You cared for each of us, even if initially it was solely as a favour to Hitman Bang. And we began to care deeply for you. Because no matter what you’ve been through, no matter what tears you’ve shed and for what reasons, you always will mean so much to us. So much more than you can imagine.”
Yoongi wiped a tear from forming on the corner of his eye. He smiled sadly at you, regardless of the simplicity of the gesture, a wave of emotions spread through the one smile, rejuvenating and replenishing your drive, your focus.
“You deserve your happiness.”
You turned to the small voice.
He had spoken so much quieter than you had ever heard him speak before, the raw feelings in his voice transparent. “You deserve to be happy. You’ve been working so hard. You can’t just sacrifice your happiness for the benefit of others. I remember when we were growing up, you used to always make sure that I was okay if anything happened. Y/n, I’m your older brother. It’s okay to rely on me for support sometimes. You need me just as much as I need you. And that’s not a bad thing.”
You couldn’t hold yourself back any longer. You threw yourself against Namjoon’s chest, grabbing his back tightly, clasping him as if you could never let go.
“Y/n…”
You tried in vain to wipe your tears from your eyes, looking up at his strong face.
“It’s okay to cry. You don’t always have to smile. You’re still strong. And I’ll still love you anyway. You’re still my sister.”
You buried your face into his toned chest again. “N-Namjoon..I-I-I love you too.” You sniffled.
He gripped you tightly. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be there for you.”
“It’s not your fault, Namjoon. It’s only their fault. Please don’t feel guilty.”
Pulling away from you, he wiped the tears off your moist cheeks. “Okay Y/n. For you, anything.”
A small cough was interjected into the comfortable silence of the room, reminding you that Yoongi was still there. Both you and your brother turned to him. His eyes were soft and empathetic, as if he didn’t want to spoil the moment, but couldn't wait any longer.
“C-can I please talk to Y/n alone?”
Namjoon considered his hyung. While he didn’t really want to leave his sisters side, he knew that Yoongi wouldn’t ask it he wouldn’t take care of her. Namjoon knew he could trust him.
“Okay.” He relented. “Y/n, I love you. Just say if you need anything.”
On his way out he grabbed Yoongi’s shoulder bringing the older man against him.
“Make sure she’s okay. Don’t you dare hurt her.”
Yoongi nodded. “I wouldn’t dream of it.”
“I was in a dark place once. I wasn’t happy. It felt like the world was against me.”
Now that you were alone with Yoongi, he seemed a lot less cold, and a lot more caring. The off putting gaze he had on accident given you multiple times was replaced with soft eyes that seemed to drip honey.
“I got through it. And I’m heaps weaker than you. I don’t have the mental endurance that you have, nor the fighting spirit. If anyone can overcome this situation— it’s you.”
You wiped your eyes with your hands. It was so reassuring to have someone believe in you. To have someone who was backing you up.
“You know, I can’t believe how strong you are. To be able to recover from that in just years? And with only really your own strength? I really admire it. It’s amazing.”
You blushed slightly. “I didn’t really have much choice.”
He sighed, eyes scanning the door as if someone might burst in any second.
“Y/n… I shouldn’t be saying this. But I can’t hold onto my feelings any longer. I really like you.”
Your heart began racing and you could feel your skin begin to heat up.
Could Yoongi see how nervous you were?
You hoped he couldn’t.
“I-I-”
He grabbed your hand tightly, making your face flush.
“Y/n, you don’t have to answer me right now. I can wait as long as you need. I would wait forever for you.”
“Y-Yoongi I really like you too. I know I’m not always perfect but I-”
Yoongi’s body fell against yours, his arms wrapping around your frame. He stroked your hair slowly, burying his face in your shoulder.
“You don’t have to be perfect. Your flaws make you humans.” He pulled back slightly, playing with your hair as he looked right through you. “I believe you can overcome your flaws. They don’t make you a bad person. They make you you.”
You giggled slightly. It was weird to hear Yoongi so sweet. Normally he stayed away, his face in a resting serious face. You were so happy to see him smile.
“I’m so glad you like me back. I was so worried.”
“Me too…”
He pulled away one last time, his face weighted with a burden that hadn’t been obvious before. Or had you just not noticed.
“Y/n.. I know your past. So I think it’s time you found out mine.”
Your mouth opened slightly, eyes widening.
“Really? You trust me that much?”
He nodded, grinning. Then he frowned again. “Not all of it will be pretty. I-it might shock you a bit.”
You squeezed his hand that was still in yours. He blushed.
“I’m ready.”

agar tum saath ho (if you are with me)
pairing: choi soobin/choi yeonjun
word count: 5.2k
warnings: slight swearing
summary: when soobin's muscles start hurting after intense preparation for their upcoming comeback, he forces himself to deal with the pain. he couldn't worry and distract his members, not with the comeback so close. he could get through it just fine. after all, he needs to be a strong leader, right?
(alternatively: soobin endures the worst muscle pain ever but his members–and yeonjun–are here to help him through it and make him feel better. aka the soobin-centric txt sickfic you didn't need until right now)
Soobin doesn't swear much but fuck, were his neck and shoulder muscles hurting.
Granted, promotions are well underway and they have all been working themselves to the bone for the past two months, but Soobin knows this isn't normal. The last time he had ever felt this sore was back when he first joined the company and began his trainee period. Yet after that, his body quickly became accustomed to the intense practice and hadn't been in such bad shape since.
He sucks in a harsh breath as he gets up from his bed, wincing as he attempts to stretch before giving up, the pain making it difficult to even move. He hunches over and steps into his fuzzy slippers before entering the bathroom quietly to not wake anyone else up.
The boys are in their singing session, practicing in the recording booth when the painful soreness hits with full force. It’s only been two hours since Soobin woke up, but now he could barely move his neck without wanting to groan out loud.
Soobin has a feeling that it's going to be a long day.
+×+
What's worse is that Soobin is really tall. Admittedly, all the boys definitely have height, but with Soobin being the tallest, he’s sort of forced to look down at the rest of the members, and it’s taking a toll on his muscles. But what’s even worse than that is that the staff and their vocal trainer are all much shorter than all the boys, forcing him to look down even more.
Soobin feels really close to crying.
Beomgyu attaches himself to Soobin's back, deciding that he's the perfect wall between him and Taehyun's sharp gaze currently trying to burn holes into Beomgyu. Soobin sharply inhales as he attempts to get away from Beomgyu, but alas, his dongsaeng decides to not take a hint and instead holds on even tighter as if his life depended on it. (Honestly, it probably did considering it is Taehyun we’re talking about here, but that isn’t exactly soothing Soobin's pain, now is it?)
"Gyu, I know you're about to die, but can you please hide behind someone else? Look! Hyuka is right there, use him as your unwilling bodyguard instead," Soobin sighs, gesturing to the maknae who's playing yet another game on his phone.
“Come on hyung, you of all people know that Hyuka might be tall, but he has a backbone of a jellyfish,” Beomgyu argues, peeking out occasionally to find Taehyun still staring daggers into his soul.
“...Jellyfish don’t have spines, Beomgyu.”
“Precisely.”
“Hey, I heard that!” Hueningkai huffs from the couch, and Soobin can’t help but crack a small smile at their antics.
Deciding their shenanigans had gone on long enough, he tries to appease both parties.
“Taehyunnie, instead of looking at him like you’re going to crush all of his dreams into a pulp and eliminate him from the gene pool, please just talk to him. And Gyu, please, for the love I have for bread, just listen to him and don’t mess anything up. I know you’re both young, but I ask that just this once, you guys act your age,” Soobin instructs, a tinge of frustration and impatience coloring his voice.
Beomgyu’s quick defense dies in his throat as Soobin attempts to pry the younger’s fingers off of him. The younger three all look at each other in surprise. Usually, Soobin joined in on their fun, however petty it may be. And even if he was annoyed, he wouldn’t ever show it. But telling them to act their age? That was certainly a first.
"Again! Another round, boys. Beomgyu, move a little faster at this part. Hueningkai, smile more here. Yeonjun, at the chorus, hit the beat harder. Taehyun, keep up your foot work. Soobin, you're much too stiff and it's slowing everyone else down. Pick up the pace and give more impact at your parts. They look lackluster and it barely looks like you're dancing. Stay sharp," their choreographer calls out and Soobin presses his lips together in embarrassment, silently nodding as he feels his ears turn red from the comments.
Beomgyu reluctantly lets go of Soobin and the latter lets out a sigh of relief before walking away, his hands attempting to massage the pain out of his body as the rest of them silently stay back and watch him, still reeling from shock.
+×+
For the entirety of practice, he was being critiqued in one way or the other, whether it be the timing of his moves, or the slip of a note when singing. Every time it happened, he felt his team members' gazes on him but he refused to acknowledge the worried glances they would throw at each other. Normally, when it comes to performance practices, it's only minor comments at most, especially since they have every move down like it's burned into their brains. But Soobin is off his game with the pain in his neck spreading all the way to his shoulders and creeping down his back like poison ivy vines.
The harder Soobin attempts to push past the painful soreness, the more he feels his muscles seizing up and refusing to cooperate with him. The frustration edges into his voice but he shoves it back, throwing his all into yet another mind-numbing round of Can't You See Me?
Soobin knows that if he shows any trace of pain on his face, Yeonjun will notice instantly, and the kids will pick up on it not long after him. He couldn't ruin their practice just because he couldn't deal with some pain, not while it was during their comeback. He couldn't just invalidate all the work they had put in by not having his head in the game; Soobin couldn't do that to the members, to his friends.
Their performance director calls out for them to do another round of Puma and the exhausted boys simply nod, getting into position. Soobin winces as Yeonjun jumps up on his back for what felt like the hundredth time and gasps as his foot rocks right onto a particular pressure point. Soobin feels his knees buckle from the blinding pain and Yeonjun falls almost directly on top of him in surprise, their only saving grace being Hueningkai's quick reflexes half-catching Yeonjun so he doesn't smother Soobin.
The music stops as the staff and his members crowd around him but Soobin fights back the tears in his eyes as he accepts Taehyun's hand and stands up. He’s barely able to reach his full height because of the painful pressure pushing his posture down into an uncomfortable slump.
"Hyung!"
"Soobin-ah!"
"I'm fine everyone! My foot just slipped, that's all, I'm really sorry, please forgive me," Soobin manages a watery smile that seems to reassure the staff, but Beomgyu's hand on the small of his back and Yeonjun's intense stare raking over his face lets Soobin know that his closest friends needed much more convincing.
"I'm okay, guys, really. I wasn't thinking about my position and got there too late, that's why that happened. Hyung, Hyuka, you're both fine, right?" Soobin glances at them both worriedly, afraid that the fall may have hurt them. Well, that, and Soobin desperately wants the attention off of him and if he could pivot the topic (albeit as graceless as can be), he would definitely do it.
Taehyun and Beomgyu both sigh simultaneously behind him as Yeonjun and Hueningkai nod in unison. None of them decide to mention that Soobin just mentioned two extremely differing reasons for the accidental mishap.
“Binnie, are you sure you–”
“I said I’m fine Yeonjun. Just drop it, would you?” Soobin frowns, almost hissing and Yeonjun immediately presses his lips together and nods again, backing away. It was so unlike Soobin to refer to him by his name, oftentimes just sticking to ‘hyung’ or ‘Jjuni-hyung’. Not to mention he rarely lost his cool, especially in front of the younger members.
They get back into their beginning positions and this time, Soobin grits his teeth and squeezes his eyes shut through Yeonjun climbing back on to his back. His knuckles turn white from how hard he's clenching them.
Their choreographer and performance director decide to end practice early after Soobin's falling fiasco, giving them the remainder of the day to rest and unwind before the next performance.
In all honesty, Soobin just wants to go home and take a hot shower to relax his aching muscles before sleeping the evening away, but of course, life is never quite that simple.
+×+
Soobin really wants to believe he can handle the noise, really wants to hold out another 15 minutes because then they'll be home and he can close his eyes and have the world melt away. But he's uncomfortably squished between Taehyun and Hueningkai in the back, one laughing loudly in his left ear while the other's sharp tongue delivers jabs in his right and with the way his neck is awkwardly positioned on the headrest and shooting pain through the rest of his body, Soobin, the ever temperate and kind-hearted leader, snaps.
"Everyone, just the shut the fuck up! What is with you all? Is it so difficult to have just a little peace and quiet at least once in your day?"
The car goes deathly silent and all 4 boys turn to him, blatant shock on their faces, but now Soobin is on a roll and his frustrations he works so hard to keep in come tumbling out.
“I mean it’s like this every day! I wake up and there’s always just someone shouting or yelling and there’s never any time where no one makes a sound and, I don’t know, just fucking exists. There just always needs to be something happening, and I am just so sick and tired of all of it. If you want to talk, then talk quietly. There’s no need to be screaming halfway across the car when you’re literally right next to each other. We all live together and have phones that work perfectly well, you don’t have to speak like it’s your last chance to,” Soobin breathes out, his voice cracking on the last sentence as his mental dam breaks and holds nothing back. It’s off his chest now, but he doesn’t feel any better. The silence permeating the car is suffocating.
Soobin refuses to meet their lingering gazes and shoves his earbuds in his ears before turning his music up to an amount he knows he won't go deaf but might as well be close to it. He closes his eyes with a sigh and a painful wince as the car jostles over a rather bad pothole.
The rest of the members communicate with their eyes and nod before turning back to their phones, the pin-drop silence never being broken.
+×+
“Um, Soobin-hyung, why don’t you shower first today? I’ll go get dinner started with Gyu,” Taehyun says softly, standing at the doorway. His hand grips the doorjamb tightly as he peers up at his hyung, slightly unsure of Soobin’s reaction. Soobin opens his mouth in protest, but the younger shakes his head a bit and Soobin decides to drop the subject. No one could argue with Kang Taehyun once he’s made up his mind.
Taehyun walks away from the room and Soobin immediately grabs his favorite pajamas (a matching couples’ set Yeonjun had bought for their 3-month anniversary– it was so cliche, but hey, Soobin was a diehard fan of platitudes) and heads for the bathroom. Hopefully the heat and steam of the shower would loosen up his tightly coiled up muscles. Soobin thinks that if you were to compare a rock to his back, you wouldn’t be able to differentiate between the two.
Soobin heats up the water and finally relaxes under the warmth of the spray, posture sagging from relief as the water pelts down on him. He quickly washes his hair and spends the remainder of the time leaning against the shower wall tiredly. His muscles are definitely not as tight as before, but they still hurt every time he moves them. God is he stiff. Their choreographer definitely hadn’t been wrong about that.
He finishes washing up and leaves the bathroom, perking up slightly when he smells the food wafting in from the kitchen. Soobin drops his dirty clothes in the hamper before drifting over to their cramped kitchen space to find Taehyun and Beomgyu working on the tteokbokki diligently while Yeonjun and Hueningkai argue over which film to watch in the living room.
“Yah, hyung! Stop getting the sauce everywhere! You’re making a mess,” Taehyun whines, annoyed, and Beomgyu simply laughs, reaching over to smear said sauce on the other’s cheek. Taehyun makes a move to bite his finger and Beomgyu quickly pulls back, but they’re both smiling and Soobin can’t help but grin at how adorable they are.
“It smells really good in here you guys, good job. Didn’t think you could handle it,” Soobin jokes and the younger two immediately fall silent when they look up, mirroring offended looks on their faces as they quickly pull away from each other and hide their hands behind their back. They glance at each other worriedly before turning to face Soobin again.
“Hey, we’ll have you know that we’re MasterChefs in the making, we just choose not to show our abilities sometimes,” Beomgyu half-heartedly defends, biting the inside of his cheek. Taehyun nods in agreement.
“Hah, right, of course…” Soobin trails off, drumming his fingers lightly against the countertop as he tries to think of what to say.
"Besides, I'm good at everything. Gyu-hyung is just my helper," Taehyun pipes up and grins cheekily in an attempt to release the tension in the air. Beomgyu turns on him, picking up on his cue.
"Good at everything? Puh-lease. You're definitely not good at hiding the fact that you have a wholeass Jeongguk fan account. Even Namjoon-hyung knew about it! He literally exposed you. On camera, I might add," Beomgyu fires back.
Soobin shakes his head and laughs as they begin their bickering again (they say he and Yeonjun are bad, but Beomgyu and Taehyun really needed to take a look in the mirror for a change). Sometimes, the two of them really reminded Soobin of an old married couple.
Soobin decides to leave them be and goes out to check on the oldest and youngest fighting in the living room over what to watch.
“Hyung, I’m telling you we should watch Infinity War. It’s Soobin-hyung’s favorite movie and plus, it’s been such a long time since we all sat down and watched an Avengers movie!” Hueningkai exclaims, holding the remote up just an inch out of Yeonjun’s reach.
“But it’s so long! We should watch Parasite instead, none of us have ever even watched it. We’ve all seen Infinity War who knows how many times! I know it’s his favorite movie, but watching Parasite will be an adventure for all of us. And besides, you fall asleep halfway through literally any movie, Kai,” Yeonjun shoots back, finally grabbing the remote out of Hueningkai’s hand and moving away as the younger chases after him.
Soobin rolls his eyes good-naturedly as he holds his hand out to Yeonjun who willingly hands over the remote to him as Hueningkai jumps onto Yeonjun’s back. “This is justice for saying no to Infinity War!” Hueningkai yells as Yeonjun topples over from the maknae’s weight. Yeonjun struggles under him before giving up, glancing up at an amused Soobin.
“Soobin, why don’t you be the one to decide? We don’t want you to watch something you might not be interested in seeing,” Yeonjun remarks tentatively, watching for his reaction as Hueningkai finally gets off of him.
“I have an idea: why don’t we watch a web-drama? I know Bomin recently starred in A-TEEN 2 and all the episodes in the season combined would probably equal up to a movie, if not less,” the leader reasons and the other two look at each other before shrugging and plopping down on either side of him. Soobin bounces from the force of them sitting down on the sofa and the sudden jostling makes him wince– his muscles definitely did not approve.
“Who’s Bomin?” Hueningkai asks and before Soobin responds, Yeonjun is already one step ahead of him. “He was the MC before Soobin, remember? He’s the youngest member of Golden Child,” Yeonjun glances at Soobin for confirmation and the younger nods.
“Sounds good to me.”
“Whatever makes you happy, hyung.”
“Yeah, you’re right. He actually helped me a lot with learning the ropes of being an MC, I definitely owe him. We became good friends and we’re the same age too, so,” Soobin shrugs before realizing that was a very bad idea because his muscles are still incredibly stiff and sore. He grimaces and doesn’t notice Yeonjun catch his expression.
As Soobin begins pulling up the drama, Yeonjun signals to Hueningkai to cuddle with Soobin who does so in a heartbeat. Soobin doesn’t even notice, too preoccupied with what’s on the screen as Kai rushes to his room to grab his plushies and a blanket to envelop themselves with.
Yeonjun heads to the kitchen to help the still-fighting-but-also-giggling couple in bringing dinner out to the living room. He figures them all being around each other would be the best way to end the day and hopefully release some of the stressful burdens he knows Soobin shoulders.
Hueningkai snatches Soobin’s favorite pillow from the elder’s room and places it behind him. He then gets to work on placing his enormous collection of plushies anywhere there’s space. Soobin huffs out an affectionate laugh as the maknae puts his utmost focus into making sure everything is perfect before wrapping the two of them in a soft blanket. He attaches himself to Soobin’s side for what will probably be the remainder of the evening.
“Binnie-hyung?” Hueningkai speaks softly and Soobin nods to him to continue. The youngest fidgets with his fingers, not sure how to continue.
Soobin places his hands over the maknae’s and waits patiently as Hueningkai attempts to gather his thoughts.
Hueningkai sighs, deciding to simply go for it. “I-I know these past few weeks have probably been really stressful for you. I mean becoming an MC, being our leader, promotions, helping us with homework even though you hate math, cooking us dinner… I just wanted you to know that we really appreciate it and it’s okay with us if you ever need a break,” Hueningkai murmurs, looking down at the Molang plushie he’s now holding in his hands. “We’re always here for you hyung. Y-you don’t have to do everything alone. We’re a team, right?
Soobin gently brushes back his dongsaeng’s hair as he speaks and the elder feels like he’s about to spontaneously combust from Hueningkai’s words, heart brimming with fond love for their youngest member. “That’s right, we’re a team Hyuka– for now and forever. How about I make a promise to you? I’ll do my best to not overwork and I’ll come and ask if I think I need some help. Sound good?” Soobin holds out a pinky to seal the promise and Hueningkai enthusiastically accepts, wrapping his own pinky around Soobin’s to secure their pact.
“And I promise on behalf of everyone else that we’ll do our best to support you no matter what and help you in any way possible. I know we don’t always express it, but we love and admire you a lot, hyung. Thank you for everything you do for us,” Hueningkai says with a shy smile and Soobin grins, dimples on full display.
“Aigoo, our maknae is the absolute cutest! I love you all just as much, thank you for always being there for me. Now come here, give me a hug,” Soobin pulls Hueningkai back towards him, dutifully ignoring the soreness of his back. No amount of pain would ever measure up to the love he has for his best friends. He smothers the youngest in a tight hug, one which Hueningkai seems to happily reciprocate.
The other three come back out from the kitchen, precariously balancing all the dishes in their hands as they place them down on the coffee table.
“Ah, our GUMS are back at it again!” Beomgyu jokes and the rest of them laugh as Hueningkai presses himself ever closer to Soobin who willingly lets him in.
They all settle down, blankets and plushies building an alcove of comfort as the five of them munch on their homemade dinner, the soft atmosphere occasionally being punctuated by some comment or the other (usually from Taehyun because of course he could never resist).
They stay like that for the rest of the night, the boys cuddled together and staring at the screen in earnest as they wait in anticipation to see what happens next. Hueningkai is now practically half way into Soobin’s lap and Soobin leans against Yeonjun who’s placed an arm around him, pulling Soobin flush against his chest. Beomgyu and Taehyun are huddled together on the floor, Beomgyu resting his head on Taehyun’s shoulder as the younger wraps a blanket around their bodies.
Soon enough, their binge-watching of the entire web-drama ends and they shake themselves out of their stupor, animatedly discussing the ending of the series as they begin cleaning up the now extremely messy living room. Soobin starts grabbing their plates to go and wash them, but Taehyun pulls them out of his hands.
Surprised, he looks up at Taehyun to once again voice his protest, but Beomgyu gently butts in before he has a chance to speak his thoughts. “It’s okay hyung, we can do it tonight. You must be tired from all the work you’ve been doing,” Beomgyu offers him a lopsided smile and Soobin just nods, opting to sit down on the couch and back into his boyfriend’s waiting arms. Usually, everyone would just play rock, paper, scissors and loser had to wash the dishes, but it seems as though Taehyun and Beomgyu have it covered.
They’re acting their age, he realizes in a slight panic and quickly stands up, eliciting a whine from Yeonjun. “I’ll be right back, I promise,” Soobin reassures and leaves the other two in the living room to help clean up Hueningkai’s vast mountain of adorable plushies.
“Hey guys?” Soobin enters the kitchen to find Beomgyu and Taehyun washing the dishes meticulously and they both look up at him at the same time, wide-eyed. If this were any other situation, Soobin would laugh, but as of now, all he could feel was a coil of discomfort tightening in his stomach.
He lets out a breath, leaning against the wall as he takes a moment to gather his thoughts. “I just wanted to apologize for earlier today. Both in the vocal room and in the car. I shouldn’t have told you to act your age or just to shut up like that; it was way out of line and not cool for me to do that. I know you both know how to act appropriately when needed and I guess I was just frustrated, but that’s not an excuse for how I acted. I’m really sorry,” Soobin finishes, casting a worried glance from one face to another.
Beomgyu smiles as Taehyun speaks up. “It’s okay, Soobin-hyung. Honestly, we already forgot about it. Don’t worry too much, alright?” Taehyun didn’t have to say much for Soobin to grasp the underlying message and the elder smiles at them gratefully before leaving, the burden on his shoulders lighter.
He returns to the living room to find Yeonjun sitting alone and scrolling through his phone.
“Hyuka went to sleep early. Said he has an important test tomorrow at school,” Yeonjun answers Soobin’s question before it even exits his mouth and he smiles yet again at how well the eldest knows him.
Soobin settles back against Yeonjun and his boyfriend wraps his arms around his waist to pull Soobin closer to him. “You doing okay Binnie?” Yeonjun murmurs into his fairy-blue hair and the younger sighs, hands coming up to intertwine Yeonjun’s hands with his own.
“Do you want the really truthful answer or the watered down answer?”
Yeonjun frowns and takes their intertwined hands up to his pouty mouth, gently pressing a soft kiss to it. “Lay it all out for me, baby,” He answers instead, inviting Soobin to just speak his mind.
Soobin pauses before nodding, following Yeonjun’s instruction. “I… okay first, please don’t laugh at me, I know I’m going to sound kind of dumb,” he mutters and Yeonjun huffs out a fond laugh before dropping a kiss onto Soobin’s head.
“I solemnly swear to not laugh,” he says dramatically and Soobin cracks a small smile at his playful antics.
He takes a deep breath and begins to speak. “When I woke up this morning, my neck was really sore. And extremely stiff. It’s been hurting like crazy and last time I felt pain like this was back during our trainee period because my body wasn’t used to all the exercise,” Soobin blinks back tears as Yeonjun untangles their hands to start pressing Soobin’s shoulders, silently urging him to continue.
“As the day went on, the pain spread from my neck to my shoulders and then down my back. That’s… that’s why I collapsed during practice today. Your foot had accidentally rolled straight into the muscle that was hurting the most and I wasn’t expecting it, so I fell from the pain. And as more time passed, I just kept getting more and more frustrated because I was so stiff but everything hurt so much hyung, and–” Soobin abruptly stops, afraid that the water welling up in his eyes was about to spill. Yeonjun comfortingly starts rubbing his muscles, gently massaging the tight knots to relieve the tension wound up in them.
“And that’s why I just snapped in the car today. I didn’t mean to, but it all became so much and I was just so tired. Tired from promotions, from practice, from this stupid stupid pain–” Yeonjun cuts him off, pressing his lips to Soobin’s in an effort to calm him down. Soobin lets him.
When they break apart, Soobin continues, feeling a bit better. “I know it’s dumb to be so annoyed because it’s just some pain and it shouldn’t be stopping me, but I just… I’m just really tired Jjuni. Really really tired, and I kind of want a break. But I can’t. I can’t take a break because there’s almost so much to do, so much to improve on, and I don’t want to be the one slowing us all down because I can’t handle a little bit of hurt,” he ends on a whisper, and Yeonjun stays silent, processing the information before responding. Soobin feels like he can breathe again after finally getting his swirling thoughts out of his mind.
“Bin, it’s not dumb or stupid. You have responsibilities, more so as our leader, and you take them seriously. I see how you always put your best effort into everything you do, and I admire you for it because I know that I don’t think I would be able to handle the same pressure. I don’t think any of us could. Nonetheless, it’s not healthy for you to bottle all your worries and stress up inside of you because then you’ll just explode, like what happened in the car,” Yeonjun chooses his words carefully as he continues to work on the knots in Soobin’s muscles, slowly but surely unraveling them.
“As for your pain, Soobinnie, you could’ve told us. I promise you’re not slowing anyone down. Breaks are sometimes needed and our bodies have a limit. Today, you hit yours, and that’s perfectly okay. It’s alright to just take a day off and have a breather, especially if your body is in so much pain,” Yeonjun advises, reaching over to kiss Soobin’s cheek. “If you had gotten seriously hurt, I don’t know what I would’ve done. We got off lucky today,” Yeonjun murmurs and Soobin hums in understanding.
Yeonjun sighs, caging Soobin in his arms and snuggling in next to him. “Take time for yourself Soobin. We’re always going to be here with you and you can always always count on us. Every member’s health takes priority every single time, and you’re a member of our group. Remember that,” he finishes and Soobin turns around to hug him tightly.
The elder coos softly and hugs him back. “Thanks hyung. I love you a lot,” Soobin mumbles, voice muffled, and Yeonjun laughs. “Anytime, baby, anytime. I love you too. Now, I have an idea to help relieve some of your pain, do you wanna try it?” Soobin nods into his shirt and Yeonjun separates from the hug.
“Hang on, I’ll be right back Binnie.”
Yeonjun walks away to find whatever he thought could help his boyfriend and Soobin sighs into the couch, mulling over his words. He’s right. If it were him, or anyone else for that matter, I would’ve been just as worried, Soobin realizes. Sometimes, it’s better to get out of your head and just ask for some help. Help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who ask for it, his brain helpfully supplies and Soobin laughs. Professor Dumbledore really hit it on the head with that one.
“Found it! I brought a heating pad and the cold ice packs,” Yeonjun holds up the two things proudly and Soobin stares at him, confused. “Those are two very opposite things, hyung. How are they supposed to help?”
Yeonjun grins as he sits down and plugs the heating pad in. “This is what I call the hot ‘n cold treatment. Basically, you apply heat to the affected area for ten minutes and then immediately switch to applying something really cold to the same place. This forces the muscles to expand and contract, and that in turn actually loosens the muscles and can make a lot of the soreness and stiffness go away,” Yeonjun explains with a beaming smile as he places the heating pad on Soobin's shoulders.
After doing so, the elder immediately goes back to his original position of cuddling Soobin from behind and caging him in a backhug. “Don’t worry Soobin, I got you.”
Soobin smiles and leans up to kiss him as a gesture of thanks, something Yeonjun happily accepts. They snuggle together for the rest of the evening, talking the night away until eventually Soobin is about to fall asleep in his boyfriend’s arms.
“Okay Soobin, come on. Let’s get you to your bed otherwise your neck is going to hurt way more tomorrow morning than it did today,” Yeonjun says, grunting as he attempts to pull his extremely tall boyfriend up and drag him to his room. Soobin refuses to budge and Yeonjun sighs, looking around for something to help him. He lights up when he finds what he’s looking for and shoves it into Soobin’s arms. Soobin begrudgingly stands up and they stumble tiredly to his room together.
“Love you, Bin,” Yeonjun murmurs after pulling the covers over him. He presses a soft kiss to Soobin’s head before turning off the lights and closing the door.
Soobin smiles drowsily at Hueningkai’s forgotten plushie nestled in his arms and falls asleep to the lingering scent of tteokbokki.

a/n: --> about the fic!
- i pretty much feverishly wrote this fic after not writing ff in 2 years, so please do let me know if you enjoyed it (or not), i would really appreciate any and all feedback! ^_^
- the pain soobin goes through has actually happened to me, so everything he feels comes straight from my own experience. the advice yeonjun gives him at the end using the heating pad and freezer pack genuinely does work, and it was the remedy that really helped relieve my pain and lessened the stiffness and soreness. if you're going through intense sore/stiff muscle pain, i highly recommend it!!
- this fic actually started out to solely be a yeonbin sickfic, but as i began writing, i realized bringing in all of the members would enhance the fic and make probably make it a lot better. i did my best to stick to txt's dynamic as well as each individual member, but this is a work of fiction and purely based off of my own thoughts. it is no way affiliated with txt or its members!
- the title is from one of my favorite hindi songs, agar tum saath ho. it roughly translates to "if you are with me." i've linked a video with english translations in case you would like to take a listen! but my inspiration was just old hindi songs that i grew up listening to lol
- lastly, a BIG thank you to my best friend for being my beta, helping this fic come to fruition, and for being my motivation in writing this. it really means a lot to me. if you would like to check out her work, click mjin_yun!

The Company Dinner - Hoseok X BTS Littlespace Drabble
Tumblr media
(my gif, feel free to use :))
“anonymous  asked:
I know you just did a smut with hobi so I completely understand if you don't want to do this! But what I had on my mind was hobi and the rest as his caregivers, main one whoever! But he doesn't want to eat his food, so acts bratty maybe breaks a dish, throwing it at someone maybe? But there at a public restaurant so hobi has to sit scared for what to come when they get home, it can be smut too!”
A/N: Thank you so much for requesting! Requests always give me some inspiration when writing these so it’s very much appreciated :)
I changed this into a kind of hurt/comfort fic and there is NO SMUT in it this time. I hope this is still okay :)

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
It wasn’t often that BigHit Entertainment held company dinners - it was pretty much unheard of, really. Namjoon and Yoongi could recall one dinner with people from the company back in 2010, but it was far from a professional setup as they only went to the pizza joint down the street for their meal, and only seven or eight people had even been there.
Yeah...company dinner’s didn’t really happen.
Until, for some reason or another, whether it be the growing number of company members and subsequently, staff, or the growing income, Bang PD decided it was finally time for a proper sit down meal at a nice restaurant.
So, there the seven members of BTS were, sat in a large dining hall within an expensive Italian style restaurant. It had been rented out for the evening, as per the CEO’s requests, and was now filled with dozens of familiar faces. Looking around, Jungkook estimated that there were probably close to a hundred people there, all in good spirits and eating whilst chatting with each other.
BTS were sat at their own table, right next to the company’s younger group, TXT. The boys were still a little shy in greeting their sunbaes despite the other members having told them to treat them as friends. They knew they only needed time until they got to that point.
Jin had had to stop the two youngest of his group from rampaging the large buffet the second they’d arrived, and after some small talk and gentle conversations, they were finally allowed to eat.
Both the eldest hyung and Jimin looked on with mild disgust as Taehyung and Jungkook shoved their faces full of food from their overfilled plates, barely taking a second to allow themselves to breathe between bites.
“Well, I doubt they’re going to be doing any mingling tonight,” Namjoon sighed.
“Definitely not,” Yoongi agreed, “All that food is gonna knock them right out.”
Jimin eyed them longingly, “They’ll be off in their own world for at least three hours.”
Honestly, after a long day in the practice room, the last thing any of them wanted to do was mingle, even if it was with their pleasant co-workers. They were tired, and while they all kind of wished they could get out of it like the maknaes had, they also knew it would be rude for all of the BTS members to keep to themselves all night.
“Alright, I’m going to go...talk, I guess.” Namjoon looked at them. “I encourage you to join me, but I also don’t want you guys to push yourselves too much, okay?”
The others - save Tae and Kookie, who were already falling into their predicted food comas - gave their hums and nods of agreement before the leader walked off. Jimin followed not far behind him.
The rest of them had small plates of food for now, opting to just nibble throughout the night. Yoongi turned to Hoseok when he heard the younger huffing, obviously a little irritated. He found the dance leader wearing a prominent pout on his lips and slouching in his seat as he stared at his plate.
“Hey,” the eldest rapper began softly, “Don’t worry about talking to anyone tonight, Hoseok-ah. Just stay with the maknaes. I know you’re still frustrated about earlier.”
Earlier.
Earlier, meaning back in the practice room where Hoseok - for one reason or another - could not get the steps of their new choreography down. Usually, he was the one to learn the fastest and to help the others in turn learn the dance. Today, however, Jimin and Jungkook had to help him out. They were totally willing and didn’t treat their hyung any differently than they normally would, though he didn’t miss the glances of concern they, along with the others, sent his way.
As six’clock rolled around and they were let out early for the day (thanks to the company dinner) he had most of the dance down. Still, Hoseok couldn’t help but feel like he failed. What the hell was wrong with him? Did he suddenly lose all those years of intense dance training? Everyone had bad days, sure, but to be affected so much...that had to be somehow his fault...right?
Hoseok sniffled pitifully, “Thank you, hyungie. S-Seokie sorry...”
Yoongi turned fully towards him immediately, no panic in his eyes, just the gentle dominance of a caregiver. “Oh, baby, you must be feeling pretty bad if you slipped.”
Hoseok nodded and wished they weren’t in public so he could get a hug from his Yoonie-hyungie.
Jin stood up from the table, drink in hand, and got ready to follow Namjoon and Jimin. “Seokie, love,” he said as he leaned a bit closer to the little, “We need you to be good for just two more hours and then we can take you home and cuddle, alright?”
“M’kay,” Hobi replied.
Seokjin gave him a smile and ruffled his hair gently with his free hand before he wandered off into the crowd as well.
“Hobi, sweetheart,” Yoongi said, “Will you be okay with Taehyungie and Jungkookie while I go talk for a bit?”
Hoseok looked a little hesitant, but Taehyung spoke up before he could answer. “We can talk about anything you’d like, or you can play on my phone.”
The little was easily persuaded by the prospect of getting to play a game. “Okay, Seokie will stay with TaeTae-hyungie and Kookie-hyungie.”
Yoongi, praying that no one was watching them at that moment, gave a quick peck to the little’s forehead. “That’s my good boy.”
With Taehyung and Jungkook’s warm presence, the next hour passed by pretty fast for Hoseok. He was tapping away at Taehyung’s phone, in the middle of a game when he was interrupted by his stomach making a big growling noise.
“Someone must be hungry,” Jungkook commented, scooping up Big Hobi’s plate of food to dispose of it. “I’ll go grab a plate of little-approved food.”
When he returned, he had a plate with chicken bites (not quite tenders, but they had to make do) some kind of fancy version of mac’n’cheese, and some carrot sticks. Considering it was a fairly upscale Italian restaurant, this was the best he could find. Jungkook set the plate on the table in front of the little, and set down a glass of apple juice with it.
While it looked pretty promising, it only took a few bites for Hoseok to realize that he really didn’t like this yucky food. He put down his fork with an angry pout. Why couldn’t this day just be over? Why did they have to go out tonight at all when Hobi really just wanted cuddles from his hyungies and his duck plushie, Quackers, tucked into his arms.
Taehyung saw the fork set down on the table and said, “Hobi, honey, eat some more of your dinner, please.”
The anger his big side was dealing with seemed to add fuel to the fire that was the beginnings of a tantrum.
The little grit his teeth and answered harshly, “No.”
Both maknaes paused and turned to look at him. “Sweetie,” Jungkook began, “I know it’s not exactly like what you have at home, but-”
“It’s yucky!” Hoseok exclaimed, a little too loudly. Thankfully, it didn’t seem as if anyone noticed. “Don’t want it!”
“It’s really not that bad, love,” Taehyung said, trying to keep the little calm. He took a bite of the chicken and mac’n’cheese with his own fork and gave an approving hum once he finished. “I promise, if you eat eight more bites of this, we’ll make you whatever you want for breakfast tomorrow.”
“No, no, no!” Hoseok shouted, his voice rising as his anger grew. “Seokie said he don’t want the yucky food!”
The little punctuated his outburst by slamming his right hand onto the table. What he hadn’t anticipated, was that his hand would hit the side of the plate harshly enough to flip it and send all the food on it into Taehyung’s lap.
The world around them suddenly seemed to fall silent, though the others at the party seemed oblivious to what was going on at BTS’ table. Taehyung had frozen, shutting his eyes and sighing. Hoseok was frozen as well, completely shell-shocked with his wide eyes and mouth hanging open. Jungkook, who was sat on the little’s other side, recovered from the shock of it all first. He was the one that reached over to pick up the plate and set it right side up back on the table.
“S-Sorry,” came the little’s whimper. “S-Seokie sorry, TaeTae-hyungie. H-He didn’t m-mean to. He didn’t mean to!”
Taehyung hushed him softly, finally taking in a deep breath and turning to look Hobi in the eyes. “I believe that you didn’t mean to make the food fall on me. But you have been acting up and because of one of your tantrums, it did happen.”
“Seokie is sorry,” he replied solemnly. Now that the haze of anger was gone from his mind, he could understand that what he did and the way he’d been acting up all night was wrong. He was taking a bad day for himself and turning it into an even worse one.
Jungkook grabbed his midnight blue suit jacket that had been hanging over the back of his chair and handed it to Taehyung carefully. “Go clean yourself up a bit, hyung. Then, put this on to cover whatever stains you can’t get out here.”
The two maknaes locked eyes and Taehyung gave a small smile. He accepted the jacket from Jungkook and gave him a fond flick under the chin before he headed off to find the washrooms.
Jungkook sat back down next to Hoseok, who was staring at the floor and trying to cry as silently as possible. The little shake in his shoulders gave him away, though.
“Hoseokie,” the maknae began with a gentle tone, “We’ll all talk about your behavior later but I can tell that you already feel bad about it.”
The little nodded shamefully, “Seokie sorry.”
After finally taking a glance around and confirming that no one was giving them any odd looks, Jungkook turned back to Hoseok and bit his lip. He wanted so badly to just scoop the little up in his arms and coddle him, but he’d been bad.
“Seokie-ah,” the maknae said, voice somehow both soft and firm. “Sit here while I go get you some more food. I’ll ask you once, is there anything you want in particular?”
Hoseok sniffled and rubbed at his eye with a closed fist, “Seokie will eat the mac’n’cheese.”
“Okay,” Jungkook replied, giving in to the urge to ruffle the little’s hair. “I’ll be right back.”
Hoseok didn’t make a single peep as he ate his food, complaints from earlier washed away by guilt. Once he actually had another bite of it, he found that it really wasn’t that bad.
Jimin returned to the table just as the little was finishing up his last bite. The eldest of the maknae line paused as he gauged the aura around his two band mates. “What happened?” he inquired.
“We had a little bit of trouble from Hoseokie, but he knows what he’s done wrong,” Jungkook replied with a sad kind of smile.
Jimin’s eyebrows furrowed and he turned to the little in question, but Hoseok didn’t dare look up from his lap. “Okay, well, I guess it makes more sense for me to wait to hear about it. No need to make him tell the story a hundred times.”
It was at that moment that Taehyung approached the table, back from the washroom. He had a small cloth bag with the restaurant logo on the front that he must have asked for to put his dirtied clothes in. He’d changed out of his shirt and blazer completely, leaving him in only Jungkook’s buttoned-up suit jacket and damp slacks. Jimin was probably more confused about the situation as his fellow ninety-five liner returned, but he thankfully didn’t ask any questions.
Hoseok let out a little whine and squirmed around in his seat as the second youngest returned to his spot next to him. “Seokie really, really, really sorry, TaeTae-hyungie. The most sorry ever.” he apologized, his voice quiet so only Taehyung could hear him.
Taehyung smiled gently and leaned in closer to reply. “I’m glad to hear that you’re sorry, love.” The pet name slipped out before he could stop it. “And I forgive you, but you still will get a punishment when we get home, okay?”
“Okay,” the little nodded, “As long as TaeTae-hyungie doesn’t hate Seokie, he will take punishment.”
“Oh, baby,” Shit, another pet name. Thank god Seokjin and Namjoon weren’t around, otherwise Taehyung would be in trouble. He pushed that thought to the back of his mind and reached out to give Hobi a quick kiss on the hair. “I could never hate you. Hyungies could never hate you.”
Reassured for the moment, Hoseok tried his best to stay quiet and behave as the company dinner continued around them.
----------------------------------------------------
Later that night, all the members gathered in the living room and discussed the events that had taken place with Hobi and the maknaes. The little felt the familiar wave of shame go over him when Namjoon, Yoongi, Seokjin and Jimin all looked at him with disappointment in their eyes.
Thankfully, Taehyung and Jungkook explained that their little had been very apologetic immediately after it happened, so he shouldn’t be punished too harshly. Besides, Hoseok had been forced to sit quietly at the dinner for two whole hours with only a few words from the maknae line as a reprieve from his own thoughts. Just like a timeout, the little had the time to really think about his behavior.
It was settled that Hoseok would receive ten spanks over his underwear as punishment.
So now Hobi was in their massive, shared bedroom with all of his caregivers surrounding him. The little was splayed out on his stomach over Yoongi’s thin legs in only his boxers. Hoseok’s own legs were sprawled over Namjoon and his head was pillowed in Seokjin’s lap as the two were sat on either side of Yoongi. Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin stood next to the bed and watched on carefully.
All the eyes on him made the little squirm until he felt a firm hand on the back of his neck. “No moving,” Seokjin said firmly.
“Y-Yes, hyungie,” Hoseok replied.
“You’re going to be good and count the spanks,” Yoongi ordered. The second oldest didn’t give him any more warning before a hard slap rang through the otherwise silent room.
The little let out a mewl and stuttered, “One.”
Yoongi had always been the type to get a punishment over with as quickly as safely possible, and now wasn’t any different. The next few spanks were fast and sharp, barely giving Hoseok a moment to register the sting and blurt out the number before another came down.
“F-F-Five!”
The eldest rapper paused and ran his hand softly over the younger’s shirt covered back. “You’re halfway done, Hoseok-ah. I’ll finish quickly.”
The final five slaps were just as Yoongi had promised - quick. Hoseok was gasping out his numbers and he was probably squirming again, but no one stopped him. They could all see that he was doing his best, and that was all that mattered to them.
“Ten! Ten!”
The second that the final number was called out, Yoongi maneuvered the little to sit properly in his lap, Seokjin and Namjoon both rubbing their hands along Hoseok’s back in an attempt to placate him.
“All done, baby,” Yoongi crooned, pressing kisses to the little’s tear-stained cheeks.
“You did so well for hyungs,” Namjoon added.
“Hoseokie is sorry,” the little whimpered, still coming down from his punishment and the even more submissive headspace said punishment had put him in.
Jin cooed and ran his hand through Hoseok’s hair, “We know, sweetheart. You’re forgiven.”
The little nodded, his tense shoulders beginning to relax with the reassurance. Then Hoseok looked up and searched around the room for the one person he was looking for. When his teary eyes locked on Taehyung, he held his arms up and made grabby-hands in his direction.
Taehyung was at his side in a moment, the hyungs moving out of the way so he could pick Hoseok up in his arms and hold him tightly.
“Seokie sorry, TaeTae-hyungie,” he murmured into the other’s warm neck.
“Thank you, love,” he replied, pressing a kiss to the little’s cheek. “No more apologizing now, okay?”
Hoseok hummed in agreement, his eyes fluttering closed as his head rested on the other’s shoulder. The night’s roller coaster of emotions really tired him out. “Can Seokie have cuddles from hyungies?”
The six of them glanced at each other before nodding in mutual agreement.
Ten minutes later found all seven of them in a pile of tangled limbs on the large bed, Hoseok intertwined right in the center of it all. Just where he wanted to be.
“Night night, hyungies,” the little said as he cuddled closer into Jimin’s chest.
“Good night, lovely.”
“Night, Seokie.”
“Love you lots, baby.”
“Don’t let the sharks bite.”
“Taehyung, that doesn’t even make sense!”
“Shh!”
Hoseok let a little giggle before snuggling further into the warm mess and arms, legs, and blankets and falling into a comfortable sleep.

A/N: Two spanking fics in a row and both times Hoseok is the one getting spanked. I’ll change it up in the future but I hope you enjoyed the story!

yeonjun: words on wrist
Tumblr media
having words tattooed on your wrist from the moment your born may seem weird but when the world works around the soulmate program, it begins to make more sense. to make life a little more interesting, the words are not the first thing your soulmate says to you, just a phrase that one day will leave their lips.
“i can not believe you’re friends with someone so annoying.” yn said as she sat down next to her little brother, huening kai.
“he’s not that bad. why do you hate him so much?” he poured himself some orange juice.
“well let’s start with this morning. one, i wasn’t told he’d be sleeping over so imagine my surprise when i come out of my room and see him in the hallway.” huening kai had a sheepish smile on his face. “second, after a horrible conversation, i tried to go to the bathroom and guess who just had to go at that exact moment?!”
“yeonjun?”
“yeonjun!”
“yes honey?” speaking of the devil, he walked into their kitchen and smiled at yn who gave him an eye roll as a response.
“did you fall in the toilet? or do you always take that long in the bathroom?”
“it takes time to look this good.” huening kai laughed as his sister stood up to go to the bathroom.
yeonjun sat down after grabbing some food for himself. “are you ever gonna tell her?” the younger boy questioned. “that you guys are soulmates?”
“nah, when the time comes it’ll come. i wish she wouldn’t hide her wrist all the damn time. that way i could plan the perfect time to say what i have to say.” huening kai shook his head at his friends antics.
“hey yn,” she had just come back and she regretted not going straight to her room. “do you think when fish talk, it gets carried in bubbles?” her eyes grew wide which caused both yeonjun and huening kai to look at her weird.
“no! god, why!! it can’t be you. why did you say that?!? oh my god.” she yelled touching her wrist. when your soulmate says the words, a stinging sensation occurs as the words disappear, just in case you needed more reassurance.
yeonjun laughed,” that’s what was on your wrist? wow i expected to be able to play this game at least a little bit longer.”
“wait... you knew? why did you keep it a secret?”
“you’re cute when you’re annoyed.” he shrugged his shoulders.
“huening kai?” he looked up at her,” why don’t you look surprised?”
he looked at the floor,” well you see... i was there when yeonjun found out you were his soulmate. it was at my birthday party.”
“you knew for almost a year!?” she yelled going up to yeonjun.
“i’m gonna leave you two alone.” huening kai said leaving the room quickly.
yeonjun smiled at her,” yes honey. ‘you make a better wall than a window’, with a saying like that i thought my soulmate was gonna be 60 or something.”
“god you are so infuriating! what did i do to get paired up with the one person who never knows how to-“ she was cut off by him pulling her into a kiss. she relaxed into his touch, no matter how much she didn’t want to. when they pulled away he smiled at her, looking at her with love in his eyes. she realized he always did, from the moment they met.
“shut up? i could say the same about you.” she rolled her eyes and hit his arm weakly.
“just because we’re soulmates doesn’t change the fact you’re the most annoying person i’ve ever met.”
he laughed, “well get used to it honey. i’m gonna annoy you for the rest of our lives.”
soobin: thoughts
Tumblr media
your thoughts are supposed to be something sacred, something personal, something no one could possibly hear. but from the moment you turn 18, your thoughts are not just yours but your soulmates as well.
“i am not ready for this math quiz at all.” your friend mumbled to you as she sat down.
“math quiz? we have a quiz? please say sike.” you groaned into your hands.
“did you forget?” she sighed as she pulled out her calculator.
“no! i just want to die for no reason!” your teacher started passing out the tests and you saw your grade falling before your eyes.
“good luck.” your friend muttered to you.
you looked at the test, you got this.
okay number one, number one, numberrrrr oneeee. okay let’s just skip to the next one, number two any easier? nope! okay uh how about three. four? oh my god i’m gonna fail.
what test form do you have?
what? who is that? how are you in my head? wait are you my soulmate?
no you just have a random person in your head that totally isn’t your soulmate. are you gonna answer my question?
form b, why does that matter?
number one is c. i had that class last period.
wait, what? you’re in my school? how do you know that?
i’ve been 18 since december, i’ve had your thoughts in my head for a while. do you really think mr. kim is hot? gross.
you blushed, trying to focus on the test.
happy birthday by the way, also number 10 is b. that’s the hardest one on the test.
you left your math class feeling flustered, not only because you just failed the test.
wait... if you turned 18 in december that means you’ve been hearing my thoughts for 5 months?
wow you can do math
i’m gonna ignore that. do you know who i am?
no, all i know is your undying love for mr.kim. again, gross
she blushed again as she went to her piano class.
will you tell me your name?
what’s the fun in that?
she rolled her eyes with a smile on her face.
okay... how about you give me hints?
hm fine. i’m tall
yes because no one but one person is tall in this school
feisty. i’m usually with four of my best friends
names?
yeonjun, beomgyu, taehyun, and huening kai
i literally do not know any of those people
not surprised, we lay kind of low
how about we just meet during lunch? do you know the old music room?
yeah i do
see you there soulmate
when lunch rolled by, she was basically jumping in her spot in line. she grabbed some food and hurried out of the busy lunchroom. she didn’t notice the group of boys smiling at her as she went.
“wow... she’s cute. soobin got lucky,” beomgyu commented as the door closed behind her. the other boys nodded as they ate their lunch.
she took a deep breath, opening the door to the lunchroom.
“soulmate... hi.” she locked eyes with a pair of warm brown eyes. “i’m soobin.” he smiled and she felt her heart flutter.
“yn.”
beomgyu: hair color strands
Tumblr media
when the new way to find your soulmate was revealed, hair dye was sold out in stores across the country. companies tried to come out with unique colors, the normal reds, browns, and blondes no longer being sold. no matter what color you dye your hair, a small piece of your hair will always match your soulmates. and as long as they keep changing their hair color, the strand does too.
yn looked in the mirror, the strand of hair that links her to her soulmate changing again.
“this kid is going to go bald by the time i meet them.” she said as she picked the now grey strand. she picked a strand of her natural brown hair. her mother said she wasn’t allowed to dye her hair until she was 16. and unfortunately for her, that wasn’t for another month.
she walked downstairs for lunch, texting her friend taehyun as she went.
“they dyed their hair again?” her mother asked, staring at her daughter’s soulmate link. she nodded her head.
“yeah, is it okay if i go hang out with taehyun today?”
“yes of course. i really like that boy. he doesn’t follow the trend to kill your hair like the rest of your generation, sad he isn’t your soulmate.” you stayed silent as you ate your food.
for some reason, her mother was highly agaisnt the dying of ones hair. in her time, her soulmate link was the time clock in one’s wrist, counting down till the day the two meet. it took two years of begging for yn to finally convince her to dye her hair and next month, it’ll finally happen.
“he’s here! bye mom!” she kissed her cheek and rushed out to taehyun’s car.
“nice strand.” he laughed as he drove out of her street.
“thanks,” she laughed and plugged her phone into the aux, playing her music. “what are we gonna do today?”
“i’m actually going to dye my hair today.” she laughed right away and taehyun frowned. “it’s not funny!”
“it is when my mom spent the morning gushing about how ‘you aren’t like everyone else in our generation’”.
“she said that? maybe i shouldn’t do it then... i don’t know beomgyu said i should.”
“who’s beomgyu?” she questioned as they stopped at the local shopping center.
“he’s my friend from my music class. he dyes his hair a lot, he said he’d do it for me. i was actually wondering if you’d come with me? i don’t want to be alone.”
“of course i’ll come, but you’re dying your hair not getting married.” she laughed and he rolled his eyes as they stopped at the hair dye.
“what color should i get? do you think blue suits me? no right. what about red? no, everyone has red. pink? what if i match it to my strand?”
“why would you do that?” she looked at the strand in his hair, it was a bright pink color.
“i don’t know, i’m stressed.” she laughed at him. “what if you just bleach it? go blonde? no one is blonde anymore.”
he nodded his head,” you’re right. let me call beomgyu and ask if he has bleach. do you want to grab some snacks?” she went to the snack aisle and grabbed anything she could carry.
“okay he has ble- wow.” taehyun laughed,” need help?”
“yes please,” he grabbed a couple bags out of her hand.
“hey what if i buy your hair dye? early birthday present?”
“really? okay!” she rushed back to the hairdye and grabbed the pink one she eyeing.
“wow, you’ve really thought about this.”
“yup! now let’s go pay.”
they got out of the car with the bags in their hands, taehyun knocked on the door and a boy with brown hair and warm eyes opened.
“taehyun! taehyun’s friend! come in!” they walked in and set their stuff on the table.
“ooo pretty,” the boy picked up yn’s soulmate link. “that looks like beomgyu hyung’s hair color.”
“what?” both taehyun and yn said.
“hey, you ready?” a boy, beomgyu she assumed, walked out. she looked at his hair and then to the strand that the boy held in his hand.
“you dyed your hair.” taehyun said in the silence but yn and beomgyu‘s eyes never left each other’s.
“beomgyu,” he whispered.
“yn.”
“hey this is cute and all and no offense to you, but she has brown hair. a lot of people have brown hair.” one of the boys on the couch said.
“we bought pink hair dye, what if we dye her hair?” taehyun asked. “are you crazy? my mom would kill me!” she turned to look at her best friend, finally looking away from beomgyu.
“it’s the only way to know for sure.” and that’s how 4 and a half hours later, she stood in front of her mom. her brown hair long gone, now a light pink color with a strand of grey, holding hands with the boy that dyed her hair. his never changing brown strand now matching her new color perfectly.

hi i see that you've been to a couple bts concerts! can you describe what it was like seeing them irl? and what the process was like the day of? thank you so much ^0^
hi love! thx so much for ur patience, sorry i wasn’t on all day yesterday to answer u! i’m going to walk u thru everything i can remember about each concert, so i’m putting it under a break bc it gets long!
bts love yourself in LA 2018: A  M E S S! this was my first bts concert and also my first big concert outside of my own city (vancouver) so idk if staples centre was just incredibly disorganized or if this was the normal concert experience LOL and sorry if i come off as judgy but ngl it was was a very unpleasant up to the point of the actual show bc a lot of the fans (plus their parents??!!!) were so hostile LMAO
my friend and i had GA floor tickets. a lot of ppl who had GA camped outside the venue for days straight leading up to the concert, and even tho the venue said they didn’t allow camping and wouldn’t hold the campers’ place in line, they went back on their word and did anyway (which in retrospect i don’t blame them bc i think the campers would’ve started an all out war if the venue actually followed thru on that rule). so early morning on the day of (7-8am) the venue staff numbered the campers’ hands with sharpies so that it would count as their position in line, but when everyone lined up to get their wristbands for GA, not everyone in that lineup had camped so a lot (not all) of the campers got rly aggressive and wanted to check everyone’s hands. if they found someone without a number they’d bully that person to leave the lineup and go to the end. a lot of those aggressors were like young teenagers and their parents either came to keep them company as they lined up or they were attending the concerts themselves, and some of those parents would assist their child in harassing other ppl and then played victim when the news crew came around which was w i l d to me. but i think that behaviour was eventually curbed bc a lot of other ppl in line like spoke back and stood up against their hostility. oh also! while in this lineup, several black range rovers in a row drove past us and into the venue, so we were pretty sure the boys were in those cars.
anyway, that lineup was to get into a section of venue to get official wristbands that would hold ur position in line for GA later at the concert. this took a few hours. but at the same time (a little later in the morning ~10-11am) the lineup for merch opened up elsewhere a the venue and if i remember correctly, things sold out rly quick. i luckily had other friends attending the concert, but they had seated tickets so didn’t have to line up for GA wristbands like me, so they were able to line up and get merch for us. once GA ppl got their wristbands, we were free to go and were to return to the venue 1-2 hrs before the concert start, unless u won soundcheck then you’d be let in sometime in the afternoon to see the boys. u were also able to stick around and line up for the photobooth but we were exhausted from everything so we left.
it was a pleasant experience after that. we went home and took a nap and hydrated and got ready for the concert LOL in the evening when GA ppl came back to line up for the show, our wristbands were numbered as our position in line so we ordered ourselves with the help of the staff and waited in line outside the venue for a couple hrs. we weren’t allowed to bring in anything more than a small bag. everyone around us was nice, a lot of ppl were handing out free merch that they made! then we were let in one at a time with a security check at the door, and after that we’d rush into the arena to secure a good view. i was around #~250 and still i stood like 2nd row from the extended stage. it was an amazing view when the boys were on the extended stage, bc they were a couple arms length away and we were in the splash zone when yoongi tossed his water bottle around during tear. i also remember jimin being super interactive and flirty with the fans around the extended stage too. but i will say it’s impossible to see anything when they’re on the mainstage (esp when ur short like me), so i was watching them from the screens a lot. i think joon took someone’s phone and recorded himself on with it too! again, everyone around us were super nice and caring, telling ppl not to push each other and comforting each other as we sobbed throughout. a tall girl standing in front of me asked me if i could see and would try to tilt her shoulders in a way that open up my view which was v sweet but i told her dw just enjoy urself!
ofc the boys were amazing - as amazing as u would expect and them some! they sounded so amazing live that i literally had to ask myself several times during the concert if they were lipsyncing. they were incredibly fun, great onstage energy, and very interactive! sososo much prettier in real life too.
bts speak yourself in chicago 2019: this was undeniably a greater experience all around. this was the stadium tour, so floor seats were seated and numbered, which eliminated the whole terrible camping/lining up experience and everyone just had to come a little early to seat themselves before the show. also, merch sales were offered for 3 days: the day prior to day1 of the concert, day1 before the concert, and day2 before the concert. from my knowledge they didn’t sell out either so all around it felt way more organized, which might’ve just been bc the capacity was going to be 3x greater (soldier field was ~60k and staples centre was ~20k) and they were prepared for that. there was also a photobooth but i think it was only open to certain ppl that won a ticket or smth idr :///
my friend and i didn’t get floor seats this time bc not only did they almost all sold out immediately, but we kind of wanted a view of everything unlike in LA. in LA even tho bts was right there when they were on the extended stage, we couldn’t see anything when they were on the mainstage. so this time we sat in the seated section near like the cat walk and ~10 rows up, and bc the stadium was so huuuge bts was still pretty small but at least i could see all their performances no matter which stage they were on. so, we got merch the day before which was an easy breezy and much quicker process, and got into the stadium ~1 hr before the concert. u were also only allowed to bring in a small transparent bag, but i just brought my phone, a credit card, and an ID in my pockets. also! before the concert, we saw who we thought was txt standing at the very top balcony of the stadium, which we later confirmed in a bangtan bomb/episode!
bc it was an open stadium and chicago had cooler weather around that time which was even chillier at night IT WAS SO COLD. it had been raining all day but thankfully it stopped before the concert started and the stage was cleared so the boys wouldn’t slip (and thank god bc i was so worried about that). joon even said smth along the lines of “hey guys it’s meant to be, it was raining all day until we got together 🥰” and i hmmmmmmmmmmmm :’(((((((( but during their performances i didn’t even notice the cold (even tho my hands and feet no longer felt attached to my body) bc they were so amazing and i was crying too hard!!!
i have to say even tho they had already set a pretty high bar for the energy i expected from them, they even exceeded it this time round. i think they were super excited and proud to do their first stadium tour :’) they had learned a lot of english to share with us during their introductions, between their songs, and in their goodbyes. their production was crazy as you might’ve seen in fancams: an all out set for dionysus, huge bouncy castles for anpanman, and jungkook was on a fucking zipline for euphoria LOL
it was an amazing unparalleled experience and i hope u get to experience it too some day anon! i hoped that helped and sorry it was so long and i probs told u way more than what u were looking for LMAO but lmk if u have any other questions i can answer!! ty!!!!

TXT TLK; chris x oc (?)
Tumblr media
my take on the prompt phrase, “that was fun, let’s do it again sometime!” set in a canon-divergent version of the freshman, where a wrong number text turns into something more.
author’s note: i wanted to try something a little out of my comfort zone, so here’s a “fic” written entirely in texts. this is pretty self-indulgent tbh, and written with an OC instead of the MC (since being roommates wouldn’t quite work with this concept), but i hope you guys enjoy it nonetheless? thanks @hollyashton and @zigisbisexual for hosting!
Chris P.      - 9:57 AM hey do u remember which hall prof atiyah’s class was moved to?
Chris P.      - 9:57 AM im gonna be late
xxx-xx73:   - 9:58 AM Assuming you mean her gen ed class in two minutes, we’re in Block G, second floor. The room next to the vending machine outside.
     Chris P.:     - 9:58 AM thanks zack. why r u typing funny?
xxx-xx73:   - 9:59 AM Are you implying typing with proper capitalisation is funny, or just that my typing style is unusual to you?
xxx-xx73:   - 9:59 AM Also, not Zack. That might explain it.
     Chris P.:     - 10:00 AM ...not zack?
     xxx-xx73:   - 10:00 AM Nope. Delilah.
xxx-xx73:   - 10:02 AM Atiyah just walked in. You might want to speed up a bit.
     Chris P.:    - 10:02 AM damn it
Delilah:     - 10:11 AM Are you the blond guy who just came in?
Chris P.:    - 10:11 AM ha, yeah, that was embarrassing
Delilah:     - 10:12 AM I think Professor Atiyah is just inclined to humiliate any and all tardy students. No need to be embarrassed, “Mister Powell”.
Chris P.:    - 10:13 AM oh god, just chris will do. please
Delilah:      - 10:16 AM Haha, alright. Chris, then. Nice to meet you.
Chris P.:    - 10:18 AM i’d say nice to meet u too, but i’m not sure who i’m supposed to be looking at
Chris P.:     - 10:18 AM i spot at least seven people on their phones right now
Delilah:     - 10:20 AM If their texts are coming from people as entertaining as you, I don’t blame them. Especially in the face of this dull lecture.
Chris P.:    - 10:21 AM entertaining?? i can’t tell if u’re flirting with me or insulting me to be honest
Chris P.:    - 10:22 AM and you didn’t answer my question about who you are. where are you sitting?
Delilah:     - 10:22 AM I think I’ll keep the mystery going for a while longer.
Delilah:     - 10:23 AM And I’m definitely not insulting you, so I guess by process of elimination...
     Chris P.:    - 10:24 AM ha, cute
Chris P.:    - 10:24 AM so if this is a mystery, can i make guesses or something
Delilah:     - 10:25 AM Guess away.
Chris P.:    - 10:28 AM ur name’s delilah, so im guessing u’re a girl? are u the one in the front row? two seats from the far left
Delilah:     - 10:29 AM Ha, god no. I haven’t sat at the front of the class since sophomore year of high school.
Delilah:     - 10:30 AM Also, that girl’s hairstyle is way too cool for me to pull off.
     Chris P.:    - 10:31 AM hmm
Chris P.:    - 10:34 AM are u the one in the middle row? yellow jacket. hiding her phone behind her textbook
Delilah:     - 10:36 AM Nope, I’m a little more bold about my ‘misconduct’, as Atiyah would no doubt call this. And totally staring at you now, so this should make your guesses a lot easier.
Chris P.:    - 10:36 AM i dont see anyone staring at me?? wait
     Chris P.:    - 10:37 AM oh
     Chris P.:    - 10:37 AM hello
Delilah:     - 10:38 AM Ha. Hello.
Chris P.:    - 10:40 AM u were totally my next guess
Delilah:     - 10:40 AM Pfft, of course. Also, stop turning around before Atiyah catches us.
Chris P.:    - 10:42 AM sorry. it’s just nice to look at u
     Chris P.:    - 10:42 AM i mean
Chris P.:    - 10:43 AM u know, because we’re talking and it’s nice to see someone’s face when u talk to them. not because u’re really pretty or anything.
Chris P.:    - 10:43 AM i mean you ARE pretty, but
Delilah:     - 10:44 AM Damn, I can literally feel you freaking out from over here. Stop worrying, it’s fine. I get what you mean.
Delilah:     - 10:45 AM ...Nice to know you think I’m pretty, though ;)
     Chris P.:    - 10:47 AM i mean, yeah?
Chris P.:    - 10:47 AM and for the record, u could totally pull off that other girl’s hair
Delilah:     - 10:49 AM Haha, good to know. But if I ever dye my hair, I think I’d sooner go for purple than green.
Chris P.:    - 10:50 AM actually yea, i think purple would suit u
Delilah:     - 10:52 AM Definitely. I’d be a total babe, ha.
Delilah:     - 10:52 AM What about you? Ever thought of dying your hair?
Chris P.:    - 10:53 AM nah. but the whole rainbow trend really speaks to me
     Delilah:     - 10:55 AM Pfft.
Chris P.:    - 1:04 PM hey! i wanted to stop u at ur desk to say hi earlier, but u disappeared right after class finished
Delilah:     - 1:05 PM Hi again. Yeah, sorry about that. I had another class right after, at the other end of campus.
    Chris P.:    - 1:05 PM ah, understandable
Chris P.:    - 1:08 PM i was wondering if maybe u wanted to grab lunch with me?
Chris P.:    - 1:08 PM with a few of my friends! we’re walking into town to check that new pizza place that just opened
Delilah:     - 1:10 PM Crap, I don’t think I can, sorry. I’ve already made plans. Rain check?
Chris P.:    - 1:12 PM ok, sure, no problem!
Chris P.:    - 1:13 PM see you around!
Chris P.:    - 11:58 AM hi stranger! how’s your morning?
Delilah:     - 12:01 PM Hello Chris. It’s been good so far. Only had one class earlier, so today’s a breeze!
Chris P.:    - 12:03 PM awesome! i was wondering if you’d want to hang out?
Chris P.:    - 12:03 PM i just remembered prof atiyah’s assignment from yesterday so i was thinking of hitting up the library for it
Delilah:     - 12:04 PM Um, I’ve actually got a meeting with my RA soon. Maybe next time?
Chris P.:    - 12:05 PM oh yeah, sure
Chris P.:    - 4:32 PM uh, hey delilah
Chris P.:    - 4:34 PM i was just thinking about our texts? and, um, i just wanted to say, im sorry if i came off as pushy or anything. i talked to one of my roommates and she said maybe u weren’t cool with the idea of hanging out with some guy u only know because he texted you through a wrong number lol
Chris P.:    - 4:35 PM so it’s cool if you dont wanna meet up! i hope you still want to chat, at least. i kind of like talking to you
Delilah:     - 5:27 PM Hi again, Chris. Wow, that’s really thoughtful of you. But please don’t be sorry! If anything, I should be the one apologising.
Delilah:     - 5:29 PM Well, I mean, it’s kind of complicated? And maybe a little stupid. But I’m not very... talkative... outside of texts. I get really nervous talking to people face to face. And when I get anxious, I get quiet. Then I don’t talk much?
Delilah:     - 5:32 PM So I’m a little bit scared you won’t, um, actually like hanging out with me in person. I’m sorry if it seemed like I was avoiding you, or anything like that. You’ve been a blast to talk to, and it’d be nice to chill at the coffeeshop some day or something. Just, uh, be warned?
Chris P.:    - 5:34 PM ok wow u have no idea how relieved i am
Chris P.:    - 5:35 PM i dont really know what to say except i’d still love to hang out with you? i mean i know we haven’t actually texted that much but for what it’s worth i think you’re great company.
Delilah:     - 5:35 PM That’s... really sweet, thanks.
Delilah:     - 5:36 PM But I guess it’s just easier to turn up the charm through text?
Chris P.:    - 5:36 PM psht, who said anything about charm? :P
Delilah:     - 5:36 PM You did, obviously. Clearly, you find my awkward charm very irresistible.
     Chris P.:    - 5:37 PM LOL
    Chris P.:    - 5:37 PM Aaand there’s the wit I’ve missed
     Delilah:     - 5:37 PM Ha!
Delilah:     - 5:38 PM ...Thanks for talking to me about this, Chris. It was nice.
Chris P.:    - 5:38 PM no problem, it’s all good!
Delilah:     - 5:39 PM Oh, and... I know it’s kind of late for coffee, but if you wanted, I could meet you at the cafe in twenty? Just... for a quick chat or something.
Chris P.:    - 5:40 PM i’d like that! at six?
Delilah:     - 5:42 PM Six it is! I’ll be there.
     Chris P.:    - 5:43 PM awesome!
Chris P.:    - 5:43 PM uh, you remember what i look like, right?
Delilah:     - 5:44 PM Of course. Well-set features of an all-American golden boy...
Delilah:     - 5:44 PM With the subdued expression of a kicked puppy as Professor Atiyah chides him for being late.
Chris P.:    - 5:44 PM oh god, that’s the worst impression of me you could possibly have
Delilah:     - 5:45 PM Haha, hardly. But I guess this coffeeshop date is coming at a good time! I can get even better impressions :D
     Chris P.:    - 5:45 PM date, huh?
Delilah:     - 5:46 PM Um, I mean. Appointment? But that sounds too clinical. I just... You know what I mean.
Chris P.:    - 5:46 PM to quote u, “damn, i can literally feel you freaking out from over here”
Delilah:     - 5:47 PM Ha! Touché.
Delilah:     - 9:13 PM Hi, Chris. Thanks for hanging out with me earlier, that was great! Though coffee, dinner and dessert has probably left me two breaths away from a genuine food coma.
Chris P.:    - 9:17 PM hey del! im glad u had fun. and the crepes were ur idea, so
Delilah:     - 9:19 PM True enough! But really, thanks. I haven’t had an evening out in a long time, and I guess I really needed it.
Chris P.:    - 9:19 PM no problem! im glad we did this, it was fun. we should do it again some time
Delilah:     - 9:20 PM Yeah, I’d like that, I think. I’ll see you in Professor Atiyah’s class tomorrow?
Chris P.:    - 9:20 PM definitely. good night, delilah!
Delilah:     - 9:20 PM Good night, Chris.

never straight forward.
well off families wants to marries their kids of to secure their empire. it was a business marriage for the two families. but the kids are not the ones to be placed here and there w/o putting off a fight.
its been a 2 years since his parents passed away. Ron was struggling to keep the company afloat with what was left. all the stock holders are pullling out b/c they can’t trust their investments on a 25 year old something to make their monies grow. He’s only got a few years in the bussiness, still green if you must. But Ron, like his parents is a business genius. he didnt need those ppl who didn’t have faith in him anyways. but having the rumors that he was going to marry his fiance that was set by his parents only did his company good. he was their wish for him to marry her. he didn’t mind every much, not her or getting married. Ron was the type to not be bother by stuff such as love or affections. its not like he had a bad childhood or anything. but that was just the way he is.
He’s met Mr. Le two years ago at this parents funeral. He knew that man is going to be his father in law one day. Ron was okay with it. He was indifferent. Mr. Le helped Ron stayed afloat and rebuilt his empire, he wanted his daughter to live a comfortable life. although Mr. Le was a cold heart business man, he loves and cherishes his daughter above anyone else in the world. April is now 23 years old, and just finished her undegrad. It took her a while, b/c unlike Ron who had to mature quickly, she took her time growing up. If it wasn’t because Mr. Le pressuring her to finish her studies, she would’ve stilled be in school. April doen’st have any plans for the future. One thing she definately didn’t have in her future was getting marry.
Mr. Le set his daughter down and gave April the news.
you want me to marry this 27 something man, that i’ve never met? what if he is abusive? what if he treats me like his servant? even worst... what if he was UGLY? -april  he’s not abusive, nor will he treats you like a servant. and base on everyone around him, he seems to be decent looking. top of the crop for my daughter of course -Mr. Le  but why? i LITERALLY JUST graduate. dont you want me to be independent, find a job. -april  you can do all that even if you’re married. this is not debatable. -Mr.Le is the company in trouble? is that why you’re marrying me off? -april  no, the company is fine. I just want to keep my promise to my friends who’s passed away. Ron is fine young man, with only a little bit of my guidance, he was able to run his parents company into sucess. and with every little knowldge of the bussiness. He was mid-way thru med school when his parents passed. He dropped everything and came back. isn’t that admirable? -Mr. Le stop trying to sell him to me. I dont want to get married. -april  i bought the tickets for you, he’s been over seas for the past comple of years. and i think he’ll be over there for a few more years. Im sending you over there to get to know him first. and if when you guys decided to come back, you still dont want to marry him, then we’ll talk then. how does that sound? -Mr. Le  where is ‘over seas.’ you dont love me anymore, you want to ship me off! is that what it is? -april  vietnam -Mr.Le ARE YOU KIDDING ME? you want me to spend a few years in VN. what am i going to do there? -april  you leave tomorrow at 3. we’ll have lunch before you leave. the maid has already prepare your luggage. if you’re  missing anything, you can buy it over there. if you need anything, he’ll take care of it for you. i’ve already told him that you’ll be arriving. he’ll pick you up. -Mr. Le
and like that april was set for VN the next day. Our princess however had different plans for herself. After bidding her father farewell, april was heading to the airport. but she was not going to VN. April decided to be  make something of herself so that she does not have to reply on her family anymore. what what is she going to do with a biology degree? she didn’t exactly planned it through when she graduate. She just decided on a degree needed the least amount of credit to graduate with. and it was biology. why did she take so many science classes? b/c most of her nerdy friends are pre-med. and she was there to hang out.
She could be a zoologist, a highschool teacher, or continue with her education. med school? -not smart enough  something in the medical field thought, April always wanted to be a doctor. with that, she decided to apply to optometry school. luck was on her side when she got accepted. and like that she went off grid and started optometry school.
tha day, Ron was at the airport waiting for his ‘fiance’ to arrive. she never showed. Ron check the flight, she never got on.
i guess she didn’t care for this marriage as much as myself. That’s good, b/c i can’t afford to babysit some little girl right now. -ron
he was worried that something might happened to her on the way to the airport. the thing about rich children is that they always have to be careful of being kiddnapped for randsom. he’s experienced it a few time as a kid... since then his parents are every careful with the help they hired. Ron was also enlisted in multiple self defense classes. he hired a private detective to see what his ‘fiance’ is up to. as much as april thought she was ‘off grid’. she wasn’t. it only took the PI a few days to find her. after Ron learned that she enrolled in some graduate school in arizona. and will be there for the next four years. that was to the extend of his knowledge. its a win-win situation for the both of them.
i guess she’s not that spoiled type to sit idle on her princessy throne like the other girls.
he was impressed with her. he hired to PI to check up on her occasionally, and only to report to him if anything’s changed. after all he can’t let his fiance run loose. he owns his ‘father in law’ that much. he lied to Mr. Le that day that april has arrived safely. and that he need not to worry. April is in good hands. Besides from learning that her name is apirl, Ron has no idea what she looks like. pretty or not, it was none of his business, its not like he’s can reject her b/c she doesn’t look good. But Ron was not superficial like that. (april might be a little bit)
3 years pass --
April is now in her 4th year and is about to graduate. [she gets loans for the school, living on loan money was a bit of an adjustmnet for her. She cant afford all the nice things like before, but those things never matthered much to her. She do miss the good food, which she splurge on once in a while. so life has been okay for april] she’s relocated to el-paso for a rotation. it was just another ordinary day. when her Mr. Le called...
fk fk fk, i was able to pretend that iwas in VN for the past 3 years via txts and emails. but why does my dad suddenly have the time to call! and in the middle of a sunday as im in the laundry room!!
hi dad. how are you? -a  im good, where are you? a few days a go, an old friend of mine said he saw you on his business trip to el paso. and i said no way, your’e in vn. or did you make a trip back and not tell your old man? -Mr. Le el paso? bahaha, your friends are getting older by days. im in vn with my fiance like im suppose to! dont worry. -a are you with him right now? it should be 9am over there, he’s home right? let me talk to him -Mr. Le you want to talk to him... urrr... he’s in the shower. how about i tell him to txt you in a little bit -a  i’ll wait, i need to talk to him about some business stuff anwyays. it’ll be too troublesome via txt -Mr. Le
shit shit shit. wtfff do i do. -April
as luck as it, there was a asian looking man at the time in the laundry mat.
are you vietnamese? -april  urr yes -ron  thank the lord almighty! brother, help me out. take this call.  its my father. pretend to be my fiance. just do superficial greetings i beg of you -april
this girl is mental... -ron thought but before he could say no, april has already pushed the phone aginst his ear
i havn’t heard from you in a while is business good? -mr. Le.  urrr. yes, sir -ron  thank you for taking care of apirl, i know she can be a handful. she’s been spoiled by me ever since she was a kid. i hope you can be understanding. -Mr. Le yes -ron okay, i wont bother you both anymore. come visit when you get a chance i miss my girl. and you guys need to get married officially. its not good to live together for too long w/o getting married if you understand. -Mr. Le.  yes. good bye - ron
omg thank you so much. that was a close call. -april  if you dont mind me asking, where is your fiance? -ron  idk. i’ve never met him. i ran away before i could see what he looks like. and it doesn’t seem like he cared, to tell my father. so im just going to go along with it. i know its hard to understand, and i dont expect you to. -april  you’d be surprise how much i DO understand. -ron
and that was their first encounter for a every winding road to find ea. other.
