neteyam watched your hips sway gracefully as you walked with a sense of pride, your tail swinging high as you pushed your braids from off your shoulders.

he loved looking at you, capturing your every move and studying it.

“bro, she’s going to think you’re a creep.”

lo’ak spoke from next to his brother, patting him on his broad shoulder. neteyam rolled his eyes.

neteyam looked at lo’ak, licking his fangs as he went to speak.

“i am not a creep, i just like admiring her.”

“admiring who?” you soft voice startled them both, eyes wide as you stared at neteyam.

the boy looked down at you, his ears falling with a blush to his cheeks. lo’ak grinned in amusement.

“see ya, y/n.” lo’ak waved off, following spider and kiri.

“has neteyam te suli tsyeyk’itan found a mate?” you gasped sarcastically, although trying to hide the heartbreaking tone in your voice.

neteyam playfully rolled his eyes at you, using his hip to bump yours.

your tail went to tickle his thigh, something that had him flinch away from you as you grinned.

“c’mon.” neteyam didn’t get to process your words as you took off, calling your ikran. neteyam watched in amusement as you jumped on the banshee, your body disappearing from the high camp.

neteyam called his own ikran, the green creature roaring as neteyam connected their queues. you had a head start, but neteyam quickly caught you.

your laugh made his heart flutter, a wide grin on his face as you yipped out. neteyam flew next to you, using his ikran to make yours falter. you gasped at him, doing the same motion back to him as you both laughed.

within minutes, you found your destination and landed your ikran smoothly on the ground.

neteyam furrowed his brows as you approached the tree of souls, debarking off your ikran. he followed you suspiciously, his hands out on his sides as he watched your body move so gracefully.

“y/n…” he trailed off as you connected your queue with the tree, bowing your head as you were in eywa’s presence.

neteyam was in awe, admiring the way the pink glow illuminated your features. your freckles were glowing white as your eyes stared up at him, sparkles evident in your pupils.

“i wish for you to be my mate, neteyam.”

your gentle words caught him off guard, his tail uncontrollably wrapping around yours.

“why pick me?”

“because no one is you,” you grabbed his hands in yours.

“i cannot imagine spending the rest of my life without waking next to you, going to bed with you, having children with you, and being loved by anyone other than you. it will never feel right, unless it is you.”

neteyam smiled widely at your words, resting his forehead against yours.

“oel ngati kameie (i see you), ma y/n.”

“oel ngati kameie, ma neteyam.”

Zuko has been a pirate for 3 years, evading the Fire Nation at every corner, making more enemies than friends. He’s found himself in the South Pole, and he’s tired. And then, a mystical light touches the sky, and a new hope enters Zuko and the world.

I wrote a thing! Its the first chapter of a fic following a universe just slightly to the left of the one we know and love. Ch1 explores zuko on his pirate ship—the Sea Dragon’s Majesty.

I'm two episodes into the new ATLA show and I literally love it oh my gosh skjdfhakdsf

I'm really not the biggest fan of season 1 of the original show so this is honestly a massive step up for me I'm incredibly impressed

M. Night Shyamalan better be taking some serious frickin notes here like this is how you adapt a show hooooly cow

the background noise of the forest night life filled your senses. after a successful hunt, you decided the clan should have a festival.

as tsahík, eywa was calling out to you that everyone needed a night of fun and fulfillment.

so when the hunters came back, they leaped off their ikrans and were surprised with cultural music and festivities.

“what is all this?” neteyam asked, a smile creeping on his face as you embraced your mate.

watching him grow into a strong leader throughout the years was something very special to you, and you couldn’t believe how lucky you were.

and neteyam couldn’t believe how lucky he was that you accepted to be his mate. you were the prettiest in the clan, his childhood best friend, and the only person he’s ever had eyes for.

“i think everyone should have fun tonight.” you rubbed your fingers against his forearm, his skin rough, yet gentle.

he grew taller than you, almost seven inches in difference. his shoulders were more broad as he had the piece of feathers every olo’eyktan wears, his sharp head piece still sitting on his forehead.

you had braided feathers into some of his hair one late night, giving yourself matching ones as neither of you could sleep.

hungry, neteyam grabbed some fruits off a platter and began eating.

you stood with him, watching with a smile on your face as the children danced. it wasn’t very often your people had parties, but when you did it was always a great time.

when neteyam finished chewing, he moved to hold you against him with your back pressed against his chest.

a mischievous idea snuck into your mind, an innocent look to bystanders as you took your tail and slowly crept it against neteyam’s inner thigh.

you could feel him shudder against you, knowing that turned him on.

“behave.”

his tone was firm, accent thick and you couldn’t help but smile.

“or what?”

“i might have to sneak you out of your own party.”
