Headcanon of how the Burn’s family are as patients:

Heatwave: -10/10 horrible patient, almost the reason Blades quit. Doesn’t let you treat him, doesn’t want to go through any recovery procedures. Boulder needs to be in the room to handle him (bonus if this is part of the reason why Blades probably thought him some first aid)

Chase: 3/10 fine at first, but refuses recovery procedures too. Needs someone to keep an eye on him or he’ll be back on the field.

Boulder: 10/10 Very calm patient. Has hobbies to keep him occupied. Will go along with doctors orders

Blades: 5/10 He’ll have you believe that “doctors are horrible patients” isn’t true for the first few days. Would probably go behind whoever checked him to check himself, can be a little paranoid. He’ll enjoy time off but get restless fast.

Charlie: 9/10 He’s a good patient, but he’s a dad and has the only braincell GR had to offer so he might have to get out there even if he doesn’t want to.

Kade: 3/10 Better than Heatwave, that’s not saying much. Would be a model patient in front of doctors, would still be on the field behind them, but not do anything in the firehouse as his recovery

Dani: -5/10 Blades would probably have to lock her in his cockpit to keep her still, and let’s face it, she would find a way to escape.

Graham: 8/10 would say he’s fine, but he’s an engineer, the moment he touches a bed he’ll KO until he’s healed. Doctors find this a little concerning

Cody: 7/10 He’s a kid, a very good kid, but his a kid. Honestly tho, with his luck, high chance Murphy’s law is the real issue and not him. All the bots would 100% be fussing over him.

Blur: Blades called him his 13th reason. He didn’t get the reference

Boulder: hell yaaaa! Boulder is honestly the kindst soul you could meet, he tries his best to make everything easier for everyone, and that makes me believe that even if he were to need some sort of treatment he doesn’t like, or is uncomfortable with? You wouldn’t even know he’s uncomfortable with it from how committed he is and how he never causes any trouble

I think Blades would definitely catch wind of Boulder not speaking up when he uncomfortable and would definitely talk to him about it, assure him it’s ok to speak up and that they can find middle ground, a compromise of sorts if you will

Blades and Boulder would definitely have an amazing doctor and patient rapport :D

Charlie needs to be there or things would go downhill real fast, Heatwave and Chase can be good stand ins when needed, but depending on when it’s happening, they either can’t actually lead cause they have to act like lifeless machines or even after revealing their truth, Heatwave’s braincell goes bye bye cause of his anger and Chase takes things way too literally and it could end in disaster

Kade is good to an extent but I really don’t think he can keep things running smoothly for long

We literally get an episode in which Charlie gets sick and basically stays in bed and the next thing you know is Evan and Miles mischief, Cody ages up and Kade age regresses, chaos at its finest

So god forbid Charlie actually retires one day hchvvhhv

I feel like Charlie understands actually resting would be better than pretending everything is fine, cause the sooner he rests the sooner he recovers

Jezebel: And, about that… On one hand I could go the anti Lintlicker route and say he’s only covering his ass because the woman wants to put them down and he doesn’t want to. And it’s nothing about him caring about them or anything.  But I could also go the pro Lydecker route and say he was trying to cover it up to get to him so they could in his eyes fix the problem and he would have another “kid” home.

Wench: I think it's probably a mix of both, tbh. He does care about them, but, like we've discussed, in a twisted kinda way?  So it might have been a "bring him home if we can" kinda thing.  And… thoughts on Max?

Jezebel: She was meh at best this episode but the end, with the story, I really felt for her.

Wench: Yeah, I get that.  I don't fully agree --- I think her handling of the Ben situation was pretty atrocious, tbh, even if it did end up working for a bit --- but otherwise... yeah, not bad.  And the end was kinda hard to fully hold against her.  (Also, talk about a picturesque death scene alsdkfj)

Jezebel: Right?! Like, oh, let’s have this lovely scenery, and plop a dead kid in his sister’s arms… oh, and sister is the murderer… Like… Wot?  Ack

Wench: Also, the childishness of the way he was speaking tho 😭

Wench: Honestly, the character as a whole has that quality.  He's so... beseeching.  Legitimately, all he wants is someone to understand 😭  He tries to get that with the priest in the confessional --- "I'm a soldier"--- and with Max at the tower --- "Don’t tell me you don’t wake up with the sound of your heart pounding in your ears." --- and then again with Max at the end.  Even the goading-Max-into-hitting-him bit.  He wanted her to understand the violence and she didn't even give him that 😭

Rewatching Monster Movie

Welcome to “Good EVEning: A Supernatural Rewatch Blog” with Lor and Mace!

 Up today, s4e5: Monster Movie.

  Sam and Dean are in Pennsylvania for a case that sounds like it may be a vampire attack but may also just be a vampire wannabe. Dean doesn't care, though, because it's Oktoberfest, he's been rehymenated, and he's ready to party. But then there's a sort of werewolf attack. And then a... mummy come to life? It becomes clear that they have a shapeshifter who loves old monster movies, but who is he and what's his next mov(i)e? Before they quite figure it out, the monster attacks Dean and his bar wench date (who really needs to join the cast for much more than just one episode because she's amazing) and then next thing he knows, Dean is in lederhosen and strapped to an electrocution table. This is one of the top ten very best SPN episodes. Shot in black and white and with all the little trappings of the classic horror films, it's both a send up and a tribute. It's also one of the best of the hilarious-up-until-the-end-when-it-rips-your-heart-out eps.

Episode 1 spoilers ahead!!

- chishiya not running? Perfect

- the car chase seems really unnecessary and long?? Hello why? Yes Ann can drive but?? Why

- Man just keeps coming back and always just incidentally where the gang is

- kuina my beloved, love of my life she is amazing and funny

- awww the supermarket scene i love

- damn they go hard for my feelings

- already love usagi this season, they seemed to finally have given her character the depth it deserves (Arisu too)

- this gang has a really cool dynamic, rag tag team of friends trying not to die, one braincell shared among them

- the other braincells (ann and chishiya) are on their own

- Lets go NIRAGI, exciting that they stuck to the manga. Bc i really liked the end games

- boys looking rough tho. He had it coming I guess. Looks like costume department had fun with niragi

- i do hope they put in a little more character death than in the manga, to really get the s1 feeling of hopelessness back

I love how this episode finally felt like they're all a family, you know, planning the party bc Marjan was coming back, and immediately knowing that something's wrong bc not showing up or not having her phone on is so unlike her - they know her so well 😭 - and they all worked together to save her and it was amazing

and Marjan!!! she basically saved herself, while barely able to walk, bleeding from her head and then after being shot???! she's so fucking strong and badass and amazing

(and I said multiple time that Mouse was amazing, which means - Marjan is SO fucking amazing)

and I love that we got at least a little bit of her backstory, about her family dynamics, with her parents not coming to her games etc (while Tommy sat through three hours of ballet, bless her soul, ballet sucks 😂)

I need an episode like that for every single one of them (but maybe with less near-death experiences pls 😂)

I literally loved it SO MUCH - it might be one of my faves episodes of this show ever tbh, so good (and to think my stupid ass wanted to drop this show two episodes ago wtf bitch lmao)

 Up today, s2e13: Houses of the Holy

 The boys decide to check out a murder in which the murderer is convinced that an angel told her to do it, and as they're looking into that one, another murder happens with the same story from the perp. Turns out the victims were both sleazeballs and also regularly attended the same church. Dean's 100% skeptical, insisting it's a spirit and not an angel because of course angels don't exist since neither of them nor John have ever seen one. He's shocked and troubled, then, when he discovers that his little brother Sammy does, in fact, believe in angels. It turns out nobody here's been touched by an angel (yet - WE'RE LOOKING AT YOU, DEAN WINCHESTER); instead it's the vengeful spirit of a priest who was shot just outside the church and who is convinced he is an angel. By the end of the episode, Sam and Dean are both wavering in their respective convictions, and both give very good sad face puppy eyes.

The larp!! Clint doing larp!! I LOVED IT!! Just the quiet “I fought Thanos” was hilarious but I also loved how he told Grills he can call him Clint and now they’re friends and it made that guys dad. Love it.

The way the show depicts Clint’s ptsd and survivors guilt was wonderful. It was subtle at times and other times you can really see how much he’s struggling. The zone out when broadway Nat dances, how he had to leave the theater and kneels on the carpet outside, the waiter comping their meal for saving the city, seeing Ronin on the news, using Nat’s plan of “being bait”. 

DEAF CLINT BARTON!!! FINALLY!!! WE FINALLY HAVE DEAF CLINT AND I’M SO HAPPY!!! God it was great! The hearing aid, him turning it off and on, walking on Kate’s right side all the time, the reason for the hearing aids being years of being too close to explosions. Just all of it. LOVE IT
