Shame on me for writing DM! Fire and Bramble's relationship as if Bramble's massive lioness of a mom wasn't right there the entire time.

So, Dm!Goldenflower takes Fireheart aside to chat after he's named deputy and the new mentor of Bramblepaw to let him know that if he harms her kit she'll snap his spine like a dry piece of spaghetti and feed him to the buzzards. 10/10 mom, would recommend.

Fire is very hands-off and emotionally distant with Brambeplaw, partially for reasons shown above, but also because he didn't really want to interact with him to begin with.

the way jace spoke to ulf was so hot...asserting his power and telling him he'll feed his body to the dogs was really good! that's such a daemon move. esp because it's something that jace is taking from him and using it in his way and not lashing out like daemon would do. that jace feels like his status, an accident of birth, is the only thing that separates him from them and then using /that/ to chastise ulf was amazing. he needs to feel in control so he /will/ use anything that he can to gain it back. but honestly. that someone finally tells jace that he's the jailer of his own cell was what he needed. he realizes it! he doesn't have to undermine himself when he's still the crown prince. and then rhaenyra chooses addam to go to harrenhal with her :) what's good about intimidating if rhaenyra will still choose another?
