Odysseus: As my grandpa always used to say, “if the enemy handcuffs you to a bike rack there’s always something you can gnaw through.”
Menelaus: Your… grandpa... always said that?

So um... Autolycus?
Son of Hermes, father of Anticlea, and grandfather of Odysseus. This guy.
He's more interesting than you might think.
He inherited a lot from his father, and had a gift that his thefts couldn't be discovered. And he was k i n g of thieves
He stole cattle from Sisyphus himself.
He taught Heracles the art of wrestling.
He had absolutely no talent when it came to naming children. Did you know that Odysseus' mother's name literally means "without fame"? Never mind that Odysseus' name means "he who causes pain or anger", Autolycus chill out dude.
Besides being father of Anticlea (according to Homer) and supposedly also father of Polymede (according to Apollodorus) who was the mother of Jason. THAT Jason, who is Odysseus' cousin as it turns out. He also had a few sons but we know Aesimus by name, this is father of Sinon (according to Aeneid), man who was supposed to tell the Trojans that Greeks had retreated and this big wooden horse was their apology gift. Btw, the name Sinon means "to hurt" so we're still keeping with the style. Interesting facts by Firinnie, thank u

Laertes: What do people get out of stealing?
Autolycus: I get what I stole. What kind of dumb question is this?

Joxer, as soon as Xena leaves the room: Oh my God.
Aphrodite: Xena is wearing pink, Xena is wearing pink!
Autolycus: Are we sure it’s not just a white shirt that’s been bloodied in an accident?
Joxer: Maybe it wasn’t her. Does she have a twin?
Aphrodite: If Xena had a twin she would have eaten them in the womb.

Do u have a design of Autolycus? 👀
Kinda? But not really, I always had a loose idea of the guy, an old, stern, snarky and mean grandpa that lives in the middle of nowhere but he is kinda funny in a way

Lately I've been wondering if Rick Riordan's "demigods tend to be neurodivergent" rule could apply in Epic or really just any interpretation of Greek Mythology and now I can't stop picturing this-
Baby Ody: Hey Papou? Whatcha doing?
Autolycus: painting Self inflicted torture.
Anticlea: It’s necessary, dad.
Autolycus: It’s a pain in my ass. And if you make me do this again you’re grounded.
