oh im very bad at a lot of things, honestly some of the commentary i get online is goofy because in everyday life i am commonly bringing up the rear in terms of skill and general function. like not in an endearing way, but in an awkward and uncomfortable sort of way for sure. Its the whole "online viages do not represent the real, interactive self" speil deal there. for specifics I am comically bad at pretty much any physical task, like in a "you could not have imagined someone being able to be that bad" sense.

but at this point ive accepted that whatever flavor of freak i bring to the table is going to be what its going to be, good, bad, awkward or otherwise

#i remember going to axe throwing with friends and i couldnt even throw the axe halfway to the target #and when i tried to join the department softball team i had a hard time even holding the bat up #and i got pelted with softballs since i couldnt catch them and had insane bruises all week #at some point we were playing a game of catch and the football hit me square in the neck #something to that effect actually happened multiple times ive had many head/jugular shots #we also had a big volleyball game and i ran away from the ball which cost us several points and the overall win

I just binged NCIS: Hawai'i and I'm so bitter it got cancelled. This show is so good and deserves at least 8 seasons.

#of course cbs cancelled the first ncis show with a majority non-white cast. woman as the lead. and same sex couple #because they're cheap and decided sydney is worth more because it costs them less #and for origins which no one asked for. i already don't like the idea of that cause #a) they're bound to make something happen that doesn't line up with ncis so it'll be retconning stuff or just make stuff confusing #and b) you can't continue to expand the ncis universe with this show in the past about a character we already know about.#Hawai'i gives us characters whose stories are current and who can impact the present #and i know cbs will never let another network acquire Hawai'i like they did for all rise #they'll never let another network have an ncis show. They want full control over their franchise.#can this show get the swat treatment? no idea. But I hope people and the cast/crew keep fighting for this show.#cause it deserves so much better than ending on what may be a cliffhanger tomorrow and will definitely be unresolved stories for everyone #also the audacity for cbs to have vanessa and the cast out there talking about how much they love being part of the franchise #and how important the show is during that 1000th ep stuff #only to cancel it not long after is just a shit move #use them for promo then axe them #ncis hawaii #ncis hawai'i #cbs #sgx

another billions analysis thing is like so yeah while it's like "hmm let's think about power" but then doesn't really do that, what's there to offset that is "but let's think about what these people with billions(tm) are doing because of their like personal feelings & lives & whatever" and the personal feelings are the thrilling journey of s1 men following the compass of their ego & the way their personal lives matter at all beyond this is about their Relationships. except the relationships are also actually about the power billions isn't really thinking about because the ones billions focuses on involve this Fealty where one person does whatever and the other is just stuck with it. sure they might air some unhappiness sometimes, but if it's not punished or ignored from the start anyway, it'll still end up so inconsequential that it's as though it never happened. and what's left to offset the way that can't mean anything if you again take it for granted that of course people are just locked into such relationships & best they can do is fix it from the inside or embrace it as is? is "do you think this character is a winner among losers & you want to see them pwn everyone & do whatever they want forever" & if you like all the media the creators do like

#or you can watch the show wrong but where billions was never planning to allow taylor to Disrupt these crucial dynamics #sure they can kind of break with axe but never with wendy!#who can also kind of break with axe & chuck but also not really at all! worst Cost for anyone: divorce. & even then it's not that bad #it's like whenever things just conclude with a reverent nod to like Nuclear Family subsection Fealty To Parent or To Cishet Spouse #like where invoking that serves as a resolution to all the shit going on throughout the actual plot / themes of the material #oh well thank god we have the nuclear family. wendy's on emergency call for her kids & sometimes she will pat their head as they silently #disappear out of frame but that's all we need to be so glad for her she has her nightmare family dinners forever #does taylor have Okay I Guess weekly friend dinners? who cares.#and i mean from there which relationships matter are also just determined by which ones the show cares about in particular #same as which it believes is obviously an Epic Man. or a girlboss. which is primarily wendy sorry! as the wife who will epic divorce you #winston billions #kind of putting a damper on thinking about how Feelings & Personal Motivations play into things #when once again it's precluded by the power dynamics of characters who get to do whatever they want no consequence ever #just going through motions like oh no wendy feels she was in the wrong in s4? no consequence by the end of it & that just Goes Away #how does anything have anything to do with wendy's motivations in s7 #the real shining example of how really nothing holds up upon any earnest consideration is everything going on with axe & wendy #those relevant Motivations and it's like okay so wendy should want axe dead right? Wrong. it's peak beautiful romance time now #and anytime there's a more actually balanced relationship where nobody just does whatever they want no consequence?#billions is only interested if a s1 epic winner is involved & even then it'll only get so much material simply as fun little bonus flair #all that stuff about chuck's dad always being around to ruin his life? well he'll just keep doing that forever i guess #and this isn't some ''oh no'' moment like ah the parent always means well! and what's the child gonna do? escape this? lol

I hate that I play 5+ string bass and am interested in high-end bass-only pedals so no store in this godforsaken city has any of them in stock for me to fool around on and I refuse to buy anything I haven’t played

#im so sad to learn my main axe is no longer sold anymore #because every review I’ve come across of it has been ‘the best affordable 5 string absolute bargain’#I paid $300 for it used and it sounds like it would cost at least twice that #unfortunately the only other 6 string esp itds are. unappealing to me #unless I splurge for a $1k+ bass and idkkkkkkkk #I looooove esp but….. I know Ibanez has some affordable models that look nice #but please just let me win this dingwall I got entered for I’m begging #or maybe I’ll go a different route entirely and get an epiphone sg or a entry level telecaster LOL

It's so funny how everyone plays games differently. Apparently it's a common complaint in Tears of the Kingdom that arrows are hard to come by (judging from a handful of youtube comments and my spouse's complaints). Meanwhile my arrow count hasn't dipped below 275 for the last, like, 50+ hours of gameplay. 🤷🏻‍♀️

#My spouse: attaching rockets to shields to shoot himself into the sky so he can slow time #and get headshots for every single enemy he encounters #Me: pulling out dank flowers from my inventory and going 'Um have you heard of Muddle Bud??'#Muddle up a camp. They attack each other. You come in at the end to take out the last one standing.#At most it costs you 4 arrows and you get like 15 back between the archers killed and the crates you smash open #But my spouse doesn't even smash the crates!!!#'You only get like 3 arrows from that'#YES TIMES LIKE 100 CAMPS! THAT'S 300 FREE ARROWS BUDDY!#Why do you think I always keep an axe on hand???#For the crate looting and monster tree killing!#Duh!
