Sagrada Família

The original architect of Sagrada Familia is Antoni Gaudí who, before his passing in 1926, spent a lot of time creating ideas and drawings of different buildings and arts. He was born in 1852 in Catalonia, which is an autonomous county in Spain. Other beautiful buildings that he has been a part of is Palau Güell, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà and many more. He was an extremly talanted architect so if you're interested in buildings and art history I would recommend checking him out.

How sagrada família made me feel

Being in this church felt so surreal. It is incredibly beautiful and the atchitecture is so advanced and though through. While looking up at the ceilings and walls it felt like I was inside of a divine organism. The sun ray's shining through the colorful glass and painting the church in ethereal colors and shimmers. I felt catharsis. As if I was reborn. I'm not really religious but during this moment I felt like I was watching God and it's divine creations. I thought, "If man can create such beautiful things, a devine entity has to exist". The church had me in awe and I felt incredibly inspired by all the details and colors. I exhort everybody who visits Barcelona to see sagrada família.

university is so much better than i could have ever imagined, tell me why i'm sitting (voluntarily) in an italian renaissance atchitecture class and the guy in front of me is eating 750g plain untoasted american sandwich toast straight from the bag while typing his dissertation into his tablet with one hand

Luxury tree house

I’ve just finished binge watching a series on Netflix, called The World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals. Absolutely loved it. Each episode they look at 3 properties - Budget, Unique and Luxury.

They were all beautiful places but one that stood out to me was The Snake House in Mexico City (Quetzalcoatl’s nest). These pictures are of an incredible greenhouse in the grounds, that you enter by walking through the belly of a giant snake.

All pictures are taken from Instagram and there was one quote that summed it up perfectly - “Music is liquid architecture. Architecture is frozen music.” - Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe (shared by @jain108academy)
