You can find the quiz here. Music and results below:
After my last WIPs only showing angst, here's a love song for OCs Azriel and Schrödinger Turquoise specifically from Far Cry The Silver Chronicles (however, as of typing, I do not make any promises that quiz results will not include angst). Song below:
youtube
"Well I don't care what they think Drag racing my little red sports car I'm not unhinged or unhappy, I'm just wild
I'm on the run with you, my sweet love There's nothing wrong contemplating God Under the chemtrails over the country club We're in our jewels in the swimming pool Me and my sister just playin' it cool Under the chemtrails over the country club
Meet you for coffee at the elementary schools We laugh about nothing as the summer gets cool It's beautiful how this deep normality settles down over me I'm not bored or unhappy, I'm still strange and wild
You're in the wind, I'm in the water Nobody's son, nobody's daughter Watching the chemtrails over the country club Suburbia, The Brentwood Market What to do next? Maybe we'll love it White picket chemtrails over the country club
My love, my love
Washing my hair, doing the laundrey Late night TV, I want you on me Like when we were kids under chemtrails and the country clubs It's never too late, baby, so don't give up It's never too late, baby, so don't give up."
And now three results from the quiz!
First we got Eleanor (from The UnTitledverse). And hot damn she got called out. Considering she was created by the first evil being of darkness (by function) to be created into existence only to side with its twin which is an Eldritch that is the embodiment of good and light (though take caution, both Eldritch take their moralities to the extreme) definitely fits the vibe Elektra is giving off.
Tumblr media
Next we got Ezekiel (from Far Cry The Silver Chronicles). A man just looking for any survivors from the Tumultite Massacre, hoping his diversion had succeeded in driving away the Enforcers from the Omar sisters (+ Silva's infant daughter). Only to find a world broken down by war and hoping to fix it alongside Thomas Rush as his Captain of Security.
Tumblr media
And lastly we have Inviticus (from Life, Despair & Monsters). An antagonist apart of the Midnight Rise, he is Malvolio's main enforcer, and he takes pleasure in the pain he inflicts on his endless hunts.

Far Cry El Industrial’s Reign AU Post #7
The Tumultites actually get along with Jerome and don’t mind him talking about his faith and God. This is very unlike how uncomfortable they are whenever Eden’s Gate preaches about Joseph, their faith, the Collapse and the Voice.
This is because the Tumultites don't consider Jerome and Eden's Gate' God to be the same God.
Jerome's God is forgiving, patient, benevolent and merciful. Which is unlike the God Father Adam Omar preached about. The God Adam Omar preached on and on about was a cruel, spiteful and willing to let them all suffer and burn in "the end" (which almost happened during the Tumultite massacre/genocide), and had been used as justification to put many, many of their people to death. Which is why the Tumultites are very much against Eden's Gate' God, or "the Voice".
Surface-level, the Project at Eden's Gate promotes community and purity of body and soul, but behind the scenes, their actions are off-putting to the Movement, considering the Peggies act aggressively and are likely to cause fights than the locals are. Even over something as little as a bad word or even a doubt or criticism about Joseph is more than enough to set them off. There was also the fact that beforehand, the Eden's Gate members weren't allowed to be angry, but the Seeds were (Isiah and Alexander managed to talk to Tracey about her time spent with the cult, and Gemini and Schrödinger witnessed it themselves during their espionages in Eden's Gate when the cult stopped gifting baskets of fruit one day and chose violence the next), which alarmed the likes of Silva who didn't expect the change (she thought they were harmless right until her people were getting threatened and bribery of money in exchange for their properties was attempted on them many times), causing her to make some counter-measurements just in case Eden's Gate decided to enact war. It brings reminders of Omar's Guard, which is not a comparison anyone wants to be compared to.
Jerome and his congregation (or what's left of it) however promote good faith in others, trust and respect. Even Silva attended his sermons, and while she doesn't believe that God truly exists (and will never truly form any kinship with the religion due to Omar's Guard' BS), she is respectful towards Jerome's faith in his God, and even comforted by the possibility that, if they were to exist, this God looks out for others and inspires a goodness, which is such a breath of fresh air for her, considering how Eden's Gate and Omar's Guard display their gods. Silva and Jerome may not be close and do have different believes, but there is a friendliness built on trust and respect there.
A lot of the Tumultites even attend Jerome's sermons, and if it's not because they believe in his god, it's definitely to show their interest and support in Jerome and his faith. (P.S There are some Tumultites who are just there to hear Jerome's voice lol).
Azriel doesn't attend any sermons and doesn't really interact with Jerome, nor does she really want to (she's not very popular amongst Fall's End, and by that I mean she's not really liked there).

Do you ever hang out with someone that you could so entirely see a future with but you also know it probably won't work out so you sit quietly and revel in the time you spend together and the little touches and eye contact you share wishing for more but also knowing better?

Blah blah blah, Franmaya, Franziska von Karma is a good person who cares about people and Justice and stuff, I am aware.
But the real reason she didn’t fight Godot tooth and nail (she’d win, she has a weapon) to continue prosecuting in Bridge to the Turnabout would be the puzzle locks. Franziska von Karma cannot resist a puzzle and that is a fact.

Soulmate AU Protagonists and Antagonists Story Idea
Admittedly, I've never been the biggest fan of soulmate AUs. I suppose it's never been something that fits the whole schtick I'm going with in the fanfics I'm writing (the whole theme of "screw destiny" and the subversions or alternate perspectives of things such as fate, destiny, the chosen one, etc).
That doesn't mean I hate the AU, or the stories I've read (no matter if they were either incredible or cliched, dark or wholesome). But besides the worldbuilding and the dynamics and the slowburns, there really wasn't much to offer for me. Not that there wasn't any unoriginality, but it was lacking some kind of specific conflict (whether it be in the story itself or between characters).
I have read plenty of ways the AU is handled. And the general consensus I've found is mostly along the lines of "slowburn of Character A & Character B, dislike/enemies-to-fated-lovers" (whether the enemy part is justified or not depends on the themes) and rarely found any subversions like "Character A rejects Character B for, let's face it, justifiable reasons and ends up with Character C outside the universe's laws and society expectations" and even rarer "Character A doesn't like Character B very much and the universe acknowledges this so allows A to fate themselves to the better suitor, Character C". And these stories ARE enduring to read, but it just wasn't enough for the itch I was trying to scratch (It's really hard to explain, and a strange feeling overall).
Like, mostly it's heavily focused on the romance aspect (understandable, soulmate is in the name) instead of the implications that come with the fact people have soulmates and have initials/marks/symbols/names/countdowns/etc, etc to prove it. Most of the time, those implications are brushed over briefly (again, understandable), and rarely touched upon. Not only that, but the AU itself doesn't leave much argument on the pros and cons of being fated (besides the obvious "mutually disliked persons/enemies are fated" to each other) or the morality and potential existential conflicts that are there in the AU, if that's easy to understand (which I've rarely seen anyone touch upon, which is again, understandable, as that's not the whole point of the AU, and it is nobodies responsibility to write those specific premise out).
Don't get me wrong, overall the AU is an incredibly interesting premise to write out in beloved fandoms, especially with your favourite characters involved, but it just wasn't something for me...
...until today.
Given the implications of the soulmate AU (specifically, that you have a soul that is bound to another person, therefore implying a level of spiritual mythos (destiny, magic, red string of fate, etc), and even more religious ones (like God, angels, heaven and hell) exists in the AU), I think I can write a fulfilling fanfic with it. Both with original (well, I say original for some of these characters, but also somewhat alternate take on) characters and even an intriguing conflict.
The conflict and arguments of the story centres around two pairs of character. First pair are the protagonists; the (re: God's) Angel of Life, Archangel Metatron, and one of Death's aspiring newest recruits, an Angel of Death by the name of Azriel (and no, this is not Azrael, the (re: God's) Angel of Death, Azriel is the growing human soul of a girl at 11-years-old now who literal-Death-itself took in because she died an infant and couldn't be taken in to either Heaven nor Hell due to not being able to live for long). The second pair are antagonists; a hellborne-demon from the Sloth Ring by the name of Xiang Ba'al, and his adopted daughter, the wrongfully damned soul of a young girl (around 10-years-old) by the name of Jezebel Ba'al (Jazzy for short). Now despite being protagonists and antagonists, these two pairs of characters fall in a (light and dark, respectively) grey morality with mixes of blue/orange morality (which is a given; these are beings with a limited and/or flawed understanding of human beings and who live in two very flawed and different systems (both Heaven and Hell have issues)). This light/dark grey morality eventually evens out and gets greyer and greyer as the story goes on.
Essentially, both pairs fight for and against the soulmate system... both understand that the system is both a great idea but severely flawed and go about to preserve yet change it... however, how they both go about it is the difference. The angels' method, while manipulative on emotional levels, is less likely to cause physical harm, but is also slow and time consuming which may not even work sometimes leading to unexpected confrontations between humans. Meanwhile, the demons' method, while physically forceful to horrific degrees, gets effective results fast, but is a violation on the humans' right of choice.
Additional Notes: Metatron and Azriel have a flawed yet growing mentor/student and brother/sister dynamic while Xiang and Jazzy have a pretty caring yet horrifyingly psychotic father/daughter and master/underling dynamic. They both travel and pop up in any universe with a Soulmate AU.
Anyway that's just me talking about things on my mind and my ideas of a fic series I'm going to write.
Chow!

The order of which the Heralds are "taken down" in the AUs
AKA more or less how things occur in the AUs especially with the canon divergences:
Far Cry The Silver Chronicles (Deputy!Silva, kind of main Far Cry 5 timeline) - Silva takes down (but captures and spares in the moment) John first, though she struggles with the morals keeping him alive and essentially lying (by omission) to her allies, trying to decide whether a) she should spare him and risk the wrath of the community she just gained after being alone for so long, as well as keeping a major player of Eden's Gate alive who (in her current opinion) doesn't really deserve to live, but could use as leverage against Joseph, or b) justifiably kill him for all he's done, but also incur Joseph's wrath/accidently help forward his (from her current speculation, since she sees him as a proxy to Adam Omar, a more vile prophet) plans to continue the Reaping, but gets to confirm to the residents of Holland Valley and the GFH that John is gone, but also live with the guilt and regret and shame of killing an unarmed and non-threatening opponent, as well as probably straining her relationships with Kamski (because he started liking John, if only a little bit) and Faith (because John's literally her brother who she cares about, despite how unreciprocated that care is)). Then comes Jacob, who she intends on sparing, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of bending her mind to his will entirely, showing she is stronger than that, and will not play into Joseph's hands. She attempts to carry his wounded ass back to her bunker where John should be (but Kamski took the younger brother to help him out on a little side quest), but they are both intercepted and separated by Oscar Lapis and his Enforcers, who return Jacob to Joseph as a show of good faith. Silva never really fights Faith, though the adopted sister is attacking her in the Bliss, but its more of Silva debating with Faith while avoiding Bliss attacks. And then later Silva goes rescue Faith from Omar's Guard, as well as get out of a about-to-be-bombed Henbane region. Her "final confrontation" with Joseph is really just her rescuing him from Adam Omar.
Far Cry The Judges Duty (Judge!Silva, Silva is the Judge in 2018 during Far Cry 5) - Silva "takes down" Faith first, then they go get John from Paul and the Apostles, Jacob from Malvolio and the Deserters and lastly Joseph from Adam Omar.
Far Cry The Harbinger's Salvation (Alive!Elsa and Harbinger!Silva, the former is the morally-grey protagonist while the latter is a brainwashed victim in an antagonistic role) - Elsa manages to take down the Father and his Heralds rather quickly during a "peace meeting" by blackmailing them to help her kill Paul and the Apostles and save her sister who is currently a nigh-unstoppable killing machine conditioned to slaughter everyone in the county.
Far Cry El Industrial's Reign (Industrial!Silva and AliveBabyGirlSeed!Azriel, Silva is older than most iterations (being 37) and the leader of the surviving Tumultites and the adoptive mother of Azriel (aka Joseph's alive daughter, who is 20)) - Silva and Azriel capture John first, then have trouble with Jacob and Faith, before Alexander saves Jacob from Enforcers and Silva finally convinces Faith to come with her before Oscar and his Enforcers come, leading many people out of Faith's Gate but leaving the Angels behind to distract (and overwhelm) the Enforcers. Joseph and Adam's words towards Azriel do not help her mental state and she captures both Joseph and Silva, and the ending of this encounter can either go a nice bittersweet or really sad bittersweet.
Far Cry The Reverend's Rule (Reverend!Silva, Silva is combined with the Curse and becomes Phillip's new prophet) - Sylvester (soon-to-become Silva) recruit Faith with the help of the Curse and Phillip, then manage to either recruit John or Jacob, before attempting to get the other brother who solidifies his loyalty to Joseph, who loses most of his flock to Silva, John/Jacob and Faith's efforts thanks to Omar's Guard' arrival and Phillip's guidance.
Far Cry The Apostles' Rise (Apostle!Silva, Silva joins the Apostles of Zachariah) - Recruits a spying Faith first before attempting (but failing) to kill the other three. All of their survivals depends on the oneshot story.
Far Cry The Scavenger's Promise (Scavenger!Silva and Immune-To-Bliss!Azriel, Silva is 35 and works with any contract/odd job she can get from Gavin, and is hardened by the death of a 9-year-old (different from the canonically 5-year-old) Persephone, but ends up accidently adopting Azriel, who is 11-years-old and not related to Joseph) - Silva saves Faith from some Enforcers who framed (and about to execute) the sister, and goes to help Jacob and John out (their survival is up for debate), but are unable to get to Joseph in time as he is callously killed by Adam Omar while attempting to protect Azriel.
Far Cry The Inquisitor's Chime (Inquisitor!Silva, Silva is apart of the Yellowjack Mafia family because Omar's Guard murdered Persephone and Irene (the latter canonically died in earlier timelines, and no where near Persephone's death) instead of Paul and the Apostles) - Silva blackmails them into helping the Mafia and the Reaping does not happen.
Far Cry An Assassin's Pledge (Assassin/Hitwomen!Silva, 28-years-old and works for the Yellowjack Mafia) - Doesn't really take down the Seeds and is more hired by them.

Yes I am out of touch but yes I did just learn that (at least some) people are referring to the Eddie/Chrissy ship as ‘hellcheer’ and like, what. Are you kidding me. I have no particular feelings toward the characters or the ship, but that portmanteau is amazing. That sounds like the title of a Christopher Pike novel from 1989. I can picture it in that slasher-y typeface in hot pink foil lettering, splashed across a cover with a cutout window looking onto a painting of a lit-from-below creepily-smiling pretty blonde cheerleader. I can picture the inner cover when you open up the front cover with the cutout, the reveal that that cheerleader’s standing on a pyramid of dead bodies and holding up severed heads like pom-poms. You sign Tiffany’s yearbook in blood...

Far Cry 5: Reunited: Part Two
(Mara sits at the kitchen counter and sends a text to Rachel. She doesn’t get a reply and she sighs. She looks out of the window, it’s beginning to get dark now. Joseph and John have been gone for over four hours. She figures that they are catching up with Jacob and probably getting drunk together. She sighs. There is a knock at the door. She walks through the lounge and opens the front door. Joseph and John are stood there but she doesn’t see Jacob.).
Mara: Didn’t find him then?
Joseph: No.
John: We checked the local store and we went round all the bars. No sign.
(Mara sighs.).
Mara: Damnit Jake.
Joseph: Does he often do this?
Mara: Do what?
Joseph: Disappear?
Mara: He has done a few times. Not for a while though. Not for this long. He’s usually at the bar.
John: Well he isn’t.
Mara: Well maybe he’s taken off somewhere else. Have you checked the woods?
John: The woods?
Mara: Yeah. I found him in there once.
(John frowns.).
John: Why don’t you just call him and ask him where he is?
Mara: He doesn’t have a phone.
John: Of course not.
Mara: I bought him one but he never uses it. He’s not a fan of technology. He’ll come back.
John: You don’t sound too sure.
(She shrugs.).
Mara: Where are you staying?
John: No idea. We’ve driven out here from Atlanta.
Mara: Atlanta?
John: Yes. It’s where I’ve been living.
(Mara is looking down the road hoping to catch a glimpse of Jacob’s truck but the road is empty.).
Mara: Where’s your car then?
John: Just back there.
Mara: Hm.
(She sighs.).
Mara: You want to come in for a coffee?
John: I thought you’d never ask.
Mara: You can go sit in your car if you want.
Joseph: Coffee would be good thank you.
(Mara steps back and they go inside. She shuts the door behind them and goes to the kitchen.).
Mara: I’m sure he’ll be back soon.
(Joseph and John have stopped dead. Sat on the floor in the lounge playing with some cars is a small boy with red hair. The boy looks up at them as they walk in then goes back to playing with his cars.).
Mara: How do you take it?
John: Three sugars no milk.
Joseph: No sugar and just a little milk please.
(She makes the drinks and sets them down on the counter before sitting down. Joseph and John join her and sit staring at her. Joseph keeps looking at the little boy sat on the carpet in the next room. Mara looks at the clock.).
Mara: It’s getting late. I thought he’d be back by now.
(It’s nearing 9pm.).
John: Aren’t you going to put the little one to bed?
(She narrows her eyes again.).
Mara: No. Why, think it’s too late for him to be up? I’m sick of people commenting on my parenting like it’s anything to do with them.
John: I wasn’t.
Mara: Good.
John: Why are you so defensive?
Mara: I’m not. I’m just sick of people butting their noses in. Already had the neighbours sending child services round.
John: Really?
Mara: Bunch of no good busy bodies.
(She takes a sip of her coffee.).
Mara: He’s gotta have his bath first. He won’t want to go to bed anyway. Not until his dads home. I think he worries about him. They pick up on things kids.
Joseph: How old is he?
Mara: Three.
Joseph: What’s his name?
Mara: Gabriel.
Joseph: Gabriel.
John: He looks just like him.
Mara: Yeah.
(The landline suddenly rings and Mara gets up and answers it.).
Mara: Yes? What?
(Joseph turns to John.).
John: What? I didn’t mean anything by it.
Joseph: This is Jacob’s family. We must not judge them brother.
John: I wasn’t.
Mara: He did what? Godsake. Yeah well you can bet your ass that prick started it! Oh I will don’t worry. You stupid pricks you know he’s had problems. How am I meant to do that? Oh you must really love your job eh? Locking people up for defending themselves. Just because you don’t like them! Yes I will. Have you arrested Lonny have you? The drunk lout! He’s always making trouble but I guess you can get away with anything when your father is friends with the mayor eh? You just blame it on my husband instead!
(She hangs up and sighs. Gabriel is staring into the kitchen. Joseph smiles at him but the boy doesn’t smile back.).
John: Who was that?
(She sits back down at the counter.).
Mara: The police. Jacob’s been arrested.
John: Arrested?
Mara: Yes.
(Joseph looks at Gabriel, he is still sat there just staring into the kitchen.).
Joseph: What have they arrested him for?
Mara: Assault. It’s bullshit. Jacob doesn’t start fights. He usually ends them don’t get me wrong. He was probably just sat having a quiet drink on his own and that prick Lonny started on him. He’s done it before. He’s the thug.
John: Well don’t worry. I’m a lawyer.
Mara: Oh you are?
John: Yes. We’ll have him out in no time.
Mara: It was just a drunken bar fight. He’ll be back by tomorrow. They didn’t charge him last time.
Joseph: This has happened before?
Mara: Yes. It’s always Lonny that starts it. He even came up to the house once. Yelling that Jacob was a psycho. Ha! If only they knew.
John: What does that mean?
Mara: He served in the army. He saw many things. I don’t even think he’s told me everything. How can he? They just don’t understand the horrors he’s had to face. For his country, for them. Some people just have no respect. It all started at their fourth of July party. The fireworks they set him off. The bangs you know? He started yelling and he ran into the woods. I found him hiding in the bushes. Lonny and his friends all thought it was funny. They started calling him Old Mad Seed.
(Joseph sucks in a breath.).
Mara: Jacob heard them and he went mental. Gave Lonny a split lip. He’s never usually one for violence and he rarely loses his temper so it shocked me. He told me afterwards that everyone used to call his dad that. He hated his father.
Joseph: He wasn’t a very nice man.
Mara: So I’ve heard. Anyway after that one of our neighbours had a party for one of their daughters. This was a year later. Lonny was there with his wife, he’s a bit of a drinker Lonny. He can get nasty when he’s drunk too. There was some altercation between him and another neighbour and Jacob stepped in and broke it up. He told Lonny to go home. I don’t quite know what happened next, I was sat on the patio so I don’t know what was said but Lonny and another neighbour suddenly started punching Jacob calling him a psycho. It turned into a bit of a brawl and other neighbours and their friends had to break it up. I asked them what had happened afterwards and they told me that Jacob was saying things like they should have put Lonny on the barbecue coz he’s just a useless lump of meat anyway. Then he apparently said that he’d eaten human before and it wasn’t half bad.
(John’s mouth has dropped open.).
Mara: So yeah. Now whenever Lonny sees him he just has to start. I’m guessing that’s what happened tonight. Lonny lives at the bar.
John: Okay.
Mara: He didn’t start that fight tonight. He rarely gets drunk and when he does he just sits there quietly then stumbles into bed or falls asleep on the sofa.
Joseph: I believe you.
Mara: I don’t care if you believe me or not.
John: Well I think we should go to the police station.
Joseph: Yes.
John: Do you know where it is they’ve taken him?
Mara: Silver Creek station. It’s just opposite the post office. Back down the road and turn right. Keep heading towards town.
John: Right. You coming?
Mara: I would love to but I need to stay here and get little man sorted. Rachel’s stormed off so...
John: She usually do that?
Mara: Yeah. She’s difficult at the best of times.
John: Is she your daughter?
Mara: You cheeky...How old do you think I fucking am? She’s my sister.
Joseph: She has problems?
Mara: It’s none of your business.
John: Can’t you leave him with a neighbour or a friend?
Mara: Don’t have any. The neighbours all think we’re scum. I wouldn’t leave my son with them anyway and it’s too late to be taking him out now. Besides I wouldn’t want him to see his father in a jail cell. Boy don’t need that shit.
(Mara gets up and puts her mug in the sink. She then goes into the lounge.).
Mara: Come on little man bath time.
(Joseph watches as Gabriel puts down his cars and stands up. Mara lifts him up and carries him back to the kitchen. She opens a drawer and takes out a pen and paper. She writes something down then hands the paper to Joseph.).
Mara: That’s our landline number. Give me a call once you get there would yah? Tell him I’m not mad.
Joseph: We will.
(Joseph and John stand up.).
Mara: I’ll make up the guest bedroom.
Joseph: You don’t have to do that.
Mara: Well you gotta sleep somewhere. Unless you want to get Jacob’s tent and camp out on the lawn.
John: The guest bedroom will be fine thanks.
Joseph: Thank you.
Mara: Don’t expect a happy reunion will you? He’s probably different than the brother you remember.
Joseph: I understand. We are all different now. What matters is that we are back together.
(Mara walks down the hall and Joseph and John leave.).
*
(Joseph and John have been waiting for over twenty minutes.).
John: I can’t believe she didn’t come down here with us. She’s meant to be his wife.
Joseph: John she has a small child. Did you really expect her to drag him down here to a police station at this time of night?
John: Well...Yes. She should have come no matter what. He’s her husband.
(Joseph sighs.).
John: She could have left the kid with a neighbour.
Joseph: The neighbours do not seem to like them. You heard what she said.
John: Hm. I can understand why.
(Joseph shoots John a look.).
John: Oh don’t look at me like that. You’ve met the woman. She’s...I don’t know. A hard faced cow.
Joseph: I have told you already John we must not judge. She has let us into her home when we are complete strangers and from the sounds of it she is letting us stay.
John: Hm.
(John folds his arms then sighs.).
John: I just don’t get her. I mean she could be happier that her husband’s brothers have found him. That he’s found his family. She seems like she couldn’t care less.
Joseph: What did you expect John? How did you want her to react when we suddenly turned up on her doorstep?
John: I don’t know. But...I don’t know.
Joseph: It’s going to take time John. Time. We cannot expect to just waltz into other people’s lives so seamlessly. Even the life of our brother. We must get to know each other again and get to know his family.
John: Hm.
(John sighs.).
John: Oh this is ridiculous we’ve been waiting nearly half an hour now. Excuse me.
(He walks back up to the desk.).
John: We want to see our brother now.
Woman: I have told the Sheriff you are here.
John: Well why are we still waiting?
Woman: Sir please just take a seat.
(John sighs. Joseph pats his arm. They wait another ten minutes before the Sheriff walks in.).
Sheriff: Evening gentleman I’m told that Jacob Seed is your older brother?
Joseph: Yes. He is. We would like to see him please.
Sheriff: I wasn’t aware he had brothers.
Joseph: We haven’t seen each other in a very long time. We were separated when we were children you see. We’ve been searching for him for many years.
Sheriff: That so?
John: Yes it is so. Now can we see him please?
Sheriff: I’m afraid not.
John: What? Why not?
Sheriff: You can’t just walk in here and expect to see a prisoner. Visiting hours are between three and five pm.
John: He’s our brother, we haven’t seen him in years.
Sheriff: I understand that but-
John: No. You don’t.
Joseph: Please. We have been separated for far too long. We need to see him. If only to reassure ourselves that we have finally found him after years of searching and coming to dead ends.
Woman: Could just give them ten minutes sir. It might do Mr Seed some good. He hasn’t said anything since his arrest.
Sheriff: He’s usually a man of few words.
(The Sheriff sighs.).
John: Come on his wife is worried too. She’s stuck at home with the baby while her husband is sat in here.
Sheriff: I highly doubt Mara is worried. But fine. If you think the best way to reunite with your so called brother is through prison bars that’s up to you.
Joseph: Thank you.
(The Sheriff leads them down the hall to the cells. There are six of them altogether but only one is occupied. Joseph and John stare through the bars at the man sat on the cot. He has a crop of red hair on his head and he is wearing beaten up dirty jeans and a battered old army jacket. Around his neck are a set of dog tags and a rabbits foot. He doesn’t look up as they walk in. The Sheriff bangs on the bars with his baton.).
Sheriff: Hey Seed. You got visitors.
Joseph: Jacob?
(The man slowly turns his head and stares at Joseph and John. He frowns.).
Sheriff: Does he even know you? I ain’t got time for bullshit it’s late.
Joseph: We are his brothers. I’m Joseph and this is John. Seed.
John: Technically I’m John Duncan but-
(John falls silent at the look on Joseph’s face.).
Sheriff: Are these your brothers Seed? They say they been looking for you for years.
(The man is still staring at them.).
John: Is he...I don’t know a little...Mad?
Sheriff: Ha! Been wondering that myself.
(The man ignores the Sheriff and gets up walking over to the bars. Joseph stares at him, the name tab on his army jacket reads J. Seed.).
Jacob: Joe.

Knowing that the reason why Ao couldn't bring herself to kill the Bat or Ranka- even when she said she wanted to kill them, and had the opportunity to do so- is because she didn't want to take away their futures is so...... man.
She saw these girls torture or kill other magical girls, and frequently suffered at their hands herself, but despite all of that, she still believed they had a life ahead of them. The thought of robbing them of their chance at a better tomorrow scared her more than what they put her through.
Ao is too sweet for her own good. :(
