HELLO! I finally got the motivation to cosplay from The Magnus Archives! I managed to cosplay Jonathan Sims and Mike Crew which was fun to do! It's mostly on Tik tok though I thought it worth the shot to post them here too!

i am absolutely obsessed with jon’s becoming a monster arc. in mag 93 he tells georgie that he’s worried about turning into a monster, in 102 he expresses distress over Knowing something, 111 he says he likes compelling people, 121 making the choice to become something else, 128 the way he acts when taking breekon’s statement, 141 how he tells the terrified and confused statement giver he just needs a break in that tone, 146 he’s very distressed over his eating habits, 147 he accepts he wants to and he likes it, 166 being ashamed that he has gained so much from ending the world and enjoys it, 169 he admits he likes seeing others’ pain, all the way up to how calm he is as the pupil of the eye, ready to watch billions die as he sits and waits and drinks up their fear until the fears themselves wither away. i know i’ve left many things out, like kurt anderson and trying to intentionally Know something and reducing trevor to bait, plus this has barely even touched how he presents himself to the later archives staff, and especially martin

So you know the hc that the first signs of The Eye for Jon manifested as small, mundane, everyday things?

Here's my take on that:

At the end of the week, the entire archival staff goes out for drinks and trivia night. Jon usually does fairly well at trivia, being a smart little guy of course, but this one time he's CRAZY good. Like getting every single answer correct, sometimes before the full question is read out. He's doing so well that Tim at one point accuses him of cheating and confiscates his phone "so he can't look things up" (despite being on the same team as him lol) But he's not cheating, it's just the first little signs of The Eye appearing.

TMA is crawling back in my head so I blended Basira Johnathan Sims and Daisy into a Buddy cop show with an avatar of eye and the hunt

They each feed they rival entities by working together and and relying on eachother while make something good out their terror inducing conditions

They don’t have names yet

Left person basically feeds through recording rapports and force expose people’s crimes

And right/hyena guy is the Hunt and purposely give the culprit a semblance of an escape in order to chase them down or worse

I don’t know if this is like obvious but. I only just realized that as the “listeners” of the statements we mock the powers and capabilities of the eye. We see everything each character does over the span of like 10 years and we know things that some of the characters don’t. Again I don’t know if that’s an obvious think like “duh iris that’s the point” but I just wanted to share because frankly. It’s genius
