Elriel Month: Endless Possibilities

"Azriel still cradling Elain to his chest. He dripped blood behind him the entire time-a trickle compared to the torrent that should be leaking out. Contained only by the patches of power he'd slapped on it. Help-he needed a healer immediately. .. Nesta let out a sob at the sight of Elain, still in Ariel's arms. ..Rhys lunged for Azriel, taking Elain from him and gently setting my sister down. Azriel rasped, swaying on his feet, "We need Helion to get these chains off her." Yet Elain didn't seem to notice them as she rose up on her toes and kissed the shadowsinger's cheek."

There is so much to love about this scene: Azriel cradling Elain to himself, Elain making no move to leave his arms, Ariel's only concern being Elain despite his own wounds, the two of them having to be physically separated by Rhys, and then Elain giving Azriel the one and only kiss he has received in the series. This whole scene had such romantic undertones and further cemented the relationship that has been developing between Elain and Azriel.

She turned to see the tall Slytherin with icy blue eyes that she had somehow forgotten about. He leaned casually in the doorway, hands in his pockets, relaxed and smiling at her like they were old friends. Like he wasn't intruding in the slightest.

All the giddiness of her new office had allowed her a temporary reprieve from the downright fury she had felt when the council insisted that she use Theo Nott as an assistant. Apparently, the headmistress feared another burnout situation comparable to her third year and required the selection of a student to join her team. The council had reviewed all of the dueling results, the flying trials, efficacy of the potions they'd brewed for evaluation and the successful execution of ten of the most complicated charms they could fathom and had decided to 'award' her the best all-around selection. Which just so happened to be the arrogant likes of Theo Nott—best friend to Draco Malfoy, son of a Death Eater and alleged man-whore of their Hogwarts class.

She hadn't noticed him much before, but with the way he stood before her now, it was rather obvious that Theo Nott was the kind of wizard that could have you eating out of the palm of his hand with a warm smile and a gentle 'please'. Hermione came to her senses and realized she'd been staring and yes, he had noticed. The result being that self-satisfied smirk planted smugly across a rather gorgeous face. She wanted to smack that stupidly handsome smirk from said gorgeous face.

Pansy had intended to spit at him. She knew it was a harmless question but she couldn’t get past the feeling of being a caged animal. But before she could pool enough saliva on her tongue to do so, she felt the compulsion rush through her blood. It filled every limb, every extremity until it worked its way up the back of her throat to her lips. “Pansy Parkinson,” she hissed through her teeth.

Draco took his time perusing her curves as she gulped down the alcohol. Her waist nipped at the perfect point just before her hips curved wide. He savored another taste of his drink so that he could have a moment to imagine what it would be like to wrap his hands around her waist, to drag his fingertips over those hips as she bounced in his lap, smothering his face into her naked breasts.

“Muggle liquor is certainly an acquired taste.” He said in his signature Malfoy timbre, the tone of voice that usually had a witch melting for him. Damn, he knew he was playing with fire, that he should stop, but he’d allowed himself too long of a leash and pulling back now was proving impossible. She was staring down into her empty glass. He couldn’t pull his eyes from her lips. They were so full, so soft-looking. He wanted to taste them, to pull that bottom lip between his teeth. Bite down until she whimpered into his open mouth. She was blushing hard now, and Draco didn’t think it was because of the alcohol alone.

“And have you?” She turned a brave face towards him with her question. Daring him to lock eyes with her.

“Acquired the taste?” Another breathy question that was bordering on a moan.

Saucy fucking minx.

Draco’s cock was so swollen in his quidditch trousers that he thought it might rip through the seam to get to her. Draco licked his lips, imagining hers pillowed and wrapped around his leaking length.
